*In which Buck and Eddie have a daughter*
Evelyn: I saw daddy kissing Santa Claus under the mistletoe last night. I’m gonna tell papa!
Chris: That WAS papa, Evie
Evelyn: No, it wasn’t. It was Santa Claus! He had the beard, the belly, and everything!
Chris: Well, that wasn’t the real Santa Claus. That was just papa dressed as Santa Claus
Evelyn, crying: Santa Claus isn’t real?
Chris: Santa Claus IS real. I’m just saying that that THAT Santa isn’t real. That was just papa.
Evelyn, crying more: There’s two Santa Claus?
Chris: Technically there are more than two. I mean every parent on this planet is Santa Claus
Evelyn, crying even more: So there is no Santa Claus?
Chris: There IS. There is a Santa Claus. Just not the way you think.
Evelyn, screaming and crying: THERE IS NO SANTA CLAUS! DADDY!
Chris, also crying: I’m sorry! There is a Santa Claus! Papa!
Buck: Should we… uh step in?
Eddie: No let’s just wait and see where this goes

Kote-Ah Kenobi is the son of Obi-Wan Kenobi and Clone Commander Cody.
This is from my Alternate Universe called the ‘Kenobi Family AU’, which I’ll explain now (warning: plot dump):
During the Clone Wars Cody and Obi-Wan start to get close
First it starts as them starting to admire and trust each other in battle and appreciate the other’s leadership skills, etc.
Then it turns into a good friendship and camaraderie, they talk openly with each other on and off the battle field. They feel comfortable enough to snark and joke with eachother
They more and more seek comfort in each other outside of work and battle
Soon their friendship turns into more, emotionally
This leads to both of them hiding complicated romantic feeling for each other
Obi-Wan has strick moral codes with being a Jedi and having no deep attachments, he desperately wants to be a good Jedi and leader. But he can’t help but love Cody
Cody deals with the social pressures of being a clone. Clones aren’t supposed to have deep emotions, to want things, to have personalities. He’s not aloud to feel anyway for anyone, let alone his General. He’s not considered a person to many, just a tool
(Skipping over much time and details) Eventually they confess to each other
They come to a sort of agreement, they care too much about each other to not be together, but they both have duties to others and agree to always put their jobs first
So they are in a secret relationship with the war as priority
But they both discuss getting ‘fully’ together after the war
Cody talks about fighting for freedom for the clones and getting to choose what they want (he wouldn’t have thought of this before getting with Obi-Wan, he didn’t even consider it a possibility for him or his brothers. But getting the chance to CHOOSE to be with Obi-Wan despite what the war demands gives Cody determination to give all clones a chance to choose what they want)
Obi-Wan wants to be with Cody, he says he’ll help Cody and his brothers in any way to get freedom. He starts to think how maybe Anakin is right about the Jedi rule against attachment being wrong (this may be a lil’ OCC for Obi-Wan but I like to think him loving Cody would make him reevaluate his morals and the Jedi rules)
(Obi-Wan even considers maybe leaving the order after the war to be with Cody, it isn’t the first time he thought about it or even actually left the order after all)
But alas, none of it is to be. Order 66 still happens
It plays out just like canon, and the clone chips are activated and Cody shoots Obi-Wan off the cliff and Obi-Wan flees
(This is where the BIG changes happen)
When Obi-Wan goes with Yoda to the Jedi Temple and sees the dead Younglings, they find Reva Sevander alive and rescue her
Yoda watches her while Obi-Wan confronts and fights Anakin
Afterwards Padmé still dies giving birth
This time though, Obi-Wan looks at Luke, Leia and Reva and just thinks ‘yeahs I’m taking all these kids’
He pretty much decides that since all three of these kids are force sensitive that they’ll need protection and training, he can hide them
Plus his time with Cody taught him the importance of bonds. he regrets telling Anakin to not have attachments and making him feel like he had to hide his and Padmé’s relationship. Maybe if Obi-Wan had been better about talking to Anakin, Anakin wouldn’t have been so afraid to lose Padmé and therefore turn Dark
So Obi-Wan ignores Yoda’s demands to spilt all the children up and just takes them all to a remote planet to raise them
(Reva takes Obi-Wan’s last name since he needs to present her as his adopted child and he lets Luke and Leia have their father’s last name (Skywalker) as memory to the man Anakin used to be (he tells everyone that Leia and Luke are the children of his brother))
Only a little time after settling on their new home and trying to raise two infants and handle a traumatized force sensitive child, Obi-Wan finds out he’s going to have Cody and his child (unplanned)
(It’s up to you to decide how they have a child idk, force magic or weird alien biology who cares)
