Connor

very comforting hugs, just tight enough and fully wraps his arms around your back and buries his face in your shoulder or hair, depending on your height difference

will also rest a hand on the back of your head and hold you closer that way

sways with you a little if it lingers long enough

also gives a tight squeeze before pulling away

Markus

comfortably tight hugs, wraps his arms around your upper back and buries his face in your shoulder if he can

otherwise he'll rest his cheek against the top of your head

lingers for a bit and also does a little swaying, pats your shoulder when you pull away

Kara

gentle hugs, but keeps you close. wraps one arm around your upper back and the other rests a hand on your head.

she'll rub your back very comfortingly and will stay for as long as you need, doesn't pull away until you do

will lean her head against yours, maybe pet your hair if you allow it as well

Hank Anderson

tight bear hugs, but not uncomfortably tight, pats you on the back a little too hard though

sways a little bit and gives you a tight squeeze before pulling away, then ruffles your hair or pats you on the shoulder afterwards

he's not very keen on touchy stuff though so don't expect it to be easy to get one, or that he'd be up for it often. if he's less in the mood then he'll just give a quick side hug without much care. might rub your arm a little bit though if he feels bad for being grouchy when you need/want a hug

Gavin Reed

he will never admit it but he fucking loves hugs. it'll be SO hard to get him to hug you, and if you try he'll most likely shove you away

when he comes around, though, he'll absolutely act like he doesn't care and doesn't put much effort into it

but if you hold him for a minute, he'll eventually melt into it, wrapping his arms around your back and leaning into it, burying his face in your shoulder mutters a "shut up" before you even say anything because he knows what you're thinking

if you're a lot closer to him though, he'll happily hug you and will be playful with it, hugs you really tight and squeezes the air outta you before laughing about it, ruffles your hair afterwards or rubs your arm

Nines (RK900)

not familiar with any sort of affection so he's very confused when you hug him, but he'll reciprocate, just in a very... stiff manner

rests his hands against your back but doesn't really lean in or actually hug, it's more like him just copying what he thinks a hug is

once he learns a bit more and successfully gets rid of that stiff, robotic feeling (because he just did research in his head and tried to copy it, but you can't exactly fake the feelings put into a hug), his hugs feel a lot... warmer. comfortable

he leans into it more and hold you closer, but doesn't exactly give very tight hugs. he'll also close his eyes and lean his head against yours/your shoulder

give him a minute and all the tension from his shoulders will fade, and he'll really relax into it, maybe wrapping his arms around you a little tighter

North

not a touchy person at all, probably wouldn't accept a hug in the first place

if you do hug her, it's probably awkward and she'll just hover her arms until you eventually get off her

she's only affectionate at all to those she feels like she's bonded super well with, so if you're very close with her, she'll be more likely to hug you

and in that situation, she gives side hugs and probably gives you a noogie. still not exactly comfortable enough for a full hug

Simon

very gentle hugs, holds you close and nuzzles against you

wraps his arms completely around your upper back and leans in a good bit, gives you a tight squeeze for a moment or a quick rub on your back

simon ily but I have absolutely nothing else, my memory of the side characters gets kinda fuzzy 😔

Luther

very careful hugs, tries his best not to squish you because he knows he's bigger and stronger, but the hugs still feel comfortably tight, very warm

crouches or kneels down if he feels like getting more onto your level, will put a hand on the back of your head and rest his on your shoulder

Alice

gets on her tippy toes even if you're crouched down and wraps her arms around your neck, resting her head against your shoulder

hugs you so tight!! does little excited hops if she's feeling especially happy/energetic

gives you a tight squeeze before pulling away

if she's more calm or tired, she'll just rest against you for a little while and sways with you a bit. makes her a little sleepy too

Just more headcanon about Gavin and sibling!Reader but this time is a disaster

Part 1

A/N: I don't normally post my headcanons but now Gavin and Reader live in my head rent free and i need to talk about it, soooo let's go.

Warnings: Child loss (I mention Cole), Parent death and mild mention of canon violence. GN!Reader

Terrible English because it's not my first language.

•Ok, first of all: Mama Reed is a russian immigrant bc i said so

•She moved to Detroit with her parents when she was 14/15 yo, circa mid 90's

•She remain pregnant of Gavin fairly young, in the 2002. Gavin's father was not in the picture, so she become a single mother (and originally Gavin had her last name. But we will return to this point later)

•For the next 7/8 years that she was alone with Gavin, she changed several jobs, until she officially became a secretary in the DPD

•Nice job, fixed hours and decent salary. And starting work at the DPD meant she no longer had to ask her parents for help looking after Gavin (they didn't mind at all, and Gavin enjoy is time with his grandparents. He also learn speak russian from them. But mama Reed is a proud woman, and she doesn't like ask for help)

Basically it is during her time as a secretary that she meets Papa Reed. And consequently Hank, since the two were best friends and partners at the time

•So it ended up that after a couple of years of dating Mama and Papa Reed got married. Gavin is a big mama boy so it's took a long time for him to warm up to the idea of not being alone with his mother anymore. After some time he accepted it, and was officially adopted by his stepfather and changing his last name to "Reed"

•Plus Uncle Hank entered the picture

•Gavin as a child adored Hank. His relationship with his stepfather always remained cordial but detached, but that wasn't the case with Uncle Hank.

