how i think the haikyuu characters would act when they have a crush on u, but make it ooc cause i’m secretly a sap

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

suna rintarō

it’s pretty obvious to figure out that he has a crush on u, if u know where to look for. in this case u don’t, so he has a bit of free reign. the miya twins tease him a lot every time u walk by and greet them, cause suna be blushing a bit. like it’s not really that noticeable, but it’s definitely there. they also comment about the fact that they can’t have a conversation with him, cause mans be on his phone responding to ur messages or (stalking) looking at ur socials and liking every post/pic. he isn’t someone who responds quickly to messages, except when it’s u. if it’s u, then u can expect a reply seconds after u send him a message. like he’s so chatty with u on text and he even at times calls u on facetime, just cause he’s bored or he will use an excuse of not understanding his homework and needing help. he also likes to pick on u or make fun of u in a playful matter, just to see u laugh or smile and he calls u ‘bubs’ or ‘squirt’ most of the time

akaashi keiji

another one who didn’t realize he has a big ass crush on u and all of his team members figured it out before him (even bokuto), he’s happy that u didn’t figure it out tho. he remembers every single details about u and he actually loves it when he gets to learn more about u every day. it could be something completely random, like mentioning that ur afraid of owls since that one particular episode of atla (this may be self-indulgent lmao) and he will remember that shit, even bringing it up sometimes. he also can’t keep his eyes off u and he tends to stare at u quite a bit. if u catch him tho, he would give u a soft smile and a wink while diverting his gaze to something else. u can easily spot his blush tho. and like iwaizumi he will help u with anything and i mean ANYTHING. like u can mention ur really craving some strawberry milk and he will give it to u the next class he sees u

oikawa tōru

mans would fix himself up even more around u, like ur whole existence intimidates him (in a good way, don’t worry), he just thinks ur absolutely gorgeous and he doesn’t wanna get left behind (even tho he knows he ain’t ugly lmao). he wouldn’t be all that secretive about his crush on u, but he also doesn’t scream it from the roof yk. he likes that ur different than his fangirls and he appreciates that u always listen to him. that’s why he conveys some of his secrets to u as well as problems he faces due to being captain of the vbc and the high expectations he has for himself. he asks u for advice and truly takes it to heart, something he wouldn’t do with others since he’s so fucking stubborn most of the time. he also reveals personal details about himself to u, things only those who are the closest to him knows (like the third years)

miya osamu

osamu tries to hide his crush on u, but with a brother like atsumu and a friend like suna, it’s almost impossible to keep it hidden. fortunately for him, ur the only oblivious one. ‘tsumu tried to set u two up by inviting u to come hang out with him, ‘samu and suna, but when u we’re waiting with ‘samu u got a message from both ‘tsumu and suna that they ‘couldn’t make it’. ‘samu got so fucking nervous. he kept stuttering and stumbling over his words, a habit that keeps on repeating every time he talks to u. he asks u a lot, like A LOT of questions. not only because he doesn’t wanna embarrass himself further, but also because he truly wants to know more about u. and every time he finds something u have in common with each other, he won’t hesitate to bring this up

kozume kenma

honestly i don’t blame ya for not noticing his big crush on u, mans is very secretive about it and only kuroo knows by accident. the only way to decipher if he likes u or not is if u focus on his non-verbal communication. for example : he doesn’t do this intentionally, actually he doesn’t even notice that he does this, but he mirrors ur physical behavior. so like every time when u two are with each other (be it only the two of u or with friends) and ur bouncing ur leg, he actually does the same without realizing it. like sakusa, he also avoids unnecessary contact with others, but with u he can’t seem to keep a distance. he likes to stand next to u or near u and when u talk he will put down his game console to give u his undivided attention

these are some simple gestures i see some of the haikyuu boys do to let u know that they love u

suna rintarō - sharing tiktok/random vid links with u that he knows u’ll enjoy

suna isn’t the type to outright shower u with love and affirmations, he’s more subtle about it and he likes to tease u a lot. he’s the type of person who when u are sad or feeling somewhat down, sends u links of tiktoks or random vids he found on yt to try to make u smile. it’s his way of telling u that ur loved and that he’s there for u

bokuto kōtarō - surprising u with something u’ve talked about

it may seem like bokuto isn’t really perceptive outside the court, but truth be told, if it’s regarding u he’s very perceptive. he really listens when u talk to him, especially when u talk about the things u like. he’s the type of person who will surprise u with something u’ve talked about. it’s either something u’ve mentioned, something small or taking u to places u’ve always wanted to go to

kuroo tetsurō - writing u a handwritten letter

kuroo tells u he loves u every chance he gets, but he knows that sometimes it’s a bit difficult for u to remember this when ur brain is being a difficult bitch. that’s why he occasionally writes u handwritten letters, putting a lot of effort in his handwriting and pouring all his love in every sentence. he can also get a bit overbored, spraying a bit of his cologne u really like, putting the letter in a fancy envelope and sealing it with wax

oikawa tōru - calling to check on u

due to oikawa’s successful volleybal career, he is most of the time away. however, every day he makes sure to call/facetime u to ask if ur doing okay and to hear about ur day. he loves to listen to ur voice when u talk about what u did that day. he makes sure to always end the call with a ‘ily’, even when u already fell asleep. taking screenshots of ur cute sleeping face and whispering “sweet dreams cutie, ily”

sakusa kiyoomi - silent communication

sakusa loves u a lot, even though he doesn’t say it much. silent communication is key in ur relationship. that’s why u and him have come up with little gestures to basically convey ur feelings for each other, without outright saying it. it feels more special when he taps u three times while holding each others hands. only u know that he’s saying ‘ily’, without anyone hearing it

iwaizumi hajime - rides home

iwaizumi likes to know ur safe, especially when u had a long day at work. he’s the first to pick u up to spare u the long train ride home. he asks u about ur day and if ur really tired he tells u to sleep until u guys are home. he makes sure to bring water or tea/coffee and a little snack for u to enjoy during the drive. during the ride back home he plays the shared playlist u guys have, happy to know that ur safe with him

omg omg omg this is the first request i ever got and i immediately started writing. tysm for ur request ! idk why but this was kinda challenging for me (i think, bc i wrote these scenario’s in story format. something i never really did). it’s also the reason why i did everyone, except daichi… i couldn’t think of a fitting scenario for him and i’m truly sorry for that bubs. i hope u don’t mind and that u still like it. i tried to write the stories longer to make up for it <3

