was thinking about next-gen kids and decided to doodle a couple. elaborated thoughts below:
Iphis is named with the same naming conventions that Sally used when naming Percy - primarily, mythological figure who had a good fate. Nice for Percy to honor his mom by naming his own kid the same way and Annabeth gets a fun nerdy mythology name. Also sending good vibes to their kid. Plus middle name directly in honor of Sally, of course.
Specific myth is Iphis and Ianthe, with the idea that a.) it's gender-neutral so works regardless of kid's gender and b.) not only does Iphis have a good fate, but arguably nothing bad happens to them ever and they get helped out by like three whole pantheons who show up in a literal parade and they live happily ever after. Percy and Annabeth are pushing for the BEST vibes possible.
(Also I am a very strong proponent of the "I don't think they'd name their kids after dead family/friends" so none of them have that)
Iphis of course inherited the Jackson family early grey hairs <3
Virginia is named after Juniper (cause Juniper is specifically implied to be Juniperus virginiana). She's probably been childhood bffs with Iphis since Iphis was born.
Chuck is Chuck. I gave him a Yankees jersey cause you know he's being raised as a sporty kid.
Do you ever think about how OP Frank and Hazel's kid would be. It's ridiculous. Quadruple legacy, including 2/3 of the Big Three. Frank by himself was already so OP the gods had to nerf him. Hazel came back from the dead and Frank kinda just said "nope" to dying that one time. Hazel presumably has every power that Nico has which is. A lot. Not to mention what Hazel has been shown to just be able to do on her own (including but not limited to SINKING AN ENTIRE SMALL ISLAND). Ares/Mars kids can functionally be completely invulnerable sometimes and also have some limited necromancy. Combo that with Hades/Pluto kids also being hard to kill and having necromancy as one of their main powers. Not to mention how Pluto geokinesis might combo with Chloris (goddess of spring) powers? And this kid is 100% being protected by both Nico (who is probably a deity by that point) and probably Pluto himself as well? Hello?
Anyways Hazel and Frank's kid is a total powerhouse. Possibly functionally immortal. Easily strongest demigod of her generation.
I like to think the latent Chloris legacy would crop up (probably in combo with Mars and Poseidon's plant aspects) and give them an accidental Persephone-type theme and that's fun. Frazel's goth daughter who takes after her grandmother (and uncle).
Figured since Frank is Canadian and Hazel is from Louisiana they'd go for a French name. The flower theme was not intentional on their part it just happened. Law of demigod naming conventions appears nonetheless.
I figure Leo might not have kids of his own but he probably still hangs around with Hazel and Frank so of course he's going to make their kid a cool thematic robot pet. He's probably her godfather or something.
Ronan is literally just some kid who showed up at the Chase Space who coincidentally was a legacy of Freyr and could shapeshift. Magnus and Alex obviously can't have kids cause they're dead, BUT some orphan with essentially a combo of their powers just shows up on their doorstep? Their kid now.
The ironic part is of course their shapeshifting powers just happen to be because they're distantly related to one of Annabeth's friends. Ronan finds himself suddenly gaining two parents and two cousins (Iphis and Lily) in rapid succession.
He only picks up Magnus' last name though cause Alex has 100% disowned her mortal parents.
He has a seal flipper cause shapeshifting and apparently "Ronan" means seal. I just wanted to draw those two showcasing their shapeshifting a lil bit.
Might try to doodle the other next-gen kid thoughts I had at some point but idk when. anyways yeah.

Mother Ocean: Fjord And The Mighty Nein.
In anticipation of the upcoming animated series, let's talk about Fjord.
One thing that I cannot stress enough...that I cannot stress enough...is how goddamned consistently Freudian Fjord's story accidentally turned out.
Let's take a look at that, shall we? We'll start with a comparison between Fjord and his Campaign One counterpart.
Fjord and Grog
Now as different as they seem, Fjord and Grog's stories have at least one big theme in common. The low-key rejection of toxic masculinity.
In Grog's story, it's less subtle, but in Fjord's, it's more prevalent.
Grog was the runt of his Herd. When he spared Wilhand Trickfoot, a much smaller and physically weaker man Kevdak saw as worthless, he was beaten and left for dead. Later, it's only with the help of his friends (and specifically a gnome, which I always thought was rather poetic) that Grog could take his uncle down.
Fjord is a half-orc who is unusually lacking in strength. A man who grew up in a world where survival was predicated on a tough façade, and he finds it in the voice and manners of his missing captain and father figure because, as he says, when Vandran talked, people listened. Not only that, but he also gained a Warlock patron who pushed him deeper and more desperately into the act.
But that's only the first part of his story. When he throws away his pact weapon and, with it, his false affectation, another power becomes available to him.
But he's only able to do that because of the influence of the Nein and what they'd been through together up to that point.
Gender Dynamics in The Mighty Nein.
It really can't be overstated how much of a positive influence the Mighty Nein were on each other. Travis has said on Talks that part of the turning point for Fjord was Beau running back to get him during the King's Cage. Fjord was always frantic not to be a liability. But the Mighty Nein always had his back: when the Shepherds abducted him, Yasha, and Jester, and when they were trying to escape from the Laughing Hand alongside a possessed Yasha. And they still did even after that last pushed him to throw away his powers.
But even before that: traveling with the Nein Fjord was granted something just as significant. If much more ephemeral.
Caleb is physically weak, soft-spoken, and secretive; but brilliant, tactical, and highly destructive. Mollymauk is flamboyant, shameless, and genderfluid, no stranger to pain and no slouch in a fight. Cad is introspective, slow to anger, and a little spacey but willing to do grim work.
In other words, none of the men are traditionally masculine, but they all repeatedly prove themselves useful, both in and out of battle.
It doesn't stop with the boys, either. Jester is probably the most traditionally feminine of the women. She's also willful, clever, not afraid to speak her mind, and the second most physically powerful of the group. Yasha is, among other things, a brutal powerhouse who takes absolutely no shit and is endearingly awkward to boot. Nott is tactless, self-interested, and unsophisticated but in no way dumb. And Beau is...well, Beau. She's crass, blunt, always horny on main, and only needs her fists to beat your ass.
The women, as a whole, are partly traditionally feminine at best. Yet, like the boys, all of them can pull their weight in and out of a fight.
This might've served as a revelation to Fjord. Who, like Grog, by all indications, came from a world where an untraditionally masculine man would've been derided as useless at best.
This, plus the contrast between Avantika's zealous worship of Uk'otoa and Caduceus' calm surety in his reverence for the Wild Mother is a big part of what allows Fjord to see another way forward for himself.
It makes Fjord's story that of a man looking too hard for his identity in the typically, stringently, and unhealthily masculine, unable to recognize that what he was looking for could be found by tapping into what he would consider his more feminine side. And this makes obvious sense in hindsight, as the sea is a hugely feminine symbol, and the sea was Fjord's first true joy and escape.
The Freudian stuff.
So we've got a an orphan who came from a background where traditional and even toxic masculinity to the exclusion of the traditionally feminine was regarded as the norm, who in trying to reunite with a found father figure fell into the trap of a sea monster demi-god that exploits that in order to be freed, who learns from his fellow travelers that there are other ways of being that would still allow him to contribute to the group. This leads him to break away from his upbringing and his Patron's influence to embrace the Wild Mother, a nature goddess that ties both into his love of the sea and his status as a man who never knew his mother. And she is a better fit and a better patron for him and just in general than Uk'otoa could ever be.
