THE DEVIL HAS FALLEN: Y/N Y/L/N FEUD WITH AMANDA MCADAMS FINALLY OVER?

After months of a brutal and relentless feud between Youtube influencer Y/N Y/L/N and actress Amanda McAdams, it seems that Y/N has finally disappeared

After deleting all social media posts, and wiping her accounts clean, Y/N released a statement on twitter, declaring:

Y/N Y/L/N started off as a Youtube creator, filming videos of her singing covers of her favorite songs. After finding no success, she began to venture into creating videos about the one thing she knew everything about: celebrity culture.

Y/N found rapid success and her videos soon became viral, with her first series, ‘Internet Gossip’, explaining various cases of infamous celebrity deama. With the rise of social media and a wave of consuming media based on celebrity drama and gossip, Y/N found her place among an audience of mostly young women.

Soon becoming very successful with her videos, she branched out, beginning a few series, among them, ‘Salty Scandal’, focused on celebrity feuds and ‘Radical Romance’, about ongoing or previous famous relationships.

Although Y/N had a large fanbase, her rise to celebrity status was her first red carpet at the People’s Choice Awards, where she participated as an interviewer. It didn’t take long for her to become viral, as she was abrasive and blunt with her questions, not wasting time by beating around the bush.

Among fans and watchers, she was known as someone who searched for truth. Among those questioned, she was thought of as a person who dedicated their life to exposing others and invading privacy.

Y/N began to see the results of her fame. Her community grew and she hosted countless red carpets, interviewing the most famous people on the planet. And just as she seemed on top of the world, her downfall came from her own creation.

With the video, ‘Amanda McAdam: Actress or Victim?’, Y/N claimed that McAdam’s had dramatized her experience with a verbally abusive director, and that it was all for ‘a pity party’.

Following this video, McAdam’s and Y/L/N began a long feud, including several Twitter arguments and subtle shade thrown at each other in interviews or Instagram posts.

It culminated in what seemed to be the final blow; McAdam leaking Y/L/N's address. People and paparazzi alike stood outside of Y/L/N's home, with signs and hollers to let her know what they thought of her. This caused the Youtuber to have to hire private security to escort her as she moved to an undisclosed new home.

Everyone is glad to see Y/N, the devil of the internet, finally gone from the public view. Hopefully forever.

Redacted Boi Social Media Headcanons

Vincent only really uses Instagram, but is required by the Department to have it private because his human name is legally missing-presumed-dead and his face has a risk of being recognized if someone from his human life stumbled upon his Instagram. That said, he doesn't really screen people who request to follow him

Darlin' and Sam don't use any social medias. Darlin' has a Facebook from teenage years, but they deactivated it. But not fully deleted, so they can still be tagged in all the group photos posted to the pack page. In high school, Darlin' was the person who got a lot of unsolicited DMs because they were hot but they hate attention so they blocked everyone but their pack and deactivated. Darlin' reluctantly keeps their Discord for the pack server

David hates social media. He maintains the pack's private Facebook group and Discord server (though the latter is really more Asher's job, David's just in charge) but will not touch anything else. David's favorite social media is YouTube because he can lookup tutorials for anything and not have to ask anyone for help

Milo's a borderline Instagram influencer. He's got a gazillion followers (who all think he's hot, and he is). His Instagram is directly linked to his Facebook, so every picture and caption he puts on IG gets automatically posted to FB too

Marie comments only on Milo's Facebook (she has and kinda uses IG, but doesn't comment). She's the one that will leave the heartfelt comments with "Call me" at the end. She knows that's a meme among younger people that their older relatives leave "what a beautiful couple. Call me" comments, but she does it anyway. And guess what? She does it because it works. Milo👏 is👏a👏Mama's👏Boy👏 and he will call her when she leaves those comments

Asher doesn't use social media much, but is perpetually on Discord. He mods the pack's server, and like 6 others just for fun. He does post lots of pictures of Babe and selfies of the two of them together on the pack's Facebook though

Damien used to get into arguments on Twitter with randos. Huxley thinks it's funny to pull them up from when Damien was a teenager

Huxley was never much into most social medias but I like to think he'd be like that one TikTok dude who pops up on my Tumblr dash occasionally who explains how to do calisthenics and other workout stuff in a really simple, easy, modified way for people who are just getting started. People started following him because he's hot, and then realized he's actually like the nicest dude and doesn't know he's popular

Lasko's a Tumblr boy. I'm not taking constructive criticism on this

Gavin refuses to get an Instagram because he knows he'd get too addicted to it. He knows he's ridiculously good-looking and would amass a following supernaturally fast, and that's why he won't. But he has his old Facebook from when it first started to be popular. He got rid of all his old friends list and now just has Freelancer, Huxley, Lasko, Damien, and a handful of d(a)emon friends who also have Facebooks like Crux

Avior doesn't have any social media at all

Neither does Caelum and Gavin and Freelancer have decided not to expose him to the negativity of the internet

Vega refuses

Cam keeps a few things for professional purposes, but doesn't use them much

then the first person you should tell this to is LO, because for years this woman has actively rejected consider herself as part of the community or even reaching out to anyone in that community. why do you think there aren't really any Natives who have ever come out to speak in defense of LO? none that wasn't an "anon" impossible to verify, that is. there are actual Native people who have seen what she does with that "heritage" and calle it out. 2. "she should have informed community leaders and walk away".

"other trans women." what trans women? you? okay, that is one. she apologized for misgendering you and saying transphobic things when she first knew about you. you're free to never forgive her for that, of course, but she never repeated that ever again and she has tried to respect your gender and pronouns just like the rest of us. but you're also her sister, one of her abusers and the one who is currently also erasing the abuse that had nothing to do with you, so i think that's good enough of a reason for her to talk about you, trans woman or not. there's also P. the trans woman that you spend years lying about and making gross insinuations about her and her child before anyone ever find out what their relationship was actually like, so the only reason you actually had to say any of it was because she responded to your lies and talked about you. that same trans woman you also doxxed her irl workplace when you heard a unconfirmed rumour from anons that she had showed Courtney's nudes to people. that same trans woman that Courtney has been speaking out as been sexually harassing her since the moment they met practically and currently is trying to paint Courtney as abusive. i'm going to go ahead and assume that you don't really care about her. you were the one revealing her real life information, not Courtney. you were the one saying "ominous" about a trans woman you didn't really know when you found out that she was a parent.

as if trans woman don't have enough false accusations of being a danger to kids. you never had a single good thing to say about P, so let's take her out of the way. which other trans women is he targeting, LO? where are they, LO? if they're such helpless victims of the evil Courtney, wouldn't you want them to get all the support that they can get? so why you're hiding them? are you really going to enable the evil Courtney to keep harming all those innocent trans women who "never did a damn thing wrong" in their entire lives? according to you, who can blame a six year old for not speaking out about your abuse, then that makes you just as bad as Courtney. just like you stayed quiet when you let an actual predator prey on your underaged audience and we begged you for days to do something about it. 5. "partake in white supremacist rethoric." white supremacist do not care about the heritage of Native people, LO. they think their culture is inferior and should be erased, replaced by their superior cultures. they think any signifier of their culture, like their language, their land and their traditions, are garbage to be disposed of. that's your opinion about them, LO. that's what you have said and acted as for years. now, i'm not calling you a white supremacist. i'm calling you a racist white person. that's a difference. 6. i forgot to mark this, but "it was difficult for me because i was both grieving and being introduced to a bunch of new people who i am always nervous about" i know i already used this meme but...

i think you had a slip there, LO. you keep blaming your parents for why you couldn't form any kind of relationship to those people. that excuse could fly when you're a kid that lives under their roof and has limited range of action. not when you're a fully grown woman living on your own... well... "on your own" is a bit of a stretch, considering you very much still count with daddy's money to keep you afloat when your poorly through out videos flop. but you don't live with them. you could have contacted those people on your own, nobody was stopping you. nothing but your own racist notion that being claimed by the Nation somehow meant being forced to live in a "ghetto" reservation the rest of your life. and yet you didn't. Courtney has kept in contact with your aunt. the aunt who is dissapointed in you and wants nothing to do with you. funny how you completely glossed over that, huh?

