a/n ~ A short fluffy drabble where the reader is a newbie idol practicing with UNDEAD. Calling this the newbie idol AU. Adonis focused.

"Good work today, newbie," Rei waved his hand casually as he passed you by. He wiped his brow with the towel around his neck.

You bowed and nodded your head fiercely, "Good work today, senpai!"

Rei smiled over his shoulder before flopping into his coffin on the far end of the practice room. He left the lid cracked to let air from the oscillating fan drift into his small space.

Before you had the chance to even say goodbye, Koga and Kaoru had vacated the room. Leaving you now with a likely unconscious Rei and a politely waiting Adonis. The man waved you over and you shoved your things into your bag before slinging it over your shoulder and rushing to meet him.

"Thank you for your help today, senpai," You followed your words with a deep gulp of sports drink. Thankful that at least one member was willing to walk you back to the dorms. ES was a bit of a maze.

Adonis nodded his head and hummed pleasantly as you walked. "Of course. I hope you are settling in well." He was similarly drenched in sweat, but the heat and exertion hardly seemed to bother him. You supposed this was the life of an experienced idol. "You only have one more practice session with us, correct?" He tilted his head in your direction.

"Yes!" You replied, maybe a little too enthusiastically, "I train with Knights next." While the prospect of meeting another famous idol unit was appealing, you would miss the time you spent with UNDEAD.

You and a select few pre-debut idols had been chosen to receive exclusive lessons from some of ES's top units. It was part of a new initiative to prepare promising trainees for their major debut. Shockingly, UNDEAD was the first unit you were assigned to learn from. The first few days were intimidating but the group was nice enough. Adonis especially.

"Knights is a talented group. You will learn a lot from them," Adonis's encouragement pulled you back to your conversation.

"I think so too," You fiddled with your hands, your words were bittersweet. You sincerely hoped you would get to spend more time with Adonis and the rest of his unit in the future. But saying that sort of thing after knowing them in person for a mere few days... Well, that might be a bit forward.

Adonis, you were learning, however, thought quite differently. "I hope we can continue to practice together after your major debut," The words were said plainly as Adonis lead you through the square.

You stopped dead in your tracks, tears welling in your eyes. "Otogari-senpai..."

He turned, faintly shocked at your reaction. "I'm sorry, did I say something to upset you?" He reached his hand out tentatively, unsure if he should touch.

"Mm-mm," You shook your head, taking his hand, "I know I'm just a rookie... but getting to train with you and the rest of UNDEAD has been an incredible experience..."

Adonis nodded.

"I worried that higher ups had forced you to work with us trainee idols... I'm so relieved to hear that you want to practice with me again!"

Adonis smiled, "UNDEAD, volunteered for this program. I cannot speak for the other units, but we felt it would be a mutually beneficial experience to both teach and learn from the next generation of idols." He pulled his hand from your grasp to pat you lightly on the head.

You caught up with his stride as he began walking again, a little slower than before. "Let's take our time on the way back to the dorm," He smiled.

"Yes, senpai!"

Hiiii ! Back to request again !

Got inspired by San singing Rewrite The Stars in his Toktoq live and thought of this.

What about idol San and idol (fem or gn) reader being part of groups considered as rivals or rival agencies but San and reader are dating. No one knows about it until one day, they do a collab stage in which they perform Rewrite the stars together. And at the end of the song, in the heat of the moment, they kiss on stage, in front of everyone

However, hidden beneath the rivalry was a secret that no one knew—except for you and San. Despite being idols from rival companies, you and San had been secretly dating for over six months.Your groups had no dating bans, but you both decided to keep your love life private, away from the prying eyes of the media.

The atmosphere backstage was electrifying as you prepared for the highly anticipated joint performance between JYP Entertainment and KQ Entertainment at the annual music awards show. The opening notes of "Rewrite the Stars" filled the air, and you began to sing, your voice blending seamlessly with San's. Suddenly, the stage went dark, and bright lights shone on the two of you. For the first time ever, you shared the same stage. Your voices blended perfectly, your dancing synchronised, and the cheers of your combined fanbase echoed throughout the arena.

Welcome~! To Planet Wonderland SEKAI!!

I made another AU woohoo

So really really cool idea, so Rui, who is a beginner astronaut, takes his first trip to planet Wonderland SEKAI, when first entered, a alien-idol who goes by Tsukasa Tenma notices the newbie.

So I just came up with Alienkasa being an idol because I was listening to Mai Mai Mai by MitchieM on loop and wanted to make fanart or Alienkasa at the same time (and if you guys didn't know my only art motivation is music so when i draw it's based off of a song) and im like WAIT TSUKASA WOULD BE AN IDOL FR???

Anyways Planet Wonderland SEKAI is like a mix of the canon Wonderland SEKAI and a Cyberpunk themed setting. I think I can make that possible, right..? Yeah very futuristic!!

Anyways the au is called Astro-nami⁠☆Explorer

I already have Tsukasa's design drawn so I need to make Rui's.

ALSO in Planet Wonderland SEKAI, the language is English with little use of simple Japanese words that most of you guys would know

So I saw you can do crossovers and I have been CRAVING Genshin girls with a crossover S/O. I was thinking either Zelda, Kingdom Hearts, or Pokemon.

So...if you really don't mind, could I get Ayaka, Yae, and Shenhe with an S/O who is a Pokemon trainer (the Pokemon they have can be up to you!)

(If the whole crossover thing has changed, feel free to ignore this, it seems like a bit of a stretch anyway lol)

I only know something about pokemon from the media you said! But I'm not an expert, somehow pokemon is one of the medias where I am not a total lore nerd... Also it's not general hcs... I just thought about first meeting scenarios and went all in haha...

Also explanation for their "signature" pokemon. Ayaka just cuz I think it suits her lookwise lol. Miko cuz her having a nuisance of a pokemon is funny to me. Shenhe cuz it's is one of the best counters for ghost types. I'm typing this just so people won't write stuff like "bUt wHy DoeSn'T MikO hAVe A VulPIx" she does. I just wanted to include one pokemon per character.

Ayaka

She was one of the more popular pokemon idols as well as a gym leader, so she didn't have much time to herself at all.

Froslass is one of her signature pokemon. It was odd that actually when the two of you met, she had an argument with it.

The constant fighting and training for the performances has drained her Froslass, and you saw how upset it made her when you went to challenge her. The very idea of neglecting her pokemon made her feel terrible.

