So you know that I was drawing spiderverse comics lately. Because they are fun to do. And I think people like them. I mean the most popular one has like 4K notes? That's lot for me when I usually dwell in tiny fandoms made out of like 3 people and their dog. So it's nice, everybody is having fun and I'm grateful.

I just found out that somebody took few of that comics. Cut them up and run the text through ai reading voice and posted it as reels on fucking youtube.

And it's not even that I'm stumped why even turn 4 pictures into video. First time I see such a time wasting thing but ok. People do like different things.

And even lke some effort was done to erase text from speech bubbles so it appears as the ai spews it aloud but it's not even about it

I had pictures taken and posted somewhere else. Usually without credit. At least this time it was credited? I guess I should be grateful.

What fucking gets me is that those comics have several hundred thousand views and few hundred comments each.

If you believe that klaroline was too “abusive,” but have no problem with Caroline raising Alaric’s children, being forced to carry his dead wife’s children without her consent, the pregnancy nearly killing her just so she could save Alaric from his pain. Did I forget to mention the fact that she almost married Alaric? Let’s not forget that the person desperately claim is Caroline’s “true love” did nothing to help her when she was getting abused by Damon in season one just because he wanted no issues with him and Elena. firstly, these characters are fictional and we can do whatever the fuck we want with them even if that means some people are going to mischaracterize them to the point they're unrecognizable. you don't have to consume fan content like that but it is allowed to exist.

i just feel like it's pointless and it makes a lot of people (especially younger more impressionable fans) feel bad about the things they enjoy when you see these huge rants about why two characters can't be shipped because it's not canon and in canon "they would never" etc.

i respect canon. i also take canon and set it on fire then turn the ashes into whatever i want because it's fun and transformative

bsd canon has a questionable relationship with its female characters. bsd canon has made plenty of questionable choices with both its plot and its characters.

bsd canon is also a wonderful piece of media that we all enjoy for different reasons and interpret in different ways so just like...stop, y'know? it's not that hard to just not look at a certain ship's content if you dislike it, there's no need to keep screaming into the void about how it's not the way it's "meant to be" in canon
