Winx Club Planet Origins
I have ideas for how the planets in Winx Club came to be besides the Great Dragon creating the universe. You know how Stella yells “Solaria” for her first transformation in 1x01? I wondered, what if the other fairies in the Magical Dimension did that too. So I decided to create some headcanons about how the Winx’s planets were created. Cause we know where they are from canonically so it’s easier to build headcanons around them.
Domino was designed meticulously by the Great Dragon and it let its essence deep into its magical core/ heart after it died. This is why guardians of the flame are mainly born on Domino. I headcanon that before he went to sleep, the Dragon chose a family line to keep his power and keep watch on the Magical Dimension. He decreed that whoever holds his flame is to be the guardian of the dimension. After the great witches of the dark killed him, the inhabitants say that you can still feel it’s heat, its essence around sacred areas of Domino. Like the Vortex of Flames which is why the royal family built its castle around it, to be close to the dragon. Now on Domino many believe that they all hold a spark of the flame, that their power is connected to the dragon. So until they find their own battle cries, most fairies choose to invoke the great dragon to give them strength. For example: “by the Power of the Great Dragon, DOMINO LEND YOUR FURY!”
Solaria and Lunaria were created by opposing forces. The Great Dragon and the Water Stars had a fight which resulted in the great sun of solaria, which was created from the Dragon, and the Moons of Lunaria created by the Water Stars. When the Stars left, the dragon molded both planets after the light and sheer power floating around since their fight. He then made them neighbours so that everyone knew of the si and moon. Also to make sure Solaria understood where it came from, the dragon forged the second sun out of the first and gave it to the inhabitants, specifically to one he built to have special connection with it. The second sun is why fairies of Solaria scream “Solaria, Let your suns SHINE” because it’s second sun’s light is what powers their beloved planet.
Linphea is Mother Nature’s real name. After being created by the great Dragon, she went around the universe to spread her magic and nature. She chose planet Linphea as her final resting place and gave her heart to power the planet’s magic. The inhabitants can call on her name to help them transform. “By the great roots of Mother Nature, Linphea, I call on your forces.”
Melody as well as the rest of the Harmonic Nebula, was sung into existence by a nymph of the same name, who was graced with the power of the dragon fire. Legend has it that when you achieve pure harmony in yourself and the world around you, you can still hear the nymph‘s song in Melody’s core. So now, young fairies call on “Sing us a Melody!”
Andros and Zenith were once one planet until a comet separated them both. Let’s focus on Andros first. After the collision, Andros became most water. The dragon decided to populate the waters with mermaids and tasked them to protect the oceans of every world, hence the gates. Since fairies are the guardians of nature, mermaids are the guardians of the oceans. Some mermaids chose to leave the oceans and become land dwellers like those they’ve seen from other planets. But they never forget their origins even after intermingling with other planets. To remember their mermaid origins, the Androsian fairies say “I call on the powers of the mermaid, ANDROS, let your currents roar.”
Zenith terraformed over years and is considered one of the youngest planet in the magical dimension. The planet’s core was built from a material enchanted by magic from other planets. The inhabitants originally came from Andros. Those are are the people who choose to completely deny their mermaid heritage. They eventually brought in other people from the other dimensions which is why they have fairies and other creatures… just enough to be considered a magical planet. Everyone on the planet grew rather ambitious and were eager to prove Zenith as a great planet hence the drive to become the most technologically advanced planet in the magical dimension. They are actually the inspiration for Magix City as they were the first people to converge magic and technology. The inhabitants chose the name Zenith because it means the highest point of power which is what they always aim for—perfection. This is a world that doesn’t follow a type of religion unlike the others which makes them so unique. The fairies that come from this planet call on the core of Zenith to power them up with a simple phrase; may our power reach its ZENITH.

How Daphne Haunts the Narrative
I love the concept of a character haunting the narrative. Just… ugh I can’t even explain it.
My favorite examples of this are Sejannus and Lucy Gray in the Hunger Games.
I always found the concept of Daphne to be a very interesting one in the OG, this girl who was a Nymph and an amazing fairy sacrificing it all for her sister and winding up a ghost in a lake.
But I felt like that concept was never used to it’s full potential.
So… I tried to do just that.
In my rewrite, Daphne is almost this larger-than-life entity. She wasn’t just Bloom’s sister.