So instead of fighting her, you helped the two get along again. And she appreciated it more than anything else.

Ever since that moment you've been in contact. She wanted to repay your kindness after all.

It took her a long time to reach out again, but when she did she was so happy to see you again.

So you went on a "date" where it was just her trying to thank you for everything. You really enjoyed talking together and if you didn't connect last time, you sure did now.

Miko

Her life was always one where she didn't travel too much unless she needed to. She had a few pokemon she spent her daily life with. She really adored taking care of them. But secretly her pokemon were very well trained.

She liked to challenge random trainers from time to time, often acting like she doesn't know anything.

When she met you, you could immediately call her bluff but you still accepted. Your suspicions turned out to be correct when you saw what kind of a monster her Gengar was.

And her strategy was confusing you. But she had everything planned for a sudden win, rather than overpowering you and crushing your hopes in a minute.

Such playing with her food had caused her to lose because you weren't some newbie. She was everything but disappointed though, although she couldn't amuse herself with your reactions, she was entertained by battle instead- which she didn't think would ever happen.

So ever since that she wouldn't just let such a fun opponent go. She was hoping that the two of you would run into each other more often.

And she wasn't disappointed. Because fate kept bringing you together. By that point you've already became close.

Shenhe

Her job was dealing with ghost type pokemon who were often getting a little bit too comfortable fooling around public spaces.

And one day... She ended up having to scold your pokemon on your behalf before you managed to catch up to it.

You made sure to apologize to her for all that inconvenience, but all she said was that it was okay and then went her way.

She was so beautiful and graceful... When your pokemon saw the way you looked at her... Let's just say that it wanted to play a wingman.

It kept running away from you and making you run into her often. It only stopped once you got the courage to ask for her number.

She was blunt and it made her so appealing. Your ghost pokemon actually really liked her too!... But it didn't get along with her Weavile as much...

In the end your pokemon was listening to her better than to you. You honestly had no idea by that point if it played wingman for you to be happy... Or for it to spend more time with her.

wangxian rookies in showbiz au where newbie idol Wei Wuxian is on set of a commercial wearing a ridiculously uncomfortable outfit getting yelled at for dumb reasons by his incompetent agent while bottom-of-the-totem-pole production assistant Lan Wangji is being bossed around by the awful director

Except wwx isn't actually a newbie he was once popular child actor Wei Ying seen everywhere, the golden boy of the industry known for his upbeat personality and the smile constantly on his face.

That is until his final role when he was 13 where he played a dark jaded teenage psychopath in a psychological thriller and was forced to perform intensely emotional scenes without any counselor or anyone there to keep an eye on him (his manager at the time Madam Yu's focus was always her other children's careers, Wei Ying was just an extra way to make money you see). He even got badly injured on set, and now has an ugly burn scar above his heart from a poorly done fire stunt.

But the movie flops and things just keep getting worse from there...

It gets no attention from critics that is until former golden boy becomes the teen misfit all the gossip rags talk about, with constant cover stories showing him at 15 doing drugs and partying and eventually getting kicked out by his manager/aunt at 16. The narrative becomes clear that Wei Ying is a flop and another failed child star turned deplorable diva

He disappears for a few years, only ever coming up in a low budget TMZ special or some commentary youtuber's videos, but Lan Wangji never forgot him.

Lan Wangji had often worked with his uncle when he came on as a consultant on set and so was able to watch and admire Wei Ying from afar. He's especially fond of Wei Ying's role as the happy go lucky middle child on a popular sitcom role and his smaller movie roles where he played a genius child inventor and solved crimes alongside a precocious bunny rabbit.

So well Lan Wangji has always been a fan of him so he's shocked when the new idol on set of their cheap commercial stage looks so similar to Wei Ying.

But at the same time, they're not the same at all. While Wei Ying was known for being friendly and silly, Wei Wuxian is acting like a pompous and cocktail overly confident ass, flirting with the director and everyone else while making a show of whiny and being cutesy with hopes for more screentime.

It's very unnatural and there's a moment where LWJ thinks he must have been mistaken but there's a moment in between when he's running back and forth on the producer's order while balancing cups of coffee when he spots WWX sitting by himself, huddled in a corner of the soundstage deep in the shadows where no one else is around.

He's staring at the fingernails they've painted and stuck gaudy fake jewels on and fiddling with the ridiculous black demon wings he's wearing, as he picks at the layers of makeup and stickers they've put on his face. He's tugging on his red crop top, cut indecently short and revealing so much, as watery eyes dart back and forth in front him like he's worried someone important might see.

In general he doesn't seem anything like the person he was under those lights just minutes ago.

As lwj approaches he sees that actually wwx shoulders are shaking his hands are clenched into fists, his eyes shut tight so that his makeup doesn't run

Wei Wuxiann watches as the director is barking orders for someone to fix the set as another idol takes wwx's place and finishes the shoot. Apparently his acting wasn't "peppy enough" so they've replaced him with someone else

But this was his first gig in months, years actually but months since he tried to come back and for it to fail like this, so fast without anything to show for it is absolutely devastating. He'd tried so hard to give them what he thought he wanted, desperately hoping for his big break. Only to fail again.

What does he do? What can he say? Why does he even bother?

He's staring at the floor like it might have the answer to all his problems when a pair of white sneakers appear.

He tracks those sneakers up to meet the stonefaced stare of one of the PAs he's seen running around, the youngest one who's been doing the most menial tasks. He looks somewhat familiar but his face is impassive and wwx can't tell at all what he's thinking

The PA hands him a bottle of water that wwx takes with both hands, too taken aback to do much else. Then the PA slips his headset off and sits next to him, the black faux feathers of wwx's wings brushing against the PAs arms, though he doesn't seem to mind

And so they sat. Two nobodies hidden in the shadows of a forgotten corner in a busy studio, far from the reach of the shining spotlights and stage. Little by little, wwx finds it easier to control his breathing and stray sniffles.

Eventually, the PA starts taking off his hoodie, revealing a plain white t-shirt underneath. He reaches into his pocket and holds out a marker for wwx to take as he turns so his back is facing him.

When wwx, understandably confused, doesn't do anything, the PA glances over his broad shoulders and just says "Sign, please."

Wei Wuxian blinks waiting for the punchline but it never comes. He's not even on the roster for any boy group, just a trainee idol whose only fans are the diehards who follow the trainee circuit and his sister. And this guy doesn't seem like the former and he definitely isn't the latter.