Hank becomes Gavin's role model quite quickly

•Anyway didn't take long before Mama Reed got pregnant again, and Gavin was absolutely thrilled to be a big brother

•Now, I'm a firm believer that Gavin and Reader are around 11 years apart So imagine preteen!Gavin holding baby!reader for the first time

•Think about Gavin and baby!Reader watching cartoons together

•Or Gavin in his emo days playing hide and seek with toddler!Reader

•Or Gavin who spends his time teaching Russian to Reader

•Reader pretty much becomes Gavin's favorite person, and he have the biggest soft spot for them. Throughout Reader's childhood and adolescence, Gavin did his best to be the best role model he could be.

•Gavin basically invented the trope "Asshole to anyone but you" platonic version

•He keep the whole "Asshole to anyone but you" attitude throughout high school.

And during his time in the police academy.

Even after officially becoming a police officer.

•Many cops and detectives already knew Gavin becouse his parents and Hank, so it wasn't a huge surprise when they first encountered him. They were mentally prepared for his sarcastic responses and general behavior

What they weren't ready for was the way he changed his attitude with Reader. Imagine the DPD's shock the first time they saw Detective Gavin Reed not verbally bullying someone

•After Reader also joined the police force, many breathed a sigh of relief convinced that Gavin would finally calm down and stop being a massive jerk with his younger sibling constantly around the department . They were wrong. Their colleagues soon discovered that it's not particularly nice to work with a constantly worried and overprotective Gavin.

•The situation worsened significantly after Reader's promotion to detective, and Hank's assignment as his partner.

After Cole's death, the relationship between the Reed siblings and Hank became particularly strained, reaching breaking point for Gavin with the death on service of Papa Reed. Gavin had spent his entire childhood and adolescence idolizing Hank, and relied on him for his stepfather's safeguard. Now for Gav, his "uncle" is no longer someone he can trust and rely on, so at the prospect of Reader working with Hank he doesn't feel comfortable

•To be fair, even Hank didn't like the idea of working with Reader, and he spent the first two months complaining to Fowler about it

•The last straw for Gavin however was Connor's entrance. He can almost stand Hank and Reader being partners, but can't stand the talking Tincan. Gavin doesn't like androids, but he especially doesn't like them around his family

•I think Reader is well aware of Gavin's issues with androids, and to some extent always trying to understand their brother, but during November 2038 Reader literally say "fuck it". They have investigations to conduct, and Gavin won't be the one to undermine them with his issues with Connor.

Reader has taken a firm stand since then, and isn't interested in Gavin's opinion on this matter. This leads to many problems between the Reed siblings, and the eldest easily puts all the blame on Connor. He probably knows deep down that it's not the android's fault, but at the moment he is to bitter to accept that perhaps this time he is wrong

•Basically the whole scene in the evidence room between Connor and Gavin in the mission "Last Chance, Connor", is because Gavin rather than choosing a little introspection chooses to pour all his frustration on Connor And he ends up getting beaten too

•By The way after the android revolution the situation between Reader and Gavin calms down and finally they start talking like normal people again, instead of seeing who of the two can scream more

•Gavin still has trouble seeing Hank and Connor around Reader, but decides to give them the benefit of the doubt for once

"So…you really don't come from the Wilds?"

TK forces a smile for what feels like the millionth time tonight. Around him, the town orchestra swells its sound, and men and women dance joyously across the ballroom. He'd prefer to be on the floor with the rest of them, most likely making a fool out of himself, rather than stay here and dodge question after question.

"I'm afraid not," he says.

"You're sure?" the woman, some special guest of the clergy, pushes. She has on a ridiculously large hat with the bright tail feather of some exotic bird sticking out.

"I believe one would know if one spent their childhood in a completely different realm." Carlos appears at his side, and TK's knees could buckle then and there in relief. He nods at the woman. "Lady Veronica," he says cordially.

She smiles, and it's all teeth. "Is that you, Sir Reyes? Oh, how long it's been."

"Yes, it has," he replies. He takes another step between her and TK, redirecting their conversation. "I see that you've been well."

"Your father simply goes on and on about you, you know? We're all so very happy for your opportunity to go on this little…" She looks him up and down, almost like a predator in disgust of its emaciated prey, "…excursion."

"Speaking of my father, he's been looking for you. He needs to discuss some dates with you and your husband." He's fully blocking her off from TK.

Thankfully, she seems delighted by the prospect of blabbing passive aggressively to the general, and it doesn't take much more coaxing to get her sauntering off. TK's shoulders fall. "I thought she'd never leave," he groans.

"Quite a character, isn't she?"

He smirks. "You two seem to have some history."

"She always suspected me of courting her son."

"And did you?" TK asks a little too quickly for someone trying to be as nonchalant as he is.

Carlos shrugs. "She never had any proof." He leans in and whispers, "and neither do you."

I'm okay with almost everything. I like both fluff and angst, both something cute and dark. If we are playing a romantic ship, I'd like it to not be ER.
