"VHS 'Screenshots' from Wakko's Springfield Score"

"Coming this Saturday, everyone famous daytime trio will get to meet up everyone's famous primetime family on April 1! Only on Fox!" proposed tagline.

These are recovered, totally not fake, screenshots from a lost crossover special of Animaniacs and Simpsons made circa 1996 before it was canceled mid production due to unknown production issues, and totally not by a bored artist who wanted to have another go at creating VHS screen captures. No, its not based on a crossover fanfic I never got around to writing.

Okay, maybe it is.

Here's some dialogue for each screenshot scene going top to bottom.

Not to be long winded with a lengthy explanation, the fanfic story basically would have been a AU crossover fic where Yakko and Wakko Warner are former street hustlers turned detectives who run into Clancy Wiggum, a private investigator. (loosely based on that one shot Simpsons episode where he goes by Wiggum PI)

Wakko wants to team up with him, but he's turned down when it's considered to be too dangerous. What followed would be a series of hijinks as Wakko proved his worth as a detective; Krusty the comedian being framed for a serious crime, Inspector Scratchensniff on the hunt for the Wanrer Brothers and the missing Warner sister, all of it tied with together with some involvement with the Springfield Mafia.

So yeah, a simplish plot. Maybe if I ever get into writing fanfics again, I might actually write the whole story.

1)Wiggum PI: "Sorry Rover, I already got a partner, this city's too dangerous for a cat, dog...what are you two again?"

Yakko Warner: "Look, PI we barely know on our own show, that's not changing here"

2)Krusty: "Hey, Why the hell should I trust you? You're the reason I'm this mess in the first place!"

Wakko: "Cause I'm the only one who can clear your name!"

3)Skinny Boy: "We got to find those three deformed children before Fat Tony and his goons do! There's no telling what will happen when he gets a hold of them!"

Inspector Scratchensniff: "He's not the one we need to be worried about!"

4) Yakko, Wakko, and Dot "Heeelllo Tony!" (group kiss)

Fat Tony: "This meeting was a mistake..."

Photos from my trip to Starrcast Downunder under the cut. (I also attended H.E.R and Australian Stampede but was too in the moment to take photos of the shows.)

In order: Victoria/Tara/Lisa Marie Varon, Shelton Benjamin, Jordynne Grace, Chris Masters/Chris Adonis, Mickie James, Lizzie Evo (an up and coming British heel and a local woman’s tag team called Prima Pi Kappa (PPK), made up of Nikki Van Blair (the blonde) and Frankie B. They were all so kind.

I also got autographs but no photos with Vix Crow/Alicia Fox, Tenille Dashwood and Mike Rallis who were also very lovely. If I ever cross paths with them again, I’ll be getting photos for sure.

I was so nervous meeting everyone but they were all so kind and put me at ease, even making me laugh at some points.

I have watched Victoria and Shelton since I was 14 and wanted to meet them for almost just as long and it was every bit worth it. I even got a hug from Victoria. 😊 I could go on and on about these two but I won’t.

Jordynne Grace was only meant to be an autograph as the gold pass I had allowed me four ‘free’ autographs but when I went up the person helping her said I could also have a photo with her which was really sweet. She liked the koala I had on my bag and showed me one she was given. She was so sweet in person, I know I’m saying that about everyone but it’s true.

Chris Masters is a class act, even if I can’t sell the Masterlock to save my life. I feel like I should apologize to him for the shocking sell.

Mickie James put the whole H.E.R event together and my photo with her was the day after so I was able to tell her what an amazing show it was and she was so thankful about it. If you’re able to stream it, do so it’s worth it.

Lizzie Evo for playing a heel is so nice at the autograph’s table, it’s like night and day. I later found out she had a brief run in NXT UK which I thought was cool. From what I saw in her match, if shes not signed somewhere major soon, I’ll be shocked.

Prima Pi Kappa (PPK), Nikki Van Blair and Frankie B are so funny, both during their match and at the signing, I’m definitely going to do my best to keep up with what they do. (Hopefully they’ll eventually beat The Backslide Girls for the titles.)

Do you guys think that the butterfly miraculous was ever used by a “fairy godmother”?

Like, we know in canon that the Pied Piper of Hamelin was a fox holder, so was Cinderellas fairy godmother a butterfly holder?

Also, I personally think that the whole “Pied Piper” story was the fox holder and mouse holder playing a prank on the town

I love Pied Piper and I love his and Wally's friendship, but can we talk about Linda and Hartley's friendship please 🥺. There are obviously many more instances of them being besties but this set of panels lives rent free in my head so let's focus on this scene for now. Wally is missing and John Fox - an unknown to the present flashfam speedster from the future shows up instead. Linda offers him a place to stay, but also asks Hartley to move in as well. Part of why he is there is obviously because of their initial distrust of John which he doesn't really hide, but as John admits himself he is mostly there to support Linda and help her through this difficult period of time.

And the way he puts his hand on her shoulder while giving John a warning glare and makes a bad impression of Wally's oversized ego to make hear laugh. He loves his friends so much 🥹. He clearly makes Linda feel secure and safe while she needs it the most.

Piper used to be Linda's closest friend. And now with everything that is happening: the pregnancy, new powers and the usual superhero related mess she could really use someone trusted that she can talk to beside Wally. Someone who she has an actual personal connection with and not just Wally's friend that she happens to know. So I'm really hoping we can get Hartley back to fill that spot.
