And how is jack as a kid like during sick days with papa bucky

The Rogers Household

The Rogers kids don’t get sick very often.

They’re half Asgardian, which means they shouldn't get too bothered by most Earth illnesses.

But during the few times they do get sick, their parents will do all they can to help out.

Steve, as a kid, would get sick constantly.

He's memorized the recipe for chicken soup and will make it for the kids to eat

Y/N has her own home remedies too because of Frigga and the Healers

She'll make a special tea that helps sweat out any fever and even cleanse any negative energy that could be making them sick (gotta be prepared for everything)

Other than that, they'll check on the kids every so often to see if they're doing well and need anything else

The Barnes Household

If Jack is sick, it's the same thing more or less

Bucky will make sure his son is resting and drinking plenty of fluids

He's not the best at making soup from scratch, so he'll settle for it in a can

Great at making grilled cheese, though

Jack loves having grilled cheese sandwiches when he's sick

They'll then spend the day bundled up and watching a bunch of movies

Bruce Banner x Original Female Character | Avengers AU [masterlist] | [ ← previous chapter] [next chapter → ]

"That would be that genius Dr. Banner you were talking about."

Oh no. Laussa felt all of her blood rush to her face immediately, she must have looked as red as a tomato as she looked down to the ground in embarrassment for a second, before looking up at Dr. Banner again, not being able to contain her curiosity. This was THE Dr. Banner? How could she not have guessed?

She knew the answer to that; she had expected a much older man, one, that looked like someone who didn’t quite take care of themselves because they considered their scientific research more important than anything else, one that was a workaholic to the bone, spending more time in the lab than anywhere else. But now that she knew, now that she was looking, she saw it all in his eyes. The exhaustion, the anguish and the pain.

Laussa quickly shook it off to get back to herself and took his hand again, almost instinctively.

"You are Dr. Banner? I had no idea, I’m a huge fan of your work, I’ve been following your research for years, especially your writings in the field of biochemistry, I am so honoured to meet you, doctor!" She spurted out, shaking his hand vigorously, suddenly feeling all the attention on her like she had said something wrong, but noticed the people around them smiling at her. "That is very nice of you to say, thank you,” he murmured shyly, and she let go of his hand again. His gaze was directed at the floor, his fluffy curls brushing over his eyebrows and she could clearly see him blushing before Thor spoke up, almost laughing this time. "I’m not surprised you don’t recognise her, Banner, but you have met before, a couple of years back." Laussa cringed at his words, the topic being something she had hoped he would not bring up, not being something she wanted to talk about at all, let alone in front of all of these strangers. "Wha-What do you mean?" Banner’s expression changed back to utter confusion, his eyes roaming over her once more, visibly convinced he’d never seen her before in his life, only changing for the worse when Thor continued talking.

"Well, my sister here - "

A resounding sound of confusion went around the group, Tony being the first one to say coherent words. "Wait a minute, she’s your sister?!" The confusion on his face proved to her, that they had had absolutely no idea, Clint’s words only confirming her suspicion. "What, you never mentioned she was your sister, man! I thought she was your girlfriend or something." Thor now stumbled over his words, his face also bewildered. "What, of course, I did, I must have… Well, maybe I didn’t specifically say it but it was most definitely implied." Laussa took a step closer to her brother, laying a hand on his shoulder, effectively silencing him, so she could speak. "I understand my brother here has most inappropriately forgotten to mention who I am: My name is Laussa Odinsdottir, I am the daughter of Odin and Frigga, as is he, although I don’t necessarily want to associate myself with Odin, so I’d appreciate it if you would just call me Laussa.’