All of that is already a pretty thematically consistent storyline. But then, when we get to the Freudian B. S., the knob goes to eleven. And then pops off.
Our boy is a hexblade (texblade) warlock with a sword for a pact weapon, and his patron is an immeasurably massive sea serpent that comes to him in, well, the cast joked about it: wet dreams.
Now come on. You can't get any more phallic than that unless you're Jester.
As the Nein travel, Fjord becomes a darker, more provocative presence the longer he travels on his patron's pilgrimage. But when Fjord refuses to open the last seal, Uk'otoa gets pissy. He repeatedly rescinds Fjord's abilities, leaving him and the Mighty Nein vulnerable. Fortunately for Fjord, another entity steps in with an offer.
The Wild Mother.
After Fjord has so long chased after fathers and corruptive masculine coded influences connected to them, he is given relief and eventually power from a goddess. Whose epitaph is the Wild Mother? Who is the goddess of the sea, which is the center of Fjord's life?
But I'm not done yet. If you look at the accidental symbolism inherent to the nature of the godly figures involved here, it goes deeper than that.
Uk'otoa is trying to exert control over the Wild Mother's domain. Specifically over the ocean, one of the most recognizable yonic symbols in our collective thematic history. The Wild Mother, after she pulls Fjord free from Uk'otoa's nightmare and into her dream ocean, even calls the space a womb.
So we have an orphan who found a father figure. In trying to reunite with him, he follows in his footsteps and, as Vandran did, falls under the sway of the same snake: a violent, unwanted invader of the womb of a nature goddess called the Wild Mother. That pushed Fjord deeper under his mask of toxic masculine traits.
And this journey he takes, in which he slowly drops that mask, sees Fjord realigning his loyalty, from the phallic victimizer, to the goddess whose yonic space was the target of its attempted subjugation.
To sum it up, we have a story of an orphan sailor who slowly learns to walk away from his unhealthy relationship with masculinity, which is thematically supported by the influence of his less-than-traditionally presenting fellow travelers and his abandoning an abusive and incredibly masculine-coded patron in favor of a divine figure that is not only, in contrast, a goddess but a mother goddess of the sea at that. This is then also supported by the Freudian symbolism inherent in his pact weapon, the form of his patron, the territory it is attempting to invade to rule, and the nature of the goddess who adopts him into her service.
The fact that Fjord and Vandran were both physically intimate with the same woman was just the cherry on top of the Freudian Sunday, my dudes.
Also, note how big of an accident all this was. If Molly hadn't gone down so early, Taliesin would've never made Cad, and there's a big chance the Wild Mother never would've entered the story. And all this symbolism never would've lined up so perfectly.
(Though, if Molly had lived and a similar thing had gone down with the Moonweaver, it's worthwhile to note there would've been a familiar thematic lineup, as the moon has its own connection to the tides, the sea, and feminine energy. The same themes wouldn't have been as perfect or overt, but they would've been there.)
It's fucking bananas.
Edited for clarity and less redundancy.

If all of the versions of Mikey fight who would win?
Hmmm-! Another interesting question!! Let me think here for a moment.....
Okay so as I've stated before we're gonna have to think about the Mikey's and their differences in skills and experience.
1987 Mikey is a pretty skilled ninja, though he prefers to party and eat pizza more than fighting. However that doesn't mean he's not a skilled warrior considering that he was trained by Splinter. 87 Mikey can be rather creative when it comes to his attacks and when he really puts his mind to it he's a pretty difficult opponent even with his training not being in effect for very long. He's also pretty damn strong and that would help him out quite a bit in a fight.
Now 2003 Mikey is also pretty laid back and would rather be partying or eating pizza but he too isn't someone to be taken lightly. 2003 Mikey is incredibly skilled and incredibly strong too which is an advantage in fights. Not to mention that he's also pretty clever when he needs to be so he'd definitely be unpredictable in the grand scheme. Not to mention that he's been training for a good while and he's participated in the Grand Nexus battle which only the strongest warriors can complete in and he won it.
2012 Mikey as I've stated previously in the last ask is a ninja prodigy and he's hella skilled in his own right. 2012 Mikey is pretty quick and agile and his technique is a mixture of a bunch of different fighting styles making him again an unpredictable wild card to opponents around him. Added with his experiences and training he's a pretty formidable opponent.
Bayverse Mikey is pretty skilled as well. He's not as quick as the others but what he lacks in speed and agility he makes up for in ingenuity and strength. Bayverse Mikey is a powerhouse and can adapt pretty quickly once he gets his focus on and actually puts in the effort if he really wants to. Plus his strength would take an opponent by surprise because they wouldn't be expecting Bayverse Mikey to actually move in a strong and striking way due to him not being quite as quick as the other Mikey's. Plus given that his training was from a How To book his skills may not be completely up to the ninjutsu standards however experience in fights and learning first hand gives him an edge that the others might lack in the grand scheme of things.
Rise Mikey oh boy this kid is super wild in his own way. Much like the 2012 Mikey, Rise Mikey is a wild card himself and unpredictable when it comes to fights. Added with his speed and agility and energetic movements it would make it incredibly hard for an opponent to actually get their hands on him. Not to mention his own mystical abilities which literally involve his nunchakus bursting into flames and his chains being able to hold mystic beings in place. Rise Mikey while not having a lot of training is still highly skilled in his own right and like his 2012 counterpart he's a budding prodigy in the ways of mystics and ninjutsu.
Given that they all have strong assets as well as different types of fighting styles and methods whenever they do fight I'm gonna have to go with Rise Mikey and 2012 Mikey, seeing as how they might stand more of a chance against their 87 and 2003 and Bayverse counterparts in some fights given that they're quick and agile and highly unpredictable when they're in an actual fight.
However that doesn't mean that 2003 Mikey and 87 Mikey couldn't beat them in a fight as well given their strength and own abilities of learning pretty quickly. I believe that once they'd gotten the basics of the 2012 Mikey and Rise Mikey's abilities and techniques down they'd most definitely give the two a run for their money. And Bayverse Mikey would definitely become a challenge for the two once he adapted to their quick movements and somewhat unhinged fighting styles.
At least that's how I see it, anyone else is completely welcome to put their inputs into the ring.

"ERM BUT IF HS HAD TAUGHT YOU ABOUT FINANCES & TAXES Y'ALL WOULDN'T HAVE LISTENED" Okay ?
First of, in HS plenty of people either have been working or are gonna get their first job soon, so it'd actually he relevant to them [cause a lot of kids don't listen cause to them its pointless cause they don't know why they need it]
Second, imo that shouldn't matter ? Plenty of kids WOULD listen & people always joke about things they remember from HS/middle school [like the a²+b²=c², mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell, etc etc].
If financial literacy was taught along w/ taxes & shit, plenty of kids would listen & properly absorb it, but others would would subconsciously remember bits & pieces of it, which would still be leagues better than not being taught this stuff at all & having to figure it out on your own. [Plus if it was taught in schools, there would be a fuckton more of quizlets, kahoots, easy to download & understand textbooks, etc regarding financial literacy/taxes so if someone genuinely didn't pay a lick of attention & forgot 100% of it, then they'd still have way easier access than they do now ?].