7. "i have a lot more reason to hate people in the family." you alone decided that he was lying about being raped by your older brother and told to "get over it" by your parents, LO. you alone decided that because that's an easier narrative that both discredit Courtney talking about the abuse you inflicted on him, but also keep the good relationship you want with the transphobic brother who wished you died in order to prey on his children. especially that 6 year old niece. i bet she being that young brings you memories of when Courtney was that same age, doesn't it?

8. "i barely know my grandparents or my aunt or uncles specifically because i was kept away from them so my parent's abuse wasn't discovered." so what is your excuse now? as a 30 year old woman, what is your excuse to not even message your aunt, the only claimed by a Nation relative you have left alive? or you're going to made up they left you another "family heirloom" just after they die, like you did for your grandpa? Courtney has kept in contact with them, despite not wanting anything to do with the rest of the family. it's really that easy. you could always reach out, you have been able to since daddy got you a new house just so you could stop living under his roof. it's okay, LO. you don't pretend to care about a community of people you obviously don't. just say that your "reclaiming heritage" is your burning sage in your room and buying dreamcatchers. that you have no intention of ever being part of their culture. just say already that you think their culture is trash and it's only good as a flee market to pick and chose the part you like. it's what you already imply with the way you act, might as well stop being a coward and be open about it.

9. "my niece and nephew." the more you keep remarking how much you had to endure in order to be close to those children, the more disturbed i get. is it really worth it, LO? having a 6 year old little girl to trust you is really worth forgiving the father who beat you until you were 15, the brother who is transphobic to you to this day and the mother who saw it all and let it happen? is your "love" for little girls that great? i'd say that Courtney really did a number on you, but that would imply that Courtney actually did anything for you to obsess over him even now. you just keep searching for a replacement, just like in your writing, you keep holding to that thought that one day, someway, somehow, you'll finally have that incest lesbian relationship you think Disney gave you in Frozen. don't think i forgot how you also sometimes ship aunts/uncles with their nieces. 10. "she'll get hurt doing it." now, who is the one pretending to be a badass? 11. "i was a pretty disturbed teenager all those years ago." and you have taken absolutely zero accountability or responsability for none of that for decades at this point. you keep blaming your teenage years in writing stockholm (when you aren't lying that other people edited to make you look worse), but you were an adult already when writing about rainbow fantasizing with 14 year old Courtneys, i mean characters. when you do try to talk about being a teenage, you try so desperately to try to make you seem like an untouchable badass that was so cool, knew better than everyone and went unappreciated for so long. a part of me understand that when you were actually an outcast with no friends, that kind of narrative can be comforting, even if nobody actually believes on them. i imagine it must feel great to pretend you always knew everything, including homework, was abuse, because admit that once you were an innocent kid who couldn't understand what was happening is scary. it's scary to admit that someone took advantage of you being so small and then don't have any idea of what to do about it. it's admit that you were vulnerable, helpless and completely powerless. nobody blames you for that. unlike you blaming 6 year old Courtney about not speaking for the abuse you went through, and that he didn't really know about, we do understand that kids should never be responsible for stopping the abuse that awful adults decided to inflict on them.

but you did had a choice to not hurt other people. no amount of abuse you ever went through would make it okay that you kept going to until you were physically unabled to. Courtney has come to terms with what he did because of his trauma and openly admits it. you can't even do that, and not happy with that alone, erase the abuse that had nothing to do with you. because Courtney hates the family for no reason, right? there's no reason for why she'd decide to go no contact for years? there's no reason for why she wouldn't go to your grandpa's funeral? his rapist and enablers being there couldn't ever be a reason.

10. ngl, the way you just keep harping on the runaway boyfriend of Courtney as the main reason why Courtney is supposedly bitter with his life is so weird... couldn't be that you were that jelous of that boyfriend, LO? because they took your "baby sister" away from you? or maybe because, unlike you, that boyfriend did had consent to touch him without him being knocked out? because Courtney was actually happy with him? because it was thanks to him that Courtney was able to lose contact with all of you? Courtney's version of the story is that she's just grateful to being able to get out of that house and i believe him. but it does feel to me like that boyfriend only accelerated what was going to happen anyway. Courtney was always going to cut ties with all of you. he was never going to forgive you for hurting him the way you did. you were never going to find understanding or being told that it was okay, you're not a bad person for molesting and trying to coerce your sibling into commiting incest for almost a decade. even if that boyfriend never existed, you were never going to unlock her door again. but you don't realize that, so you keep building this narrative that decision destroyed the rest of her life and now, as a 30 year old person, Courtney can't stand it. just so you feel better thinking that somehow she'd be better if she just stayed with that family. Courtney took the very first chance he had to abandon you, he was glad to do so. the saddest part is that you still refuse to understand you were part of the reason why that happened. you drove your sibling away, LO. not that boyfriend. 12. gygas literally said it there: Courtney has been in contact with your aunt. you don't. this "internet drama" is you stealing from their culture and claiming an identity that has nothing to do with you. you never even attempted to reach out to those people and you admit it alone here.

I've always been fascinated by girls on the internet. There's something about the vulnerability of a girl in her room that feels uncomfortably familiar to me. Something about that privacy, something within that intimate space, that curates an authenticity that's rare to find in the interwebs. Before "The Influencer" there were bloggers. I would like to take the space to honor them here. :)

Tavi Gevinson- Style Rookie.

This may be the Tavi most know and love and know (The youngster style icon turned Gossip Girl actress extraordinaire)

But this is the Tavi I am talking about:

Style Rookie was like a spiritual awakening for me in fashion format. When I first saw Tavi I was truly awestruck and frozen in inspiration panic. There was this little create going around runway to runway, rubbing elbows with fashion LEGENDS.. devouring fashion at a pace only a fellow fashion beast could recognize. This wasn't just a hobby, this was PASSION in physical form. Her posts on styler rookie, later turning into Rookie Mag- an online magazine- were a cultural shift for every fashion lover and style pusher in the same facility. What a delight it was to grow up watching this icon's origin story develop.

Molly Soda- Digital Artist

If Enya Umanzor had a troubled big sister who left the day after graduation because of mommy issues and the curiosity to find unlocked potential, it would be Molly Soda.

If "She's so real for that" or "She's just like me fr" was a person- it would be Molly Soda. She had a pet rat named Sarah Michelle Gellar (SMG for short) and she turned "beauty" on it's head with what modern scholars would call "Shit posting" herself spitting, puking, picking at her armpit hairs, all while singing so effeminately you couldn't help but be in awe of the juxtaposition of what society says is "appropriate" for a woman to be considered pretty versus what she was showing us: A woman in all her flaws and glory and still beautiful.

Check out her YouTube- Molly Soda is still creating art and content. Landlocked Mermaid- Ex- Tumblr Blogger This is a personal appreciation post here. This blogger deactivated years "before it was cool" (jk) but she really did- and became an obscure memory in the tumblr world. She RULED the indie girl Tumblr scene and went viral for kissing Conor Oberst from Bright Eyes at a concert once. Her family also owned the amusement park BIG was filmed at. I thought she was the coolest. Her and her friend Moonbrains (who I believe is still active on Tumblr) invented "sea punk" which was a mix of her handle name "landlocked mermaid" mixed with the punk movement popularized by the Tumblr grunge trend. (Anyone still own their lime crime "grunge palette"?) aka the Venus 1 haha. It's almost impossible to find pictures of them on the internet so here there are here. Immortalized in ones and zeroes.

Before vivid color existed we had to create and mix our own hair dye. This mix is superb.

There it is folks. Some of the big inspirations for some of my handles. The online ladies who helped shape an entire generation with colorful hair, cool clothes, and music tastes that broke da mout. Forever in my heart and now forever on the inter webs. To my Web Girls... Love, Michi xo

A Tumblr Essay in Response to Youtuber Aldone’s Video Essay Titled “Why Elsa IS A Bad Character”

This is the first time in forever I use anti-tags in this blog, but I have to protect myself. To be fair, this is Tumblr and you have full freedom to block me after reading this post, so bear with me.