"So, why am I here?’ Laussa asked when they had sat down on the velvet sofas, now also joined by Steve Rogers and Natasha Romanoff, who had also seemed very eager to meet her, also reacting equally confused to finding out she was Thor’s sister and disgusted at the thought of being romantically involved with him. Dr. Banner, who was nervously walking back and forth behind the sofa that Tony, Thor and Wanda were sitting on, was throwing occasional glances at her that she couldn’t quite interpret, but she had the feeling he didn’t really like her, and that she made him uncomfortable. She let her eyes drift back to her brother as he stood up. "Well, let me explain. When Asgard was destroyed by Surtur, he also destroyed the Bifrost, and any chance to access the other realms safely. As you know, father was the king of Asgard before he died, but he also controlled the peace between the nine realms, keeping them controlled and non-violent. Now, however, Heimdall has recently observed that there are great uproars happening in at least two of the realms, Muspelheim and Jotunheim." Laussa looked away at the mentioning of those two, images flashing up in her head of the icy cold storms in the realms of the frost giants, contrasted by the fiery destruction in Muspelheim. "They both demand new leaders, respectively, after the deaths of Surtur, Laufey and… his son." Thor paused, looking at her with worry, waiting for a reaction, and continued when she nodded at him encouragingly. "They are seeking new leaders, and once they’ve found them, there will be nothing holding them back from fighting each other, and then the other realms. You know we have to keep them at bay, and you know… You know that you’re the rightful heir to the throne of Muspelheim." Laussa now had her eyes completely glued to the ground, once again trying to control her breathing, trying to understand what her brother was insinuating.

"What, why is that? I thought you were Odin’s daughter?" asked Clint in a confused manner, leaning forward and propping up his elbows on his knees. Laussa took another deep breath, closed her eyes for a second, and began explaining.

"Well, I was born to Odin and Frigga, but I was conceived during a journey our parents took through the space between realms, to which father had previously banished Surtur, the king of Muspelheim, effectively making him my third parent. I got all of my powers from him. Being his only child, I was the heir to the throne of Muspelheim, but father could never allow it. He wanted me on the Asgardian throne, especially after both of my sisters died and Loki…" She swallowed, feeling the sting of tears in her eyes at the first time saying his name out loud in a while. "After both of our sisters and mother were dead, Thor didn’t want the throne and Loki was… gone, father insisted on me being the new queen of Asgard." "I detested my father after everything he had done to both my sisters and brothers and I hated being in his presence more every day, so I left again. I didn’t take the throne of Asgard nor did I take the throne of Muspelheim, I left. I came down to earth again, hid myself away, fled into science and research. I’ve stayed here ever since, down in Australia, helping people, animals, studying, researching. I didn’t want anything to do with Asgard, even after father…" Laussa looked around, her eyes almost automatically seeking out the doctor, who was also fixated on her, now standing completely still. She couldn’t get herself to look him in the eye, her legs almost moving instinctively as she rose from the satin sofa, stepping away from them towards the comforting warmth of the roaring fireplace. Her eyes drifted downwards, fascinated by the intricate moving shadows the fire cast on the white carpet around her, as she finally got back her courage to speak.

"I couldn’t go back, even after, maybe even especially after father died, I just couldn’t... And then Ragnarok happened and Asgard was destroyed, but after Loki died for me - us - in the battle, it never even occurred to me once to come back and I would never have done so, had you not needed my help, brother." Laussa turned around, away from the flames, back at the group of people watching her intently, focussing on Thor.

"So, how can I help?"

Any time Revna would be up she chases pest and the kids giggle at the cat rushing and natalie was amazed the kitty is good at hunting . The other times thw cat is with the kids funny enough kitty keeps an eye on them while doing hc . Steve finds it cute "finish your homework. The cat will keep an eye on you" then he found a dead mice near a trash bin cause kitty couldnt open the bin :/ oops . Revena is so sweet in the rogers house

Revna always loves a good lap to sit on.

She sees one of them sitting or on the bed, she'll just plop herself on their lap and get comfy.

For the most part, she's just a normal housecat.

Hunting mice, bugs, and other kinds of pest

Loves to be spoiled with food

But other times, it feels like she understands what people are saying to her.

For example, if one of the kids has homework they need to do, Steve will jokingly tell her "Keep an eye on them. Make sure they get it done."

After that, you can find her watching over them as they work and following them around if they get up to make sure they're not doing anything to procrastinate

She also seems to know when someone needs some comfort

When Natalie was feeling sad about a boy and crying about it in her room, Revna came in, jumped on the bed, and curled up with her

Mom was anxious about the girls going out on missions? Revna rubbed herself on her legs as her way to let her know everything was going to be okay

Can be feisty if she doesn't like someone

Won't do anything bad, but she will hiss at the person and throw out a threatening paw before going off somewhere else

If they actually are a threat, however, hoo boy!

Watch out!

Kitty girl will be on you like hair on soap

Revna is a great supportive friend for each family member.

