In celebration of steamboat Willie coming into public domain, I made some totally original characters: Will and Petey!
Will is the captain of the S.S WILLIE (he named it after himself)! He’s pretty infamous for being petty, grumpy, and generally rude to almost everyone that he meets. He also has barely any social whatsoever, other than talking to his brother.
Petey on the other hand is the newest (and only other) crew mate! He loves his job and takes it very seriously, so much so that it usually gets him into a bunch of trouble (and Will has to get him out of it)
What kinda trouble you may ask?

author’s note: thanks for all the requests!! i'm really getting in the flow of writing rn (and inspired by the holidays) so i'm going to do my best to write as many of them as i can! ❄️

“Is Daddy gonna be home soon?”
It’s not the first - or the second, or the fifth - time your daughter has asked this question since she woke up this morning.
Ben left for training shortly before 8, and neither you nor your daughter Sophie were awake yet. You could’ve happily slept a few more hours, but Sophie woke you up not long after to excitedly announce that it had snowed overnight.
In her four years of life, your daughter has never seen a significant amount of snow, at least that she can recall. It snowed quite a bit on her first Christmas, but she was far too little to remember that, and since then there’s been nothing but a few flurries here and there or a light dusting on the rooftops.
She’s quite fascinated by the concept from watching movies and TV shows featuring winter activities and is currently deep in a Frozen phase, which means she’s obsessed with the idea of building a snowman.
Over the past month as the weather got colder, you and Ben had tried to keep her expectations low as you weren’t sure you would get enough snow to make this dream a reality. You could tell it was killing Ben to disappoint her - he hates denying his little girl anything - and a few nights ago you caught him looking into booking a holiday to Switzerland or Finland or anywhere she would be guaranteed some snow.
Thankfully, today her prayers were answered, and you were fully prepared to bundle up and go outside with her before you even had your coffee, but she insisted on waiting for Ben. It was their plan to build the snowman together, Sophie told you, and she stuck to her decision even when you reminded her he wouldn’t be home for hours.
It‘s been pretty adorable watching her anxiously await her dad’s return all morning, pacing around the house and checking for his car in the driveway often. You can tell how badly she wants to go out and play in the glistening white snow, and the remarkable restraint she’s showing is a testament to how much of a daddy’s girl she is.
“Not too much longer, sweetheart,” you assure her as you beckon her to come cuddle with you on the couch where you’re doing a bit of work on your laptop. “He texted a while ago and said he’ll be here as soon as he can.”
“Alright,” Sophie sighs. “Can you put on Frozen?”
You’ve watched this movie more times than you can count lately, and once already today, but you remind yourself that you signed up for this when you chose to be a parent as you’re queuing up Disney Plus once again.
Later, when you’re nearing the end of the film and you’ve given up on doing any more work as long as your daughter is screaming the lyrics to each song, you hear the sound of the front door opening and closing.
“Daddy!”
The movie is quickly abandoned as Sophie darts toward the foyer to greet Ben. You’re not too far behind her, though by the time you reach them she’s already in her dad’s arms.
“Daddy, it snowed!” Sophie exclaims, her little arms wrapped around Ben’s neck. “We have to build a snowman!”
“I know, darling,” Ben laughs, giving Sophie another squeeze before gently setting her down. “Why don’t you go get your coat on while I say hello to Mummy?”
Sophie nods and eagerly runs toward the closet to fetch her winter coat. As Ben drops his bag and makes his way over to you, you can see how tired he is from training. When he cups your face to give you a kiss, you can tell he’s also freezing.
“How was training, baby?” you murmur, placing your hands on his to warm them up.
“Cold,” Ben sighs. “Forgot how brutal it is training in the snow. I’m glad the gaffer let us go home early, though.”
“You and me both,” you smile, leaning in to kiss him again. “Maybe you should warm up a bit before going out to play with Soph?”
“No, she’s been waiting for me all day,” Ben says. “I’ll be fine.”
You know there’s no changing his mind, especially when Sophie comes running back into the room in her adorable little puffer jacket that nearly swallows her whole. You help her zip it up and grab mittens, a scarf and a hat to keep her warm, as well as some for you and Ben.
Once you’re all ready to face the cold, you head out to the garden together. You and Ben have matching grins on your faces as you watch Sophie excitedly run through the snow for the first time, a core childhood memory being created right before your eyes.
She gets to work right away on her snowman, rolling the snowball she’s formed as long as she can before it gets too heavy for her and she has to accept Ben’s help.
You join in on their efforts, occasionally taking a break to take some photos of your daughter and husband that you already know are going to be your new phone background.
After some hard work - certainly for a four year old - the snowman is completed with a carrot nose and hat that you had prepared just for this occasion.
“He looks great, Sophie!” you exclaim. “What’s his name? Olaf?”
Despite it being a fairly safe guess, Sophie looks at you like you have two heads.
