Hey, I hope you’re having a good day! I had an idea, Marvel cast flirting with y/n for x minutes?
Tumblr media
. . MARVEL CAST FLIRTING WITH Y/N Y/L/N FOR 10 MINUTES STRAIGHT!
Coming home from an extremely long and stressful day/week was unfortunately something very familiar to you—so familiar that you and your best friend (your not famous best friend who was your pilar through all the chaos fame brought) had created a little routine; she’d send you various videos and links to movies and online books she knew would relax and amuse you.
So, cuddled up in your bed with your pyjamas and your star lights on (a true child at heart, always) you opened up your chats with them and eagerly swiped to see that they’d sent.
‘Marvel Cast Flirting with Y/N Y/L/N For 10 Minutes Straight!’ was the video for tonight.
Immediately you cackled to yourself, hurriedly sending your best friend thanks in the form of ironic emojis and frantic proclamations of undying love, before loading up the (true to prior word) ten minute long video.
Surely this was an exaggeration.
The video began, large letters in a cute font appearing on the dark screen ‘the marvel cast all being in love flirting with y/n for ten minutes’. The quick ‘AS THEY SHOULD’ before the clips started playing made you giggle to yourself.
The first clip was from some years back, you were pretty sure this was a premiere for The Avengers, given how you looked and the quality—you were standing opposite on interview, smile on your face and dressed in a pretty outfit the same colour of your character’s aesthetic.
“How do you feel about your costume?”
Before you could even answer the interviews question, Scarlett intercepted your interview—hair in a short red bob and a smirking grin at her lips as she wrapped an arm around your waist.
“Well I know how we all feel about this ladies costume, it’s a beautiful piece that just makes the women wearing all the more beautiful. If that’s even possible.”
The edit quickly gave Scarlett beating heart eyes for you as she didn’t tear her eyes away from you for a second—making present time you laugh.
With that she kissed your cheek, leaving a red mark of her lipstick and walked away, dramatically winking in your direction.
The second clip was a blooper, from .. Captain America: Civil War, you thought. You were on Sebastian’s shoulders, thighs locked over his head—in character, as your character and his were mid fight.
He stumbled back over a table accidentally and you let out a startled yelp, hands flying to steady yourself in his long hair and one of his landing on your arse cheek to steady you as he steadied himself with the other.
“Is it bad that I’m loving this?”
“SEBA—“
“Cut!”
The third clip was you and Lizzie (Elizabeth Olsen) reacting fan tweets; Lizzie unrolled the piece of paper, her eyes lighting up as she giggled with a little smirk.
“Elizabeth. .” You wearily trailed off, looking at your friend.
“Sorry, sorry. Okay! This tweet says if i could just pretty BEEP please with the juiciest most mouthwatering cherry on top get a not kid friendly scene of Wanda and (Your Character) I could die peacefully, my wish fulfilled. I implore you marvel, listen to your dying fan.”
“That tweet had over fifty thousand likes as well.” A feminine voice added in from behind the camera, laughter in her tone.
You and Lizzie turned to each other at the same time, grinning.
“I mean the fan is dying babe. .”
“Right? We should totally make this happen, like, totally.” She gave you a cheeky once over, eyes appreciating all of you. “Because it was the fans wish, not mine, duh.” Lizzie added.
“Mhm.” You hummed with a smirk.
The fourth clip was a evidently some sort of ‘guess the body part’ game: a photo of what you were pretty sure was your bottom half was the picture currently used for guessing, in the picture you were leaned over in a pair of yoga pants and in your personal opinion, you looked good. Well, your arse looked good (amazing, otherworldly—you humbly added)
Lizzie was the first person to answer, the video showing each persons turn one by one and immediately she said, “that’s my girl. Y/N.” Then giggling she added, “now get my girls booty off the screen, I don’t need you all ogling her. We get enough of that, sometimes causes a strain on us. But we’ve remained strong together.”
Paul Rudd was next and he stared at the picture of you for a few solid seconds, “it’s Y/N.” He sheepishly admitted. He pointed an accusing finger dramatically towards the camera—“I only know this because of all the edits you guys make!”
“You don’t have to watch them.” The interviewer pointed out innocently; Paul pouted, grumbling.
Next was Anthony who instantly answered, “That’s Y/N right here!” He hyped you up, grinning. “Don’t even try and make it creepy, we do glutes together man, it’s why we’re the best asses in the cast. Up top!” Anthony exclaimed, holding his hand up towards the picture as if pretending to high five you or something—the interviewer timidly gave him a high five.
Sebastian was next as you (and everyone) watch his eyes flicker and grin that was more of a smirk spread across his cheeks, “that’s definitely y/n.” He assumed instantly. “Would’ve been able to tell you that blindfolded.”
“But—“
“I’d have just sensed her.” Sebastian giggled.
Chris Evans was next—a grin picked up on his face immediately, eyes trained on the photo of you and he ran a hand over his beard, lightly biting his lip (HEELLLOOO????)
“That’s Y/n.” Chris stated confidently, smirking lightly and the camera caught some of the team in line of sight exchange raised eyebrows.
The fifth clip was of Brie Larson who was being interviewed on some sort of premiere event again—presumably or her (marvellous) movie, Captain Marvel, smiling at the interviewer.
“Out of all of the people on the Marvel Cast, those who you’ve met, do you have a favourite out of them?” The interview questioned.
“I’m not really one for favourites but I would definitely say I’m closest to Y/n! She’s—she’s just so lovely and funny and she’s like a ray of sunshine, honestly. She’s been a great help in the filming process as well, she coached me through everything with so patience—I would’ve strangled me if I was her, but no, she just had that adorable smile on her face. She’s truly an amazing person and a better friend than I thought possible.” Brie answered enthusiastically with a soft smile.
“Awwww! We love to hear that—are any of the rumours about her true?”
Brie blinked, seeming taken aback for a brief moment— “Yes she does smell amazing, she’s always effortlessly beautiful, she’s unfailingly hilarious and yes no one in this world deserves her. But like. . if she’s open to it,” Brie paused, winking at the camera and making a call me sign with her hands and mouthing the words with a flirty grin.
The sixth clip was of you, Tom Holland, RDJ, Paul Bettany, Zoe Saldana and Pom Klementieff on Jimmy Kimmel, tasked with drawing your characters. The clip started just as you turned around the drawing of your character and well, it was actually surprisingly good in your own opinion—the audience immediately erupted into loud and obnoxious cheers.
“As great as that is, love, it still doenst capture the extent of your beauty.” Tom Holland, who was sat to your left, grinned cheekily at you and the audience practically shouted and hooted.
“Would anything ever?” Zoe shot back from your right side, twirling a lock of your hair affectionately and smiling as she leaned against you.
“I sincerely doubt that anything could.” RDJ piped up, giving you an unapologetic grin when you looked over at him with fond exasperation as the crowd was practically inconsolable in their glee and enthusiasm, shouting out your praises. “Give it up for sunshine, people. Our gorgeous ray of sunshine!”
“I—“
“They are quite right, Y/n.” Paul Bettany spoke over Jimmy who was obviously going to try and calm down his crowd.
The seventh clip started playing: it was a clip taken from Jacob Batalon’s story, clearly in a party setting—the video showed you and Zendaya in the centre of the dance floor, everyone around you clearly watching you both as you danced up against each other to the sounds of Yeah! by Usher.
“Mate I think your girls about to be stole.” The voice of Tom’s friend, Harrison, sounded from beside Jacob and presumably Tom himself and to empathise Harrison’s words, Jacob zoomed in on your faces, wide grins of ecstasy, and the way Zendaya was admiring you.
“Right in public as well, the scandal.” Jacob cackled.
The eighth clip was an interview of Chris Evans and McKenna Grace (you adored that little girl to pieces). The two of them were answering the ‘Webs Most Searched Question’s’ together.
“Who was.. Chris Evans, date at the Oscars?”
McKenna immediately ooed, smiling teasingly and Chris laughed from beside her.
“This is getting juicy!”
“Well, it was my mom one year and then my sister last year—“
“He wishes it was Y/n though.” The little girl laughed with a beaming smile on her lips and you, present time, arched a brow.
Chris bashfully chuckled with a smile and you swore you could see a genuine red hue on his cheeks, “I mean—it’s Y/n. Anyone would be happy to go with her.”
“I would be!” McKenna excitedly exclaimed as she grinned so sweetly you were now going to make sure you took this sweet child with you to the Oscar’s, Chris seemed to melt as well, recovering from his brief flustered moment.
The ninth clip was Sebastian and Anthony reading out their thirst tweets in a Buzzfeed interview, the clip started as Sebastian was pulling out a tweet from the large bucket.
He read it to himself and blushed faintly, Anthony’s eyebrows practically reaching his forehead as he tried to lean over and read it but Sebastian jokingly shoved him back.
“Oh for—That scene where (Your Character) chokes baby Bucky out with her thighs, his—his head all up in there; the shit I would give to be her, I would give my soul, my fridge, my moms purse, my dads golf clubs. Please, sir. Put your face between my legs like you did Y/n.”
By the end of the tweet, Sebastian had a deeply awkward and slightly perturbed look on his face and Anthony cackled at his side.
“Nah, I’m pretty sure he was more than happy with it being Y/n, wouldn’t change it even for your dads golf clubs.” Anthony laughed.
“That’s. . I’m gonna have to decline that, um, respectfully.” Sebastian spoke in regards to the tweet, ignoring Anthony.
In turn, Anthony ignored Sebastian as well and just dramatically kept winking at the camera.
The tenth clip was Cobie Smulders, who was being interviewed on some sort of carpet event, smile on her face as she spoke to the interviewer before her.
“How does it feel knowing that the lesbian community, myself included, are firmly rooting for your character, Maria and Y/N’s character (Your Character) to end up together?”
Cobie’s smile turned genuinely delighted, “I love it—we love it. Y/n and I actually have made so many PowerPoints and presented them to the Russo brothers, but alas. I do really want to end up with her—oops, sorry, wait. I really want my character to end with hers. . would be the appropriate wording. But I’m all for inappropriate if Y/n wants.”
Cobie jokingly bit her lip at the camera and you, watching the video, could not contain your laughter as the interviewer practically burst out with excitement.
The eleventh clip was a blooper from your filming of the avengers—you were standing next to Chris Hemsworth who had an arm around your waist, holding you to him as in the scene his character, Thor, flies the both of you away. But Chris quickly tugged you in front of him and began tickling you mercilessly, hysterical giggles falling from your lips as the people around you laughed as well.
“Chris, HAVE MERCY!”
“Aw, but I enjoy hearing your laughter. It’s a very pretty sound.” Chris laughed to himself, finally stopping his attack and letting you slump against his, back to his front. “I particularly like this as well.” He smirked down at you.
“CHRI—“
In the twelfth clip, you and Tessa Thompson were reading out thirst tweets together: “The feminine urge to fall asleep cuddled into Y/n’s boobs is too real, pls come here mommy.” You read out, giggling all the while.
“The urge is so strong.” Tess commented, nodding her add as she sneakily glanced at your chest with a innocent smile.
“Come here, baby.” You joked, laughing as you opened your arms for her and she practically leaped into them, resting her head on your chest.
“I’m living the dreams of millions right now and it feels amazing.” Tessa gloated jokingly, pulling away from you with only final squeeze and a little wink the camera caught.
“I concur.” You grinned back.
The thirteenth clip was you and Tom Hiddleston, talking with an interviewer on a carpet event. His arm was around your waist and both of you were wearing smiles greeting the interviewer.
“So, obviously, you both act in marvel movies, but not really close together! If you could, would you want to work more closely and have you characters be more involved?”
“I absolutely would.” Tom immediately replied with an honest, heartwarming smile. “And personally, it’s not even a fact of our characters being intertwined it’s more that working this fantastic woman beside me is a gift I have come to deeply cherish, truly it’s an honour. And I suppose, if our characters were to get involved, so to speak, that I would enjoy that because this is the y/n y/l/n, I’d be a mad man not to want that.” He finished charmingly.
You grinned, taking a bow, and both Tom and the interviewer laughed before that clip cut as well.
The fourteenth clip was at Comic-Con, mostly everyone on the cast had already been called out and taken their seats and then your name was called, the audience erupting into loud cheers.
Sebastian, who was sat next to your assigned seat, hopped and and jogged over to offer you his arm as you grinned and waved at everyone—the crowd screaming louder at his actions.
The screams only increased as Chris Evans and Don Cheadle got up to pull out your chair for you to sit down in—you pretended to swoon into Sebastian before kissing all of their cheeks and taking your seat.
“Where was the treatment for me?” RDJ joked.
“Man, they’re just whipped. But, like, who isn’t for Y/n?” Anthony stage whispered back to him and the crowd literally roared in excitement.
The fifteenth clip was Aaron Taylor-Johnson being interviewed with Lizzie for the Age of Ultron press, most probably.
“So, Aaron, obviously your character—spoilers, sorry—isn’t with us anymore but if you had the chance to explore Pietro more, who would you have wanted to explore a romance with?”
“(Your Character) definitely, Y/N.” Aaron answered with a little sheepish grin at the speed and Lizzie giggled into her palm.
“I’m not making fun, I agree, for myself.” Lizzie commented unprompted.
“Why is that?” The interviewer questioned.
“Why—mate, I think it’s pretty obvious. Y/n is such a stunning person, inside and out, I would have loved to—and obviously her character is extremely sick and I’m certain the relationship between her and Pietro would’ve been the stuff of legends but. . come on, Y/n Y/l/n is my real reason.” Aaron joked.
“Get your own girl, she’s mine.” Lizzie glared.
There were still many minutes left of the video left and that alone astounded you; overcome with cackles, you forwarded the video the your Marvel groupchat—so yall bitches like obsessed with me or sum 🥰🥰🥰

Sometimes you just acted. You didn’t think you just did. So when you were walking on your way to work you saw a young boy run out into the middle of the road, chasing after a ball and the car coming right for him wasn’t stopping, you acted. “Tommy,” You heard a woman yell. You ran to the boy, picking him up in your arms and changing your molecular makeup. The car passed through you and him You brought him back to the sidewalk and as soon as you set him down he became solid.
“Are you okay?” You asked. His eyes grew wide as he stared at you.
“Tommy,” you moved out of the way as a woman with auburn hair pulled him into a hug. “What did I say about not leaving the sidewalk?” You assumed the woman was his mother.
“Sorry Mom,” he said. “I dropped the toy Uncle Tony got me.” A redhead and another young boy joined the duo. You recognized the redhead right away. Natasha Romanoff. The Black Widow.
“Are you okay, kid?” She asked Tommy. He nodded and hugged the redhead. You looked at the other woman and you were staring into the green eyes of Wanda Maximoff.
“Thank you,” she said to you. “I don’t think we could ever repay you.” You blushed at the compliment, scratching the back of your head.
“Don’t worry about it,” you said. “I was at the right place at the right time.” You knelt in front of the two boys. “Now don’t go playing in the road anymore, okay?” You ruffled their hair. “I won’t be there to save you.” Tommy smiled.
“Thank you,” he said. You smiled, straightening up.
“Wait,” Natasha said, stopping you before you walked away. “At least tell us your name.” You introduced yourself.
“Bye,” you waved, continuing on your way to work.
*
“You're famous!” Your co-worker, Emilia, said as soon as you walked into the back room. You clocked in and put on your apron. You worked at a 24hr diner. It paid decently and the hours were flexible so you could still go to school.
“What are you talking about?” You asked. She rushed over to you, her phone open to Twitter. Someone took a video of you saving Tommy and put it on social media. Needless to say, the video blew up. You groaned, placing your face in your hands.
“You should read some of these comments,” Emilia said, scrolling through her phone. “I could break a lot of people’s hearts and tell them your 16.”
“Gross,” you mumbled, walking into the kitchen. You heard Emilia close behind as you made yourself a coffee.
“How does it feel saving the kid of the Black Widow and Scarlet Witch?” You didn’t answer. “Were they hot?”
“You know I wasn’t looking,” you said, blowing on the cup before taking a much-needed sip. “I was a little focused on not making sure their son didn’t get killed.” You rolled your eyes.
“I bet they have a Mommy and Daddy kink,” you scrunch your nose.
“You are just as bad as half the people online,” you said. “Come on, we have work to do.” You tried to focus on your duties at the diner; cleaning tables, taking orders, and helping in the kitchen when needed, instead of what happened today. But the universe had other plans. Someone online found where you worked and shared it with the entire world. The diner was packed which was a blessing and a curse. The day flew by and you were leaving with a lot of tips in your pocket. However, you were exhausted since everyone that stepped through the diner wanted to meet and talk to you. They asked you questions about your powers, if you received something for saving him, were your parents proud, did they offer you a spot on the Avenger team. By the end of the day, you collapsed onto your bed thankfully you had the day off tomorrow.
*
It wasn’t as busy when you came in but you immediately saw the Romanoff-Maximoff family with 2 Avengers you didn’t recognize. You smiled as you walked up to the table. “Staying out of trouble?” You asked the boys. They gasped, turning around in their chairs.
“I don’t know you worked here,” Tommy said, standing up to hug you. You were surprised by that. But you gave him a quick hug back.
“That’s probably because I didn’t tell you,” you tapped his nose which caused him to scrunch it. Natasha introduced you to her sister, Yelena, and her girlfriend, Kate.
“You're the one that saved my nephew,” Yelena said. Her deep Russian accent surprised you. You nodded. “That’s pretty cool.”
“Thank you?” You didn’t mean for it to sound like a question. Wanda chuckled. “Anyways, can I get you guys started with drinks?” You didn’t mean to hover around their table and it wasn’t 100% your fault. Tommy and his brother, Billy, liked to talk your ear off no matter how many times Wanda told them you had other tables to attend to. But you waved her off, saying it was fine. Besides, their colorful imagination was making your shift fly by.
Until the bell went off signaling another customer entered the diner. You looked up out of instinct and almost dropped Kate’s pancakes. It was Jason, your on-again-off-again boyfriend, and housemate. He held the door open for an older couple as his eyes looked for you. It wasn’t hard to find you but you didn’t like the way his eyes screamed that he was upset with you. When he came in he liked you to only have him as your only table. He was best friends with the owner so he could get away with anything. Natasha said your name and you were surprised to see real concern in her green eyes. “Are you okay?” She asked.
“Yeah,” you put on your best customer service smile but she didn’t seem convinced. “Does everything look good?” A chorus of ‘yes’ and ‘looks good’ echoed from the table. “Perfect! I’ll leave you to it. Let me know if you need anything. Enjoy!” You brought back the empty tray to the kitchen before making your way to Jason’s usual spot, trying to calm your raising heartbeat.
*
It didn’t take a Black Widow spy or an Avenger to notice the change in your demeanor. Natasha watched as you walked over to a man, who had to be twice your age. You were blocking his face but Natasha didn’t like the way he was talking to you. She couldn’t hear the conversation but your shoulders were hunched over, drawing more into yourself. ‘Don’t cause a scene,’ Wanda said, placing a hand on her leg. ‘I don’t like it either.’ Natasha began to eat. The food was always good here but now it tasted bitter.
‘What do we do?’ The Black Widow asked. It took a minute for Wanda to reply as you came back to ask how the food was and if they needed anything. Yelena asked for more hot sauce. You were smiling, laughing at a joke Tommy said but it wasn’t as light. Natasha stole a glance at the man and he was staring at you as if he owned you like you were a possession. It made Natasha’s blood boil. He caught her eyes and quickly looked away.
‘We’ll leave her our number,’ Wanda said. ‘If she needs help she can call us.’ Natasha didn’t like it. She wanted to do more but what else could they do when they had no idea what was going on?
*
“Here you go,” Natasha passed you the check. “Food and service were amazing as always,” you felt your cheeks heat up at the compliment.
“Feel free to relax here there is no need to rush out but it was nice seeing you all again,” you said your goodbyes, not leaving the table without getting a hug from the twins. You went to finish cashing them out and you stopped in your tracks. Not because of the very large tip they left you but there was a note.
‘We are a phone call away if you need anything and I mean anything. -Natasha. Her phone number was at the end. You put that copy in your pocket and continued as you normally would, ignoring Jason’s eyes burning a hole in your back.
*
“You disgust me,” Jason said, throwing you against the wall. You whimpered as you hit your head. Stars formed across your vision. “After everything I’ve done for you, this is how you repay me.”
“Baby,” you pleaded with him. “It wasn’t like that.” He twisted his hand in your hair, pulling you close.
“Flirting with a married woman twice your age,” he pulled your hair. Another whimper left your lips. “You are a slut.” He threw you against the wooden table. It broke underneath your weight and the force he threw you. “You think you're a big-time hero, now. That you're better than all of us.” You shook your head, tears falling down your cheeks. He kicked you in the stomach so hard you were pushed against the couch.
“Jason, stop, please,” you pleaded with him grabbing onto his leg.
“You don’t get to tell me to stop,” he yelled. “You are mine. I own you.”
*
You woke up in the apartment alone and with your pants off. Everything ached and there was a light pounding in your skull. Jason was no doubt at a bar. You needed to get out of here. Finding your pants was easy but a sharp cramp in your stomach made you crumble to the ground. Finding some strength, you redressed yourself, found your phone, and walked out of the apartment. You weren’t sure where you were walking to. Your feet moved as your mind was in a haze. There was no place you could go. You were an only child whose parents died during the Blip. The friends you did have moved out of the city or were your co-workers from the dinner but you didn’t want them to see you like this. You sat down on a nearby bench. The pain was becoming all-consuming. You needed help. You unlocked your phone and stared at the recent contact added - Natasha Romanoff, the Black Widow, an Avenger. Did you want to drag them into this mess? Another shooting pain passed through your stomach as you listened to the phone ring. Maybe she wouldn’t answer and you would have to find a place to sleep tonight. “Hello? Who is this?” She answered on the third ring.
“N-Natasha,” you stuttered out.
“Y/n? Is that you?” You nodded, knowing well she couldn’t see you. “What’s wrong?”
“I need help,” you cried. “I-I d-don’t have anyone else to call. I’m sorry. I-” Your lungs began to hurt, you couldn’t get enough air.
“Hey, sh dorogoy,” Natasha whispered. “Where are you? Wanda and I will come to get you.” You heard rustling on her side of the phone.
“I don’t know,” you told her. “I left my apartment and just walked.” A sharp pain ran through you and gasped. “Everything hurts, Nat,” you cried.
“We will be right there, okay? Just stay right there and use your powers to keep yourself safe.” She told you. “I’m going to stay on the phone with you.”
“Okay,” your voice was slurred. “I’m sleepy.” You found yourself laying down on the bench.
“I know you are but you have to stay awake for me. Can you do that?” She asked. “Talk to me. Tell me about yourself.” You hummed.
“I’m an only child. My parents are dead and I have a tattoo on my spine. I-”
*
Natasha was listening as she paced her kitchen waiting for FRIDAY to trace the call. She heard three sets of footsteps coming down the stairs, one set much quicker than the other two. “Anything?” Wanda asked. The Black Widow shook her head.
“FRIDAY is still looking for her,” she heard Yelena yawn behind Wanda.