But the PA just sits and waits, back facing wwx.

Eventually, almost mechanically, he signs his new autograph, the one where he uses the 2 W's to make a smile.

He asks for a name to make the signature out to, and the PA answers in a quiet hesitant voice that he can barely hear over all the background noise, "Lan Zhan."

That name sends a spark up his spine like it should be familiar but wwx can't figure out why. So he finishes his autographs with a star and a flourish. He hasn't gotten to test out the new signature yet. He thinks he likes it better than he'd expected.

Wei Wuxian beams up at him, heart beating a beautific beat against his ribcage and asks, "Why would you want a signature from a nobody like me?"

He means it as a teasing joke but the PA, Lan Zhan his brain corrects him, gives him a grave look that steals the breath from his lungs.

"You're not nobody, Wei Ying"

Lan Zhan takes the marker and slips his hoodie back on, covering the autograph with their two names side by side, and with a final nod he walks away, melting into the general chaos of the production floor.

It takes a long moment for Wei Wuxian to realize he'd never told the guy his real name.

eeee okay!! i was gonna ask about the actor au i know its from ages ago but im a sucker for that kind of au 😭 thinking about the cast all taking care of each other on set and stuff and everyone is ik's biggest hypeman/woman, after all shes carrying the whole show on her back. ik falling asleep mid-scene and belphie carrying her back to her trailer and telling off the directors for pushing her... beel sneaking her snacks on set just in case.... mammon and ik making each other crack up while theyre trying to film........

i do have a soft spot for this genre of au, especially since here the actors just get to be regular people... allow me!! (this ended up being more au framework than cast interactions so feel free to ask for more of those haha)

okay so quick refresher on what i'd previously established: jtta is a show, and everyone's an actor in it

for simplicity's sake, they all have keep their names, and the character they play within the show is just named for their sin/role

so lucifer's character's is Pride, mammon's is Greed, so on for the other brothers - diavolo is The Prince, barbatos is The Butler, etc

of the brothers, in this au, only beel+belphie are still twins, and satan+lucifer are cousins, but the rest aren't blood-related

now starting to add some stuff...

diavolo's already very well-known before being cast, he'd be the Big Celebrity Name that draws in people

they're all from varying backgrounds - lucifer used to be a concert pianist, solomon was in stage magic, asmo's an idol, satan and simeon were both in theatre, luke started out in local pantomimes and got scouted, etc.

of everyone, simeon, levi, ik and luke are regarded as 'newbies' to showbiz

ik and luke because they're young, though luke has more acting experience (ik got called to audition purely by chance so this is her first role)

simeon because he came into acting from having been a nurse, which doesn't really prepare you for the job

and levi because this is his first role, his previous work has always been on practical effects and such (so he ends up being the most nervous in interviews)

before being cast in the show, lucifer and mammon were already acquainted - lucifer was mammon's mentor when he first got into acting, so they're under the same agency (they get called 'double threat' because they tend to appear in the same productions)

satan and lucifer are fairly distant emotionally, but they aren't on bad terms, they just had different trajectories in life before both ending up in acting

(satan starts a faux-rivalry with lucifer to prepare for their roles as wrath and pride feat. all the baggage from obey me, and it turns out they're actually very good at annoying each other in real life)

everyone has the same base personalities - mammon is still loud and impulsive, levi is still self-conscious but passionate, diavolo's still cheerful and confident

but with some elements softened (for example, barbatos isn't a super dedicated butler who literally lives to serve diavolo, he's just a good friend of his)

partially because the different setting means there's a different sort of social hierarchy, partially because they're all humans who lived mundane human lives and experienced a lot less trauma

e.g. lucifer is still fairly formal, stern, and not exactly cuddly, but he's much softer by default, has less sophisticated speech patterns, and has a higher tendency to joke around with the others

before they start filming, they get the cast to spend a few weeks together to get a feel for their chemistry

the seven 'brothers' click fairly quickly, but it takes a bit longer for the purgatrio to do so because for some reason simeon and solomon can't STAND each other in the beginning

it's so bad at some point that they almost consider recasting, but then one night they get drunk together and suddenly they're best friends the next day

ik's probably under a lot of pressure, since she's completely new to all this and is now expected to shoulder basically the whole show

diavolo and barbatos would be the quickest to take her under their wing

but ik is a little (a lot) intimidated by her new co-star, given that diavolo is like a ss-tier celebrity (as is asmo, solomon (though he's less mainstream and more cult-following), and lucifer to some degree

so at first she gravitates towards levi instead - who is similarly new to the scene, and not too busy arguing with solomon like simeon

and since levi's also spending time with his 'brothers', at that point ik gets pulled into the group

it's only after getting used to lucifer that ik can graduate to just accepting diavolo's support without freezing up

anyway by the time filming starts the entire rest of the cast has agreed: ik must NOT be bullied by the directors, we are going to make her first acting job go as SMOOTH as possible

there's actually a bit of an issue where they film scenes from earlier in the season before the characters have actually bonded in canon, but because ik's already formed a very strong bond with the 'brothers', their acting ends up being too familiar

the scene will call for pride to very haughtily look down his nose at the lost kid (ik's character name) and say something scathing, and instead lucifer will look at ik with the Gentlest eyes and deliver the line with entirely the wrong vibes

they're still actors at the end of the day though, so once suitably scolded they do know to ignore their real life relationships and play the roles as directed

one time ik accidentally breaks a prop mid-scene, which mammon notices before the directors can, so he grabs it and makes it look like he did it instead (he gets a reprimand for not being careful, but nothing otherwise. even so ik feels so bad that mammon has to distract her with card game)

later they figure out what happened while reviewing the footage, and when they go to ask mammon about it he's like "yo you stay QUIET about this, understand?!!"

beel is ik's designated hide-behind person when she gets nervous/uncomfortable in interviews, while belphie is the designated deflect-the-questions or tell-the-interviewer-to-fuck-off person

Last thought before I go to sleep Deubek (college) idol au where Sebek is a diehard Malleus fan but one day Silver offers him a ticket to go to his friends concert (apparently his friend is a newbie idol and gave Silver a ticket but Silver can't make it).