So 9 months later Obi-Wan now has ANOTHER child (Kote-Ah), this one from his lover who turned on him and who he doesn’t even know if he’s alive (I can’t decide if Obi-Wan DOESN’T know about the chips in the clones and thinks Cody legitimately betrayed him, or if he DOES know about the chips and is just wallowing in the knowledge that Cody and all the clones have had their agency taken away and will be forced to work for the Empire or be killed)
(Either way he can’t risk finding Cody, he has to protect his kids)
Thus Obi-Wan Kenobi ends up with four kids (all who are force sensitive) (in hiding where he’s a wanted man and force sensitive children are killed on sight) (and Kote-Ah looks exactly like a clone so people are quite suspicious when they see him, and even more so when they notice how young he is and how his eyes aren’t amber/brown like all clones)
The AU from here is just Obi-Wan raising Reva, Luke, Leia, and Kote-Ah in secret
Obi-Wan continues Reva’s training and takes her as his Padawan when she’s of age, though it’s not a ‘formal padawan and master’ training because at that point Reva considers Obi-Wan her guardian/parental figure (not quite a father (Kote-Ah, Luke, and Leia call Obi-Wan ‘Dad’), but she does loves and treat him in a similar way to a child and parent)
When Leia, Luke, and Kote-Ah all get old enough he starts to train them, they need to be prepared for if (when) the Empire finds them
That’s the AU for now, there’s more from here but I already wrote a lot! I’ll probably do some more drawing one day and get into Kote-Ah’s personality and the family relationship of the ‘Kenobi Family’ and the plot from here on out.
Extras:
Reva helped a lot with raising the three younger kids
Having them around helped with her anger and trauma of seeing her crechemates killed (she holds no resentment towards Luke and Leia for being the children of the man who killed her crechemates)
Though this makes her very overprotective of Leia, Luke, and Kote-Ah
She’s desperate not to lose her new family
She’s always very mature for her age
All the siblings are very close, but Luke and Leia get along the best and Reva and Kote-Ah are also really close
They all are very close to Obi-Wan, who is very open and affectionate with them due to his regrets of not being as open and loving with Anakin (and his regrets that he never got to have an open and ‘true’ relationship with Cody before everything ended)
Obi-Wan tells many stories of Cody and the clones to Kote-Ah. Obi-Wan wants Kote-Ah to know about his other father and his family. Wants Kote-Ah to feel pride from his ‘heritage’ and not feel ashamed for looking like a clone
In this AU all four of the kids are trained in the Jedi ways and to fight, though way into the future only Reva and Luke take on the formal title of Jedi, Leia and Kote-Ah do not.

Tumblr media
In truth, Lucy Gray was too young to be doing this. Halfway eighteen, with her heart broken by a man — a boy, really — who almost killed her. Ironically, the suspect of her current predicament was the same person. Oh how Lucy Gray hated it that he still haunted her now.
She had Lucy Gray’s tan skin, her baby girl. The wisps of her hair stuck against her forehead were bright blond. Lucy Gray wondered if her hair would darken eventually.
Annabel Rose Baird was a sickly baby. Her heart was weak and every night, Lucy Gray would have trouble sleeping, afraid that she’d wake up with a cradle gone cold. But she was a survivor, her Annie. Much like her mother. (And father.)
But they could not live on that alone. Lucy Gray, barely recovered from birth, wrapped her baby tight on her back with a sling and took their meager belongings in a bag, setting out to find the community up North Billy Taupe had once talked about. Lucy Gray walked for miles and miles, sometimes wishing she hadn’t left behind that lovely orange scarf her lover gave her. It would’ve made for a more comfortable sleep in their journey. She could’ve given it to Annie as her baby blanket, something to remember her childhood by — the one piece of her father she would ever know or keep. But alas, Lucy Gray had left it behind along with the broken pieces of trust she once thought she could rely on.
Lucy Gray found them eventually. Or rather, they found her. It was in the middle of the night and she’d just put Annie to sleep when flashes of light shone through the gaps between the trees. Cradling her whimpering baby close to her chest, Lucy Gray raised a hand in surrender, hoping that she was saying the right words for them to not shoot her.
They took them to their leader and gave them a small cabin. It was cozy and comfortable but it wasn’t home. Not when their leader, with his calculating eyes and access to Capitol broadcasts, look at her and her baby with such intense scrutiny. Lucy Gray’s paranoia increases every time he “accidentally” chances upon her with questions about the Capitol, about the Hunger Games, about Annie. He’s not as subtle as he thinks he is. Lucy Gray endures his questions, answering casually to alleviate the suspicion upon her. Her heart threatens to beat out of her chest every single time. She could only properly breathe again when she’s back within the four walls of their cabin, with Annie safe in her arms, her little puffs of breath warming Lucy Gray from the inside out.
