Kristen: Fearless. I can't even explain why, but to me that album is just so sunny and in my mind it fits Kristen perfectly. I think maybe it's because Fearless was one of the first album I ever really loved, then when I was older the rerecording is what got me back into tswift and I can totally see Kristen going through a similar journey with it where maybe she loves it as a kid but then stops listening to it as she distances herself from her childhood/family, only to fall in love with it again later on. Also I feel like the country vibes fit her well. (She would also LOVE betty but she would pretend it's a lesbian anthem)

Gorgug: Ok this feels controversial but he's a Lover stan. I just fully belive that to his core Gorgug is a lover not a hater and he would un ironically love Lover. Like to me that album is all about having gone through some bad shit and choosing to only carry forward the best of it? And that fits with my perception of Gorgug. ALSO the end of afterglow 'I want to be defined by the things that I love, not the things that I hate, or the things that haunt me in the middle of the night' just feels very Gorgug coded to me dont ask me why. However if you've seen any of my other posts about music and the bad kids you know that I wholeheartedly believe Gorgug loves all music so I think he'd be hard pressed to choose a favourite album.

Riz: Midnights. And not just because this kid never sleeps. Bassically I really couldn't decide which album he would listen to because none of them really fit, but then I started thinking about specific lyrics and I think Midnights has the most that he could relate to. I mean 'no one wanted to play with me as a little kid so I've been scheming like a criminal ever since' is about him. You can't change my mind. I do think though that Riz is definitely more invested in all the easter eggs and firguring out which album is coming next over actually listening to her music. Like he would for sure be among the first to figure out all her clues.

Fabian: 1989 and Folklore. I fully to the bottom of my heart belive that until his sophmore year Fabian would exclusivly be listening to pop music, sea shanties, and weird elven music. So obviously he would love the greatest pop album ever made. He wouldn't listen to Folklore until post sophmore character development. Also he would For Sure learn the choreography for the dance in the background of Dress on the Rep tour and recreat it perfectly using his sheet.

Fig: Speak Now. I mean do I even need to explain this? It's the perfect album for Fig. It's the kind of thing she would have loved when she was in her Preppy Cheerleader phase, but it has just enough of that pop punk influence that I feel like she could still appreciate it when she's older. I feel like she would definitly take issue with some of the misogynistic lyrics used in some of the songs, and would be all for the lyric change in Better Than Revenge. Also as I've mentioned many times before, Fig would love Paramore, and would LOVE Castles Crumbling. Like you're going to sit here and tell me that lines like 'They used to cheer when they saw my face, Now I fear I have fallen from grace' + 'Their faith was strong, but I pushed it too far, I held that grudge 'til it tore me apart' + 'Ones I loved tried to help, so I ran them off, And here I sit alone, behind walls of regret' + 'People look at me like I'm a monster, Now they're screaming at the palace front gates, used to chant my name, Now they're screaming that they hate me, Never wanted you to hate me' weren't written by Figueroth Faeth? I also just think songs like Never Grow Up and Long Live would perfectly fit with her not so secret sentimental streak.

Adaine: Evermore and Folklore. I think theres just a sort of elegence to these albums that really reminds me of Adaine. I also think theres so much vulnerability in them and a lot of the songs touch on feelings of not being good enough for others (mirrorball, tolerate it, this is me trying, right where you left me) that I think she could relate to not from a romantic relationship standpoint but from all the expectations placed on her by her parents. I also think that although these are probably the most low key of tswifts albums, they have some good angry songs (no body no crime, illicit affairs, mad woman) that she would definitly love. But yeah this is mostly based on aesthetics. Evermore and Folklore were albums written with a quill and Adaine is the kind of girl to appreciate this.

Something I've been finding quite irritating about the lack of media and culture literacy we're seeing - because of course the least educated people speak the loudest I fear - is that it's almost forced me to become an advocate for art I don't particularly enjoy. I don't enjoy modern or contemporary art. I don't like it, I think it's overblown, and I think a lot of modern/contemporary movements are juvenile, underdeveloped, and crude. I will also defend modern and contemporary art until I die from white tiktok women who claim that they could make better art from the comfort of their upper middle class couches because apparently despite pretending to be cultured by going to the museums where modern art is housed and proclaiming to their thousands of followers that they have done so - which was a choice, by the way, they could have really gone to any museum that served their one-note tastes all the better - they simply cannot be bothered to do any sort of research or reading on what the modern/contemporary art actually means, how it was created, the backgrounds of the artists who create it, etc., or even to read the plaque next to the piece while they stand next to it making their videos about how lifeless and uninteresting they find it.

There is a huge difference between disliking something because you understand it vs. because you don't. Please for the love of god, if you're going to loudly dislike something, please be the person who dislikes it because you understand it, and spare me the trouble of trying to shout just as loudly that, well, yes, Jackson Pollock was the worst, but please leave his genre alone because you sound like quite the toad when you speak.

