• Thomas hewitt (dating)- So Reader knows Thomas like we were born in the same town or were neighbors something of the sorts. And we hear rumors about how the Hewitt family are murders,/cannibals. But we remind our business cause we're like, nah cause they didn't hurt me or I haven't seen anything, They're just a little quirky, We defend their family. But for some reason Luda tells us not to go in the basement, We're like okay, whatever it's not my business. Reader is like a, 'idc not my business type.' Until one day reader hears noises or something, so we get curiousand go down there. But this is where we enter the angst, Cause Thomas or someone hears movement in the basement and thinks a victim is trying to escape. So they do something to us which makes us scared of them (torture or something) and it can end with like fluff or something, Because im pretty sure reader would forgive them.
Thomas Hewitt x reader, who knew out he's a cannibal and murderer

Texas was your home, you loved everything about it, from the picturesque meadows filled with yellow buttercups to the dusty city road. These beautiful orange and scarlet sunsets and golden sunrises reflected in a small lake fifteen minutes walk from your house looked like the most real picturesque paintings. It was hot and humid during the day, and cool enough at night. The air was filled with dust and dry grass. Birds were rustling in the distance.
You liked everything here, because you grew up in this place. Your parents moved to Texas before you were born, so this was the only place you'd ever seen in your life. But it was heaven for you. The city you lived in was relatively small, so everyone knew each other.
You've always been sweet and kind, perhaps even a naive child with a soul too pure for this world. Maybe that's why all the neighbors in the neighborhood loved you. The children played with you, and the kind grandmothers often treated you to sweets or pies. Your face has always been decorated with a satisfied smile and cookie crumbs.
Everyone was surprised when they found out about your friendship with the "strange boy". His name was Thomas, he was one of your neighbors down the road. You called him Tommy. His face was covered with a decent layer of bandages, which he kept awkwardly adjusting with his small hands. You always giggled with that cute gesture, but not out of malice, but in a kind way. After that, you went up to him and gently helped him cope with his little problem. You combed his hair and put his hands in order. The boy always had short-cropped nails with dirt under them and dry palms, probably from housework. But apart from his oddities and inability to talk, and he was quite an ordinary child.
Almost.
Sometimes you'd find him somewhere in the backyard or in the field. He stood there, deep in thought. Next to him, you noticed a small fluffy body and a crimson puddle. Sometimes you were scared of his violence against animals, but Thomas was always in a hurry to calm you down. He caressed your cheek and explained with gestures that he had only found the animal just like that. And you always believed him out of your stupid childish naivety. Time passed, and you got closer. The Hewitt family has always been kind to you. Sometimes, they were even more attentive and caring towards you than your own parents. Even grumpy Charlie. Sometimes a man intervened in disputes if you were molested by local hooligans. He could even punch them in their pretty faces, as long as they didn't touch you, the little girl of this family. Luda has always wanted a daughter, and now you have appeared. The woman was more than happy when she found out how close you are with her son. That's why it was no secret that you and Tommy were dating. On the contrary, Luda helped Thomas in every possible way to impress you, she helped him make gifts for you and told him how to take care of the girls. Charlie just turned on his adult film cassettes, that's all his support.
You really loved each other. You were the only one who really understood and cared about Tommy, despite his appearance. You loved his long dark hair, which you often so gently washed and combed. You loved those frosty blue eyes, like two big deep lakes full of love for you. You loved his masks, and tenderly kissed every scar on Thomas's face and hands. You were perfect. Tommy's heart belonged entirely to you.
And now you're 24. Thomas was a little older, but it was never a problem. The man was still very attentive and caring.
But gradually the city emptied with the closure of the slaughterhouse. It was a big blow for most of the residents of the city, because there were no other ways to earn money here. You turned out to be one of the few who stayed. Maybe you just didn't want to leave your home. Or maybe you didn't want to leave Thomas and his family. Anyway, it wasn't easy for all of you, at least because basically there wasn't a lot of food and all that.
But after a while, surprisingly, everything got better. Not really, of course, but old Charlie started getting meat from somewhere. It wasn't as tender as some beef used to be, but it's better than nothing. Although you weren't a big fan of meat before, so you almost didn't care about it. You helped Luda in her shop at the gas station, and at home in your free time you even grew some vegetables, which also helped the Hewitt family a lot. In general, everything was more than good, and yet, the atmosphere in the house was different now.
There have always been some strange rumors around the Hewitt family, sometimes even terrible ones. And yet, you loved Tommy no matter what. The whole family was kind to you, so you had no reason to doubt them, right? Thomas has always been nice to you. You often walked on cool evenings, just holding hands. You were talking about your day, and he just listened with a smile on his lips. You were the only person he trusted and loved. The guy liked your voice, your way of talking and your laugh. Undoubtedly, in his eyes you were damn beautiful, but it seemed that he was forever looking through your appearance, into your very soul. It was so sweet. You couldn't help but fall in love with him even more.
You were in the kitchen at the Hewitt house making a pumpkin pie. Luda has always been surprised by your wonderful cooking skills, so she wasn't afraid to leave you alone. He needed to go back to the store for a while, where Hoyt had taken her. So you're left alone. Humming to yourself, you swayed your hips to the beat of your made-up song. It's good that no one was watching you now and you could do anything. Finally, you put the pie in the oven and wiped your hands on the fabric of your apron with a victorious smile. After removing all the ingredients and washing the dishes, you sat down on a chair and just began to wait. Hundreds of different thoughts flashed through your head, from this very pie to the little ring you noticed in Tommy's room. You were filled with excitement, which made you happily bite your lip. Could it be...?
Your thoughts were interrupted by some kind of thud from somewhere below. Your body instantly tensed up. It was scary to hear something like that when you were alone at home.