The one saving grace of the place was Dr. Hartree. She was training under some big shot Capitol doctor when she fled, so she knew more than the District healers did despite the meager hospital equipment she had. She diagnosed Annabel Rose with something called moderate Ventricular Septal Defect; a heart disease she had since birth. Dr. Hartree let her listen to the whooshing sound of her Annie’s heartbeat through the stethoscope. Her baby’s got a hole in her heart. Lucy Gray wept.
Dr. Hartree said that the hole might yet repair itself, that she could look for some medicine that could help strengthen Annie’s heart muscles. But if it did not, Annie would need heart surgery which Dr. Hartree was neither qualified for nor equipped to do. In that scenario, going to the Capitol would be Annie’s best hope, said the doctor. The community’s leader approved Dr. Hartree’s request for getting the medicine. In exchange, Lucy Gray had to take on additional work on top of what she’d already been assigned with to earn her keep. Lucy Gray was both thankful and suspicious. She was no fool, a big favor like that didn’t come without heavier strings. But her baby was alive so Lucy Gray kept her head down. (For the moment, at least.)
Annabel Rose grew up a happy child. She was small for her age but her presence filled the room and her heart was so full of love. Whenever she smiled, a deep dimple showed on her cheek and her warm brown eyes would shine like stars in the night sky. Her baby never did grow out of her blond hair, riotous curls tumbling down her head. She looked like an angel; Lucy Gray’s own angel.
She was truly heaven sent. There were no words to describe how much her daughter made her happy, which was something, coming from a songwriter. Oft Lucy Gray wished the Covey had a chance to know her daughter. Annabel Rose fit in alright with the children of the community, but children can be cruel sometimes. Annie’s body was weak and she ran out of breath fast, making her unable to be included in strenuous physical activities. Lucy Gray was not deaf to the whispers of “runt” that surrounded her daughter, whispers that eventually reached Annie’s ears, causing her to come home tearfully, fisting her mother’s skirt and asking what it meant. Once upon a time, Lucy Gray would have been rearing for a fight but everything was different now. She didn’t have her Covey; her and Annie were alone.
Oh, people were nice enough but, like in District 12, they seemed to be able to sense an otherness in her and Annie that made them unable to accept them fully. It didn’t help that the community leader’s demeanor was like that either. The residents liked and respected him better than the strangers they barely knew anything about, so of course they’d follow his example.
Lucy Gray had been missing her Covey so much that she contemplated going back to District 12, back to her family, when she’d heard that an electric fence was put around it, complete with Peacekeepers patrolling the perimeter. They’d never bothered with that area before, but Lucy Gray had an inkling why they suddenly found it important.
So what else could she do but grit her teeth and bear it? Every night Lucy Gray would sing songs to Annie and tell her stories about the Covey, about her family and the colorful nights and laughter they shared. And Annie’s eyes would shine in the low lamplight, humming along to the tunes.
Lucy Gray did not bring her guitar with her during her journey out of District 12, but she was able to obtain a smaller version — a ukulele — from a traveling salesman. His initial offer nearly took all her saved up money to pay for, but she was able to haggle down to a more reasonable price. At 3-years-old, Annabel Rose learned the basic chords from her mother. The first song she learned was to the tune of Lucy Gray's namesake.
It tugged at Lucy Gray’s heartstrings to hear her Annie’s sweet voice in the warmth of their home. She resolved to write a song for her daughter’s fourth birthday as a gift. Lucy Gray had her song, and so did her Capitol boy. It was only apt that Annabel Rose had one too.
It was the night of Annabel Rose's fourth birthday when everything went wrong. Lucy Gray was humming underneath her breath to the tune of a new song, their tiny kitchen fragrant with the smell of a birthday cake she’d stolen half the ingredients for to bake. She lit up a deformed red candle she attempted to mold from whatever melted wax she could find, cupping the flame between her palms briefly to keep it from being blown out. With a satisfied sigh, she wiped her hands on her apron and walked to the bed to shake her daughter awake.
All Lucy Grey felt was the cold skin of her daughter, her breathing shallow and her skin tinged blue. Her heart dropped to her stomach. With shaking hands, she wrapped Annie in a blanket and lifted her into her arms.