I just think that's a dumb argument. Cause sure some people wouldn't have listened. A lot of kids don't listen in sex ed but it's still important to be taught. But also plenty of people DO listen & WOULD remember & benefit.
Also that logic can go for anything "Why is school even a thing it's not like kids are paying attention" like cause it's important for them to learn & also just cause you or kids at your school didn't pay attention doesn't mean all kids are like that tf

Part 38
Tumblr media
After a hasty midnight conversation, Snow White and Christopher decided it was time to move to a bigger, less isolated place.
Tumblr media
Snow White still didn't trust herself to be around people, but the house was unbearably crowded. And the kids tended to get tense, cooped up together with no one but the same old faces! Plus, Chris had promised he was close to a cure...
Tumblr media
Snow figured that as long as she stuck to him, and never left the house, everything would be ok. Though it was strange to be the problem instead of Delana. But now that her step-mother had tracked her down and done her worse, she'd become much less of a concern.
Tumblr media
More concerning, they'd only just barely scraped together enough for the bigger building. Things were going to be extra tight for a while...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
At least the views were nice!
Tumblr media
As a "welcome home" gift Patchy the Scarecrow scared the living bejeebus out of both Thyme and the benevolent god!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When he realised how the prank had come across, Patchy quickly reassured the child. Thyme caught on and forgave Patchy a lot quicker than the benevolent god did.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Apple adjusted quickly to the move, and even comforted his baby sister while their parents took the other toddlers upstairs.
Tumblr media
Ah, sibling affection.
Tumblr media
In the new house, Apple and Strawberry got a room to themselves in a renovated shed.
Tumblr media
Sage and Thyme on the other hand... well, at least they were deep sleepers.
Tumblr media
The youngest, Lark, was very obviously the biggest troublemaker of the new trio!
Tumblr media
And unlike the previous duo, she didn't wait for any turned backs.
Tumblr media
This was the first child Snow White had actually seen get up to mischief, and she was sure a little extra love and care would do the trick!
Tumblr media
It did not. She spent the next 4 hours just alternating between firmly telling Lark not to make a mess, cleaning the mess, telling Lark not to make a mess, cleaning the mess, telling Lark-
Tumblr media
Eventually Snow changed tactics to distraction: story time!
Tumblr media
And the second the story finished....
Tumblr media
Maybe some group toilet training would keep her occupied! ..... nope, Lark set records for fastest toddler toilet in sims history! In this case, the benevolent god actually wished more toddlers were like Lark. It was so unbelievably fast!
Tumblr media
At least she eventually got bored of the messes on her own.
Tumblr media
Luckily for Snow, Oak was a huge sweetheart who never got into trouble ever and for some reason learned to talk almost immediately.
Tumblr media
Moss on the other hand was a little powerhouse, who could spend hours just mightily lifting and closing the toy chest lid. And he definitely had a preferred toy. But he couldn't quite grasp communication.
Tumblr media
That left Lark and Oak for the good cop bad cop interrogation....
Tumblr media
Thank plumbob the older kids could handle themselves, and were responsible to boot!
Tumblr media
Chris hadn't even met the cat yet, he was so busy! He loved his job, but he also wished he got more time to be the dad he loved being. At least the kids could look after themselves until then!
Tumblr media
.....oh no, they're having a dance party plotting session.
Bonus
Tumblr media
Dude.... no. No matter how badly Snow White wants to, we physically cannot.

☂ aksel & dylan
send me ☂ + a ship, and I’ll tell you who...
yells at the other for leaving wet towels on the bed.
dylan. i don't want to say he yells because he doesn't seem like a yeller over that kind of thing, but aksel is the worst about leaving her wet towels on the bed, especially the one she uses to wrap her hair up in after a shower. she'll just mindlessly toss them with the intention to pick them up, but alas. it happens and luckily, he's there to scoop it up.
whines when the other forgets what they wanted after going grocery shopping.
aksel. first off, does she really need an excuse to whine about something? and her version of whining is far more bitter than most. she will absolutely be dramatic about it until she's satisfied that he's paid his dues. is it petty? yes. is it kind of fun for her? also yes.
leaves five half drank bottles of water in their room.
aksel. she's a powerhouse of a woman and is very business oriented and has laser focus... but that's the problem. she puts all of that focus into getting the job done and then she forgets almost everything else. so, she has a nasty habit of being far too busy to keep up with where she's been or what she's doing outside of whatever business fire she's putting our for her brothers or father. so she does have a bad habit of grabbing a water (though let's be real, sometimes it's wine bottles or something overpriced) and leaving it to sit because she forgot about it.
initiates a quickie while at somewhere they shouldn’t.
both? this feels like a cheat, but it depends on the day and where they are? no doubt that dylan would be the one to initiate a quickie if it's in spite of the family business or if it's before some fancy dinner that he's not excited for. though, the same could be said for her when she visits his side of things. if there's something she doesn't want to do, or if she's feeling frisky, she'll initiate a quickie, even if it means they have to be careful. risk vs. reward for her and the unfortunate thing is that she'll always think it's worth it.
surprises the other with their favorite fast food for dinner.
dylan. it's not that aksel isn't thoughtful enough, but he just seems so much more like the caretaker in their relationship and aksel has never really had that? she was basically raised by a different nanny every year and never really had a chance to feel as if someone was genuinely taking care of her because they wanted to and it seems like with the whole family dynamic of "we do things for each other and we help out no matter what" kind of thing, he'd be the one to surprise her with fast food. plus, she doesn't do fast food on her own, so it would definitely take him being like 'it's okay' for her to make the jump.
is massively hungover after celebrating their anniversary.
dylan. only because aksel took the appropriate steps to avoid a hangover come morning time and even then, she's still got a bit of a hangover, but it's definitely dylan that's battling for his life come morning.
argues for double stuffed Oreos over regular.
aksel. she doesn't even really like oreos that much, but she is a firm believer that double stuffed is the only way to go because it's the only way to guarantee that both sides of the cookie get enough filling because yes, obviously she has to take them apart because why would she eat them together?
buys $200 worth of baby things after finding out they’re expecting.
dylan. only because aksel would have a hard time connecting to the fact that it's their reality. she never planned to be a mother and it would take her a little bit more time to adjust to the thought? whereas, dylan seems like he'd want to over-prepare for what's to come and seeing as he's close with his family, it also seems like something they'd all want to do? by comparison, her family would question if she even wants to have a baby. she'd come around though, and then it would be a major hit to her bank account because their baby would have everything under the sun.
insists that they each get their own popcorn at the cinema.
aksel. she likes to put chocolate in her popcorn, so it can get kind of messy. she's also not big on sharing. she grew up with a lot of brothers. they shared everything and now she wants a little something to herself. she'll offer him a few bites of her sweet and salty mix up, but he definitely has to get his own popcorn if he wants more than a couple of bites.

AIS! I know ur a One Piece fan, so I have to ask.. what do you think of the recent reveal of Luffy's true devil fruit power???? Joyboy??? I love One Piece so much, I have no one to talk to about it! Pls tell me ur thoughts XD
Hi! Sorry I took so long to reply!