She was an amazing fairy in her own right, she was a Nymph and the best Guardian of the Dragon Flame that’d been seen in centuries. On top of all of that, she was a dedicated Princess.
That’s part of what makes her tragic, she was the best, and she was still taken down.
Now, Daphne’s situation isn’t what I would call a proper haunting of the narrative, but she’s definetly very present in the way that, in some way or another, almost everything leads back to her.
Bloom is haunted by the idea of having to live up to Daphne, the more she learns about her sister the more she feels like she won’t be able to do just that.
Bloom’s haunted by the memory everyone has of her sister, everyone who remembers Daphne has an insane level of respect for her and misses her dearly. That’s something that can intimidate Bloom from time to time and even make her jealous.
Then, there’s the fact that, if Domino hadn’t fallen and Daphne hadn’t been cursed, then Bloom wouldn’t even be a fairy in the first place.
Daphne gave up, not just the Flame but also a big part of her own power in order to keep Bloom safe and give her the power she would need to be the Guardian of the Flame.
Due to this, Bloom is haunted by guilt and resentment. Guilt due to the fact that pretty much everything she has could technically be seen as something that was ‘taken’ from Daphne. There comes the guilt, which then meets… resentment. Guilty resentment towards Daphne for giving her the Flame and being the action that drops the dominoes towards arguably every bad thing in Bloom’s life.
So, Bloom’s view and relationship of/with Daphne, is complicated to say the least.
This is something I love, since it allows for Bloom’s complex feelings to turn into something that I feel a lot of little sisters can relate to, just the confusion of loving and adoring your sister but also feeling jealousy and resentment and just, not being sure whether you should be like them and trying to be your own person when you have the same teachers… I think it’s kinda relatable in a way. If you take away all the magical shenanigans of course.
This is how Daphne haunts Bloom specifically, but this is named after the narrative, so how does Daphne haunt the very narrative of Veiled Wings?
That, is a very interesting question that has a bit of a complicated answer.
There are two ways in which Daphne haunts the narrative.
The first is ala Star Wars; the story ‘rhyming’. I don’t know if you’ve watched this very old interview with George Lucas but he said something along the lines of “the story rhymes”, what this means is that the same beats occur in the story, in opposite or contrasting ways. They ‘rhyme’.
This is what happens with Daphne and Bloom, in a sense, their stories rhyme.
Both grow up a bit lonely, both find their heart and soul in Alfea. Both make life-long friends there. Bloom finds her connections with fellow fairies while Daphne preffered witches and warlocks and Palladins.
They meet Tabitha and Stella, both with similar personalities but opposite powers. Avalon and Timmy, with the same habit of diving head first into research about anything they’re passionate about and being just a little (unapologetically) weird.
Then there’s their romances. Both Daphne and Bloom have tragedies as romances. Daphne and Valtor started off great, it was their ending that was oh so tragic. While, for Bloom and Sky, it’s Valtor that turns them into a tragedy in the middle of their relationship.
Politea and Selina, both dear friends lost to inner darkness.
Bloom’s story parallels a lot of Daphne’s. (Even if a lot of it is stuff that I just made up that hasn’t really been mentioned or explained).
The second way in which Daphne haunts the narrative, is that, like I mentioned before, almost everything leads back to Daphne in some way or another.
A lot of the villains or people we encounter have ties to her or are situations that she began/participated in in some kind of way.
Darkar was created in part due to Daphne. Darkar attacks Daphne, in turn, Valtor curses him and he becomes the red skeleton we know and love. Daphne is his origin story.
Before Bloom fought Icy, Daphne fought Icy’s cousin and her coven, who was the first to awaken the Ancestral Witches spirit. That is one parallel that I really like just, adding to the fight even if neither Icy nor Bloom are fully aware of the history of previous family also fighting.
Teachers we know (Griselda, Tabitha and Avalon most of all though Codatorta and Palladium also fall here) were once friends with Daphne.
Valtor’s entire reason for fighting is avenging and trying to bring back Daphne. And of course, the Ancestral Witches are locked away in time back in Domino as Daphne’s final act as a warrior.
The end of Daphne’s story sets up the world the Winx start off in.
In a sense, all roads lead back to her.
The narrative can’t escape Daphne’s past actions, her choices, her story rhymes with Bloom’s and a lot of what happens in the story happens due to Daphne’s past and things that she once did.