I did a quick Google search and found that Procyon A is expected to live for around 2 billion years, after which point it will die and become a white dwarf star. White dwarf stars, though, are predicted to last for anywhere from tens to hundreds of billions of years before the leftover energy from the star's life fades. That's a really heckin long time compared to an alive star.

So in regards to lifespan... I don't think Ingo and Emmet have to worry that much. They have so much time on their hands, it's crazy. And hey, they will match! White dwarf buddies.

He managed to keep enough of a lid on it that he doesn't do any damage to Hisui, which is great bc the whole world wouldn't survive that, much less the region. However, he can't keep all of it in, so there are a many moments where a lot of light slips out and he can't help but become a walking flashbang. It helps that there aren't many people in the highlands, and there are a lot of caves to hide in. Bright flashes of light coming from Mount Coronet that turn the night to day are commonplace.

Normally, there wouldn't be anything that could be done to help him. It's natural for stars to die. However, the circumstances here were very unnatural *cough cough giratina cough*, so the other two thirds of the creation trio will be allowed to interfere. All they have to do is get Supernova and Black Hole in the same place, and have Dialga rewind them. If Yveltal has a problem, it can take it up with Arceus and Palkia. Palkia will go to bat for its son, and Arceus sees no reason not to fix what Giratina did.

The smallest known black hole has an estimated lifespan of about a novemdecillion years. You know it's bad when you are getting into cookie clicker numbers. Bc Ingo is smaller than a naturally formed black hole, it wouldn't be quite that long, but it's close enough. But it's not really a nice existence for all the longevity he has.

Bc Black Hole was formed from the core, he has all his memories, but his consciousness is practically locked away inside him. It takes a long time for him to react to things, if he can at all. He has to fight against his own gravitational pull just to get a thought out.

His touch doesn't affect other people, bc once again that would be Very No Bueno. Also, other people aren't made of star stuff.

If he touches Emmet, he starts to siphon off energy from him. It doesn't do anything to benefit Ingo aside from adding time to his lifespan, and it wouldn't kill Emmet to touch Ingo for a while, but it does make Emmet really tired until he spends some time out of contact. Ingo is accidentally eating what Emmet is fueling his human body with, and Emmet needs time away to replace that.

Ingo doesn't like Emmet doing that bc he'd rather Emmet take care of himself. But Emmet can't not touch his brother. He's going to take care of Ingo, and touching him is comforting. Emmet is having a hard enough time dealing with this already. Do not separate.

Ngl, I think it’s weird how chummy Kon and Steph are in the preview panels of Tim’s upcoming special. 

I know, I know, it’s a new universe, multiple reboots removed from the post Crisis / pre Flashpoint universe I typically read. But it is odd seeing how friendly Young Justice has been with Steph since 2019, when pre-Nu52, most of them either wouldn’t have a clue who she is, or if they did know her, canonically did not like her… and vice versa. Steph and Young Justice were not friendly, for several reasons:

The Greta incident, wherein Greta attacked Steph in a bout of jealousy and resentment

Greta snubbed Steph’s peace offering during the Zandia thing

The second Greta incident

Steph makes no mention of Tim’s closest friends despite them being a huge part of his life, and expresses zero interest in meeting them

The fact that there are a lot of girls on the team and Steph gets pissy and jealous over every girl Tim interacts with

Superboy is pissed when he finds out she replaced Tim as Robin, and is a jerk to Steph about it

Wonder Girl knows how badly Steph hurt Tim when she “died,” and dislikes Steph for swanning back in acting like nothing happened

Steph betrayed Tim, sabotaged his investigation, hired assassins to attack him, and in doing so not only got people hurt/killed but greatly damaged Tim’s trust — not an interaction with YJ, but plenty of reason for them to despise her

Seriously, every single one on one interaction between Steph and the members of Young Justice pre reboot was negative. Betraying Tim would do nothing to endear her to them (in fact, may even elevate from cool distance or vague dislike to actual animosity). The rest of them probably don’t even know who she is (I don’t think she’s ever exchanged a single word with Bart).

This is strictly from a pre-Nu52 standpoint — like I said, we’re currently several reboots away from this. But it is why I think Steph being tight with Kon and the rest of YJ is weird, especially now that they have a hodgepodge of memories to draw from.

When I talk about the reason wlw liking female villains goes so much deeper than just because "haha villain lady hot" because then I could be like, "Glad you asked! Here's a 100 page essay on why I love Catra, will always love Catra, and am a Catra apologist! Featuring in this essay is: lesbophobia, homophobia, mental illness and the neurodivergence of women, cycle of abuse, mean lesbian trope, misogyny, queer coding, trauma, and last but not least, racism!"