“Why did you wake us up?” Her sister asked.
“You can go back to bed but we need to watch the boys if they wake up,” Wanda explained.
“Is this about the girl who saved Tommy?” Kate asked, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes. Natasha nodded.
“I found her,” the AI said. “The location has been sent to your car’s GPS. She is 30 minutes.”
“Sweetheart,” Natasha said to you. “We will be there in 30 minutes.” You hummed.
“Nat,” Yelena said. The redhead looked back at her sister. “Keep us updated.” She nodded and followed her wife to the car. Wanda was already in the driver's seat. It was Natasha’s idea to get their place, close enough to the new Avenger tower but in a nice neighborhood for the twins to grow up in. The only thing Wanda wanted was a big kitchen, the rest was up to the Black Widow. Buying a house cemented the fact this was real to Natasha. She was married, raising two brilliant boys, and retired from active missions. Wanda grabbed her hand, squeezing it. She squeezed it back. She hoped they made it to you in time.
*
Natasha saw your still body laying on the bench and she was out of the car before Wanda could put the car in park. She hung up and ran over to you, kneeling next to you. “Hey sweetie,” she whispered. Wanda moved next to her. Your eyes fluttered open. A smile on your face.
“You came,” you whispered. Natasha’s heart shattered.
“Yeah, we did,” Wanda smiled. “Let’s get you someplace safe.” You nodded, sitting up and Natasha watched you try to hide the wince. “Can you stand?” You nodded again but when you stood up you collapsed, a pained cry leaving your lips. Natasha caught you in her arms.
“I got you,” your head fell on her shoulder, whimpering as you squeezed your eyes closed. Natasha didn’t miss the red flash in Wanda’s eyes. She only imagined what was going on inside your head.
“I’m sorry,” you mumbled. “So sorry.”
“You do not need to apologize,” the Black Widow said. “I’m going to lift you, okay?” She felt you nod against her skin. She was surprised at how light you were in her arms.
“Nat,” Wanda whispered as they walked back to the car. The witch opened the backseat and the redhead gently lay you down. She closed the door. “She’s bleeding.” Natasha looked at her hands and they were tainted red with your blood.
“We’ll bring her to the tower,” Natasha ran to the other side of the car and got in next to you. She shifted so your head could rest in her lap.
“FRIDAY,” Wanda said to the AI. “Inform Cho we are headed to the tower with a civilian that needs immediate medical attention.” You whimpered.
“You're going to be okay,” the Black Widow whispered. You shook your head.
“I’m sorry,” Natasha watched your eyes flutter close, frowning. You kept muttering apologies as you succumbed to the darkness.
*
It took a lot for Natasha to let go of you to hand over to Helen and the medical team. She quickly went to the hallway bathroom to wash the blood off. The water turned a light pink. It was part of her job to be surrounded by blood but the sight of your blood on her hands caused her body to heat up with anger. She left the bathroom and found her wife sitting in the empty chairs in the hallway. “The boys are still asleep,” she said as the redhead sat down. “Yelena said she’ll get them ready for school so we can stay.” Natasha nodded, resting her head on the wall. She felt Wanda move her fingers through hers. “It had to be the man from the diner, right?”
“Maybe,” she whispered. They knew nothing about you. The internet seemed to be in love with you for saving Tommy but they didn’t know who you were or what you were a part of.
“I’ll kill him,” Wanda threatened. Natasha saw the tips of her fingers glow red.
“Easy little witch,” She mumbled, kissing the side of her head. “Let’s find out what happened first.” The glow died down. It felt like an eternity before Helen walked out of your room and towards the couple. “Is she okay?” Natasha asked, standing up.
“She will be,” Helen said. “She has 2 broken ribs, a possible concussion, and wood splinters that we had to remove from her arm. She was raped too we did a test,” she sighed, resting her hand on her chin. “Do you know how old she is?” The couple looked at each other shaking their heads. You were a few years older than the twins but not at Kate’s age. That meant you were between 14-18.
“Helen, what’s going on?” The doctor bit her lip.
“She was pregnant,” Natasha’s blood ran cold. “Whatever happened to her caused her to miscarriage.”
“How-how far along was she?” Wanda asked.
“I’m guessing 2 months,” Helen answered. “She’s asleep now. You can go see her and let me know if she needs anything.” They said their thank yous to the doctor and ventured into your room. It was quiet besides the gentle beeping of the heart monitor you were attached to. Natasha didn’t like how still you were beside the gentle rise and fall of your chest. They sat on either side of the bed.
“She’s just a kid, Tash,” Wanda said, brushing some hair out of your face. You didn’t move.
“I know, baby,” Natasha remembered you telling her that your parents were dead. Did you have anyone else? “We’ll be here for her.”
*
You woke up slowly. The bright lights overhead caused you to groan. “Sweetheart,” you turned your head towards Natasha’s voice. There was a smile on her face, almost motherly. “Hi, how are you feeling?”
“Water,” you whispered. Your throat felt raw and uncomfortable. Natasha brought a cup of water to your lips. You drank all of the water finding relief. “Thank you,” she put the cup down.
“Of course,” you sat up, wincing as you moved but you couldn’t look at Natasha.
“I don’t want to talk about it,” you saw her nod her head out of the corner of your eye.
“That’s fine,” she said. “But there are some things we need to talk about regarding your health. We can wait for Wanda if you want,” you nodded.“Hey,” you felt her fingers on your arm. “We are here for you, okay? And whatever happened is not your fault.”
“Okay,” you whispered but you didn’t believe her. It wasn’t long before Wanda returned with a doctor behind her. She introduced herself as Helen and she went over the list of your injuries; broken ribs, a mild concussion, and wood splinters in your arms.
“Now, I have to tell you something that may be hard to hear,” you didn’t like her tone. “You were pregnant for about 2 months but due to the nature of your injuries you had a miscarriage.” You felt the color drain from your face. Pregnant. You were pregnant. You moved your hand over your stomach. Your periods were always irregular so nothing seemed wrong. You weren’t sure what was happening around you. The world around you turned to white noise. You were pregnant, probably with Jason’s child but you made him angry.
“Sweetheart,” you snapped to look at Wanda. She looked worried. “You're safe here. Do you know who the father was?” She asked. You hesitated but nodded. You weren’t 100% sure if it was Jason’s.
“Was he the one that did this to you?” Natasha hesitantly asked.
“It was my fault,” you defended him. “He loves me. He didn’t mean to hurt me.” Wanda whispered your name but you couldn’t look at her. Tears were blurring your vision.
“This isn’t love.”
“Yes it is,” you said. “He loves me and it was my fault -”
“Sweetheart,” Natasha touched your arm but you flinched from her. Her face fell.
“I think I want to be alone,” you told them. The couple glanced at each other, having a silent conversation. “Please.”
“Okay, we know this is a lot,” Wanda said, standing up. “We’ll come back later.” You didn’t acknowledge them as they left your room. You felt cold, so immensely cold, as your fingers danced around your stomach and each injury he gave you. Oh, how you wished your mom and dad were here. You missed your mom’s hugs and the scent that always seemed to calm you down or your dad’s corny jokes that brought a smile to your face. You angrily whipped the tears that fell. The worst part of them being gone, you didn’t get a chance to say goodbye.
*
To your surprise, Wanda and Natasha kept their promise and visited when they could. Their visits ended up being one-sided conversations - mostly them trying to get information on what happened. They asked for your age, Jason’s name and age, and if he worked at the diner. But you remained quiet. Too ashamed to tell them the truth about him. They weren’t deterred by your stand-offish behavior, it somehow made them more determined to make you feel comfortable around them. Rather it was Wanda, Natasha, or both of them, they brought you something. A blanket to keep you warm, books and magazines for you to read, and Tommy’s old DS to keep you entertained. They even contacted your school to explain your situation and collect your missing schoolwork.
It was odd, you had to admit, having people care about you. It didn’t make sense. What did you do to deserve their kindness? You were nobody compared to them. So why were they being so nice?
On a sunny afternoon, the couple snuck in a milkshake and french fries for you to snack on. You were sipping on the chocolate milkshake while Wanda was reading and Natasha looked over a mission report. “I’m 16,” you said to them, breaking the silence. “Technically speaking I was a part of the population that was blipped so I don’t know how that affects my age,” you put your drink down. “During those 5 years, my parents died; my mom from cancer and my dad from suicide. Jason gave me a place to live and food and loved me when I was alone.”
“How old were you when you met Jason?” Natasha asked.
“15,” your voice was barely above a whisper. “He was 25.” You began to play with the loose threads of the blanket they brought you.
“Is this the first time he’s hit you?” Your instinct was to lie like you did with Emilia and everyone else at the diner but it seemed like it was a bad idea to lie to two Avengers.
“No,” you whispered. “But this was the worst. He was mad at me and kept saying it was my fault.”
“What did he say that you did?” You felt your face burn as you remembered why he was upset. “You don’t have to tell us,” Natasha added quickly.
“He was..” Protective. Jealous. “Territorial,” you said. “He didn’t like me talking or flirting with other people. That was a lot of our fights and I stayed because I have nowhere else to go,” you sighed. “I bet you think I’m so stupid.”
“No,” Wanda took your hand in hers. “You are not stupid. He took advantage of you,” you whipped away the tears that fell with your free hand. “You are not alone. We are here.”
“And we aren’t going anywhere.”
*
When Helen cleared you Natasha and Wanda offered you a room with them. It took a lot of convincing but you moved in with them. Jason all but disappeared. He wasn’t there when you got the few possessions from the apartment and you overheard Natasha and Wanda in the kitchen one night that they still couldn’t find him. As you lived in the Romanoff-Maximoff household you all forgot about him. You forgot what this type of love felt like not having it since you were taken from your family. Wanda made sure all of your homework was done by the time dinner was ready. Natasha seemed to have food on her and she would pass you snacks. She even got you to join her on some of your runs.
It had been 4 months since you moved in with them. “Do you want us to see if Yelena or Kate can come over?” Wanda asked. The twins were playing video games in the living room and you were making a small snack for you and the boys. The couple had to go to the tower for a quick meeting. Although they were retired from active meetings they still help to provide insight. They didn’t like leaving you at home.
“We’ll be fine,” Tommy said.
“Besides Y/n is here,” Billy added. You rolled your eyes as Natasha walked over to you, stealing a grape from the plate. You glared at her.
“Are you sure you’ll be fine?” She asked you. You nodded.
“Yes, you said it will be a quick meeting,” you put the extra fruit back in the fridge. “And when you get back you can bitch about how the meeting should have been an email.” Natasha gasped.
“Language,” you smiled, bringing the fruit plate into the living room.
“We know the rules. Don’t worry about us,” you sat on the couch, your feet tucked underneath you, and opened the book you were currently reading.
“Text us if anything happens,” Wanda kissed the twins’ forehead and you were surprised as she kissed yours.
“Bye Mom,” the boys said. You smiled as they left the house. As the door closed Tommy let out a heavy sigh.
“They worry so much.” He said.
“They just care about you,” you defended, not looking up from your book.
“They care about you too,” Billy said. You glanced at the boy and he was looking at you with a smile. You smiled back and went back to reading.
*
You weren’t sure how long it was but Natasha and Wanda were still not home when the doorbell rang. You looked at the twins but they were engrossed with their video game. “Hey, are your moms expecting someone?” Billy shrugged.
“No clue,” the doorbell rang again. You sighed, closing your book. As you stood up a voice behind the door caused you to freeze.
“I know you're in there, little shadow. Come out to play.”
“Billy, Tommy, go upstairs and call your moms.” Jason started to giggle at the door handle.
“We can help,” Tommy said. They were training powers but they were still unpredictable.
“Go!” You ordered as the front door burst open. Tommy grabbed Billy’s hand and used his super speed to bring them both upstairs. Jason stood there, a pistol in his hand and he looked like he hadn’t bathed or slept in months. You just had to keep him away from the twins and wait till Wanda and Natasha got here.
“Hello beautiful,” he stalked over to you. “You got me in a lot of trouble.”
“Trouble?” You questioned, taking a few steps back with your hands in the air. You wanted to keep some distance from him. “Who are you in trouble with?” He laughed, pointing the gun at you.
“My employers,” his smile still seemed to send a chill down your spine. “Did you think I could ever willingly love you?” He asked. “You were a job, an assignment.” Your heart began to pound against your ribs. Could he hear it? You were backing up into the dining room.
“Who wants me?” You found yourself asking.
“It doesn’t matter,” he said. “You’ll be dead and I’ll crave up those little brats for good measure,” you let out a shaky breath and lowered your hands.
“You aren’t getting to them,” you said. “You’ll have to get through me first.”
*
Natasha was pouring a cup of coffee for her and Wanda. They were taking a short break before finishing up. She felt arms wrap around her waist and the warmth of her wife pressed against her back. “I wanna go home.” She whined. Natasha chuckled, turning around to see Wanda’s noise pinched. She kissed it.
“We are almost done, baby,” she handed Wanda her coffee. “I’m thinking of pizza and movie night?” Her phone rang. She pulled it out of her pocket and saw it was Billy. Showing Wanda the caller ID before putting the call on speaker. “Hi, bud.”
“Mom,” he was whispering and his voice was shaky.
“Sweetheart, what’s wrong?” Wanda asked.
“The bad man is here,” he whispered. They weren’t sure what he was talking about. “The bad man that hurt Y/n.” The couple dropped their coffee on the floor and sprinted towards their car. “Please hurry.” A gunshot went off and both of the boys let out a quick squeak.
“Boys, I need you to stay right there,” Natasha said.
“But what if she’s hurt? We can help.”
“Stay hidden. We are on our way.”
*
Natasha felt her heart beating against her ribs as she saw their door broken down. They called out your name but you didn’t respond. The Black Widow had her gun out as she searched the bottom floor. They made it to their dining room and found a man laying on top of you. Natasha ran over, kicking the man off of you and his body slumped to the side with a bullet wound in his stomach. Your eyes were wide, hands shaking as you held the gun in your hand. “Hey sweetheart,” Natasha put her gun away. “Can I have that?” You nodded, handing her the gun. Natasha removed the magazine from the gun and put it on the ground next to her. Wanda knelt next to you and helped you sit up. Your eyes kept glancing at this still form but Wanda brought you into her arms, sliding you from the body. You were shaking in her arms. Natasha walked over to him and checked for a pulse but she shook her head when she found none. Wanda held you tighter.
“Billy and Tommy,” you whispered. “Are they okay?” Wanda.
“Do you want to go find them?” You nodded. Natasha sent a quick text to Sam and met her wife upstairs. You were waiting for her to emerge from their bedroom and didn’t take long for Wanda to bring out a new shirt for you. Yours had blood on it. You changed quickly, leaving the bloody shirt on the floor, and continued to the guest room. “Billy, Tommy, it’s safe.” The twins didn’t need to be told twice before they ran out of the closet and straight into you. The force knocked you to the ground.
“You can’t do that,” Tommy said, hitting your chest. “Why do you always have to be the hero?” He cried. “We could have helped.” He kept hitting you but his hits got softer while he cried against you.
“Hey,” Natasha said, kneeling and placing a gentle hand on his back. “I know you are feeling a lot but we need to stop hitting her.” You overcame your shock and hugged the twins tight.
“I didn’t want you to get hurt.” You said.
“But you're our sister,” Billy said. “We can’t lose you.” You looked at Natasha and Wanda at the term Billy called you. The couple smiled at you. They tried to convey all the emotions they were
“I’m right here,” you said. “I’m not going anywhere, I promise.”
*
Wanda walked out of the bathroom with a smile on her face. Her bed was full of Natasha, the twins, and you. The boys were fast asleep, cuddling against you. There was just enough space next to Natasha for her to squeeze in. “We are going to need a bigger bed if this continues to be a thing,” Wanda climbed into bed. Natasha was running her fingers through your hair. “How are you doing, sweetheart?” You shrugged.
“I know he was bad and he would have hurt me or worse the twins but I didn’t want to kill him.” You whispered. Natasha sighed.
“I’m sorry you had to be put in that position,” Natasha said. You nodded, closing your eyes as you enjoyed the feeling of her hand. Wanda gently nudged her wife’s shoulder, nodding her head. “About what Billy said.” Your eyes shut open.
“Like you said there were a lot of emotions,” you shrugged again. Wanda tried to keep her powers at bay but she could feel loneliness washing over you.
“Well, Natasha and I want to make what Billy said official.”
“I’m sorry. What?” You questioned.
“We want to adopt you,” your jaw dropped and Wanda giggled, using her pointer finger to close your mouth.
“Are you serious?” You asked. The couple nodded. Tears swelled in your eyes and without hesitation you jumped up and brought them into a hug.
“Ah,” Billy gasped.
“Is there an Earthquake?” Tommy asked, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes. “Hey, what’s wrong?” You ended the hug and whipping the tears out of your eyes.
“Nothing,” you said. “Just happy.”
“Alright,” Wanda said. “We need to readjust so I don’t fall off the bed.” It was you in the middle with Tommy and Billy on either side and Natasha and Wanda still on the edge of the bed.
“Thank you,” you whispered, eyes closed as the exhaustion of the day caught up to you.
“No need to thank us,” Natasha whispered.
“We are a family,” Wanda said. “We’ll keep you safe.”

drunken love
tara carpenter x fem!reader
Tara and R haven't had their first kiss yet. At a party, R gets a little bold.
Warnings: alcohol, smoking
word count: 1.9k
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tara pulled up to the house in which the party she told you about was held. You could see the bright neon lights through the windows, each one packed with people. The music was blaring so loud you could hear it within Tara's car. A few people were out in the front yard, where they laughed stupidly at their moronic drinking games. As you stepped out, you shivered instantly, surprised at the bitter cold. Tara shut her door and walked over to you, offering you her hand. You blushed and laced your fingers with hers, letting her lead you to the party. Even before you entered, you could feel the vibration of the music in your feet.
You and Tara have been dating for the past few weeks. It was fairly new, but you've never felt feelings like this with anyone before. You looked over at her as you walked, and she smiled at you, making your stomach churn. When you opened the door, a thick, pungent odor of sweat and alcohol hit your nose.
"Oh, Jesus," you muttered, scrunching your nose in disgust.
"Oh, relax. We all know you'll be drinking tonight," Tara smirked teasingly beside you.
"Well yeah but, I always forget how gross parties are."
She giggled at your complaints and took you to go find some drinks. Bodies of other teenagers pressed against your own, cups in every hand. The kitchen was extremely crowded, with everyone trying to drink their nerves away. Grabbing a cup, Tara poured a dark, amber colored drink for the both of you.
"Shot to start off the night?" she asked, wiggling her eyebrows playfully.
"Hell yeah." The bitterness of the drink burned pleasantly in your throat.
"Hey!" you heard a voice call. It was Chad, accompanied by Mindy and some other people you've never seen before. "You guys came!" he exclaimed excitedly. He walked over to Tara and put his arm around her, a wide grin spread across his face.
You rolled your eyes in distaste. It was so obvious he had a crush on her. You wanted to like Chad, he was sweet and easy to talk to, but his feelings for Tara made that impossible. A knot twisted and tightened in your gut as you watched them. Bitterly, you poured yourself another shot, downed it, and slammed your cup on the counter.
"I'm gonna go find my friends," you told Tara and left before she could respond. You liked Tara's friends, but you didn't wanna be around Chad's insatiable flirting with your own girlfriend. Plus, you weren't one to make a scene, so you let her be. You made your way through the house, searching for familiar faces. All around you people laughed obnoxiously loud, some bumping into you. Couples made out aggressively in every corner.
"Hey Y/N!" a voice called.
It was your friend Scarlett, along with everyone else in your group, spread out across a couch. Gaby's legs laid across Scarlett, red solo cup in hand, while talking to Noah. Noah's eyes were hooded, evident from the cart in his hand. He pressed it to his lips and inhaled, the blue light illuminating the pen. They all turned and smiled lazily at you as you approached the couch.
"Come sit!" Scarlett exclaimed excitedly, patting an empty space next to her. Her blonde hair was curled perfectly and her makeup highlighted all of her best features. You sat next to her and she instantly shoved a drink in your hands. "Soooo, how are things with Tara?" Scarlett asked.
You blushed upon hearing her name, shaking your head and letting your hair hide your face.
"Things are good. She's really sweet and I really like her," you said, shrugging your shoulders. You took a sip of the mystery concoction Scarlett handed you. It was pleasantly sweet, just enough to compliment the bitter taste of alcohol.
"Awwww. You're so in loooooove." Gaby cooed.
"Ugh, shut up, Gaby," you groaned, playfully shoving her.
"Yo, Y/N, wanna play beer pong?" Noah asked.
"Sure, why not? Lemme hit that first though," gesturing to his cart. He tossed it to you with a knowing smirk. You brought it up to your lips, held down the button, and inhaled. The vapor expanded in your lungs, before you exhaled and let it out in a slow, hazy puff of smoke. "Alright, ready to get your ass kicked?" you taunted Noah.
"You wish."
The hours quickly went by, and you were about to win your second game out of three. Your body tingled with intoxication as you grabbed the small white ball. Brows furrowing in concentration, you tossed the ball shakily, and it somehow sank right into the cup, beer splashing out onto the table. You threw your hands up in victory and watched as Noah chugged the cup. When you turned to the crowd around you, you were met with Tara's gaze of amusement.
"Taraaaaaa! I won beer pong! Twice!" you slurred with glee and you put up three fingers proudly to emphasize your pride. You stumbled closer and threw your arms around her.
"Wow. You're super drunk. Remind me to never leave you unattended at a party." she said giggling.
"I'm not even that drunk, silly."
"Right," she said, unconvinced. "Let's get you upstairs, okay?" She put an arm around you and carefully led you back inside. The rest of the party was a blur. Literally. Your head spun dizzily, and your arms swung numbly at your sides. It felt as if you were floating, grounded only by Tara's arm wrapped around your shoulders.
Somehow, you made it up the stairs without falling, though you came close. Tara found an empty bedroom and tugged you inside. You flopped on the bed, eyes closed, and dragged her with you. She laid her head beside yours, enjoying your inebriated state. She brought her hand up to your face and tucked a strand of hair behind your ear. Your eyes shot open at the sudden contact. It spread warmth throughout your whole body, as if setting it on fire. You wanted, no, needed more of her touch. Scooting closer to her, you gazed into her deep, chocolate brown eyes. They were dilated, no doubt from her own intoxication, and they widened a bit as you got closer. Though you were dating, you've never been this close to her; just inches away.
"Taraaa," you slurred.
"Yes?" she asked playfully.
"You're so prettyyyy." you whined, saying the words as if it physically hurt you. Sometimes, you swore it did. She flushed at your comment, then opened her mouth to say something, but you cut her off. "Your hair is just- so perfect. And your eyes are so so so so sooooo beautiful. I could stare at them all day long." you said gleefully. She smiled at you and tried to reply but you cut her off yet again. "Your face is just perfectttttt. I love your freckles so much. They make you look sooooo cuteeee. And your lips...god your lips are so..." you trailed off and zeroed in on her smooth, supple lips. "...pretty...god I just wanna..." your words fell again, and thoughts of her lips pressed against yours caused your body to erupt in flames once more.
