Hii, can you explain kin for fun/kff?
Im nonhuman or otherkin/therian and hear about it but i really dont get it..
It's a thing that, as far as I'm aware, started on TikTok. Basically, it's people roleplaying. These aren't people who actually identify as the animals/species/characters they're roleplaying as, they've just appropriated the language used by actual alterhumans. The insidious thing about them, though, is that there is (or at least there was) a very loud segment of them who are very adamant that they don't actually identify as whatever they're roleplaying, because after all, they're not crazy. They're where the whole "I kin [thing they do not identify as]" (rather than "I'm ['type]kin") thing and the term "kinnie" come from. So if you ever see alterhumans, especially those of us who have been around a while, get up in arms over that language, that's why.
Basically, KFFers have undermined the alterhuman community, declared actual 'kin "crazy," and appropriated our terminology to the point people outside the alterhuman community are more likely to associate it with them than us. Which is, for a multitude of reasons, a Problem.
By contrast, otherlinkers also sometimes pick identities for fun, but have their own terminology and don't try to undermine the rest of the alterhuman community. Which is why I don't take issue with them, even if they have picked up some/all of their linktypes for fun.

as in are you pro-kin for fun or anti-kin for fun? or something else?
I am pro them using the correct terms, but I'm also not in the business of getting all up in someone else's business. I've personally had more success as defining myself as a "serious" otherkin.
I can't exactly control what terms someone else uses for themselves, but I can come up with ways for them to know the difference. I also don't see this topic as reason to personally be an ass to anyone unprompted.

BEASTPUNK: Being Unabashedly Animal
A subculture/term for anyone who identifies as partially or entirely as a nonhuman creature in an integral or intrinsic way, regardless of the origin or perceived nature of their identity, and who:
Embraces and celebrates their nonhumanity and animality, and (if applicable) the overlap and entanglement between one's human and nonhuman identity
Embraces abnormal instincts and behaviors related to their own and others' nonhumanity, so long as no active harm is done to another non-consenting individual or any real life animal
Interacts with their nonhumanity and displays it in socially unconventional or undesirable ways, and accepts and celebrates others doing so as well
Revels in the history of animal-people and beast-folk in all ways known: from the alterhuman community, from mythology, and from cultural or spiritual backgrounds relevant to the person in question
Throws respectability politics into the dumpster, lights it on fire, and dances around the burning corpse of the god "Cringe" in the moonlight
Is, unabashedly and genuinely, animal
This term is meant to be a reclamation of animalistic nonhuman identity, especially regarding individuals who may experience their nonhumanity in eccentric, "feral," or otherwise socially unacceptable or even stigmatized ways. Beastpunk is also open to endels, clinical lycanthropes, and others who experience nonhumanity in ways related to their mental health and physical bodies, although it is not open to self-identified p-shifters and p-shifter packs. Anyone who's ever been told that their animality is "too much," or that they're taking their identity as a nonhuman creature "too seriously," or who has lost previous words/groups they've used to define themself due to terminological drift, KFF appropriation and re-defining, or others gatekeeping their identity's authenticity is welcome to take up this term. Fictherians and fictional nonhuman creatures are also included in beastpunk, which is meant to be explicitly pro-fictionkin and fiction-based identities; theriomythics, folcintera, and mythkin are also included in beastpunk. Any and all nonhuman creatures, regardless of source or origin, are included.
This term is inspired by Anomalymon's original coining of kinpunk.
🚫 This term is not meant for KFF and other forms of anti-otherkin, anti-fictionkin, and similar. This term is not meant for self-identified "zootherians," "zoosexuals," "zetas," and similar. 🚫
Edit (09/28/22): Because someone asked me to clarify this: KFFers as mentioned in the above are meant to refer to individuals who redefine otherkin and related terms to just mean liking something a lot, rather than identifying as anything. They have roots in Tumblr anti-otherkin communities of the mid-2010's and in meme/fandom culture both, resulting in typically ableist and ahistorical language aimed towards otherkin: claims that otherkin are "taking it too seriously," or "just crazy," that otherkin and therians identities are "just a Tumblr thing," and that 'kins' should be based around fandom ideas of characters and morals.
Arguably, KFF are also largely responsible for the fictionkin community crash of the late 2010's due to their interactions in fictionkin community spaces, muddling of language within, and their insistences on bringing fandom wank in as a gatekeeping cudgel to ostracize others (the most common of such being the idea of what fictotypes are "moral and allowed" versus on what were "problematic and made you an evil person," which inspired no less than three separate OtherCon lectures from 2020-2022.)