Sebek initially refuses but after Silver tells him that after the concert they might announce some news abt Malleus too (Malleus and Silvers friend work in the same agency), Sebek agrees to go

There he sees Silvers friend, Deuce, performing and for the first time Sebek realizes he has an actual oshi (ofc he is a malleus oshi but like his love and admiration for Malleus stems from the fact that his family has served Malleus's for generations. With deuce he just saw this guy on stage and was blown away by how hot he was yknow what I mean)

Does not help that he later finds out Deuce goes to his college and Silver introduces them (totally unaware that Sebek is now Deuce's biggest fan), and Sebek just has to keep cool and pretend like he doesn't own all of Deuces albums and shit all whilst promoing Deuce's songs online and making everyone he knows stream it

If they let Kadoc in the summer event this year the Barbie meme is exactly how it would go down. Actually the Barbie meme, is basically also Goredolf and the rest of Chaldea.

Oh and not related to the Barbie meme, but an Au where Kadoc also survives the explosion in the beginning. The angst/hijink potential of that in a Kadoguda would be amazing. Kadoc self esteem getting worse because here is this nobody being the best master while he struggles. Ritsuka and her imposter syndrome because yes the servants love her but she feels like she stole Kadoc's place. Kadoc slowly falling for her but not saying anything when he notices her crush on Romani. Kadoc getting hunted down by every servant because they're jealous because one day they'll get unsummoned but he'll stay by her side. Kadoc nearly combusts with the Halloween/summer/Christmas events and by the lostbelts he still thinks he's the only sane man but Goredolf tells him he is very much not, because what you mean you tried to convince Liz to become a Rock idol instead.

i think kadoc would be crippled for a few months...almost a year? but physical therapy with the medical team can help! and yes, i think in-singularity events would most likely be the same, ONLY!!!

at first, of course he doesnt like it, he feels useless already. he's bedridden for a few months, for some unknown reason his circuits wont work, his faily crest is still there though, his sirius light is there but it doesnt feel like its really there, so he feels hopeless with nothing but da vinci, dr roman, mash to visit him and treat him like glass... and the newbie who suddenly rose to the top all because she managed to avoid the explosion. what luck.

fujimaru calls him "senpai" as mash always did to the girl. as hes stingy, he refuses, constantly guilt trips this happy go lucky idiot, hes constantly envious of their position, he watches the records of the singularity, how clumsy and stupid she is, and why the hell does she keep befriending sentient weapons capable of annhilating half a country. hes pretty surprised fujimaru hasnt died yet in the first singularity...

but then-

he hears his favorite rock music blasting loudly in fujimaru's earphones while excitedly talking to nightingale, who was in charge of the infirmary.

"oi, shitty kouhai," he parts the curtain to catch the red-haired girl's attention. like lanterns in the night, her eyes brightened, "ah! senpai! what's up?"

ugh. he needs to hear that song again and see the last update his second favorite band made. after all, they released a song on the day of the explosion. just when he planned to privately see their livestream after the rayshift test was over. it was seriously unfortunate that he was out cold for almost a month.

soon enough, just as he asked to hear what fujimaru was listening to, she lit up at the prospect of him being a rock music fan. and yes, he begrudgingly admitted it but at least it got him her phone (which she gladly lent. jesus christ she really is an overly trusting idiot) which was nothing but hundreds of songs in different genres, which surprisingly had some of his favorites in it. and unable to help himself, he took a look at her gallery, and again, had nothign but pictures of her bonding with the servants, and mostly mash, da vinci and then...

huh, in all of the doctor's pictures, all of her shots are taken at really good angles.... he skips all that and huffs, opting to enjoy listening to the music as he studies and recovers in bed, half-hoping that the idiot would come back soon so he could merely ask her about the true names of the servants in her gallery and why she doesnt have any pictures of her family friends or siblings and relatives prior to her life her at chaldea

wait I HAVE TO STOP i will ramble about the idea at this point!!!!!!! thank you so much for kadoguda AU idea T-T its so good!!!!

and i love to give kadoc a stroke and maybe some tumor so he will witness a lot of Bullshit in many events that he will become incrasingly tired instead of building of immunity. his peaks of stress is visibly seen, as you said, in halloween, christmas, and summer, all of which he intends to lock himself in his room but gets dragged along with ritsuka becase he certainly is Not Weak when it comes to her

i think i wanna have kadoc also summon anastasia though! he deservves to see her again no matter the AU imo TvT

i think kadoc would be a tiny bit jealous with romaguda! especially if its requited! kadoc would maybe call gudako from afar while shes talking and laughing with romani, or maybe theres also a hint of reverse...? now i want to see jealous romani lmao

if that happens, i think maybe it would be in a scenario where kadoc and ritsuka are having their moment, and romani suddenly appears out of nowhere and says, "Would you mind if I talked to Ritsuka for a little while?"

MAYBE just MAYBE he emphasizes how he is on first name basis with her while kadoc refers to her on last name basis.... so ahHHHH my feels!!!! jealous romani is seriously good if you put him in a certain situation!!!

💝Present for You ~ Aira💝

"Oooh! Newbie!" Aira's eyes light up as he turns in your direction, "You came to celebrate my birthday!" He rushes over to you and clasps your hand in his.

You distantly hear Tori yelling about being ignored and interrupted but that can wait. Aira is pulling you by your hand from the entrance further into the party. You are glad he noticed you immediately because you are instantly overwhelmed by all the big-name idols at the party. Of course, all of Alkaloid is here but even the leaders of UNDEAD and fine have graced this room with their presence.

Your mind swims a bit, but you are pulled back to reality as Aira's hand slips from yours. The whole time your other hand has been tucked behind your back, hiding your gift from view.

"Ha-happy birthday Shiratori-senpai!" You stumble out.

Aira smiles at your stuttering, clearly trying not to laugh before composing himself. "Geez, Newbie, you know you can call me Aira~ I'm not that senior to you when it comes to idol activities anyways."

You let out a soft breath, "Okay... Aira-senpai!"

Aira smiles and puts his hands to his face, "That sounds so Love~!" He blushes and moves excitedly, "It's so cool to be a senpai... I was an underachiever for so long you know."

You smile back, satisfied having heard your senpai's signature phrase. "I've brought you something, Aira-senpai," You fiddle with the object still hidden from Aira's view.

Aira's face lights up again, "Really? I'm so excited!"

You bring the envelope before you and grasping it with both hands, offer it with your head bowed. "Happy birthday, senpai!"

You aren't looking but you can hear Aira clasp his hands together in delight before gently taking the letter from your outstretched hands. "A letter? Thank you, Newbie!"

