Kote-Ah Kenobi is the son of Obi-Wan Kenobi and Clone Commander Cody.
This is from my Alternate Universe called the ‘Kenobi Family AU’, which I’ll explain now (warning: plot dump):
During the Clone Wars Cody and Obi-Wan start to get close
First it starts as them starting to admire and trust each other in battle and appreciate the other’s leadership skills, etc.
Then it turns into a good friendship and camaraderie, they talk openly with each other on and off the battle field. They feel comfortable enough to snark and joke with eachother
They more and more seek comfort in each other outside of work and battle
Soon their friendship turns into more, emotionally
This leads to both of them hiding complicated romantic feeling for each other
Obi-Wan has strick moral codes with being a Jedi and having no deep attachments, he desperately wants to be a good Jedi and leader. But he can’t help but love Cody
Cody deals with the social pressures of being a clone. Clones aren’t supposed to have deep emotions, to want things, to have personalities. He’s not aloud to feel anyway for anyone, let alone his General. He’s not considered a person to many, just a tool
(Skipping over much time and details) Eventually they confess to each other
They come to a sort of agreement, they care too much about each other to not be together, but they both have duties to others and agree to always put their jobs first
So they are in a secret relationship with the war as priority
But they both discuss getting ‘fully’ together after the war
Cody talks about fighting for freedom for the clones and getting to choose what they want (he wouldn’t have thought of this before getting with Obi-Wan, he didn’t even consider it a possibility for him or his brothers. But getting the chance to CHOOSE to be with Obi-Wan despite what the war demands gives Cody determination to give all clones a chance to choose what they want)
Obi-Wan wants to be with Cody, he says he’ll help Cody and his brothers in any way to get freedom. He starts to think how maybe Anakin is right about the Jedi rule against attachment being wrong (this may be a lil’ OCC for Obi-Wan but I like to think him loving Cody would make him reevaluate his morals and the Jedi rules)
(Obi-Wan even considers maybe leaving the order after the war to be with Cody, it isn’t the first time he thought about it or even actually left the order after all)
But alas, none of it is to be. Order 66 still happens
It plays out just like canon, and the clone chips are activated and Cody shoots Obi-Wan off the cliff and Obi-Wan flees
(This is where the BIG changes happen)
When Obi-Wan goes with Yoda to the Jedi Temple and sees the dead Younglings, they find Reva Sevander alive and rescue her
Yoda watches her while Obi-Wan confronts and fights Anakin
Afterwards Padmé still dies giving birth
This time though, Obi-Wan looks at Luke, Leia and Reva and just thinks ‘yeahs I’m taking all these kids’
He pretty much decides that since all three of these kids are force sensitive that they’ll need protection and training, he can hide them
Plus his time with Cody taught him the importance of bonds. he regrets telling Anakin to not have attachments and making him feel like he had to hide his and Padmé’s relationship. Maybe if Obi-Wan had been better about talking to Anakin, Anakin wouldn’t have been so afraid to lose Padmé and therefore turn Dark
So Obi-Wan ignores Yoda’s demands to spilt all the children up and just takes them all to a remote planet to raise them
(Reva takes Obi-Wan’s last name since he needs to present her as his adopted child and he lets Luke and Leia have their father’s last name (Skywalker) as memory to the man Anakin used to be (he tells everyone that Leia and Luke are the children of his brother))
Only a little time after settling on their new home and trying to raise two infants and handle a traumatized force sensitive child, Obi-Wan finds out he’s going to have Cody and his child (unplanned)
(It’s up to you to decide how they have a child idk, force magic or weird alien biology who cares)
So 9 months later Obi-Wan now has ANOTHER child (Kote-Ah), this one from his lover who turned on him and who he doesn’t even know if he’s alive (I can’t decide if Obi-Wan DOESN’T know about the chips in the clones and thinks Cody legitimately betrayed him, or if he DOES know about the chips and is just wallowing in the knowledge that Cody and all the clones have had their agency taken away and will be forced to work for the Empire or be killed)
(Either way he can’t risk finding Cody, he has to protect his kids)
Thus Obi-Wan Kenobi ends up with four kids (all who are force sensitive) (in hiding where he’s a wanted man and force sensitive children are killed on sight) (and Kote-Ah looks exactly like a clone so people are quite suspicious when they see him, and even more so when they notice how young he is and how his eyes aren’t amber/brown like all clones)
The AU from here is just Obi-Wan raising Reva, Luke, Leia, and Kote-Ah in secret
Obi-Wan continues Reva’s training and takes her as his Padawan when she’s of age, though it’s not a ‘formal padawan and master’ training because at that point Reva considers Obi-Wan her guardian/parental figure (not quite a father (Kote-Ah, Luke, and Leia call Obi-Wan ‘Dad’), but she does loves and treat him in a similar way to a child and parent)
When Leia, Luke, and Kote-Ah all get old enough he starts to train them, they need to be prepared for if (when) the Empire finds them
That’s the AU for now, there’s more from here but I already wrote a lot! I’ll probably do some more drawing one day and get into Kote-Ah’s personality and the family relationship of the ‘Kenobi Family’ and the plot from here on out.