You yearned to kiss them, but the fear of the uncrossed territory between you two scared you. A brief flash of Chad's arm around her crossed your mind, and that fear was quickly replaced with jealousy. You knew that he probably thinks about kissing her too, and that if Tara wasn't currently involved with you, she would likely be with him. The thought angered you, and desire and lust over Tara clouded your mind. Refusing to contemplate this anymore, you leaned over and finally pressed your lips against hers. She gasped quietly into your mouth, eyes wide at your sudden bold move. You cupped her cheek and pressed your body against hers, and she quickly melted into the kiss. It started soft and tender, both of you a little scared to take the kiss any further. But soon, any and all nerves washed away and the kiss quickly heated up. Air didn't matter to either of you as you kissed each other fervently. Her hand slid up your shoulder and into your hair, tangling in it and tugging it lightly. You intertwined your legs with hers, and brought an arm around her waist, pulling her even closer. There wasn't anymore space between you two, both desperately craving more contact. You moved to lay on top of her and she sighed, letting you take control. Your lips moved to her neck, where you sucked and bit, leaving trails of bruises all across her collarbone. She moaned quietly at the pleasant sting of your teeth against her skin.
"More," she whispered. You complied with a smirk, and continued your assault on her neck and lips for hours.
The next morning you woke up with a throbbing headache. Sunlight shined brightly right in your eyes, as if it was teasing you, urging you to wake up and face your inevitable hangover. You grumbled bitterly, desperately wanting to go back to sleep. But the nausea in your stomach made that impossible.
You rubbed your eyes, finally taking in your surroundings. Noticing you weren't in your own room, your heartbeat quickened.
"Morning," Tara said quietly beside you. You turned sharply towards her, then relaxed, realizing you were in Tara's room. Her eyes were still closed and her body was still covered in the warm comforter. "How do you feel?" Her morning voice was attractively raspy, and you knew you would never get used to it.
"Like shit," you groaned.
"Do you remember anything?"
"Oh god, what did I do?" you whined, sinking back into the pillows.
"Well, for starters, you won beer pong. Twice." Brief images of you at the table sinking ping pong balls into cups and chugging beer flashed through your head.
"And thennnn, since you were super drunk, I took you to a bedroom to get you to sober up..." she said slyly with a smirk.
"Why did you say it like that..?" you nervously asked, scared to see what stupid thing you did this time.
"Well..." she trailed off and sat up, letting the covers fall from her body. Your heart stopped. Her neck was covered in dark purple bruises, surrounded by angry irritated skin. Her hair was disheveled, and her lips were stained with your lipstick. Your jaw went slack, eyes almost bulging out of your skull. "You uh...got a little bold," she giggled.
"Oh...my god," you whispered in disbelief. Mortified, you retreated back into the covers and pulled a pillow over your head. "I'm so sorry, oh my god."
She laughed at your muffled response and lifted the pillow off of you. "It's okay it was super cute." Laying back down beside you, she grabbed your jaw and turned your head, forcing you to look at her. "...And hot."
You flushed at her remark, and closed your eyes in embarrassment. She laughed, then climbed over your body and laid against you. Wrapping the blanket around her, you let her relax into your arms. She sighed happily, and pressed little kisses all over your face.
"Wait did we...?" you started but didn't finish, afraid to say the word.
"We didn't fuck if that's what your asking."
Relief washed over you. As appealing as that idea was, it'd probably be much better if you two were sober. She then pressed kisses all the way up to your ear lobe, nibbling and tugging softly with her teeth.
"But if you want to, I'm down." she husked in your ear.

omg I have an idea (you don’t have to write it if you don’t want to) and I have to put it somewhere.
so rafe is this like super mean, big guy right? wrong. imagine r touching him and he just freaks out because ??the love of his life is touching him?? and r just giggles bc of the effect they have on him
This is suchhhhh a cute idea!! i ❤️ rafe. I hope you like this!! I don’t know if he did much freaking out, but she does much loving on him.
“I told him forty.” Rafe grumbles, fumbling with a pack of camels. His big hands rip at the new packaging frustratedly. He gives up and uses his teeth.
Topper winces. “That’s what told him.”
“So what’s the fuckin problem.” Rafe looks up, spitting plastic.
His knee bounces under the white country club table. “He wants a discount.”
“Bullshit.”
“I know,” he breathes. “So I told him,”
“You’re not giving him a discount.”
Topper laughs nervously. “If you’d let me finish-“
“He’s gotta perfect amount of his mommy’s money to be spending on drugs.”
“Exactly-“
“You don’t give figure eight kids discounts.”
“Rafe,” Topper starts, frustrated with his lack of sentence.
“Rafe!” Your voice echos outside the private room excitedly at the same time. He sits straighter, smile fighting his face at the shriek of his name. Toppers still here. Rafe’s stoic.
Top sighs exasperatedly, leaning back in his chair. He’s not finishing that sentence.
The door flings open, your hand tight on the fancy handle. “Rafe.” You bounce. He watches greedily over you, this doesn’t deter you. “Guess what.”
“You’ve waited too long to give me my hello kiss?” He taps his pen against his thigh, elbows resting on the chair.
“No, silly,” You laugh, airily walking over to him to plant a kiss on his cheek. He swerves, smiling against your lips instead, reveling in your laugh as you pull away. His arms wrap under your butt. “Sarah’s having a party tonight.”
Tops eyes flit up curiously.
“What?” Rafe’s face drops.
You squeal. “We have to go.”
“It’s my house too, babe, I think I’ll be there against my will.” His eyes flit to Topper.
“Not at your house.” You pout, pushing his hair back. His eyes fight against fluttering closed. “Joint party, Scarlett’s house.”
“Oh, we’re not going.” He decides, squeezing the flesh of the back of your thigh.
“What,” Topper laments, no mind of his own. If Rafe’s not going, obviously he can’t go. You both ignore him.
“Please, Rafe.” You whine, E’s extended longer than Top thinks necessary. You walk behind him to grip his shoulders.
He short circuits. You’re warm behind him, the perfume you spritzed this morning making its way to his nose. You knead your fingers into his back. Digging into the tense muscle he tries so hard to relax around you.
“Baby,” He grumbles, wary of your hands on his shoulder. “That shit’ll be so lame.”
You sigh working deeper into his muscle. “You know I love Sarah.” Then afterthought. “And Scarlett.”
He holds back a noise at your thumbs pressing into his back. Grabbing your wrist, his warm fingers press into the tender skin they find.
“Can’t see you.” He murmurs.
You round the chair, sitting on his lap. His arms wrap around you heavily and securely. He bounces his knee a couple times as you brush hair out of eyes, both wary of Top three feet away. “Better?”
He grunts a nod, smiling at you brilliantly. “So much.”
Your hands card through his hair, raking gently against his scalp. His hair is soft, clean, the smell of his shampoo hitting you easily. You tug, gently, his hair back, till he’s looking up at you lazily.
“You know you have hazel in your eyes?”
His demeanor changes. “Stop.”
“Im serious,” You laugh, head tilting to the side to eye Topper. “Someone’s cranky.”
“I am not cranky.” Rafe scoffs, unable to bring your hands from his hair.
“Then play nice.” You whisper, cool air fanning Rafe’s face. “Let’s go to the party.”
He frowns, overly aware of your dancing fingers. “You know what you’re doing.”
“If loving on my sweet boyfriend was a crime-“ you start.
“Then you’d be in jail by now.” He finishes.
“Exactly!” You grin, leaning down to kiss his jaw. His eye twinkles. “Let me love on you in public.”
He scoffs softly, bouncing the knee you sit on. You squeak at the sudden movement, turning to laugh prettily in Toppers direction. He can’t help but to smile through his annoyance.
“What d’you think, Top?” Rafe sniffs at the way you’ve worked him.
“Well,” He starts in the shifty tone of his. “Uh, I think it’d be good-“
“He wants to see your sister.” You laugh.
“Y/N.” The younger boy glares pointedly across the table. “Seriously?”
“I don’t give a shit who Sarah’s doing this week.” He gruffs out. You push his shoulder.
“Be nice.” You whisper.
Rafe rolls his eyes, big hand splaying over your face and pushing away from him.
“Hey!” You muffle as he smiles.
“You wanna go?” He looks at Top.
“I guess.” He shrugs nonchalantly.
Rafe snorts at him. “Cool.” He lets up on your face. “We’ll go.”
“Yay!” You jump, wrapping your arms around him. He leans into the touch, uncaring of the company.
What a simp, Rafe sulks.

you and scarlett just had a baby. you’ve been a great help to your wife by carrying the car seat with the tiny bundle around, waking up at night to change or feed the baby, to tidy the house, makings meals for you both and the baby. you basically became your wife right hand to not make her feel more tired than she already is.
however scarlett, grateful for the incredible support and love that you flows towards her, she misses you. oh, how she misses your lips on her body, your soft and long hands, your muscled thighs, your moans, everything.
she looks at the baby sleeping in the crib, the baby monitor beside him and the one in the blonde’s hand, she decides she needs you right now. you on the other hand are in the living room tidying up a bit, your hands full of rattle toys and tiny socks that your baby seems not liking much.
your wife comes behind you with her gentle feet touching the carpeted floor, soft arms wrapping around your torso and your eyes drink up the sight of your beautiful wife wrapped up in nothing but in your white work shirt. a single button buttoned in the middle of her free boobs right where her soft and hard nipples lay beneath.
the shirt hugs her body fully arriving at her naked legs, you can clearly see some of her milk have dirtied the shirt but this makes you just more drunk of her, her raspy voice low as she leans by your hear. you hum softly, the hand that cradles a rattle gently puts down the soft toy to unclasp scarlett’s blonde locks. you love her hairs loose and painting her chest and shoulders.
scarlett sigh softly as she guide your other hand to her throbbing boobs, she knows how obsessed you are of her breasts. soft round mounds that spills from your grasp as they’re too big and now filled of milk. oh, you would die happily in her chest without a whimper of pain.
seated on the couch and the blonde actress straddling your lap, a hand land gently on her hip while the other unbutton the single button clasped of your shirt. a single growl fall from your lips as you see a nipple leaking.
her hands gently lower a bit the shirt, her chest free and unmarked by too much time. your curly head softly start to deep in kissing, nipping, licking everything on its pats. you have memorised every inch and curve of her body.
soft hand runs through your curls, “baby, can you help me relieve a bit of pain mhh?” that raspiness that comes our her throat makes you jelly in her hands. despite never drinking her milk you nod, you’re sure she will taste divine. just like her perfect pussy.
your suckling mixes with her moans of pleasure, her breasts start to empty a bit while she start leaking down and you can feel her juices on your lap. “just like that baby, you like my milk, don’t you pretty girl?”
you can barely nod because you feel so drunk and in haze, cradling her soft breasts and suckling her nipples dry it’s something you could never imagine but it’s happening right here and you hope this never ends.
you hope this is a taste of paradise made only for you where your wife is the forbidden fruit and you’re trying to not fall into it, but failing miserably. and you fall and fall without stopping as her moans and her perfect manicure grips at your curls and scalp till you land on the ground.
the milk is finished, her soft rounds emptied much to your dismay, but the game have just started and you plan to play into the long run while your baby sleep and hopefully don’t wake up.

They say people who have the surgery are doomed for life.
How could they choose to never love again; how could they deliberately go through with the surgery knowing they would never have those emotions again?
But in actuality, it was the choice of forgetting about that love.
People don’t know the grievances and the strength it takes to choose to forget the love of your life. They don’t know the despair of being in love with someone wholeheartedly knowing they don’t love you back.
That you would never remember those emotions for whom you loved.
You saw it as this: if you couldn’t live to love your person, you wouldn’t bear to love at all.
So in that way, you won.
You gained the power to no longer grieve for your love because you simply couldn’t remember him.
Since hanahaki disease was rare, there weren’t too many recovery patients to base knowledge on since many of the victims chose to die rather than to be saved.
So you were honestly going in blind.
Nami would sometimes ask you if you could remember anything, a nervous look on her face, you knew she remembered your past love, but the doctor had told her to not mention anything to you in your recovery period. You think she asked out of curiosity.
Or maybe fear?
But every time you’d just tell her that you couldn’t, your head would hurt if you thought too hard and too long about who you had lost.
If you could remember specific memories, they weren't fully visualized, they were static, like when an old TV was out of range from the signal and would struggle to picture the channel.
All you could remember was his silhouette, his figure blurry and his name was always on the tip of your tongue but you could never place your finger on it.
You remember during your first check-up, the doctor had asked you if you could describe your past love,
“I'm not sure.”
Your voice had been wobbly like you were on the verge of crying. Tears had pricked your eyes, along with the feeling of not being able to breathe even though those damn flowers were gone.
Not being able to understand why?
That feeling went away a week later.
You laugh at yourself now, chiding yourself for being ridiculous back then.
At what point could you have allowed yourself to be so deeply in love with someone that it was killing you? You could never understand.
It was an absurd, abysmal idea that you had ever gotten to that point.
While the doctor said the following months would be difficult getting used to your new life of having one less emotion, you were fine.
It had helped that Nami had stayed by your side, and when she couldn’t Sanji would.
Sanji was an angel.
He tended to your every need, always made sure you didn’t lift a finger even after you told him multiple times you could do it yourself.
But he always reassured you he didn’t mind.
You were sad to hear that he stopped seeing Pudding. It was honestly too bad because she was good for him, he deserves someone who can love and care for him just as much as he cares for others.
Nevertheless, you were glad he was here for you.
The sound of music playing softly in the background comforts you as you shuffle through your kitchen making dinner.
You and Sanji have recently started having weekly dinners with each other, an idea he came up with.
“We can update each other about our lives, good ole fashion face-to-face interaction.”
“I don’t think my life is going to change too much in the week we don’t see each other, Sanji”
The sound of the door ringing pulls you from your thoughts, drying your hands with a towel, you walk over to the front door.
The cool November breeze greets you as soon as you open the door, Sanji’s figure fills your view.
The coat he’s wearing to protect himself from the wind encapsulates him in a way that makes you smile instinctively, you can see his red ears peeking from under his blond hair.
“Come in, come in, I was just finishing up dinner.”
“Oh, can I help you with anything else?” he offers while shrugging off his jacket and hanging it on the coat rack beside the front door. “Or are you not allowing me into your kitchen again?” he smirks toward you.
You roll your eyes and scoff, “It’s my turn to make dinner, you cook for a living, it's my time to shine now, dude.” He chuckles and begins to set the table for the two of you.
The warm food fills the plate in your hand, placing it on the counter, you grab another plate. “So, how’s work?”
Sanji grabs both of the plates and brings them to the table, setting them down, he looks back at you. “Ah, the old man’s got me working late most days.”
You smile softly at the scene; since you can remember you and Sanji have been able to work in tandem. Back when Nami first introduced you, it was like a pull connecting the two of you, also guiding and leading the two of you in perfect harmony.
It was nice.
Finishing your dinner, Sanji grabs his cup, “That was delicious, thank you.”
“Well I did have a decent teacher,” you say into the glass smiling, gulping down the liquid you set it back down and look at Sanji.
He goes to say something before he’s interrupted by a cough.
Sanji turns his head and coughs into a handkerchief he pulled from his pocket, he quickly wipes his mouth before looking back at you, “Sorry ‘bout that.”
Shaking your head in acknowledgement you begin cleaning up the dinner table.
“Oh I forgot, I bought flowers, they’re in the living room let me grab them real quick.” Sanji stands quickly.
Turning, you watch him walk away, not catching the lone petal falling out of his pocket.
♡‧₊˚
Vinsmoke Sanji has done a lot of things.
Some of which he regrets, but others he stands by, but there was one that met both criteria.
And that was you.
He was glad he met you, that he was able to spend time being with you, loving you, and knowing that you loved him back.
But he regrets hurting you. He regrets letting himself be temporarily infatuated with Pudding. Sanji had laughed in the face of fate, and in return, he got what he deserved.
His impending end.
The petals had shown up the day you went into the hospital.
While you were given a second chance at life, Sanji had just signed his away.
He remembers the memory of Nami telling him what had happened. He had it permanently seared into his brain, never allowing himself to forget the moment.
Her eyes were red, face hot with anger when she pulled up to his house.
“You absolute idiot.” He hadn’t even fully opened the door before she was swearing at him, cursing him to the ends of the earth over what he had done. “You did this. You caused that pain…if I hadn't found her…,” her hands had started punching his chest.
“She would have been gone, all because of you.”
A part of Sanji died that day.
So when he got the same disease you had, he knew he deserved it.
Wasn’t it only right that he got the same death sentence that almost took you away?
It was slow at first, from what Nami had told him about your situation, Sanji knew this was how it started.
The first few weeks were bearable, he could go about his daily life without causing any suspicion. No one would ask if he was okay or anything, just simply being able to cough into a tissue and discard it quickly.
Then the blossoms came.
After one terrible night of constantly coughing up blood and flower blossoms, Sanji did some research. He knew the full blooms were next along with the finishing blow of the roots. It had only been a month since you had your surgery, and yet his hanahaki was a lot more accelerated in comparison to yours.
A month since he had realized he was deathly in love with you.
But he could bear this burden. Who was he to complain about his death trickling closer than it normally should?
Sanji remembered the moment he realized his disease would finish him more swiftly, that he was faster along than he typically should be; whether it was because the universe knew you could never love him back or it was simply his punishment for what he did.
Probably both.
Even though he knew he could easily fix the problem, he didn't have the right to get a second chance.
How could he?
How long did you spend hiding your condition away, not even when he had broken things off, before then? How long were you hurting because you knew he was lying when he said he loved you?
The gall he would have to have to go through with the surgery?
Absolutely not.
But deep in his heart, he also couldn’t bring himself to forget you. He’d rather be a coward and a liar than choose a life undeserving of him.
He would rather die than forget you, to never be able to love you again would be death itself.
He hated himself for what he did to you. The insolence he had to hurt someone as caring as you, why did he take advantage of that?
He himself every day.
If he had to live with constantly coughing up blood and bending over the toilet puking up flower petals just for you to live your life? Yeah, he could do that. He could live with the pain of knowing that you would never love him back.
That you could never love him back.
It quite literally was in human nature that he would never be saved unless he did the surgery, since you couldn’t even love anyone anymore.
Sanji’s hand lifts his handkerchief up to his mouth, his body heaving with a hard cough of petals.
He sighs.

The TV light shines on both you and Sanji’s forms as the movie comes to an end, the ending credits miniaturizing as the screen recommends a shitty Christmas movie that has the both of you turning to the other.
“That was an unnecessarily long movie.” Sanji’s comment makes you laugh.
“Right? God, it was dragging on for a really long time.” Shaking his head he stands up to place the popcorn bucket on the kitchen counter.
You follow him holding the cups that held lemonade two hours ago. “It’s getting late, I should probably go.”
“Yeah, probably, oh wait-I bought something for you, meant to give it to you when we had dinner at your place but I forgot.” Sanji’s voice trails as he goes off to his bedroom.
You stand there for a couple of minutes before checking the time, “Yo, Sanji, did’ya get lost?” laughing to yourself, you walk over into the bedroom. Your eyes immediately meet Sanji’s form hunched over on the ground.
A gasp falls from your lips as you rush over to him. “Sanji, oh god, are you okay what’s wrong-”
You cut yourself off when you bend down to look at him, there you see a pool of blood on the hardwood floor, petals scattered around the scene with a full flower bloom sitting in his hands.
“What?” you can’t breathe.
Sanji says your name but you don’t hear him, your brows knit together as you look up at him. “I don’t understand why are you coughing up petals?”
No? This couldn’t be happening.
Your heart breaks.
Who did Sanji love so dearly that he was cursed with the same disease that had you in its chokehold not long ago?
You would never wish this on anyone, no one deserved to live through the hurt of having unrequited love.
“You weren’t,” he wipes his mouth, “you weren’t supposed to find out.”
“I don’t-why wouldn't you want to tell me? If anything, I’d be the only person able to understand. Sanji, who is it?” your eyes scan his face.
Sanji’s ragged breathing fills the air between the two of you. “I can’t.”
You furrow your brows even more, shaking your head. “Please just tell me so I can help-”
“You can’t.”
“What do you mean, I can’t? You’re not making sense.”
Sanji closes his eyes. “It’s you.”
You stop breathing, the figure in your memory rushes to the forefront of your brain like a tsunami.
In the past the figure was always blurry, never in frame in your mind, only being able to trace his silhouette, but now it was different.
It was like he was right in front of you like you could smell him, feel his hands in yours, his warmth. Feel his lips against your lips when he-
“It was you.” your voice was quiet, “You were the one I loved.”
His eyes snap at yours, a gasp falling from his lips.
“The person I loved so deeply… that it caused me so much pain.”
And there it was, the fog had been lifted.
“How could I have forgotten?” How ironic the entire thing was.
“Why would I ever forget about my love for you, Sanji?” you look at him, “What grief did you cause me?”
A tidal wave of emotions, affections, all poured out of your soul and into your memories. The months of coughing up petal after petal till they turned to full flower blooms. The fear that a root would pop up once you pulled your tissue from your face.
The pain and the hurt that Sanji had caused you.
The pain of knowing that he didn't love you anymore.
It all came rushing back.
“Why would you keep this from me?” you were getting angry, but was it for the right reason?
Hadn’t you done the same with him? Hadn’t you kept it from all the people you loved as well?
“You know why I went through with the surgery? It wasn’t Nami who made me, well not partially, but why I allowed myself to let her drive me to the hospital was because I didn't want you to suffer.” your eyes were burning, the tears threatening to fall.
“I don't understand?” Of course, he wouldn’t.
“You were obviously unhappy, Sanji. If I removed myself from the equation, it would solve everything and at…at first I thought dying was the solution I really did.” your eyes drop, “And maybe Nami finding me was a saving grace but, I originally wasn't gonna do anything.”
“Week after week, Sanji, I was drowning. I wanted to yell at anyone who would listen and ask why I couldn't have anything, why couldn’t I be happy? That the universe had some sort of fucking vendetta against me.”
“So I decided to let you go, to choose to live a life of unknown heartache, and when I finally thought I had accomplished that. The universe just spits in my face by cursing you.”
“Don’t you see it? We don’t belong together, Sanji.” The anger was gone now, all that was left was emptiness.“We have the signs, we need to heed them and move on.”
Sanji says your name with a plea, but you ignore him. “Just get the surgery, stop hurting the both of us.”
“It does us no good if you're dead.” And with that, you walk out of the bedroom and out the front door.
♡‧₊˚
The quiet murmurs of the newscaster talking about the weather for the week could barely be heard from the running water you were using to wash the dishes.
You haven't seen Sanji in a couple of weeks, not since he announced that you were the one whom he was in love with.
And definitely not since you remembered he was the one whom you had loved before.
And while at first, you were angry. Angry at him for lying and keeping such vital information from you.
It later turned to guilt.
Guilt for getting angry at him. Guilt for causing him pain.
But it wasn’t your fault, it’s not like you chose not to love him, you physically couldn’t anymore. You signed that ability off months ago.