You blush as you look back up at Aira admiring the lettering and decoration on the envelope. "I've only been able to spend a little bit of time training with you..." You start, "But I want to get to know Aira-senpai more... So, I wrote all sorts of things in that letter!" You break eye contact briefly, "I also included... one of my training unit bromides... since you like idol goods. I hope that's not overstepping..."

Aira beams at you, his smile wide. "That's so Love~!! A photo of my cute kouhai? It'll be a rare item when you make your major debut! I'll cherish it, thank you~"

Your smile matches his as he praises you. You'll thank the staff later for printing pre-debut goods for you and the other trainees.

"Shiratoriiiii!" You see Tori distantly waving his arms and throwing a fit as Yuzuru lightly scolds him.

"Oops, gotta go! Have fun at the party and have some cake!" Aira waves as he turns, still securely holding the letter. "Coming, Himemiya-senpai!" He throws another smile over his shoulder before disappearing further into the party.

You are left a little dumbfounded in the middle of the room, but you spy another trainee idol at the dessert table. Well, it would be rude not to try the cake~

"I love Halloween!" Jungwoo exclaims, shoving a handful of candy into his mouth.

"Careful, Woo, where'd you get that candy from?" You readjusted your costume and Jungwoo leans toward you.

"What?!" Go figure, he couldn't hear you over the deafening music. You had both decided to go to a Halloween rave just because it was nearby, but this was Jungwoo's first rave, and probably not one a newbie should have gone to but at least he's having fun.

"The candy! Where did you get it from?!" You took one of the wrappers and gasped. "Jungwoo! That's not candy!"

"What do you mean?!"

"Oh my god, how many of these did you eat?!" You tried to count the handful of wrappers and Jungwoo shrugged.

"I dunno."

"Jungwoo!" You dug a hand through your hair and he grins.

"It's fine, it's fine! Let's just have fun!"

"Dude, how are you even still walking?!" You took the unwrapped one from his hands and chucked it over your shoulder.

"Fuck it, we ball," Jungwoo slings an arm over your shoulders and drags you into the mosh and you chug the rest of your drink before it could spill out of your hands.

"I ate what?!" Jungwoo held an icepack to his head while you dug through Mark's cabinet for some Advil.

"You really surprised us both," Mark shrugs.

"Wait... how did we end up in Mark's house?"

"You don't remember?" You looked back at him and he shakes his head.

"Jungwoo! Jungwoo, what's wrong?" You shook him until he composed himself.

"I just really miss Mark."

"Mark? Like, Lee?!" You asked, surprised.

"Yeah!"

"Uh..." you look around and squinted through the strobes. "Okay, we'll call him."

"Promise?"

"I swear?" You dialed Mark's number and while it was ringing Jungwoo takes another candy out of his pocket and you take it and chuck it into the trash bin. "Who keeps giving you these?!"

"That guy," Jungwoo points at the man holding a basket.

"Yuta fucking Nakamoto when I get my hands on you!" You charged at him and Yuta shoved his basket to another person before bolting and Jungwoo, confused, ran after you and tackled Yuta down.

"We got into a fight?!" Jungwoo shouts.

"Dude you won the fight!" Mark exclaims. "You should've seen (Y/N), sent Yuta flying."

"Here you go, Woo," you handed him the medicine and he swallows it down with water, "you also owe Yuta $500." Jungwoo choked on his water and you rubbed his back.

"Why?!"

"You ate a lot of candy."

"Fuck!"

Order of Appearance (StC)

Kagamine Len - Aspiring Idol who looks up the KAITO and Tsukasa. Makes alot of mistakes but does not let it bring him down and will always try better, more and more! (Appears in Main Story)

Kagamine Rin - A carer. She always has snacks and drinks with her to give to the others so they don’t wear themselves out. Also offers alot of words of encouragement to the others but doesn’t seem to take it to heart herself. Seemingly has a dream of being an idol herself, but is not confident.

Megurine Luka - Represents the need for attention in a way. She takes pictures of everything, from the Stadium, to the crowd, to the Idols, to herself. Luka also seems to have creative side that she is not scared to show off, showing her own painting and art. Ena doesn’t like her.

MEIKO - Works backstage. Makes sure everything is going as it should be, from lighting, to stage effects. She won’t let anything go wrong but if it does, she will blame herself and promises to do better next time and begs the other to forgive her mistake.

I was reading the other questions sent in, and I wondered what would happen if the player was isekaided as a new producer in Enstars?

Anzu and the other idols will see us as a rival for the player's affection and will probably start to hate us when they notice that the player has disappeared after the new producer has been introduced into the game

In case they find out that the player is also the new producer (I imagine Anzu, Ibara and Eichi will be the first to know), they will do everything to get their beloved player to produce their unit and be closer to them

But what if the player is assigned to a newly formed unit and seems to get along and be close to each member?

The poor rookies will be hated without knowing why by the older idols who will probably give them dirty looks

Some (all?) of them may try to disband the unit or force the player to drop the newbies for them, after all, why produce strangers from nowhere when you can produce the idols you've spent so much time with?

And congrats for the milestone!

The player gets isekaied as a new producer in Ensemble Stars

At first, the characters are not going to like your sudden inclusion in the game. Normally, there is some type of announcement from the developers when a new character is going to be introduced to the game but this time your sudden arrival was a complete surprise to everyone. No one knows who you are and nothing is knows about your past either, meaning that the developers didn´t connect your backstory to any of the already existing ones. So you´re a completely new producer that appeared out of nowhere?

Well, they´ll hope they can keep the player´s attention anyway but obviously they can´t help but feel a little nervous now that they have one more person as competition. But then they quickly realize that the player hasn´t logged in in a long time and they get anxious. A new character is introduced and all of a sudden the player is gone? The timing is way too convenient for it to be a simple coincidence

Did the player leave because of you? Did they hate you so much that they stopped playing the game? While you may have felt the disdain for you earlier, it´s a lot worse now. They´re openly malicious towards you and even the nicer ones can´t help but stay away from you.

That is, until the truth comes out. I do think you´re right with your asessment that Anzu, Eichi and Ibara will be the first ones to find out! Anzu because she had the closest connection to the player and Eichi and Ibara because they´re both very intelligent and cunning and because they´re both the heads of an agency so they´re bound to have more interactions with the new producer that is helping out and assisting the idols.