On the way to Dr. Hartree’s cabin, Lucy Gray would not realize that she’d been singing the song she’d written for Annie. And she will sing it under her breath while the good doctor examined her daughter, telling her the heart defect had gotten worse. She’d sing it at the back of her mind while Dr. Hartree tells her that surgery wasn’t an option anymore, that the medicine Annie’ll need is only available in the Capitol, that if she wants her baby to live she’ll need to find some way to get her a heart transplant. She’ll sing it and sing it, hoping the girl she’d written it for would awaken long enough to sing it with her.
She would only stop when Dr. Hartree clasped her hands, telling her in a hushed whisper that she’d found a way to get them to the Capitol discreetly. The doctor’s got family among the Peacekeepers in District 12 who was going to go to the Capitol in two days. Some officer fellow that was high-ranking enough to have his own private train cabin, and kind enough to share it with them. Dr. Hartree had given her temporary antibiotics for Annie with an apology that she couldn’t do anything more. When they arrive in the Capitol, Lucy Gray was on her own. Lucy Gray who had no penny to her name, who would probably be shot on sight once the Capitol had caught wind of her existence.
Her mind was racing on the morn she and a barely-lucid Annie snuck out to the gates. They were met with a heavyset man two heads taller than Lucy Gray, driving a military jeep. Time passed quickly and they encountered no hurdles getting to the train station on time. He lent them warm Capitol-style cloaks so they could blend in upon arrival. He’d even made her a cup of tea, noticing the nervousness in her demeanor. Lucy Gray had not been expecting such kindness from a Peacekeeper, no matter how highly Dr. Hartree spoke of him.
It was nighttime when they arrived, snow falling heavily on the ostentatious buildings. It wasn’t only the cold that made Lucy Gray shiver.
Under the cover of the night, Lucy Gray held her Annabel Rose and rapped on the door of the one she’d hoped would help them. If blood was not an enough reason, she could always appeal to their conscience.
The door swung open.
“Tigris, I need your help.”

You know I’ve always seen headcanons about steddie’s kids either being artistic or sporty. With either the same interests as Eddie or as Steve.
However I like my personal headcanon that the kid wouldn’t be artistic or sporty but rather a downright science nerd. Dustin loves this fact, and teases Steve and Eddie about how he gets what she’s talking about but they don’t.
She was always curious as a little kid and when she got to school she excelled in every single subject but her favorite was science. Experiments are a normal occurrence, and sometimes it gets messy.
Her favorite uncle is Dustin, and he introduces her to electronics too. She’s obsessed.
Even when most of the time Steve and Eddie have no idea what she’s even talking about, they still listen and support her the best they can.

Some soft/fluffy (etc) Xaden/Violet HCs
So in one of Xadens Iron Flame bonus Chapters, Garrick says about knowing Xaden 20 years. Which is a decent amount of time. Especially when you consider they must have made friends around the age of 3. Meaning Garrick must have his fair share of embarrassing stories of Xaden. Imagine Garrick and Violet having a drink (or a few) and get tipsy and Garrick is all "did I tell you about the time...?" And Xadens like "thank the Gods one of you is my best friend and I love the other one of you or you'd both be dead" (in a really affectionate way)
Talking of Garrick, remember that comment he made to Xaden about 'helping him communicate in his relationship' or something. Okay so I have an image that Xaden legit rants to Garrick about how Violent 'wants to get to know me' and keeps 'asking questions' and Garrick is just "oh you love sick puppy don't you have it bad. You need help!'
After the war and everything they realize they haven't actually been on a proper date as such. Apparently fighting on a training mat or having intense sexual experiences don't count. Their dates aren't sickly romantic but they make at least some effort. Xaden will bring Violet a bunch of purple flowers, and take her places all over Aretia. The first place he takes her is his hilltop.
When it comes to Xaden officially taking his throne; Xaden makes it clear that unless Violet gets formally recognized and sworn in as his equal, he's not taking it. It's non negotiable to him
When they get married, the initial plan is to have a small ceremony with only those close to them invited. Rhi as Violets maid of honor, and Mira and Brennan walking Violet down the aisle, and Garrick and Bodhi as best men. Somehow one thing turns into another and they end up with this big ass wedding. As for their wedding night? Lets just say Sgaeyl and Tairn get a taste of their own medicine in the 'projecting the fact they are very much getting it on'
Eventually they have five kids overall. three of them are biological (two boys, the younger being premature and having some health issues as a result. They simply make the adjustments to let him live a full life and a girl who is a total Daddy's girl) And an adopted set of siblings, a boy and girl (Xaden was reminded of Liam and Sloane and didn't want these siblings separated) who lost there parents in the war, and had a few failed foster placements. They don't treat them any different to the other children as far as making sure they know they are loved
Xaden goes onto rule Tyrenndor and Violet is a professor and researcher. Her specialism are History and Venin (given how much she had to research and discover to cure Xaden).