Extras:
Reva helped a lot with raising the three younger kids
Having them around helped with her anger and trauma of seeing her crechemates killed (she holds no resentment towards Luke and Leia for being the children of the man who killed her crechemates)
Though this makes her very overprotective of Leia, Luke, and Kote-Ah
She’s desperate not to lose her new family
She’s always very mature for her age
All the siblings are very close, but Luke and Leia get along the best and Reva and Kote-Ah are also really close
They all are very close to Obi-Wan, who is very open and affectionate with them due to his regrets of not being as open and loving with Anakin (and his regrets that he never got to have an open and ‘true’ relationship with Cody before everything ended)
Obi-Wan tells many stories of Cody and the clones to Kote-Ah. Obi-Wan wants Kote-Ah to know about his other father and his family. Wants Kote-Ah to feel pride from his ‘heritage’ and not feel ashamed for looking like a clone
In this AU all four of the kids are trained in the Jedi ways and to fight, though way into the future only Reva and Luke take on the formal title of Jedi, Leia and Kote-Ah do not.

When You Weren’t Looking — pt. 1/?
PROFESSOR!OBI-WAN x READER
an au where you and you literature professor realize you both have things to learn about love, and yourselves, outside of class. (as we all know, this can only be done through a big scoop of angst and a smutty cherry on top) playlist
summary: you pretty much end up stealing anakin’s job
warnings: language maybe? mention of what i read in my horrific junior year
a/n: ok ok so some of you might be thinking that obi-wants being a little bitchy but padawan obi in tpm was kind of a stickler and i kind of wanted him to grow into rots obi (bc of y/n) he does have the rots hair tho (rip jedi mullet i still love you)
word count: 1,246 so pretty short for the beginning
Tumblr media
Your eyes were following him as he walked back and forth across the front of the small lecture hall. He was talking about troubadour poetry, or was at least supposed to be, but he ended up talking enthusiastically about his philosophies and fascination with medieval literature and their cultural ideals, etc.. His eyes were lit up and his arms making animated gestures in an almost boyish excitement. That’s why most people took this class (besides the small fact that he was one of the more attractive professors). He always clearly and concisely explained the subject in the beginning, probably because he knew he had to get it all in before he fell into his usual habit of sharing his love of literature. Even if you didn’t care about the same things, it was mesmerizing the way he put all of it, and his passion made it so it was never boring. He somehow made it all sound like a story and you were the children gathered around his campfire.
Many other students also secretly enjoyed what happened to be one of your favorite parts of the class: taking note of the way his sleeves always got rolled up when he decided to write on the board or the way he would rub the back of his neck when he was thinking, unintentionally baring his biceps. Sometimes you felt as though you should feel guilty, but you weren’t being demeaning or anything, in fact, you were admiring him.
If he didn’t want you to gaze he shouldn’t have been so handsome.
But no, this time you were staring because he was the one who gave you a 62% on your last essay. You still had a good enough grade to pass, but if you wanted to transfer to your dream school, you would have to look pretty damn good on paper. It was an art school, but a very prestigious one that wanted to see if you were going to work hard, even in your non-art-related classes. You had messed up a bit with your grades freshman year of college (missing out on many classes simply because you could), but that could be compensated for if you could show growth in the following years. That was going to take a lot of A’s if you were going to make up for your slacking off. You had worked hard on your essay, putting in the same effort that you had put into the ones that got handed back to you with 90% written on the top, and it’s not like he was the easiest grader you’ve had.