“No, Mummy, Olaf doesn’t have a hat,” she reminds you very matter-of-factly. “His name is Tom.”
“Like Uncle Tom?” Ben chuckles, referring to his best friend and her godfather.
Sophie seems to contemplate this for a moment before shaking her head.
“No, because I want him to be Tom.”
You and Ben look at each other for a moment before bursting out into laughter. You both blame your daughter’s stubbornness on each other, though deep down you know it’s from both of you, but at times like this it’s both hilarious and adorable.
“Fair enough, sweetie,” you say, bending down to give her a kiss on the forehead. “Now, I think some hot chocolate is in order. Ready to go in?”
“No, we have to make snow angels!”
Of course, this was another activity she had seen in films that she was dying to try for herself.
“Alright,” you chuckle. “Why don’t we make snow angels while Daddy goes and warms up? He’s been out in the snow all day.”
The pout on Sophie’s face quickly tells you that she is not happy with this plan, and Ben swoops in before you can say anything else.
“I think I have a few snow angels left in me,” he smiles, picking Sophie up and balancing her on his hip. “Babe, can you start the hot chocolate while we finish up here?”
You raise an eyebrow at your husband but accept his proposal nonetheless, placing a quick kiss on both his and Sophie’s cheeks before heading inside.
As you’re warming up the milk on the stovetop, you look out the window where Ben and Sophie are still playing, her excited giggles loud enough that you can hear her through the windowpane.
Your heart is threatening to burst from the sweet scene, overflowing with love for your daughter and admiration for your amazing husband. No matter how tired he is from training, if he’s upset about a loss or injured or anything else, he always steps up for Sophie. You’ve known since you met him that he would be a great dad, but ever since you became parents, he’s continued to exceed your expectations.
Just as you’re pouring three steaming mugs of hot chocolate, you hear your family come in through the back door and begin to strip off their winter gear.
To your delight, Sophie runs straight into the kitchen and hugs you tightly.
“I made five snow angels!” she exclaims as you run your hand up and down her back in an effort to warm her up. “Daddy made some big ones, too.”
“That’s amazing, love,” you smile, kissing her head. “You want some hot chocolate?”
“Yes! Can I put the marshmallows in?”
“Of course,” you say, lifting her up onto the counter and passing her the bag of mini marshmallows.
As much as she’s a daddy’s girl at heart, you also get your fair share of moments when your daughter seems to only want her mother. You know how special her bond is with Ben, and you really can’t blame her for how much she loves spending time with him, but you still cherish the little things that just for the two of you - making hot chocolate with extra marshmallows being one of them.
You carry the tray of drinks into the living room with Sophie trailing behind, and find Ben already there getting the fireplace going and arranging some pillows and blankets.
“This looks cozy,” you smile, setting the drinks down and sitting on the floor across from him, Sophie following your lead. “Thanks, honey.”
“Thanks for making the hot chocolate, my loves,” Ben responds, glancing over at the tray that holds two regular Christmas mugs and one with the Frozen characters on it. He picks that one up and pretends to take a sip. “I assume this one is mine?”
“No, Daddy, that’s mine!” Sophie squeals, making both you and Ben laugh as he carefully passes it back to her.
You all sip your drinks in silence for a few minutes, enjoying the warmth of the sweet beverages and the burning fire.
“So, did you enjoy your first snow, Soph?” Ben asks. “Was it everything you hoped?”
“It was amazing!” Sophie confirms. “Thank you for playing, Daddy.”
“You’re welcome, angel,” Ben says with a soft smile as Sophie climbs into his lap and he kisses her rosy cheeks.
It’s not long before she drifts off to sleep, tuckered out from playing in the snow and comforted by her dad’s embrace and the sound of you and Ben quietly talking about your days.
Once she’s fully passed out, Ben carefully shifts her tiny frame over in his arms to make room for you on his other side and beckons you over. With him laying back against the sofa and you now laying against his chest, both of you watching your daughter sleep peacefully, you’re not sure you’ve ever felt more content.
“That little girl absolutely adores you,” you comment, nuzzling further into Ben’s warmth.
“She must get that from her mum, then,” Ben jokes, making you roll your eyes for a moment before kissing his jaw, then his cheek.
“Mhm,” you nod, smiling as you reach his lips and kiss him slowly.
When you pull back, Ben gazes lovingly at you for a moment before his eyes return to Sophie, her little hand curling around the material of his hoodie in her sleep.
“Babe?” Ben murmurs, and you nod again. “How would you feel about trying for another one?”
It takes everything in you not to betray yourself with a grin as you think about the tiny Christmas onesie and pregnancy test you boxed up and placed under the tree yesterday while Ben was picking Sophie up from daycare.
It’s less than a week until Christmas - you can make it that long.
“Let’s talk about it after the holidays?” you say for now, pressing another kiss to Ben’s lips.
He nods with a smile, though you can see his mind wandering with thoughts of another little one to play in the snow and curl up by the fire and watching the same movies over and over with.
It’s been the greatest joy of your life raising Sophie side by side with him, and you absolutely can’t wait to do it all again.

