hey all, my name is casper and i’m a black 21yo bigender person. every day i take the bus to and from work, and sometimes i fall asleep on the commute back– i have a very strenuous job and a long ride home. i’ve never had any problems with this until last night when i woke up to find that my belongings had been rummaged through. many things were missing from my bag, including my wallet and my $300 hearing aid. i rely on my hearing aid every day as i’m completely deaf in my left ear. today has been extremely stressful trying to figure out how i’m going to get a replacement hearing aid and state ID, i’ve had to cancel all my cards, and i just don’t know what else to do. i don’t like doing this but i have nowhere else to go. if anyone could spare a few bucks to help me get back on my feet, it would be mean everything to me.

These pictures and words cannot begin to describe the pain the city is going through. Intentional wildfires razed the city. The houses lost are between 3000 - 6000. The official death toll is 99 people and hundreds of animals but the numbers could double as many areas of debris have not been searched and some bodies may have simply been disintegrated, while also having aprox 400 people unaccounted for. The bodies left on the streets are being eaten by dogs

People burned in their homes, in their cars, in the streets. They ran but the fire ran faster. Entire families have been lost, the damage is irreparable. Stories of bravery are abundant but also are those of tragedy. PLEASE HELP ME MOVE MUCH SOONER THAN LATER

Hi, it's Tea.

Long story short: I originally made this ko-fi goal (that has been up for a while, I just never got around to making this post here) to gradually save up to move out in 2024. However, things have been extremely stressful and frustrating ever since my abusive father moved in with us back in 2022. And NOW things have escalated to the point where I no longer feel safe in my own home. I just can't do it anymore.

I was originally planning on moving later in 2024, around August-October, but now I'm looking at moving closer to May/June. I have a job that pays decently, but I've had to periodically dip into funds to pay off other expenses. Thus, I set the goal of $5000 to have as a cushion in addition to my current income. Depending on how things look for me in the next few months, I may or may not raise the goal, but this is a good start for now.

In addition, I plan on making adopts again (and still have a couple left up for grabs), in addition to opening my commissions back up to offset the expenses, but donations help the most.

We are now in the city of Rafah, dying of hunger due to the lack of aid, high prices, and lack of job opportunities. My brother and cousin also disappeared in Khan Yunis when we were starving. My brother and cousin went to get the flour that we left behind when they were displaced to Rafah. They risked their lives for us and went from Rafah to Khan Yunis and have not returned until today because Khan Yunis is a dangerous combat zone and we know nothing about them. My mother can't sleep because she lost my brother and knows nothing about him. Please help us so we can leave the Gaza Strip. Honestly, every little bit helps

The money will be sent to us through my cousin Baraa who lives in Belgium, and we hope that we will raise enough money to eat and leave the Gaza Strip to an area where we feel completely safe.

So I can't edit this to show what it is exactly, but I basically just got shamed by a Facebook "friend" for offering to share this link to get laundry supplies for my birthday. So now I'm miserable and that wasn't what I'd wanted to happen at all.

So if anyone would like to cheer me up, this is my family's Homeless Supplies list. I need as much of the laundry and disinfectant stuff as I can get. Clothes for me (or even my mom, because she still needs pants) would be a huge help, as I lost 40 pounds last year and most of my stuff is too big or it's full of holes. Food is much appreciated by all three of us.

I don't know if anyone's seeing my other post so here I go again, we've been without electricity for a while, we still don't, we have a charging box that sometimes gets charged. And that's not a guarantee we get to use it. We've been struggling to get things like propane, ice, to cook and keep our food refrigerated. Then there's food scarcity, and our soap dwindling. Because life loves to have us going through the same hoops and loops, my mother's case, for homeless assistance, ebt, and health insurance, she has to apply again because they closed her case after giving her the wrong form. Which in result screwed up SSI, because she no longer had health insurance. So basically, anything you can do to help is much appreciated because we're barely keeping our footing.

the good news ~

As rents for even a studio apartment in my area have skyrocketed in the past year plus, I've had to shift my search for a permanent place to live to renting a single room. Fortunately, one of my long-time customers (almost ten years) rents a room from a pretty good landlord, here in my hometown. His wife and kids are in Mexico, but he finally got notice from Immigration that she's been granted permission to join him in the States (he's a US citizen). So he has to start looking for an apartment for when she (and their children, who are all college age) finally move here. Which means his room is going to be available in 3-6 months time, and he can put in a great recommendation for me, which should work in my favor against my very poor credit. Great news, and some true hope on the horizon.

in the meantime, I'm broke until 11/22 ~

I'm still left with trying to get a room at a local motel at a weekly rate. My budget has been quite tight the past couple of months, but I've managed fairly well. And right now I have a room paid up through Saturday night (11/11). However, I have to pay two years motor vehicle tax (being homeless last year, I honestly lost track of it because I have nowhere to receive mail) and my car registration out of this week's paycheck. So, starting Sunday, I'm going to either have to sleep in my car (and the nights are down in the 30's now) and/or sleep in the breakroom where I work. As much as I don't want to ask yet again after the generosity that saved me from losing my belongings to auction, I have to give it a try. So I'm just putting this out there, and any bit of help that people can manage will be deeply appreciated. Thank you in advance for any help or signal boosts that people can manage!

============== The story: I am in a financial pinch right now. Last week I was in a horrendous amount of pain only to find out a tooth I previously had work done on was not done correctly. My new dentist informed me I had an infection and would need a new crown and root canal ASAP. Unfortunately my insurance does not cover dental so I am out of luck until I can raise the 2 grand to fix my tooth. For the time being I am on antibiotics 3 times a day and pain killers to get me through.