Drew more of my ocs! Along with Muriel. Put them under the cut since one of the sketches is non-sexual nudity, also warning for pregnancy bodies once again, I’ve been practicing
Tumblr media
Writing up above is a translation of their names!
Muriel: Origin-Irish “sparkling or shining sea”
Maera: Origin-Latin “marvelous woman, mother, daughter of atlas”
Sawyer: Origin-English “woodcutter”
Anara: Origin- Hindi/Persian “pomegranate flower”
Im really getting the hang of drawing my characters in my style as well as others! I’m really happy with how the sketch of Muriel with Anara at the bottom left turned out compared to the colored sketch of everyone together.

pairing: steve rogers x platonic child!oc
summary: shortly after getting out of the ice in 2011, Steve finds out that the descendants of one of his friends live on New York, and he decides to visit them, thinking that maybe he won’t have to be all alone anymore. thanks to this, he finds a family for him in this new time.
content warning: brief mentions of death.
word count: 1.6k
Tumblr media
Doubt had started to creep in as Steve hesitated on the doorstep, staring at the wooden door in front of him. An elderly man had opened the building’s door for him, recognising him from the news, or maybe from a museum exhibit — he was supposed to be ancient history by now, but yet there he stood. The second World War had been almost seventy years ago, and while having lived it, Steve was barely thirty. And his friends were dead, as he should be.
That was why he was standing in front of the apartment, really. It turned out that according to SHIELD’s extensive database, a past teammate of his, Dum Dum Dugan, had family living in New York, close to where he lived in Brooklyn. It was a no-brainer that he had to visit, at least drop in to see what had become of something he’d known. Something that wasn’t a grave. (Or Peggy Carter, of whom he didn’t want to think about too much, for the sake of his heavy heart.)
He would be intruding in their life, he knew that. It was probable that none of them ever wanted a super soldier in their house, stirring up memories from long ago, which was why he decided that, in reality, it was a bad idea from the start. He heaved a sigh and turned around. Maybe next time he would have the courage to go in. Third time’s the charm, isn’t that how that goes?
The sound of a lock turning made him stop on his tracks. The door to apartment 9B creaked, and Steve had to look down to see a head peeking from the small opened space left by the door. It was one of the kids he’d seen on the files, barely ten years old and grinning up at him like she knew something he didn’t.
“Hi,” breathed Steve, tripping on air as he made his way back to the door.
The girl giggled, sharing a look with someone still hiding behind the door. “Hi. You’ve been standing there a whole lotta time, Mr. Steve. Are you tired?”
He blinked. Maybe she did know something he didn’t.
“You know who I am?”
“Yeah! It’s the second time you’ve been to our house, but you never go in. Daddy says to give you time, but I think you need a little push,” she said, big green eyes looking up at him. “So this is me pushing you. Come on in, Dom even had time to bake some cookies while you were there!”
She made a motion of inviting him in, but as she walked towards what he guessed must be the kitchen, he stayed on the doorway. He knew her name was Flora, she was ten and a half, and barely four feet tall, which was short for her age. She was in fifth grade in a primary school in Brooklyn, and she already knew she wanted to be a doctor. Steve knew all these things about her, and he was a stranger to her — yet she was so trusting.
She turned around to look at him, a cheeky grin on her face as she said, “We have star sprinkles for you, Mr. Steve. Dad said maybe you wouldn’t like them, but Dom and I thought it would be so funny. Do you like red, white and blue sprinkles, Mr. Steve?”
It had been a while since he’d been around children, so he was unsure if Flora was some special case, or if all kids talked that much in so little time.
He managed to smile at her, about to answer—
“Flora!” a man’s voice chided, and Steve looked the other way to see who couldn’t be other than Ronan Dugan, her father, and Dum Dum’s grandkid. Ronan’s gaze settled on him, and he could see the apology swimming in his eyes. “Mr. Rogers, I’m so sorry about my daughter’s enthusiasm. They’ve just been excited to finally meet you.”
“They have?” he asked Ronan, startled. “I don’t mind it, it’s… refreshing, actually. And call me Steve, please.”
His eyes lingered on the girl running into the other room, her giggle echoing off the walls, and he was reminded of little Rebecca Barnes, who had just turned twenty the last time he’d seen her, which had been… a long time ago. She was probably dead, too.