Has aj and jack had a sleep over at eachothers house before same with natalie and daisy?

Oh lots of times!

Their dads are best friends and would love if their kids were close. Bucky also thinks it's a great idea because Jack doesn't have any brothers or sisters. Sleepovers include your standard things like movies, eating lots of junk food, scary stories, tricking the parents into thinking they're asleep, etc.

Smile Through Your Fear and Sorrow

Pairings: Ex!Steve Rogers x Odinsdottir!Reader, Steve x Peggy (implied, but can also be open to interpretation)

Genres: Angst, songfic? (more of a story inspired by listening to a song multiple times), Family fic

A/N: Another AU for my popular AU. Basically a "What If...?" scenario where Steve and Odinsdottir break up because he stayed in 1945. However, he returns sooner than what we saw in Endgame. And not alone...

Inspired by ABBA's "Angel Eyes," as well as Charlie Chaplin's "Smile."

Enjoy the angst!

"No!"

"Yes!"

It was the talk of New Asgard now. Last night had been such drama.

"Last night, I took a stroll along the waters, and I saw him with this new woman! They looked very happy together."

Thor narrowed his eyes at the two women discussing this so openly at the bakery like this was entertaining gossip.

"You should've seen the way he looked at her. Absolutely spine-chilling!"

"Was it anything like how he'd look at the princess?"

"Oh no! This was even more intense!"

He had half a mind to lift up his hood and let his intimidating presence put a stop to their conversation. He had more important matters to attend to though. He turned back to the pastries displayed in front of him and pointed at the sweet bread he knew she loved. He hoped it would lift up her spirits for at least a moment.

Yes, it was true. Steve was not only back but has returned with another woman. They ran into him in New York after everything. It was not only a surprise to learn that he was back, but was with somebody else. Apparently, this was someone from his past that he brought back with him after returning the Infinity Stones. Someone he just couldn't be without.

Thor wanted so much to confront them, to at least talk to this woman about how she better be careful. This was all just a game to Steve. Everything might be lovely now, but it won't be long until there's trouble in paradise after realizing who he truly is. She'll be deceived by his charms and be forced to pay the price when the time comes.

Thor thought Y/N would think so so. He thought she might be hurt by Steve's sudden return, but she maintained that everything was fine. In fact, she kept going on with how happy she was for them.

Then the siblings decided to host a lovely gathering to help celebrate Mid-Summer. They invited their Midgardian companions who were very excited to help enjoy this celebration of light, fertility, and music. Even though Steve came and brought along his new female friend, Y/N kept insisting it was all right. Everything did seem to be okay at first, with everyone distracted by all the fun. Bonfires, traditional music, and the burning of corn dollies to celebrate the brightest time of the year were wonderful ways to forget about all worries.

Then last night happened.

On the third and final night of Mid-Summer, the new couple took the opportunity to announce their engagement. That was when Thor witnessed it. It was only for a brief moment, but he managed to spot the tears springing into her eyes and her lips trembling.

A dull, hollow feeling filled his chest as he saw her. Then, a flicker of light appeared. He saw her with a smile and a fresh face, which was nothing like the broken look he just saw. The split second of changing energy was too quick for everyone else to notice as they were in the midst of congratulating the newly engaged couple. He was the only one worried about what she would think, and he finally saw that everything wasn't okay.

Try as she might, Thor finally saw how not-okay Y/N actually was.

They were definitely taking advantage of the situation. The minute they landed on New Asgard, Val offered someone to watch the girls for them so they could settle down in their home. They could not thank her enough, especially because it's been months since they were intimate. With work and the babies, their energy was placed somewhere else.

Y/N giggled as Steve pushed her down on the bed. He laughed along with her as he crawled over her to kiss her some more.

"I've missed you," she breathed out as she began to disrobe him.

"I've missed you too," he uttered back, helping her out by stripping himself of his shirt while she undid his pants.

They see each other practically every day, but they haven't felt close in a while, more on autopilot than anything else. No one was going to stop them from having control. They finished removing their clothes and were back on the bed in their desired positions. Their kisses grew deeper and more passionate, and his grip on her tightened as she gasped underneath him.

"Hey guys, I heard you were here and -- OH HEL!"