I love how anti-KFF cry about KFFers and other alterhuman terms and even some abstract in-voluntary kin terms "hurting the community" while I look into the otherkin tags to find a fucking dude medicalizing alterhumanity/otherkininty by saying it's all just pathology and that they "Respect spiritual otherkin" while in the same breath saying spiritual otherkin are just pathological kin.
Almost like if your community gatekeeps the shit out of random shit with no historical sources ever linked, it causes people to gatekeep even further and medicalize shit.

We are pro-endo and pro-tulpa, anti-psych and anti-phys, pro-mad-liberation and cripplepunk inclusionists and coined unitypunk. We are kff safe and do not believe ANY identity that someone genuinely identifies as, that is not specifically based on intentional harm to others, can be inherently or ontologically harmful. We are proship/profic and ourselves are survivors of a specific kind of SA that cannot be directly spoken about here. We are also anti-forced-recovery and don't believe in consensus reality.
We also do not believe it is okay to make fun of reality shifters just because it's the current acceptable target, and find it especially hypocritical coming from otherkin. Even if it was always harmful, the appropriate response would be genuine, non-patronizing concern, offering resources, and then backing the fuck off if people can't or won't "recover". That being said, most "anti" sentiment in this context is heavily sanist and centered around the idea of a "correct" consensus reality. Not trusting people to be right about their own subjective experiences is both sanist and just generally an asshole move.
We believe transandrophobia exists, that everyone can be affected by transmisogyny and that TMA/TME labels are reductive and often bioessentialist and intersexist in usage, and that exorsexism and the above are all serious issues both within the trans community and in society as a whole. We support transunity. We also are pro-complicated and conflicting labels, such as mspec lesbian/gay, straight lesbian/gay, transmasc lesbians, and lesgay/lesboy/turigirl labels.
We are transhumanist and support bodily autonomy and good faith identity with NO. EXCLUSIONS. If you think this doesn't apply to you, I promise it still probably actually does. We do our best to judge people on their actions, not their thoughts, feelings, or anything else that occurs internally. We also don't believe any body modifications or exercise of personal bodily autonomy is wrong.
We also believe it's not wrong to be unhealthy, to refuse or be unable to recover, and that healthism is ableism. Disabled people (including neurodivergent people) are the most reliable authority on their own experiences. Also, if someone says they were called a slur, you should believe them, and they have a right to reclaim it regardless of if you think they have the "right" identity (outside of perhaps racial/ethnic slurs, which I feel is not our place to comment on). Slur, label, and flag discourse is all bullshit cop behavior and y'all need to stop it.

