lance telling keith that the team should get matching tattoos just because and keith pointing out that shiro adores his grandmother who abhors tattoos and would never do smth to disappoint her. lance agreeing and bringing up that even tho pidge is always down for mayhem and rebellion, she would never do anything to disappoint her parents. team tattoos are out the window. lance jokes that they should just get matching tattoos. keith (whipped and impulsive) immediately agreeing and them bouncing ideas back and forth. they settle on swords and guns (samurai and sharpshooter. duh.)

lance’s is keith’s bayard sword and luxite sword crossing, representing both his human and galran sides, can be seen as violent/a fight since all keith has done is fight to get where he is and because that’s WHO he is. he’s a fighter.

keith’s is lance’s sniper rifle wrapped in flowers because while keith is the fighter, lance has always been the lover. he wears his heart on his sleeve and loves so strongly. he is a beautiful person, inside and out. a beautiful soul if you will.

"Why does autism seem more common in males?

Being female does appear to protect the brain from many developmental disabilities, not just autism. There is emerging evidence that girls with autism need more extreme genetic mutations than boys to develop autism.

However, there is a growing body of work that indicates that autism just presents differently in girls and therefore often goes unrecognised, especially in verbally fluent girls with normal intelligence. Girls with autism also appear to be better at ‘camouflaging’ their symptoms in order to fit in.

With the diagnostic criteria for ASD based largely in how autism presents in males, girls can often ‘slip under the radar’ or get misdiagnosed. Girls with ASD seem to have less restricted and repetitive behaviours than boys, but it’s also possible that some of these behaviours go unrecognised — for example, an obsessive interest in collecting dolls may be misinterpreted as pretend play.

What does autism look like in girls?

Although every child with autism is different, here are some common characteristics in girls with autism:

A special interest in animals, music, art, and literature

A strong imagination (might escape into the worlds of nature or fiction)

A desire to arrange and organise objects

Not wanting to play cooperatively with female peers (for example, wanting to dictate the rules of play or preferring to play alone to maintain control)

A tendency to ‘mimic’ others in social situations in order to blend in

An ability to hold their emotions in check at school, but be prone to meltdowns or explosive behaviour at home

Strong sensory sensitivities, especially to sounds and touch (for example; clothing tags, socks or even deodorant).

For autistic girls to thrive, it’s important they have access to a timely and accurate diagnosis, and the informed supports that come with it. A delayed or missed diagnosis can impede their education and development, as well as their social and community participation.

While boys with autism are more likely to have outwardly challenging behaviours, (indicating underlying issues, such as anxiety) girls with autism are more vulnerable to internalising problems.

As our understanding of how autism affects females is still emerging, it is important parents and professionals alike stay updated on the best ways to specifically support girls and women on the spectrum."

I 100% think rockstar!joel would start the tradition of sending flowers/treats to Sarah’s school on her last day/big days because her birthday is in July but once Ellie comes around, he does it for her birthday and he just continues to tradition with Sam and the girls and the Issac and JJ and I just imagine a little baby Sam walking around school with a bouquet of flowers bigger than him and when the teachers ask him about it he goes “my daddy sent them to me!!!” And he’s just ecstatic

thinkin' about a dying person willingly offering their memories to ahri to hold onto them as a keepsake ... to not let their life and experiences and memories be forgotten to time. i think she'd use her limited painting skills to draw the simplest but prettiest renditions of their time on runeterra ... i think it'd just mean so much to her, as a creature who once devoured these memories meaninglessly; only serving to fill her belly. as she's grown, ahri has come to appreciate all the facets of life, including human life, and the beauty written in the short, short span of their lives. of course, she doesn't care for just any and all memories ... most are shuffled into the catalogues of her mind, mixed within a thousand other memories she can hardly parse as her own or not any longer, but when a human can truly reach her heart, she does try to honor their memory.