bokuto kōtarō

it was a long day at practice and nothing seemed to go as he wanted. he went into his infamous emo-mode and forgot how to hit other shots, besides a straight line shot. he couldn’t wait to see u again and hug u tightly until this day was over. when he came home, he took off his shoes and went straight to the bedroom. there he found u lying on the bed, on the phone with someone. he was about to greet u, when he picked up the last sentence coming from ur mouth. “-see u soon baby”. he knows he shouldn’t be assuming things, but sometimes he can get a bit insecure, especially cause he’s so busy with volleyball. u wouldn’t cheat on him…right? he walks over to the bed and falls face first on u, burying his face in ur stomach with a big sigh. u were trying to make urself a bit more comfortable, cause bo isn’t the lightest fella. u wanted to ask him about practice, but before u could, u heard him grumble something incoherently. “didn’t quite catch that kou, can u repeat that for me?”. he raised his head and repeated what he just said. “do u still love me y/n?”. u looked at him with ur eyebrows raised, as u didn’t quite expect that question. “yes i do kou, why do u ask?” “sometimes i can get a bit insecure, cause i’m so busy with volleyball. i feel like i don’t spend enough time with u, even though i really want to, cause ur so amazing and i love u a lot and i would be so sad if u find someone else to call them ‘baby’ like u did just now. and like, i don’t want to assume that ur cheating or something, but-“ u raised both of ur hands to stop ur boyfriend from rambling further. “wait slow down, kou. take a breath, cause the speed ur talking right now is like ur tying to spit out bars.” he did as told and took a deep breath, while u waited for him to calm down. once u were sure he calmed down, u continued on. “i mean yea, u spent quite a lot of time on volleyball, but i knew this before i started dating u. i know volleyball is ur passion and i will support u no matter what” he smiled a bit at that, so u continued again “and what’s that about me calling others ‘baby’ and supposedly ‘cheating’ on u? where did u come to that conclusion?” he bit his lip and averted his gaze to his hands, while he fumbled a bit with his fingers as he spoke again. “i heard u call someone ‘baby’ on the phone and i guess that i assumed the worst…” he looked like a child getting scolded, but u couldn’t help ur laugh from coming out. this idiot. “kou, baby, i was on the phone with my little cousin. she’s coming over this weekend, remember? i told u about that.” “i-“ he was literally rendered speechless, but next to feeling embarrassed as hell, he also felt relieved it wasn’t what he thought it was. “i’m so sorry for assuming the worst y/n. can i get u coffee and we forget this ever happened?” he tried to bribe. “would’ve forgiven u regardless if u bought me coffee or not, but since u offered it would be rude of me to refuse” u said cheekily as u flicked him lightly on the forehead.

miya osamu

‘samu thought it was a good idea to get a midnight snack at 3:30 in the morning and being the kind s/o u are u agreed. u both made ur way to the nearest 7/11 as ‘samu got excited, thinking about the different kind of snacks and beverages he has been craving for. u on the other hand was still very much sleep-deprived, eye bags evident on ur face, cause u had to stay up all night finishing ur assignment. u wanted nothing more than to go back to bed, but osamu has been pestering u the whole time u were studying and seeing his happy face made it kinda worth it. emphasis on kinda. when u two arrived at the store, u told him to get the snacks and u will pick out some drinks. ur eyes kept on falling shut as u grabbed the nearest beverages and made ur way to ur boyfriend at the snack isle. u latched onto him like some kind of koala, while mumbling ‘’are u done yet baby?’’. u heard someone cough behind u and when u turned ur head to look, u saw osamu standing there with an amused expression plastered on his face. when the realization hit, u immediately let go of the arm that was supposedly ur ‘boyfriend’. apologies kept coming out of ur mouth as ‘samu dragged u by the arm to the cash register, while laughing his ass off. ‘’this is ur fault u know’’ u told him defensively when u both stood outside the store. ‘’and why is that?’’ he asked, eyebrow raised and a playful smirk still visible on his face. ‘’if u didn’t drag me out here at ass o’clock, then i wouldn’t have made a fool out of myself in front of a stranger’’ u huffed out while pouting. he ruffled ur hair affectionately ‘’sure sure, dumbass. how can i make it up to u then?’’ ‘’piggyback ride?’’ u asked hopeful. he laughed and turned his back to u while squatting. ‘’hop on then, gorgeous.’’.

iwaizumi hajime

u both agreed to meet up at the school gate after his practice and ur school activity. he just finished practicing and started heading his way to u, when suddenly he stopped dead in his track when he saw u talking to a random dude who was standing to close to u for his liking. ‘it’s probably nothing hajime’ is what he told himself to stay calm, as he strode over to u and the stranger. he got within earshot when he clearly heard u say ‘baby’ to the stranger and that is when he sprinted the short distance to u both, scowl very evident on his face. he put his hand on ur waist and pulled u close to his side. ’’i don’t know why i heard my doll call u ‘baby’, but they have a boyfriend so i advice u to back off dude’’ he said while glaring daggers at the stranger. ‘’haji, calm down. this man didn’t do anything wrong. his sweet baby pug came running over to me, probably cause i was eating my leftover bento u made while waiting for u.’’. “wait what??” he said bewildered as he looked at u with wide eyes and then averted his gaze downwards to said baby pug, playing around and jumping against his leg. the stranger who was clearly feeling uncomfortable due to iwaizumi blaming him for supposedly hitting on u, bid u two goodbye and walked off with his pug, leaving iwaizumi feeling like an asshole. ’’u know, ur pretty cute when u get jealous’’ u told him cheekily, while hugging his side. “shut up, dumbass’’.