But you also missed him. Since you weren’t talking to him, you weren’t having your weekly dinners or your impromptu movie nights anymore.
You missed just talking to him. You missed the lame jokes he’d tell in hopes of hearing your laugh, that smile he’d get whenever he spoke about a new recipe.
You missed him.
But you were also confused.
After he had revealed that he loved you and you had remembered that your past love was him, it became too much for you to handle.
Glancing at the moon, you dry your hands on a towel and walk into the living room. The weatherman was currently informing you of a chance of rain tomorrow during the already cold late January weather.
Sighing you go to sit down before something catches your eyes. A picture frame that hangs on your wall glints as you walk toward it.
It was a photo of you and Sanji looking at the camera with wide smiles on display from Sanji’s birthday two years prior. On top of your heads sat a birthday hat colored blue for the sea theme your friends had thrown together as a joke for the blonde that year.
You remember how you felt that day, the anxiety of wanting to get Sanji the perfect gift and when he finally opened it, he had hugged you which had you blushing like crazy while you swatted his “thank yous” away.
God, where did this deja vu come from?
It was weird, you weren't sure what it was.
It felt like your entire being was full. Full of intense and overwhelming emotions, an emotion you shouldn't feel. An emotion that was eradicated from your life when you stepped out of that hospital.
But here it was, rearing its big ugly face once again.
For Sanji.
You stumble back as if you had been shocked with electricity.
Looking around your apartment you close your eyes.
How could this happen? Why were you still being punished again?
You had endured the pain, chose to get rid of it and now you’ve been having to live with knowing that Sanji also was experiencing the exact same pain.
Sanji.
How could you have been so cold? Telling him to do the surgery? What was wrong with you?
You missed him. You missed your love for him. The feelings you’d get when he’d look your way. Sanji was your ambrosia and you needed him to survive.
But you didn’t miss how you felt when he chose another over you. Those feelings you wished you hadn’t remembered.
You weren't sure how you were still able to feel Sanji's love. But here you were.
An anomaly that you were.
Guess that shows how deep your love truly was rooted.
How could you have allowed yourself to forget?
The drive to Sanji’s apartment was quiet, opting to not play music or turn the radio on so that you could think clearly with your new (re) developed emotions.
Pulling up to the driveway, you step out of your car. The jacket you have on trapping your heat from the cold winds of the night.
The few steps to the front door felt like a lifetime. The moonlight provided a little comfort to your restless self.
Exhaling, you bring your hand to knock at the door, a small part of you hoping Sanji wasn’t home so you could go home and pretend like nothing happened.
The door swings open revealing Sanji. His eyes were wide like he couldn’t believe you were standing in front of him.
“Hey…can I come in?” you look up at him expectantly.
“Yeah, yeah come in.” Sending him a quick smile you walk past him and into the living room.
He shuts the door and faces you, you turn and finally get a good look at him in the light.
He looked worse for wear, his eyes had bags under them, a sign he hadn’t been sleeping if at all. Whether that was because of your argument or his condition, you didn't know. One hand was in his pocket and the other was fiddling with his handkerchief.
“How are you…” signaling your hand at him, “I mean physically, how are you? What stage?”
He looks away, “well…I’m still living,” he chuckles quietly.
You sigh.
God the two of you were truly messed up.
“It all came back.”
“What?” he questions.
Your eyes begin to glaze over, “My memories, everything.” you wet your lips, “All of it, Sanji.”
“It just-all came back…on top of our argument, of you telling me you loved me.” Tears fell down your cheeks. “Of how I felt when you were-when you were with Pudding.”
He says your name.
“And I hated it, I hated remembering how I felt, Sanji. I remember pitying myself, wondering what I had done wrong, why you hadn’t loved me anymore,” he says your name again, “but I also remembered how I felt loving you.” you look up at him with your tear-streaked face.
“And I will never regret loving you, not then, definitely not now. I also don’t regret forgetting, because I understand why I did it. I loved you enough to be able to let you go. To be able to know you’ll live your life happily, whether that’s with me or someone else. I didn’t care. Just that you were happy.”
“But I wasn’t-”
You cut him off, “I knew you didn't love me how I loved you, but I still knew you cared. So if I had died, even from death, I would have hated myself for hurting you. So I chose to forget.” you wipe your cheek, “I just wish you had never gotten that godforsaken thing as well.”
“Sanji I…I love you wholeheartedly. You encompass my entire existence. I live for you. Even now, when I didn't remember how I felt for you. It was there. My love for you was still inside. And it always will be. I think even if you hadn’t told me you loved me now, I would have remembered anyway. Simply because that’s who I am, I am my love for you, you consume my entire soul.” You probably looked like a mess.
“You look beautiful.” Did you say that out loud?
You smile softly, “So when you admitted that you loved me, that I was inadvertently hurting you, I couldn’t take it. I had been the monster I sought to eliminate. So I pushed you away.” you sigh, “I pushed you away because I didn't want to go through the same pain again. I was selfish if you had just done the surgery, I'd be able to forget about this again and you wouldn't even remember.” you walk toward Sanji. “I’ve learned that I can’t run away from you anymore. And I’ve realized that I don’t want to lose you again.”
“So let me save you.”
Sanji’s face was red, his eyes were blurry with tears, his fist clenching his handkerchief filled with petals and blooms.
“I’m so sorry.” Sanji’s voice trembles, “I am so sorry, I caused you so much pain, if I could take it back I would. And I don’t even deserve you, I’m not worthy of your love, but if you allow me, let me make it up.”
You close the gap between the two of you and pull his lips toward your own. They’re slightly chapped and both of your guy’s faces are wet but you don’t care. You feel his fingers carding through your hair, pulling you deeper.
This kiss was different from any others before, this one was filled with desire and want but it was also filled with joy and love.
You were finally happy.
You pull away first, breathing heavily and your face flushed, “You already are.”
“I love you so much, please never forget.” you wipe a stray tear, cradling his face.
You want to commit this memory in your brain. No more forgetting, no more letting go. To make sure that for the night, no cough was to be heard, no petal was to be hidden,
just two lovers finally with one another, forever.

She Calls Me Daddy
Warnings 18+: Smut, Title Daddy used (Reader), Strap on (Lizzie Receiving), Top Reader/Bottom Lizzie, Praise (Lizzie Receiving), Use of Restraints, Mentions of Infidelity, Aftercare.
You jump a little on the spot, tilting your head left to right to get rid of the last few nerves before you go up on stage. You've done this a million times before, performing at everyone’s favourite club, but tonight was a little more nerve wracking since your friend (the one and only Scarlett Johansson) decided she would bring a few of her friends along to watch you perform.
You had only ever met a few of her marvel friends, including the dirty blonde who your mind is always thinking about day and night. It doesn't help that this particular dirty blonde has been coming around more and more because her fiancé is just not doing it for her anymore.
"Hey sexy." You turn with a wide smile to see Scarlett sneaking past the stage curtain with a sly grin on your face.
"Hello gorgeous." You pull her into a hug, kissing both her cheeks before pulling away and letting out a nervous breath.
"I'm not going to lie, this outfit is unusual for you to be performing in."
Scarlett's eyes rake over your body seeing you wearing a white button up shirt with all but one button undone, allowing you to keep some form of decency; but your black lace bra is clearly visible through the thin material. Your pants are from your favourite suit, which coincidentally happens to be the suit you met the green eyed goddess in. They were tight fitting, hugging your legs and ass nicely leaving no room for imagination for those who laid eyes on you. You are wearing black Oxford shoes, with the laces loosely tied so you can slip out of them easily.
"Got to surprise the audience with a reveal sometimes. Is she here?" Scarlett rolls her eyes, giving you a small shove at your question.
"And here I thought you were all dressed up for little old me." You smirk lifting Scarlett's chin with your finger and thumb so she is looking up at you, your friendship had always had a flirtatious undertone but you two had only ever seen the other as friends.
"Well you can admire the show. Did she bring him?" Scarlett quickly shakes her head adjusting the collar of your shirt.
"No. She said it's a girls night out, which it is, and anyway he doesn't want to be seen in this part of town with her where rumours could start." You raise an eyebrow lifting your chin up so Scarlett can make sure everything looks good.
"You mean a gay strip club?" She nods quickly, her hands dragging down the shirt to straighten it out, giving her a thankful smile in return.
"Exactly. She is very excited to see you, and I know this for a fact because she is wearing it." You bite your lip at what Scarlet is telling you.
"My favourite girl, in one of my favourite outfits." Scarlet takes a step back eyeing your outfit up one more time before smiling.
"Perfect. Knock them dead." She sends you a wink as she walks back to the stage curtain.
"Bye bitch." She quickly turns around as she walks backwards through the curtain.
"Bye whore." She gives you a teasing wave before disappearing to where you can only assume is the front table which is normally reserved for her when she comes to show her support.
You close your eyes, taking a few deep breaths as you hear your introduction to the stage begin making sure that the single button in your shirt will hold and that the belt on your pants is done up. The curtains open and you make your way up onto the stage, your eyes finding the green ones of the woman you had been waiting for. Your eyes wander around the table seeing who Scarlett has brought tonight. Seeing her, Brie, Flo, Tessa and finally the dirty blonde green eyed goddess Lizzie.
You look to the DJ giving him a nod to signal to play the music as you move to the front of the stage, your eyes never leaving hers. The music starts playing, you lick your lips to wet them and smirk when you see her green eyes dart down to watch your actions.
She's a little bit psycho
But she follows
When I call in the middle of the night
You move to sit on the edge of the stage at the steps, practically in front of their table. You push your legs apart, your hands on your knees tensing as you do so causing a few of your veins to show as you have your sleeves rolled up. You move your hands from your knees to the top of your thighs and then up the side of your body as your fingers dance along your clothes delicately.
She's got you wrapped around her finger
You try to linger
But she's already on her way to mine
You stand from the steps swaying your hips side to side as you move to stand behind Scarlett, the table and chairs only a few steps away from the stairs, twirling some of her hair around your finger before dragging your other hand down to her jaw and tilting her head backwards to look up at you. She smiles up at you as you send her a small wink, as you both chuckle at your actions.
It might be a little superficial
She plays with the boys
But she comes home to me
Your lips ghost down Scarlett's neck with a smirk before you turn to the woman who is sitting next to her, pulling her chair away from the table so you can sit down on it infront of her; your feet planted either side of her legs on the edge of the seat. Her eyes level with your abdomen as she stares at your abs which you put on show as your hands pull at the sides of your shirt.
Little fucked up but I think it's official
'Cause she might be your girl
But she's calling me daddy
You slide off the table, ending up directly in her lap smiling when you see her eyes flutter closed for a second and her hands land on your thighs giving them a small squeeze. Her eyes flutter open again when you drag your finger along the left side of her jaw and then down her neck to the thin piece of material that she is wearing around her neck; easily mistaken for what it is by others.
She's mine
She wears a collar with my name
Secretive but not ashamed
You wrap your finger under the leather material giving it a small tug upwards so she is sitting up straight her front against yours, her hands moving up and down your thighs as her pupils dilate and the green you've come to know all but disappears. Your left hand moves to pop open the button holding your shirt closed, Lizzie’s eyes darting down to look at your breasts which are being pushed up with black lace.
She's mine
But I never tie her down
They always come around
Mine
You move your hand to cup her jaw, her eyes flicking back to yours as you lift your left leg up and over her lap so you are now standing next to her; towering over her as you force her to look up at you. Your right thumb swipes the skin of her neck just below the leather material, feeling her swallow harshly as you give it another gentle tug.
I'm a bit of an ice cream
Little bit mean
But my girl likes the way I shut them down
You move behind her chair, the hand cupping her jaw moves down her neck all the way to her chest where you can feel it rising up and down quickly. The pink blush spreads from her cheeks all the way down her neck to your hand, you feel the heat radiating off her skin as you slowly work her up. You move your lips next to her right ear breathing hot air down the side of her face as you take her ear lobe between your teeth pulling at it gently.
Say she likes when I play king
A little play thing
Yeah my girl like the way I wear my crown
You push your hand under the practically see-through white top, wearing it just for you knowing it's one of your favourite looks on her, as you move your lips away from her ear and across her jaw ghosting her skin as your other hand moves to wrap around her neck giving it a small squeeze. A small moan passes her lips, and you playfully bite at her jaw in response watching as she pushes her thighs together and one of her hands finds the back of your neck.
You should see their face when they finally realize
That she plays with the boys
But she comes onto me
Your eyes scan the table, an amused smirk growing on your face as you see the woman with looks of shocks on their faces; all but Scarlett who is smirking proudly as you do what you do best. Using a finger from the hand holding her neck you push her chin to the right so she is looking at you, brushing your lips against hers and feeling her sigh against them almost makes you kiss her but you pull away completely with a teasing smirk; her hand dropping to hold the back of the chair. You shrug your shirt off before planting yourself back on her lap.
Wanna change her mind but I get unwise
'Cause she might be your girl
But she's calling me daddy
Her hands land on your thighs quickly as you straddle her once more, your feet planted on the ground as your hands hold onto the back of the chair either side of Lizzie's head. You move your left hand to grab onto her right hand, dragging it up to your belt buckle and giving her a small nod as she looks to your eyes for permission. With the permission she needs, Lizzie undoes your belt pulling it through each of the loops by pulling it with one hand and fiddling with your buttons and zipper with the other.
She's mine
She wears a collar with my name
Secretive but not ashamed
Your hand once again finds its place on her neck, pulling her body forward as press your lips at the base of her neck giving the skin there a few small bites before dragging your tongue up to her jaw where you nip at the skin once more, knowing how much she likes to have your marks but not wanting to leave any in front of her friends. Not that you think it will make much difference as her hands snake around to your back pushing under your pants where they cup your butt cheeks and give them both a squeeze. You lift your hips, a signal for her to pull your pants down which she follows immediately making you smirk.
She's mine
But I never tie her down
They always come around
Mine
You quickly stand up kicking your shoes off so you can shimmy out of your pants before placing yourself back down on Lizzie’s lap but lean backwards so you are using your elbows on the table to prompt your body up. Lizzie’s eyes look into yours as her hands hover over your hips, a look of desperation and lust is all you can see. You smirk with a nod, Lizzie’s hands gripping onto your hips as you roll them against her legs and start rolling your upper body in time. Your hands hanging lazily off the table as you practically grind onto Lizzie's lap, her eyes scanning your whole body as she takes in the black lingerie set you are wearing; it does nothing much to hide what's underneath. But that comes with the job, she knows this, but god is she happy that she’s the only one allowed to touch it….with permission of course.
In the mess
She's responsible
Change her mind
It's impossible
Close your mouth
You
Catch a fire
Watch the girl get
What she likes
You push your body upwards so you are sitting straight up in her lap, a hand on the back of her neck grips at her baby hairs pulling her head backwards to look at you. You bring your lips down to her left ear, smiling against it when you feel her hands squeeze your hips. Your other hand pulls at the leather around her neck as you whisper in her ear.
“Hello kitten.” She quietly moans in your ear, her hands moving to grope your butt cheeks once more as she whispers back to you.
“Hi daddy. I’ve missed you.” You hum in agreement, a small whine leaving her lips as the sound vibrates into her ear, but you simply give the collar another tug.
“I have another hour baby, if you’re good we can use your favourite strap. But only if you’re good.”
“I can be good for you daddy.” You pull back from whispering to one another, planting a chaste kiss on her lips before completely climbing off her lap, giving her friends a small bow as they stare with open jaws between you and Lizzie before sending them all a wink and walking back to the stage. You laugh to yourself when you hear their table break out into quiet conversation, obviously asking Lizzie lots of questions as she looks to Scarlett to save her.
♤♡◇♧
“Fuck, daddy please.” Lizzie whines beneath you as you laugh against the skin of her neck at the sound of her desperation.
“Look at you, my little baby begging me to fuck her. Tell me what it is you need from daddy.”
“Inside. I want to feel you. You always feel so good daddy, please.” You smirk against her skin as you gently suck on her pulse point causing a loud moan to leave her lips as her body jolts underneath you.
“Stay still baby, I will be right back.”
You smile to yourself as you climb off the bed, looking at Lizzie who has her arms tied to the headboard and a blindfold on as she fights the urge to close her legs to ease some of the tension building between her thighs again. You grab her favourite toy from the drawer, a 10 inch double ended strap. She told you when you first started seeing you that she had never been a size queen, but with the way you can so easily use this one you are truly thinking of asking if she wants to go bigger.
You put the smaller end inside yourself, watching as Lizzie’s body buzzes in anticipation. Lizzie gasps when you press your body against hers suddenly, the tip of the strap brushing through her already glistening folds, thanks to the previous two orgasms you had given her with your mouth and fingers. You start rolling your hips to tease her,Lizzie’s hips buck to try and get you where she needs you but as soon as your hand wraps around the collar giving it a tug she immediately stops.
“You know the rules, kitten, don't move, otherwise I will have to punish you.” You decide you want to see her as you bring her to the final orgasm of the night, removing your hand from the collar to remove the blindfold. “Do I need to punish you?”
“No, daddy. I’m sorry. Please make me cum. I will be good, please.” Her eyes roll to the back of her head as your right hand moves to cup her core pushing your fingers through her folds to collect her wetness.
“I will let you off this time since you were so good by waiting for me to finish work, but one wrong move and you will be punished. Do you understand?”
“Yes.”
“Yes what?” Lizzie’s eyes flutter open once you remove your hand from her core using the wetness on your hand to lube up the toy.
“Yes daddy.”
“Good girl.” Without warning you push the tip of the fake cock into her entrance slowly pushing into her so as not to hurt her a wanton moan leaving her lips as her head presses back into the pillow her hands gripping at the leather cuffs. You look down at Lizzie once you feel your hips against hers letting you know the toy is completely inside so you are waiting on her signal to start moving.
“Okay.” Lizzie’s eyes lock with yours as you slowly start to roll your hips, a small gasp parting your lips next to her ear as the smaller end starts to move inside you. “Fuck daddy, so big”
s
You moan into Lizzie's ear at her words, she knows just what to say to shoot pleasure through your body. Your left hand plants itself onto the mattress next to her head as you right one brushes down the side of her body to her leg, quickly lifting it up and around your waist. She pulls your hips back into hers with her leg, both of you moaning at the rough thrust.
You start to speed up your movements burying your head into her neck as you gently bite and suck a trail of marks down it, your hand snaking up the front of her body to her left breast. You roll your thumb over her hard nipple, a small whine leaving her lips at the added pleasure as you suddenly pinch it between your thumb and finger before moving your hand upwards again.
“Don’t stop. You feel so fucking good. Please don’t stop.” Lizzie’s back arches as you start to thrust harder into her choosing to pull the toy most of the way out before thrusting it roughly back in loving how her body writhes underneath you.
“You feel so good wrapped tightly around my cock.” Lizzie’s eyes roll to the back of her head as her leg tightens its hold around your waist, as you moan the words into her ear; the smaller end of the toy brushing against your walls hitting your g-spot every now and again as you feel lizzie’s legs start to shake.
“Please can I cum daddy. I need to….fuck…please.” Her eyes shoot open the most desperate look on her face as you continue to pound into her, her whole body moving with the rough thrusts as the headboard hits the wall.
“Cum for daddy, baby. Show me how good I make you feel.” The coil that had been building up in Lizzie snaps, her eyes rolling to the back of her head as she lets out a near pornographic moan. Your body reacts quickly at the sight of Lizzie’s orgasm as the small side of the toy brushes against your g-spot once more and you sink your teeth into Lizzie's neck to muffle a maon; leaving a mark for sure.
Her back arches completely off the bed, her feet and head the only thing staying in contact with the mattress as her legs shake uncontrollably and her feet slip and push into the mattress over and over. Lizzie’s arms pull at the restraints, her knuckles turning white as her fists clench, the handcuffs sure to leave some marks on her skin. You continue to slowly thrust into Lizzie helping her through the long amount of aftershocks, her chest moving rapidly as she mumbles out nonsense.
Her body continues to move beneath yours as it settles back down on the bed, her leg that was around your waist falls to the bed as her whole body is drained of energy and you can see her falling into a state of bliss and tiredness. When you pull the toy out your eyes widen at how soaked the toy is, and how there is quite a bit on the mattress below; smirking to yourself at the sight. You pull the toy out of yourself and place it on the floor next to the bed before sitting up on your knees and rubbing your hands up and down the side of Lizzie’s body to help calm her body down a little.
“Are you okay princess?” Lizzie smiles goofily at the change in name, knowing that your soft side is coming out like it always does after sex. Your brows furrow when you don’t get a reply as she continues smiling but her eyes flutter open the green slowly returning. “Lizzie you good?”
“More than good. I’m perfect.” You lean down pressing your lips against hers, Lizzie immediately reciprocates the small kiss but groans when she tries to move her hands. “Do you mind?” She nods up to the leather handcuffs.
“Not at all.” You make quick work of undoing the leather restraints, bringing her wrists to your lips where you kiss along the harsh red marks left behind. “Let's get you cleaned up.”
“I jush wan cuddles.” You turn to look at Lizzie, a small blush growing on her face as she tiredly tries to speak, stuffing her face into the pillow to try and hide it.
“Okay, let me just get a damp cloth for tonight then.”
You make quick work of cleaning Lizzie with the cloth, making sure not to hurt her due to how sensitive she was. You even manage to pull the sheet off the bed and replace it with a new one, once you had transferred Lizzie from one side of the bed to the other and back again before climbing in and pulling the covers over the both of you.
Her body gravitates towards you, her arm wrapping around your waist as you help to pull her to lay on top of you knowing she gets the most comfort from skin on skin contact. Her head rests against your shoulder, her other hand tracing small patterns up and down your arm, silence engulfing the room but it is more confronting silence than awkward. You tilt your head to look at the woman on top of you as she lets out a deep breath and looks up at you with the softest smile.
“I’m leaving him.”
You choke on air for a moment, eyes going wide at her confession, Lizzie’s eyes not leaving your face as she watches your reaction. You thought back to the few times you had discussed what this was between the two of you and you had both said that it was nothing more than fucking, but you both know the line got blurred somewhere when she took you for a weekend away. Or when you meet for coffee or go for food at a restaurant, both of you hide what was truly there even when you label these activities as dates in your mind. You both do.
“W-why?” You didn’t want to get your hopes up, not after playing the friends with benefits game for 6 months.
“I can’t be with him.” Her eyes dart left to right looking into yours as her left hand on your waist moves up to your chest to start drawing patterns, something you have noticed she does when anxious or nervous normally.
“Okay.” You mentally facepalm yourself at the stupid reply, watching as Lizzie’s brows furrow and her features deflate slightly, hoping you would be more excited about the prospect so you quickly add. “Why can’t you be with him, princess?”
“I can’t be with someone when I see the future we are meant to have with someone else.” The finger on your chest moves up to your collarbone where she starts tracing it gently over and over. “I can’t be with him when all I can think about is you.”
“Lizzie I - uh - I.” You were at a loss for words, and however hard you try to think of what to say you can’t get it out. You’ve wanted this for a while, but had yourself convinced she would always choose him. So why now, when she is being open, has your brain decided to short circuit.
