I love the colors you use! Do you use an undertone/overtone layer? How do you pick your color palette?
Thank you! My style is pretty simple so I don't use any effect layers for color unless I'm doing lighting, which I usually don't. A lot of the time I color pick naturally from a start/base color. If you set a background color before you pick the rest of the colors, you'd be surprised how the rest will follow that tone.
Here's some additional notes on one of my best pieces color-wise!
You can also implement a little Stealing-Like-An-Artist and make a pallet from another work.
Also color theory! Complimentary, triadic, analogous, and all that.

I redid the cover of my favorite folk album as The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. This is the kind of Old Time style that I imagined Lucy Gray's music as when I read the book. The Bowling Green album contains several traditional murder ballads, and I think the cover represents the genre as a whole rather than one song in particular. But when I read that scene in TBOSAS, this cover art popped into my head the same time I realized that "The Ballad" was a murder ballad. Chills.

First of all your Vader concept fucks severely. I mean the entire AU is amazing but Vader gave me a literal chill down my spine!!
Second of all, what are your thoughts on Mandalorians in this AU? Given that they are no longer unique in their armor wearing, what sets them apart? The style, material, tradition of their armor? Sorry I love Mandalorians and Star Wars and I love medieval fantasy so your au has me swooning.
Thank youuuu!!💞
I do want to get into Mandalorians, or at least draw some of them, but all I have rn are some sketches from months ago.
Three pages of Boba bc I just really love him.

Your Vader is just..MWAH. I think the single eye genuinely makes him more erie and intimidating than canon. Will you add another annotated section since I'm fascinated by your thought process
Thank you!! It took me a while to get to Vader, but I wanted it to be worth it.
I didn't expect my annotations to be popular and I'm so glad there's folks who're interested! I would like to keep adding to it, but I wanna wait until I have a few more posts to add. I might do a separate one for The Pantheon of Padme?

Thank you 😘
Yeah, I love Cartoon Saloon. They've been a big inspo to me. I saw The Secret of Kells when I was like 8 and it changed my brain chemistry.

Haven't been posting Star Wars recently, and I still have some Hunger Games I'm working on, but in the meantime how about something from an original project?

Katniss and Peeta! I based the prints for their District 12 clothes off of depression era flower sack dresses. Also I didn't feel like doing grime on their arena clothes because I'm texture-challenged ): rip. So lets say it's them from right before they go in.

What program or brush do you use? I love your slightly bumpy lines :)
It's an adobe pack called Runny Inkers! They're my favorite.