I always felt like she was never fully utilized in the OG show and I really wanted to have her be a nearly constant presence, I wanted her to be perhaps even more than a ghost.
And thus, the idea of her haunting the narrative and Bloom.

Update: Schedule + Why I Haven’t been Very Active
Hi guys! So, I know I tend to keep any personal stuff off of Tumblr but this time I wanted to explain a bit on why I’ve been almost non-existant on Tumblr and why I didn’t post on friday.
Tbh these past 2 or 3 weeks have been very chaotic due to college, a few outings that didn’t go to plan and my sibling being hospitalized recently (nothing too serious but still I’ve been keeping them company) all in all it’s just been very hard to write these past few weeks.
This next chapter I will try to post as soon as I can, I think I should be able to post it tmrrow maybe, or Monday, I’m not sure, but after that, we’re going back to the every 2 Fridays schedule.
So yeah, things are starting to stabilize (?) a bit and I’m actually going on easter vacations soon so I hope to keep up with the schedule and maybe even go back to posting once a week (which would be awesome but pls don’t hold your breaths for that)
Anyways, thank u for your patience and I’ll keep you updated on any changes

How did Daphne/Valtor Happen? (How did I come up with that?)
One of the things that changed s3 so very much is the relationship between Daphne and Valtor.
The way that this happened is that I really wanted Valtor to be a very personal villain, I already knew that I wanted him to be originally from Domino, and then, while seeing a post about Bloom/Valtor I was struck with the idea of having Valtor have a relationship with Daphne as a way of connecting him even more with Bloom
I also thought it gave Daphne more like… realism? Like, we’ve briefly met people who were at some point or another friends of Daphne’s (Tabitha, Avalon, etc.) but it felt like having Valtor be her fiance made her and the loss of her be more tangible and feel more real in a way, like we meet people who grief her so much
It was a way to give more characterization to both Daphne and Valtor respectively through having them almost die for each other, doing eveything in their power to protect the other but in a way still failing.
I thought it’d be great to just have them be a tragedy. Just for funsies

How Diaspro Accidentally Became the GOAT
This will be a short one.
So, I am aware that my version of Diaspro is… pretty different from the OG and a few other rewrites I read and the thing I really wanted to do with Diaspro was not have her be one-dimensional and use her to explore the royal life.
My first big change was to have her not be in love with Sky, she knows him, she loves him, but she’s never been in love with him. Instead of that, she’s mad at the whole switcharoo and Bloom situation because she and Sky had a deal against lying if either of them caught feelings for someone else and, the bigger reason as to why she’s so pissed is due to not being told about the switcharoo since both planets are supposed to be allies and that’s the kind of information that should be shared.
And, whilst I did have her snap at Bloom when she found out the truth, she did go to Earth to apologize and explain everything, which I loved to write and show Diaspro being someone with a lot of emotional intelligence and maturity, which very much fits her as a princess. Way more than throwing a fit.
In the show I felt like Diaspro was, above all, the ‘other girl’, that was her main trait and the thing all her plot lines revolved around.
So in my rewrite I had her be a princess and future queen above it all. From the way she acts to the way she talks about her alliance with Sky and just- I tried to make everything about her scream royal.
She’s the future queen of a small planet, trying to claw her way to the top. Not by being vicious or amoral, but by being smart and pure determination.
Since I knew I wouldn’t have a lot of time to explore any of our squad members royal duties, I thought it might be interesting to get a peak at all of it through Diaspro.
And I think I did a pretty good job if I do say so myself cause every time she shows up I get a lot of comments calling her the MVP or the GOAT.
So yeah, what was meant to be a one off with Diaspro became her showing up every once in a while cause I love writing her and yall seem to enjoy it every time she shows up.

The Original Ending of S3
So, we all know that s3 was brutal, it was filled with tragedy, angst and just, a lot of stuff went down that the squad is still working through HOWEVER there is one thing that I changed my mind on around halfway through the season, and that is… the ending
So here, I’ll be explaining what the original ending of s3 was supposed to be and why I changed it, obviously MAJOR SPOILERS FOR SEASON 3
Bloom’s Enchantix and Valtor’s fate were the 2 things that were mainly changed.
Originally, Bloom wasn’t going to get her Enchantix until the final battle against the Ancestral Witches.
Essentially what was going to happen was that, Valtor was going to use his connection to the Ancestral Witches to trap them in his own body and tell Bloom to kill him, this was going to happen close to some kind of lava pit created during the battle.