“Oh.” You immediately notice her demeanour change, her head shaking a little as she beats herself up probably thinking she just made a complete and utter mistake. When she tries to remove herself from you, you are quick to react, your hands moving to cup her face, quickly moving her head to be over yours and pull it down to smash your lips together.
“I can’t stop thinking about you either.” You mumble against her lips as you pull away for a second, but only for a second as you kiss her again with a passion trying to convey every single emotion through this single kiss.
Once oxygen becomes an issue Lizzie pulls her lips away from yours, resting her forehead gently against yours as your eyes look into one another. Your right hand moves to push a piece of fallen her behind her ear as your left hand continues to hold her cheek as your thumb traces small circles against her skin.
“Does this mean I can take you on an official date?” Lizzie buries her face into the crook of your neck giggling sweetly at your question.
“I would love nothing more than a date with you Y/n.” She mumbles against the skin of your neck leaving a few small pecks as she does.
“Well then miss olsen. This Tuesday, at 8pm I will cook and all you have to do is turn up.”
“Tuesday, 8pm.” She kisses the underside of your jaw, her body completely relaxing into yours letting out a tired sigh causing you to smile softly to yourself.
“Goodnight Lizzie.”
“Goodnight Y/n”

————————————————————————-
Being autistic has drawbacks for a normal person, but for an actress in Marvel movies, it was tough. I’m proud of who I am but I didn’t want the pitying looks, the comments or being stuck as only getting the “autistic” role so for my own sake, I’m not super open about it.
My parents are ashamed of it so they never told anyone and I was forced to mask anytime I was around anyone. Not even Scar knew, and she was my best friend, almost a mother figure to me. I didn’t want her to think any different of me. She’s known me since i was 7 and played her on screen adopted daughter in Iron Man 2.
We’re filming Endgame right now. I’m on my way to set with Scarlett. Today has been a rough day for me so far as my parents woke me up by screaming at me which then caused me to struggle in keeping my mask up. Scar picked me up and I’m already exhausted, I’ve caught myself stimming a few times and quickly stopped it.
When we pulled into the parking lot, i grabbed my bag and walked with her through set to our trailers where we left our stuff and we’re immediately shuffled to makeup and costumes.
“Oh shit…” I mutter staring at the costume in Erica’s hand. “I didn’t realize it was a fight scene today…”
“Babe.” Erica, my assistant and on set guardian says. She’s known about me since the first day which was when i was 7. “You’ve known about this for a week. Are you okay?”
“I’m super over stimulated right now…” I murmur tapping my leg in sets of 7, a common stim for me.
“Let’s do hair and makeup first okay? Keep you out of the costume until the last second okay?” I nod and the two of us move to hair and makeup where Scarlett is getting her hair done.
“Hey, where’s your costume kid?” She asks looking over at me.
“I uh-“ I glance at Erica who steps in for me quickly.
“It had a small tear in it so it’s getting fixed quickly.” Scarlet merely hums in response and I sit. Getting my wig on and makeup done is awful, having everyone touching me and all their voices so close to me ears. I feel a soft hand on my cheek and peek my eyes open to see Scar staring at me in concern.
“Stop grinding your jaw babe…” I release my jaw, not even realizing i had been doing it. “You okay love? You disappeared for a bit there.” I respond with a hum, my voice disappearing from within. “Let’s get your costume on and to set okay?”
I look around quickly and don’t see Erica, Scarlet must see the panic as she quickly says. “She got called away in an emergency. I’m going to be your guardian today.” I nod, feeling the panic bubble up in my chest, but give her a soft smile.
The two of us make our way to my trailer and she helps me quickly slip into the suit. I immediately want to rip it off as it’s skin tight and an uncomfortable material. It feels like it’s digging into my skin and pulling it away as if it’s velcro and my skin is the other side. I take a deep breath and come out to see Scar in costume waiting. “Ready?” I nod and we head to set where I realize it’s a busy day, all original 6 avengers, Lizzie, both Paul’s, Gwen and Cobie are all there. I internally groan as immediately, the girls are coming over to me and Scar talking a mile a minute. I stand next to Scarlett silently until Lizzie turns to me. “Hey kiddo. Ready to fight? We have to fly today.” My eyes widen for a moment before i force a smile and nod at the fake red head in front of me.
“What? Cat got your tongue?” This makes everyone around us laugh but it makes me feel awful. I have no voice, it comes and goes, when it’s gone, my parents ridicule me, I get hit. I look down as i feel my tears well up in my eyes and blink rapidly trying to will them away. I thank god silently when Joe calls us to places which means i get away from the now very suddenly concerned looking Scarlett, Lizzie and Cobie. I’m stuck with Renner as I get rigged up, the feeling of being sick suddenly appearing as more people touch me.
I feel the lump in my throat tighten and the feeling of the harness wrapped around me suddenly makes me feel like it’s constricting my breathing and everyone around me disappeared as my hands flung to the harness, in my panic my hands struggled with the buckle which just made me more infuriated and grunts started coming out as my tears blurred my vision.
I feel a set of hands on mine holding them down, i scream and rip mine away and start scratching at my throat trying to rip it open to get a breath. My eyes started blacking out and the last thing i see is Scarlett’s panicked face as she tries to grab at my hands before it all goes black.
Scarlett’s POV
I know something is off with y/n. Not off but just that she was different. I have had a feeling it was autism for a while now, today proved that to me.
She was silent the whole car ride to set, normally she’d be singing along the radio but she wouldn’t even let me turn it on today. As soon as we got to set she locked herself in her trailer without a word, the next time i saw her, she looked panicked and while she was getting her hair and makeup done she disappeared fully before i brought her back. She has days where she goes mute, she just calls them her bad days, they usually happen on days she has arguments with her parents but normally she can still communicate to me in different ways but today she was completely gone. It got worse as soon as she realized Erica was gone. Walking on to set, she tended up and i saw her tapping her thigh every once in a while. The comment that Lizzie made would normally make her laugh, her reaction today was off.
I watched her from the corner of my eye but had to look away for a second before i heard Renner.
“Y/N!! What are you doing?! You’re going to hurt yourself!” I whip my head around and my heart sinks as i see y/n struggling with her harness, her hands are shaking violently, tears streaming down her face, her eyes are glazed over. I bolt over and grab her hands gently.
“Y/n baby, stop. You’ve got to stop my love.” She rips her hands out of mine and starts clawing at her throat which is when i notice she’s not breathing properly. She’s barely able to get a small breath. Instincts kick in for me and i turn to the cast and crew crowding her. “Give her space. Now. I need someone to set up a dark room with minimal sound and her clothes she was wearing this morning as well as the blanket from my trailer. A cold cloth and her wig taken off.” I turn around as she starts to collapse, i grab her arm and quickly wrap an arm around her waist. “Now!”
It’s a bit of a blur after that honestly, the next thing i know, im alone with her in the green room after everything is unplugged and blankets are draped over the windows. Her wig is already off and someone hands me my blanket and her clothes before silently leaving. I help her unconscious body out of the suit and into her clothes before draping my weighted blanket over her body. I sit back and stare at her, not touching her at all but close enough if she needs me.
It felt like hours but looking at my watch, it shows it’s only been 20 minutes when she finally wakes up.
My heart is beating what feels like a million mile a minute with panic as i watch her blue eyes flutter open before she looks around the room for a moment. Her hand comes out of the blanket and she starts tapping her thigh again, her head nodding along to each tap. She squeezes her eyes shut and i can hear her voice mumbling. “I’m safe. I’m here. I’m y/n.” Over and over again, i quietly cough to get her attention and she quickly sits up and her head whips up to look at me with wide eyes, both hands start scratching at the other wrist. “Oh my god…”
“Baby, you are safe. It’s just me.”
“No… no… no no no no no no no no.” She started tugging her hair and rocking slightly. “They’re going to kill me… you aren’t supposed to know…”
I quickly scoot over and grab her hands before pulling her into my chest, she tenses for a moment before melting into my arms. “I can’t hide it anymore Scar…”
“I know baby… I know.” I mutter into her hair swaying us back and forth slightly.
“I’m autistic…”
“Oh baby i know…” She freezes and looks at me with wide eyes. I can ready the fear in her blue eyes. “You hide it really really well but I’m basically your mom my love. I had suspicions but didn’t want to push you into telling me. Today was too much.” She nods burying herself back into me. “I need you to know that I will always listen to you. That if you ever feel like that again, you can tell me and i’ll get you out of it. Baby seeing you pass out was terrifying. I need you to know that if you’re that overwhelmed, that you do not have to do all that.”
“But… my parents don’t want everyone knowing… they’re all gonna know now…” She mumbles into me, my heart cracks.
“Baby being autistic is not a bad thing. It makes you even more amazing. It’s not something to be ashamed of at all. You are allowed to be who you are. To stim when your emotions are too high. To have bad days. I am here to show you that.” I say looking her directly into her eyes. “I’m here to support you.”
Tears welled up in her eyes as she nodded quickly. She sat up and started tapping her thigh as she stared at me. “This is my favourite stim, it’s really subtle but it calms me down… i count the most important people in my life.” She then looks down at her hand as she taps each finger. “Scarlett.” Tap. “Lizzie.” Tap. “Renner.” Tap. “Gwen.” Tap. “Cobie.” Tap. “Rob.” Tap. “Rosie.” Tap. “It reminds me that you guys would love me, no matter how broken or weird i am because i know how much you care.” She looked up at me through her eyelashes. “Another one is tapping here.” She taps her chest right above her heart twice. “Right here.” She does the tap to each word. “This is where you sit in my body. I usually only do this one when I’m not wearing my necklace. Playing with that is the stim i can do out in public.” I pulled her into my arms again as I cried.
“Oh baby…”
“You’ve always been my safe space Scar…”
“And i will be your safe space for the rest of eternity.”
We sit in silence for a few minutes before she pulls away with a smile. “Thank you. For learning how to help me.”
“You are more than welcome my love. Let’s go home and have a calm day okay?” She nods before standing up, pulling my weighted blanket over herself. I stand and wrapping my arms around her waist, the two of us make our way out of the room to find Lizzie standing not too far away, crying into Gwyneths arms. Y/n instantly runs over to her and wraps her arms around the crying woman. Lizzie jumps before she turns and sees who it is and wraps the girl into her arms.
“I’m so sorry bug. I shouldn’t have made that comment. I know how bad your parents are.” Y/n shakes her head pulling back and squeezes Lizzie’s hands. “Liz that wasn’t what caused that.” She takes a glance back at me before taking a deep breath and looks back at Lizzie. “I’m autistic and I was overstimulated and everything was just too much. I won’t lie, the comment did hurt a little but i know you didn’t say it in a mean way. You didn’t hurt me, memories of my parents saying stuff hurt me. But not you.” Lizzie’s eyes widen and she glances at me before she nods breathing to calm herself down. “If you ever need to talk or are struggling you can talk to me bug.”
Y/n nods with a small smile. “I know Liz.”
“Hey. Me too.” We all turn our head to see Gwyneth with a pout on her face. “You scared the shit out of me kiddo. Never do that again. Understand?” She pulls y/n’s laughing form into her arms.
“I understand mother Paltrow.” She says making us all chuckle.
Y/n pulls away and biting her cheek looks at me. “I- i uh- I’m not ready to face everyone else yet…”
“They already left bug. It’s just us four left.” Lizzie said smoothing the crazy hair down on y/n’s head. “I couldn’t leave worried i hurt you and Gwyn couldn’t leave me alone but everyone else left to give you privacy. Scarlett went full mama bear mode and screamed at some people for trying to push her into anything. It was great.” Y/n chuckled, which brings a grin to my face.
“Of course you did. But i wouldn’t trade you for the world.”
“I love you too baby.” I say kissing her head softly.

Private not secret | Elizabeth Olsen
Tumblr media
Pairing: Elizabeth Olsen x Reader
Summary: You and Lizzie are both part of the MCU and attend a panel together, what happens when an interviewer tries to press Lizzie to talk about the ring she's wearing when you're keeping your relationship private from the public? A/n: This interview gave me inspiration for the ring part.
Masterlist | Marvel masterlist | Words: 1k
From the moment you first laid eyes on Elizabeth Olsen at the table read for Captain America: The Winter Soldier you knew she was going to be someone special in your life. As you expected the two of you grew close quickly and eventually started dating. It’s been ten years since that table read and she has become the most important person in your life. With both of your celebrity statuses, the conversation of privacy had come up pretty quickly. You had each voiced not wanting to have your relationship to be public, your relationship wasn’t a secret, you just preferred it to be private.
As you were checking out the outfit you picked out for Marvel Con in the mirror, Lizzie walked up behind you. She snaked her hands around your waist and rested her head on your shoulder. She admired you in the mirror, “You look so beautiful, baby.” You smile at her compliment, she always knew how to boost your confidence. “Thank you, darling, you look amazing yourself.” Lizzie held one of her hands out in front of her, “I don’t want to take it off, how would you feel if I kept it on?” You lace your fingers with hers and kiss the ring on her finger. You admired the ring you had picked out for her many months ago, the ring you had chosen to ask her to marry you with last week. “Yeah, I’m good with you keeping it on. Are you ready to go?”
The convention was so much fun, you met back up with so many friends and coworkers. It was rare that you were all together besides filming, as there were so many of you. You also got to meet a lot of fans, take pictures, hear their stories, and admire the art they made. You were on a few panels, most were without Lizzie, while Lizzie had her own panels, like the WandaVison panel with Paul Bettany. To close off the convention there was one last big panel for CA:TWS, there was one big couch and an armchair, for the six of you. The interviewer welcomed everyone to the stage, “Welcome everybody to the last panel of the day, give it up for Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Elizabeth Olsen and Y/n Y/l/n!” The crowd cheered and the first four sat down on the couch, making it full. You and Lizzie look at the armchair which isn’t exactly big enough for two people and laugh, you tell Lizzie to take it and sit down on the armrest yourself. The interviewer offered up her chair, but you assured her that it was all good.
“Thank you all so much for joining us, the ten year anniversary of Captain America: The Winter Soldier is coming up, Chris, how does that feel?” Chris takes one of the mics, “It’s so crazy to think that ten years ago we started filming the first movie of the MCU. I’m so thankful for being able to play this character and how much we’ve got to expand this universe to the big screen and introduce all these new heroes. Yeah, it’s been great.” The interviewer says it’s time for a question from the audience, you turn to face the person standing at the mics and all say hello. “Hi, I’m Ryan, and I have a question for y/n, what is your favorite memory from filming the movie?” Lizzie hands you the mic she was holding, you smile at her and thank her. “Oh, that’s a good question! I have so many good memories from that movie.” Your eyes move over to Lizzie for a moment only to see that she was already looking at you, you smile and focus back on the crowd. “I think I’m gonna have to go with the fight scene where we’re running through an office. So, papers had to be flying off of desks and the amount of times they had to be picked up to be able to shoot the scene again was just so funny.”
Another fan comes up to the stand, “Hello, my name is Ellie, and my question is for Elizabeth. You’ve spoken a bit about your anxiety and I was just wondering how you manage to keep that under control with big crowds like this.” You hand the mic back to Lizzie, “First off I want to emphasize how important it is for me to talk about subjects like these, so thank you very much for your question, Ellie. “Secondly, for me, having people around me that make me feel safe is very important.” Lizzie places a hand on your knee. “For instance, I know that if I were to start feeling overwhelmed, y/n would notice and help me stay grounded.”
The interviewer continues after all the fan questions are answered. “So, Elizabeth, I noticed a pretty ring on your finger.” Lizzie looks down at her hand, “Yeah, it’s beautiful right. it’s a cocktail ring, my fancy ring.” The interviewer presses on, “Is it a cocktail ring though?” You want to step in and tell the interviewer she should stop pressuring Lizzie, but before you can speak up Scarlett does. “Before we have to go, I’d like to ask you all a question. I would love it if we could take a big group picture, would you be up for that?” The crowd cheers. You all kneel down at the edge of the stage so that everyone fits in the picture. “Thank you.” You whisper to Scarlett as you move back to your seats.
Once the panel is over you head to your backstage room with Lizzie. “I’m sorry I didn’t say anything to the lady.” Lizzie grabs your hand in hers, “You’re all good. That would probably have been more suspicious than how Scar handled it. Let’s just enjoy the rest of our night. “You’re right.” You share a sweet kiss before heading over to your friends.

You thank God or whoever was up there that got you into the last train going home.
It was a cold winter night in New York, and everyone was out and about except for you, who was working your tail off at a coffee shop to help pay the rent. You were holding a book, barely reading it due to the commotion from the train, but you managed to read a few sentences. You sighed to yourself as you rubbed your eyes, going home on a typical night.
“Watchu reading?”
You looked up to see a blonde woman holding a bar and smiling down at you, unsure whether she was giving you a devilish smirk or a sweet smile. In any case, you responded calmly to her.
“Little Women.”
She clicks on her tongue. “Ah, yes. One of the classics?”
You nodded as you were about to start reading your book, but she asked another question, indicating that she may not leave you alone for the duration of the ride.
“I have a friend who played a character there,” she said. “And it’s a very good book.”
"It is," you replied cautiously, shifting your gaze from your book to the woman when you realized she was an actress. Scarlett Johansson? “A-Are you?”
“Yeah,” she smiled. “You don’t mind, do you?”
You chuckled lightly, surprised that an actress - a big shot - was talking to you on the train late at night. On the plus side, there weren't many people there, aside from a couple of strangers sleeping on their seats.
“I don’t at all.”
The woman nodded and sat beside you, her bag against her lap, her face close to yours, staring down at your book. You weren't sure if this gesture bothered you, but you were happy to be sitting next to a famous person. She returns her gaze to you as she flips through her book.
“You got the old copy of the book.”
“My mother gave it to me,” you sheepishly smiled at her. “You like reading too?”
“From time to time,” Scarlett answered with a yawn. “I don’t read much anymore because I’m always out of the house.”
“Yeah, it seems like it,” you said. “I didn’t know the famous Scarlett Johansson took the train at this hour.”
“I still want to feel like a city person,” she chuckled. “Plus, I hate driving. Makes me angry sometimes.”
You both sat in silence, listening to the train's constant ruckus until it came to a complete stop. You watch as the door opens, but no one enters. She asked: “What’s your name?”
“Y/n.”
“Nice to meet you Y/n,” she took your hand and shook it firmly, smirking at you as if she was luring you into something. “How about we get out of here and walk around the city?”
You looked behind you to see the city lights and the sky, knowing you had an early shift at work tomorrow. You returned your gaze to her and shook your head, causing her to frown.
“I-I got work.”
“A day off wouldn't hurt too much, would it?”
She was definitely urging you to walk with her.
“How do I know you’re not a creep?” you snickered.
She sighs and stands up, taking your hand in hers, which electrified your veins and caused you to almost fall to your knees.
“I guess you just have to trust me.”
Scarlett walked down Manhattan with you the entire night. She said she wanted a friend like you because you weren't so judgmental and pushed her into something uncomfortable. You enjoyed hearing about her childhood and how she got into the acting business. You asked if she enjoyed working as an actress, and she responded with an amazing smile that will stay with you for days.
“I love acting and I always will, it’s not something I could just give up on.”
“At least you're committed to your job,” you said as you tucked your hands into your cheap coat. “It's nearly four o'clock in the morning; I should probably go home-”
“Where do you live, sweetheart?”
When she called you by that nickname, you felt yourself come to a halt. But you didn't, you just kept walking beside her and staring at the ground the whole time. You didn't tell her how much that name affects you physically; instead, you kept your mouth shut as usual.
“At the 48th street.”
“Let me take you there, then.”
“No, that’s fine! Really, you should go–”
“I insist,” she finishes you off, taking your hand as she squeezes it with care. You look up at her smiling at you, and that did it for your heart. You had a massive crush on her, she was too caring. “It’s okay. We’re no longer strangers, are we?”
Scarlett did indeed take you home that night. You told her you had a nice time as you opened your apartment door. But just as you were going to shut the door, the woman kissed you passionately on the lips. She runs her hands through your hair as she sucks on your tongue, terrified that she will lose this ecstatic moment that happens just once in a lifetime. It was risky and reckless, but she didn't care. She liked this moment, and she wanted it to happen.
You pulled away, breathing hard against her lips. “I uh, w-we shouldn’t have–”
“But you liked it, didn't you?” She asks breathlessly, licking your upper lip while her other hand moves down to the back of your waist. “You are by far the most interesting girl I've ever met. I like you, Y/n.”
You giggled in response.
“We met like 5 hours ago!”
“That’s enough for me to like you, right?” she chuckles, kissing your lips again with so much desperation within her – it’s almost despicable. “Go out with me tomorrow at my place. I make a good dinner, we could like… watch a movie or something.”
“I wouldn’t oppose that idea.”
“Good,” she says tiredly, bringing your lips together again before releasing your waist and pecking you on the chin. “Goodnight, Y/n; I'll see you tomorrow.”
You were thinking about how spontaneous this was as she departed. You met an actress on the subway, walked around New York City with her, and kissed her at your apartment door. It appeared to be a romantic novel, perhaps a fairy tale. But this was all too real, and you didn't know how you'd ever deal with it.
Tumblr media
Scarlett had become your girlfriend at the end of the month. She drove you around the city and persuaded you to quit your job so that you could work for her in her small company. You work there a lot, but you spend most of your time with her at her Manhattan apartment. You'd bake for her, and she'd cook for you. When she needed some good fuck, you became one of her fleshlights; sometimes making love was also an option. You felt terrific about whatever you were doing with her.
Although there was something intriguing about her. Every time you ask to go to her house on Staten Island, she either refuses or starts a fresh conversation about the company. You didn't say anything else, instead allowing the issue to pass and leaving her to speak. It's as though she's trying to keep something malicious from you. Of course, you did your best not to notice. You believed her as much as she believed you.
She was planning to take you on a date by the second month of your relationship with her. But it wasn't anything spectacular; she just wanted to drive with you to the hills and stay as long as you wanted.
“I love this,” she sighed happily as she turned off her engine. “I love you so much.”
You smiled as you felt your hand being kissed by her, closing your eyes as she did so.
“I love you too, Scar.”
“You do?” she asked as if she didn’t believe you. “Even though I can be rough at times?”
You nodded in response. “Of course,” you whispered. “I love it when you’re rough, though.”
She lets out a deep chuckle and reclines her seat, asking you silently to sit on her lap. You let out a trembling sigh as you removed yourself from the front seat, sitting gently on her lap as she roams her hands through your shirt, unclasping your bra.
“S-Scarlett,” you moaned quietly as her lips pressed against your neck. “Don’t you think it’s a little dangerous for us to have sex in the middle of nowhere?”
“You don't like that idea?” she teases, her cock hardening through her pants. “You could scream all you want, baby girl. No one will hear us from here.”
“Are you–”
She kisses you deeply as she holds you close to her warm body, causing your body to ignite. “Baby, don’t worry. It’s okay, no one will hear us.”
Scarlett pulls down her jeans, pulling out her thick shaft as she pushes up your skirt, her eyes looking down at your white panties, making her smirk. “You wore this for me, didn’t you?”