The lecture had ended, and the room echoed with heavy footsteps of students heading out, along with the comments that had been held in for the last hour. You instead stayed seated, running the dialogue you had prepared for starting a conversation with Professor Kenobi in your head one more time.
You rose from your seat, whispering “fuck it,” and headed down the stairs towards the lowest floor of the classroom.
“Professor?” you said in your most polite yet assertive voice.
“y/n is it? Is there anything I can do for you?” he responded, lifting his eyes to see you as he leaned over his desk to shuffle some papers.
“It is actually. But I was wondering if we could discuss my last essay,” You cleared your throat, trying not to show that his blue eyes of all things were making you nervous, “specifically my grade on it actually,” you added.
“Ah I see,” He folded his hands as he put down the now neat stack of papers and sat back down in his chair.
“You gave me a 62% and I’ve always gotten good grades in this class but I didn’t do anything different. I wouldn’t turn in anything that I didn’t feel was at least well written,”
“It was well written, but that’s not the point”
“I’m sorry professor, but how is that not the point?” you said, brows furrowing
“The way you write is beautiful but it’s what you’re writing about. You completely missed the prompt” He didn’t say it harshly, but rather as though it was a casual fact that he figured you already knew.
“How do the relationships in troubadour poems reflect personal and real-world relationships?” You repeated the prompt for clarity.
“Yes. You gave me a description of a dynamic based on false idealism, but there was nothing personal, nothing real to you. I could have read an article on the facts of those dynamics if I really wanted to, but this isn’t psychology class,”
“So it should have been personal?”
It may not be psychology class but it is an essay, not a diary.
He could see the confusion on your face was still present so he elaborated, “It should have meaning. I want this class to push you into reflection. We can’t just read other people's experiences without applying them to our own. What would be the point? I asked for something personal. You don’t have to address anything wildly uncomfortable, but I graded them based on if you could tell someone actually tried to discover something by the end of the essay,” you could admire his intentions, but it was just an essay to you.
“So I got this grade because I didn't do some soul searching,” you deadpanned, no longer confused, but more irked.
His brows raised at your forwardness. He didn’t seem offended, but rather surprised.
“If you truly are unhappy with your grade, I’ll allow you to redo the essay,”
Well, you could redo it and fluff it all up now that you knew what he wanted. At the end of the day, you would do whatever just to take anything higher.
“Thank you I—“
“But I can only raise it 10% because it is after the fact,”
“Professor really?” you said exasperated. You actually stood up straight after that comment, hoping you didn’t sound disrespectful or rude. Thankfully, his reaction, or lack thereof, was exactly what you were hoping for.
“Well, let’s see… there’s a lot of filing and other tasks that I need done, they’re all menial i’m afraid, but I’d be willing to give you extra credit for it,”
Your face turned into a more pleasant expression, and then a confused one once more.
“Don’t you have a TA for that?”
“Anakin? Oh yes, well he’s…he likes to do everything at his own leisure” he sighed but didn’t seem too down about it, more like he was used to it.
“So, may I ask, why’s he your TA?”
“It was a favor to a friend, Professor Qui Gonn Jinn. Please don’t mention it but Anakin's actually his godson. Although I’m British, I’m not a huge supporter of nepotism,- don’t worry,” he smiled. “It’s really because he believes he has a lot of potential, and I agree— but practically he’s not very helpful” you laughed a little at his comment and he had a slightly amused face as well.
There was a slight pause before you said, “I’d like to take you up on your offer,” nodding firmly.
“I’ll see you in my office after every class starting tomorrow? Does that work with your classes?”
“Yes,” you said after taking a moment to think about your schedule.
“Wonderful. I look forward to it,” he smiled, getting up and slinging his work bag over his shoulder.
Spending that much time with a professor? If I go bored out of my mind…

'Tis the Season: Holiday Special
Day 16 - Obi Wan Kenobi - what the holidays might look like with Obi Wan Kenobi. In another world and in another galaxy, you and Obi Wan spend the holidays reflecting and snuggling up in a cozy cabin. You love the simple life with him and the cabin is always beautiful when it's covered in snow. You enjoy watching him chop wood as you watch from the window and bake something delicious or read with your cat snuggled next to you. The two of you go on car rides in his truck and eventually find a spot to look up at the stars. On Christmas, you do a small gift exchange and watch Christmas movies.