“Director Fury told me you’d been asking around about us,” Ronan said, “and if there’s something my kids are, is nosy, so they found out about it.”
Steve had almost forgotten that detail. Most of the family had or was currently working for SHIELD both as agents on the field or offices, ever since Dum Dum had become one of the founding members of the organization—it was their legacy, and they clearly treated it like it.
Ronan stepped closer, lowering his voice. “If you think this is too much, I totally understand. You’re not obligated to be here, Steve. I can tell the kids you were called aw–”
“Nonsense,” he rapidly said. He didn’t know if he would have the courage to try again otherwise. “I’d love to meet all of you, if it’s alright with you.”
“I’m afraid Flora and Dominic would kick me out of my house if I kicked you out,” he joked, bringing an easy smile to Steve’s face. “You can leave your jacket on that hanger, by the way. The kids are in the kitchen, when Flora sensed you coming they started baking, as I’m sure she told you.”
Steve hesitated at the strange choice of words, but thought nothing of it and closed the front door behind him, hanging his aviator jacket. Soon he was being met with the smell of freshly baked cookies coming from the kitchen, where he could see Flora and a much taller boy, Dominic—who liked to be called Dom, as his file said.
As soon as he saw him, the teenager perked up, stretching a hand toward him.
“It’s nice to meet you, Mr. Ro– Sir… Captain America,” he rushed the words out endearingly in a nervous manner.
Steve shook his hand, briefly surprised by the strength of his grip. “Call me Steve, Dominic.”
“Then you can call me Dom,” he replied, with a grin.
He glanced at the countertop, where Flora was working very hard in concentrating on handling the sprinkles she had told him about by the door. In the time he’d been deciding on whether he would enter or not, they had baked cookies that looked very appetizing—all with the color of his uniform, the flag of the United States.
The kitchen was bigger that the one he had at his apartment, which made sense given that it was for a family of three. It was cozy, and lived in, noticeable on the way the fridge was filled with stickers and photos stuck to it with magnets of places they’d visited—he felt a sudden sensation of longing in the way this house screamed home, a stark contrast to the cold place that awaited him just two blocks away.
“Can you eat cookies?” asked Flora, bringing him out of his evaluation of their home. “Dad isn’t really allowed to, he’s supposed to be on a diet.”
“I can eat pretty much anything,” he confessed, with a smile. “And however much I want, thanks to being a supersoldier.”
“Great, because we made too many cookies!”
“Come on, Flora, there’s no such thing as too many cookies,” said Ronan, bringing one to his mouth. “Especially when they taste this good. I might have to ban you two from the kitchen, eh? Not all of us can eat without getting fat.”
Steve laughed at the dig, and took the cookie that Dom was offering. His eyes widened. “This is really good.”
The kids high-fived each other, bright smiles on their faces for a job well-done.
Tumblr media
“What’s that?” asked Dominic, lazily pointing with his index finger to the leather notebook in Steve’s hands.
They had brought the trays to the living room and had turned on the television, and Steve had gotten it out of his pocket when something interesting had shown up on the News, ready to write it down for later.
“It’s where I write general knowledge events that I missed, so I can learn about them,” he said, handing it to him. “Director Fury gave me some of those, but I’ve been collecting them ever since I woke up.”
Flora stood behind the couch, reading the notebook from over her brother’s shoulder. “Steve, you’re missing a lot of stuff! I can’t believe Mamma Mia isn’t there,” she whispered in shock.
He hummed, recognizing the name. “That’s a song from ABBA, right?”
“And only the best musical of all time!”
“Says a ten-year-old,” laughed Ronan, sharing an amused look with Steve.
“Whoever recommended just Star Wars has clearly never watched Star Trek,” said Dom, a frown on his face as he read.
“I have no idea what you’re talking about,” breathed Steve, brows knitted together. “I tell you what, you both can write whatever you think I’m missing from this century—“
“—and the previous one,” piped in Ronan.
“And the previous one,” he agreed, and hesitantly looked at the kids. “And maybe you could show me some of it?”
Their eyes lit up, excitement shining in them.
“You are so watching Mamma Mia!” squealed Flora, running out of the living room.
Steve’s eyes followed her as she left, Ronan’s laugh filling the room. “You have a problem in your hands, she’s getting her CDs from her room.”
A beat passed.
“What’s a CD?”