kageyama tobio

u just started dating kageyama and until now everything went as smoothly as it could go. u two have been on a few dates together and u’ve been to all his practices and matches to show ur support. it was the same day karasuno had their match against seijoh. kageyama was warming up with the others, when he noticed u on the bleachers like usual. he smiled at u, before he changed into game mode. everything went well and karasuno won the game. u were so proud of him, but at the same time u were sad seijoh lost. oikawa and iwaizumi have been ur neighbors since u were little and ur parents knew each other quite well. u thought it was a good idea to tell them that they played a really good match and that u are proud of them regardless if they won or not. and that’s exactly what u did. at the same time, kageyama was looking for u between the masses of people, to celebrate their win. that was until he saw u with oikawa. he didn’t really think much of it, only that he thought it was weird that u went to him first, instead of him. he, as calm as he could be, walked up to u two and that was when he got to hear ur conversation with oikawa. ‘’u did ur best baby, that’s what matters the most. ur still an amazing captain and i’m sure nobody from the team blames u for anything.’’. kageyama kinda felt bad for oikawa, purely because he’s a third year and he never made it to nationals. also, he knows how hard oikawa can be to himself, so he’s sure that he’s heavily blaming himself for their loss. however, what didn’t sit right with him is that u called him ‘baby’. he decided to leave u two be as he went back to his team to celebrate, frown very much present on his face. ‘’why the frown kageyama?’’ hinata asked as he approached the team. ‘’nothing hinata boke, just shut up for once.’’ ‘’RUDE!’’. he went over to the bench to take a sip of water, when he felt two familiar arms snake from behind him in a hug. ‘’CONGRATULATIONS BUB!!!’’. ‘’thanks.’’ ‘’okay, hold on. what’s wrong kags? why do u sound so dry?’’ ‘’nothing. go to ur baby y/n.’’. damn, he didn’t mean to sound so jealous and he really wasn’t…or was he? ‘ah so that explains it…’ ‘’kags, can u please look at me? i can explain.’’ he turned around in ur embrace, but he still wouldn’t make eye contact. u put both of ur hands on his cheeks and directed his face to urs. ‘’first of all, it’s very rude to listen on someone else’s conversation…’’ ‘’i know, sorry.’’ ‘’-secondly, i know tōru and hajime since i was a child and when i was 10 years-old i started calling them ‘baby’ every time something happened that makes them sad. it’s basically the same thing i do with my younger sibling to make them feel better and it always worked with them as well.’’ he was silent for a moment. then he pulled u close to his chest with his chin on ur head to hide his embarrassment of assuming the worst. u let out a giggle at ur boyfriends behavior. ‘’next time, ask me about it before u assume things bub.’’ ‘’i will.’’.

aaaaaaa i’m literally screaming holy shit. like i didn’t think y’all would like my writing and the amount of love i’ve received these past days is so overwhelming omg. the fact that u think it’s so well written truly warms my non-existent heart, thank u ;.; ! yes ofc, i would love to write how they would confess to u !! and since i already wrote about how they would act when they have a crush on u, i will use some of those same characters again ! i’m kinda to lazy to write them all, besides it will be to long of a series and i also wanna write other scenarios. maybe i’ll write the others some time later lmao. anyways, hope u like it bubs and thank u for ur request ! <3

suna rintarō

it happened during facetime. he asked u to help him with his math homework, but in actuality he just wanted to see ur face. u have been feeling so exhausted that night, due to ur own homework and truthfully u just wanted to sleep. he was in the middle of his story about ‘tsumu and ‘samu fighting over which onigiri flavor was the best, when he noticed that u were particularly quiet. one look at the camera told him that u fell asleep.

“squirt” he said rather affectionately. his heart began beating faster, cause it ain’t fair that ur even cute when ur asleep. he immediately took some screenshots of u. he couldn’t help staring for a bit. u looked so serene and at peace, instead of being stressed and sleep-deprived 24/7. “u know, i would never have the guts to say this to ur face, but i really like u y/n” he whispered and that is when u raised ur head, a cheeky grin on ur face told him u heard everything. “wtf squirt, i thought u were asleep” he said incredulously. “i was, but then my neck started to hurt from the position so i woke up and heard u confess ur feelings for me. didn’t know u felt that way rin” u said teasingly. “well, the cat is out the bag now. no point in hiding it anymore” he told u, while scratching behind his neck, a nervous habit of his. “well then ur lucky, cause i like u too”

he looked at u with wide eyes, not really believing that u like him too. “wait, u do?” he asked in disbelief. u giggled at his reaction. “yes, why are u so shocked about that?”. “just- nothing, don’t mind that. u have plans this weekend?”. u knew what’s coming next, but u decided to play a bit clueless. “no, i’m free this weekend. why?”. he brought his phone a bit closer to his face as he uttered the next words. “well then bubs, if ur free this weekend. would u like to go have a bite with me? like on a date?” he tried to be as confident as he could, but u can see through his facade and u knew mans is a nervous wreck from the inside. “yes, i’d very much like that”.

iwaizumi hajime

“this is stupid” he grumbled out. honestly, he didn’t think he would be the type to write out his confession, but here he was in front of his desk. pen in hand and paper still blank of words. how do people even confess their feelings to each other? “need my help iwa-chan?” oikawa asked from the spot on his bed he was currently occupying. last time he asked oikawa (or the other third years, a.k.a. makki and matsun) for advice, they told him some sappy shit about feeling butterflies in ur stomach and what not. he didn’t know if what he was feeling was said butterflies. like yea, he would feel content when he was with u and the other third years told him he acted ‘soft’ around u, whatever the hell that meant. and maybe did he feel kinda awkward when he was alone with u, cause ur presence intimidates him a bit (in a good way tho). honestly, the thing he learned from his friends is that they were as helpful as a sack of potatoes.

he didn’t lack the courage to tell u how he felt. he feared how u would react to it. people always fancied oikawa more than him and even though u didn’t pay oikawa any attention, besides the amount of what’s acceptable when ur friends, he can’t help thinking if he interpreted the signs wrongly. he was always there for u, no matter what and he knows that u got his back as well.

“fuck this” he threw his pen down and planted his face on his desk, letting out a deep sigh. “i’ve never seen u act so pathetic before iwa-chan. u should just go for it at this point.” he picked up his pen he was holding before and threw it at oikawa. “shut the fuck up shittykawa, i’m not pathetic. and even if i did ask them out, who’s sure they would accept?”. oikawa narrowly escaped being hit and let out a offended gasp. “since when do u care about that stuff? u always go for the things u want and i’m sure they will accept ur feelings! i mean, hello, did u look at urself?” he shoots a glare at oikawa, but ultimately thought he was right (for once). like yea, he didn’t think he was the most handsome man, but he could say he was good looking. also, he never really cared about these kind of stuff and always went head first into any situation.

he decided that he should just go for it and hope for the best. he picked up his phone and started messaging u.

“hey, are u busy right now?”

he didn’t expect u to answer directly, but he was surprisingly mistaken when he saw that u were typing.

“oh hey iwa! no i’m not, what’s up?”

oh shit, oh shit, oh shit. why did u have to respond so quickly?! he didn’t think anything through and he considered back paddling. when oikawa took his phone and typed out a message. he tried to take his phone back, but oikawa hold it out of his reach. “damn u and ur height advantage” he grumbled out. “wtf did u even send?”. oikawa let out a smirk as he showed him what he send u.

“care to spend ur day with me at the local café downtown?”

well it wasn’t that bad, but it didn’t even sound like him. he was ready to complain, when he heard the all familiar ding from his phone. both oikawa and him wasted no time and took a look at ur reply.

“i would love to! what time do u want me to be ready?”

oikawa took his phone again and before he knew it, he had send another reply. he threw his phone back at him and he easily catches it.

“does 2pm sound good to u? i’ll pick u up.”