Bloom would stab him in the heart but, in a last desperate attempt, the Witches take control of Valtor for just long enough to snap Bloom’s neck.
Bloom gains Enchantix and, after being confused for a second, as Valtor (now back in control and telling her to let him fall into the pit since she won’t let go) falls into the pit, she’d realize that killing Valtor=to saving Domino.
And that chapter was going to end with the phrase “Enchantix… what a fucking joke.”
Valtor was going to die permanently and Daphne’s spirit was going to vanish.
Now… I think you can see why I chose to change this cause I love angst but this was taking it just a wee bit too far and I just couldn’t see any realistic way that Bloom would ever be able to ever recover from that, it was just too depressing.
I also grew to really love Valtor’s character and I didn’t want to only have him for a single season and felt like I could still do a lot with his character. This felt like too cruel an ending not just for Bloom but also for him and Daphne.
So… yeah… the original ending of s3 was a whole lot more traumatic than it ended up being.

Nabu’s Fate (AKA; the worst decision made in the OG)
This is a question that has haunted my section comments and inbox since I first introduced Nabu; are you gonna kill him?
Kay so to finally put all of that to rest…
Nabu… will… NOT die.
I am not killing him off. Because that was stupid in the OG.
While it could be a great source for angst I just don’t like the idea of doing it cause 1) he’s the character we’ve known for the least amount of time and it’s unfair and 2) it never paid off. The whole revenge thing lasted for about 2 episodes if not less.
I do have smth planned, though I will not specify what it is nor who it’s planned for since tbh I still haven’t made up my mind on that cause, again, Nabu’s the one we’ve had the least amount of time with but he’s also low-key the “logical” option so… yeah.
The only thing I will confirm is that Nabu will not die.

Riven: The Thesis
TW: ALLUSIONS TO AND MENTIONS OF CHILD ABUSE
First things First
If you checked out my Fate rant, smth that truly pissed me off was how they made Riven just straight up unlikable, an ass and low-key a villain.
To me, Riven’s story was always one about how you can change for the better. That it’s okay to be a bit of a prick as a teen cause you’re just a teen and you still have time to grow and change.
So you can imagine my frustration when in the OG, Riven’s character arc was pretty much reset at the start of every season, especially when I feel that they did a great job at showing Riven’s introspection and his wish to change in s1, all for nothing.
And thus… my version of Riven was born.
I tried very hard in s1 to give him a hard shell and a few outbursts but still showing that he’s got a soft heart deep down and is really only lashing out due to how he’s always depended on only himself to survive. And I think I did a pretty good job at that if I do say so myself.
And post s1 we see Riven slowly learn to lower his guard and realize that he’s not on his own anymore. He has a few slip ups because obvs he’s not gonna magically be great at communication but he gets there eventually.
Shirley Holmes and Riven Watson
So, I think that, aside from Tecna, Riven was prob the one that benefited the most story-wise in the changes I made to his family.
Riven has pretty much no one. His dad is very abusive and never truly cared for him and his mom left when Riven was about eight years old, leaving him not only on his own, but to take care of his five year old sister, Shirley.
I gave Riven a little sister to give him even more reasons to have his guard up, because it’s not just his own back he has to watch out for, but he has a sister that depends on him. Shirley herself tells the squad that Riven pretty much raised her on his own.
I love writing these two, who only had each other growing up and are so very close. Up until the age of fifteen, Shirley only ever really trusts her brother.
I think that dynamic adds a lot to Riven’s character. Showing that he is a really caring and protective person, even in the worst of circumstances he always did his best to keep Shirley not only safe but also happy.
Nothing Good Starts in a Getaway Car
Yep, we’re talking bout Darcy.
In my version of events, it would not have made sense for Riven to ever trust Darcy out of nowhere, due to how high he has his guard and the fact that he’s not dumb.
How did I chose to solve this?
Well… Darcy and Riven were childhood friends and had planned to runaway together before Darcy betrayed him, took the money and ran. He knew her as Jennie, his best friend.
Riven only ever had her. Of course he’s got Shirley but… it’s different cause Shirley is his responsibility, while Jennie helped him steal and do whatever they had to do to survive.
Their relationship is def a tragic one due to the fact that they truly loved each other and had each others backs for so long and they were oh so very close to making it, to running together and starting a new life.
