I redesigned the rad inclus flag because why not, I used more neon colours to contrast the soft colours that the safequeers use. Also RAD INCLUS DOES NOT EQUAL RADQUEER!!!

Saying that It/Its Pronouns and neopronouns are transphobic is transphobic and ableist. These kinds of pronouns were created and used by disabled and neurodivergent Trans people. Saying those pronouns are transphobic is transphobic because you're blaming those Trans people who use them for the transphobia caused by cis people and binary Trans people, especially those who are Transmeds and gender critical. They are also telling disabled Trans people that they need to act a certain way in order to be taken seriously by cis people and other Trans and Queer people.

No Queer person owes anyone, cishet or Queer, conformity and palatability. If you can't take a certain Queer person seriously because you think that they're "weird" or "cringy," then that's your problem. And if you refuse to address any Trans person who uses it/its pronouns or neopronouns by their correct pronouns, you're being transphobic. Respecting Trans people is not conditional. You have to respect a Trans person's identity regardless if you disagree with their gender identity/pronouns.

I'm not Trans, but I'm neurodivergent. I've faced ableism (and currently still am) and have been discriminated and bullied for being neurodivergent, as well as being called the r slur (and still have been called that as of recently). I know how it is to be seen as weird, cringy, and felt as if I was "less than" from first-hand experience. Anyone who makes fun and shames any person who identifies as xenogenders, uses neopronouns, and it/its pronouns out of fear of transphobia is supporting cringe culture. Cringe culture was created by neurotypical and able bodied people as a way to dehumanize disabled people for just being themselves. Cringe culture should die off by now, but there are still people trying to push Cringe culture.

So please, stop bullying and shaming any Trans person who uses identities and pronouns that you don't agree with.

Can someone explain neopronouns to me?

This is genuine. I went through both the anti neopronouns tags and pro neopronouns tags, but neither explain their sides good enough. I have questions for both sides, and I want some genuine answers without people getting mad at each other. For people answering, I ask that you keep in mind that these are genuine questions. Please don’t get mad.

For people answering, you don’t have to answer all questions. I know some of these questions are pretty heavy.

For both/neutral to answer:

• What are neopronouns?

• When and where do they originate from?

• When and why did neopronouns become more popular recently?

For pro neopronouns/neopronoun users to answer:

• Why do you feel most comfortable with these pronouns instead of pronouns like they/them?

• How do you come up with these pronouns?

• I’ve seen posts of neopronoun users adding more and more pronouns to their profiles just to spite an anti-neopronoun person. Are they truly comfortable with those pronouns being used on them, or are they just doing it to spite these people?

• Do you use these pronouns in real life?

• If so, how do you get people to use your neopronouns in real life?

• How do you use neopronouns like bunny/bunnyself in a sentence?

• Neopronouns like paw/pawself don’t really make sense grammatically. And some people don’t like using grammatically incorrect sentences. How do you get around that, and how do you help people who are uncomfortable with using grammatically incorrect sentences?

• How do you pronounce pronouns like xir/xem/ey, or other pronouns similar to those?

• Some people think that neopronouns are causing harm to trans rights. They also think that neopronouns are making it harder for trans people to be taken seriously. Do you agree or disagree? If you disagree, can you explain how neopronouns are not causing harm?

• What would you do if, hypothetically, neopronouns were genuinely causing harm? Like they are causing harm to trans rights, like some people think they are?

• What can people do to help make you more comfortable?

• Any other things you would like to add?

For anti neopronouns to answer:

• Why are you uncomfortable with calling people by neopronouns?

• Are you alright with pronouns like xir/zen/ey etc.? If not, why?

• Alternatively, are you alright with pronouns such as void/voidself? If not, why?

• If you said that you were alright with one but not the other, why?

• Some languages don’t have gender neutral pronouns like English does, so there are neopronouns in other languages for gender neutral people. What are your thoughts on that?

Okay but in all seriousness I have never met an exclusionist who didn't turn out to also be ableist.

Not even just talking about terfs. Transmeds, ace exclusionists, battleaxe bis, anti mogai/neopronouns/xenogenders, etc. too. I literally have not found one, in the 5 years I have been active in the community, who didn't also say ableist bullshit. Tbh starting to doubt non ableist exclusionists even exist because I literally have never seen a single one.

I know I said a dozen reasons but I’m tired and can only think of ten if that’s okay

1) JKR’s essay and the subsequent hate for her made more people look into gender critical views end up in radfem circles

2) Other events cause mass peaking among radfems. Most recently, the woman who was doxxed by a trans woman (I believe) for blocking the trans woman who made her uncomfortable. Another example was pxr some time back who was run off of tumblr for commenting/making a joke (can’t remember which) about not wanting to fuck a dick as a lesbian.

3) Homophobic abuse and conversion therapy in the name of trans activism causes people to peak

4) Misogyny, silencing of women, and sexual violence in the name of trans activism causes people to peak

5) Seeing women reduced down to their body parts (eg: uterus haver, vagina owner, etc) in the name of being inclusive causes people to peak, especially when opposed to the men who don’t experience the same labelling

6) Other forms of violent threats and abuse in the name of trans activism causes people to peak

7) Lots of people get confused by the contradicting lies about radfems or keeping up with new trans identities which leads them to actually read radfem logic and then they become radfems (know more than one radfem who peaked from hate-reading radfem blogs)

8) Seeing trans women in women’s sports and other denials about the existence/importance of biological sex causes people to peak

9) Since r/GC went down, radfems have found other spaces to come together and radblr has been one of the better ones for community so more people flock here (like I’ve seen two posts about how toxic radtwitter is today)

10) The ‘based on your likes’ function typically shows TRAs radfems because we often run in circles not too far separated from each other (through similar feminist topic posts and cryptos) which makes it look like there’s just a lot of us

also this might come as a shock to you, but intersex people exist and intersex people need to be included, hence inclusive language. (this goes for both ‘men’ & ‘woman’)

It’s the same for men as well, at least in the circles i’m in. i use my fair share of “if someone has a cock” or “ball haver” in replace of something else!

The concept of men and women are societally made anyways, we have given ourselves these labels (cause that’s all they are, labels.)