And I will close the comment session for this one because I imagine I would be exhausted to deal with it in this particular post. Forgive me for my cowardness.

Caveat:

Trigger warning: This post has mentioned misogyny, mental illness, and cyberbullying.

I should first explain my relationship with Frozen franchises. When Frozen was out, I was a little 13~14 gremlin. I seldom went to theatre for a movie in my entire life, and I am still the same now. In the 23 years of my life, I have ever gone to a movie theatre three times. Every other movie I watch is from DVD renting stores or Disney Plus. Therefore, when I watched Frozen 1, it was when our music teacher in the high school decided to play the film in the class as Frozen 1 was a musical (so it qualifies as teaching material in a music class I guess).

I am a cis woman who once succumbed to 1990s feminism—I refused to have anything to do with feminine qualities as I’ve never learned make-up and dress-up. So Frozen actually resonated with a part of me that I had never thought existed—I saw the girl who wished to be seen as more powerful and tougher in the characterization of Elsa in Frozen 1. But at the same time, the influence of 1990s feminism in me told me that I should feel ashamed for liking Frozen 1. I refused to tell anyone (including my family) that I love Frozen, except my closest friend in the high school.

Once, I had to confess to my younger sister because she found me drawing Elsa fanart. I confessed: “I love Frozen, yes. Your super masculine-looking sister loves Frozen. Could you let me be and don’t tell my Mom? I can’t deal with how she would think of me if she knows I love Frozen.”

I love Frozen. I love Frozen Fever. Olaf's Frozen Adventure is mostly repetitive for me but I still feel the warmth when the sisters sing “When We’re Together.” I understand there are flaws in these films, but hey, I have a fun time watching those films, and they would be a big part of my teenage years.

But I don’t like Frozen 2. I personally disagree with many of the creative choices in this film, which I don’t think I would go too much into in this post. But just so you know: I am an Asian and I once wrote Frozen fanfiction and did prompts occasionally on the Internet platform in my own country. Once my criticism of Frozen 2 was known by the Frozen fans in the Internet community in my country, I was cyber bullied to the point of depression and despair.

That is my story about my relationship with Frozen franchise. I believe Youtuber Aldone has his story of his…somewhat love-hate relationship with Frozen franchise told again and again in his video. (Yeah today I’m going to express my personal opinions on this video essay)

Aldone, if you are reading this, I would like to say that the purpose of writing this post is not out of mean spirit or hatred against you. It is me doing the thing I am more familiar with—writing, to express my thoughts on your several points in this video. I think we can agree to disagree, it’s the purpose of a conversation even though we have never met. I appreciate your effort to put the original video together, as I understand how much work it takes to make a video because I have edited crappy videos for my school projects before.

But I am here just to provide my opinions, nothing more, nothing less. Perhaps by doing so, I can finally have more peace with a part of me that was once obsessed with this franchise. I could finally be free from the prison of this obsession.

And to anyone who cyberbullies Aldone after reading my post, I just want to say: fuck off from my lawn and you are the worst.

Then shall we begin?

Pardon me for not quoting Aldone’s original video quote-by-quote. I would write this in bullet points, but I would simply the arguments Aldone attempted to make rather than quoting them with composing a Tumblr post purpose

1. Aldone: “Elsa’s parents are the worst royal parents in Disneyverse, they were portrayed in a positive light, but everything they did as parents were horrible to Elsa. The issue is the film never made it clear that Elsa’s parents were bad parents.”

My counterpoints: The thing with parenting, imo, is you can love your children but still fuck up the parenting. You can love your children but still gaslight them subconsciously so they will learn better, even if you mean no ill will. Their parents’ flaw was that they didn’t know how to confront Elsa’s emotions after the Anna incident. If Frozen 1 tried to flat-out portray Elsa’s parents as characters like Mother Gothel, manipulating Elsa just for their personal gain, then honestly I would be disappointed. It would not necessarily be a bad story, per se, but how I view Elsa’s parents is: they tried their best to protect Elsa, but they messed up.

“Do You Want to Build a Snowman” for me, it’s a heart-wrenching experience as I feel bad for both Anna and Elsa. Parents served as a purpose to fuel Elsa’s fear further, rather than being a pair of good parents.

The thing about this world is that love is not enough for salvation sometimes. And love sometimes is poison. I don’t agree with the view that there’s “fake love/just obsession” and “true love.” Love is a fact, love is an emotion, but love sometimes will not necessarily make you a better person.

But I gotta say, as a fellow who dislikes Frozen 2, I agree it makes no sense in retrospect considering Iduna had some experience with magical spirits so I am mainly talking about Frozen 1 here.

2. Aldone: “’ For the first time forever’ is good until Hans ruined it because upon re-watching, we know Hans was the true villain. So the contrast between Anna and Elsa in this song is weakened. This song is supposed to be about the hero vs. the villain. (Aldone did not say this in this bracket, but I guess he wanted something like ‘Out There’ in Hunchback of Notre Dame from ‘For the First Time in Forever.’)”

My counterpoints: I am sorry, Aldone. But pardon me for being blunt: I think you grapple with the idea of “Elsa was supposed to be the main villain in the first draft” too much, to the point that you couldn’t see what Frozen is now as an end product on its own.

Yes, I admit it is always interesting and important to understand the creators’ intentions. But sometimes, I would choose to embrace “The Death of the Author” more to free my expectations from those interviews from the creators.

So what’s my point here? My view on “For the First Time Forever” is: This is a song about fear, the very core theme of this film. It is not about good and evil, but it is about how two sisters deal with their fear. Now, you might ask “Well, it is obvious for Elsa, but what do you mean on Anna’s end?” Anna was isolated by her sister without understanding the reasons, her fear was: what if the coronation party couldn’t solve her isolation?

While I personally don’t agree with the choice to make Hans the twisted villain, I do not agree that Hans ruined the song. The contrast between Anna and Elsa in this song still works even if Hans exists, because, for me, Hans’ problems have nothing to do with the brilliant writing in this song and the reprise.

3. Aldone: “’ Let It Go’ is bad for character development because it sends a bad message. It looked like woman empowerment but felt flat because when Elsa built the castle, she didn’t face the consequences of her actions.”

My counterpoint: I think a comment under Aldone’s original video said it better than me: “Let It Go” is about Elsa being a hypocrite.

Yes. And I mean it. Elsa was hypocritical in this song. She sang about being free and could use her power in her will, but she chose to close the gate (of the balcony) right in the face of the audience. She was blinded by her desire to be free from her lifelong fear, but she didn’t realize her ice castle was just another prison for herself because her mind was never free from her fear for real. I feel like I am not reading too much in that particular frame of closing the gate right in the audience’s faces??? I just feel like…the metaphor ain’t that subtle???

Well, people always told me that I read too much in everything. I guess that’s how I function as a human being named Levi.

“Let It Go” was unfortunately framed as woman empowerment because of its fame. Let me say this: If you really have ever watched AMC’s “Breaking Bad,” you would understand the scene when Walter White said “I AM NOT IN THE DANGER, SKYLAR—I AM THE DANGER” is one of the most pathetic moments of the character of Walter, rather than how mainstream critics interpreted as “badass.”

Now, you could say “But this song was supposed to be a villain song! They ruined this song by making Elsa not the villain in this film!” Then pardon me for being a broken record: Embrace The Death of the Author. The song was not ruined, the misinterpretation of the mass did.

Finally, I just would like to add something to “she didn’t face the consequences of her actions.” I think: “For the First Time in Forever (Reprise)” is her consequence. You could argue that this consequence was far from enough, therefore, Elsa never learned from her mistake.

I would like to remind you that feeling guilty doesn’t necessarily make a human being a good person. Oppenheimer was crushed by his crippling guilt after WW2, did that make him a good guy?

Elsa felt the guilt, that was her consequence, and yes, she tried to run away from it, but that made her human. The inability to face her fear was her major character flaw.

