Oh, hip level is this high because it's the fashionable silhouette of the era, I'm very silly. There is a petticoat for with this type of skirt to create more prominent fashionable silhouette.

Back when I sew dresses for a doll I used my grandma's 1960 sewing book. And I remember it was relatively easy to construct a pattern using it.
I've spend couple of days looking on modern construction schemes on the internet and I was completely lost. Did I become this stupid in 10 years?
No. I found and downloaded this book and it's just more comprehensive. It has all formulas written right on a scheme, so you don't need to go back and forth from scheme to instruction.

I need to sew it to understand is it any good (it has some weird calculation of hip level instead of real measurement, I've just used my measurement) or I need some adjustments, but I was able to make all calculations in three minutes.

And this shit just made me feel really dumb.

I am always annoyed with people trying to make Anakin "inherently bad" and other characters "inherently good" in their metas/fics/whatever, because Star Wars is a lot about personal choices. There is no need to be "inherently bad" and "show signs" from the early age, a completely normal person can make terrible choices and spiral into evil. But also person can make right choices after years of the wrong ones.
(Tbh it's a way more realistic view on people than the one that is usually present in these metas. I've seen totally normal people participating in terrible things and mutating into terrible people because of their wrong life decisions (oh man so many people don't understand that you can spiral into that shit really really fast if you tells yourself "oh, I am with these bad people only ironically" or "I will do some shit for a bit just for money, everything will be ok"). But also I've seen people who walk away from the terrible mindset and started to make right choices (unfortunately, not as often as I wanted). )

Star Wars fandom be like: This person put a hand in a big chopping machine and it chopped his hand! Who is to blame? Of course all these people who write safety rules about not going to close to a chopping machine! If they allow people put hands near chopping machine it will be absolutely fine, because not everyone who got near chopping machine hot their hand chopped and it means that restricting putting your hands in chopping machine is evil and abusive 😡
It's interesting how Anakin broke every rule the jedi had and yet people still say those rules are why he fell.

Modern internet: Self-insert Mary Sue is so cringe
Richard Strauss in 1899: There is a piece called A Hero's Life, it's about me (because I am no less interesting that Napoleon and Alexander the Great you know 🙄), where I fight with my enemies (evil critics who don't like my works 👿) and defeat them, also it is 50 minutes long, has the most epic music you've ever heard, and you need over 100 musicians to preform it 😏

I've seen @stealingpotatoes comic strip about Luke learning to swim, and I can't stop thinking that teachers in my pool have these long sticks to hold people who can't swim at all.

Like this.
Imagine Han grabbing Luke with this thing while he learns to swim

previous post reminded me that my parents had divorce of convenience so my dad was able to get some bonuses from his work as a single father of a small child. They remarried when I was in my teens.

I usually like happy slowburn obikin with them being flirty, and sweet, and open to each other, but I have that special place in my heart for dumpster fire vaderwan with Vader being completely unhinged and obsessed over Obi-Wan and trying to hurt him, while Obi-Wan hurts him in return.

I feel like I've just lost any connection with readers in two years. My first time-travel fic got some comments, but overall I just feed my fics to the same couple of my friends, and there are like two outsiders who commented post-ROTJ AU. I can't even tell if anything I want to communicate in my fics are actually understandable for the readers because I don't have a sample size of readers who just read my fics, not my friends I know for almost 10 years, who already discussed all these things with me. Don't get me wrong I am very grateful to these people for reading whatever I write, I don't think I would be able to write anything longer than 3000 words without their support, but I kinda want something besides it.
Remember I started a time travel AU fic? I haven't written a single sentence since then, tbh. I still find this idea super entertaining, but I can't handle to write more than one fic with barely any readers' engagement.

I like to invent all these nuances, but I can't draw it, and I am not sure if I can even write it (and I am pretty sure there are like only five people who would read it).
It was pretty hard for me to come up with Anakin's and Obi-Wan's attitudes for post-ROTJ AU.
(I doubt it shows in my comic strips, tbh, because they are just... very much comic )
I feel like Obi-Wan should act more like his CW self, especially for outsiders, but there is some bitterness in him. He returned from dead and joined the war once again, despite he has never wanted it. He is a good pilot who doesn't like to fly; he is an amazing warrior who prefer not to fight. You know. He likes to joke that he should run away and find himself a rich lover, but he understands that as long as Empire exists, he can't live freely, and there is no better way to hasten the end of Empire than to join Rebel Alliance. Also, Luke is there, and Obi-Wan need to teach him the ways of the Force. He can't live his life in a way he wants, but he accepted it. (Obi-Wan shows this side of him only to Anakin after many months they spend together as teammates, and only couple of weeks before they became lovers. Maybe later Obi-Wan will be able to open up to Leia, but I am not completely sure about it. For other people he is the same competent, witty (and sometimes snarky) Jedi, who is always seem to know what to do) .
With Anakin I didn't want to go neither in "he is 100% acts like Vader but with lesser murder" nor on "he is just old good Anakin Skywalker" direction. I feel like there should be a big shift in his attitude in year ot two after his return from the Dark Side. After being a Sith (and the part of Empire elite, where everyone is Like That) for so many years, that he sees all people around him as potential traitors and enemies. He is very uncomfortable around people, and always rufe with them. Ironically, everyone except Obi-Wan was sure that it's normal. Luke was 100% sure that Obi-Wan just trying to piss Anakin off when he says that he vividly remember that he taught Anakin manners and that Anakin shouldn't act like that. Actually, Obi-Wan just knows that naturally Anakin is not like that. It isn't normal to him to be a totally unlikable ass hissing at people like a loth-cat with rabies. When Anakin starts to feel better, his attitude becomes more and more nice and likable, because Anakin actually likes people and likes to be around them.