His expression softened when he saw me walk down the stairs looking grumpy — not in the mood, looking like I woke up on the wrong side of the bed.
“Goodmorning, baby. I made you breakfast” Conrad said smiling gently — pushing the plate towards me. I groaned feeling a cramp in my stomach. I'm guessing it was the time of the month.
Conrad stood up and walked towards me “Oh my love” he said before hugging me, lifting me up — my legs around his waist, my arms around his shoulder.
He walked towards my couch and placed me done gently, "Stay here yeah? I'll get you a hot compress" he said, smiling at me gently - patting my head. I nodded, wrapping the blanket around me as he went to get me some hot compress.
I closed my eyes feeling exhausted and sickly. After ten minutes or so ,he came back with the compress and set it beside me then sat on the couch again, "Take this okay?" he asked handing me the glass of water with a pain reliever pill.
"Do you want me to go buy you some pads and some chocolate?" Conrad cooed, I smiled and nodded "Okay," he whispered and kissed my forehead before standing up, leaving me lying on the couch.
After about twenty minutes, Conrad returned with some chocolate and pads, I stood up and grabbed the bag from him and went upstairs to do my business, after I was done I saw Conrad walk towards the tv to put on my favorite Disney movie.
"Come, baby. Sit down" he said smiling - he pulled me gently, making me sit down on the couch before sitting down beside me, he placed my legs on top of his, then wrapped his arms around me as I gently leaned my head on his chest.
I looked up at him, giggling "I though you hated Disney movies?" I asked, Conrad chuckled - shaking his head no "I was just teasing, angel. Plus it's your favorite, I can watch these movies all day as long as it's with you" he said. I scoffed, laughing "You are too corny!" I said slapping him gently on the chest. He just chuckled before placing a kiss on my forehead before going back to watch the movie.
I remembered, he was supposed to go to help Jeremiah today with surfing "Hey weren't you supposed to help Jere today? I can handle myself, Connie. It's oka-"
I felt Conrad hug me tighter - pushing my head on his chest gently "I already texted him. It's okay, I want to take care of you so just let me alright? you are much more important" he cut me off - rubbing my head, raking his hands through my hear. God I couldn't ask for more, he was just the sweetest.

