okokokok but every time after nancy picks up the walkie, when eddie radios in he goes “dustin? wheeler??” and when theyre getting on the boat he leans out of the way while robin gets in but he literally puts his arms out like a prince and says “wheeler?” and escorts nancy on and he tries to stop her from jumping in the water but jumps in himself after she does and if one so chose they could easily interpret eddie throwing his vest at steve to be jealousy over nancy not steve and when theyre standing in front of the lite brite and dustin says to try it eddie immediately insistently taps her shoulder and we pretty much know eddie’s gonna contribute to saving nancy’s life while risking his own in some way or another and i just think itd be reaaaallllyyy funny if the writers were trying to set up a subtle eddy/nancy tension but the entire audience took those moments and instead interpreted them as “hes bfs with steve and/or has an unrequited crush on robin” lmao

Bruce gets accosted by reporters and one of them asks "Is it true that you're in competition with Superman to win Batman's affections?" and he is so taken aback bc what the fuck are they even talking about? There are a million questions going through his head such as, since when was superman into batman? since when was this public knowledge? wtf did bruce say to imply that he was into batman as well? And he doesn't have an answer to any of these questions so he just smiles and says, "No, I'm not. The word competition implies that Superman has a chance, which he does not."
why did he say that? Bruce doesn't know, it just felt like that's how Bruce Wayne would've responded bc what's more Brucie than fighting with Superman for Batman's heart? anyway, upon reflection, this was maybe not the best response in terms of long term consequences, but he's committed to the bit now.
a week after all this goes down, news reporter Clark Kent is caught saying that Batman deserves better than Bruce Wayne, so is a third suitor putting his hat in the ring to win over batman?

Thinking about it, most of the Eggman/Robotnik henchmen across different iterations of him fall into one of two categories: two dipshits, or an abused smart guy who either really loves or really hates Robotnik

Tell us the sex stone joke
so this joke requires the light setup of, as the Resident Geologist, on any given hike my dad will have been subjected to a light barrage of Hey What's This Rock I Just Picked Up Off The Trail, answers ranging from "that's clearly serpentinite, the state rock of California—note the distinctive gray-green color and soapy texture" to "that's probably a local mudstone" to "that is a piece of concrete" to "that is tanbark."
the joke typically runs as follows:
you, presenting an interesting pebble for identification: hey, what's this rock i just picked up off the trail?
my dad, after a few seconds of thoughtful examination: ah, interesting. what you have there is what's known as a "sex stone."
you, slightly shocked by the apparent erotic provenance of what you thought was a random rock: oh! okay. i see. thanks.
my dad, slyly: would you like to know why they call it that?
you: um. yes?
my dad: BECAUSE IT'S JUST A FUCKING ROCK.

I think a lot about Leo standing up for his brothers in the things that really matter to them.
Like- Leo is the one who immediately pushes Mikey and Donnie into finding Raph the second it’s clear that their oldest brother is missing because he knows Raph can’t handle being separated like that.
Leo is the one who stands up for Mikey when Mikey wants to go on a solo mission, actively vouching for him and being the one to convince Raph into letting Mikey go, because being independent and proving himself just as capable of standing on his own two feet as everyone else means so much to Mikey.
And Leo defends Donnie’s honor in particular when his brothers’ intelligence is insulted because Leo is well aware of how important Donnie’s smarts are to him - and how important having those smarts valued and acknowledged is as well.
All this goes right into just how well Leo knows his brothers. For as much as he’ll tease or fight with them, he knows them, and he loves them.
