دُکھ میں نِیر بہا دیتے تھے سُکھ میں ہنسنے لگتے تھے

دُکھ میں نِیر بہا دیتے تھے سُکھ میں ہنسنے لگتے تھے سیدھے سادے لوگ تھے لیکن ، کِتنے اَچھے لگتے تھے

نفرت چَڑھتی آندھی جیسی ، پیار اُبلتے چَشموں سا بَیری ہوں یا سَنگی ساتھی ، سارے اپنے لگتے تھے

بہتے پانی دُکھ سُکھ بانٹیں ، پیڑ بڑے بُوڑھوں ��یسے بچّوں کی آہٹ سُنتے ہی ، کھیت لہکنے لگتے تھے

ندیا ، پَربت ، چاند ، نگاہیں، مالا ایک کئی دانے چھوٹے چھوٹے سے آنگن بھی، کوسوں پھیلے لگتے تھے