But dear Aldone, pardon me but: Having character flaws doesn’t make a character badly written.

4. Aldone: “We don't know what is Elsa thinking that much in the course of the film. (He implied that just seeing how her magic respond to her emotions felt flat in term of characterization) She was too passive in Frozen 1.”

My counterpoint: A character does not necessarily need to be proactive/having their own agency to be compelling. Elsa’s battle in Frozen 1 is her battle within her fragile heart. I understand Elsa felt more like a tragic character belonging to a Greek myth than a main hero/heroine in a Disney film, but to me, personally, that is her charm at least in the first film.

Sorry, this one I only have my own opinions to say rather than delivering anything else more elaborating.

5. Aldone: “It felt forced that Elsa was brought back to Arendelle rather than realising her mistakes on her own. It’s nonsensical for Elsa to escape the whole kingdom after realising the horror consequence of her actions.”

My counterpoint: She was dealing with trauma just evoked by the confrontation with Anna—She just literally re-created the horror haunted in her imagination after the incident in her childhood, I personally think it’s unfair to expect her to react rationally at this scene.

6. Aldone: “Hans' existence ruins Elsa's character arc as well because Elsa is now forced into a hero character which she was never meant to be. She has never faced her consequence.”

My counterpoint: I understand where you came from. But I wouldn’t call Elsa a hero/heroine. I would call her an interesting character, as I have no interest in classifying them into heroes or villains.

I would say: blame the masses for misinterpreting “Let It Go.”

I am sorry for sounding so irresponsible of my own claim in this particular session.

7. Everything in the Frozen 2 session.

My response: I fully agree other than I think Elsa’s character was handled WAY WORSE than her in Frozen 1 personally. But it would require another long post. I have severe PTSD response to watching anything related to Frozen 2 because it evokes memories related to the cyberbullying against me in my country during its release. So no. I do not wish to explain why I personally dislike Frozen 2 on this site at least any time soon. And I do not wish to have anything to do with #BringElsaHome. I dislike it for its plot and character development.

Please forgive my cowardness.

8. So Levi, are you saying Frozen 1 is Pogger, and Elsa is a good character?

My answer: Elsa in my opinion, is relatable and compelling, as a woman whose major flaw was her need to escape her fear, but never realized that such desire would worsen her fear. She is by no means a bad person, but neither is she a pure-of-heart innocent cinnamon roll. I love her as what she was in Frozen 1 and her character is one of the most interesting for me in the Disney animation movies. And I am sorry, I tried my best, but I dislike Frozen 2 personally.

Elsa’s story in Frozen 1 was not about her personal growth, but rather about how such a powerful (magically) woman needs something with human warmth in order to have a chance for her salvation.

You might ask: Does such a “terrible(TM)” person like Elsa deserve salvation even to begin with? My response would be: In my opinion, characters respond to the situations around them with their own blind spots and their limited information like each of us is in the real world. Elsa, in my opinion, at least in Frozen 1, had tried her best despite all her faults. And that to me, earned her a shot for salvation, which was Anna.

And I love Anna as a character. But I just love flawed characters more when I consume fictional stories.

I understand why Elsa’s character arc didn’t resonate well with other people, and I respect their opinions, as everyone can have their opinions.

Finally, I just wish to write some words, and immense myself in my own words so I could reflect on myself more. The fact that I love Frozen and I can’t change my own opinions has plagued me for a long while. I know the fault is mine, and I am currently trying my best to improve my self-esteem.

At the end of the day, let me quote this from Breaking Bad to explain the essence of this whole long post:

“I did it for me. I liked it. I was good at it. And I was really, I was ALIVE.”

Finding out my little sister was ARMY just after Festa 2022.

Recently I found out that my much younger half- sister was ARMY. She’s a pre-teen and I am in my 30’s, so I was really happy to find something else that we could connect with. However, I quickly found out that not everyone was glad about this.

I will be calling my half- sister “Vicky” to make this post easier. I first found out that Vicky was ARMY when she woke me up by playing ‘Fire’ loudly. I was very confused and thought it was coming from my phone, until I realized it was coming from somewhere else. Much to my surprise, Vicky was dancing to ‘Fire’ and doing so very impressively. Not only that, but she was also singing along. I sat and watched. The song ended and she started telling me about BTS and that she wanted to show me another dance. I didn’t say much and told her to go ahead. She picked ‘Dynamite’ next.

I’m not sure if I can fully describe the joy on Vicky’s face when I suddenly joined her in singing and dancing for the chorus. It's a memory I will forever cherish. We talked for a bit and this is where I found out about our different experiences.I asked her how she got into BTS. She said that her and her school friends were really into them and they found them from YouTube videos. My heart both swooped and shattered both at the same time. On the one hand I was SO glad that Vicky and her friends have something so positive, loving and healing in their lives. On the other hand, I was terrified because when she said “YouTube videos” my mind went to a certain kind.Thankfully Vicky doesn’t seem to have come across any toxic videos. She only knows BTS from the official content accessible from Youtube. This means that she has such a genuine insight into their talents and personalities, something that I am so glad for. Because I know that is not always the case.

My Father used to work for a children’s charity. He quit during lockdown, after there was a huge increase of children being bullied online. Even more so, with schools working online more and adding to the pressure. It affected him massively, because he was frustrated with some parents not understanding or caring enough about the harm it was causing. Especially to their mental health. Because of this, Vicky has certain rules she has to follow when using the internet to make sure that she is protected and accessing nothing harmful.Therefore, Vicky has no idea about what the fandom can be like. She loves the members and loves their music, something which I think is lacking for some lately. Especially with so much misinformation being easily spread. With an increasing presence of social media, there is also a massive increase of misinformation and other factors. I have had countless TikToks sent to me that have fake information within them, with lots of comments believing them right away. I correct what’s wrong, but for some they do not care that it's fake. They don’t want to watch everything and instead consume little bites of content. Missing out on some of the most important pieces. By choosing to do this, they are missing out on so much and I am writing another piece based on the importance of content in understanding Jikook and their history.

This misinformation can also hit older fans or the unknowing either. Sadly in the UK, the media portrayed that BTS were completely disbanding after the 2022 Festa dinner video. This caused an argument when my Step-Mum heard us singing and got annoyed that I was being a bad influence. In the argument, she brought up the “hiatus.” She truly believed that BTS were no longer together and she was relieved. To her, my sister and I were just going through “a phase” of liking BTS. In her words, she said that the members never cared about each other and that we would find something else to obsess over.

My Step Mum doesn’t know about BTS or particularly care about them, she just knows them as “that group from South Korea.” For her to make these assumptions on something she didn’t know infuriated me. Not only that, but it greatly upset Vicky. This is something I have experienced ever since it ended up on the news with fake headlines. With colleagues at work saying a few insensitive or ignorant comments. It made me realize that no-one else really understands BTS or their words but us as ARMY. Or understand how close they are. I tried to explain everything to my Step Mum, but she did not listen. Instead, believing that the fate of BTS would be the same as One Direction. (Sigh…)

It made me sad that my Step-Mum had so much hostile judgement towards something that her own daughter cared deeply about. That she wasn’t even willing to give them a chance or understand more about them. It's things like this that makes me hope that one day everyone will try their hardest to understand BTS. Not even outsiders of the fandom, but those within ARMY too. Each word and lyric uttered by BTS is something magical and we shouldn’t take it for granted. Vicky and I both adore BTS. We may have found them in different ways and had different experiences as ARMY, but that love is something that will never go away.

how to address doing something wrong on the internet after getting exposed for it.

so this is a bit more of a serious post but there's a lot of people on the internet being exposed for shady things at the moment, and i wanted to express my thoughts.

i'm making this post after finding out about the hatsumi rou drama on youtube, of which i will be going over her faults and what had happened. i decided to do it here instead of on a youtube comment because she's getting enough backlash already and i don't want to harm her mental health further by putting it somewhere she is likely to find it. trigger warnings are in the tags.

firstly, i wanted to state my place with hatsumi. i never knew her personally, but i was a really, REALLY big fan of her and she was one of my biggest inspirations in art when i first got into it. she was well known in the gacha community, of which i used to be apart of. with this being said, my [old] admiration and idolization of her is why i felt like i needed to give input on the situation.

now, what had she done wrong? in her "apology," she never stated what it was she had been calling herself a "monster" for. i had her in my subscriptions, but i wasn't really into her content as much as i had been nor was i present in her community, so i kind of just shrugged it off, but i was curious when i found out it was a rather lengthy post. after reading it, i look to the comments for some context as to what she had made such a long apology post for.

supposedly, she had been caught grooming a minor and that post was her, said, "apology."

this was something that was pretty unsettling to me, but at the same time, i wasn't... surprised. many people have been getting exposed recently, and in many cases, they do not handle it well and it ends up as a pitiful guilt trip to get others to feel bad for them. unfortunately for hatsumi, this was what she had done.