But then… Darcy meets the Trix and makes the choice of leaving Jennie behind, which included betraying Riven when they’re fourteen and so close to running.
This is obvs another reason why Riven is especially prickly when we meet him in s1, a betrayal like that was bound to make him even more angry at the world.
But again, Riven is incredibly protective and, once he loves someone, that means he’s also loyal to them, and Riven isn’t someone who stops loving easily. And so… he trusts Darcy. And it nearly costs him his life.
But this is also the thing that truly makes him realize that he doesn’t want to keep on like this. That he wants to change and let his friends in. That he wants to let go of his anger before it consumes him the way it did Jennie… Darcy.
You Don’t Have to be Sorry, for Leaving and Growing Up (Matilda is low-key a Riven song)
A big thing for me about Riven, especially early on was, again, showing his softer side mainly through Flora, Shirley, Timmy and even Darcy.
His rougher side is on full display in his arguments with Sky.
At the end of s1, something happens that allows Riven to finally be safe enough to lower his guard and start growing, he moves in with his maternal grandparents along with Shirley. And, while it takes both of them a while to trust their grandparents, once they do, Riven can finally, finally, focus on himself for the first time in his life.
He develops a close relationship with his grandma, and starts doing some introspection (with help from Flora and Helia) and starts working on himself.
A big help in this is Musa, who also struggles a lot with letting herself be vulnerable.
Now, this journey of Riven’s is not smooth sailing because you can’t just snap your fingers and undo years of abuse and survival instincts, but he works hard on it and we can see that through his relationships.
Season 2 is Riven learning to be vulnerable and fully trusting his friends. His nicknames are kinda a way to let the squad know how important they are to him, he allows himself to be more goofy and more relaxed and comfortable in his own skin.
He struggles the most with Musa due to the fact that, before a relationship, there is a friendship. He and Musa find themselves being vulnerable with one another, which is huge for the two of them. But as they grow closer, Riven is reminded of his relationship with Darcy and finds himself pulling away.
He eventually makes this right but it was very important for me to have him stumble a bit in his relationship with Musa at least at the beginning cause my boy has Darcy PTSD kay? And that was not going to go smoothly if we’re realistic.
Season 3 was for Riven fully coming into his own, embracing what little magic he has (which he never did before cause he got his magic from his father that he hates so yeah…) and just fully getting a good grade in communication something that is both possible to achieve and normal to want.
In season 3 it’s mainly Musa who struggles with communication, which makes them both struggle but they work through it, this time as a couple. Wooooo. Hoorah for two traumatized kids learning how to communicate in a healthy way!
Thoughts Behind his Main Relationships
Helia
These boys are two sides of the same coin.
They both have had anger issues and, surprisingly enough, Helia was a lot more violent than Riven ever was since Riven had a better hold on his anger due to facing major consequences (*cough* *cough* his dad *cough* *cough*) but they bond over trying to better themselves.
Riven learns to meditate with Helia and occasionally even paints with him. Helia learns to fix stuff with Riven and they both love the routine that comes with being Specialists second only to Brandon so they often do work-outs and bets with each other.
Their friendship is one of very different yet similar lives. They get each other in a: we’ve both come face to face with the darkest versions of ourselves and came out on top, we’ve both hit rock bottom and we’re both working on figuring out how to be better.
They’re both very aware of their darker emotions but never judge the other for it. They both have nightmares regarding their pasts and they can open up because they know that they get one another.
Riven trusts Helia surprisingly quickly, seeing himself in the Wizard. The two can trust each other with their past and their shame, knowing they will only get full support from the other.
Musa
I always loved the idea of Rivusa but hated the original execution.
I really like the idea of two kids who have been so hurt by the people that were meant to protect them figuring out how to love each other. How to be open and trusting and just how to work as a couple.
Riven and Musa fall very slowly over the course of a year and a half, they get to know each other, be friends, quite crucially: they’re able to be vulnerable with each other. Which is huge for both of them.
And, when they realize that these feelings are serious and more than just a crush, they are both terrified.
I talk a bit more about Musa’s feelings on her thesis but for Riven, he’s terrified of being betrayed yet again. Of giving his heart just to have it shattered.
He’s also very afraid of Musa not wanting him if she learns more about his past and all the things he did to stay alive.
