There's something about Tim that has always slightly unnerved Bruce.

That's not to say he doesn't truly love him, the little Robin who dragged him kicking and screaming from the edge, who reminds him everyday he has to be better.

Yet something in his eyes always makes him hesitate.

Watching him solve cases connect dots that even Bruce at his most able couldn't hope to understand.

Watching him fight it's calculated every move planned but executed with a grace that would make ballerinas jealous.

He couldn't identify it the greatest detective stumped by his own son until one day when he walked down to the cave.

His eldest sparing with Tim it was beautiful moves that he could never replicate they worked as if they were one. Escrima quickly blocked by a bow staff, every single move perfectly executed.

It felt like for once he could see clearly the thing that had made him so uncomfortable brought forth a fear that was so instinctual.

It was Dick.

The same moves, the quiet grace the deadly motions, even the anger.

A perfect copy a clone couldn't even hope to achieve.

He stays so still almost frozen afraid to catch the predators attention.

As Tim ends it heading to the showers his eyes drift meeting Dick's.

A smile that before he would call kind he can't help but see almost a sadistic undertone like a animal playing with it's food.

He breaks first, hair standing on end as he heads back up into the manor.

He should do something, but he can't whatever monsters that are his sons he decides to turn a blind eye.

To let the tigers play he knows he is beaten that if he were to try anything his blood would stain his eldest's chin.

But a darker deeper part of Bruce recognizes the same look he ignores in the mirror.

The look that both Jason and Damian try so hard to replicate.

He has never consciously favored his children but as he erases contingencies and allows full access to a network he had never shared with anyone before he can't help but feel a tide changing.

Sitting the next morning at the table secrets smiles shared between him and his sons. Jealously crossing theirs brothers eyes he wants to cackle, scream but it's time he returns the loyalty that they have bled.

After all what's some secrets between Kings and crowned princes.

Murder Husbands

I have been in a "murder husbands" mood lately

How about crime family Lightwood and current head of the organization Alec, who meets Magnus in a completely normal place (coffee shop, book store, Park,..) and the two of them are smitten right away and start a relationship.

The longer it goes on, the more Alec agnoizes over how to break it to his wonderful boyfriend that he is basically the head of the mafia. Then one day the unthinkable happens and one of Alec's enemies gets their hands on Magnus.

When Alec and his Team find the location where Magnus is being held, they storm in, guns ablazing, and all… only to find Magnus standing in the middle of lots of corpses, a bloody knife in hand, and upon seeing Alec he goes "So, look, I was going to tell you, but how exactly do you bring up 'I'm a semi retired assassin' over dinner?"

In literally any other circumstance, Lance would get it. Hell, he’d probably be just as incredulous as Allura. Kolivan? The Blades? A security breach? Yeah, right.

Unfortunately for Lance, he is very familiar with this particular security breach.

“An unidentified individual has assumed the identity of a Blade, and has been taking missions on their behalf.”

“Who’s identity did they take?” It’s Shiro who asks, this time, because Allura is looking at Kolivan with such disappointed disbelief that she’s probably not going to speak for a good, long while.

“They created their own false identity. Akira Romanoff.”

Yeah, Lance is real familiar with Akira Romanoff, security breach in the Blades of Marmora, mysterious person who’s been completing solo missions for the Blade right under their nose, then disappearing. He’d even say he knows this security breach personally. Incredibly personally, in fact. Lance would even say he knows this security breach better than anyone else in the universe.

Lance is the security breach.

WinterIron Cinderella slash Mob-AU?

based on this

Mob boss Bucky meeting Tony Carbonell for the first time. The later has his mouth stuffed with chocolate filled donut and spews crumbs all over the suave looking guy's clothes when he goes to ask for more coffee at the counter. Neither of them know each other's true identity. But Tony thinks Bucky is snobby and entitled, and isn't afraid to voice it out loud even when other people around him look like they are pissing their pants.

Cue three more explosive meetings. And a fourth where Tony sets a building on fire to get a bunch of robbers arrested. No one knows who this new kid is, but everybody has a blast (literal and non literal) with him and ends up loving him. Bucky is curious.

The two meet, again and again until things between them thaw. They strike an odd sort of friendship, which soon blooms into entirely something else.

Five months of a whirlwind romance, then Tony disappears. No one knows where he came from or where he went to. Only one person does and she wants Bucky to stay away from her little Ducky, keep his filthy mittens off of him.

Bucky has a lot of respect for Peggy Carter, for the empire she carved out of sheer will. But like hell he is going to let the old granny stop him from getting his Tony back.

A year later, the Avengers are meeting Howard Stark to negotiate old territories and a new weapons deal. Bucky is sitting in the office, being offered whiskey and cigar by the old man himself. Steve is busy talking and bickering good naturedly when the door opens.

"Hey, dad! Mom wants to know if she could take Jarvis over to aunt Pegs—"

Bucky looks up, already turning around and Tony's eyes are still so bright and beautiful. The flush on his cheeks, the white t-shirt falling off his shoulders and his unruly mop of hair falling across his forehead. It's like he hasn't changed a bit.

"Anthony, later."

Tony swallows and nods, backpedaling out of the room quickly after stammering an apology. But Bucky is smiling, his chin resting on his fist. He vaguely hears Howard apologizing for his son, hears Steve hiss ", cut it out, Buck. You look like a creep". But all he can think is: Tony Carbonell, his Tony, is actually Tony Stark, son of their new weapons dealer.

Percy Jackson AU where all of the foxes are demigods, Andrew meets Neil shortly after his mom dies, and joins him on the run instead of going back to camp. Part one spans from their first meeting to their first kiss; Part two will take place a few years later, when certain circumstances force them to return to camp, and Andrew has to deal with what he left behind, on top of their current problem. While both fics should be able to be read individually, it does make more sense if you read them in order :)

Part 1: Cross your fingers, here we go (T, 25037 words, complete)

Millport is a horrible, dry as fuck little town in the vast nothingness of the dust hole that is Arizona, and Andrew hates it with vigor. He has been tracking a horde of Manticores for weeks now, and isn’t that something? A half-blood having to chase after the monsters. He is starting to feel like one of Renee’s hunters, when Andrew is pretty sure the nasty scorpion-cats should want to kill him more then he wants to kill them. Or, Andrew expected to find all sorts of things on his first quest. He didn’t expect a twitchy, blue-eyed half-blood with monsters on his heels, and he surely didn’t expect to fall in love with him.

The camp counselor curses. „Move it people, there are half-bloods out there that need to get to safety!“ Or, for two and a half years, Aaron has been grieving the brother he buried, only to learn now, that Andrew is very much alive. He also has a scarred little shithead in tow, that Aaron wants to punch in the face regularily. Life is fun like that.

i will ALWAYS love this fic!! the way they love each other so fiercely but they don't trust the world with them yet!!! like!! but they want to. they want to be out and proud but there is patience that needs to work its way through them and their relationship. the way lavender is woven so so intricately through the entire fic...crying and screaming

more secret relationship bc truly who is going to stop me. also, we as a fandom have failed in implementing a pidge and keith rivalry. this fic is so dorky and funny

The war effort makes demands of everyone. or, that time the paladins are forced to go on a hunt for a diamond and Lance makes everything a little more difficult for Keith.

I WILL ALWAYS BE SO SO OBSESSED WITH ZENSTRIKE. for starters they have written probably one of my favourite klance series of all times. they are the MASTERS of klance being knowing and quietly loving and right on the precipice of falling again and again and again. this fic in particular is so fucking funny and comes with the added bonus of allura losing her whole entire shit at the dumbass mission they're sent on lol