They pulled away upon hearing Thor's booming voice. Steve was quick to shield Y/N's naked body and thankfully Thor was trying his hardest to look anywhere else before shutting the door and taking off.

"If it's not the kids, it's my idiot brothers,"

A/N: Part 2 to this AU for my popular AU. Basically a “What If…?” scenario where Steve and Odinsdottir break up because he stayed in 1945. However, he returns sooner than what we saw in Endgame. And not alone…

Also decided to do a variation of Loki where he might've come back but is still part of the TVA.

Y/N gave small bites of the bread Thor was sweet enough to bring her. He needn't bother since she wasn't all that hungry. She wasn't really feeling all that well actually. It's why she couldn't see her friends off that morning. She'll miss them dearly and told Thor and Val to offer everyone her best wishes, especially the newly betrothed couple.

She wanted everyone to be happy for Steve. He and Thor always got along so well, and that shouldn't change just because he was with someone else.

Y/N, meanwhile, had been on her own for the last year and a half. It was already a time of many challenges related to processing everything that happened with Thanos, but then Thor left with the Guardians. She and Valkyrie took over the ruling of New Asgard which involved a lot of paperwork, many officials to speak to, and hosting numerous ceremonies. There was no time to dwell on emotions.

She had no right to be angry with Steve, anyway, since it was a mutual decision for him to leave to not only return the stones but also himself to his proper time. Even though they were in love, he had the opportunity to be with his first love.

She didn't want to be selfish, even though she very much wanted him to stay. After everything, she wanted the simplicity they promised to have with each other. The normalcy they could never properly have except through stolen moments with one another.

But no, she let him go. He deserved happiness after all he sacrificed. If that happiness couldn't be shared with her, then so be it.

However, he showed back up without alerting anyone of his return. Not only that, but he brought her. He brought back his one true love he regretted leaving in 1945 to a world she could be better appreciated in. He was always doing what he could to make those he cared for feel loved.

On a similar note, Y/N wanted to do her best to be happy for Steve. Though if Y/N was being more honest, she knew it was for the best after observing the journeys each of her friends and family had endured regarding love. Wanda, Pepper, Valkyrie, and Strange -- Y/N knew each of their love stories ended in heartbreak somehow. She didn't wish to be part of all that.

Her brothers themselves found love during the unique situations they were in.

First, there was Thor and the Midgardian scientist Jane Foster. They were both different, but somehow they made it work. They taught each other their contrasting ways of life and demonstrated a shared level of respect and understanding for one another. Time went on, and their bond grew as they connected in an uplifting and meaningful way.

It was a pleasure to see her big brother happy. She was there to hear him set his sights on a bright future with Jane that included a welcoming home and many mini versions of him and Jane residing in said home. Yet she noticed that the more he considered a future with Jane, his concerns about losing it all increased. That's when he began to build these walls around himself and kept busy with various tasks that took him to other realms. It was when both he and Jane grew too busy for each other that they chose to discuss the space that formed between them. It became too challenging for them to communicate their thoughts and better to end it all.

Just when it felt like they were ready to give their relationship another chance, Jane decided to give up whatever was left of her health to help save everyone from Gorr. It was a difficult but necessary move that led to Thor making a fresh new start with his adopted daughter, Love. Y/N loved her darling new niece, seeing more of Thor in her every time she visited the pair.

Then there was Loki. It was just like him to fall for a variation of himself. He and Sylvie, this woman variant he talked about, were deeply passionate about what they did and shared many other common traits and ideals, which helped them develop a strong bond. They were able to get along well because of their shared values.

It was a rocky start, but they quickly grew close. Then Sylvie double-crossed him in a way that made him feel betrayed and heartbroken, seeing as he believed he got through to her similarly to how she got through to him. Although it had been a devastating experience, he did not feel the need to hold her responsible. If anything, he understood why she did what she did.

All he does now is travel through space and time with his companion, Mobius, in the hopes that he will find her again and spend the rest of his days with her in whatever way she desires.

That's the way it always goes. The combination of vulnerability and passion will be a powerful force that allows beings to show their feelings, which can be terrifying yet exhilarating. Then the time comes when it's all over. It was a painful realization but required.

It's better to have to hold one's own hand sometimes to protect yourself from harm and ensure that you're doing everything correctly. Perhaps that was the way for the children of Odin. Regardless of how long a romantic relationship lasts, it'll eventually end.