***WARNING WARNING SPOILERS FOR ONE PIECE IF YOU KEEP READING - IMMA RAMBLE BROS I will put behind a cut just in case though***
((Oops I put the cut too far down first))
I'm so excited - it's so cool! So, when Joyboy was first brought up, I didn't know enough immediately about it. But after we got a little info, tbh my first thought was, "Oh so Luffy's probably Joyboy?"
I'd have to go back and look but I think especially around the time they were at Fishman Island - especially with all the stuff that was going on with Shirahoshi, and then Luffy having the voice, and all that.
We knew Luffy could hear voices others couldn't for a bit there, I think -- or maybe that's where it first popped up? But Roger could hear the voice of all things, or whatever it was called, as evidenced by the Poneglyph info inscribed in Skypiea that Robin translated back then. I can't remember where, but I feel like at some point it was implied Joyboy maybe could too? Not sure.
Also, with the way Luffy can bring people to him, kind of like he's a boat through an ocean and the current pulls such disparate people together into his wake, it made sense.
So recently, with all the stuff going on, when it was clear Luffy was working his ass off but he's still up against a major fucking powerhouse, as things were getting worse and we were seeing all the stuff going on with CP0, I was thinking - maybe Luffy will be severely injured or basically die, and then in coming back he'll Awaken.
I'd figured for awhile now he'd end up Awakening at some point - that made sense, with everything going on. And I figured it'd be pretty cool.
So Luffy confirmed as Joyboy, I was happy and excited to see but wasn't super surprised because I figured that was a given for awhile. However, WHAT Joyboy is, was something I didn't expect. And I 100% did NOT see the devil fruit thing coming!!!!!!! I fucking love how I can follow this series for like 20 years or whatever and still end up surprised by things, even when other things I can see coming from hints in the past - and how even if something I thought might happen does happen, it's still so fun to see it confirmed.
Fucking Oda is such a storytelling genius, istg *_*
I do have to say - I absolutely love OP, of course, but the past couple of years I've managed to be behind on the latest chapters by like a week or two. It's solely because of the way this shit is set up now that they closed down the main scanlation sites. I get that they don't want piracy etc etc but it seems to presume that people don't also buy the official shit even if they read scanlations. Not the case for me at all. I am subscribed to the SJ things so I can support weekly, I buy a shit ton of OP stuff, and I USED to always be caught up on the officially released English manga too. Only reason I'm behind on those (and why I don't want just the "official" versions online) is because I'm still super fucking salty about them calling Zoro fucking Zolo. I goddamn hate it lmao It drives me nuts so bad. When I buy the books, I physically change every l to an r and it's a pain in the ass so I've gotten to be like - fuck it, fuck them and their dumbass Zolo bullshit, I don't have the patience to change that everywhere UGH. I wish they'd release an alternate version with everything written as Zoro even if we have to pay extra or something. I would do it. idgaf. Also I have always liked having multiple translations since I'm not reading the original, so I like seeing how the wording changes across translators for different things. Plus the fact that the official version fucking calls Marines the "Navy" is irritating too. And I think the English says Dogtooth right? But I like his name as Karakuri more. I also like to go back and reread chapters, and they make it difficult to do so which I find annoying as well. (I will, of course, acknowledge though that I appreciate that Stephen is the translator - I'm glad we have someone on the official translator team who truly gives a shit about the series, and has for decades, and was one of the original fan translators back in the day. I just find it annoying that he has to make stupid ass alterations like Zoro's name because the company has the dumbest rules on that stuff, and since he's employed with them he has to follow those rules rather than being able to be fully accurate in translations. Salty salty salty I'm as salty as the East Blue lmao)
So, again, I'd like there to be a better system for the original shit, and it has become a thing where it takes me all this extra time to sit down and read the latest - I can't just skim through it like I used to be able to do. So I get a bit salty and have to set time aside, because I love OP and want to actually pay attention to it, focus on the story, see it properly on my screen, etc.
That's all to say that it's managed to take some of my weekly excitement away from OP, which really sucks man. I used to look forward to it every week, and now I sometimes forget to read it that week.
It's NOTHING to do with the series itself or the story though - I continue to love tf out of it <3
Anyway so I got on a tangent there (sorry lol) but I thought of it because I just realized I hadn't read the latest chapter (1047) so I wanted to check it in case I needed to add anything. In case you haven't read that chapter, I won't say anything about it.
But!! I did want to jump back a little in the current storyline, before we got all the Joyboy confirmation. To Zoro.
Wait, before that -- DUDE THE NIKA THING IS SO COOL!!!!! And I fucking love how the Awakening works. It is constantly cracking me up XD I love how the Five Elders were all serious like, "that devil fruit is the most ridiculous power in the world!" or something like that. And since they were so srsface I wondered if they meant that colloquially, like it's just super badass. But no, they mean it's actually ridiculous XD I fucking love it. I LOVE how it's turning everything around him into like an old American-type cartoon hahaha
And it's so cool the things he can do now! Also I super want to see this animated - they keep having his heartbeat be referenced, and it's been in the background SFX, so I'm hoping it'll sound really cool like an upbeat song or something when they animate it.
I'm way behind on the anime though - need to get caught up eventually.
Oh! Also, I love that Zunesha (the elephant) was talking to Momo, and it felt like maybe Zunesha was coming a little back to life? Like Zunesha seemed happy - which makes sense, since they've been punished to carry Zou on their back for punishment of some unspecified crime in the past, and they were affiliated with Joyboy 800 years ago. Those sunken eyes just make them seem so exhausted and half-dead, so it feels so nice to know they're getting a little bit of a break from their kind of living death. idk yet how it all will go, what it all will mean exactly, but I'm so interested in it - especially with Zunesha right there, it feels like something cool could happen.
Also I just love Zunesha regardless <3
The new devil fruit power and just everything around it fits Luffy really well, I think, so it's cool to see that his upgrade comes with such a bombshell of narrative connections too!
Again, can't wait to see animated.
Now back to Zoro - so he looked like he was basically almost dead, if not worse, and that's why one of the crew (I think it's Franky?) is running around trying to get him to Chopper to save him.
Before he was grabbed, but after he collapsed after his fight and winning it, we saw what looked like a Grim Reaper standing over Zoro, right? And Zoro was using Enma, the sword, as part of his arsenal.
Enma is a fucking powerful sword, said to be able to "cut through to the bottom of hell" - which makes sense, since in Japanese mythology (along with Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese mythologies and Buddhist, Hinduism, Taoism -- and more), Enma is the master of hell/the king. He's a deity and I've seen some things say he has the power to judge crimes committed by the dead while they were alive. Enma's also called Yama and other names - and in some versions he's seen as the human ancestor because humans were born from him (and his sister -_-) - and he is the king of death since he was the first human to die. Also, in Japanese Buddhism at least - idk enough about the variations to know about others - he's believed to be able to travel back and forth between Hell and the Pure Land. Pure Land is Jodo in Japanese Buddhism.
As opposed to Edo (a land with impurities or defiled land) where humans tie themselves up to be caught in delusions, Jodo is a land where basically Buddha resides. It's a place that is pure and clean and the legitimate land of Buddha. In some thoughts, it's not in our world - it's built in another world, and people only go there when their life ends. Another thought is that instead of going to another world (Jodo), our world will shift to Jodo.
Either way, for Buddhism, it's basically a place free from impurities and is where Buddha resides.