"english is my second language" stuff aside, her wording on the matter was extremely poor and she kept talking about her problems and not the actual issue. the fact that i had to scroll further to find out what she was talking about already says how incredibly bad your addressing of the matter was.

something that hatsumi had done in this monstrosity was give herself SO MUCH self pity. what she didn't do was talk about what she had done and why it was wrong. she decides to talk about her being an influencer caused her to attempt suicide many times and how she ruined the relationship with her family but she doesn't talk about why she decided grooming minors was a good idea.

another issue with this apology was the fact that she had been giving it to her viewers and fans. we do not need an apology because we were not the victims. you need to apologize to the victim, not us. it does not matter how anxious it makes you, it must be done if you ever want credibility again.

however, it seems she does not, as she had deleted all of her content and left the channel.

if you want your online image to be ruined forever, then so be it, disappear with a sad apology and everything you had done to make this place even more of a dump. but if you ever dream of coming back to the internet, learn how to fix your statement.

now, back to the title. how can you [maybe, possibly ever] save your image? it be murder, pedophilia, or anything else?

- include what you had done and why what you had done was wrong. - do not apologize to your viewers/followers if they had nothing to do with the situation. - apologize to your victims properly. - do not include your issues or things that have absolutely nothing to do with the situation. - don't guilt trip your following. or, even better, just don't do anything wrong at all to begin with and never have to deal with this.

if you side with hatsumi, anyone who has groomed others, or if you are a groomer yourself, i politely ask you to take this post into consideration and get the fuck off of my blog[s] and community.

Hello warriors! I’m a recent fan & have been going down the rabbit hole on youtube. There are so many Aurora videos & documentaries (I felt very emotional watching the HAIK one yesterday) - so I wondered if you had any favourite ones to recommend?

I’m a music therapist based in Edinburgh (Scotland) & am finding her music just so moving. It’s so emotive & healing isn’t it? Although I work with music everyday, as a way to help & connect with people, I don’t think I’ve ever listened to music that’s had this effect on me before. And it’s becoming clear that Aurora has this effect on everyone who hears her music. I wonder if there’s a space anywhere where people share their own versions of her music, or collaborate together on covers? Just some ideas I had. Sorry if this is too many questions, I’m not very good at the internet!

There's this feeling of self-acceptance that only her music gives through being so complicated and multi-dimentional both lyrically and sonically, just like the essense of any person on this planet...

I'm really happy to see more people getting into her way of expressing her thoughts in music and resonating so much, really, you have so many great discoveries ahead! HAIK is indeed emotional, both performance and documentary part, it's defo on my top list! I recently was asked by anonymous warrior about my favourite live performances, and, the list will be the same (all titles are clickable and lead to the mentioned video!):

Nidarosdomen Christmas concert (church, orchestra, AURORA, what else to wish for, especially when Fredrik kicked off his best solo during My Universe), the Japan concert from the end of 2020 (acoustic renditions felt fresh), Somewhere Else Festival 2020 (lights! concept!), my all-time fave live Kex Hostel in Reykjavik during Iceland Airwaves 2018 (aka the first KEXP: the best sound, the best Gentle Earthquakes, the best Forgotten Love, Vetle doing his magic all overon synths), “A Touch of the Divine” (ART), Live at St Michaelis Church / Reeperbahn Festival Hamburg (no professional recordings but chills all over from A Different Kind of Human alone), VIERLIVE live stream with Bergen Philarmonic Orchestra (she has grown so incredibly much as a vocalist since Nidarosdomen), COP26 (a huge portion of love here goes to Fredrik Svabø), and NRK P3 September last year (Magnus is the best backing vocalist for her confirmed)!

As for documetaries... "Once Aurora" will answer ALL your questions regarding her personality, tour and usual life, it's one of the most unique documentaries I've ever seen and a must-check for you, please, don't hesitate to watch! It'd be also important (also to you as a professional!) to check out Lifekeys Talks interview with her: a good insight into her childhood, influences in life and reasons to create music! "Nothing is Eternal" was a good short early documentary which holds a special sentiment to me as one of the first things I've watched while getting into her world! Also really love her small guide into happy life for Glasto 2019, so simple and so AURORA! Also really recommend "Sounds Like A Plan"podcast for getting some wisdom from her and, goodness, there are so many insightful interviews with her and this is all just off the top of my head! Also I have a special tag for the interviews [link] with many posts I stumbled ipon and articles I archived here, so, please, take a look!

As for the space where people share their own versions of her music... A lot of people do that on Instagram mostly tagging her and sometimes on TikTok, happens on YouTube too! Sometimes AURORA France [link] shares some of their favourite covers of AURORA on Sundays! Several years ago even Melbourne Indie Voices performed onstage a cover of The Seed! Also would say that AURORA herself makes wonderful covers, she really makes them in such unique and her own way, always astonishing!

The Washington Post's "internet culture" journalist Taylor Lorenz is under fire for falsely claiming she had reached out to YouTubers in her story about the explosive Johnny Depp-Amber Heard trial.

On Thursday, following the stunning conclusion of Depp's successful defamation lawsuit against his ex-wife, Lorenz alleged the real winners were "content creators" who benefited from the courtroom frenzy with larger followings and spikes in revenue.

"The trial offered a potential glimpse into our future media ecosystem, where content creators serve as the personalities breaking news to an increasing numbers of viewers — and, in turn, define the online narrative around major events. Those creators can also bring in major personal profits in the process," Lorenz told readers. "In this new landscape, every big news event becomes an opportunity to amass followers, money and clout. And the Depp-Heard trial showed how the creator-driven news ecosystem can influence public opinion based on platform incentives."

Her article cites two YouTube personalities, "LegalBytes" host Alyte Mazeika and an anonymous user named ThatUmbrellaGuy. Lorenz alleged that according to Business Insider, Mazeika "earned $5,000 in one week by pivoting the content on her YouTube channel to nonstop trial coverage and analysis." She also claimed that ThatUmbrellaGuy "earned up to $80,000 last month, according to an estimate by social analytics firm Social Blade."

Included in the paragraph was a parenthetical statement reading, "Mazeika and ThatUmbrellaGuy did not respond to requests for comment."

Both Mazeika and ThatUmbrellaGuy refuted the statement, saying Lorenz never reached out to them prior to publication of her story.

"Um. This says I didn't respond to requests to comment? I know I've gotten a lot of emails over the past two months, but I've just double checked for your name, @TaylorLorenz, and I see no email from you," Mazeika called out the Washington Post columnist. "Also, I didn't suddenly pivot. I started covering this before trial began."

Mazeika accused Lorenz of mischaracterizing Business Insider's coverage of her, which she too thought was "unfair." She later provided an update claiming Lorenz reached out to her for comment "after the piece was already published and I had to call it out."

"This is so dumb," Mazeika wrote.

Lorenz appeared to acknowledge Mazeika's public complaint, tweeting "Thanks for replying!" and that she "would love to incorporate your comments!"

ThatUmbrellaGuy similarly called out the Post's article.

"The Washington Post LIED and DID NOT contact me before including me in their story on Johnny Depp, despite reporting they did so," the YouTuber tweeted, sharing time stamps of his tweet calling out the article and Lorenz's email to him sent minutes later.

