Hii, can you explain kin for fun/kff?
Im nonhuman or otherkin/therian and hear about it but i really dont get it..
It's a thing that, as far as I'm aware, started on TikTok. Basically, it's people roleplaying. These aren't people who actually identify as the animals/species/characters they're roleplaying as, they've just appropriated the language used by actual alterhumans. The insidious thing about them, though, is that there is (or at least there was) a very loud segment of them who are very adamant that they don't actually identify as whatever they're roleplaying, because after all, they're not crazy. They're where the whole "I kin [thing they do not identify as]" (rather than "I'm ['type]kin") thing and the term "kinnie" come from. So if you ever see alterhumans, especially those of us who have been around a while, get up in arms over that language, that's why.
Basically, KFFers have undermined the alterhuman community, declared actual 'kin "crazy," and appropriated our terminology to the point people outside the alterhuman community are more likely to associate it with them than us. Which is, for a multitude of reasons, a Problem.
By contrast, otherlinkers also sometimes pick identities for fun, but have their own terminology and don't try to undermine the rest of the alterhuman community. Which is why I don't take issue with them, even if they have picked up some/all of their linktypes for fun.

While I am an adult, I'm an aromantic asexual, so very heavy nsfw things as far as smvt, lime/lemon make me uncomfortable (trauma go brr).
I make a lot of nsfw jokes though so it doesn't really matter. I let people know when I'm no longer comfortable and expect respect from that
I don't mind romantic n vulgar language or nsfw jokes but I do not like graphic text or images.
So basically I just ask people to be decent. I'm a blandant dude and I'll just ask people to stop or say I'm uncomfortable when I get uncomfortable.
Basically just don't make me read smvt or get me or my oc involved in a heavily nsfw situation and I'm fine.

Love your take on Rosiepuff! I noticed how sometimes in many big families some children gets to experience a different version of their caretakers than their older or younger sibling.
I can see Branch remembering Rosiepuff as the sweetest angel that wouldn't hurt a fly. BUT in turn, his brothers would have been able to experience some bits of her angry side.
Like, has anyone considered that part of the reason why none of Brozone returned immediately is because they could be TERRIFIED of facing grandma after leaving like that??? (I don't really think it's unrealistic for her to not stop them because she could think they are just throwing a tantrum and will come back after cooling off)
YES! THAT'S HOW I'VE ALWAYS HEADCANON ROSIEPUFF, like since the first film That woman saw a bergen reaching for her kid and didn't HESITATE SHE WAS ON A MISSION. And I totally think that Brozone + Rowan are scared as hell of her.
And yeah I totally think she thought they were just throwing their tenth tantrum that week and that's why she let them go.
I also think that Branch knows how his grandma was but it's totally biased with her💀💀, like If he caught any of his brothers saying anything slightly not positive about her he will grab a stick and be like "What are you saying about the woman who raised me"
Also a fact Rosiepuff can't stand Rowans guts and he is totally scared of her

Rowan has been burned by love before? Does he hookup a lot or was it one love?
Yeah. The thing about Rowan is that he does do casual hookups but in reality it is never casual for him lol. He can have one night stands and such but he will develop feelings and that actually gets mentioned in the story. Rowan’s affinity for falling in love too hard and too fast is sort of written as a joke amongst MC and the band but there is sad truth to it.
That’s why I’m hesitant to make him a hookup option because if MC and Rowan hookup, I will have to make him fall for MC if I want to stay true to the character I created for him (only if MC willfully hooks up with him of course). I was going to make MC the exception but it just doesn’t sound like him. In fact, MC would def be his “one that got away” lover. But since he’s not an LI he’d just be pining over MC which seems particularly cruel 😭
I mean, I do give you guys the option to break up a marriage and engage in an affair so I have no qualms about emotional cruelty and i cant take the moral high ground 🤣🤣🫵 but the difference is that there’s a pay off with G and Vic. They can still get their happy endings while Rowan has to fuck off somewhere Lmao
BUT honestly it’s kind of fun just keeping him a head canon and a tumblr-exclusive character thing.
Plus, as other anon said, Rowan can find true love somewhere else.

hiya!! can i ask what your blog title “bob, glob, and mr. chamberlain” refers to? 👀
hahahahahhaha yes you can!!! it's these three fine fellows that were given to me by my parents for christmas!!
the wooden/painted one is Bob, the gold one is Glob, and the little stone one is Mr. Chamberlain :)
why do they have these names, you ask? well,
i got the idea in my head that i should name them after racehorses. not for the fast-slow irony, just because racehorse names are pretty buckwild.
now, here's where the podcast MBMBaM comes in. they have a deeply ironic obsession with horses. they talk about the kentucky derby quite often. and one year, the horse that won the derby was named Orb. they became obsessed with this fact, as we all should be tbh. hold that thought in one hand.
as i was listing horse names, i remembered some names that the McElroy brothers (mbmbam hosts) had come up with. these included Uncle Honey, Buttermane, and Mr. Chamberlain. hold that thought in your other hand.
after i got the snails, i asked my siblings and parents for name suggestions. i was becoming obsessed with "orb" as a name for a snail, but i knew i wanted my three little guys to be somewhat of a set. my mom started suggesting names in categories (e.g., Mack, Peterbilt, and Kenworth), and one of these sets of names was Bob, Glob, and Rob. at that point, one of my brothers suggested two short names and a long one. almost immediately, i was enamored, and here comes the moment where you smash the first two thoughts into the current one, to create the final set:
Bob, Glob, and Mr. Chamberlain. "Orb" isn't in the mix, but i felt like bob and glob carried the spirit of "orb" somehow. and once i had the names, it was pretty intuitive which snail needed which name. thank you for coming to my SnedTalk (snail tedtalk)

Hola, konnichiwa, and other greetings. I’m on a walk and ended up here. Not a really serious question, and pretty weird, but I like asking these things to see the outcome.
How would the ROs react to a MC who chose only a chair to fight? Out of all weapons they can choose, out of any magical doohickey or clever scheme, they ignore the most obvious choice of weapon and hit the enemy over the head with a chair.
Florian: He's known you since childhood; he's come to expect and be amused by your nonsense.
Marcella: Same as Florian, except she would grab a chair and join in.
E: They've known you since childhood, and they're consistently exasperated by you.
Ari: She'd be confused at first, and would then provide backup so you don't get yourself killed. Expect a firm talking to after the fight.
Dimitri: You worry him so often that he's almost certain he's going to get ulcers from knowing you. He frets at you afterward.
Julian: He's highly amused and cheers you on. Seeing how pissed your opponents get makes his day.
Orion: He will confiscate the chair, sit you in the corner, and then take care of the fighting.
Rowan: They call you a dumbass afterward, but they're laughing. That's a huge win, seeing as Rowan almost never laughs.
Kira: She'll light the chair on fire for you, so now you're throwing a flaming chair. She's an enabler of chaos, so she approves.
Cier: He's also an enabler of chaos, and will hand you more chairs to throw while he lounges and enjoys the show.
Ilaria: Before you can fight with the chair, your enemy is already dead courtesy of her. From the look on her face, you might be next.

Ezrah: Who do you think taught you to fight with a chair in the first place? Him, of course.