And boy oh boy, you might get whiplash from the sudden change in attitude towards you. So you weren´t some type of new rival but rather their beloved player that came to join them? Oh what a joyous day! And you´re a producer too! No matter how talented you actually are at your job, every unit now desperately wants you to become their producer. They´re really sorry for treating you so poorly before, they didn´t know it was you!

But instead, their prayers are denied because you instead produce a completely new unit that none of them had heard of before. I´m just going to use the concept from the idol!player ask where the new idols are twins that are very similiar to the player and are eager to please you. Maybe the game introduced the both of them when you were still very much disliked so you could have some people that stand by your side no matter what and comfort you?

Well, now the idols turn their hateful gazes towards that new unit. They were just added to the game, they´re shallow clones of each other and now they think they´re worthy of spending so much time with you? And it hurts even more when they have to watch you get along so well with those two. You´re laughing and smiling so much and they really wish that you would direct that kind of attention their way instead!

Please, they´ll do anything to win back your favor! Please be their one and only producer! They´ll surely try anything in their power to make you reconsider.

Eichi has experience with trying to break up an idol unit, he already almost suceeded with Trickstar and he arguably has even more power now so who says he can´t just do the same thing again? He has learned a lot from his past mistakes but that doesn´t mean he can´t play dirty when he feels he needs to. And your attention is worth more than anything else in this world. He also has enough money to make sure everything goes according to plan.

Similarily, Ibara is already scheming a way to make you drop your current unit and make you produce Eden instead. They´re one of the greatest and most successfull idol units out there so don´t you think it would be best for your future career to produce them instead? Ibara could arrange things so you become directly affiliated with Cospro and won´t need to bother with all of the others begging you at your doorstep to come to them.

Shu is kind of offended that you would choose any other unit when Valkyrie is obviously the correct choice. No other unti could compare to their artistic talent so surely the choice is obvious? At least that´s what he sounds like on the outside, ever the proud one. But on the inside, Shu is actually way more insecure and stressed out at the thought that they may not be performing to your expectations. This is his life´s work and he´s spent so much time and effort perfecting Valkyrie´s art, but what if it´s not enough? It nearly breaks him to think about so he tries to throw himself back into work designing some new outfits. He´s probably not going to try to actively hinder the new unit, instead he will try to prove himself to you so you will choose them on your own. Maybe he can tailor an outfit for you to show you just how much he appreciates you?

Izumi probably just straight up bullies the new idols in true Izumi-fashion but while usually there is at least some semblance of care in his words, there´s absolutely no sympathy when he talks down to them. His words and criticism are cruel as he tells them how inexperienced and unworthy they are to be produced by you. Just who do they think they are that they can just take up all of your attention like that? Are they really so stupid that they think they could ever make it as idols? Hah, it´s so annoying to deal with them but Izumi feels like it´s what he needs to do to increase the chances of Knights being chosen. Knights is not known for always playing fair, especially not when it´s for their beloved producer. Izumi can´t wait for the day when you´re at his doorstep, telling him how sorry you are and that you´ve finally come to realize that Knights is the best choice for you. Until then, he´ll just have to bide his time by following you around while you go about your day.

Okay, I made a post awhile ago about making a Foamstars Splatoon AU, so I’m gonna share some ideas I have about that!

Also disclaimer - I like splatoon and I am using this as an opportunity to basically make some OCs and play around in the Splatoon Universe using Foamstars as inspiration at best. I like the designs and some of the kooky ideas in Foamstars, but I am not a fan nor have I played it. I don’t have any intention to play it, I honestly think it doesn’t look very good.

Okay? Okay!

Setting - Wash Vegas

First off, the setting isn’t Bath Vegas (the canon name) but Wash Vegas. It’s a city somewhat far away from the events of the main Splatoon games, but still located in Inkadia. This city is full of rich people, and is a mashed combo of Silicon Valley and Las Vegas. It’s where the rich and elite live, investing in technologies to make a business from and partying it up at night.

After Turf Wars became a massive thing among the youth, a new kind of performative sport also started cropping up in this city- Foam Battles. Instead of a team sport, it’s more like a death match pro-wrestling. Instead of gaining points from inking turf, it’s by how many splats you get in a limited time (with different battles having different gimmicks), with the battles switching between team based objectives and all out battle royale.

The participants in these Foam Battles are the Foamstars, who craft a persona around themselves and unique weapon to each. These weapons can convert the natural ink from Inklings and Octolings into foam-like substance which can still splat their opponents but also change the environment they’re playing on by making walls and ramps, and destroying it again with their specials.

Now… this sport, despite its differences, is seen as a rich person rip off of turf wars so the Foamstars aren’t there for fun or challenge but to gain clout and make connections among the elite. So they’re basically influencers but they fight eachother, and even if the games aren’t technically meant to be rigged they often are so the favourites win more.

Characters

I’m going to give a short description of each AU character along with an image of the actual Foamstar character webpage from Square Enix for an idea of who I’m talking about since I doubt anyone here knows who each character is (ignore the bubble beastie stuff that’s gonna be a whole thing and a WIP). Also there’s surprisingly very little info on their personalities on the website, so I’m pretty much flying solo here and I have no idea what they’re actually like in-game lol.

Soa

(Just one letter away from “Soap”, real creative.) So this is Soa, her stage name being Bubbles Blobba. She is an amateur inkling idol, among many trying to make it in Wash Vegas, but has been given a new chance in this gig of being a Foamstar.

Soa is very naive though, the classic “wide eyed newbie trying to make it in the cut-throat entertainment world”. She is bubbly and energetic, and is willing to make friends with almost anyone. But that Optimism is often taken advantage of, she didn’t even know what a Foam Battle was when she signed up and just went along with it. Her genuine spirit and great singing voice has made her quite a few fans already though, so she’s got a real shot at fame.

Her weapon is a modified dualies, shooting bubbles of foam, with her special being a variation on Baller. She is light on her feet and nimble, and is an expert at dodge rolling, but often gets in over her head during battles.

Frenzy

Next is Frenzy Hohojiro, known as Agito online, and his basic backstory is similar to his Foamstar one - He’s a pro-gamer trying to prove himself outside of gaming. He is an octoling hailing from the Splatlands, and was even apart of the well-known Hohojiro clan - making him Shiver’s older brother (their sibling dynamic is very much spiting one another out of love).