I’m writing from my phone because I have carpel tunnel and my hands hurt. Take these randomly assorted BSD hc’s:

- Albatross has every piercing under the sun: like he’s got a nose ring, eyebrow piercing, snakebites… anything u can think of
- Oda wears rings 🤤, plays with them when he gets anxious (he’s also my husband)
- Chuuya is a summer child (born in the summer), so he love it when it’s hot af outside and drags his friends outside to go eat lunch with him or smth (HES HUMAN IN MY HEART STFU, I DONT WANNA HEAR IT RN)
- opposite to Chuuya, Dazai is a winter baby, but he also hates the cold
- sometimes Adam sends Chuuya random incriminated texts on his phone. It’s usually just something silly like “Hello! I hope you’re eating sugar and growing very healthy.” Or maybe a random fact like “Did you know that cows have a strong sense of smell? They can perceive smells at a distance of up to ten kilometres.” Chuuya will usually not respond back, but he scoffs and lets out a small laugh to himself before closing his phone
- Ango hates bugs, he will cry if he sees a spider sitting on his paperwork
- Oda and Ango when drunk are very enthusiastic and energetic. Oda will dance on the counter while pretending his glass is a mic. Ango will join him too- The only person that knows this side to them is Dazai
- animals love sigma for some reason. Like Disney princess style love sigma. Sigma however, hates that this happens to him, and actively avoids walking in forests or places where animals usually reside.
- Oda is a good dancer, like good… old style bar dancer. He’s quite impressive actually, and it’s attractive-
- Chuuya and Albatross both have heterochromia.
- Literally no one except for Chuuya has seen Albatross with his sunglasses off. That shit is basically glued to his face
- Verlaine is bougie as hell. Like I know he’s Mafia, but I think it’d be funny if he was… more bougie than like everyone else in the Mafia. Like he actively buys and wears expensive shit.
- Verlaine has a good hair routine.
- Doc may or may not have a plushie collection. And they may or may not all be sea animals
- Kunikida seems like he’d have an emo phase. Idk why… I just think he would.
- Despite only using one bar of soap for showering, Atsushi actually smells really nice for some reason (he smells like lavender)
- lippman is a swiftie, doc is a barb (I discussed this with one of my moots and now I can’t stop thinking about it)
- since it’s hinted is SB that Lippman would still make ppl fold at him wearing feminine clothes, I hc that he does not rly give a shit about gender or what one should/should not wear
- Chuuya has taken this tip from Lippman and has worn skirts before with his outfits
- the real reason why akutagawa dislikes mandarins (that’s canon btw) is because one time he was offered one to eat and as he was peeling it the mandarin juice got in his eye and he chopped it up into bits out of anger
- Chuuya only ate bread and soup when he was in the Sheep, since then Kouyou has introduced him to the finer foods in life, and Albatross introduced him to junk food
- Dazai used Chuuya’s shower when he was in the Mafia because he didn’t have a shower in that old ass storage container
- Oda does not pay for haircuts. He cuts his own hair, and one time he was too busy so he had to tie it up in a low pony
- Kunikida likes things that are weighted (weighted blankets, etc)
- Oda’s a little bit tanned because of jobs that have to do with being outside in the sun for long periods of time

-He quickly went to the front door, finding you leaning back against the door, your arms wrapped around your stomach and tears slipping down your cheeks.
-His worried eyes instantly softened as he approached as you looked up at him, and he opened his arms before quickly sweeping you off your feet, picking you up princess style, “It’s okay Y/N, you’re home now.”
-You leaned your head against his chest, letting your eyes close as the warmth of his body spread through your own body, a soft sigh leaving you.
-(Love) helped you change your clothes, putting you into your pajamas before turning you into a burrito using two blankets, laying you on the couch before crawling on beside you, hugging you close.
-He stroked your hair gently, not going to push you to find out what had happened, he knew that you would come to him in your own time once you had a bit of time to decompress.
-You sniffled softly, your head on his shoulder as you inhaled deeply, telling him of what happened at work, that your coworkers were being so annoying and just wouldn’t stop bothering you, despite you asking, then begging them too, and it got you so worked up that you nearly sent yourself into a panic attack and got your stomach churning.
-He rubbed your stomach, at least over the blankets that you were wrapped up in, soothing you, letting you vent, letting you calm down in your own time in your own way.
-(Love) was patient, not willing to rush you, and soon you wiggled, demanding to be free from your blanket prison, which made him laugh warmly but did as you asked.
-Once free you wrapped your arms around his neck, hugging (Love) close and you sighed softly, melting into his embrace which made his heart swell, feeling so warm that you felt so safe and content around him.
-He patted your thigh gently, “C’mon you, let’s get some food into you- it might help.” You nodded, but made no move to let him go, snuggling even more into his chest, making him laugh softly before he hugged you close, “We can stay like this for five more minutes, then food.”
-You nodded into his shoulder, agreeing to his terms, happy that you won more snuggle time, but (Love) would give you as much as you wanted and more, always.