But we all know they wouldn't read it because it's easier to think, "You only like Catra because boobie window!" Then to open up the large can of worms that is, "As a black, nurodivergent, disabled, lesbian who's been through the cycle of abuse, has been traumatized, and constantly puts other people above myself, Catra helped me learn to love myself more then Adora ever did."

Oh my god i realized there is no fricking way im explaining everything today theres so MUCH HDKKSJDKS i'll just explain the basic mythology and some of my favorite guys

Ok we need to start with the gods

Once upon a time there was nothing. One day Nothing decided it wanted to be something. It split itself into multiple parts and those parts became the first three gods. The part of Nothing that wanted to be something became Creator (cre) and the part that liked being Nothing became Red (ree. This is a placeholder name i really cant decide on a fitting name for red hdjsdkskd). Also there was this indecisive middle guy and their name is Astral (starry. Starry is important because they're the responsible sibling. They mostly do everything)

These are the Incompetent God Siblings. There are smaller gods who split from the siblings but theyre mostly irrelevant. Also the gods look like birds (actually it's the other way around, birds look like gods because the gods wanted to put something that looks like themselves in the mortal realm. Kind of like self insert ocs dhjskfkd) so i also call them Birbs

Anyway the thousands of new gods just hung around for some time in their newfound existance until cre decided this was boring. So the gods all decided to make some universes with stuff in it. Except ree who was against the whole 'existing' thing in the first place and was a grump about it, so the gods conpromised with ree and put a expiration date on the universe. Spoilers: this leads to some politic problems later on

So tada theres a universe now. Multiple universes. Parallel worlds are relevant later but that would make this post longer than an entire novel series so dropping that topic

Now onto the actual ocs dhjdkskfks

Domino aka Elizabeth the 3rd. (Some quick background lore, the elizabeths are guys who are trapped in an unending loop of reincarnation (courtesy of ree). They all have their own memories and personalities but share some core traits such as god obsession) Domino is part of the "villain squad" in the plot and a (pseudo)scientist who works at the shadow government. She's very cold and NOT interested in anything except for her (ethically questionable) experiments concerning angels and, unfortunately, the main characters. She was relatively fine until she got involved in some plot relevant scheme as a kid and almost died now shes Not Fine.. has two lab assistants Apel Pine (pineapple) and Stein Mango (mangosteen. Theyre 9 years old, twins and orphans, domino named them and yes she is canonically bad at names). Pineapple is traumatized and deprieved of affection, desperately seeking love from domino who is the only thing close to a parent figure he's ever had. Domino does not notice nor does she care.. which makes pineapple :(. He's aggressive to others and needs therapy. Unlike him though, mangosteen is very okay! Mostly because pineapple tried his very best to protect mango from the bad things in life. It worked and pineapple now has twice the trauma he was supposed to have, while mango has none. He turned out as a silly little guy who is oblivious to the horrors and he tries really really hard to make everyone get along. And he likes snow :D theres a short backstory behind pineapple and mango from before they were domino's assistants which explains why theyre Like That, which i will maybe perhaps talk about later

Also in a different universe theres a 12 year old menace called damo who wears a poncho thingie and claims to be the most evil villain in the whole universe (she isnt she has no idea what a villain is, she thinks theyre cool people who explode stuff). She likes bombs and doing disney villain laughs. She is the silly ever and nothing bad happens to her and i love her very very much

Every once in a while someone mentions that TDP Callum is actually biracial and I’m violently reminded that he’s the perfect intersection of the secretly-special mediocre white boy main character and the Green-Eyed Asian Love Interest.  Totally passes as white for easy projection, but if you point out the bland male wish-fulfillment aspect of his rushed romance with the hyper-competent, super-waifu-able, so-Caucasian-her-hair-is-white elf girl then suddenly it’s “actually really unique and important interracial relationship rep :)”

If a genie let you put one scene or detail or whatever into season 3 of obx, what would you choose? (I’m basically asking what your dream scene would be)

I'm going to sound like a broken record, but the thing I want to see THE MOST is a recognition of Kiara's Kook Year. I want to hear more about it, I want to know more about how she made up with the boys and how it affected their relationships, and I also want to know more about what the boys did while she was gone. I personally think they would have fallen apart a little bit without Kiara around (like Jordan says, she's mostly in charge of their singular brain cell) but I want to know more of the show's take on that.

I think in terms of my dream scene... oh god. I really want Kiara to have a "do you know how special your son is" moment in front of JJ. Like, not with Luke, obviously, but that same type of sentiment. she thinks so highly of JJ and he just has no fucking idea. I want to see a scene where she's talking to someone (or even JJ himself) and he realizes that she thinks the world of him. and also, i just need her to tell that poor boy that he's destined for more than a jail cell. please. PLEASE. it's set up so well in s2 and i think they could nail a scene like that in s3.