You nodded helplessly as you felt her thumb brushing against your clit.
“Oh, baby,” she whispers with a moan, pushing aside your underwear as she grabs her thick tip, pushing it slowly through your entrance. “Gonna fuck you, m’kay?”
“W-Wait,” you stuttered as you tried reaching for the glovebox. “Condoms?”
Scarlett shook her head vigorously. “We don’t need it, baby. Aren’t you on the pill?”
“I am,” you answered. “I’m just trying to be s-safe here.”
The older woman pushes the length inside of you, both of you groaning as you feel her bottoming out inside of you so quickly. She clings to your waist, straining upwards as she uses your body to please her dick. You cocked your head slightly as you felt the tip brush against your cervix, almost imagining her being this large and destroying your insides.
“You’re taking me so well,” she whined loudly as she repeatedly ruts into you, both of your wet skin slapping almost irritating your skin. “You like this, little girl?”
“Ugh, yes!” you nodded, rolling down your hips to take more of her cock. “Y-You make me feel so good, Mommy. I’ve wanted this for so long, please–”
“I’m here now, baby,” she whispers, wrapping her hand around your neck as her lips suck on your nipple greedily. “Fuck, fuck, fuck…”
Scarlett brought her other hand down to your core, furiously rubbing your clit with her thumb as she pounds into you, causing the car to move wide, and your screams are getting louder and louder in her car until you were sure people could hear you from down there.
But did neither of you care? Absolutely not.
“I’m close,” she grumbles, her mouth hovering over your chest as she lets out a warm breath each time she thrusts into your cunt vigorously. “You’re gonna make me cum so hard for you, I want to cum in you…”
Scarlett cradles you in her arms as you feel her flowing inside of you, her warm milk covering your walls as you groan loudly around her cock, kissing her lips with so much love that you can't quite fathom them.
The woman moans and slowly pulls away, kissing your chest one more time before you return to your seat and watch her cock deflate after some intense sex. She brought her finger to your abused hole and gathered some mixed juices that you both shared, bringing them to her lips as she tasted the juice.
"We're going to be together for a long time, right?" she questioned, sounding skeptical. You soothed her by holding her hand near to your chest and nodding slowly at her.
"I promise you I'll be here forever.”
“Yeah?” She smiles sweetly as if she can't believe what's going on between you two.
You simply nodded. “Yeah, baby.”
Tumblr media
You were carrying her child.
You had no idea what to do about it.
You wanted to call Scarlett, tell her the wonderful (or bad?) news, and maybe celebrate. But, before you took the test, your girlfriend told you she'd be gone for a few months since she was filming in London, which you didn't mind because you valued her work.
But as time passed, the apartment grew colder and colder, and you realized she might not be returning home as soon as you expected. So, with a kid on the way, you didn't know what to do but go to her house in Staten Island, even though you'd never been there before.
Maddie, your friend, drove you to the house. You were surprised that it was a mansion, and it appeared to be more to her liking. Your friend said, "So she's really rich."
"And she never told me about this," you muttered.
"Girlfriends keep secrets," Maddie said, rolling her eyes. "Now, go, maybe she's there."
Looking down at your lap, you snickered. "She hasn't returned my calls, so you're probably right."
"I'm always in the right."
You got out of the car and pressed the doorbell as your feet melted into the earth. Surprisingly, the door swung open, revealing a tall man who appeared to be a kind man. "Can I do anything for you?" he asked with a smile.
"I, uh, is Scarlett at home?"
"Are you one of her fans?" he chuckled and rubbed his chin. "Listen, kid, it's not okay for you to come by and play a prank on us like this."
"Oh um, I'm not a fan," you quickly said, stroking the back of your neck. "I'm her girlfriend."
He let out an agonizing laugh, making you feel smaller and smaller as you stood there for approximately a minute in his presence.
What was he laughing about?
“Girlfriend? I'm her husband."
Your face dropped as a result of that word. Husband? What did he say?
“I–”
"Although I've seen you with her a couple of times," he remarked, his brow furrowed. He remained motionless for a moment before letting out a long sigh and folding his arms about his chest, his expression filled with realization. "Didn't you know she's married to me?"
You shook your head, tears running down the brim of your eyelids.
"You're her mistress," he said flatly. "I'm sorry to have to break it to you like that, but you're her mistress."
"I'm sorry," you said quietly, wiping your tears away with the back of your palm. "I must be disturbing your time-"
"You aren't," he says, cutting you short. "In fact, we're only just getting started."
The spouse, John Doe, told you that Scarlett must've messed with your devices so that you couldn't find her anyplace on the internet - which you believe is accurate since when you tried searching for her, she didn't come up. He informed you that they'd been married for a few years, but he never expected the woman to do something so heinous. When he said heinous, you laughed inwardly since what you shared with her was considerably more than that.
At least, that's what you believe.
Maddie drove you home that night and looked after you until Scarlett returned from her shoot. When you were in your sweatpants, she knocked on your door and opened it till you saw her face again. You shook your head as you attempted to close the door, but she said as she pushed it shut, "I know you're pregnant."
"I also know that you have a husband."
She entered your flat and locked the door behind her before wrapping her arms around you and kissing the back of your head. "Please let go of me," you said quietly. "I-I can't even look at you right now."
"Baby, love-"
"You could've been honest with me from the start!" you raged, flinging your hand in the air as you watched her recoil at your words. "Now you're the one crying? You knocked me up! I was going to tell you sooner, but I found out from your spouse that you have a good relationship with him."
"He's lying," she screams as she grabs both of your hands and clutches them tight to her stomach. "He's lying, baby. We've been at war for a year, okay? I love you more than I love him."
You laughed sarcastically. "You're a great liar, aren't you?"
"If you could just sit down and-"
"No, I'm getting rid of this fetus inside of me until I no longer need you," you stated coldly, knowing it was true. "You got it? You talk to your fucking husband and leave me alone. We had nothing, and I will not be the other woman for you. I'm more than that, and if you won't give it to me, give it to your spouse."
"Stop," Scarlett pleaded, shaking her head as you uttered those words. Nothing else could possibly stop you. She kept touching your arms, but you pushed her away. "Please, Sweetheart, give me one more chance! I promise to divorce him soon, just don't get rid of our baby-"
"There's no such thing as a baby."
The woman got down on her knees and begged you to stay with her until you could trust her. But you pulled her away, trying not to think of the pain that had been hammering inside your heart and coursing through your veins. There was nothing but red, red, and red. The longer you looked at her, the more disgusted you were with yourself. You could've been smarter about it, and things could've finished sooner.
But she adored you in a way that no one else could.
At the end of the day, you ended your relationship with her and never saw her again. That, however, is a deception. You'd occasionally see her outside your apartment, her car parked a few blocks away, waiting for you to return. However, you never did.
What a way to conclude a love story, don't you think?

Y/N'S POV
Me and Scarlett are secretly in a arrange marriage and we managed to keep it hidden from everyone.
It was no surprise that she felt nothing towards me but the cold treatment still hurts me sometimes, because this is not what I dreamt of and expect when I entered the married life.
You might say that I'm stupid but I fell in love with her already, it sucks but what can I do? Being married to her and living under the same roof for over 2 years, it's not impossible anymore.
To my surprise, I woke up first before her. Normally, when I open my eyes, she's already out of bed but not this time.
We might be in a arrange marriage and we— she maybe don't feel any love for me, but we still agreed to sleep on the same bed just like what married couples do.
I carefully climb out of bed and do my routine before heading downstairs and make breakfast.
Halfway through my cooking, I heard her footsteps coming down the stairs.
"Goodmorning, Y/N." She greeted with her morning raspy voice. "Goodmorning." I replied.
"How come you're awake already?" Scarlett asked. "This is what time I usually woke up, you're just really much of an early bird." I said putting the last pancake on the plate before putting it on the table.
"Hmm, you can cook." She said, stating the obvious.
"I do."
We start eating in silence, it wasn't uncomfortable anymore since it was everyday.
We eventually finish eating without much talking and just minding our own business. She took a shower in our room while I use the shower in our guest room. Once I'm done, I change into appropriate clothing, and head downstairs with my things I need.
"I'll see you at school." Scarlett said once she saw me walking down. "Sure." I shortly replied as she walked out of the door.
I made myself a food for lunch and made sure to check my things before leaving the house making sure to lock the door and walked towards the cab. ___
The drive wasn't really that long and before I even notice, the car stopped in front of my school.
I gave the driver my payment before exiting the car and walking directly to my classroom.
When I entered the room, frown instantly forms in my face and my bloods starting to boil.
I saw her flirting with one of the teachers. I know, I shouldn't be feeling like this but I can't stop. I let out a scoff before rolling my eyes and walking towards my seat.
After that seems like forever, the bitc— I mean the teacher finally left and she turned to face us and start her discussion.
I wasn't really paying attention, I don't know what is going on but seeing her flirt just makes me mad. I mean, come on, she's still married to me. I just let out a deep sigh and tried to forget about it, which is failed by the way.
"I want you all to get a partner for your project." I heard her say in a cold tone.
Everyone starts getting their own partners while I still haven't moved an inch when someone coughs beside me.
I look up and saw Gabriel, my suitor, standing there with a smile. For the record, I never entertained him. I'm loyal even though she's not.
"Hey, uhm, would you like to be my partner?" He shyly asked and I was about to say something when we heard a loud bang.
We look forward and there she is, looking at me with stern and cold look, "Sorry, accidentally dropped the book." Professor coldly said and I internally smirk before turning my gaze back to Gabriel. Two can play this game, Johansson.
"Yes, ofcourse! I would love to." I happily replied which made him smile and his face lightened.
Whatever his reply would be got instantly cut off when someone shouted and I know very well who it is.
"Okay! Seems like everyone's have a partner, the deadline will be on Friday and no extensions. That would be all for today, class dismissed." She said and gathered her things, "Oh, and by the way, Y/LN please come to my office after this. You forgot your clothes at my house last night." She casually said with innocent smile on her face while my jaw dropped.
Everyone is in shock too, and I saw her smirk before casually leaving the room like she didn't say anything.
What the fuck?

Accidents II - S.J
Hiii, this is a very very sensitive fic and everything is not a real happenstance. Hope you enjoy!
WARNING ⚠️: Forced sex, super mean drunk Scarlett, physical abused, mental abused, hurt reader.
~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~
3rd Person's POV:
Scarlett woke up groggily, her head pounding with the ache of a hungover. Memories of last night seems to have ran away from her mind, all she could think of is how to wash away the alcohol in her system, externally and internally.
Blinking away the brightness that continuesly seeping through the thick curtains, she thought about how she would take a shower first and then having a very much needed hot coffee along with some painkillers.
Her body still felt slightly high because of the substances she took from last night, but then again, last night was completely forgotten.
Curiosity filled her when she realized that she slept in the guest room.
What the hell happened last night? She thought. Wishing, that she didn't slept in the guest room last night because you told her so, a possible result from one of her stupid doings when she's drunk.
Speaking of which, where are you right now? Maybe still sleeping, as far as she remembered you did took a shot or two before she demanded for you to drink only some of the fruit cocktails so you wouldn't be that drunk, because she fully knows well how light you are.
Taking some minutes for herself to take in everything, before sitting up, without looking back, she was quick to make her way towards the bedroom you shared, expecting for you to be still in your dream land, but she was met by a neat bed, without any signs of being used.
The 2 black cards she forgot yesterday was still laying on where she had left it.
Frowning, she continue to move around thinking that maybe, you did slept her and just cleaned everything up immediately, like you usually do and maybe, you just slept on the side of your bed peacefully without moving her side.
After she took a very much needed shower, thinking of everything she have and want to do today with her work and with you. So far, she wasn't busy, so she took it as a chance to spend the whole day with you.
She went downstairs expecting to see you there, to hear the music that you would play in the morning as you dance around the kitchen while cooking the most delicious breakfast, but, instead, she was met by silence.
"Y/n? Baby? Darling?" She called and called as she wandered around the house, in every corner where she thinks she could possible find you.
But, same things happened. You were nowhere to be found, which makes her frown.
Seeing that she couldn't find you and will not be able to know where you are, she decided to call you. So, she went in the sala, hoping to find her cellphone so she could call you.
But, to no avail, even her cellphone wasn't there, so she walked towards the kitchen and there she saw her phone on the floor, with Y/n's bag and the things inside it scattered around the floor.
Worry rush through her veins, and before she could even make a move, someone called her name.
"Scarlett, did you not heard me? Gosh, I was almost already screaming outside." There goes her manager, Lucy.
"Hey, do you know where's Y/n?" Lucy stopped in her tracks, the greeting is not what she expected. A hi or hello would be enough.
"No...? Why? Aren't you with her?- Oh,  and by the way, how was she? Last night was a complete fucked up mess." Scarlett could only throw a very confused face to Lucy as her manager rummage through her fridge.
"What?" Scarlett asked.
"I saw how she was so shaken up- oh, and you!..." Lucy stood up from her crouching position and turned to point a finger on Scarlett, now completely forgetting what she was trying to find. "Why did you dragged her like that? God, I saw how you almost ripped her arm. I hope you know by now that, that man was harassing her." Lucy once again, started rummaging through the fridge.
"Wait, wait, wait..." Scarlett stood up and ran towards Lucy and almost forcefully turned the older woman towards her. "What the fuck happened last night?"
~~~~~~~~~~
"Fuck, Lucy, I need to find her, right now. Can you please go around the house and help me find her? I'll just try to call her." Scarlett said before she began to wander around the house, checking the guest room on the first floor, while Lucy began to check the 2nd.
To no avail, Scarlett didn't saw Y/n, even a silhouette, as soon as she stopped in the middle of the living room, phone in her hand, typing away so many text for Y/n, a bloodcurdling scream was leashed out throughout her house.
Snapping her head up upstairs, her legs moved quickly until she was brought in front of the guest room she woke up this morning, a worried frown formed in her face when she saw Lucy standing over the end of the bed, looking down at something.
"What the fuck, Scarlett? Did you do this?" Lucy made a quick work to kneel down infront of the shaking black and white bruised body of Y/n, who is whimpering quietly as she put all her weight in between of the bed and the bedside table, naked with the comforter around her body that provides enough privacy, but not warmth.
Everything became muffled to Scarlett, the sweet comforting nothing that is coming out of Lucy's mouth was blocked out as Scarlett's blurred by tears in her eyes widened at the sight in front of her.
She saw how Y/n forced herself to be smaller in between of the furnitures, she saw the bruises littered all over her wife's black and blue body, as Y/n continuesly shaking her head that is bowed down side to side, afriad to be touched, scared to be seen, so sensitive to even move her mouth to talk.
Very traumatized.
It was a horrific sight that Scarlett felt her knees getting week, a muffled sob coming out of her mouth.
"No! Please..."
"Scarlett, please!"
"It hurts... I'm sorry... Please..."
"No, no, no- AHHH!"
"S-Scar-... Scarlett..."
Everything seemes to hit her like a massive truck, as she finally got everything settle inside her.
"No!" Y/n's shaking voice boomed weakly throughout the room, and Lucy looked back up at Scarlett with tears in her eyes threatening to spill.
Everybody loves the girlfriend of the actress, god, she was a ball of sunshine, has a smile that could light up the room. She was everything that everyone could ask for. She was so loveable, a fragile thing that no one would ever attempt to hurt her even verbally.
God, it broke Lucy's heart to see one of her dear friend like this. Y/n's like a little sister to her.
"Did you do this?" Lucy already knew, deep inside, she already knew, with how drunk Scarlett was last night, how she held Y/n around like she was weightless.
Scarlett came forward crouching down in front of her girl carefully, hands shaking as she ignored the question.
"I-..." Her own sob choked her up, her own words crumbles down on her throat as she took in your sight.
"Bab-..." She whimpered, as if she was feeling how hurt you are right now. "I'm-... I'm so-... I'm sorry." She stumbled speaking.
They heard you whispering, which broke their heart even more.
"No..."
"Please..."
"I can't anymore..."
"It hurts..."
"Stop..."
"Help..."
"Fuck, Scarlett." Lucy whispered, holding back a huge sob.
She can't believe it.
She can't believe anything that's in front of her.
Scarlett hurting Y/n would be a fever dream, she knew the actress could never ever, ever do that. Not in a million or billion of years.
Scarlett doesn't even let anyone touch her girl in such way.
God, even just looking at Y/n in a wrong way could build up so much anger inside of Scarlett, and a war would appear.
But...
This?...
It can't be true, does it?
"Fuck, Scarlett." Her voice is much more louder this time, tears started spilling out as she looked at Scarlett with so much hatred and disappointment, Scarlett only looked down at Y/n as if her whole world is crumbling down.
But, that seems to snap something out of Scarlett, everything was too much. So so much. God, she hurt the one best thing that has ever happened to her.
She hurt you.
"I know! God. Fuck, I know, Lucy." With that, broken sobs came out.
With that, Y/n's body moved, her voice became louder as she started to plead.
"No! Please. No, I can't anymore. Please, stop! I'll- I'll be good, I promise, please, d-don't." In each and every words that came out of Y/n's mouth, was like a sharpened knife slowly digging its way inside of Scarlett's heart.
"Hey, I'm sorry, I- I won't- I won't hurt you-" Scarlett started to reach out, and Y/n saw it that made her eyes wide, automatically, she forced herself to stand up out of fear, making both of the older woman in front of her to stand up too.
Wrong move, because as soon as Y/n stood up, her throat tightened, even though she was gripping the comforter in her hands to continue to cover up her body she now felt more showed off.
Her weakened knees started buckling, her vision blurring as she started to feel so light headed while words of pleas continuesly coming out of her mouth without any stop.
Her breathing became much more ragged, and they can see her situation.
But, she leaned towards Lucy, holding onto the woman with her dear life, as the woman hold her the same, as Scarlett took steps forward to also hold her girl, but Y/n only started to pushed herself more towards Lucy as if it was even possible.
"Y/n, angel..."
"Oh, sweet girl."
"D-don't touch me, please..." It was faint. "Get-... Out of here... Want out... Away... Please..." Now, it was only a mumble.
Both of their heart stopped when Y/n fell down, thankfully both of the woman caught her just in time.
They were still in shock, doesn't know what to do, or what to say.
But, they know that Y/n need them more than anything.
I can't say the same thing to Scarlett.
And, she knew that Y/n would need everyone but her.
And, that just broke her heart even more.
Tumblr media
Finnick Odair x Healer!Reader
Summary: Up until now, your life has been a solitary one. Being the sole owner of an herbal shop, and apothecary to many fishermen who have been injured. Just when your life seemed to follow the routine you were so used to, your life turns a 360 when you’re suddenly taken away for the 67th Annual Hunger Games. This turn of events forces you to accept the idea the Grim Reaper is stalking close behind you, faster than you had hoped for.
Chapter 2
The television was on. Very important Capitol hosts, by which Mr Flickerman was included, were wrapping up scenes of previous Hunger Games. Talking about their ‘favorite’ moments, arenas, and even victors.
You were sat on an armchair, your gaze fixated on the scene playing out. Two boys, fighting in a game of death. The hosts never mentioned their names, nor from which district they came, but the bloody moment when that year’s victor was messily cutting the other’s throat paralyzed you. The cut was done from an odd angle, and you murmured a curse when you saw the adrenaline of survival almost decapitate his victim. You cringed your nose and eyebrows, and with your surgical knowledge, you could bet your finger that, that Tribute could have been killed in a cleaner, faster, and more painless way.
You didn’t notice just how your air had been trapped against your throat. So when you released it, your chest felt emptier and cleaner from the bloody mess the hosts were laughing and joking about.
“Ok so, we need to prepare for the Games” Scarlett, the pinkish escort of District 4 appeared from behind you two, grabbing the remote and turning off the screen. Two more people trailed behind her, an older woman with uncontrollable silver curly locks, and a man all too familiar, especially to the civilians of District 4.
“But first things first. Let me introduce you to your mentors. This is Mags” Scarlett pointed at the short elder impatiently. Mags simply smiled brightly at the two of us. “You needn’t me to tell you, I know you already know. But still, I introduce you to Finnick Odair” To this Finnick turned up a smug smile with a silent chuckle rumbling just beneath his Adam’s apple.
Sacreltt went to sit at the crown of the large table. She was impatient and too upbeat, just like a kid waiting in line to ride a rollercoaster for the first time, it sickened you. You went to grab a chair, not before giving another glance at the victor from your District from two years ago. His bronze hair shined with the sun that started to set through the transparent clear window.
Scarlett called for tea to the nearest Avox girl. Specifying for English tea, with exactly two spoonfuls of brown sugar, and for the drink to be scalding hot. Then she grinned and looked at you and Vito again.
“Alright, babes. First things first, tell us about yourselves” Scarlett slightly tilted her head to the side. You noticed just how her makeup was still intact. It was rather simple compared to the other Capitol civilians you had seen. A pink tint with a golden shine added onto her lips, with an eyeshadow of the same hue. A purple eyeliner, as a means to contrast colors, curved around her eyes with the added cat tail coming off the corner of her eye.
You and Vito looked at yourselves, wondering just who to start with. Vito was the first to speak.
“Well, my name is Vito.” he seemed nervous, or perhaps he wasn’t prepared for the question.
“I work with my dad on my family’s prawn farm” he looked up at shyly Scarlett, and you had to focus on not getting distracted by how he nervously peeled onto the skin next to his fingernail.
“My dad, he trained me to be here…” Vito suddenly declared. Leaving you speechless, and questioning as to why he kept it hidden for so many hours. This changed many things for this year’s Hunger Games. And maybe, District 4 would claim another victor this year.
Scarlett’s eyes sparked up in excitement, and she clapped twice without realizing it. You were glad she was at least, happy about one of the Tributes since it's not like you could offer much more.
Finnick eyed Vito for a second before asking. “Your dad trained you?” a passing curiosity crossed his eyes almost playfully. Just then you could truly take in the treasure of a man he was. Sitting across from you, you could see his facial features quite well.
The tan of his skin perfectly complements his blonde hair. The way his cheekbones were so prominent it highlighted his eyes if that was even possible when his eyes were so green and lively like nature itself planted a seed, and a forest grew in the summer breeze inside. And still, it almost seemed hypnotizing just how you wanted to trace your fingers across his cheek, then down to his thin lips that were stuffed with the beautiful color of candied pink. His clean-shaven face revealed the otherwise cute face he had. Not hard looking or intimidating, but soft, and just like his eyes. He reminded you of the summer under the silhouettes of maple trees, of warmth and refreshing sunlight.
“Correct. He used to tell me about how he used to train, and how he wished to have gone to the Hunger Games. I guess he wanted me to live his dream” Vito explained, a perplexed look on your face very much visible to the rest of the people present.
He didn’t add anything else, and you forced a few blinks to take in what he said and try to comprehend as much as you could. Your eyes left to stare off into the wall for barely three seconds, with the only conclusion that some people didn’t deserve to have kids.
“What about you, birdie? Who are you?’” Scarlett spoke in a more reasonable calmer tone than before. But you still struggled to understand the people you are sharing a room with. None of them seemed to be the least concerned about what Vito just said.