it’s been a long time since i watched a new movie, but lately i’ve been watching some good documentaries! i watched “100 years of warner bros.” on hbo max the other night while i baked cookies. and i also recently watched “the imagineering story” on disney+ all about the disney parks and attractions. and the recent “quiet on set” series everyone has been talking about too, which obviously wasn’t as fun of a subject, but very insightful and thought provoking, albeit disturbing and upsetting. i shall be on the hunt for something much lighter to watch next time. oh wait, there’s a new doc series coming out on amazon prime next week made by j-hope of bts about his love for dance! i’m looking forward to it a lot x

Squad Halloween Headcanons
Y’all. I FUCKING LOVE Halloween, and for me, (because of my Disney life) it starts in mid August…last year was the first time in 9 years I wasn’t in a Disney Park to celebrate with all their amazing entertainment and delicious snacks and I was SO SAD, I was planning to go back this year but #1: I’m not an idiot about to travel rn #2: our border is still closed #3: they cancelled MNSSHP this year.
Also this took so fcking long cause I got SUPER hyped up/distracted jamming out to MNSSHP JAMS.

Imma start with the team going through a haunted house cause that’s what the anon asked for originally
The squad ends up going to some Halloween festival down at Coney Island as a way to brush off some steam and have some time together outside work
It’s definitely Rollins who suggests going through the haunted house, the kind with actual actors inside that jump out of you along with creepy/gruesome scenes and rooms along the way (I’m thinking Halloween Horror Nights type thing)
Kat’s the first to agree, grabbing Amanda’s hand while the two gleefully run towards the entrance (hopped up on sugar or alcohol you choose). They’re giggling and yelping the entire way through having the time of their lives
Carisi’s definitely the one screaming like a baby around every corner, actually terrified, which naturally Amanda is laughing at him for, making plans on how to prank him around the precinct more often
Amaro’s the one who nearly punches one of the actors out of pure fight or flight instinct
Barba thinks the entire thing is childlike and ridiculous, he’s only here because Olivia showed up at his apartment and dragged him down there herself.
Casey finds herself jumping more often than she’d thought, brushing it off with laughter
Olivia & Alex end up jumping together and don’t even realize they’re holding hands until they’re all the way out and someone else points it out which they both get super flustered about, blaming it on being scared
Fin definitely makes some comment about how this is “white people shit” and he’ll never understand why something like this is supposed to be fun.
Melinda is hands down going over every gruesome scene with a groan, complaining how inaccurate it is, wapping Carisi’s arm as he’s trembling over the gore being all “it’s not even real, calm down!”
Sonya’s the one with the flask in her pocket…duh…
Halloween in general:
Olivia wasn’t super big on the holiday originally, but once she adopts Noah it becomes more of a regular thing when he’s old enough to actually enjoy it. She always makes sure he has the cutest/best costume, and is sure to take him trick or treating with Lucy (so that if she has to leave he doesn’t have to stop getting candy). She lets him gorge on candy that night, but is sure to keep it limited over the next few weeks. They do all the cute family Halloween things, carve pumpkins, roast the seeds, watch things like It’s The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown, in the month leading up to the holiday
Rollins LOVES scary movies, and uses Sept/Oct as an excuse to bust them out, we’re talking all the Friday the 13ths, all the Halloween’s, all 4 Scream’s, Nightmare on Elm Street, the Strangers, the Purge collection, the Chucky movies, ALL of them. She drags Carisi into it despite the fact that he HATES them, especially the jump scares, laughing at how panicked he gets during the tense scenes. After having kids she softens up a little bit, obviously she can’t show a 4 year old those movies (she’ll wait til after bedtime for that). She’ll usually join Liv in trick or treating, making the night a little more enjoyable for both of them. She also is 100% guilty of eating at least half of the girls candy after they go to sleep for the night and DEFINITELY hits up the stores Nov 1st for all that sweet, sweet discounted chocolate. She definitely has a costume for Frannie, who puts up with her bullshit long enough to get a couple of pictures before tearing the thing to pieces.