Eliza: We saw Daddy dressed up as Santa Tristan: And he said that Santa was kidnapped and that's why he wasn't coming tonight Eliza: But how would Daddy know that? Eddie: You are seriously smart for a couple of 4-year-olds Buck: Oh no, are you calling 9-1-1 again? Tristan: You kidnapped Santa! Eliza: Where is he? Buck, taking the phone: Is this 9-1-1? Eddie: Yes, it is, Mr. Buckley Buck: Oh, Mr. Eddie. I am so sorry about this again. Eddie: So, I'm guessing I have to cancel the police dispatch this time? Is it their child or are they babysitting? You decide. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Coryo came back from District 12 triumphant but different. Tigris had expected him to come back with the Victor girl — with his Victor girl — but he only came back with an emptiness in his eyes, molding him into a man that was supposed to be long dead.
It sowed the seeds of fear in her, fear that she tried so hard to smother because that was her boy. That was her Coryo. The little cousin who clung to her so tightly during the nights when hunger pains would send them crying, the boy who’d sought out her comfort time and time again, who’d come to her first with every achievement. She’d once told him that he could be good, something she’d wholeheartedly believed at the time, but now… Now it’s less of a belief and more of a desperate hope.
Their penthouse grew brighter and more opulent. Their fridge was always stocked, sometimes obscenely so. Grandma’am glowed with happiness and Tigris tried her best to mimic the same. Oh for certain there were good times, still. The day Coryo surprised her with a sewing machine and a chest full of rich fabrics and materials, he’d been so giddy and proud, looking to her for approval. Tigris had given it to him, wrapping her arms around him and kissing his cheek. They had passed the time talking— well, it was mostly Tigris talking, ranting about the new designs she was going to be able to try out, flitting about the room and showing Coryo her sketches for him.
The moment had been cut short when an alarm rang, reminding Coryo of a meeting with Dr. Volumnia Gaul.
Moments like that were few and far in between. As Coryo grew more powerful, the distance between grew, the space in his life that provided him guidance occupied by someone else. Someone who had been able to help him more than Tigris could, despite her best efforts. Being displaced was such a sore feeling. Tigris hated Dr. Volumnia Gaul for pouring poison in Coryo’s ears, but she knew that Coryo had made a choice too.
Tigris drowned herself with work, using her creations as some sort of escape. She became proficient and famous enough to no longer work under Fabricia, likely thanks in part of Coryo’s influence who had been insistent that he only wore out clothes of her making. Tigris found a temporary joy in it, that was, until Coryo informed her that he found a spot for her as a designer in the upcoming 11th Hunger Games.
It made her sick. All the new "improvements" to the Games made her sick. The Capitol loved it, of course. As if the glitz and glamor can cover up the mountain of dead bodies and the smell of blood.
Her only consolation had been Mrs. Plinth, who she’d grown close to. She was sympathetic to the tributes, though highly cautious of expressing it. More so since her son had died, Tigris thought.
Her first tribute was a kind girl from District 4 who later went on to win, to Tigris’ guilty relief. On their first meeting, Mags Flanagan asked her about Lucy Gray Baird. Tigris nearly cried at that moment, feeling grateful that someone else besides her still remembered the songs and colors of the girl who changed her life.
Coryo’s constant brushing off of her questions regarding Lucy Gray had made Tigris fretful of the fate of the young woman, thinking that he might have done something to her. There must have been something that happened to turn the smitten boy with lovesick eyes into a hateful, unyielding man whenever Lucy Gray was mentioned.
“It was a lapse of judgment, Tigris. We realized we had diverging paths. I wanted to go back here in the Capitol and she—“ He turned away from her, but not before she got a glimpse of the strange look on his face. “She wanted to sing in the woods forever.”
It was not long after that that Tigris decided to move out of their penthouse and into the apartment above her own shop. She had felt guilty for doing so, leaving her Grandma’am in the primary care of Mrs. Plinth, but she made sure to visit often. Tigris hadn’t been sure if it was a good choice, but now…
“Is that you, Lucy Gray? Lucy Gray Baird?” Tigris asked before realizing the urgency of the situation. She didn’t wait for an answer, already ushering them in.
Lucy Gray smiled tiredly as Tigris led them into the waiting of her store. She immediately sat down, sighing as she shifted the bundle in her arms. Flaxen locks peeked from underneath the coat.
“Are— are you alright?” Lucy Gray looked no less beautiful than she had five years ago, last she’d seen her on the screen. She looked more mature now, though, sad and worried.
“Tigris I apologize for coming so suddenly. I know we don’t really know each other apart from whatever Coriolanus has said but I really, really don’t know where to go to.” she said in a rush, barely breathing between each word. “My daughter, my Annie, she’s sick and the doctor said she needed a heart transplant or else—“ Lucy Gray sobbed, a lone, heartbreaking sound. Tears streamed down her face.