“yes that sounds perfect, it’s a date! :>”

oikawa raised both of his hands, clearly pleased with his actions. iwa on the other hand, couldn’t help letting out a laugh at how stupid he felt for overthinking everything. he didn’t forget that oikawa took his phone twice without permission and he decided it would be a good excuse to punch the guy’s arm. “OW! iwa-chan that hurts” oikawa said while he soothed his arm, pout evident on his face. “serves u right, shittykawa”. it was silent for a moment before he mumbled out a “thank u” and he didn’t miss oikawa’s smile, glad to have helped his best friend.

miya osamu

“that’s it!” atsumu slammed his hands on the table, while suna was scrolling through tiktok. “what is it dumbass?” “okay first of all, screw ya suna! a ain’t dumb” suna rolled his eyes at that, but put his phone down to indicate that he was listening. “secondly, we need to help ‘samu’s sorry ass to confess his feelings for y/n, cause clearly he can’t do it by himself” he declared. “u know that ain’t our business right?”. atsumu sighs dramatically “a know that, but still. u know how he is, he wouldn’t make the first move if we don’t help him a bit” suna smirked at this “okay einstein, what do u have in mind?”

the next day suna approached him during lunch. “yo osamu, u like y/n right?”. osamu tried to shush him, cause wtf suna??? “dude wtf, way to be blunt about it” “that’s not an answer to my question tho” osamu dragged him to the corner of the cafeteria “yes a like them, why ya askin’?” suna made sure to look osamu directly in the eyes. “well, i heard from atsumu that he will ask them out today. so if u don’t hurry, u might lose them.” wait, did he just hear that correctly? ‘tsumu likes y/n? since when? “where is that traitor?” he asked, voice dangerously low. “at the gym. he asked y/n to come meet him there”. he didn’t need to hear it twice, as he outright bolted through the cafeteria doors to the gym. “well i did my part, atsumu better pay me back with chuupets” suna mumbled as he went back to the table with the other teammates.

meanwhile, osamu made it to the gym and low and behold he saw u with atsumu. he didn’t intend to confess to u this early, but he be damned to lose u to his brother. yea, fuck that. he didn’t stop running when he was almost within reach of u two and that’s when he kicked atsumu away. “ya traitor, ya knew a like them and yet here ya are confessing to them?!” he screamed while holding ‘tsumu upright by his collar. “ya wouldn’t do it if a didn’t step in, ya dipshit!” atsumu screamed back. wait what? osamu let go of atsumu as he let the words sink in. “so ya don’t actually like y/n?” he asked, still skeptical. “not romantically, like yea they are cool, but i only like them as a friend. besides, i know that ya got the hots for them and am not that big of an asshole”.

all the while this happened, u stood there completely at a loss for words. osamu approached u and took ur hands in his. “am sorry u had to see that and that a was to big of a coward to confess ma feelings for ya. i rlly like ya y/n. would ya wanna go out with ma?” it took u a moment to get out of the initial shock of what just happened, cause wtf? also, did osamu really just confess to u? “not gonna lie, this was truly confusing as hell and i don’t have a clue of what happened just now. however, what i do know is that i like u too ‘samu and i’d love to go out with u”. u both smiled at each other as he intertwined his hands with urs. “FUCKING FINALLY, U OWE MA PUDDING ‘SAMU” “SHUT YA TRAP, ‘TSUMU”

It’s been a hot minute since you’ve last been to a party. Life has been kicking your butt and the days that you were free, you either wanted to get away from everyone and recharge your social battery or spend time with your dog. Some might say you're missing out on life’s great opportunities. One of them being none-other than your boyfriend, Miya Osamu.

The persistent younger twin would try almost anything to get you out of the house and ‘have some fun’, but you beg to differ though. Clearly, you both have different perspectives of the word ‘fun’.

It’s not that you hate to go to parties. Well, only the ones where you don’t know the people attending. It makes you feel anxious and extremely uncomfortable and that’s why you rather spend your time at home doing your own thing.

However, Osamu doesn’t know this fact about you. You refuse to tell him about your anxiety, due to your own pride. Osamu can be very perceptive at times and you have no doubt that he might have speculated something, especially every time you text or call him to cancel.

Osamu thought it was more or less a phase you're going through or because of your reserved nature. He meant to ask you why you keep declining every party invitation, but when he does you would skillfully divert the subject. Sometimes it would irk Osamu how persistent you are at avoiding the topic, but he also respects your boundaries, which is why he never blatantly drags you to a party himself.

The clock reads 08:30 PM and you are pacing around in the living room, waiting for Osamu to pick you up. Doubtful thoughts are clouding your mind and you can feel your anxiety increasing by each second.

Earlier that morning, Osamu invited you yet again to join him at Atsumu’s goodbye party, since he would be leaving Japan to participate at the international competitions. As an act of deviance, when Osamu would tease you for being really shy, you surprised him when you agreed to come.

Osamu was exhilarated that you agreed and with a quick peck on your lips and a bright smile to match, he left to go to work. You, however, could feel the burning anxiety rise within you.

Why the fuck did I agree?!

Is it too late to cancel?

Will Osamu get mad at me if I do?

You can’t help but notice how much your hands are shaking and how uneven your breathing sound to your own ears. You feel lightheaded. Black spots take over your vision and you quickly try to make your way to the kitchen sink. Cold water hits your face and you take a moment to regulate your breathing,

Suddenly, you hear the doorbell ring. Already aware who it is. As you make your way over to the front door, you risk a quick glance at your appearance. The face of someone who had been crying just a few minutes ago mockingly greets you back.

“Fucking hell, the one time I want him to be late he decides to be on time,” you curse under your breath as you reach out for the doorknob and open the door, coming face to face with your boyfriend who’s neutral expression immediately change to concern.

“What’s wrong, babe? Why have you been crying?” he asks as he enters the house. “I didn’t cry,” you instinctively deny. You also can’t help but avoid his intimidating gaze.

“Y/N, there is no point in lying. You know that,” — always as blunt as ever — “There is nothing, it’s just allergies,” you try to lie as you risk a glance at Osamu’s face that tells you he doesn’t buy it.

“Y/N,”

You scoff. “Fine, I'm feeling anxious and scared about the party. Are you happy now?” Osamu feels the opposite of happy.

“But weren’t you the one who agreed to come?” he asks, a bit confused.

“Yes, I know that!” you blurt out frustrated. “I want to show you all that I'm not a lame ass party pooper and that I do want to have fun with you guys!” You spat out, tears welling up in your eyes again. “But large crowds of people make me feel icky and claustrophobic. I get anxious, to the point that I can’t breathe and I want to run away as fast as I can to my room or somewhere else that feels more safe.''

Osamu’s suspicions were right all along and it makes more sense why you would cancel or reject him every time he invited you to a party.