Attempts at Waterbending 🌊

Finally I drew this comic strip for time-travel AU that was in my drafts for months.
So, Anakin wasn't able to take regular Jedi missions but after he was ready to participate in Jedi Temple life, he started to teach young Jedi math and engineering. But old habits die hard Anakin can be quite inventive with his trainings as we know.

Kenobi Family AU (as cats lol)
Left to right: *Cat-ified Reva (Sevander) Kenobi, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Kote-Ah Kenobi (OC), Luke Skywalker, and Leia (Organa) Skywalker
AU: Basically Obi-Wan and Cody are a secret couple (bcs I say so) and then order 66 plays out as normal, but instead when Obi-Wan and Yoda go to the Jedi temple to see the younglings massacred they find Reva hiding and alive (traumatized). So Yoda watches her while Obi-Wan goes to confront Anakin. So the fight with Anakin and Padme’s death all go the same. BUT INSTEAD, Obi-Wan looks at baby Luke and Leia and lil’ Reva he just goes ‘yeah I’m taking these children, they’re all obviously force sensitive they will need my help to be safe and prepared’. So he takes them all away into hiding as his adopted children. (Also Obi Wan has his and Cody’s (unplanned) son (Kote-Ah) after order 66 and getting Luke, Leia, and Reva) (How do they have a child? *Shrugs evasively and gestures vaguely at space magic and weird alien/space people biology*)
Kote-Ah is named after his Cody’s alternate name, Kote.
edit: apparently Cody’s name being butchered from the Mando’a word Kote (Glory), is from Fandom. So I’m just gonna incorporate that headcanon into this AU and pretend I definitely didn’t think it was canon up until now lol

When You Weren’t Looking — pt. 2/?
PROFESSOR!OBI-WAN KENOBI x READER
PART 1
an au where you and you literature professor realize you both have things to learn about love, and yourselves, outside of class. (as we all know, this can only be done through a big scoop of angst and a smutty cherry on top)
summary: you and obi-wan have begun to enjoy simply spending time together in his office
warnings: language maybe, tb to filler sentences i actually used in my essay rough drafts
a/n: not my fav but it’s little bit of a set-up for the next chapter which is when things get real interesting hehe. also i didn’t edit a lot sry :/ but if the spacing is weird it’s bc of tumblr not me lol
words: 1,342 once again a lil short
Tumblr media
It had been a couple of weeks since you’d begun to show up to Professor Kenobi’s office after every one of your classes with him. Your initial purpose for being there was just to file papers and organize things in his surprising very messy office. You had pegged your professor as someone who preferred for things to remain immaculate at all times, his beard always trimmed so neatly and his shirts always pressed to perfection. The more you thought about it though, the more it made sense.
It was a known fact, mainly due to his impromptu rants during class, that he loved what he taught. He breathed in knowledge and books, a true intellectual, and the articles scattered on every surface of his office were probably objects of comfort. The books, mugs drained of tea(many of which had horrendous puns), and various trinkets and collectibles such as labeled kyber crystals, all reflected his interests. He was familiar with his passions and it made his office safe and pleasant for him to be in.
While you still spent some of your time cleaning, most of your two hours with the professor ended up allowing you to rewrite your essay and finish assignments for other classes. He even let you grade some small homework assignments for him.
Anakin you’re out of a job
Professor Kenobi also felt that it was important to make sure you knew he was always there if you needed help. There was a sincerity to his offer that you appreciated. On occasion, he would even ask you for your opinion on something he had just read. The idea that he valued your opinions which could be considered amateur, flattered you immensely. These little here and their actions always spawned an engaging conversation—before he made you get back to work of course.
“fair enough,” you shrugged in response one time after he told you to start “dusting or…something” again. He let out a small breath of a laugh that made you feel warm.
Part of you felt like he always stopped the conversation when you had both begun to be truly invested in what the other was saying. That point usually came with neither of you finding the desire to break eye contact anymore. Sometimes you thought of his gaze for hours after you saw him, the gaze that you had committed to memory by now.