“Lucy Gray breathe,” Tigris coaxed, hurriedly retrieving a piece of cloth from the scraps she had by her sewing machine. “I need you to breathe okay? I’m going to do my best to help you, but first I need you to breathe.”
Lucy Gray accepted the cloth, wiping her tears and composing herself. “I’m sorry again—“
“No need to apologize,” Tigris replied kindly, sitting across her visitors.
“I suppose introductions are in order,” Lucy Gray sniffed, sliding the hood of the coat of the bundle in her arms, kissing the child’s forehead before shifting them slightly so their face could be seen in the dim lighting. “This is my Annabel Rose Baird. She’s asleep now but she would love to meet you again when she’s awake.”
Tigris couldn’t hold back a gasp. “Oh, Coryo. What have you done?” Her mind ran wild with the possible reasons why Lucy Gray raised her daughter alone. "She looks a great deal like you."
"A great deal like him too," Lucy Gray responded. “Me and him, we weren’t planning on having Annie, it just kind of happened.
“See, we were supposed to go north to escape, to run away. He’d killed the mayor’s daughter, Mayfair, and another fella shot her boyfriend, Billy Taupe. The Peacekeepers were wantin’ to hunt down the culprits and the guns used. I was a major suspect since Mayfair hated me and Billy Taupe was my ex. I said I needed to go, he said he’d come with.
“While we were on the way, he told me he killed three people but I’d only known two of them. And he wouldn’t tell me the truth. I— I think it might have been Sejanus. Plinth. The other boy who’d been in the Peacekeepers with him? They played a recording when he was executed and he kept calling out for Coriolanus and his Ma when they hung him.” Lucy Gray shivered. “The mockingjays kept echoing his cries. It’s still in my nightmares even now.”
A small part of Tigris had suspected it, but to hear Lucy Gray’s confirmation was chilling. She felt so undeserving of the generosity of the Plinth’s.
“I wanted to tell him about Annie, I really did. For a moment, I entertained this fantasy of having a complete family, of my daughter never wanting for a missing presence in her life but, well, at that point I didn’t trust Coriolanus with anything. So I ran. Next I’d heard was him shoutin’ in the forest about me tryin’ to kill him. He started firing when he heard the mockingjays repeat my song.”
Tigris felt a bit sick at the onslaught of information. There was the difference between speculation and fact. “I’m sorry, Lucy Gray. I’m sorry that you had to do this alone.”
Lucy Gray looked at her daughter — Tigris’ niece, dear god — with so much love that it made her heart hurt. “It was fine. I wouldn’t have traded her for anything,” she said. “This isn’t the farthest I would go just to see her be alright.”
A tear slipped down Tigris’ cheek. “Tell me, Lucy Gray,” she said with as much sincerity as she could. “What do we have to do?”

Oreo Towers will Tumble
Buddie M 7K
Drew Heyward has been a floater at the 118 for a few shifts and ends up as man behind one afternoon. During this time he finds a surprise visitor, Eddie Diaz, one of the handful of omega first responders and the person Drew has been covering for. Turns out, Eddie is Buck's mate, very pregnant and bored after weeks of bedrest. They talk, panic attacks occur, and oreo tower bets are made, creating a new friendship.
“Well until I was put on stupid bed rest a few months ago, this was my place of work.” The omega answered, annoyance lacing his tone. Immediately Drew caught on who their guest is. “Holy shit your Eddie Diaz.” “Technically Buckley-Diaz, but yep that’s me. And you are?” Drew didn’t answer at first, because he was…well he was somewhat starstruck.  Eddie Diaz is one of a handful of omega first responders in the state of California and he was badass.  Pulled a live grenade from a man’s leg, climbed a tilted hotel and a submerged Ferris wheel, and survived the sniper attack back in May. His saves were legendary, and he broke through all the glass ceilings held above omegas.  “Um…” Diaz squinted a bit, eyes on the beta’s chest, “Firefighter Heyward, you good there?” “Holy shit I didn’t know I was covering for you! Oh my god! And did you say Buckley-Diaz? Buckley? As in Buck? He’s your mate?” Drew finally caught the underlying scent of ocean salt and smokey cedar of his fellow fireman mingled with Diaz’s spiced chocolate. “Holy shit!”
Its here! May not be the a/b/o fic ya'll are expecting, but this one is complete and posted! This fic was literally inspired by a pack of Oreos and the random ass image of Eddie stacking them on his pregnant belly. I hope you all enjoy!