Osamu rests his palm against your cheek, gently coaxing you to look at him. His hand feels warm against your skin and a little calloused from years of playing volleyball. He starts to tenderly wipe at your tears with his thumb, almost like you could break under his touch. You subconsciously nuzzle your cheek against his palm, which in turn makes him blush a little.

“Y/N, why didn’t you tell me? If I knew how much distress parties gave you, then I wouldn't be so annoyingly persistent about it. If you don’t want to go then you shouldn't push yourself. It’s not like ‘Tsumu would be butthurt if you cancel again,’’ he takes a moment to reconsider his words. ‘’Okay, he actually would. However, who the fuck cares? ‘Tsumu is a big boy, he can handle himself. What’s more important is that you feel comfortable.’’

He then surprised you with a flick to your forehead, chuckling as you hit him against his bicep in return, while rubbing soothing circles on said spot. ‘’And what do you mean by ‘party pooper’? None of us think of you that way and we won’t stop hanging out with you because of it, dummy. We all like you for who you are. I like you for who you are. Well, more than like actually.’’ he teases and you can’t help the blush from forming on your own cheeks.

You look up at him, biting your bottom lip in uncertainty. “You really mean that?” Osamu nods as he places a soft peck on your forehead. “Yes baby, I mean it.”

You engulf him in a hug, burying your face in his chest. His familiar scent makes you feel safe, he makes you feel safe.

“Thank you, ‘Samu,”

You feel two arms encircling your frame into a tight embrace. One hand rubbing soothing circles on your back, while the other gently pats your head. After a moment, Osamu clears his throat.

“We should go, if you're still up for it?” he reached out his hand expectantly. You smile and nod, while intertwining your hand with his.

“Let’s go fuck this party up!”

he’s overjoyed when ur excitedly talking about anything that caught ur interest, while jumping up and down and grabbing his arm in the process. “BABE! OMG GUESS WHAT HAPPENED TODAY?!”. it means to him that u trust him enough to share ur stories, thoughts, ideas, etc. he especially loves the way u smile so brightly and when ur eyes seem to sparkle

kageyama tobio - smiling when he looks at u

he won’t ever admit it, but he likes it a lot when u smile at him when he’s randomly looking at u. for him, it’s a sign that u pay attention to him. he get’s all shy tho and immediately averts his eyes, but u can clearly see the blush creep up from his neck to his cheeks. when u confront him about it, he will actively deny it while screaming “SHUT UP Y/N BOKE!!”

hinata shōyō - taking care of him in subtle ways

he’s literally beaming when u take care of him. like don’t get him wrong, he’s an independent man, but when u do subtle things like taking his hand in urs and putting them in the pocket of ur jacket to warm them up or when u remove food residue from his face, he can’t help but to shower u with words of appreciation

asahi azumane - comforting him when he’s anxious or scared without making fun of him

he adores it when u comfort him when he’s feeling a bit anxious or scared by doing something stupid and he also loves it when u don’t make fun of him during those times. sure, u can tease him, but he’s grateful that u know when it’s enough. one instance is when u discovered that he’s afraid of rollercoasters and made him scream “POTATO JUICE”, claiming that it would help him feel less scared which resulted in the both of u screaming “potato juice” like two crackheads

sugawara kōshi - showing him gratitude

he feels over the moon when u genuinely express ur gratitude. he knows that most people take what others do for granted, but since meeting u he noticed how grateful u are for even the smallest thing he does for u and it honestly makes him feel appreciated. sugawara is someone who wants to help u with everything he can and for u to show him genuine appreciation, makes his heart go doki doki

daichi sawamura - giving him advice

he’s elated when u help out practically with advice. being the captain comes with their own responsibilities and problems and sometimes he just wants to express this and ask u for ur advice. u being u, will research (online as well as by asking around and using ur own knowledge) for different solutions or anything else that might be helpful to him

the moment u surprised him, wearing an selfmade improvised version of the msby merch with his number and surname on the back, when he first joined the msby black jackals team and became his personal hype men/women/person/etc. during his matches as a newbie in the team, was the moment he told u “i love u” for the first time. when he told u about his goals and resolutions, u were one of the few people who told him that u believe in him and want to support him through the good and bad times. he was a sobbing mess that day and all the more determined that u are the one for him. he sure as hell will support u too in ur dreams to his best capability and beyond, so make sure to tell him ur goals and resolutions as well

kita shinsuke - complimenting him

when u first told him that he’s a pretty boy, he didn’t believe u and he straight up denied it, but he still thanked u out of politeness and told u that ur the prettiest person he’s ever met. a compliment from kita is always heartfelt and there was no question about it that he would lie, but this wasn’t the time to be complimented by him. u wanted to make sure that he knows ur being serious and u mean every compliment u tell him, cause yes kita ur fucking beautiful! so one day, u decided to compliment the little things u love about kita: “i love how genuinely caring u are”, “i love how ur eyes seem to sparkle when u laugh”, “i love how u protect me from my own thoughts”, “i love how safe u make me feel”. from that day onwards, he never doubted ur compliments again

kuroo tetsurō - suprising him with something he’s passionate about

when u saw an advertisement on ur ig fyp for a popular science convention in tokyo, u didn’t even hesitate and bought two tickets for the both of u. u also made sure to call kuroo’s boss, as well as ur own boss, to ask for permission to take the day off. when they both said yes, u were so excited to surprise him. the next day, when he was ready to go outside to work, u stopped him and told him about ur surprise. he was staring at u dumbfounded for a solid minute or two, but after the realization dawned on him, he gave u one of his biggest and genuine smile (not his usual smirk) as he pulled u close to his chest for a hug. he couldn’t stop telling u how lucky he is to have u in his life and how excited he is to tell u all different kinds of science facts he knows. he’s overall just happy that u embraced and accepts his dorkiness and that u want to do the things he’s passionate about

miya osamu - recreating his favorite home cooked meals

anyone who ever met osamu, knows how much he loves food. ‘tsumu even told u that during their volleybal days at inarizaki high, he compared certain volleybal aspects and strategies with the feelings u get when u eat. ‘samu denies he ever said that tho. anyways, u decided to call up granny miya to ask her how to make his favorite home cooked meals. when osamu came home from a particular long day, he was overjoyed to see all of his favorite dishes he grew up with on the table and asked u how u knew. when u told him that u called his grandmother to ask for the recipes and recalled how granny miya instructed u from begin to end through facetime, he looked at u with so much love and appreciation. then he took ur hand in his and gave u one of his most sincere smiles that is only reserved for u