The Hohojiro Clan is a long line of Shark riders and warriors, however Frenzy didn’t really care for all that and was much more enamoured with gaming and eventually left his family to peruse it - gaining massive success much to his family’s chagrin. He is very competitive and doesn’t back down to a challenge, wanting to dominate the Foam Battle leagues to prove himself, so his shark has become somewhat neglected.

His main weapon is a modified rapid blaster, with his special being a version of Reef Slider. He isn’t great at dodging but is very skilled in on-the-fly tactics.

Tonix

Tonix here is an inkling born and raised in the Wash Vegas science division, being home schooled by her father who is a brilliant scientist (Tonix is her nickname). She lives and breathes science of almost all kinds, gaining a very… odd personality as a result. She is very energetic, seeming almost manic at times, and has severely neglected social skills from her life among socially awkward scientists.

She also has a bad habit of doing experiments on her friends without asking, or on herself, seeing herself as a genius and not really caring about consequences. This attitude is why she has a state of the art prosthetic leg, as after an experiment gone wrong she jumped at the chance to make her own leg. She’s also Bioluminescent - seemingly no one knows why, not even Tonix herself.

Her weapon is a modified Brella, with her special being a powered-up auto bomb which seeks out other players and explodes. She made them herself, of course.

Jet Justice

Jet Octopada, known widely by some as Jet Justice, is a former Octarian soldier from Octo Canyon - one of many defectors after the infamous Calamari Inkantation was played. He is now a civilian hero in Wash Vegas, using his military experience, and wanted to be a force for change which brought him to Foam Battles.

He is kindhearted and genuine guy, but not naive like Soa or even Frenzy is. He sees the system is corrupt and wishes to use his position to advocate for better conditions for the lower class workers in the city, and maybe even steer it towards something better. (This leads him to take Soa and Frenzy under his wing, as he sees they’re good kids deep down.)

His weapon is a modified blaster, and his modified special is splashdown. He is a force to be reckoned with in foam battles, able to counteract even the worst cheating or bias using his own skill. However, because he is so caring of others he will sometimes help his opponents as well by accident,

Navie South

(Okay I basically had to change Pen Gwyn to be a different character because global warming isn’t really a thing in the Splatoon world anymore, since they use Zapfish and power eggs for energy rather than fossil fuels.) (also her name in Foamstars has been changed to Penny Gwyn, these are old screenshots lol)

Navie South is an Octarian, like Jet, but didn’t defect from the army. She lost her honour and status after she failed to stop the agent who ended up taking the Great Zapfish back, so she’s on a quest to correct her mistake outside of Octavio’s knowledge. She’s participating in Foam Battles to gain connections among the elite, her fans think her military outfit and personality is an act.

She is disgusted by basically everyone, seeing the inklings as enemies and the octarians as traitors. She is ruthless in Foam Battles, having been one of the top decorated soldiers in the Octarian army, and will do anything to win.

Her weapon is a modified shooter, specifically an splattershot with a rapid fire rate, and her special is a modified curling bomb which slides forwards and explodes.

Rave

One of the younger Foamstars, he is a giant squid inkling whose family came from the Deep Sea Metro. Rave Breaker isn’t his real name, but he insists everyone call him Rave Breaker since it’s cooler.

Basically, he’s a teen who heard about “sanitization” during his time in the deep, but never actually learnt what it meant… which is why he made his whole persona around ‘cleaning the filth from this city’ and ‘ending all the parties’ as an edgy anti-hero/villain. His fans love it though.

He’s really a sweet guy, a cinnamon roll if you will, who studies and works hard and doesn’t want to let his family down after they funded his career into being a Foamstar - unaware that his family’s business has made them super rich, and his parents are gaslighting him into thinking they’re only scraping by to drain his own money. He needs a better support system.

He’s also a very skilled mechanic and fighter. Due to his skill and being very tall, people often assume he’s older than he is.

His weapon is a modified heavy splatling, and his special is a modified Inkstrike. He made both of them himself, and actually does repairs for other Foamstars if they ask since he’s more trustworthy than Tonix most of the time.

(I’ll admit, I have a strange fondness for this guy. He’s my edgy son.)

Vulgan Glacia

He’s old money from Inkopolis, an Octoling whose family fled Octo Valley generations ago. He’s snooty and arrogant, but polite and dignified. He his participating in Foam Battles for fun, and to promote his grandkid’s coffee house business since they don’t like him just dumping money on them.

He absolutely loves his kids and grandkids though, and will let you know even if you don’t ask. He has all their pictures in his wallet, and makes sure to know what they’re all doing. He used to have a wife who is now deceased, so he raised his kids all on his own and is a fantastic dad. (He’s also worried for Rave, his dad senses are tingling when Rave talks about his family, but isn’t particularly close to the boy.)

His weapon is a modified splatling, and his special is inkstorm which dissolves foam as it passes over.

Sweet Beak

The most mysterious Foamstar, the Inkling Sweet Beak acts as both the mascot, poster girl, and secret CRO for ‘Sweet Dreams’ - a candy and sweets brand whose products are massively popular in Wash Vegas. Sweet Beak herself acts as the promoter and mascot, while behind the scenes she’s a cut-throat CEO who will do anything to dominate her competition.

She doesn’t care for ethics or standards, only winning and power. She lives a double life, pretending to be an innocent and cute young girl in Foam Battles but dropping the act in private. She will cheat, lie, backstab, and punch her way to the top - never caring for who she hurts along the way. This persona also allows her to forge connections with higher ups of other companies, and to keep herself clean from any accusations that might be thrown the company’s way.

Her fans love her for her sweet and girly personality shown online, and for her sweets themed gear and weapons. Her main weapon is a Blaster, and her special is a foam themed big bubbler which will disperse foam when going through or popped.

Note: These characters were first made before Foamstars released, and since the website has barely any info on them, this isn’t reflective of their characters in-game. I might check that out on YouTube, but idk right now.

Plot/Story

Right now this is the most unfinished part, but here’s the basics.

Originally, Foam Battles were just done for fun, but recently it’s been found the foam weapons are very effective at fighting monsters called ‘Bubble Beasties’. These monsters started appearing with no warning from an old waste dump outside the city, and now it’s overrun with these creatures and they have been attacking parts of Wash Vegas for unknown reasons.

Our main characters get caught up in one of these attacks during a game of battle royale between these 8 (there are more Foamstars than just these guys in the world) and they managed to stop the attack. So the head of local the Wash Vegas Defence Force recruited/drafted them to fight these attacks when they pop up, and now they’re all having to learn to get along.

