In every universe trope idea: Soap x Reader / GHOAP x Reader? Sort of?

@solivagantingrebel - your every universe idea sparked one of my own, hope you don’t mind! :D

Soap always remembers, something happens, an inciting burst of emotion resonates between you and all his past lives come back to him. A laugh, crying over something silly, anger? Whatever it is, it always happens around the time you join his unit(or other historical group of militia etc.)

You never remember, and Soap is cursed to fall in love with you, and you fall for him and confess, moments? Days? Before he’s set to die.

This time you don’t fall in love with him. Because you remember this time, and know what admitting your love will do.

It’s crushing, debilitating, enough to make Soap *want* it to end.

But he loves you and would never hurt you like that, you’re his best friend, his soulmate. So he sticks by you no matter what.

You and Simon fake date (you take a risk, explaining that you and Johnny are soulmates and that you have to keep the knowledge and your love hidden from him, or he’ll die). Simon relents and frankly you’re compatible, but it’s nothing on the love that burns within you for Johnny.

The Makarov mission comes around and last minute, you convince John to send you in instead of Soap. Something tells you this was supposed to be the moment, so you decide to defy fate again.

Ends with you on your knees, a teary smile on your face as you see Johnny and Simon arrive just as the hammer is pulled back, barrel against your temple.

“It’s ok Johnny,” you weep, “This time, you get to survive.”

“Hen?” Johnny roars, followed by a pained wail of your name.

Simon is holding him back as he looks at you with despair, but he nods, understanding what has to be done.

“I love you Johnny, in every universe, it was always you.”

Bang.

Of course they fall in love but Ghost is terrified of what Soap will do once he finds out he's been traveling with a zombie of all things.

It was early morning, the sun still rising in the sky and casting rays of pink and orange against the clouds. You were at the market behind the small bakery stall that you helped run, smiling at customers as they looked between the different cakes, pastries and breads, trying to decide which one they desired more. You greatly enjoyed your job as a baker’s apprentice, you liked being able to create with your hands, the feeling of dough beneath your palms and flour against your skin a comforting feeling. It also brought you joy to see your hard work enjoyed and bringing people happiness, it made you content to know you were filling their bellies.

“There you are, bonnie, little lamb” a voice pulled you out of your wandering thoughts.

Bright blue eyes and sharp teeth stared back at you as you found the owner of the voice amongst the patrons of your stall. His hair was unusual but kempt, slicked back slightly to keep strays from flying about and his voice was smooth and had a lilt that you couldn’t place.

“Sorry, have we met?” You smiled politely at the man while handing another customer their change for the pie they had purchased.

“In another life” he replied as he watched you carefully, three other men appearing beside him out of seemingly thin air.

This is still just an idea not a fanfiction but adding more to this

Ghost sat in awkward silence next to Price while they waited for Soap to finish. Ghost couldn't bring himself to say anything or even look up from the floor until the silence was finally broken as Price let out a deep sigh. "If he doesn't pass this psych eval you know I'm going to beat the shit out of you right? I swear if I have to put him on leave because you cheated on him I'll make sure you fucking regret it." Ghost shifted uncomfortably in his seat at price's words.

"I didn't know..."

"didn't know what? That he would pull a gun out on you? Neither did I but here we fucking are." Price stood up "I'm going to go smoke." he said before leaving, a cigar already in his hands. An onlooker might have mistaken Price for a tired dad with the way he was acting.

Ghost sat there hoping Soap didn't come out while he was alone but of course he would never be that Lucky. As if the universe could read his thoughts Soap walked out. He looked at Ghost with nothing but Disgust.

"Where is price?"

"He stepped out for a cigarette."

" and why are you still here?"

Why was Ghost still here? Yeah he cared about Soap but it wasn't like he was the one in love with him. He couldn't help but feel like he had to. As if he still had the lingering of the other Ghost's emotions. Maybe he should come clean? Admit that he wasn't His Ghost. God, he'd sound Crazy. He's causing more damage by lying though.

It took a lot of convincing but Soap was eventually convinced to hear Ghost out. As he sits beside the person his boyfriend cheated on him with he starts to regret it.

"Why the fuck is the whore here?"

"I'm not a fucking whore"

"really because from what I hear you can't stop sleeping with taken people. Isn't that how you ended up a single father?"

Gary looked like he was going to punch Soap and soap looked the exact same way. Ghost made a desperate attempt to calm Soap down. Like how Ghost did to Gary he spilled his Guts to Soap. Telling him literally everything. Soap laughed in response"God, what fucking bullshit!".
