Hello, my loves. I can't believe it's already March.

I unfortunately need to ask for your help again. I recently learned that I need to move, and I am beginning the search to find a new place to live. As a result, I’ve had several more bills than usual, and while I’m figuring things out, I am fortunate that I had the exact dollar amount for this month’s rent. Thankfully, I have until the end of this month to find a place, but in the meantime, I am out of food and money for groceries. My two cats also need food and litter.

Hey friends! Best news ever! I finally have a job! I start on the 18th! Obviously, this is great, no more selling what little I have anyway. But, I'm in need of some groceries to at least get me by, as I won't be getting paid right away.😔. But, that's where I need some assistance. Just some stuff to sustain my belly for a bit. Guys, I’ve never asked for financial help online before. But I’m kinda fucked right now. I’ve been homebound with medical issues since mid December, unable to work. I’m on track to be back at work in like two weeks. I thought I could make it this stretch because I had student loans coming in, but there has just been delay after delay after delay. We’re now a month into the semester, and I still can’t touch a penny of my loans. I need to pay rent and buy groceries, that’s what any of yall’s help would go to. I have other expenses but those can wait until I go back to work. Right now, I just need help with the basics until this all works out. Any donations $50 or under, I’ll pay back once I start working again.

Up until this medical issue, I was working two jobs while in school, and I plan to do that again once I’m fully healed. I have one job doing in-home work with children who have ASD, and another job staffing support groups for adults with bipolar disorder. I love what I do, and it pays just enough to scrape by, so I’ve never asked for money help online before - I’ve never even been in this kind of position before. Any help y’all can offer is greatly appreciated. And I’ll do everything I can to return that kindness once I’m back on my feet. Thank you for taking the time to read this!

For anyone who is having a hard time right now! Mother's Day is a lot of feelings. This one is for the oddly specific feeling of "my mom lives with me and I'm struggling under capitalism, and I want to show her love despite feeling defeated" if you relate please leave some bittersweet mom songs and songs about food, wanting food, and some songs about capitalism. My sort of maybe embarrassing “late to the game” thing I’m learning now is how to tell if oil has gone bad.

I feel like most other foods have obvious visual tells like mold or they end up smelling foul and obviously bad. But I was googling about oil and the internet says “if it smells like crayons, it’s bad” which would not have been my first guess. And I tested it out on my somewhat old sesame oil and was like “by god, I would describe this as smelling like crayons”

Anyway protip if your old oil smells kinda like crayons it’s probably no good 🖍️

Another day comes and goes with my hopes people are doing what they wanted for this new year. Nothing better than hearing good news about whatever that may be. For me a job would be nice to find. A part time that makes at least $100 a week. This week I will find a side hustle that works for me. Still need to get my groceries for the week. Plus plan out all the things that I love to write about. Thanks for reading!

It’s simultaneously demonizing and infantilizing us. Some of us are Evil Wicked Sinners, and some of us are Poor Lost Souls. And the Poor Lost Souls will be led astray by the Evil Wicked Sinners unless you, a Good Pure Righteous Christian Leftist, help us See The Light. And when we push back, when we say you are wrong, you’ll get angry and hateful and violent. Suddenly, we were never a Poor Lost Soul, just an Evil Wicked Sinner in disguise. Suddenly, you can justify any manner of cruel or hateful behavior against us. Same old shit that’s been happening for centuries, just with a fresh coat of paint.

So I can't edit this to show what it is exactly, but I basically just got shamed by a Facebook "friend" for offering to share this link to get laundry supplies for my birthday. So now I'm miserable and that wasn't what I'd wanted to happen at all.

So if anyone would like to cheer me up, this is my family's Homeless Supplies list. I need as much of the laundry and disinfectant stuff as I can get. Clothes for me (or even my mom, because she still needs pants) would be a huge help, as I lost 40 pounds last year and most of my stuff is too big or it's full of holes. Food is much appreciated by all three of us.

Our last two paychecks lined up real bad with the holidays and got massively delayed in depositing. You know what didn't get delayed at all? Any of our bills drafting out of the bank! 🙃

So thanks to "fuck you for being poor" overdraft fees for bills that should have been covered, we lost nearly $500 to overdraft fees.

That's our grocery budget for the entire month, much less just this two week pay period, and it's left us short on utilities. 3 out of 4 of us have doctor appointments this month and prescriptions that need refilled.

We're kinda screwed. It's especially upsetting on top of everything else because I'd done a lot of very careful and tight budgeting before the New Year, and I had a sliver of hope in me that we might be able to at least get through a few months of 2024 without having to beg for help. All that's being helping me cope with this situation is the reminder that I've done my best and capitalism actively wants to punish me for existing.