TLDR: The plot is basically celebrity and entertainment drama, mixed in with some superhero action.

((I’m not 100% on this, and this is based on the in-game story mode stuff which I skimmed, so this is the most subject to change part of this AU))

For your Unit Shuffle AU, could we get a brief overview of the units' "main stories"? Like, how they formed and what they want to do and how they got into their Sekais for the first time?

ok so i have. a confession to make. i don't have as much for everyone in equal amounts of detail (spring circuit i am especially lacking)

i can give what i do have but bear in mind that some of this is me figuring stuff out on the spot.

if you have ideas i'm definitely open to working with people to develop what i do have or what have you

BUT. that being said. what i do have

going to put this under the cut bc no matter how much i have per group this is going to be long

i did already talk about juvenile/glory in another ask, so i'll start with sweet syndrome

now.. i have a lot less for the formation of sweet syndrome as stated, but i do have some ideas! that being that in this au, mafuyu's mom is a lot more of a.. pageant mom? the kid pageant to idol pipeline if you will. and it's not so much that mafuyu dislikes being an idol as she dislikes the fact that her mother is SO controlling about what she does and her image.

that is also why i gave mafuyu her short hair lim, inspired by a different idol mafuyu au i saw, i thought the idea of mafuyu cutting her hair in an act of defiance would be a fun idea, but also added in the idea of shizuku cutting her own hair as well :) shizumafu matching haircuts.

emu is kinda like minori in regards to all this, and hona gets involved because she sees her practicing and is like ....can i join. emu and mafuyu's relationship is similar to canon at the start, but because they're in the same group here emu gets to offer her more support.

spring circuit is probably the most. i'm gonna have to actively change these characters' circumstances for the group forming to make sense. shiho is probably the most likely in canon to have ended up in a vbs like group on her own, though.

haruka presumably got into it on her own and found it didn't stress her out as much as being an idol did? maybe haruka and shiho found out about each other either from both going to miya or seeing each other's performance (or the latter happened and then they realized later they both go to the same school and befriended each other because of their similar tastes both in live performance and their canon thing with plushies)

and then nene and kohane.. i guess it's probably like how kohane got involvd with vbs in canon? just with haruka and shiho? nene likely still has her doubts about singing in front of people again like she does in canon, but kohane being a total newbie makes her want to try harder to do it again because she atleast has experience and kohane doesn't yet.

echo-show isn't far off from actual wxs circumstancially minus the different members, tsukasa still wants to be an actor, it's just that this time he has toya with him (who didn't get into street music, but ended up following tsukasa into his dream because he figured theater was something different that would piss off his dad) and toya ends up finding his place and enjoying theater more than he thought he would :]

emu doesn't work at wonder stage because she became a idol, but her family stills runs pxl so she meets tsukasa through this and basically helps him and the rest of his group get settled in!

my thought with kanade is that, assuming it's the same hospital, there's a window of time that kanadad and saki would both be in the hospital, so it's theoretically not impossible that tsukasa and kanade met at some point and realizing their similar circumstances tsukasa ends up kinda adopting her like a stray cat GFDHJGFHJJ

(so help her god if and when tsukasa finds out that kanade is living in the r/malelivingspace bedroom he is bringing her home with him and he is not taking no for an answer)

minori is the one i'm.. least sure about how she joined? i guess maybe because she's friends and classmates with pxl superfan kohane that maybe she ends up seeing a show while the group is just kasa toya and kanade and ends up being so impressed that she stays behind to talk to them and ends up getting scooped into the group

ALSO while i do think echo-show still has tsukasa's sekai, there is definitely something to consider with the fact that this time around tsukasa's in a group with one of his siblings who would recognize the plushies and have Thoughts about tsukasa Not recognizing them 👁

house of outcasts. my darlings. my favorite group. the one i have the most for. buckle up gamers we got a lot to say

SO! house of outcasts starts with rui and mizuki, who stayed in closer contact after rui's junior high graduation as mizuki never really met/got involved with n25. rui has his little solo shows, and he ends up meeting up with mizuki to show them his latest idea, and mizuki is very impressed and tells him basically listen if i recorded this for you i could probably edit it into something so fucking good. do you want me to do that? i could do that. and that ends up being how this internet group forms, starting with just rui and his robots and mizuki recording and editing (plus also probably costume making since it's just already canon that mizuki designed his show outfit) behind the scenes.

but rui ends up one day asking mizuki hey you know i wouldn't be opposed to you wanting to perform alongside me- i'd understand if you didn't want to do it, but the offer is there. and mizuki is hesitant but gives it a try, and ends up having more fun than they thought they would, so the group goes from one performer and some robots to two.

that's when their sekai first appears :) and unlike the rest of the groups minus e-s i actually have in mind what their sekai looks like. an open school rooftop space (you can guess what it's pulling from.. aha), plenty of room to practice and try out stuff for their shows, but also more cozy quieter spots to just sit and relax and look at the view- which is a fantastical colorful world (think the aesthetic of what the environment of rui's fragment sekai looks like, but a bit more toned down in the brightness department)

miku and len are their main/starting vocaloids. miku is a older, sister type figure, who is welcoming and kind to rui and mizuki, making an active effort to show that there's nothing wrong with who they are. len pulls a lot from.. rui's child self, before he lost his hope, down to the fact len says "people are people and i am me!" like kid rui picked up from his mom. it hurts rui initially, to be so heavily reminded of his younger self, but any coldness he feels towards len because of that quickly wears off, not wanting to treat len the same way others treated him, and acts a lot like an older brother to len, something mizuki finds very sweet.

an is picked up next, mizuki offers to invite an into the group, given an didn't have anything to do at the moment, and an joins, but while rui in this au is a lot more closed off at school than canon rui is (significantly less explosions and drones) he's more open when it comes to stuff involving hoc, so an kinda has to get used to that and it.. takes her a bit to.. fully get into it. it doesn't show in what they create, but behind the scenes an struggles to find her whimsy in it and get used to this kind of performance (however she does get more comfortable after a while).

saki ends up getting picked up via encountering one of them (maybe mizuki? they could both have been shopping at the mall and bumped into each other) and saki gets excited and tells mizuki she watches their performances and thinks their shows are so cool and that they remind her of the shows her brother would do for her when they were younger, but that hoc just seemed even more up her alley, and mizuki ends up asking if she wants to meet the rest of the group to see about joining and of course saki eagerly accepts and ends up joining the group.
