Tails had his spacecraft built long before it was needed in season 3 of the Sonic X anime series. He's also eight year old and the most determined character in the franchise. He is also a workaholic when it comes to technology, often seen to be busy making something or upgrading something or fixing something. Aaaaand he had to shoot at his girlfriend, the bullet being his own brother, to save the galaxy in the finale. Poor kid was heartbroken.

Captain Blood was an Irish physician condemned to ten years of hard labour in the Caribbean for treating rebels who had been a part of Monmouth's Rebellion. He eventually escapes with a bunch of his fellow slaves and seizes a Spanish ship in the harbor, taking up the life of a very successful pirate.

Here's a costume in honor of Talk Like a Pirate Day! Okay, so Peter Blood is more of a privateer, and he doesn't really talk "like a pirate"--but he does have a cool costume. The rolled-up-shirtsleeves look is probably the most iconic one from this movie, but I do like the long coat. It looks comfortable, like a garment one could really live in and not just a costume. Also note the high boots with turned-down tops.

so I'm currently reading Captain Blood and he renamed his fucking ship after her-

Arabella should’ve apologised to Peter and Peter should have said that he can’t forgive her and that he knows she only wanted to be all friendly with him because she enjoyed the feeling power it gave her. He should’ve decided to take her back to Jamaica because he does care about her (and is in love with her) but he’s sure that she doesn’t love him, she only likes being in power, so he doesn’t want to stay with her lest his love for her gets the better of him and he allows her to take advantage of him for her own amusement as he believes she did before. She should swear to renounce her old life in Jamaica AND be willing to leave behind all her wealth and apologise to him for all she did and after seeing how devoted she is to him, then Peter should realise that she’s really sorry and that she does really love him. Perhaps by that point he’s already back in Jamaica with her as he planned to drop her off and the story progresses from there. This only goes for the film, of course, since I’ve committed of the awful sin of watching the film without reading the book.

Tumblr really disappoints me... Captain Blood is one of my favorite books and there is but one piece of fan art I could find, and little discussion besides the movie.

I guess based on the type of character that Tumblr seems to like, I thought Peter Blood would be more famous...