You were more lenient with the victors, especially Mags. You supposed it wasn’t great seeing so many Tributes you mentored, just to be brutally assassinated in the arena, and you supposed she’d already seen her fair share of wild parents stories, all with with questionable parenting skills. And Finnick probably was still succumbed to what he had to go through two years ago.
But why was Scarlett so nonchalant about it? It was rather bitter having her in your surroundings at almost all the time. It wasn’t exactly that she was completely indifferent, but she was excited to see one of the most God awful things in the world, laughing along to the cruelty that many children were subjected to, an you would soon join into that statistic.
However, you knew you had to get used to her behaviour sooner or later. Even when everything seemed so nauseating, and you knew it was bad when you could taste the bile coming up for your throat. God, you hated this.
So you ignored your sentiments and carried on. Because now taking pity on the way he was raised was not the right moment. Not when the both of you had been thrown into the same deadly game, when anyone’s background means absolutely nothing to spare your life.
Even if you hate to admit it, Scarlett was right, we need to trace a plan, and we only have a day to take a look over every card we were setting on the table.
“Well…” You started. “You probably already know this, by my name is Y/N L/N. I’m fifteen and I’m a doctor” You took a sneaky look over Scarlett, seeing her energetic face come back, and you retracted a bit. “Well, kind of. I work at a herbal shop. It's just a lot of fishermen get injured during the day, they normally come in when they need immediate care” you explained.
“Immediate care?” questioned the escort’s sparkling eyes. You internally sighed, you could already predict this was going to be a prolonged conversation. Over something that woudn’t be much of use once you’d be dropped off in the arena.
“Yeah.” you confirmed, but you furher continued. “For instance yesterday, a group came rushing to my shop because one of them had slipped and fallen on the deck, hitting his head in the process. They were logically concerned when he wouldn't wake up, even more so when a big bleeding cut appeared from his head” you recalled. If it meant this talk would help in any way, you give away the details of your former life. Still knowing there was barely a chance for you to survive, you still played  along the planning game, even when you’d already convinced yourself of your eventual doom.
“That’s a pretty big injury, you can take care of that?” now it was Finnick speaking, his gorgeous face directed at you. It was something being in the presence of someone whose beauty was ethereal, but them speaking to you was a bigger milestone. Your heart thumped hard, and you cursed at yourself for just how embarrassing you were being. You took a mental note, one which consisted of berating yourself infront of the bathroom mirror. It was fine being attracted to someone; it was fine to walk by someone and to instantly be charmed by you. But all in its context, yours was exactly of that in a few remaining days of your death penalty would be finalized. You were going to die.
You supposed then you mind must’ve churned itself. You already accepted this fate. You might as well give yourself the privilege to internally comment about someone’s looks, you at least had that last bit of freedom to do that, right?
“Of course. I also can take a look for infected wounds, just like finding antidotes to poisons. I especially like that one” You told him with a small smile appearing. Oh god, that smile. Right there and then was the evidence of his popularity in the Capitol.
You had to bite your tongue before any of your senseless thoughts spilled all over the table for everyone to hear your most inner provoking thoughts.
Then again silence to your gratitude. The only sounds of the railing echoing against the bullet train. You went to look over at Mags, and noticed just how quiet she was throughout the whole planning, and you supposed she fitted into a more calming human prototype, one where her peacefulness enhanced her rather ‘listener rather than a speaker’ personality type.
She realized your gaze on her, and she returned it with a small smile. With a continuous electric reaction that zip zapped it ways until it reached her gliting eyes.
That warmth her embraced you in stuck with you, and you coudn’t help but find her especially so meltingly cute. All the wrinkles were in full display, and it taught you that even after decades of experience, and traumatizing memories of setting foot in the arena, you could still smile just enough that Heaven’s doors would open up for you without further doubt of your light as feather soul.
But even in her gentle smile, and pure eyes, so pure it was easily to compare of that a riverbank flowing down a green mountain. There was still something behind her skull, a lurking darkness swimming in bitter water.
“I think I know why you look so familiar” Finnick changed to a new topic of conversation. He looked at you pointedly, scanning your every pore and mole hidden along your skin. And he nodded once he made up his mind, a sly smirk coming up to his lips. This had to be illegal.
It wasn’t fair just how easily it made you so jumpy, and you hoped and begged to whatever entity, whatever you were feeling wasn’t reflected on the mirror of your body.
“I’m pretty sure you bandaged me up once, I remember going to an herbal store when I was younger when I cut myself with a fishhook,” he said. His smile should absolutely be prohibited for being under some sort of national scale threat, because the way his eyes landed on yours with that slow creeping smile made your heart trip hard… several times. But then you had to keep reminding yourself. Stop. Being. Weird.
You needed to think straight, freezing your heart and mind. If you could you’d punch yourself, and open your eyes at what was at stake here. A few more slow breaths and you’d be able to consume yourself with reason, at least you tried to convince yourself of that. But it was hard, the screaming helplessness surrounding you like a heavy poisonous fog, choking and hurting you with the sole purpose to remind you it was just days away for you fight for your own survival; and then, Finnick was the whispering thoughts. He was the only thing taking you out from a self-absored battling arena, almost like a human stoned oasis. You never has spoken to him, at least not that you oculd recall, but if it meant a pretty stranger would be the one to distract your distressing thoughts, then so be it.
“How old were you though? Edna never let me touch her things until I was nine. Which quite frankly never stopped me from using it behind closed doors…” Finnick chuckled at that last comment. He was slowly removing the bitter taste left on my tongue with his sweet presence. But to you, it was beginning to be a little too much. Having his attention was considered a precious treasure in itself, and you weren’t blind as to why. The way he had some sort underlying flirt in his normal talk was starting to put you on edge. His very own voice was just like caramel that melted in your tongue, and there was no dial it tasted just like high-class pastries.
The very moment you realized that this was in his nature, you were able to calm down slightly. There was no point getting internally worked up when he didn’t mean anything further other than to make conversation. A sigh of relief escaped escaped your mouth.
“Is that so? I suppose it must have been Edna then…Edna was it?” he trailed off with a more relaxed smile. Yup, you were confident to state that his entire being was a nuclear weapon, and you should fear the day they’d try to put him in use, because you were sure all of Panem would be doomed.
It was increasingly becoming harder trying to talk to someone in a noirmal conversation with your running mind.
“Very much correct” You leaned back against your chair, to try and find a more comfortable spot. Vito gave an odd look at the exchange of words given between me and the victor, the very same you plasmated earlier. One of indecipherable shock, and you coudn’t blame Vito for the way he was feeling.
“I. Just. Had. The. Best. Idea” Scarlett stood up, she looked like she was talking to herself in her usual loud manner. Her abrupt pauses were very much loved and used in everyday form by the people in the Capitol, they simply loved that sweet exaggeration they coudn’t get over. “No one will see this coming,” she exclaimed in excitement, and unlike her she mumbled her words out. “Y/N, the Healer of our Capitol’s Darling” She made a movement with her hands, just as if displaying the front title from a big article, and every word that left her mouth, the more she fell in love with your marketing strategy she just came up.
“Well, actu-” you tried to put out a single sentence. But Scarlett’s ideas were much louder than the what hjappened in reality.
 “If you’ll excuse me for a few minutes” She went to walk away, presumably to her room. So happily she was one step away from dancing around the salon car to her sleeping chamber.
You exhaled a sigh, not in the mood to refute Scarlett, so you let her go on with her planning.
“Well, as long as I gain sponsors, I suppose it’s alright for me then” you absentmindedly talked. You felt a yawn crawl out of your mouth, so you went to cover it while rolling your eyes to the window. You were pleasantly surprised to find the beautiful view of the night. The moon and the stars shone across the sea, painting an alluring picture over it.
“You tired? Maybe you should head back to sleep?” Vito’s voice is concerned. You looked at him, still in a slight trance from the yawn, and smiled briefly at him. “Don’t worry. I’m fine”.
Just then, the red clothing of the Avox came into view. She was carrying a ceramic tray, traced with golden line art. Placed on top, where the cute tea cup along with the teapot and and a differently designed cup for its special use of storing sugar cubes. You concluded the ceramic products were all bought as a designed set.
The large teapot had a trunk of that of the elephant you have only seen in adventure books targeted to children. You respected the artist’s innovative cheeky drawing on it. Many types of birds, which reminded you of the representation of the higher class of society, things like peacocks and cranes showing their beautiful feathers, all in the shimmering brushstroke gold. The five teacups followed suit with the same design.
Along with drinks though, the Avox seemed to bring an extra treat. Two layers of plates hung, and above were many pastries you’d never thought you’d be able to digest. Your eye had caught one shortcake specifically, one where the top was filled with freshly cut strawberries, glazed over with molten sugar, its provocative appearance rumbled your belly with eagerness.
Then after placing everything on the table, the Avox gave a knowing look and walked off with the tray, presumably to the kitchen, or perhaps to knock on Scarlett's room and give her the requested drink.
Your attention was back to the contents of the table. Not wanting to come off as rude, but very impatient to try them out. You looked over the people’s faces. Vito was reclined against the chair, a gloomy expression on his face, and you didn’t need to ask to know why.
So you stopped. And while your belly was moaning for that sugary treat, you ignored it. A sensation similar to guilt washed over your chest. You supposed you wished you felt like him, to be worried about the arena. He felt like he was being skinned by the tumultuous thoughts of his, and tlhough differently, you understood that emotinal pain. However, what set you and Vito apart was that since stepping your foot on the train, you had been accepting your impending death seantence.
Perhaps you hadn’t truly taken in the situation, maybe the idea you were going to fight in the arena was so disorienting, your psychology couldn’t fully comprehend it. It hadn’t connected the wires, and once you’d be face to face with the rest, you’d probably sink and drown in remorse for not taking this situation as you should have.
The sleepless nights you’ve been having since the first Reaping you attended left you wondering if you’d be trapped in this hunting competition. Maybe you exhausted your brain with so many different scenarios, that it had simply got used to the idea of your death.
Just maybe that’s why you took more importance of the delicious snacks you’d never imagined you’d taste, because this is more of a shock than the Games itself. And you could imagine for Vito, who has family and friends beside him, it was much harder to take in. Because for you, the only thing you were leaving behind were just physical, instead of Vito, which were the built relationships he created long his nlife. The memories, the feelings, and the what could’ve been in the future with their company.
You touched his shoulder, rubbed it slightly to get his attention. His dark-as-coal eyes roamed to yours, worried traces evident on the wrinkles he formed. He didn’t say much else, and he found himself being unable to utter a word, not knowing what to say. You gulped down nervously.
You didn’t quite know what to do in this type of situation. You normally would scurry off and cry alone, but that was because you were used to your lonely life. Edna was your only friend, even adopting as a grandma figure over the decade you had spent together. And even so, she wasn’t a very sentimental person, and you were unable to read off her emotions. Naturally, you eventually learned that side of her, and you kept repeating to yourself you didn’t need anyone to comfort you, that you were just fine to deal with yourself.
But for Vito it must be different, he grew up in with people surrounding him. When you climbed up the car that led you to the train, you were able to catch fragments of his family. His father was there along with his mother, a baby in her doting arms. Three little girls, all with the same hair color as Vito's, waved him goodbye, with tear-stricken eyes and red cheeks.
He always had someone to talk to when needed to share something, and even if he didn’t, he was used to the physical comfort you lacked.
He looked away, staring off to the nightly ocean. You forced yourself to be that source of comfort that his sister must have provided him, because his pitiful expression was simply just too much for you.
“I hope this isn’t strange-” you cut yourself. You got reminded of the way Philip comforted Emi earlier that day. And as he looked up to see what you meant, you got up from your chair and leaned against him. A quick peck over his creased eyebrow while you hand found stability from his jaw, your index finger pressed over his cheek. You never saw his look of surprise, and if you did it would probably make you turn back and awkwardly sit back down on your chair from embarrassment. But you didn't, so with your chin resting on his shoulders, you pushed him further into your embrace. Your arms wrapping around his waist.
You didn’t say anything, and you obligated your body to relax from the physical touch you had avoided for so many years, for his sake. Because Vito was the one who mattered right now, and not your foreign feeling.
You closed your eyes. Your arm brushing passed to hold the nape of his neck. “Everything will be alright” you whispered into his ear. Even though you were copying everything Philip said to his sister, you still meant every word from your beating heart.
He wrapped his arms around you, and in doing so he pressed himself more into your body, in an attempt to hide himself from the rest. His tanned hands went along to grab your shirt from your back. His breaths were becoming shakier, and in some instances you felt him hiccup into your shoulder, whilst also trying to control his ragged breathings. You drew circles around his back for more added comfort, tickling his back with the phantom touch of your fingers slowly flowing around the body of his back.
“You’ll be fine” you whispered again, brushing his ears with the warmth of your breath. You slightly removed yourself from him, finding more room to untangle yourself from him. You noticed how his grip on you had become stubbornly stronger. But you didn't mind. Not when you hand crawled up to his hair and cupped the back of it. Your fingers laced with his onyx hair. You faced him, giving him another peck of his cheekbone. And you found yourself with the salty only tears could make, no matter how salty the sea may be, you let his pure tears flow down your taste glands and welcomed it into your stomach.
He hadn’t cried much you realized, maybe just two tears, one for each eye. And while you brushed his head, you felt his breath deepen and exhale, trying to calm himself down as well.
You stood up, your fingers planting over his jaw and nape. Tilting his head upward to you. You could see the shine of his tear river going down to his cheek. A small smile, one you hoped to encouraging, all the while you dried his tears with your thumbs.
His eyes locked with yours, traces of humidity on his lashes as he looked up at you. A shining sclera evident with the way the light bulb reflected on his eyes.
“I’ll make sure of it. '' Your smile widens, showing just slightly your front teeth previously hidden by your lips of affection.
You traced a few messy hair strands behind his ear, and he leaned deeper into your hand’s touch. He suddenly got stuck to you. He missed the warmth your body provided him, how hidden from everyone he felt, and how it made him feel like a little child being protected from the world’s cruelty.
His head was pressed against your chest, and you only chuckled, a few tones lower than your usual voice. You pet his head, sliding from the crown of your head to his neck, just to put it back up, and repeat that move over and over again. You closed your eyes, and a closed-lipped smile appeared in your features, forgetting the upcoming Games. He needed you to be strong for him, and today, you’d protect him from whatever threat lurked behind the dark corners “I promise” you gave him an oath with the very intention to keep it.
The victors sat across from them looking at the two Tributes. Mags looked over at Finnick, and just repeated what you had just done, she placed her hand over his shoulder. She grabbed onto it tighter, her look reflected on his green eyes. Mags closed her lips and eyed him more intensely. Finnick’s frown was present, and he interlocked his eyes with his mentor. She gave him a small smile, and slightly nodded at her, reassuring she needn’t be as concerned about him.
Finnick played with his fingers as he watched the both of you. He just felt something break seeing the both of you, like the only line that kept him sane, was suddenly cut and he fell to a dark abyss, one filled with the monsters he dreams about. He gulped down hard. And something in him wished for your empathic arms to wrap around him. He for once wanted to feel small and well taken care of, he wanted your words to help him cope at night. But he regretted how that could be disturbing for eyes of others, he was your mentor, and you were a Tribute who was most likely going to die soon anyway. He lamented just then, just how many souls, as clean as the white feathers of doves, would be taken for the Capitol’s entertainment.
Mags kept her gaze on the child she had started to consider her only son. She felt troubled over him, and she couldn’t help but feel guilty she couldn't erase his fragile and hurt soul.
Wandering Eyes
Word count: 2,203
Astarion x Fem Tav
I hyperfocused for 4 hours straight and this is what fell out. My first longer story, please enjoy 💙
Astarion often finds himself staring at Tav.
At first it’s to size her up - see how she thinks, how she holds herself, how she reacts to the others and the situations they keep finding themselves in. Searching for any information that will help him in his goal of getting this tadpole out of his head, of gaining allies in this bizarre and disorienting situation.
Maybe even allies that can help him wipe Cazador off the face of the planet, he thinks to himself.
Early on it’s obvious that Tav has become the leader of this little wayward crew. She’s the first to take action, making the quick decisions that have kept them alive this long. Leading them across this gods forsaken land, collecting more members all along the way. He’s not too thrilled about that last part, but safety in numbers he supposes. She’s the clear key to getting the others to accept him.
As soon as he thinks he has a good read on her, he turns it into a tool. A too easy tactic sharpened by years of experience. The many cataloged faces and expressions ready to be equipped just like anything else he wears. Armor is the word he can’t quite find.
It’s child’s play really, the formulas for seduction, for enticing others into his orbit. Something that has become second nature for him. He senses he will need to take it somewhat slow with her, work his way up to more. It’s a much slower burn than most of the one night lovers he’s had over the many years.
He starts with a classic - a brief but strong, intense gaze right into her eyes, as if he’s peering into her soul. Trying to convey a certain air that says, you’re the only thing on my mind. Luckily he has plenty of opportunities to perform this tactic, it seems she enjoys visiting his tent just to chat. Seeking him out most nights. No surprise, he knows he’s a talented conversationalist.
It’s strange though, she often asks the kind of questions he’s not as used to answering. She asks his opinion on all the hectic events playing out around them, on what he thinks they should do next, checks in to make sure he’s doing okay. Perfect, he thinks, she’s clearly already starting to become enamored.
He tries not to question the strange feeling in his gut every time she walks away.
Days pass, long and arduous, filled with more fighting than he’s ever had to dole out. He often finds himself back to back with Tav, each keeping their initial promise to watch out for one another. Good, at least she likes him enough to continue protecting him. They press on, trekking through the hellish wilderness. With her and the rest of the crew chatting and joking around, he finds himself minding less and less.
Unfortunately for him, he still can’t quite work out if his advances have been effective or not. He begins to occasionally throw in a prolonged look, dragging his eyes up and down her body - never lingering for too long, but still an obvious appreciation of her form. Projecting confidence and desire while catching her eyes from across camp. Pairing it with a few flirtatious comments and he’s sure she’ll be in the palm of his hand soon enough.
He's making progress, she’s definitely warmed to him, but he still senses her guard is up. Not a problem, if all else fails, everyone melts when he tilts his pretty face down and looks up through hooded lids. His long lashes and scarlett eyes pairing oh so perfectly. He’s been complimented on his eyes more times than he could ever count. Almost hypnotizing the ones he lavishes his gaze upon. Lowering his voice to a softer, deeper, sweet tone, he tells her all the things she could possibly wish to hear. How beautiful she is, how he wants her, how he needs her.
It’s not a total lie, he finds himself thinking. He pushes away the thought as soon as it pops into his head.
As the days continue to go by, he becomes less confident that she’s the easy target he first thought her to be. She seems to like him well enough, but frustratingly doesn’t react in the same ways he’s typically used to during this whole seduction business. She just smiles and looks right back, asking him questions that are much too personal for his taste. His flirtatious comments are met with her pretty smile and a good natured laugh, throwing banter right back at him with ease. He’s not sure if she’s just not attracted to him or if he’s doing something wrong.
His confusion only increases when one day a much too nice piece of armor is neatly left on his bedroll, he immediately knows who it’s from. Inspecting it, he notices the finer details - it’s something she easily could have sold for a hefty amount of gold. When he asks about it, she just looks at him and says, to protect you, with that same maddening smile.
Next time, it’s a book he’d been eyeing some days ago while looting one of the many destroyed villages they’d come across. It had been too ruined to take back to camp and he sighed, tossing it back into the pile of rubble he snatched it from. When she sees the astonished look on his face, she shrugs and says, I just saw it at the market and thought of you. Simple as that.
It’s perplexing. They’ve been traveling together for some time now and she hasn’t tried to proposition him, hasn’t asked for anything in return. If she isn’t interested, then why does she keep coming over to talk to him each night? Why does she leave all those small, thoughtful gifts?
Why did she let him bite her?
Astarion tells himself to get it together, he’s usually better at reading people than this. He tries to convince himself that it must be the long days and variety of conflicts they’ve had to deal with - strange and dangerous creatures, endless walking, Gale.
To his chagrin he starts to notice himself staring even when he doesn’t mean to. When she’s talking to whatever new foe or potential ally they’ve stumbled across, he can’t seem to keep his eyes from straying towards her. The confidence and conviction she radiates is magnetic. It surprises him, some feeling he can’t name swirling in his stomach. His eyes get caught on her sunlit profile, walking side by side and hanging a little ways back from the others. He finds his breath catching in his chest at the captivating way she laughs, how her nose crinkles and eyes light up. The way her hair drapes against the curve of her neck, tantalizing in the most frustrating way. Each time she approaches him and so graciously offers to let him feed on her - well, he begins to find himself fantasizing more and more about coming to her tent earlier in the evening.
When she’s still awake, he thinks. This time welcoming the thought.
Soon it starts to become a problem. The others are noticing, he’s not sure if she has too. Tav hasn’t said anything about it, but he also knows their fearless leader isn’t stupid. How embarrassing, is he actually starting to develop feelings for someone who just sees him as a companion? At best, a loyal friend perhaps. He’s more than okay with that, his fondness for Tav has grown considerably - but he’s not some lovesick puppy. At this point he worries that if he did try to bring it up, he’d push her away. That’s the last thing he wants.
He tries his best to not dwell on what he’d do if she wasn’t around anymore. He loathes to admit the idea scares him.
It all culminates one day in battle. He catches a glimpse of her surrounded by goblins and before he can react to help, she’s knocked them back in one blow. It’s beautiful the way she fights, so focused and intense. So powerful. The only thing on her mind is to keep moving forward, to keep protecting her allies - her friends. Pushing on until every single danger has been handled and every enemy eviscerated.
Suddenly he’s hit hard with a thunderwave spell, throwing him through the air and knocking the wind out of him. His ears are ringing and all he can do is lie on the ground trying to pull breath into his lungs. He admonishes himself while trying to get his bearings - idiot, how could he let himself get so distracted?
His eyes come to focus on Tav, sprinting in his direction as fast as he’s ever seen her run. In two hits she cuts down the nearby sorcerer who had aimed their attack at him. She’s suddenly by his side, a hand on his shoulder with a concerned look on her face. It's not fair, she’s even beautiful covered in blood and wearing that worried expression. He never stood a chance, he realizes.
She trusts the others to finish off the last couple enemies across the field. Crouched next to him and training her eyes intently on his, she asks him if he’s okay, where it hurts. He sees something in her face that he’s only seen a few times, true fear.
It’s ridiculous but the only thing he feels in that moment is an unbearable pressure in his chest.
Later that night while patching their wounds, Tav finds her way next to him. They sit in silence for a few moments before she says, “I was really worried about you out there today.” She pauses then continues on, “You scared me.”
He’s taken aback for a second, eventually saying, “While I appreciate the concern, I can handle myself just as well as anyone else here.” It comes out too harsh.
He pivots and puts on a smile, joking in a lighter tone, “Despite what it looked like today that is - I was actually just having a little mid-battle rest. Couldn’t you tell?”.