akaashi keiji - taking random courses together

he once told u that he really wants to learn a different language to better communicate with others and maybe help someone out if he needs to. u being u, immediately looked up online classes and signed the both of u up. u both take the lessons together at his house, practicing on each other as well as finding pen pals to write to in the language ur studying. he loves how spontaneous u are and that u want to do random things, like suddenly taking a language course, like him. he also really enjoys talking to u in the different language u two are learning, cause it feels to him like ur talking in secret, knowing that u two are the only ones who understand each other (unless someone who also speak that language hears u two lmao)

these are some simple gestures i see some of the haikyuu boys do to let u know that they love u

kozume kenma - befriending and hanging out with ur friends

kenma feels most of the time very uncomfortable around new people he doesn’t know, opting to stand in the background and minding his own business. with u tho, he makes an active effort to befriend ur friends. he knows how important ur friends are to u, much like his friends are to him and even though talking and hanging out with ur friends makes him feel anxious, he will gladly do it for u

miya osamu - carrying ur favorite snacks

osamu knows exactly when u are feeling down or when ur brain is being a lil bitch. he wants to take away ur sadness, but he knows that he can only do so much. that’s why he always and i mean ALWAYS keeps ur favorite snacks in his bag incase of emergencies like these or when ur just feeling hungry. u don’t even have to mention or ask him and he already offers u ur snack. it’s his way of saying that ur not alone and if u wanna talk about the thing that’s bothering u, he will gladly listen

kita shinsuke - lessen the load for u

kita knows how hardworking u are and he wants to lessen ur load as much as he can. making u breakfast and a bento for work, making sure the bento has a lil note with some encouraging words. since his grandmother has learned him how to do chores, he doesn’t complain one bit and would happily make sure ur shared house is clean and neat. everything to make ur life less stressful, for he loves u to much to let u worry/stress about simple little matters

nishinoya yū - being vulnerable to u

nishinoya has always felt like he shouldn’t burden anyone with his worries or problems. he’s the one helping the others with his positive and happy mindset. he’s the guardian deity, so what will happen if he shows a sign of negativity and cracks? well u being u told noya that whatever is troubling him, he doesn’t have to carry all the burden alone. that from the moment u guys met and started liking each other, u’ll always listen and won’t judge him and his feelings for they are valid. this made him vulnerable around u. it’s another way of saying he loves and trust u, for only u saw him at his most vulnerable moments

akaashi keiji - actively listening to u

yes, this may seem so simple, but akaashi knows how important it is to properly listen to what ur s/o is saying. that’s why every time u speak he will set aside the thing he was doing to actively listen to u. he wants u to feel heard, especially when in ur past nobody really listened to what u were saying. an extra bonus is that he loves ur voice, so properly listening to u isn’t difficult for him as he quite enjoys it

miya atsumu - calling u by different pet names

atsumu loves calling u pet names. he feels like it’s something special and he wants u to feel special. yes, he calls u the usual pet names like : babe, baby, angel, sweetheart, doll, etc. but he also loves to shorten ur first name or come up with something totally ridiculous like : mousebear or schmoopy. at first, u told him to stop that as it felt embarrassing when he one day yelled “DEAREST LIL POO POO!!!”, but after some time u came to love even the weirdest pet names as u knew it was authentically atsumu and u wouldn’t have it any other way

daichi sawamura

supports me during my depressive episodes. went with me to an important funeral of a loved one of mine. brought me flowers and a box with a variety of japanese snacks and drinks. also dragged me out of my room to go to the arcade, just to get my mind off of things

kita shinsuke

makes sure i’m not getting lost. takes my hand when we cross the street, cause i tend to forget to look left and right or i’m just blatantly daydreaming. calls me out on my bullshit and protects me from fuckboys. gave me advice and answered my questions regarding sexual activities.

sakusa kiyoomi

bought me an drawing tablet so i could practice digital drawing. explained every part of clip studio paint for me, even when it took many hours cause i can be dumb as hell. always the first to request a drawing, so i can get motivated again. takes dumb quizzes and binge watches kdramas with me, just so i can shut up

hinata shōyō

tries to make me watch one piece, even though i don’t want to. send me tiktoks throughout the day of him doing dumb shit. goes on spontaneous trips with me. takes me out on late night drives/walks, when my insomnia is kicking in. binge watched aot with me and made me have a debate with him

tsukishima kei

makes different spotify playlists for me so i can broaden my music taste more. gives me detailed descriptions of movies i should watch. spoils shit just to be a dick, never apologizes for it and says it’s my own fault for not watching/reading it yet. takes care of my dog when i’m busy with school

what perfume the haikyuu characters would wear [pt.1] [pt.2]

okay so this is my personal take on what perfume the haikyuu characters would most likely (definitely) wear. no i don’t take criticism and i stand proudly behind this 😌✋ knowing myself, i will get way into this lmaoo

suna rintarō - jimmy choo, man blue

listen. LISTEN. mans would definitely wear this scent, NO FUCKING DOUBT ABOUT IT. like the first time i smelled this, i immediately thought of him (and yes i bought it right after smelling it, same goes for some of the other perfumes i will mention hdbsj). the description of this perfume literally states that this scent is for the relaxed, independent and rebelic man. no i don’t think suna is per definition ‘rebelic’, but i do believe he’s not the easiest to handle yk

it’s a very aromatic and woody scent with some spice mixed into it

bokuto kōtarō - dior, sauvage

this one is actually a personal take for me. my best friend wears this perfume all the time and every time he hugs me, i instantly feel comfortable. bokuto is my comfort character, so it just fits for me yk. also fun fact, but he has almost the complete same personality as bo. this perfume is inspired by the beautiful landscapes of open fields, mountains and the blue sky. the scent also reminds me of someone who is confident in his abilities and someone who is bold and sincere in his actions. these characteristics definitely describes bo for me, cause bo strives to be the best ace. like yes, he has his emo modes, but ultimately he grew out of it after the timeskip and that proves to me how strong he is. also there is a reason he was made captain, like some people in this fandom make him out to be some stupid ass dude who is dependable on akaashi for literally everything, but let me remind u that this man is older than akaashi and he’s respected by all of his teammates for his drivenness and sincere/outspoken attitude. yes, akaashi helps him out with stuff, just like any other best friend would do, but ultimately he isn’t in control of bokuto and he did realize this during vol.38 of the manga, when he was being benched. but yea, that was kinda my rant lmao

it’s a powerful woody scent with evident citrusy elements

i definitely headcanon that kuroo still uses this perfume after the timeskip and that he first got it for his bday from kenma. when i smelled this perfume, it certainly reminds me of kuroo’s drivenness to become a successful man, someone who is able to overcome their hardships and who is to stubborn to give up on the path they engraved for themselves. i also like how sleek the bottle is and in some way it reminds me of him. i think it also reminds me of him because of the mix of intensity and freshness that in my opinion perfectly displays his provocative behavior at times, but also his ability to be kind and help those who needs it.