The part I love about this is that this means that even after they get together we get to see them fuck up. Because just because they’re together doesn’t mean they’re just going to forget years of trauma and having their walls up.
And, in my version, once they’re together, it’s Musa who fucks up by keeping secrets and not being able to bring herself to be vulnerable.
I think my fave part about writing these two is writing about how they grow together both as individuals and as a couple, how they learn to communicate and be vulnerable and realize that they are both here to stay and that this relationship is soft and safe and everything that they have been denied for so long.
That’s what this couple is to me. Two kids learning to love and not be afraid of it.
Flora
Riven and Flora are soulmates. I have no other word to describe their bond. Even soulmates doesn’t feel like it can fully encompass their bond and how important they are to one another.
They have similar fears and traumas, though they respond in wildly different ways. He can’t let himself be vulnerable, she can’t stand her ground. But they find each other and somehow, they start healing and growing together
Their bond is ‘there are people that you just have to meet in order to become the best version of yourself and I know that if I hadn’t met you I would never have been able to become my best self. There are people that just have something to teach you just by knowing them, there are people that love you so purely that you can do nothing but want to grow with them and teach each other so much just by existing together. And you know that if there are other lives, you’ve met them in every past life and will meet them in every future life because you own a piece of each others puzzles that you both need to complete yourselves.’
Their love is absolutely pure, I just love it and can’t quite find the words to describe just how special it is.
Who is Riven in this Rewrite?
Riven’s arc is one that I just have really loved to write. The story of an abused, angry boy that struggled to survive finally being safe and getting to work on himself and let go of that anger.
Riven is someone who has had to look out for himself his whole life, who always been pretty much on his own, the only people he trusted stabbing him in the back.
What is most important to me is that Riven is someone who refuses to let his past define him.
He gets the chance to go to Red Fountain after jumping and trying to rob one of the teachers (James) but, when he gets that chance, he decides to make the most of it, to make a good life for both himself and for his sister.
At his very core, the most important part of Riven’s character is that he is first and foremost, a protector.
He’s the big brother who took beatings to keep his baby sister safe. He stole for his sister and for Darcy to keep them both fed. He’s the boy who, before s1 even started made a friendship with Timmy and dared anyone to make fun of him.
He would do anything for his friends, for Helia, for Flora, for Musa and of course, for Shirley. Because once he gives even a small piece of his heart to someone, they have it for good. For better or for worse.
Riven is a boy growing into an amazing young man against all odds. He’s a boy who took the cards he was dealt with and made a royal flush.
Riven is someone who chose to let go of his anger and grow. He’s someone who decided to become someone he could be proud of.

The Trix’s Fates
MAJOR SPOILERS FOR THE END OF SEASON 3 AND WHAT HAPPENS TO THE TRIX
Well well well… I’ve got some explaining to do.
I knew from very early on that I wanted the Trix to have a tragic ending, with one of them dying, one of them going crazy and one of them just being utterly defeated at the loss of the other two. After some debating, I pretty quickly knew who would end up with which fate.
So… I’ll go by parts, going from oldest to youngest, starting with:
Icy
Icy is the one who goes crazy, losing her mind.
I chose her for this since she’s the leader and the oldest, and losing one of her sisters leads her to fully going off the deep end, she goes too far, gets in too deep.
At the beginning of her story, Icy is very controlled, very paicient and has a full plan. She’s crafty, resourceful and has a family history with dark magic and the dragon flame.
But what sets her off the road is no longer fully being in control due to being out of balance after losing a sister and no longer caring about what happens to her. She has no real end-plan, she has no real goal other than to get back at the Winx and hurt them as much as she can. She was no longer interested in the Ancestral Witches until her plan of collapsing Andros was thwarted.
Icy has a lot of warnings, the very first being when Darcy decides to leave, refusing to stay and watch Icy get herself killed. Instead of letting go and running away like Darcy begs her to do, Icy chooses revenge.
She goes to her home planet, her uncle tries to dissuade her, to warn her of the dangers of the magic that has taken the lives of too many family members, she kills him in order to access that same magic.
She has chances to stop, but she chooses revenge, she feels like she has no other purpose, no other road to take other than to finish what she started the very first time she attacked Bloom.
Icy goes crazy and loses control because it’s the complete opposite of who she was when the story started, she loses everything, included herself.
She choses revenge, choses to continue her family’s mistakes, choses to take the risk of awakening the Ancestral Witches but in the end, she loses it all to those very choices.