According to Thor, it's better to feel terrible about losing someone's love than to never experience it. He called it "feeling shitty." She believed her brothers had developed such unrealistic expectations for love, especially after suffering the heartbreak of loss and rejection they did. Although she appreciated Thor's input and his words on "feeling shitty" being better than pushing people away and closing off your heart, she wasn't ready to embrace the idea. She had other priorities that were a better use of her time than reflecting on her failed relationship.

It didn't matter that there were still times when she'd feel lonely and sit and think about the time they spent together. Good times like sitting on the roof of the old Avengers compound and talking about everything that came to mind, Steve clinging onto her in the mornings when she'd dare try to get out of bed, or watching old movies together. It's hard to remember the memories they made together.

It's why she wanted to do her best to show how happy she was for him. She didn't want it to be the same every time. She wished to avoid all the pain that came from seeing him. The best solution she could think of for moving on from such an experience was to smile and keep saying she was happy.

A sudden knock at her door startled her out of her thoughts. She told the person to come in, thinking one of the handmaidens was going to enter and tell her that her friends had officially departed. She was hoping this would be the case since the news would help her further in continuing to move on from all of this. Unfortunately, this particular news brought a guest who made her heart stop.

"Captain Rogers, my lady,"

Woah goddess reader can shape shift?!

What if she uses it to pretend to be loki if he ever mocks her husband or pretends to be thor to prank him and her kids and or husband sees it

Like Loki, Y/N learned magic from their mother. She's great at illusions and shapeshifting, but her main thing is telekinesis and mental manipulation. Similar to Sylvie, she can pull out memories from people. She mostly used it as an Avenger to interrogate people she feel aren't telling her everything. It was also very handy in Wakanda when she was helping Bucky with his rehabilitation.

We all know one of Loki's favorite things to do is mock his brother-in-law. As an uncle, he'll keep on doing it. If he sees Steve with the kids, he'll sneak up behind him, shift into him, and mimic everything he does. This makes the kids laugh every time.

As a way to defend Steve, Y/N has done the same and shape shifts into Loki every time he's teasing Steve. Earning more giggles from the little ones.

"I'm Loki! I'm a big, smelly, prince!"

"Rude!"

Nowadays, she uses her shapeshifting to entertain her kids. They love seeing their mom change her face so she looks like a funny animal.

Steve and asgardian reader cuddling after a long day an the kids are asleep

The kids were finally fast asleep. Today drained the two of them but in a good way. It was the last day of summer, and they ended things with a bang. Big breakfast, visiting the shops until lunchtime. They then spent their time at the zoo until finally, they came home where the kids were put to bed, no problem, and their parents could spend the rest of the evening on the couch.

"We did good, huh?" Steve said, his words humming against the top of her head.

The day was enjoyed by everyone, and it was such a pleasure to see the kids enjoying themselves.

"Did you see how Daisy's eyes lit up seeing all those colorful birds?"

Steve hummed in confirmation. It was adorable seeing how bright their daughter's eyes were when she looked at the tropical birds at the zoo. One would've thought she was witnessing something amazing like a masterpiece of a painting.

"What about Nat and all the dresses she saw at that antique shop?"

Y/N laughed in response, remembering how fascinated Nat was by the many dresses displayed at that one place. She thought they were beautiful princess dresses and even asked her mother if they were like the ones she wore when she was a princess on Asgard. They were far from that kind of style, but Y/N didn't have the heart to tell her that and ended up buying many of the dresses for her. No doubt she and Steve will be attending a little fashion show where she'll show them all off to her parents.

Overall, it was a lovely day filled with so much happiness and joy with a mix of memorable experiences.

Before meeting and falling in love, neither of them knew what to expect out of life. When Steve left his life in 1945, he had lost all hope of ever having stability or finding love. Y/N, meanwhile, believed love would never come unless her father arranged for her to meet someone he claimed was special. They couldn't imagine living in a world where they could have everything they wanted. But there they were, in a place where they can relax after enjoying a fun day with their kids.

After saving the universe from countless threats, they were finally given a safe haven, a place of peace and security. The world offered new heroes that will keep an eye on things. All Steve and Y/N needed to do now was reflect on their achievements and make a good future for themselves and their family.