Carisi loves doing all the cute fun fall things with his family. Like, he’ll be back in Staten Island raking the leaves in his parent’s yard just so the kids can dive bomb into the pile before filling those big jack’o’lantern garbage bags for decorations. He goes costume shopping with them, or spends hours going through pattern books at the fabric store because his Ma is clearly making all the costumes herself just like she did when he was a kid. He’ll spend hours carving pumpkins, chaperoning various relatives friends groups while they trick or treat, various parties of the kids, laughing along with them while they play games. Is definitely helping his sisters make witch finger cookies, or those tables where they turn the lights off and you touch peeled grapes pretending they’re eyeballs and the like. Seriously cannot wait to have his own family/kids to experience it with, cause, duh…it’s our soft sonshine bean.
Alex doesn’t care much for the holiday, this bitch comes from wealth and class and you simply cannot tell me otherwise. She’s much more a Christmas/New Years Eve type holiday celebrator. She’s glad she lives in an apartment where there aren’t many trick or treaters or kids in general, she MIGHT leave a bowl of candy outside her door if she knows there’s kids in the building, but catch this girl probably still at the office not even realizing it’s Oct 31st. As for fall in general, she prefers it, getting to spend more time snuggled up with her s/o, using the chilling weather as an excuse, especially if PDA’s involved. “I’m only holding your hand cause it’s cold” kinda thing
Rafael is 1000% still in his office the entire night, has no reason to celebrate and finds everything oh so childish, though he probably will bring Noah a little packet of candy (and probably a tooth brush, cause, no one likes cavities). He hates the whole “pumpkin obsession” that everyone goes through, ESPECIALLY with coffee, how anyone can drink that sugary sweet shit is far beyond him. Plus it brings hoards more people into the coffee shops and makes him late for work if he doesn’t start leaving the house earlier. He appreciates the cooling weather thanks to regularly being in 3 piece suits though, cause that’s no fun in the humid heat of summer.
Casey’s not super into it, she might throw up a decoration or two on her apartment door for the spirit of things, but she’s not going out or celebrating, and definitely not dressing up. She’s a girl that belongs in summer, warm air, outdoor sports, the ability to bike ride through the city rather than deal with rain/snow. I feel things like 4th of July are her jam, outdoors, a barbecue, the warm summer air, sports, obviously softball.
Melinda: (it’s canon she’s married and has a kid so I’m going with that here). She gets WAY too into it in terms of setting up her front yard into a horror zone, like, the MOST realistic decorations, organizing skeletons/organs/brains/etc into the most realistic & disgusting scenarios. Loves to freak out trick or treater’s with it while her kids younger, when the kid is older and hosting parties, she’ll have a long trail leading to the back yard, a little haunted house type display with all the medically accurate terrifying thing before the guests get to the door. She definitely takes notes of the most disturbing deaths she’s seen all year just for this moment. There is 100% fog machines and creepy soundtracks throughout the entire thing.

i love “clean girl” makeup, fairy wings eyeliner design, and glitter on my eyelids. currently wearing dresses more than any other article of clothing. my dream is to live in a cottage, grow berries, have a lil pond for lil duckies and bird feeders on my windows and be surrounded by flora. my dream job is to work at a flower job to which i ride my bike to and from. ‘m crazy about flowers if you couldn’t tell. fairycore, cottagecore, and baker!girlfriend are my favorite aesthetics. i love original fairytales, the dark and twisted ones, but the only disney-like fairytales i love are aurora, alice and rapunzel. i’m extremely pale so i like to pretend i’m a vampire fairy or any kind of undead fairy. as if that’s a thing lol. obsessed with the grimm brothers’ tales, supernatural and monster lore, magical beings. fav movie genre is action but i love watching horror because it always makes me laugh. any horror movies. is just funny. i’m a marvel (2009–2018) obsessed girl.