Stormy
I went a bit deeper into Stormy’s fate in another post but I chose Stormy to be the one who dies to show her being a bit of a self-fullfiling prophecy, her rage, the very thing that often gives her an edge in battle and helps her in her power to become stronger, is the very thing that kills her.
I chose Stormy to be the one killed also because I had very specific storylines in mind for Darcy and Icy but as for Stormy I just felt like dying would actually be the most interesting, unexpected thing I could do with her.
I thought it could be a very tragic thing to see Stormy, who we know to be fearless and brash and impulsive… die due to a mistake, die in fear of something that she created.
In case you somehow haven’t noticed, I love angst
Darcy
Darcy is the last one standing… well… ‘standing’. I thought that my version of Darcy would be the most devastated to be left alone.
Darcy in my rewrite, has never really been alone. At first she had her brother, then she had Riven, then she had the Trix.
She’s the youngest, the one that they want to protect the most.
To her, being alone is truly the worst case scenario, which is why I chose her to have that fate cause I am cruel. Darcy herself tells Riven in their final goodbye that she’s not used to being alone and that she isn’t good at it.
She gives up. A big part of her dies with her sisters and she turns her back to the ideas of revenge and dark magic.
She was always the ‘lesser evil’ of the Trix, which I feel makes it even more tragic that she ends up so very alone.
Darcy is betrayed once by her brother, being left alone, then she betrays Riven, leaving him on his own, and in the end, Stormy is killed and, seeing Icy is heading down a road that will end in death or worse, Darcy can’t bring herself to watch, to keep going.
————
The reason why I wanted to overall make the Trix’s fates so drastic and tragic was for 2 main reasons.
First off, as a contrast. We see the Winx keep growing and becoming more powerful, while the Trix, as a commenter once said, peaked in high school and have just been going downhill, not truly developing their power after becoming convinced they were at the top of their game in s1.
The second was to show consequences and how high the stakes were for s3. To go all in with the angst and show how, the very first villains of Veiled Wings are destroyed by s3, while our heroes are very much affected and nearly destroyed by s3, but manage to prevail.

TRIGGER WARNING: This first post makes allusion to his suicide attempt and past self harm so please skip it if you need to.
Also, this is not a poem cause I’m not good at poetry it’s just a nicely worded thingy

Again, I am not a poet but I think this turned out okay.
He’d post this a bit over a year after his attempt (ignore the date, it’s not really accurate)

The Sibling Squad (Roxy’s Crew)
This particular thingy was something I came up with at some point at the very end of s1/very beginning of s2 (which is why the ages were retconned every so slightly at this point and Shirley didn’t start at Cloud Tower till season 3).
This is something I was very excited about and, even if very few of you care, I thought I might let you take a peek into my brain and see why I chose the siblings I chose for Roxy’s squad and what each one of them kinda represents/is a foil for.
I’ll go in the order that they were introduced in the series.
Starting off with!!!! Shirley.
I chose Shirley after building up her personality and I feel like she fits flawlessly in as the oldest of the squad. One reason I really wanted her there is for being a witch, to have a good witch tm (and also a fairy-witch romance but that’s neither here nor there) to show off the differences in the way they work.
Of course, there’s also the fact that Shirley has been really dependent on Riven for most her life and, aside from her brother, she’s been pretty much on her own and she’s also the youngest of her coven, so I thought that the dynamic of her suddenly being the oldest of a group she loves and feels responsible for could be very interesting.
Shirley is very protective, she wants to be the protector and not the protected when it comes to this squad, and I thought that could be a cool thing to explore, even if it’s more implied/observed than anything else.
I chose Shirley to be, perhaps not the leader, but the oldest and most protective of the group. You could say she’s almost the Stella of the group… but obviously not really.
Next up, Alexa. Alexa is Brandon’s little sister and I think I’d mentioned previously that she’s ever so slightly inspired by Alisson Argent from Teen Wolf, cause I loved her growing up and it just kinda fit with the character I pictured for Brandon’s sister.
I haven’t gotten to explore Alexa very much, I think she’s probably the least ‘known’ and with less ‘screentime’ in the sibling squad. I did however have her establish kinda what her main goal is in her first appearance in s4, that being to carve out her own place in Red Fountain and not just be recognized for her brother.
