Hey! Since you enjoyed my silly little coma head cannon i thought i would share few more!
Once you lose your 6th life you fully despawn. the difference is that despawning means you fade away pixel by pixel starting from where every your wound is, under the span of a minute until you were nothing but the consequences you left behind.
Some personalized coma headcannons. (I have not whatched every POV).
I believe Jimmy died in Martin's base. This likely meant that after the fall martin carried up his body from where it fell back to Jimmy's doll house, and probably did daily check ins to see if he was awake or not. and maybe even feels like its his fault. not overwhelmingly. but he knows hes partly to blame but after jimmy wakes up, some apologies and pranks are shared. the two bounce back into being friends like nothing happened.
Sparrows machine left him in a coma. Scott found out about this the hard way and brought the man to his own home because it was raining and storming and Sparrows tents weren't going to hold well against the weather. From there Scott anxiously awaits for Sparrows awakening. But also fears it a little because when Sparrow inevitably does awake he'll have some new hybrid features that will surely startle and confuse the once human. But Scott's prepared every kind of meal set and has made a promise to himself to help sparrow through whatever troubles come.
(Hey? can i tell you a secret about that head cannon right above this?....I wrote a fic about it. im not sure if im allowed to self promote or anything here. This ask is already super long but, if you like the idea look up 'Sacrificing Storms' on Ao3.)
Ahem. Sorry. Don't know what that was about. Anyway i still have more i could share but will save for another day.
-Star anon :D
(Thank you for the explanation by the way. made a lot of things make sense)
Ooh, this is really interesting! And kinda creepy lol. Imagine how horrifying it would be to watch someone lose their 6th life. All of a sudden they aren't laughing and joking, but they aren't just passed out while their anatomy changes like before. No, no matter how much they joked about these comas being "death", there is no comparison to watching someone well and truly die. They're just frozen in horror as their friend's body vanishes before their eyes. Within seconds, all that is left is whatever they had on them at the time and a whisper on the wind.
The server feels a lot more empty in the coming days.

hi hello salut. do you find that having a tumblr account to promote fanfictions is helpful or do readers find your fics regardless? i am publishing first time ever. thank you greatly, big fan
Yeah, I'd say so.
For one you have another platform to let readers know "hey! there's a new fic of the thing you like!" Not every reader sorts fics on 'most recent' and only go off 'most kudos'ed/viewed/bookmarked'. A new fic will have an incredibly hard time to land a high spot with those filters. Hell, some only go off other people's recs... So any additional place you can let readers know of your fics existence helps.
It also makes it much easier for readers to reblog your fic. If I read a fic and like it, I probably wouldn't make my own post like 'oh this fic i read was really nice'. I would, however, reblog someone's tumblr post. This helps your fic (potentially) read a wider audience.
Just make sure to properly tag your fics so that—even when you don't have many followers—people can still find your fic!

I've kinda seen some pushback to the idea of representation in media and I don't necessarily think it's bad to point out actual rights are more important than Disney's thousandth first gay character that's fine, but I've had a LOT of people comment on my works about asexual characters and tell me what I wrote changed their life-and it's always that phrase- because they now have the language to describe what they feel. I've had people who ARENT ace or aro comment that what I wrote finally made a concept they didn't understand make sense, or that the way I explained things was interesting and enlightening and I'm kind of a mediocre writer who hasn't written anything in ages.
Like idk, if reading something from a writer who is fucking around and only somewhat talented can genuinely impact someone because they've not seen anything like them reflected back at them in life or media I don't think pushing for representation in media is as "needless" as some people seem to think and caring about that doesn't mean you don't care about more "important" (although if you think seeing people like you in media ISNT important it's because you already have that representation or are privileged enough to not care if you do, in which case maybe pipe down) stuff. Hell, I even got a Facebook message ages ago from someone who found a comment I left in an ace group about QPR's and what they meant to me and how I perceived them and the person no joke said what I wrote two years before they even found it changed their life forever because they finally knew what kind of relationship they actually wanted.
So like sure, of course there's always bigger fish to fry them diversity in media (you know, like diversity in real life lol) but I don't think it's as frivolous as some people are beginning to act like it is. At least not if you're an aspec person it's not, I STILL don't see ace characters almost ever and I'll bet my whole everything if I asked a writer of a show why they'd tell me that EVERYONE has to be in a sexual relationship and characters that aren't won't sell and are boring- I say this because in film school I had a teacher TELL ME every character needed to basically be sex obsessed and when I pointed out a GREAT MANY CHARACTERS are not revolved around sex (Supernatural stars two brothers, I pointed out) and when she asked if I had love interests I was like ??? That doesn't matter- using my aforementioned supernatural example almost all their love interests die or get mind wiped because at the end of the day that's not what the story was about. So actually I think writers who act like that teacher need like 50 reality checks, and representation in stories isn't unimportant and also support indie writers you'll probably find more funky shit there then Disney anyway lmao.
And also even the asexual characters I DO see in media don't remind me at all of myself even if I appreciate the effort, but they never feel real or genuine and their sexuality doesn't get a lot of exploration so 🤷🏻♀️ I actually could use more media focused on characters that I can genuinely see my sexuality reflected in in a meaningful and narratively impactful way because I've got nothing.

[BBC Merlin writers room]
Writer: Ready?
Intern, holding a pen over blank notepad: Ready.
Writer: Okay. Keep up with me now. So the episode is "The Lady of the Lake." She's gonna be Merlin's girlfriend just like the myths.
Intern, taking notes: Nice, nice. What version of her name are we using since Nimueh and Vivienne are taken?
W: Freya. We're gonna call her Freya, after the Norse goddess of love and beauty and magic and war. Her name means "The Lady" and she rides in a chariot pulled by cats. Cool, right?
I: Uh, yeah, cool, cool, nice parallel to Merlin with the goddess thing, I like it-
W: And we're gonna curse her. Weird-ass pointless curse that turns her into this giant winged panther every night and kills people for no fucking reason at all. And we're gonna name the thing she turns into after an Egyptian cat goddess of medicine and fertility and healing, because that makes total sense, right?
I: Wh- Um-
W: And then we're gonna kill her.
I: wat
W: Yeah, Arthur's gonna stab her, and she's going to die in Merlin's arms, and he's going to send her body out into the magic lake, get it? And we're never gonna mention her again except this one 30-second scene where she gets to FaceTime Merlin through a puddle, and like, these two times when her arm comes out of the Lake to take Excalibur. But that's it. Got all that down?
I: But-
W: Good! Cut, print, check the gate, moving on.
I: ............whatthefuckjusthappened?
yeah uh, bbc writers, do you accept some tweaks i have to this episode's plot? i'll hand all of it to the intern and see how they like it if that will lead to your approval!

Neverland in August
wc: 3.7k
dynamics: peterpan!tae x wendy reader (ish) | forbidden love | right person, wrong conditions
synopsis: as a freckled, pig-tailed little girl, your mother always assured you that you could have all that you ever dreamed of.
all that you ever dreamed of involved him.
gliding through the grass blades of a backyard, in youthful roleplays, he was always an integral part; your husband, when playing house; your knight, when trapped in a tower (your humble tree house); a partner in crime, when raiding the kitchen of food.
naively, you held the expectation close to your heart, that he'd always be part of your life. but time is cruel in more ways than one, but especially in the way it stretches, sags and wrinkles things beyond recognition. he's no longer your partner in crime rather a ghost quivers in place of the boy you once new. naively, again, you think you can revive it, fix it.
he's not yours, and the grief of a dying dream aches deep in your bones.