Zoro's powers have Buddhist references and he fits within the realm of it really well - in writing this I ran across this post below on tumblr. I don't know the person or their tumblr at all, but this has some good info on parallels to Zoro and references to Buddhism, done far better than I would've here.
There's more of course - I'm by absolutely no means an expert; I just know a little bit from reading about it.
Anyway though, I'm wondering what the significance will be of the reaper figure, Zoro essentially seeming to basically die right now or be close, and more. I'm wondering if the reaper was an embodiment of Enma the sword, or Enma himself or some variation of a messenger of his from Hell? I'm wondering if this will be Zoro's version of an Awakening - either now, or the foundation being set to happen in the future. I'm wondering, if that ends up being the case, whether this means he will lean more toward the Hell side of things, or if this will be a turning point of him going more toward releasing himself from impurities and eventually achieving accessibility to Jodo. Like, could he have gone there now? Could his spirit have gone to Hell with Enma? Will he be able to channel Hell of some sort? Perhaps Enma is showing him that there's a way to transcend it all?
Wouldn't it be cool if Zoro gained the ability to visit with souls of the dead in some way, or gain information from Hell or who knows, Jodo, if that's even possible? If that ever happened, wouldn't it be cool if something could be combined with Brook's powers in an attack channeling the iciness of death with the Buddhist aspects of Hell or enlightenment?
In order to become truly the greatest swordsman in the world, in order to bring about a unified and happy world as Luffy wishes as the Pirate King, right now, with my very limited understanding of the mythologies involved, it seems to me that MAYBE the next step in Zoro's future improvement and power will be something to do with him becoming closer to Jodo.
Like, I'm wondering if he'll shift more toward, or more away from, the way he's been - outlined more in that linked post above, but someone who's powerful, who isn't affiliated with the gods of any sort, who exhibits many great qualities like loyalty, honor, etc - but who also exhibits potentially violent or dangerous qualities. For example, as they referenced, the time he split a boat in two because he got on the wrong boat. I'm wondering if he will be aiming more toward addressing those reactions of his, and therefore honing even more his sword skills, to be able to achieve a higher power of Enlightenment, and through that maybe become someone who, like Enma, can transverse the realms? I think of it in terms of comparison to Mihawk. Mihawk also does things like just destroy a boat because he woke up from a nap and felt like it. In order for Zoro to become truly the greatest swordsman in the world, he ultimately has to surpass Mihawk. And with my limited knowledge, it seems to me that Mihawk has achieved the peak of what is achievable on the path he took in Buddhism terms, and so in order to surpass him, Zoro must learn to accept a different, greater path. One that perhaps causes him to accept things he hasn't accepted.
In writing this, I was checking for something related to Zoro and Buddhism and whether an Ashura can ever become someone who can visit Jodo or however it's best worded -- and I ran across this reddit post about Zoro, Buddhism, and his God Mode. Like the previous link, I haven't read the entire thing, and I don't know the person who posted it at all, nor do I know nearly enough about Buddhism to assess the information provided. But, it's basically a way more eloquent way of explaining what I've been wondering about Zoro's situation and potential future improvements.
I also saw they linked a YouTube video if you'd rather watch that or watch it in addition:
youtube
So, from the parts I saw skimming these things, I think it's explaining what I was thinking could be something going on potentially - and sort of what I've been thinking of his own Buddhist non-DF version of Awakening.
Also, since the time skip, I've been thinking that his left eye probably hides some power or something on his eyeball which indicates an upgrade or something specific. He could, of course, have just lost the eye or be blind in it; but I have been feeling like it'll be something else. I saw this comment which is in line with what I was thinking btu also referenced something I'd completely forgotten:
Tumblr media
By the way, have you seen my theory about the 3 weapons and Red Line? And the World Government's flag? And what One Piece really is? I've had it for years now and idk if it'll end up being the case or not but I feel like it could make sense. At the very least it's fun to think about.
I think I went into it at some point in the past - if I find it, I'll link it here. (UGH I can't find it) Oh but now we have the info on Lunarians via King which adds to it even more imo.
lmk if you want me to go into that whole theory or whatever though. I guess if I didn't have it written down already I should do it sometime. istg I wrote it out though...
Anyway! Sorry for all the rambling about One Piece! Hope you don't mind! And what are your thoughts on the new DF info, Joyboy, all of that? If you reply in asks as anon you can just start the first one with **ONE PIECE SPOILERS** or something and then if you end up writing multiple posts I can throw them all into one. But no worries if you don't reply, or decide not to go in depth or whatever! Or of course we can also talk elsewhere on OP stuff, but you'd have to go away from being anon, and that is 100% up to you. I am perfectly happy either way, so do what makes you happiest :)
Hope you have a good day/morning/evening/night, whatever it is for you wherever you are in the world!
Go One Piece!
Tumblr media
PS: I know I ended up going way more on about Zoro and Buddhism and Enma and the like than the Sun God stuff - I just hadn't had a chance to go in on my Zoro theory/thoughts so this got me excited to do so. If I should talk more about Nika etc lmk! There are some really cool connections with all that.
Also, if it did turn out Zoro goes the way of Hell fully in his powers, then he could represent the darkness/underworld and Luffy would represent the sun/sky, so they'd be a great team together.
Also also, part of my whole One Piece/Red Line/etc theory is in regards to the three great weapons. Now that Luffy is explicitly linked to the sky, I'm starting to wonder if he'll be the third Ancient Weapon himself. I had thought it was going to be something else, maybe from the moon - which still seems probable? Depending on if it's possible to be both Nika and the weapon, or if Nika is the weapon. idk yet - I haven't done enough research on the whole Nika thing.
I'm talking about Uranus btw - especially since the World Government forbid research onto the topic, and now we know that they also have been governing the "gomu gomu no mi" to the point of giving it that fake name, and they thought what Luffy could become was dangerous enough to interfere and try to kill him.... it does seem more and more possible as I'm thinking on it that Luffy could be Uranus. Maybe. Since Shirahoshi is Neptune, we do know the Ancient Weapons can be living beings, but of course Pluton is a ship.
Uranus is the personification of the sky though (or of the heavens), so it could fit to an extent with the Sun God, and with the WG being so hard on trying to take down any chances of a new Joyboy appearing.
On the other hand, the actual mythology of Uranus doesn't fit Luffy's personality at all. And since Uranus had the capability to change the weather or mimic things, that seems to fit more with Nami's powers - which could mean the Ancient Weapon is instead tied into the sky wizards she was learning from, or where they initially got their info.
I do, though, still think it's going to come from the moon tbh and probably NOT be Luffy himself. I could be wrong; it just feels like it fits well. The moon is not only in the heavens, of a sort, but it would tie in with Enel, the whole side story of him up on the moon, those little dudes up there, and now that we have King, the Lunarians as well and their almost godlike powers. Maybe he is Uranus instead, maybe he knows information that leads to it, maybe something else.
It's fun to not know for certain even at this point, and to be able to speculate different theories even using the same information.
Thank you for asking about OP - it made me happy to ramble about it :)

On Livewire
You know Leslie is probably the most popular and well known female Superman Rogue mainly because they use her so heavily in outside media.