(PT: Rosepunk. End PT)
Rosepunk or Paxipunk - A punk ideology that is explicitly anti-nazi, anti-imperialism, pro-LGBTQ+, pro-decolonization and anti-zionist, but also completely anti-harassment and anti-violence with the exception of self-defense.
Put simply, do no harm but take no shit.
Rosepunk ideologies and stances are as follows:
-Pro-LGBTQ+, including all good faith identities.
-Pro-BLM, Pro-Land Back, Anti-Imperialism/Colonisation, Anti-Fascist and Anti-Zionist/Anti-Ethnostate.
-Pro-Feminist, but is against Radfem Ideology and TERFs.
-Sex positive and believes consent is key.
-Supportive of Sex Workers, but against the SW and Porn Industries and their exploitation of sex workers and pornstars.
-Pro-Alterhuman and Otherkin, including Fictionkin and Factkin.
--Neutral on KFF.
-Pro-Endo and Pro-Non-Traumagenic Systems.
-Supportive of all religions, but very much against religious cults and against using religion to spread hateful and harmful ideology
-Pro-veganism, but supportive of those who cannot become vegan for any reason.
-Shipcourse and Fandom Discourse unaligned for the most part, but Rosepunk is against the fetishization of abuse in fiction.
-Anti-Radqueer.
-Mostly Anti-TransID, but does support the reclaimation of terms such as "Transage", "Transabled" and "Transracial", which were stolen terms anyway.
-Pro-Paraphile, but anti-contact for harmful paraphilias.
-Anti-violence with the exception of self-defense.
-Everyone should do research on a certain subject before taking a stand.
-Rosepunk does not believe in black and white thinking, and believes that nuance and gray areas are important.
-Of course, Anti-Capitalist
-Pro-recovery.
-And, last but not least, Explicitly anti-harassment. Rosepunk's belief is that no matter what bad things someone did, they don't deserve to be sent suicide bait, death threats and/or other harassment.

Cringepunk
Cringepunk - A movement involving the reclaimation of the word "cringe" and basically being "cringe" just out of pure spite, and embracing being cringeworthy and basically not giving a fuck about what others think. Basically a way of saying "Fuck you. I'm cringe and I'm proud of it. I don't need to be your definition of "normal".
This was made with neurodivergent individuals, MOGAI/LIOM/LGBTQ+ individuals (including folks who use xenogenders), neopronoun/nounself pronoun/emojiself pronoun users and alterhumans in mind. However, you don't have to be any of those things to be Cringepunk!
While this term is meant to be anti-cringe culture and anti-harassment, we still want to make it clear that it does not support harmful identities and communities. Likewise, it will not tolerate exclusionism of harmless identities or misinformation. In particular, Cringepunk is:
Pro-Contradictory Labels.
Pro-Endogenic.
Pro-MOGAI.
Pro-Self Diagnosis with research.
Pro-Alterhumanity.
Pro-KFF.
Inclusive of people of all disabilities, including people with personality disorders, schizophrenia and DID.
Inclusive of all religions.
Inclusive of POC.
Anti-Radfem.
Anti-Fakeclaiming.
Anti-TransID.
Anti-Discourse of any kind.
Anti-Fetishization of Pedophilia or Incest.

Basically, Cringepunk supports expressing yourself in harmless ways, but is against anything that could genuinely harm others.
Flag meanings:
Dark Blue - Alterhumanity. This stripe represents alterhumans, especially otherkin.
Light Blue - Plurality. This stripe represents systems of ALL origins, including endogenic.
Green - Queerness. This refers to the entire LGBTQ+/MOGAI community, including mspec lesbians/gays, intersex individuals, non-monogamous individuals, aspec individuals, individuals who use xenogenders and many more.
Light green - Gender non-conformity and pronoun non-conformity. This refers to individuals who present differently then their given gender. In addition, this also refers to individuals who use pronouns that differ from their given gender, including neopronoun users, nounself pronoun users and emojiself pronoun users, as well as he/him lesbians, she/her gays and they/them and neopronoun gays and lesbians.
Gray represents being cringe and proud /pos.
Yellow represents aldernic individuals.
Orange represents those currently questioning their sexuality, gender, or if they're alterhuman, plural or neurodivergent.
Light red represents neurodivergency. This one I find incredibly important, as cringe culture has harmed several neurodivergent folks (especially autistics).
Dark red represents community, which includes MOGAI individuals, neopronoun users, aldernic individuals, alterhumans, systems, and anyone else who might be considered "cringe (such as furries).
The symbol represents challenging cringe culture and tearing it down.