this scent is a combination of aromatic and woody elements

the description of this perfume literally says that this scent is for the elegant man, and isn’t that just the right word to describe oikawa in court. i know it’s listed as a very heavy scent, but in actuality it really isn’t compared to many other scents for man (i have this one too lmao). i actually got a lot of compliments when wearing this perfume and the melange of these particular notes makes me feel more calm and it also feels comforting in a way. and even though oiks isn’t my comfort character, i do feel like he does to the others both in the anime and irl. like he’s the captain and can bring out the best out of his teammates. u have to make people feel comfortable to be able to do that and that’s why i feel he would wear this scent, to also calm himself down with all the responsibilities he carries. also, ngl the bottle reminds me of seijoh

rich man vibes. RICH MAN VIBES. i mean look at the goddamn flacon and it’s clean exterior design, this fucking screams SAKUSA KIYOOMI to me. honestly i have a hard time to describe this scent, cause to me it just made sense to link this one to sakusa. like we all know that he ain’t all that trusting with people he doesn’t know and he tends to put some distance between him and those he doesn’t know/like. he strikes me as a person who likes to have his small and close group of friends and he doesn’t like to expand it. like it feels more comfortable to him to keep his friend group as small as possible. and how strange this may sound to u, the smell of this particular perfume describes all that to me. basically, the best way i can describe this scent is : a midnight stroll on the beach, while a light breeze grazes ur skin. this particular scent is very natural, fresh and sophisticated. a scent for someone who wants freedom and strive to do his own thing, without being bothered by others

GODDAMN THIS ONE IS LITERALLY MY GO TO PERFUME !!! the amount of compliments i get every time i wear this isbsjsnssj. no but real talk tho, akaashi would DEFINITELY wear this scent. like i’m gonna be honest with u, but i didn’t like the normal one million version. that was until i smelled the lucky version and i immediately had to get it, cause it reminded me so much of him. i kin akaashi the most out of my top-3 highest kins and i just know that he would go for the woody scents, but the kind of woody scents that smells way softer than the typical woody scents. like those woody scents with one particular ingredient or combination which makes it feel more unique. this scent is a woody scent that tend to be more sweet, because there are notes used like hazelnut, honey, jasmin and cashmere wood. the flacon is platina which is more worth than gold and for someone as pretty and caring as akaashi, he is so much worth than gold to me

alright first of all, can we take a moment to appreciate how beautiful and sleek the design of the flacon looks?!?! u done appreciating? ayee let’s continue,,,, the employee told me that this scent is for those who are brave enough to look for new opportunities and challenges and that person is osamu to me. i mean heck, he chose to not follow the same path as his brother and to chase his dream of opening his own onigiri shop. business wise, it can be very scary to open ur own business, but knowing ‘samu’s personality i did not doubt that he would give his all to persue his dreams, which ultimately was a succes. i like how this scent is both woody and oriental, as i don’t see him wear sweet scents like kita or natural ones like sakusa. i headcanon that both timeskip ‘tsumu and ‘samu gave each other a new bottle of the perfume they always wear, to both have something of each other when one of them misses the other

ngl, i’ve never heard of givenchy before lmao. when i was in the cosmetic store, i went to smell the scent because of the sleek flacon design. i also went to ask one of the employee if they could tell me what the scent meant to them and surprisingly they said the same thing as what i was thinking of. this scent reminds me of a man who knows what he wants and won’t walk along with others. a man who has his own rhythm and doesn’t care what anyone thinks of him, as long as he can get to his goals. u can’t tell me this isn’t atsumu. i like how this scent has a mixture of some floral facets as well as giving it warmth with the black vanilla. all in all, this is definitely a scent ‘tsumu would wear and i also like how this flacon has the same sleek exterior as the one mentioned by ‘samu

personally all of these notes that are used to create this scent would’ve been too sweet for my taste, but dolce & gabanna made it work. kita strikes me as a person who can’t rlly handle those strong woody, earthy, oriental or spicy scents and i think he either opts for something sweet, fruity or floral. Or he would use those light body mists with cotton or jasmin scent. gosh, if he would wear this i would instantly wanna hug him (i still wanna hug him either way lmao), cause to me this scent is very addictive. i also headcanon that his grandma chose this perfume for him and he refuses to wear anything else

“When are ya gonna confess to them?”

Miya Atsumu, who was throwing his volleyball up and down while laying on his back, promptly turned his attention to Osamu. By doing so, he forgot that the ball was still mid-air, which resulted in him getting hit in the face.

“Ouch! What the hell, ‘Samu?! Why ya askin’ me that all of a sudden?”

Osamu couldn’t help but let out a snicker, seeing how Atsumu was now holding his nose. He walked up to his brother and made himself comfortable on the floor.

“I see the way ya look for them in the crowd when we’re playing matches, ‘Tsumu,” he said while smirking at his twin. Atsumu stubbornly turned his head away from Osamu, while muttering, ‘am not’ under his breath.

The person in question was their childhood friend and neighbor, Y/n. The twins had known Y/n since the moment their parents decided to let them have a play date. From that day onward the three of you were inseparable, that is until you all hit puberty and started to attend the same high school. The three of you began to speak less and less with each other, too busy with your own agendas. The twins were focused on volleyball and you on your studies.

Sometimes you would make room in your busy schedule to watch their matches, and recently during their last match, Osamu noticed his twin’s weird behavior.

Atsumu’s eyes would search the crowd for a second too long on the days you promised to attend their match, before turning around on his heels and getting ready for his serve. His face would either morph into his usual smirk or he would wear an expression that could kill whoever it’s directed to, depending if he did or didn’t see you in the crowd.

Needless to say, Osamu knew his twin well enough to know he has been crushing on you for a while now. He would ditch the team after practice in order to walk with you and he would spend extra time and care on his appearance, more so than usual. Osamu even caught him saying your name during his sleep while hugging his pillow close to him. That last one freaked him out a bit, he’s not gonna lie.

“Ya should ask them out already and not act like a coward.”

Atsumu jumped to his feet, agitated by Osamu’s persistence. “I am not a coward, ya shitface! Ya better focus on yer own non-existent love life! I have already enough to worry about, so just drop it!” he bellowed out, before storming out of the gym.

Normally, Osamu would retaliate, but the way Atsumu reacted only further proved his suspicions. He took a bite out of his onigiri as he watched Atsumu come back for his gym bag. He then proceeded to stick out his middle finger, before again stomping through the gym doors.

“Stupid ‘Samu. What does he know anyways? He should be mindin’ his own business for once,” Atsumu muttered in frustration while walking to the bus stop.