Tumblr media
Which makes sense given her debut in Superman: The Animated Series, but it still kind of fascinates me. They didn't bring her into comics continuity until 2006 apparently, with Gail Simone and John Byrne (Byrne of all the creators!) being the ones to finally fold her in. Even after they brought her in, they still have never given her that much attention or focus which is a disappointment for me frankly, because Livewire is honestly fantastic in Scott McCloud and later Mark Millar's Superman Adventures runs, and I would say with complete sincerity that those two are probably her best writers. "Millar writing a female character well?" you scoff at in disbelief. I know, I was shocked too! But she's funny, clever, and a huge pain in the ass for Supes. Reading how she was used there, and rewatching her STAS incarnation recently, really made a big realization for the character hit me like a lightning bolt (couldn't resist):
Tumblr media
She's basically an evil superpowered Lois Lane! I know I can't have been the first one to realize that, although I haven't seen anyone else actually outright state it anywhere, but c'mon it's so obvious! She's a reporter of a sorts as well thanks to being a disc jockey, her debut in STAS even has her interviewing Lois and Clark! She's got strong opinions on Superman that conflict with the general opinion about him (Lois being pro-Superman when everyone else is more hostile towards him at first, Livewire being anti-Superman when everyone else has embraced him as their hero). She's rude and abrasive, and doesn't care if her opinions offend people, which sure does remind me of Lois at her meanest.
Livewire to me is an examination of what Lois would be like if she abandoned her morals or never really had them in the first place. Leslie doesn't care about the "truth" which is the big difference between her and Lois. Lois can be headstrong, willful, and outright rude, but it's all in service of her pursuit of higher ideals. Livewire doesn't care about that, she carries about getting people to pay attention to her, and getting the recognition and wealth she believes she's owed.
What I'd Do With Livewire
Tumblr media
It wasn't until I had that big realization about Leslie that I figured out what role she should play with regards to Clark: She should be Clark's old college ex who was the one who got him into journalism in the first place.
Clark's college years are unexplored territory narratively, typically we jump from his childhood in Smallville right into his debut in Metropolis. Now I know Clark dated Lori that mermaid back in Pre-Crisis during his college years, and while that's a fun bit of trivia, it doesn't really add anything meaningful in the same way that I think Leslie and Clark dating could. So I'd rather go with Leslie because I think she makes for a better foil for Clark and because the two of them would benefit from having a deeper connection established, plus Leslie could get fleshed out as a character more.
I like the explanation that Clark chose journalism in part because it challenges him in ways his powers can't, but in the comics they've rarely bothered to explain how he chose that field in the first place. I would have meeting Leslie at college be that big moment where he starts to figure himself out. She's assertive and confident, and Clark is attracted to that for similar reasons he's attracted to Lois. Leslie would start out as an optimist and idealist in the same way Clark is, and the two would bond and go into journalism together, with Leslie being the one who really believes in the field initially. They'd both be big believers in the duty of the press to inform and the presses ability to shape public opinion, with Clark attracted to investigative journalism and Leslie attracted more to broadcast and digital journalism. They start to date and for a moment, Clark seriously wonders if this is the one.
The big break between them comes when Clark and Leslie go on a trip around the world during their senior year of college. That trip would be where both of them learn how crappy the world is. Clark always had some idea of how bad things were because of his powers, but the trip is where he really starts to realize that there is a real need for someone of his powers to step up, and that there are hard limits to just how much he can accomplish as a member of the press. That same realization is what shatters Leslie's idealism and optimism. She loses faith in the ability to make a difference, to punch through the wall of public indifference, and as a result she gives up that dream. Instead she decides that if you can't beat them, join them: she switches instead to telling the masses what the powers that be want them to hear in exchange for money, to saying whatever the masses will give her attention and prestige for, embracing tabloid journalism that prioritizes clicks and engagement over information. Ultimately it destroys the relationship between Leslie and Clark with her viewing him as a sap and him viewing her as a sellout.
Tumblr media
I think that origin really would help flesh out her worldview and motivation a lot more. She's a former idealist who has been broken by the world in a similar way to Poison Ivy. Leslie thus acts as a foil to Clark and Lois in that she's someone who let the world rob her of her idealism and sold out on the truth in exchange for material success. She's what Clark or Lois could've been if they took Lex's offer to work for him, and they should recognize that to some degree. Clark should have conflicting feelings for her, not romantically that relationship is dead, but in terms of sometimes he wonders if he's just wasting his life trying to fight for truth and justice. So few people seem to care about those principles, why hold on so tight to them? Why not just look out for his own self-interest the way everyone else seems to? It's the refusal to give up even when it looks pointless that makes the two of them different, and makes Clark a hero and Livewire a villain.
How I'd Like Livewire To Operate
There's a lack of imagination in how Livewire is used on the comic side as I see it.
Tumblr media
Like most Superman Rogues the typical Superman writer doesn't seem to have a clue what to do with her beyond generic "villain" stuff, but that does a disservice to what Livewire brings to the table. Livewire does want to fry Superman to a crisp, but that's not what her daily goal is to accomplish. More importantly, she wants respect and she wants money, and the way she gets both is not by trying to rob banks, it's by leaning into her background as a media personality combined with her new powers. Unleashing electric bolts is honestly the least impressive part of her powerset in terms of her ability to manipulate anything and everything technology.
The Internet? Livewire can crash the entire thing with ease, or restrict access to portions of it. She can do the reverse and smash through firewalls and encryption like it's made of paper. Imagine Livewire shutting off the power grid or causing it to explode, secretly using your "smart" tech to record your every move, uploading ransomware to every piece of technology in Metropolis, emptying the bank accounts of anyone who annoys her, or bringing Metropolis to it's knees thanks to the "City of Tomorrow" being a test ground for the Internet of Things, so everything is connected and thus easily manipulated. Smart cars crash into each other, elevators randomly drop, trains are unable to stop and simply accelerate onward unceasingly, plans attempting to land find their instruments on the fritz, anything and everything is Livewire's to control. But terrorism, while entertaining and occasionally profitable, isn't Livewire's main focus either.
One of my favorite Superman Adventures stories with her had Livewire manipulating TV broadcast signals so that any time there was a male news reporter on screen, the signal wouldn't come through. Stuff like that, where Livewire is making life hell for people in a way that isn't immediately life-threatening is what I envision as her day to day operations, but her bread and butter is fake news. What Livewire is REALLY good at doing is manipulating the public due to her journalism background plus her powers. She can make fake videos that look totally authentic, fake articles that seem to come from credible sources, fake voice recordings, she can make anyone appear to do or say anything through the Internet, and then she can upload that to the devices of every single person in Metropolis.
You can get stories about the mayor being framed for taking bribes, local activists cast as grifters, and supposed upstanding citizens such as Lois Lane and Clark Kent appearing to take orders from criminals like Intergang on what stories to run. Basically you lean into the journalism aspect for Livewire stories where Clark and Lois have to investigate to see whether what Livewire is putting out there is fake or legit, with peoples lives and reputations at stake (including frequently their own).
Tumblr media
And when Superman and Livewire actually do clash physically? I don't care how it gets justified, Livewire simply being that powerful, her lightning being "special", she has the ability to manipulate Superman's bioelectric field, whatever: she can hurt him. When she hits Supes with lightning, it burns. It's painful as all hell. Livewire needs to be a threat and I'd like her to be treated as a powerhouse since I don't see a reason why that shouldn't be the case. Livewire is a really cool Rogue, there's a reason she's managed to keep getting used long after the DCAU ended. I hope the comics creators start utilizing her to her full potential.