HARMONIA OMG, i might be biased but the first time i saw your feed i thought you were so steve's cottagecore dream gf coded!!! first of all steve WOULD LOVE LOVE this dream. also i always imagined steve w a 'clean girl' make up type of someone and he would love ur little SUNDRESSES SM!! he would be obsessed w them and he would def buy u lots of cute dresses in diff colors and he would ask u to make him a little show of all of ur dresses, (im imagining the 27 dresses scene w this rn loll) also ALSOO steve would always come by ur flower shop, pretending to buy flowers for someone else and then he would pretend to leave and dramatically come back telling u, 'sorry i was late i met this really pretty angel in a flower shop and i got u these flowers.' bc he's such a lil dramatic cutie like that!! and and and steve would always looove listening to your obsession with fairytales, (even though he would definitely be horrified when u would tell him about the dark original tales) he would adore the face your lights up when you told him all about your favorite fairytale and he would just swoon over u with his hand on his chin, looking dreamily!! steve would LOVE FOR U TO BE HIS BAKER!GF !! he would never tell u to make anything for him but when you did bake something for him he would GO CRAZY, he would feel so giddy inside and his heart would skip a beat when u bring him something u baked during his work break. he would eat all of it in a second and would try to bake u something in return (he would v much fail </3) but thats okay because you would teach him gladly !!!
but ALSO! i can definitelllyyy see you with chrissy! (maybe im biased again bc of ur moodboards BUT) chrissy is obsessed with flowers and sun dresses!! and she would definitely work w u in the flower shop!! (and now im imagining dani and jamie from bly manor minus the ending :(() and i think as much as chrissy is a flowers & sun dresses type of girl like u i think she would really enjoy watching all of the horror movies w u !! <3 and would PROBABLY be so obsessed w supernatural and monster lore!! and i see chrissy calling u her pretty lil fairy <33

Mysterious Benedict Society Episode 7 Liveblog - A Joyful Lens
I wrote this and then completely forgot to come back to it, but here we are, the day before the final episode is dropping.
Wow, immediate new record for how fast I’ve wanted to punch Curtain. Usually it takes at least a couple minutes but this time it was just. literally the first line. may your tea always be too bitter and scald your fucking tongue.

“Big day tomorrow” pls no that sounded so wrong. I’ve been saying big day today for the past year, and big day tomorrow made me v uncomfortable.
Tbh I wouldn’t be shocked if Curtain picked up on the fact that there was something in the tea. Not that I think he’s smart enough to pick up on it, but he just seems paranoid enough as a person to notice that something’s off.

Love Kate and Milligan’s farm system. All of the moments that show how much they’ve built their lives and relationship with one another over the past year really warm my heart. It’s a nice other side to the moments where they’re struggling with their relationship

It’s really interesting that Mr Benedict has been able to have analytical thought about the hypnosis while he’s in it, like “why am i feeling this way, i feel like i should be fighting this” but other people don’t seem to be able to do that. It might just be for story purposes from the writers, but I wonder if there’s an in-universe reason?

Okay final thoughts:
Overall, I loved this episode too! I’m finding I’m really liking the later episodes as the plot ramps up and character beats come to a head, but I’ve been enjoying it all. I’m really interested to see how they close things out next episode, and how the hypnosis side effects end up being resolved, especially now that I don’t know if the main group is going to be going back to the compound at all. (J&J call in Garrison please, she can fix this.) And excited to see more character moments especially when people come out of the hypnosis.
Where we’re at right now has me kind of worried for next episode, but I’m trying to stay optimistic. I feel like there are so many loose threads that need tying up, but with the much shorter episodes this season I’m a little worried things are going to feel really rushed next episode and not have very satisfying closures, or some things are just going to get dropped altogether.
But yes very good episode and I’m both excited for the next episode and already sad the season will be over.