Atsumu has never been the type who craved for a relationship. He often saw it as an unnecessary hassle to his already busy schedule. Volleyball has always been his priority and he will be damned if he lets his dream take the back seat for someone else.

However, if he was being honest with himself, he couldn’t deny the feelings he had been developing for you recently. He tended to be a bit more competitive during matches when he knew you were in the crowd.

One time, you accidentally cheered for him during his serve, but instead of getting pissed off at you and calling you a ‘noisy pig’, he started to laugh and told you it was okay. That was one of the moments he realized you were someone special to him.

Another instance was when one of your classmates, the son of the principal, started to fancy you and wanted to ask you out on a date. Unbeknownst to you, your classmate was two-faced. He would act kind and innocent to you, but Atsumu heard him talk to his friends behind your back that he wanted to corrupt you. Needless to say, Atsumu didn’t take his behavior well and walked over to him for a ‘friendly conversation’, which had resulted in a beating to the face. He would've been expelled if you didn’t plead with the principal to let him stay. When you asked him what went through his head to beat up the son of the principal, the only answer he gave u was: “the dipshit had it comin’.”

Deep down he knew Osamu was right, that he was a coward when it came to you. He liked the reactions you gave him when he teased you. The way you would playfully hit his arm, but would instantly worry when he faked being hurt.

He liked how your eyes seemed to sparkle whenever you were talking about things you were passionate about. He liked how you changed him for the better, helped him with his homework and told him to be nicer to his fans. However, the most important thing he liked about you was how you genuinely supported and cared for him since the day you met.

He had to stop running away from you, because if he kept on pushing you away in fear of rejection, he would surely lose you. Time won’t wait for him to finally confess his feelings. He had to hurry. He had to let you know his true feelings for you, before it was too late.

He craved to be honest and clear, to speak from his heart. To be able to tell you he found you to be the loveliest person he knew. That he cared for you and that he wanted to share his hopes and dreams with you. He wanted to treat you way better than anyone else would. He wanted to show that he wouldn’t be anything you want, but would be everything you need.

He wanted to tell you the truth: that he loves you.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the spectrum was you, the person who fell in love with Atsumu since you were children. You had a few conversations with Osamu about your feelings for Atsumu and he reassured you that ‘Tsumu felt the same way. Yet, he also told you what kind of a dumbass Atsumu was and that you should give him some time to realize his own infatuation for you.

The thing was, you had been waiting for years now and there was still no indication from Atsumu that he liked you.

You couldn’t help but wonder if Osamu’s prediction was right. Had Atsumu ever thought about you when he was all alone? About the possibility of him and you being a couple and where your relationship could go? If his breath would hitch when you looked at him? If he was holding himself back, like the way you had been? Because at this point you had been waiting for so long now, knowing that your crush on him would not go away anytime soon, even if you walked away from him.

You couldn’t help but feel that there was still some hope left, that there was more than meets the eye. That both of your hearts craved each other, more than you would let on. You couldn’t stop your thoughts about him. At this point, he had you hypnotized, so mesmerized and you just wanted to know how he truly felt about you.

It was a spur of the moment kind of thing, when you reached out for your phone and dialed his phone number out of instinct. It didn’t even take him more than one ring to pick up.

“Sup, Y/n! How ya been?”

Atsumu’s familiar boisterous voice brought life to your normally quiet bedroom. “Hey, ‘Tsumu! I’ve been doing well. Quite busy with school assignments. The usual.” you heard him snicker from the other side.

“Yer should make more use out of yer teenage years, Y/n! Live a little will ya!”

You let out an indignant scoff. “Tsk, says you mister ‘I’m gonna be the best setter and spend less time with my best friend’.” you intended to sound teasing, but even you could hear the sadness that slipped in your tone.

It was quiet for a moment, both of you unsure of what to say next. That was until you heard Atsumu cough before he spoke again. His voice was uncharacteristically soft for once.

“Y/n, I’ve been meaning to tell ya something for a while now. I—euhm… wow okay, I underestimated how hard this would be. Y/n I—I like ya. Not just as a friend, but as somethin’ more than that. I want to take the chance between us, because I believe that we can make this potential relationship bloom into something more. Something that could last us forever, if ya let me.”

You couldn’t believe it. The Miya Atsumu, your best friend since forever, the one who was so adamant of not wanting a relationship, liked you back?

You felt something happening inside you. A rush of feelings, so overwhelming that you let out a gasp. The possibility that Atsumu liked you back, that he felt the same way about you, it was all too overwhelming.

Atsumu on the other hand felt more nervous by the second. He had finally poured out his true feelings to you and you hadn’t answered him back. He heard you let out a gasp and mistook it for rejection, but before he could apologize for making you feel uncomfortable and to forget anything he just said in the last couple of minutes, you seemed to come back to your senses when you let out a series of giggles.

At this point, Atsumu was thoroughly confused. Were you mocking him right now? Why were you giggling? It hadn’t taken you long to relieve him from his worried mind. “Omg ‘Tsumu, I like you too! You are such an oblivious dumbass! Do you know how long I had to wait for you to finally confess?! Even ‘Samu knew I liked you before you did.”

“…Ya kiddin’ me, right? That’s why the bastard was interrogating me?!”

Atsumu already resigned himself to the endless teasing from his twin that was yet to come. But for now that wasn’t important. The fact that his longtime childhood crush reciprocated his feelings was the most important thing to him right now.

“Ya know what, it doesn’t matter. What matters is that ya like me back. So, Y/n. Would ya like to go on a date with me tomorrow?”

Your heart fluttered from his words. You held your phone away from your ear to fist pump the air in celebration. “I would love to ‘Tsumu! what time would you like me to be ready?” you heard some shuffling on the other end of the line.

“How about 2pm? I’ll pick ya up and we can go to the new curry place downtown? Ya okay with that, babe?”

“B-babe? Since when did you call me that?” you asked him, flustered.

“Since I know that ya reciprocate my feelings and agreed to go on a date with me. Don’t you like it, babe?”

You could clearly hear the smugness in his voice, the attitude you had come to love. Your own lips formed a smirk of their own as you replied, “I didn’t say that. 2pm sounds great, it’s a date then!”

“It’s a date. See ya tomorrow, babe.”

You plopped down on your bed and held your phone tightly to your chest, a smile very evident on your face. Needless to say, Atsumu wasn’t varing any better, as he jumped in the air while bellowing a “fuck yea!”

Bystanders around him looked at him weirdly, but he didn’t care. His childhood crush liked him back and no one could take that away from him. He didn’t run away anymore. He told you his feelings, that he liked you and he intended to see it through.