He later continued, "The Washington Post also FLAGRANTLY misrepresented my earnings report and needs to correct it. Social Blade says I made between $4.9k and $79.1k. They ADDED TO the highest estimate, overreporting for dramatic effect."

The Washington Post article appeared to have been stealth-edited, removing the claim that Lorenz had reached out to the YouTubers for comment without an editor's note acknowledging the change.

The Washington Post did not immediately respond to Fox News' request for comment. Fox News also reached out to Mazeika and ThatUmbrellaGuy for comment.

Lorenz has long been criticized for her journalism ethics. In 2020, she repeatedly publicized the 15-year-old daughter of Trump aide Kellyanne Conway for the teen's outspoken TikTok posts and allegedly reached out directly to the minor without her parents' permission.

Conway recently torched Lorenz for obsessing over her daughter, referring to her as "Peter Pan."

In 2021, Lorenz falsely accused business tech entrepeneur Marc Andreessen of "using the r-slur," which she admitted was an error.

In April, she doxxed the identity of popular Twitter personality Libs of TikTok just days after she decried the online harassment of women.

Lorenz was ridiculed for her report last month alleging Nina Jankowicz, who was set to be the executive director of the Biden administration's so-called "Disinformation Governance Board," was the "victim" of "right-wing attacks" as the Department of Homeland Security was putting a pause on the initiative following weeks of intense backlash.

Eventually, the group made it to the Cox’s house located in the heart of Del Sol Valley. The place was so big, it was probably as big as their three childhood’s house combined. Immediately, Paisley and her husband, Damian, came to greet them.

Paisley: Welcome! Welcome everyone!

Now at their final destination (2000), Akva, June and Athena could settle down. But you know, they were originally here for someone in particular, so Paisley wasted no time to show up her little girl. She came back from upstairs holding a little girl with green hair like her mom, and blue eyes like her...other mom.

Paisley: Akva, this is Saraswati. Swati, say hi. Swati: Hewo. Paisley: You see, I named her Saraswati cause like, I did my research y’know. So I found out Saraswati is a Hindu goddess who is strongly associated with water, and I wanted her to keep a connexion with both her Indian and mermaidic heritage, but it was extra perfect for me cause I always loved the named Sara which just seems like the natural nickname here. Though I am pretty much always calling her my little Swati, it has a nice ring to it don’t you think? Akva: You’re right, that is a greatly thought out name. Paisley: Do you want to hold her? Akva: Uh...Sure.

Paisley gave the toddler to Akva. However, as soon as Swati was in her arms, she started wiggling around yelling “noooooo” and screaming for her mommy.

Paisley: Oh um...well...She’s probably hungry, it’s almost dinner time after all. Also she refused to nap during the afternoon so she might be a bit cranky. Akva: Why? Paisley: That’s toddlers for you. They can be mad unpredictable. Though maybe she was too excited to sleep cause I told her we’re having very special guests this weekend.

And so, Paisley gave Swati a little ham sandwich while the adults sat down to figure out what they were going to eat tonight. They settled for getting food delivered and while they were waiting, they discussed about what they had all been up to in the last few years.

Akva: I’m going to flight school. June: Bitch since when??? Two days ago you were crying to me on Snapchat that you failed all of your classes but one...You’re studying physical therapy. Akva: Going. Future tense. I’ve decided that if traditional college can’t work out for me that’s what I’m gonna do, and it’s currently, indeed, not working out. June: Still? You never ever showed any interest for that before? Athena: Well, speaking of college, I just recently graduated in video editing! Paisley: Wow, congratulation! You know, I’m looking for a new editor for my YouTube channel, the last one quit to work on a movie, so if you’re looking for a job, I’m just saying... June: By the way, why don’t you ever show Saraswati or even say her name? She’s cute, don’t hide her. Paisley: Well, I believe showing your kids on the Internet is highly unethical when they’re too young to consent or even comprehend that. I mean, it’s one thing if you’re just a random person on Facebook who’s only friends with people you know in real life and set on private, but I’m an influencer with millions of followers. I’m doing that for her own safety. June: Oh, that’s actually a great reason. You’re such an unproblematic fav Paisley, it’s crazy. Athena: ...Didn’t she sold diet tea that essentially just gives you diarrhea? June: It was in 2018 and she didn’t know any better! Everyone did that back then! Paisley: Oh my god, exactly! I’ve already apologized a million times let it go. Athena: I will if you pay me decently for that editing job.

Akva sat there. She doesn’t watch Paisley’s content, but June did tell her she rarely talks about Swati, which is why she still didn’t know after 18 months what her name was. To be fair, it’s also because she didn’t wanna know up until now...Still, she was happy she wasn’t parading the little girl around and acting like she’s such a great person for adopting, but like...What if in actually it’s the other way around and she’s hiding Swati cause there’s dark stuff going on behind the scene?

But no, thankfully, everything seemed to be well and Swati clearly loves her adoptive family. Good right? ...So why did it made her so sad?

Swati: I wuv you mommy. Paisley: Me too sweetie! But yeah, anyway, you’ll notice a lot of her stuff are pink, cause like I found out I was gonna have a girl and I went crazy. But like, I’m not forcing her or anything, now that she’s old enough to start to develop her personality, I’m always encouraging her to express herself and I let her pick the colors of her clothes and stuff. Like in the toy store I just let her guide me and she can pick from any section. I don’t care, it’s 2021 my daughter can play with cars if she please just like she can play with doll. We also buy her a lot of pool toys so she can have fun while staying a little hydrated mermaid. Damian: Her favorite toy actually is a horse figurine she found at my parents’ place. It’s adorable, it’s as big as her face. Paisley: And this summer, we’re gonna go to Guyana so she can see her parents’ motherland. She’s still young, but you know it’ll only be the first visit, we’ll make sure she gets to visit it plenty of time growing up. Athena: Actually, that’s only Akva. My dad is Trinidadian and my mom is Greek. Paisley: Oh my god, that’s perfect! We were also planning on going to Greece this fall! Akva: I-I need to go to the bathroom. Damian: Go to the living room, and turn left. It’s right there.

The mermaid left the table with a big smile on her face, which faded as soon as she was out of sight.

Why was this making her so sad, so angry? She knows she cannot raise Saraswati, she doesn’t have the money, resources or space to do so. The Coxs are clearly amazing parents who care for their daughter deeply and love her so much. They are doing everything adoptive parents should be doing so perfectly, it’s almost comical. It almost felt unfair how good Paisley was at being a mom compared to what she would have been had she raised Saraswati herself. She’s the one who gave birth, the one who had her womb hijacked for nine months and now has her body permanently altered, so why isn’t this coming naturally to her??? At the same time, she’s not even sure if she does want to be a mom eventually, and she knows she can’t right now!! And even if she could, Saraswati is already attached to Paisley and Damian and loves them, she can’t take her away from them. Fuck, she herself has never even been to Guyana!

Such a weird, weird feeling to have...

Get Ready To Shop

It’s fun to think back to the 80s. While it seems like they weren’t that long ago, we must sober up and realize that was—um—40 years ago, depending on which year you’re recalling. Those were good years for me. I earned a BA, MBA, and PhD, and started my job at WT. Oh, and got married the first time. OK, four out of five ain’t bad.  

It was the time of hair bands, women in colorful leotards and cozy leg warmers, and Ronald Reagan. Actually, if you could mash up all of them into one, it would be pretty funny. And it was also the decade that televised home shopping clubs took root, thanks to the prevalence of cable TV.  

Home Shopping Club (later Home Shopping Network, or HSN) was founded in 1982, and four years later, QVC (Quality Value Convenience) came along to compete. They’re both still in existence today, although the company that owns QVC now also owns HSN. It’s an alphabet soup, but the premise is the same: nonstop 24/7 live selling.  

While these started out primarily as liquidators, they quickly grew into a variety of categories, especially clothing and accessories sought by women. Fashion designers jumped on board, drooling at the prospects of a sales platform that could stretch as long as the company wanted. Create excitement, show a quantity available countdown clock, and voilá! The phones were ringing off the hook as folks called in (remember, this was pre-internet!).