Greeting QW, I have a question for you. Which of your numbered original quirks would you wish to have as a cilivian and which would you wish to have as a hero(choose three from each each)? To list the numbered quirks I could find, they are: Spinning, High Fi, Ballistic, Reverb, Screw Loose, Paper Trail, Grass Blade, Zip, Metal Bones, Radion, Nailing, Pocket, Swap, String Along, and Metal Arms. There may be more but if there are I couldn't find the by searching up "Original Quirk #(Number Here)". If there are, you may choose from them as well(also I am curious at what they may be). Hope you have a wonderful morning/afternoon/evening/night, and hope you had a great Thanksgiving(I'm posting this two days after Thanksgiving).
May you have a wonderful day as well. And don't worry, you got all of the number Original Quirks I've done. I've just gotten some many ideas for Original Quirks thanks to asks that I haven't had the need to make original posts about them.
Civilian: High Fi: I mean this one is kind of a no brainer. Having a independent, high speed Internet connection whenever and wherever I want? It's convenient and I wouldn't have to pay for my Internet services any more. Plus it's a really easy way to make fast friends.
Pocket: Imagine just keeping things in a box that connects to the portal. Not only would this make sure that my stuff never get stolen, but gives me a lot of convivence. Could you imagine the looks on people's faces when I start pulling outs snacks from nowhere.
Zip: While I could just be my enjoyment of Sticky Fingers, I still think I could get a lot of uses out of this. Like getting through and around things without permanently damaging them or using it to selectively remove parts of things that are causing them issues.
Runner Up: Metal Bones On the one hand, the tougher bones would grant me better protection to my internal injuries. However, I think that the increased weight would do me a lot harm then good, even if I could move normally with it. Like I could end up destroying something by accident with that weight.
Hero: Radion: Normally I wouldn't go for straight bruiser powers, but if I really want to be a hero, I might as well pick some of the most powerful Quirks. That certainly fits this Quirk, turning into a powerhouse with little effort on my part to reach that point.
Metal Arms: Even if I didn't train my mind to include some of the more advanced uses, there is still a lot of stuff I could do with shapeshifting arms. I would be able to apply myself in so many situations as a hero, making whatever tool I need on the fly.
String Along: While this Quirk might be a bit too "evil" for my tastes, I cannot deny how useful this would be as a hero. The extensive control I would have over the strings could give me a lot of uses in the field, not to mention how good they'd be in combat.
Runner Up: Swap Now this can be a really useful Quirk for a hero given how much it allows the user to control the environment. Though I don’t think that I would be the right person to have this since it would take a lot of mentally tracking to keep focus on everything to make the Quirk effective.

You know... I think i almost became Gou once..
STORYTIME!!:
Long time ago, when i was playing my wonderful pokemon emerald.. I remember hating having to battle my pokemon, since I never connected with them that way.
This was long before we got things like pokemon alola, or any other ways of interacting with your pokemon besides healing and battleing.
I was really lonely back than, and was still trying to make freinds (and mostly failing at it..) So my freinds where my blaziken and my Mightyena. My two strongest pokemon. (Which I just realized, yes. I too started with a fire pokemon.)
They'd both play off each other, blaziken being a complete powerhouse! And my mightyena, always there when i need it most. Whenever mightyena fainted, that's when i knew i was truley devastated.
(I had like a million cascoons too, but i didnt really connect with em, except for like.. 1 wurmple which was like my child that needed constant love and protection.)
Of course, after awhile..didn't want them to battle. *cough* probably cause i sucked at battling *cough*
I wanted to make freinds.
So, if i caught pokemon, that means they wouldn't run away, abandon me, and I'd could play with them.
Of course, being the deranged child I was, thought if i could capture EVERY SINGLE POKEMON IN THE GAME- i could make many freinds!
Plus, the pokedex would tell me stuff about them, and i could understand/ learn about them better. (Always had will to learn)
Of course, i may have sucked at battling, and had like 2 gym badges that i could care less about... BUT I WAS GOOD AT CATCHING POKEMON!!!! SO THIS GOAL HAD TO BE LEGIT-
It wasn't..
But by the time I realized i probably couldn't do that.. My poor freaking atm.... Was filled to the brim with so much pokemon oh arceus lord all mighty- i was a monster... How much time did i have on my hands??!?! WHY WAS THERE SO MANY CASCOONS AND TENTACOOLS?!?!?
And then i lost my game cartridge
:DDD
:DDD
*screams into the void*
Im sure many can relate to my stupid story-
Though im going to be honest, i guess thats probably cause the animes whole "gotta catch em all!" Thing that I kept reading.
Hell- i even tried to give my pokemon some screen time-
Realizing I didn't want to abandon them in their tiny, dark prision.. And i still wanted to care for them in any way i could, i occasionally took them out of their pokeballs to battle with.
Just like gou did....
I even wear black cause its my favorite color...
Okay, so im starting to see that gou is a very relatable character-
OR I AM A VERY RELATABLE PERSON- AND AM A COMMON TROPE????????
HELP?!??! WHAT WAS THE POINT OF THIS STORY?!?!

LeeSaku is great specifically if you frame it from Sakuras perspective. We still have no idea why Sakura "loves" Sasuke. We know she thinks hes cool, talented and handsome but is that enough to warrant marrying someone? Obviously not because their relationship is a trainwreck.
During part 1, Sakura started to respect Lee a lot more as she saw his true colors. She realized that hes devoted, compassionate, hardworking and loyal. She came to respect him because she knew what it's like to be born into a weak clan and have nothing but determination and hard work make you stronger. He defended her during the Chunin exams to a point where he was pretty seriously injured. After his fight with Gaara, she visited him in hospital and brought him flowers. It felt like something really nice was set up there even if it was very brief. If it had continued to develop, they'd be a happy and healthy couple.
Basically hes the opposite of Sasuke and suits Sakura a lot more. If they got married, hed be endlessly devoted to her and their kids. Hed be a ray of sunshine in Sakuras life and hed do everything he can to make sure their kids are happy. Plus could you imagine how strong their kids would be? Lee's speed and taijustu capabilities + Sakuras strength and heal? The whole family would be a total powerhouse.
like i said that’s all fine and nice but i still don’t like it... i mean it’s good, i understand now why other people ship them but it’s just not my cup of tea and i still prefer to see them in a platonic way

*UPDATE 8/13/19* Court for the restraining order was today, and it was granted. FOR LIFE! That's pretty rare! He stared at her the throughout the entire time, just stared! Maybe trying to intimidate? Didn't work! I'm so proud of her!
If you share this and it's flagged, appeal it as I did. They will reinstate the post.
This is my oldest daughter, Andrea, and she has asked me to write her story and post it. This is extremely important as it may help someone else, and hopefully save future victims. Young women everywhere, but especially in Southwest Florida, they need to be aware of this guy!
Tumblr media
This is what my daughter normally looks like.
