Gundham wins a hypnosis device of sorts after using the MonoMono Machine, and although Monokuma pops up briefly to tell him how it works and implies that he can use this to manipulate his classmates however he wants whenever, Gundham still doubts it works and is just a children's toy.
Monokuma still urges him to try it since he still might like it, so Gundham does, although still doubtful.
He finds Kazuichi by chance and decides to use him as his test subject. He tells Kazuichi to stay still and focus on the device before him, Kazuichi (for whatever reason) stays and hesitantly obeys the breeder.
Safe to say, the device worked, and Gundham keeps Kazuichi hypnotized for the rest of their field trip on the island.
Whatever he does to Kazuichi is up to the writer. :3