To be honest, I think those original stations preyed upon lonely old women. My mother was one of them. She bought a lot of worthless junk from them, but at the same time, they provided entertainment. For the life of me, I cannot understand how having someone sell to you nonstop is entertaining, but it was.

I never tuned in to those stations on my own, but would be subjected to them whenever we visited Florida. And now that both are gone, I haven’t even given a passing thought to them. Well, until right now, when I discovered that livestream shopping may be the new rage, and outlets like Amazon, TikTok, and YouTube are actually banking on them.

It’s a new spin on an old idea, and looks and feels a lot different from the 24/7 onslaught on cable. This time around the people doing the selling are influencers, and they call the shots for when they go live. And among the three platforms duking it out for prominence, only Amazon can actually stock the inventory and make for seamless transactions.

All of which means that, if you are a fan and potential customer of someone you follow, you better be ready to go shopping whenever they pull the trigger. In some regards, this now sounds like BeReal, in which users have no control over when they are called to action.

Perhaps the most ironic aspect of livestream shopping is that it became a “thing” in China a few years ago, especially during the pandemic. And while Amazon found it could not export its ways to China, the opposite may very well prove to be true here. Looks like another weather balloon to me.

Personally, I’m just not that much of a shopper. I tend to be very purposive, having done my homework for a long time on pricey objects, saving my money, and waiting out the periodic sales. I do not, however, respond well to someone barking out orders and telling me to get on this.

But then again, it may very well work stateside, where I suspect the demographics will trend sharply toward Gen-Z, and, depending on the product categories, probably more female than male. I cannot speak for all of the people of my gender, but I’ve got too many things going on during my waking hours to even consider being on-call for a sale. That’s me, though. YMMV. And to be fair, I can’t picture many women beyond their 20s—working, with children, bills to pay, spouses or partners—yeah, this may be a non-starter with them as well.  

Thankfully, online shopping and app usage is lowest among seniors, so people like my mother are probably not in the new target market. Otherwise, we might see history repeating itself.  Just leave the bad clothing in your closet.

Anastasia Tremaine || 27 || Influencer || Echo Creek

“If only I weren't so clumsy and plain.”

✨Biography:

No matter what anyone says, Anastasia Tremaine knows there is always a favorite twin, and she is not her mother’s. She had a close relationship with her father, but he died when the twins were in their teens. It wasn’t long after her father passed that her mother found another husband to marry, and it made Anastasia sick. She was always a hopeless romantic, and it was unfathomable to her that her mother could just fall in love with another man so fast. So, it was her mission to make her new step-father and step-sister’s lives a living hell. Ella seemed like a nice enough girl on the surface, but she just couldn’t stay in her new home a second longer than she had to. Her attempts at convincing her mother to divorce, though, were rendered useless when her new step-father died. Anastasia could tell her mother’s reaction wasn’t as sad as when her father died, but her step-sister, Ella, was heartbroken. She felt kind of bad for the girl, but her mother insisted on exploiting Ella as their new house maid, until she ran away after one of Kit Charming’s infamous balls. It was kind of impressive, the way that she just … disappeared, but her older brother, Lucifer, is dead set on finding her to bring her back and help with the Tremaine estate. Anastasia could swear she’s seen her at the Charming house once or twice when she was there for a party, but she figures keeping Ella’s cover is the least she could do after torturing her before and after her father died. Besides, she’s kind of terrified of what Lucifer might do if she returns.

Neither Anastasia nor her twin, Drizella, went to college. Instead, the two started joint Instagram and YouTube accounts. Between their mother’s fortune and their sponsorships, the two are doing quite well, sharing a luxury apartment in Echo Creek. They butt heads quite often with their opinions on their content and what sponsors to take, but their image remains clean and put together enough to fool the Internet. Their followers seem to think that Drizella is the prettier, cooler one, just like she’s been their whole lives in their mother’s eyes. It wasn’t until Anastasia met Lance Strongbow , the head chef at a small cozy restaurant in Echo Creek, that she thought they might be wrong. He was weird and a little dorky, but Anastasia fell in love. He made her feel beautiful and seen in a way that she hadn’t ever before. When she tried to tell her mother and Drizella about him, though, the two schemed to make up a lie that he was in love with someone else; they considered Lance not good enough for Anastasia, and insisted that she find someone of the same status. They haven’t seen each other in a while, and Anastasia has been avoiding Lance’s job ever since, but she keeps seeing the messages come through on the twins’ Instagram from him, deleting them before Drizella could see. She’s hoping that Lance stops contacting her soon, because it breaks her heart too much to keep ignoring him. Until then, she keeps trying to find someone else that her mother and sister would approve of, hoping they’re at least half as kind as Lance was to her.

Sterling Creek: The two dated for a while after Lance, but as soon as she thought things were going well, she found him and Drizella making out at Wonderland one night. Anastasia is still pretty heartbroken about it, and mad at Drizella, but he was no Lance, anyway.

Creator Clash: thoughts and ranking matches

What up everyone! Dan here and this isn't a review per say, but rather my thoughts on the Creator Clash boxing event hosted by Idubbbz. This is different from your typical celebrity boxing or Paul brothers fights because this is actually entertaining and its for charity. This was an awesome event to watch and a lot of my favorite Youtubers I watched growing up were boxing or in attendance at the event. Plus you had Moist Critikal aka Charlie aka Penguinz0 commentating at the event which was just the cherry on top. It was a fun event and the fact it was all for charity to help with Alzheimer's research along with a couple others was real nice, I respect everyone who participated in this event. With that said, I figured I'd do a little ranking of my favorite matches from the event. There were nine matches in total and I'll rank from least favorite to most favorite.

Now keep in mind these are Youtubers, not professional fighters so I'm not here to insult any of them because anyone willing to get in the ring to fight another person for charity earns my respect at the end of the day. Just giving my thoughts on each fight since they all fought in more amateur boxing sanctioned rules.

NUMBER 9. THEODD1SOUT VS. I DID A THING

This was the 4th match of the night and it was also James (THEODD1SOUT) birthday so that was cool. I'm surprised he event took this fight and it was clear that Alex (I DID A THING) was ready to go ham because he gave James a good one, two and James was already out of it. Luckily for James, Alex didn't follow through and blast him like team rocket. But shortly after the ref stopped the fight in the first round with 36 seconds left on the clock, making Alex the winner by first round TKO. I don't think James was serious about this match considering he didn't seem physically or mentally ready for this but regardless, still cool seeing these two clash.

NUMBER 8. INTERNET COMMENT ETIQUETTE WITH ERIK VS. DJ WELCH OF ANIMATORS VS GAMES

This was the third match of the night, I love heavyweight bouts because one punch can change the course of the fight. This bout was a little different since both fighters wore headgear which is understandable because this is all for fun and no one should get seriously hurt. This match did go pass the first round which was cool, but DJ had this match won while Erik was struggling to hold on. To be fair, both guys were exhausted after the fight but DJ had the most aggression and pressure which won him the fight. They went two full rounds before Erik threw in the towel before the third round making DJ Welch the winner by round 2 RTD.

NUMBER 7. JUSTAMINX VS YODELING HALEY

This was the fifth match of the night and the first female youtuber/influencer boxing match so that was pretty neat to watch because I do think Women boxing is entertaining to watch and at times explosive. I do hope this sets a trend or kickstarts more female content creators to get in on the action too in the future. The actual match was decent, but there was a definite size difference because Becca (JUSTAMINX) is built like a tank compared to Haley. Becca had size and power on her side in this clash, She was like a female Tyson Fury. To be fair, I will say Haley had more speed and accuracy and she absorbed plenty of punishment. as the fight neared the end, both were exhausted and throwing sloppy and slow punches. But Becca had more weight behind her punches which soon overwhelmed Haley and the referee stopped the match at the end of the forth round making JUSTAMINX the winner by fourth round TKO.