This Monday, July 28th of 2019, my 18 year old was beaten by her first love; he beat the hell out of her while driving down the road, never even pulled over. The argument began because he'd stolen her debit card and taken money from it, so she was asking for her money back. He became violent. She attempted to jump out the moving vehicle, Brandon grabbed her by her hair; she tried calling for help, he threw her phone. As he was bashing her in the back of the head, he also stuck his thumb inside her eyeball, breaking her prescription glasses. In the photos you'll notice that my baby's eyes are crossed due to this woman beating punk!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I will say that i am proud of my girl; Andrea is 4'11" tall and she only wears a size ten, while her attacker is 6 foot and 160 lbs. If you look at the mugshot you'll see that she finally stuck up for herself. My girl is a powerhouse; there's only so many times you can kick a dog before they bite back! Thankfully a passing motorist witnessed what was going on and notified police; Brandon Gray Farris was arrested. He called her literally dozens of times while in jail, I guess he figured that he could sweet talk her into taking him back. He burnt that bridge, she's 100% done.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The next night my baby sat on my bed and told me that this wasn't the first time he abused her, it's been going on for months. It started with insults: You're stupid, you're fat, you're a loser who doesn't even have a GED. Nobody else will ever want you, and on and on. He isolated her from each of her friends, wasn't allowed to talk in the phone, wear makeup, or leave the house without him. He even had GPS on her phone so he knew where she was at all times, and she was forced to quit the job she loved so much. Then a couple months later the violence began. He would mostly beat her in the back of the head so the bruises wouldn't be visible to her loved ones. We noticed marks on her, but were told it was from rough sex. My 18 year old was a VIRGIN when she met this bastard! She is a good girl with an amazing heart! At one point he choked her out; she heard something pop in her neck, and she lost consciousness more than once. She honestly thought Brandon was going to murder her! The choking incident was more than a month ago, and she STILL has a knot the size of a half dollar from where she felt that pop! On the 4th of July my family always hoes on vacation: my mom gets a suite, and we all go away. Andrea went missing for several hours on the 4th, we didn't know where she was. When she came back, she said Brandon had been crying because our family didn't like him. And we didn't, we always had a bad feeling about this guy; he seemed so fake, always telling us what we wanted to hear, plus the right sec stuff didn't sit right. Come to find out, during those hours in which she'd been missing they'd been in the SUV his daddy had just gifted him and he'd beaten her again; bashed her in the head repeatedly. He was so angry he wrecked his new vehicle.
After these incidents, Brandon would cry and swear he was gonna change, or he'd tell her it never happened (gaslighting) and that she was a "Crazy psycho". When she would try and break up with this piece of human garbage, he would threaten to kill himself or he'd threaten to murder her and then himself; my daughter was afraid to tell. My daughter has admitted that she was forced to be intimate with this piece of human garbage more than once!
Tumblr media
We have since found out that this is a pattern with Brandon Farris. We now know that at 20 years of age he targets younger, inexperienced girls; at least two of his exes have been beaten by him, and from what we've been told they have gotten restraining orders on him as well. My daughter had had several young ladies message and/or call her to tell their stories of abuse with this guy; they were afraid to press charges, feeling that he would kill them if they did so. This is a cycle, and he's going to end up killing someone; we've also heard horror stories of abuse from a closed family member of Brandon's. Yet he's manipulative af, and tells everyone that they're only seeing her side of the story. He's the true victim here! I study and write about criminals, it's my passion, it's what I am educated in. This man is a talented narcissist, yet disorganized. I'm willing to bet everything that I own that Brandon is a sociopath.
My baby is broken right now. She's hurt physically, and her eye is crossed from where he stuck his finger inside her eyeball, her finger is broken. After all this happened we took photos of my daughter in a bikini for evidence, her entire body is covered in bruises; some are older, some newer. Many were finger indent bruises from where he'd grabbed her. It's all documented. But even more worrisome, as someone who personally suffers from PTSD myself, I now see it in my daughter. I unexpectedly touched her earlier and she freaked out, crying, shaking, and screaming. At the hospital her normally percent blood pressure was 168/100. My heart is shattered.
Andrea is beside herself, and she just wants to be with her daddy, Lynn, and she's crying for her Uncle Jeremy (my brother who she doesn't even get along with) probably because she knows he would die protecting her. Her daddy took some time off work (he has accumulated vacation time) and the day after Brandon was arrested we took our daughter to the courthouse to file for a protection order and make sure charges had been filed against him. Yes, she has an appointment to see a counselor this coming week. This is a photo of her and her daddy walking into the courthouse.

My daughter, Andrea, wants her story told. She wants his next victim to see what happened to her when she googles his name. Maybe we can save Brandon's next victim, we wish that someone had warned us.

I am only sharing this photo of Brandon and my daughter because it's the only one I have of him. His name is Brandon Farris, his insta account is brandito_the_bandito. If you live in Southwest Florida, please beware this sociopath. If you're interested in hearing more of her story, her insta account is named in many of the photos. Thank you for reading 💙 be safe ladies. We have to stick together, we MUST help keep one another safe from people like this. Watch out for red flags such as these, and TELL SOMEBODY! Message me, message my daughter, message SOMEONE! Nobody deserves to be abused!

Hollywood Job Envy: Entertainment's Most Powerful Reveal Who They'd Trade Places With for a Day
While multiple members of 2017’s THR 100 said they’d like to switch seats with Bob Iger — “CEO of Happiness,” according to Oprah Winfrey — and The Rock, admired in part for his “great calves,” others are content to stay in their own powerful positions.
They’re the 100 most powerful people in entertainment but that doesn’t mean they don’t dream about trading places with someone else in Hollywood. Asked whose job they would want — just for one day — the execs, creators and stars who made the cut for this year’s THR 100 offered a wide variety of answers, with a few notable repeats.
Bob Iger, himself No. 1 on the THR 100, was the most popular pick, with five of the interviewees wanting to take his job as CEO of Disney for the day; Oprah Winfrey (No. 9) even called him the “CEO of Happiness.” AMC’s Charlie Collier (No. 42) cited Iger’s “breadth of perspective,” with Simon Kinberg (No. 59) and Brian Grazer (No. 95) expressing similar sentiments. Mark Burnett (No. 54) summed it up more simply: “Bob Iger. This needs no explanation.”
Netflix’s Ted Sarandos (No. 2) was named by both Fox’s Dana Walden (No.16) “so that I could see Netflix’s ratings,” she said, and Ava DuVernay (No. 70), who mentioned the chief content officer’s disruptor role in Hollywood and “those deep pockets.” As for Sarandos, he’d switch places for a day with Lorne Michaels (No. 38); same goes for Michaels’ corporate boss, NBCUniversal CEO Steve Burke (No. 3).
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson (No. 34) also got a couple of mentions — from Brett Ratner (No. 9), who admires the star’s “great calves,” and Jordan Peele (No. 93). Wonder Woman helmer Patty Jenkins (No. 94) chose Clint Eastwood (No. 63) — “he has such a great and impressive body of work that now he really gets to do what he wants to do,” she said — as did one of her collaborators on the DC summer blockbuster, Warner Bros.’ Jon Berg (No. 64). “Who wouldn’t want to be Clint for one day?” Berg told THR. “I’d just keep giving myself his patented ‘what you looking at’ stare.”
Also receiving multiple mentions were two powerhouses who didn’t appear on THR’s list: Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos was chosen by Illumination’s Chris Meledandri (No. 29) and Starz’s Chris Albrecht (No. 60). And Jay-Z was the choice of both UTA’s Jeremy Zimmer and TBS/TNT president Kevin Reilly, who quipped of the hip hop star and mogul, “We’re very similar.”