Your preferred spot in the office was a seat adjacent to his, a large oak desk in between you two. There was something about the way he leaned over that large oak desk though. He sat in a wooden swivel chair that presumably came with the table, to which he added a small back pillow. His glasses had slipped slightly down his nose, tie discarded in favor of unbuttoning the top of his collar. He looked exactly like the idea of a classic professor. You found something appealing about it. it didn’t project overt masculinity, and yet somehow it made him seem strong and whole, like he was made of the same polished oak. You couldn’t deny that noticing the maturity he wore was attractive.
Not to be a traitor to your generation, but the men your age weren’t men to you, not in a classic sense anyway. They were closer to your idea of boys, lacking the confidence and the thoughtfulness that showed in everything that your professor did.
You weren’t afraid to admit that it was a little bit hypocritical of you, seeing as how you weren’t exactly the most studious individual either. You didn’t think it was cocky to consider yourself smart, as did many of your teachers, but you were also pretty easily distracted and had to take a break from staring at your screen once you had begun to get too fidgety. Today you were pacing slowly around the room, the tips of your fingers reached out to glide along a surface or a book.
As long as I get my work done, which I always do
“I think you’ve done a few miles by now,” Professor Kenobi said. You could see the small upward tilt of his lips.
“I can't walk in here?” you asked playfully.
“Please, by all means, do what you like, but I can't help but ask, well, aren’t you tired of it by now?” He had turned to face you by now.
“busy thinking I guess,” your mind was in fact reeling at the moment.
“about?” he inquired.
“wouldn’t you like to know.” a teasing smirk on your face. You had grown bolder with each conversation you had with him. He had become more relaxed, easier to joke with. He had a dry and sarcastic humor. another thing you didn’t expect but found that it fit him.
“I would actually. I can never tell what you’re thinking, darling, but I’ve found it’s always something compelling,” That was a recent development. He had taken to calling you darling casually. You assumed it was just…British. They called each other “love” all the time in movies. He could call any woman darling, it was just an endearing term. Still, it made you feel special like you weren’t just another student, and you couldn’t deny that it always caused you to look at the floor in case the heat you felt was in fact a blush. But, that train of thought, of any…attraction, was a dead end you wanted to avoid, and yet you always failed to do so.
“Was that a compliment from the Professor Kenobi?” you pressed your hand to your chest in an exaggeratingly flattered expression.
“If you’d like it to be,” there was a tiny glint in his eye that you would’ve missed if you weren’t already studying how blue they were.
“Well then thank you, Professor,” you added a subtle tilt in your voice when you addressed him. you would never intentionally flirt with him, but it slipped out in such a way.
His cheeks had a fresh tinge of pink and he shifted slightly in his chair before clearing his throat.
“I do have another compliment for you though,”
“Oh I like this,” you laughed lightly.
“I’m already regretting this,” he jokingly rolled his eyes.
“Aww,” you responded in false disappointment.
“But y/n, in all earnest, you’ve made immense progress, and I’m very proud,” he smiled at you with such softness.
You smiled, filled with pride by the praise that had come from someone who you admired. That smile quickly dropped when you realized, how could he have read your essay? You had shown him some of it but that was at the very beginning when you had barely changed much.
“How could you know?”
“You do know I have access to your document since you already submitted it before don’t you?” Your eyes widened in horror as you thought about the very thing he started to mention.
“I do enjoy the filler sentences though,” he looked down at his laptop, presumably at your essay. He cleared his throat. “blah blah insert bullshit or quote later—“
“Oh my maker! That’s a total invasion of privacy!” You ran around to his side of the desk to look at what part of your essay he was on. You only realized few moments later that he had turned his head towards you as you leaned over his shoulder. His face was so close to yours, and his lashes so long that you swore they could brush up against your skin if you leaned in a bit further. Neither of you moved for a moment until… whatever that interaction was… was cut short by a buzz coming from his phone. He hesitated to turn away from you for a second before picking up his phone. saying hi to whoever was on the other end.
You noticed the clock behind him signaled that it was time for you to go. You gathered your things quietly and whispered a quick goodbye, to which he shot you a smile and a light wave. You returned the smile, and it stayed on your face as you walked out the door and all the way down the hall.
