“sirius left regulus” my bro stop taking events out of their context and making them into this horrible thing he didn’t wake up one day and decided “yup I’m kinda bored guess I’ll leave even tho I know my little brother will be alone 🤷”, they were both victims in an abusive household and that’s what he left, the constant torture, not his brother

#sirius didn’t have to stay and continue to get tortured physically and emotionally just so regulus wouldn’t be alone #was regulus helping him during those moments?#or was he passive abt it?#and even if he was passive (which he was)#they were kids #regulus didn’t have to protect sirius #and sirius didn’t have to protect regulus #their parents are the assholes #not sirius for leaving #and not regulus for not doing anything #I usually don’t give a shit abt what anyone says abt characters but everytime I see someone pitying regulus #and saying he was abandoned by sirius as if sirius is this horrible person #I get so fucking annoyed #no one should put aside their own wellbeing for the sake of someone else #specially not if that means getting literally tortured #SIGHS #and that being said I do think sirius felt like he abandoned regulus and felt extremely guilty abt it #and I do think regulus felt abandoned even tho he was aware he didn’t help sirius at all #but they were almost the same age so no sirius didn’t have to be regulus parent #they were just kids #and that’s how they felt #those are feelings that come from guilt and resentment #it doesn’t mean it’s what objectively happened #also yea black brother angst #but the angst in their story is much more than sirius leaving the house and regulus staying #MUCH MORE #so