NUMBER 6. GRAHAM STEPHAN VS MICHAEL REEVES

This was the seventh fight of the night and this lightweight bout was pretty competitive seeing how both were pretty even coming into this fight. The first round was more of a feeling out process but it had it's moments where these two clashed it out a bit. Come the second round, that would change. Graham was putting on the pressure more in the first half of the second round and just when it looked like he had this in the bag, Michael came in with a powerful right hand and dazed Graham. Soon Michael would clock Graham with another right hand and back him into the corner like a wounded animal. Michael kept clocking Graham with right hand punches and the referee stopped it with 15 seconds left in the second round. Michael Reeves won by second round TKO and when asked if he would box again, Michael responded "FUUUCK NO!" which I thought was hilarious.

NUMBER 5. MATT WATSON OF SUPERMEGA VS. DAD

This was the first match of the night and would set the tone for how the entire fight card would go. This was a shock to everyone considering this fight would only last 22 seconds in the first round and there was a huge age difference between the two fighters. Matt is 26 while Nathan (DAD) is 41 years old. That is a 15 year age difference, I thought that was Matt's Dad and everyone thought Matt would destroy Nathan but you'd all be wrong. Nathan came in looking shredded and completely obliterated Matt. Matt tried to set up Nathan with a jab, but Nathan came in fast and furious with some beautiful left hooks that stunned Matt and followed it up with a wild right hook then another crisp left hook until the referee saw enough and stopped the fight at 22 seconds making DAD the winner by first round TKO. This was a George Foreman style victory where the old man taught the young buck to respect his elders.

NUMBER 4. RYAN MAGEE OF SUPERMEGA VS ALEX ERNST

Man, this was not a good day to be a SuperMega fan. However unlike his partner, Ryan Magee would go pass the first round and give quite a performance again Alex Ernst. This was the second fight of the night and both these guys may not have had the best boxing experience, but they gave it their all with some nice back and forth action that lasted the entire five rounds of the fight. These two truly became warriors in the square circle fighting each other going back and forth with nonstop action. Ryan was looking worse for wear as he suffered a bloody nose several times but he never gave in and kept of fighting Alex going on pure instincts. Both were exhausted and at the end of five action packed rounds, Alex Ernst was the winner by Unanimous Decision and both men gained respect from the crowd and each other.

NUMBER 3. HARLEY OF EPIC MEAL TIME VS ARIN (aka Egoraptur) OF GAME GRUMPS

This was the eighth fight of the night and the Co Main Event of the card. I grew up watching these two in my teen years and to see them fight it out was something I never asked for, but glad I got. I've been watching Harleys training videos and surprisingly he took it seriously and it shows on full display in this match. Harley was patient, precise for a big heavyweight and gave some major combinations and uppercuts that did Arin in. While Harley put in the work to win this match, I don't feel Arin trained enough, though to be fair he accepted on five weeks notice so I give him credit for his efforts in the ring. If Harley does this again, he should go up against someone who's closer to his size and hopefully with enough time to train to compete with Harley.

NUMBER 2. HUNDAR OF MUSCLE PARTY VS. AB OF H3 PODCAST

This was the sixth fight of the night and let me just say, Hundar looks like a god damn Viking. Seriously, he's like a real life Kratos yet he sounds like a teenager, it's a little funny ngl. This match was probably the closest any of these fights came to a legit boxing match at pro level. Hundar and AB were both technical in the first half of the fight and they were landing clean shots. In the third round, Hundar unleashed the God of War and threw a right hook at AB's head knocking him down. AB beat the count and responded with his own right hook knocking Hundar down. Hundar beat the count and they battled it out till the end of the round. This fight was shaping up to be a true clash of titans and it made it all the way to the fifth and final round of the fight. These two gave it their all in the final round but in the end, Hundar went to the body and started weakening AB until AB couldn't keep going and the referee stopped the fight with a minute and four seconds left. Hundar won the fight by fifth round TKO, definitely one of the better fights and arguably the best fight of this night.

NUMBER 1. IDUBBBZ VS. DR. MIKE

The ninth fight and main event of this fight card, Ian (Idubbbz) put this all together in the first place so it's only right he finishes it off with a grand finale. Ian surprised us all coming into this, while we may have wanted him to win, I think we all knew that was highly unlikely considering Dr. Mike has been boxing for years. Despite that, Ian trained hard and took this seriously going in as an underdog against someone with far more experience and knowledge doing this not for clout or recognition, but for a good cause and a good time. It was clear Ian was losing all the rounds, but he never gave up and wanted to give the crowd an entertaining fight. It was suppose to go four rounds with three minutes each, but I guess they changed it perhaps because the fighters couldn't handle that type of condition? who knows. Either way this was a great fight, Dr. Mike was dominating, but Ian stayed in there to give a competitive match for the good doctor. While Dr. Mike won with a lopsided Unanimous Decision, at the end of the day, Ian was the true winner for setting this event up and providing a fun time for everyone. Everyone in this event won, the fans, the fighters, the charities, everyone. Ian never had intentions of winning the fight itself, look at the poster. The poster was foreshadowing what was to come and he knew this as well but it didn't matter since everyone had a fun time. For that, Idubbbz is truly a winner in my eyes and I thank him and everyone involved in making this possible.

“Wait, so you dated the police chief’s daughter?!” Will exclaims in shock.

They’re on skype for the third time this week. They’d been talking for close to two hours already about random shit, everything, Mike can’t keep track of it all. He thinks he’s getting some kind of high from it, Will will ask him what he thinks about some game, book, youtuber, and all the things he’s ever wanted to say to someone come spilling out. The conversation now, however, has veered more personal and it’s making him fidget something like crazy.

“Yeah…” Mike’s face downturns.

“So did you like, get away with everything?”

“Fuck no, he hated my guts! I couldn’t do anything, he thought I was like a bad influence cus I hung out with the ‘burnout types’,” Mike uses air quotes, “You know the kind of kids he’d bust in the woods for drinking or smoking or whatever,”

“Oh so you were a bad boy,” Will raises his eyebrows teasingly.

Mike grows red, flustered, laughing nervously “No, no, not like that just, my friends, well I don’t even know if I call them friends, I just kind of hung around them,”

“Why wouldn’t you call them friends?”

Mike blows air out like a horse, “I don’t know, like they were —or are-—my friends but not really? I don’t know, it’s hard to explain, like I can hang out with them but I don’t really talk to them, at least not in the way that we talk, you know?”

Will nods, “Yeah I get it. Who do you think are your real friends?”

It’s such an innocent question but it makes Mike sweat, this is when Will finds out just how much of a loser he really is, “Um… I don’t know,” he starts off quietly, “Uh I mean Jennifer was a real friend, she was pretty close to a best friend,”

“Mmm,” Will looks like he’s really considering Mike’s words and it excites Mike but it’s making his face heat up and his hands shake, the way that Will is thinking about him, please don’t see that I’m just stupid little boy now, he thinks.

“Why did you guys break up?” Will asks it so nicely, so carefully, like he knows how sensitive this is to him.

Mike clears his throat and swallows, “Well, I mean, she’s going off to college and I wanted to stay here and take a gap year and you know distance and-” he shrugs, “that’s just how it goes right? It’s a nice thought but who really stays with the person they were with in high school,”

He tries to end it with an air of casualness, of normalcy.

“Did you love her?” Will’s brow was furrowed, as he’s picking at something off screen.

“Sure I mean, yeah,” he tries to say it with enthusiasm but it comes out sounding sarcastic, “she was like a best friend you know,”

He sees Will smirk as he raises his eyes back to Mike, “So that’s a no then,”

God he loves it, but also hates how Will is not afraid to poke at his obvious bullshit.

He lets out an exasperated breath, “No- well- yeah, I just… I loved her in a way you know. You know like a best friend, that’s kinda how I loved her.”

“You keep saying like a best friend, what do you mean by that?” Will asks it with no bite, genuine curiosity in his eyes but the question breathes down his neck.

“Are you gonna nit pick and psychoanalyze every word I use?” he accuses but there’s a smile on his face as he asks.

“Mmmm,” Will stops and pretends to ponder this, ”Yes, yes I am,” and he directs the smuggest grin at him.