She chuckles, “My deepest apologies, how could I ever have thought otherwise.” Pausing again she bites her lower lip thoughtfully for a moment. When she continues it's with a more serious tone, but he can still see a small smile on her lips. “You know I wouldn’t dream of questioning your tactics, but how about you let me know next time you want to..rest..during battle. So I can at least watch your back.” she finishes sheepishly.
That is not what he was expecting her to say. He can’t help but think, why does it always feel like she’s pulling the rug out from under his feet. He can’t take it anymore.
He turns his gaze to look her directly in the eyes before he says, “I froze out there today because I was an idiot”, there's an obvious frustration behind it. “I lost focus and I can’t say for sure it won’t happen again.”
Now she’s surprised, “What do you mean? Is everything okay?” a furrow in her brow forming.
He takes a shaky breath in - here it comes. “Tav, I was distracted because I was looking at you. I -", he gathers his thoughts, "Sometimes it feels impossible to take my eyes off you.”
He continues on in a quieter, more vulnerable voice, “I care about you more than I ever thought I would.” He looks away as the words spill from his lips, “More than I thought I could. It’s not something I’m familiar with, whatever these feelings are. But I know they’re feelings for you.”
More resolute he looks back at her face, taking it in for a moment, “Real feelings, not just a role I’m playing. It's new territory for me.” He braces himself, “If you don’t feel the same way I understand, it’s really no problem. I just..couldn’t take another moment without you knowing.”
Tav searches his face, he’s not sure what she’s looking for. Suddenly she moves closer.
Very seriously she looks at him and says, “I care about you too Astarion, you’re a very special person to me.”
His heart soars, hope buzzing in his stomach and that unmistakable feeling he hasn’t been able to identify rises in his chest once again.
He gingerly places one hand on her neck, drawing her towards him, stroking her jawline with his thumb. Looking into her eyes he sees it on her face, she wants him too. He leans forward to meet her, placing a tender kiss on her lips as if this spell will break at any second. She smiles into it - that damned smile that’s been driving him crazy.
He kisses her a little more passionately, lavishing the feeling of her lips on his.
He pulls away and stares at her face one more time. They both break into a grin and his nerves calm as he lets out a small laugh.
Today is not the day he puts a name to the feeling that has spread from his chest and into the rest of his body, but he has a feeling it will come to him soon enough.
Masterlist Scarlett Masterlist
Relationship: Natasha x ex-Reader
Summary: Friends most of thier lives and in a relationship from 17 years old, Y/n and Scarlett's relationship deteriorated when Scarlett started her acting career. In contrast Y/n joined the military and has a surprise encounter after many years when she returns from duty.
Word Count: 3881
Y/n's POV:
I have known Scarlett Johansson most of my life. We grew up together and our parents are really close friends. We were best friends for most of our childhood and then we started dating when we were 17. For 3 years we were together, and we had a great relationship. We may have been young, but our love was strong. I adored her and I truly believe that she did in return.
When we turned 20, she started being away more for filming, and because our relationship wasn't public, I wasn't able to travel with her or spend as much time as I'd hoped. Over time, the contact was getting less and less. We used to call everyday regardless of where she was and be texting through the day. But as the months went on, she called less and eventually just stopped messaging me all together.
What was worse was still seeing her family regularly. I loved her parents, especially her mom and I struggled to still spend time with them when I had been completely ghosted by their daughter. So, to protect my already broken heart, I started to distance myself from them. I was in college in New York and just focused on getting to graduation.
Much to my Mom's dismay, when I graduated college, I joined the Army. I commissioned as an Officer and was posted out to Fort Benning in Georgia. I was due to be posted to Afghanistan so my parents decided to throw a huge party to send me off. I was surprised when the Johanssons appeared at the door, but I was grateful to see them before I left.
I needed to take a breather and stood outside in our garden to collect my thoughts of how I ended up here. I hadn't ever really been far from my family. I had stay in New York for College. It was weird at first when I went to Georgia a year ago. Now I was heading to Afghanistan on my first deployment, and I was leading my unit. As I was lost in thought, I felt a hand placed on my shoulder. "You look so grown up in your uniform." I turned around and saw Melanie, Scarlett's mom. "I still remember you running around our back garden playing soldiers with Scarlett as 8 year olds. I never thought you'd actually end up going to fight." She said with a sad look on her face.
I took her hand and pulled her into a hug. "I'm sorry I stopped coming to see you. It was just hard." I apologised. "We understood Y/n. I'm sorry that my daughter didn't have the courage to talk to you and not just block you out of her life." She said sincerely. "I've always considered you like a daughter Y/n. I hope you can keep in contact whilst you're away." She said and I instantly felt my guilt grow for shutting them out of my life just because of what Scarlett had done.
"I'll write as often as I can and when I come home to visit, I'll be sure to come by. You and Karsten are family to me." We pulled away from our hug and she gave me a teary smile. "How about a photo before you leave?" She asked and I happily obliged. We went and sought out Karsten and my parents and took a few photos. As I was leaving this evening I was already in my uniform.
Once the party was over, I had a teary goodbye with my parents and made my way to the station for my train to Georgia ready for my flight in the morning. As I put my bag on my back, I turned and saw my dad holding my mom in the doorway as they watched me leave. I turned around and gave them a wave as I turned the corner out of sight. Their words still ringing in my ears. "Please come back to us."
_____________
It had been 4 years since I left, and I had barely been home. I had done one tour of Iraq and was in the middle of my second tour of Afghanistan. I wrote as often as I could as making calls was difficult from the patrol bases, I was stationed at. I had kept my promise and was in regular contact with Melanie. The couple of times I had managed to get home, I always would drop by and see them.
As much as I had tried to avoid any news on Scarlett, I would still see things in the press or online. She was just going through a divorce with Ryan Reynolds and that did nothing for my confidence. No wonder she wanted to stop any contact with me when she had guys like him around. Luckily, I only saw things like this when I was back in the US. Thankfully gossip news wasn't exactly a priority in Afghanistan so it was pretty easy to avoid it whilst I was there.
I was currently sat on the train on my way back home for R&R leave and I was nervous as I hadn't been home in nearly 2 years. I was planning on spending my week off with my parents before I had to fly back out. My parents didn't know that I was coming home so I was excited to surprise them, although I knew that I was going to have to explain the cuts and bruises from an incident I was involved in.
After the long train journey, I jumped in a taxi to head home. My leg was bouncing with nerves at the thought of seeing my parents again. I had really missed them and wished that I had made the effort to come home more often. As the taxi pulled up outside my house, I paid up and found myself just standing on the front step. I could hear music and laughing inside and there was a part of me that didn't want to interrupt. But I took a deep breath and knocked on the door.
The door swung open, and my Dad was stood there. It took a moment for him to register that it was me before he silently just pulled me into the biggest hug he has ever given me. I could hear small sniffles and as he pulled away, I noticed a few tears had fallen down his cheeks. "I can't believe you're home!" He said through the tears. "Who is it Henry?" I heard my mom call from the dining room. "I think you should come and see for yourself Mary." He replied, never taking his eyes off of me.
I heard her gasp and let out a small scream as she saw me stood in the doorway. "OH MY GOD! My baby!" she ran toward me and launched herself at me, almost knocking me over. "Hi Mom. I missed you." I said into the hug. My dad joined the hug and we stayed like that for what felt like hours. When our hug was done my mom cupped my face and I could see her examining the couple of cuts I had on my face. "You're hurt. What happened?" She stated. I placed my hands on hers and shook my head. "I'm fine. I'll tell you about it another time." I replied, not wanting to get into that story now.
Our little family reunion was interrupted by a voice from behind us. "Little Y/n has really grown up." Karsten said walking forward to give me a quick hug. "I am 27 now." I laughed in response. "Good to see you still look good in your uniform." Melanie added as she now appeared. I couldn't help the wide grin on my face when I saw her. I instinctively opened my arms and we hugged. "I'm glad you're home safe." She whispered.
I nodded and looked around at 4 of the most important people in my life. But I felt my heart completely drop when I heard another shuffle come from the dining room. I looked over and saw a face I hadn't seen in over 5 years. Scarlett. I could feel the air get thicker as our parents all dropped their eye contact. Ignoring her presence, I turned to my mom. "I should have called. I didn't realise you had company. I need a shower, so I'll leave you guys to it." I said, grabbing my bag and making my way towards the stairs.
I was stopped by my mom grabbing my wrist. "Y/n, you are never interrupting us. Please join us for some food." I couldn't stay down here. I know it's been years since I last saw her and I should have moved on already, but seeing her stood there again, I couldn't do it. "I really need a shower mom. I've got sand in places I never wanted sand." I joked and carried on up the stairs to my room. Well, this wasn't how I expected my leave to go.
Scarlett's POV:
(1 year ago)
I was visiting my parents in New York whilst I had a break from filming. Things with Ryan and I weren't going well, and I needed some time away to clear my head and work out what I wanted. I had some work to get done today, so I was in my mom's office and a photo on her desk caught my eye.
It took me a moment to realise who it was. Y/n. She was in an Army uniform and was with both my parents. When was this even taken? I hadn't seen Y/n since I left to film in LA. I hated to admit it, but I had treated her awfully. I was so scared of coming out, that I decided I couldn't be with her anymore. But instead of doing the right thing and talking to her. I was a coward and slowly started to ignore her until she finally stopped messaging me.
I hated doing it as I loved her more than anything. I threw myself into work so I could ignore my feelings and try to get over the love of my life. Eventually I met Ryan and I thought I had managed to succeed in forgetting about Y/n. And I had for a while, but there would be small things in our relationship that would annoy me and I'd find myself thinking that Y/n wouldn't do that. But when I had these thoughts, I would just supress them, I couldn't think of her like that anymore.
I grabbed the photo frame and walked downstairs to my mom who was cooking in the kitchen. "When was this taken?" I asked, placing the photo on the kitchen counter. My mom looked down at the photo and back to me sighing. "3 years ago, the day she left for her first deployment." She answered. "Why didn't you tell me she joined the army." I asked, slightly frustrated. "It was your decision to cut her out of your life. Like I told you every time you would ask about her. If you wanted to know about her, you should have contacted her." She replied harshly.
She was right. At the beginning I was always asking how she was and what she was up to. But every time my mom would shut me down and would tell me that if I cared enough to know about her, I should contact her myself. I never had the courage to do that. "Where is she now?" I asked. Mom put down the knife she had in her hands and gave her full attention to me. "Georgia. She's getting ready to deploy to Afghanistan again." I let her words sink in as she spoke.
I felt a knot in my stomach at the thought of her being in a war zone. "We're all very proud of her. She's the first woman to lead a combat infantry unit. She's done amazingly well in her career." My mom explains with a smile on her face. "Do you keep in contact with her?" I question. She nodded. "She writes as often as she can."
"Does she um. Did she ever ask about me?" I tentatively inquired. Mom dropped her eye contact and instantly knew her answer. "No. I think it hurt her too much. She changed after you left. She put up this wall. You really hurt her Scar." She said. I knew I had hurt her, and I really regretted it. But I knew I wouldn't ever be able to make it up to her. I'd never earn her forgiveness.
_____________
(Night Y/n returns)
We were all having a nice meal with the Y/l/ns. I had recently moved back to New York after my divorce. I was spending a lot of time with my parents as I needed their support. I also started to see more of Henry and Mary so I could feel closer to Y/n. I still hadn't reached out to her. I wanted to more than anything, but I had no idea how I would even start.
We had just started to eat when there was a knock at the door. Henry got up to answer it. We couldn't hear much, just mumbling. Mary then got up to check who it was. My parents and I all had a worried look when we heard a small scream from Mary followed by "Oh my god!". We quickly got up and my parents were first to leave the dining room. As soon as I looked through the doorway, I saw her. She was being smothered by a hug from her parents, but I could tell clear as day that it was her.
I quietly watched as my mom and dad greeted her and it was great to see that they still had a good relationship with her. We grew up together and we were like extended family to each other, and I know how much my parents loved Y/n. I smiled to myself at their interaction and that fate had brought us back together tonight.
After they had all had their reunion, I started to walk into the hallway to join them when Y/n's eyes snapped to mine. I could see the happiness in her eyes disappear and be replaced with hurt. I couldn't get any words out and before I knew it she was walking away. My brain was yelling at me to call after her, but I just stood there watching as she walked up the stairs.
"I should go. I don't want to stop you spending time with Y/n." I said, feeling my heart shatter at the thought that she can't even be in the same room as me. Mary reached over to take my hand and shook her head. "Don't be silly. You're staying. She's just shocked to see you." I still wasn't sure but her dad gave me a reassuring smile so I turned back towards the dining room.
I couldn't take my eyes off the doorway, all I wanted was for her to join us, but I knew she wouldn't. Maybe I should go and see her. Seeing her again made me realise that I'm still in love with her. I'm the one that needs to apologise, I need to make the first move. "Why don't you go up sweetheart?" I heard Mary say. I looked up and was giving me a sympathetic smile.
I stood up and took a deep breath and made my way to her bedroom. The door was slightly opened and as I knocked it opened further to reveal Y/n. She had just taken her shirt off and was stood in a sports bra. Her torso was covered in dark bruising. With no control over my body, I had rushed over to her and placed my hands on her back. "Oh my god Y/n. What happened?" I asked full of concern. She quickly pulled away from me and her face was full of anger.
"What do you want Scarlett?" She asked harshly, ignoring my question. "I uh, I want to talk." I stuttered, still not able to take my eyes away from her injuries. She laughed and pulled away from me. She was still shirtless, and I found my eyes admiring her body. She was in incredible shape. The Army was doing great for her. "Talk? Well so did I, 5 years ago." She said and the anger in her voice made my heart clench. "Please I just want to apologise. How I acted was cowardly and I should have come home to talk to you. I was scared." I tried to explain but she just scoffed.
I watched as she ran her hands through her hair, starting to pace. "Why now? We're both completely different people now. What benefit is there to either of us to have this conversation." Her words were cutting and there was a part of me that was terrified that I would never be able to fix this. "Because I still lov..." "Don't you dare finish that sentence." She spun around on the spot interrupting me with a look of anger. "I loved you with all I had. I gave you everything and put you first time and time again. Yet I clearly meant nothing to you as you could so easily just forget about me." She said, tears starting to fall.
"But I did love you. I still do! It was the biggest mistake I've ever made. I never forgot about you. I tried but I couldn't." I tried to explain but I could tell she wasn't having any of it. "Tell me this Scarlett. If I hadn't seen you tonight, would you have contacted me?" She has stopped pacing now and had stopped right in front of me, her hands on her hips. Words weren't coming out of my mouth and I was cursing at myself for it. "That's what I thought." She said grabbing her towel and shutting herself in the bathroom.
I felt tears falling down my cheeks, my heart breaking. I didn't have the right to feel like this. I was the one that broke her heart. I made my way back downstairs and rejoined our parents. They all gave me a sympathetic look. "Give her time. She never stopped loving you. She's just hurt and protecting herself." Her dad offered which surprised me. I hurt their daughter. I would have thought they wouldn't want me anywhere near her. I gave him a small smile of gratitude and we carried on the dinner.
Over the last week I had tried to see Y/n as often as I could but each time, she would push me away. I knew that if I wanted to mend what I broke, I had to show her what she meant to me. I was making my way over to her parents' house, but my heart sank when I saw Y/n in the doorway in uniform and her bag in hand. Her mom was crying, and her dad had her in a tight embrace.
I ran up their footpath wanting to know where she was going. "Are you leaving?" I asked and she turned around and I could see that she had been crying. "Yeah, my leave is over. I've got to head back." She said and it was the first time she's spoken to me willingly. "To Afghanistan?" I ask and she nods. Not giving her time to react, I pull her into a hug and try to hide the fact that I was crying. "Stay safe." Was all that I could get out and I was shocked when she returned the hug.
Once I released her, she grabbed her bag and turned to give her parents one last hug. "I'll see you in 3 months." She said and started to make her way down the path. The three of us watched her leave and I felt a hand on my shoulder. "She'll come home." Henry said, but I think he was trying to convince himself as much as me.
It had been 2 months since Y/n had gone. I had been writing to her three or four times a week, after getting the address from my mom. I had a couple of short replies from her, which was more than I had expected. Maybe she was starting to warm up to me more. I couldn't wait for her to come home as I had a whole plan to win her back. I knew Y/n better than most people. Yes it may be 5 years and she's changed but I know there are some things that will never change. So, I was going to use all of that knowledge to win her back over.
I was working on some emails when I heard a knock at the door. I got up and was greeted by my mom at the door, but I quickly noticed that her eyes were red and puffy. "Mom, what's wrong? Is dad ok?" I asked panicked as I guided her into the living room. She shook her head and took a deep breath. "It's Y/n." She whispered and, in that moment, I felt my heart tear in two. "I just had a call from Henry. Y/n's unit came under attack, she got hurt and they couldn't get to her. They had to retreat without her. She's been declared missing in action, presumed dead." Her words were like knives to my already wounded heart.
I dropped to my knees and let out a cry. My mom knelt next to me and pulled me into a hug. We both cried together. "But they haven't found a body, so she could still be alive." I said trying to grasp on to any hope. "Sweetheart, her injuries were severe. They said the likelihood of her surviving was extremely small." My mom sobbed.  I can't believe, the woman that I love is dead. I never should have left her all those years ago. Maybe she wouldn't have joined the army if we were still together. She'd still be alive, and we'd be together like we were meant to me.
As my sobbing got louder, my mom held me closer. "It's ok sweetheart. We'll get through this together." She said through her own tears. "It won't be ok. I've lost her forever. It's all my fault! I was such a selfish asshole and it's cost me the love of my life." My mom and I held each other, mourning the loss of someone so important in both of our lives.
She died a hero, saving the lives of her men by ordering the retreat whilst she was injured knowing she wouldn't make it. I wouldn't have expected anything less from her. She always put other people first. In this instant it cost her her life. I should have put her first like she had always done to me. I should have never let a day go by where she didn't know how much I loved her. But instead, I'm sat here mourning the loss of the one person I can't live my life without. I was just too late to realise it.
Scarlett Johansson x Fem!Reader
This is the last part of ‘Dear Scarlett…’ It took a while, but it’s finally finished. I’m not great at writing endings at all, but I hope the one I wrote wasn’t too bad.
I’m in my feels and felt like writing some angst.
Warning: tiny mention of suicide
Let me know what you think!
If you’ve liked what I’ve put out so far, think about supporting me and my work. Link is in my pinned masterpost.
———
“Oh my god.” Scarlett broke down, crying. So many thoughts are running through her head. Guilt, something she felt for the first time towards you.
She looks back at Arlo, sleeping peacefully in his carrier. “Arlo Prince.” She whispered to herself. “You have your Mommy’s eyes.” Tears stream down her face.
She goes to the bag, looking through all the folders. She sees so many picture of the two of you. She sees the CD’s. One in particular had ‘Arlo’s Birth’ written on it.
“Colin, can you grab my laptop.” It wasn’t a question, he complies. She puts the CD in, a video plays.
“Alright, Mommy, are you ready to see your little boy.” She hears someone say, not recognizing the voice. You say a small ‘yeah’ looking on the verge of tears. “Time to push.”
There’s a cut in the video, the next thing Scarlett sees is you crying from relief and exhaustion and the wails of a baby.
“Here you go Mommy. A very healthy baby boy.” A nurse puts the baby on your chest. “Do you have a name for him?”
It’s silent for a while.
“Arlo. Arlo Prince Johansson.”
“Johansson? Like the actress?”
You hesitate. “Yeah.”
“Are you her secret wife or something and she couldn’t be seen with you?” The nurse jokes. Scarlett sees your jaw clench.
“That would be crazy.”
The video ends. She quickly puts on another disk. Another video plays, this one she sees that Arlo is about two months old.
“It’s currently ten in the morning and mister Arlo Prince is having some tummy time.” The camera flips over to show your face. “I feel like he’s growing up so fast. You gotta stop growing so fast for Mommy. Oh, Mommy is gonna miss my little boy so much.”
Tearing her eyes away from the laptop, she grabs another disk and plays it.
“Arlo is currently still asleep, but I am letting him sleep in because today is a very special day. It is his first birthday and as you can see in front of me, I am going to be baking him a cake. It’s currently three in the morning, the oven is preheating, and I am trying ti be as quiet as possible.”
*skip a couple of minutes*
“The cake is now in the oven. I put a timer on my phone so the oven won’t be beeping and waking my baby up. Uh, what else can I say. Well, this is the only time that I’ll get to celebrate little Arlo’s birthday so I am going all out. I’m not as strong as I used to be so it’s been difficult, but you know? I gotta push through. I’m the only one he has right now, but hopefully if you’re watching this, Scarlett, then he’s with you right now. Give him some memorable birthdays because he won’t remember this one.”
Closing the laptop, Scarlett takes some time to catch her breath, wiping all her tears with the sleeve of her jacket.
Shuffling through all the different disks, she comes across one with ‘Goodbye’ written on it. Taking the disk out of the casing, she inserts it into her laptop.
Your face is shown on the screen, the same as the other videos, but this one looks different. You skin was paler and far more skinnier.
“Hey. Um, this video would be my shortest one and also my last one. Anne, over there…” You said, turning the camera around to said person, then back to yourself. “… is helping pack all of Arlo’s clothes and toys and things. Well more like she’s doing all the packing while I’m stuck in this chair finishing up all the paperwork.” You put the camera down somewhere that’s pointed at you so you can film hands free. “This is all to make sure that it’s clear I want you to have full custody and if you don’t accept then he would go into the system, which I really hope you accept. I’m putting all the CD’s and paperwork into a bag together you’ll find it all there.”
You cut yourself off with a hard cough, making Scarlett wince from how painful it sounds.
“Now these ones are for me. These are for my assisted suicide. Everything has just been so difficult. I get tired very easily and I can’t do it anymore. I can’t even take care of Arlo anymore. And I’m done suffering.
So, uhm, this is my very last video. I don’t even know what more I could say. I have nothing else to say, just questions to answers I’d never get the answer to.
Do you ever think about what our life would be if we worked out? If you didn’t fall out of love with me? ‘Cause I do. All the time. I’ve always wondered if there was anything I could’ve done differently to make you stay. To prevent you from drifting away. But I guess that’s life. People grow apart. Just hoped that that wouldn’t have happened to us y’know, but what can I do?
I’ve followed and kept up with your life, no matter how stalker-ish that sounds, and I’m just glad to see how happy and content you’ve been, you are. Just keep living how you’re living, you’ll just have an extra person added.”
She sees you look somewhere off camera.
“I’ve gotta feed our son now. Uh, well. I guess this is goodbye. I don’t know If i’ll pick this camera again by the time of my the, uh, time comes.
Take care of our boy. I know you will. I’ve always known how great of a mom you’d be. Make sure he doesn’t forget me and how much I love him. That’s my only wish, my last one.
I love you Scarlett. I always will. I always said that I’d love you until the end of time and, well, my time’s ended.
Goodbye, darling.”
Closing the laptop, Scarlett picks Arlo up from his carrier.
“Hey Arlo, I’m your Mama.” She cradles hun to her chest, holding him close. “Mommy’s gone away for a long while, but I promise to make sure you never forget her.”
Arlo lets out a small cry.
“Mommy loves you. She loves us so much.”