She wants to be her own person and, whilst she is incredibly proud of her brother, she doesn’t want to live in his shadow, thus why, she picks the bow as her main weapon, since her brother never excelled in that area, he was only ever ‘okay’ with the bow.
Alexa is probably one of the more outgoing in the group, she is very extroverted and she’s unapolagetic about who she is and what she wants. She grew up with Stella and Sky and learned a lot from both of them on how to just keep going and, just by watching them and her brother, she knows how to deal with different people.
Alexa is a leader, ambitious yet kind, and she will be (at least in battle) the leader of the sibling squad.
Then there’s Naten, who I think is one of the most beloved OC in the series.
Naten is the glue and heart of the group I feel, a farm boy with a heart of gold and more love than he knows what to do with.
He’s a jokester who hides a lot of his complexity behind his soft exterior. It’s not something he really does on purpose, he just doesn’t care how people may think of him or if they underestimate him for liking to joke around.
Like I’ve mentioned before he’s a bit of a jack of all trades and if there are 2 things that define him in Red Fountain it’s his versatility and his dedication. In his character moodboard, I mention that he has dyspraxia, and, despite having occupational therapy with his mom, who also has dyspraxia, he still struggles with it, so he tends to practice a lot to completely master every technique he can in Red Fountain.
Naten has layers, but his main traits are his dedication/stuborness and his love.
^All of them were introduced and had their personalities kinda written in profiles before I even had the idea for the sibling squad, so their ‘roles’ in the group felt very organic to me and were mostly happy coincidences.
The final two are the ones that were written already knowing that they would be a part of this group.
I loved coming up with my version of Chimera. Making her a vulnerable, insecure girl and having her almost be a foil to Stella was just… ugh, light bulb moment for me, truly.
If you payed attention last chapter you may have noticed that Chimera seems to be getting more powerful. A lot of it is thanks to Stella giving her the staff but it’s also thanks to Chimera constantly practicing to be better.
Chimera has a dual role in the group. First, she’s the tank, the one with the power crawl that’ll eventually be a force to be reckoned with. She may seem a bit overpowered this last chapter but it was a very calm situation in which she had full control and already knew the environment and had created similar illusions there before, it wouldn’t exactly be the same in a fight.
Second, she’s the quiet one. She’s naturally introverted and a quite shy/socially awkward. Traits that were made worse after Valtor’s curse.
She’s 1 of the 2 introverts to balance out all the extroverts. She’s the studious one, the soft spoken one, that doesn’t always know how to stand her ground.
She’s also the one who was the loneliest and most isolated before joining the group, she feels a bit insecure about her spot in the group and is just happy to be included.
She’s learning to be a part of the group and is terrified of losing them.
Finally, the one I know you’ve all been waiting for, even though she isn’t technically a sibling, Roxy.
Roxy is the last to join the squad, and she’s the one who will truly bring them together. Cause, at the moment Alexa and Naten are the closest, and the others are more friendly than besties.
Roxy will be the missing piece to fully pull the group together.
Roxy will be the catalyst for the squad to truly become their own thing, to go from being the Sibling Squad, to Roxy’s Crew.
I won’t explain Roxy as much as the others since she’s already gotten a lot more screentime in 10 chapters than the others have had in 3 seasons.
Finally, some of you may or may not wonder why the whole Naten/Chimera mutual crush.
That’s mostly cause it’s cute and I came up with it on the spot when planning out their summer chronicle.
Then I truly stopped to think about it and realized once more, I am a fucking genius.
Chimera is insecure and doesn’t think much of herself, she’s working on herself and being true to herself, it’s logical she’d fall for a soft boy, a boy who wears his heart on his sleeve and is unapologetic about who he is.
Naten has more heart than anything else, yes, he at first glance, falls for Chimera’s looks (which by the way I thought it’d be adorable to have him fall for her first for her looks when Chimera has never felt pretty) and then he falls for yet another soft soul that is trying to be true. Who is just as dedicated as he is.
They’re both triers. Both kids who have to practice time and time again because they don’t have natural talent, but they have an insane amount of determination. That’s something they can understand about each other.
So, going in age order; Shirley is the oldest and the protector.
Naten is the glue.
Chimera is the tank and the quiet one.
Alexa is the leader.
And Roxy is the missing piece.
And I… am very excited to explore them further and… their very first, full appearance, all 5 of them together will be in just two chapters, in chapter 17!!!