You slowly got up from your chair. The sound seemed to come from the basement. But you clearly remembered that Luda, and the rest of the Hewitt family, told you not to go into the basement under any circumstances. It's strange, isn't it? Of course, you always followed this strange rule, but now that you were alone at home, you were scared of what might be there. You didn't find any better options than just going down to the basement and taking a peek. You're fast, no one will notice. What can happen?
The floorboards creaked unpleasantly under your careful steps. The unpleasantly cold water has touched your ankles.
Your eyes widened in horror, and you covered your mouth in fear. There was a man sitting at the other end of the basement, although he could hardly be called such anymore. His face was disfigured, and his arm and part of his leg were missing. His whole body was covered in scarlet blood. The victim's mouth was gagged and his eyes were painfully closed. There was an old bucket lying nearby. So that's what it was... The man was chained to the wall, and there was a massive hole from a meat hook on his shoulder.
"God.." the only thing that came out of your mouth was when you slowly backed away. My mouth was dry, and an unpleasant feeling of nausea was slowly rising in my stomach. Tears welled up at the corners of her eyes.
You took one hesitant step, then another. Finally, your back hit something massive. In the blink of an eye, a huge hand was placed on your mouth, and then darkness.
Thomas's mind was racing. You've seen their secret. Are you afraid now? Of course you're afraid. The moment he found you in the basement, your body was shaking in fear and your eyes were full of horror. But it's all for the family, you have to understand. Sure, Hoyt said to kill anyone who found out about their family secret, but Thomas couldn't kill you. You were his happiness, his light in life, his beloved. Therefore, he gently picked up your unconscious body in his arms, protectively hugging it to himself. It's just a misunderstanding, isn't it? Thomas left the basement, closing the metal door behind him, and headed for his bedroom. He put you on the bed, trying to make sure that you would be comfortable. You should get some sleep, then you can understand him. It's all for the family, for you. He wanted so much to see you as his little wife, to protect you and your possible children, he wanted it so much. But now his dreams were more fragile than ever.
You woke up in a dark room. It must have been Tommy's bedroom, judging by the big bed. You slowly sat up in bed, feeling a dull ache in your head. After a couple of moments, these horrible images of a corpse in the basement popped up in your head. You instantly wanted to empty your stomach. You put your hand over your mouth, feeling hot tears on your cheeks. Your head was throbbing painfully, and nothing came out of your chest except a long-drawn-out cheekbone. You slid down the bed to the floor, pressing your back against the wall in the corner of the room. Your body was shaking in terror, and your mind was full of vile, terrifying thoughts. I wanted to scream, but it felt like your tongue had been ripped out. You covered your head with your hands, tucking your knees in. You need to get out of here, run. Away from this house, away from this city, away from these people.
Your mental reverie was interrupted by the sudden creak of the door. The dark room was slightly illuminated by warm light from the corridor, the doorway was soon blocked by a tall bulky figure. You instinctively cringed, afraid of the consequences.
Thomas's heart ached as he watched you crawl away from him in fear. As his victims. He carefully closed the door and slowly approached you. You looked like a cornered animal. Thomas didn't like that feeling. He gently grabbed your hand, pulling you onto his lap. You resisted and tried to break free, your mind was racing wildly. But he didn't stop. He took you on his lap, holding you gently against his strong chest. You struggled and cried, afraid that you would be hurt. Thomas felt like his whole world was collapsing seeing you like this. You pounded his chest with your hands, muttering some words, but he wouldn't let go, Thomas just held you closer to him, stroking your back and trying to calm you down. You were afraid of him. It was like that.. wrong.
Finally, you were exhausted, hanging limply in his arms. Your head is on his chest, and only long sobs come out of your mouth. Thomas kisses you briefly on the forehead.
"No harm.." He mutters in a rough voice. He rarely talked, but it seemed like the best option right now, "..love Y/N."
You didn't answer. Your head ached, and your mind was empty, the animal fear in your body gradually subsided, replaced by fatigue. You fell asleep in his arms. Thomas sat there with you all night, afraid that something might happen to you.
In the days that followed, he took care of you and tried in every possible way to show that he would not harm you in any way. He'd rather kill himself if he hurt you. Thomas came into the room and fed you with a spoon. At first you refused and resisted in every possible way, but gradually, because of hunger, you simply did not have the strength left. Thomas brought you something that didn't have meat in it, he knew that meat could upset you. Stewed vegetables, your pumpkin pie, some snacks. Thomas wouldn't let anyone into this room, not even his mom. He had to make sure you were going to be okay. You are his sun, his reason to live.
Over time, it seemed that you had thawed out. It wasn't like you were completely resigned to the fact that the Hewitts were murderers and cannibals. But you realized they wouldn't hurt you, Tommy wouldn't let you. He explained to you that it's for survival. In a way, you realized that this was just the only way out, and yet it was still disgusting and disgusting for you. But Thomas didn't do it because he likes it. He did it for the sake of the family, protected it and fed it. It's necessary.
After a while, you even left the room, although you no longer looked towards the basement. Gradually, everything returned to normal. You even started living at the Hewitt house, Monty made sure to bring all your stuff here. You became the second mistress of Hewitt, Tommy's wife. He finally put the ring on your finger, and you realized all his warm love for you. Luda was glad that her boy had really found his happiness. Now you were sleeping together, giving each other love. You even went down to the basement if Thomas forgot to eat. Ignoring the screams of another victim, you placed the food tray on Thomas's workbench and gently touched his shoulder. The man turned around and wrapped you in a hot kiss. You had a strange feeling when you kissed so strangely to the screams of desperate victims. But it didn't matter. At that moment, it was just you and him, your husband Tommy.

"worthless girl," you hear your father say as he smacked down the scrolls onto the floor, "the most you can do for this family is to not be fucking useless and accept this marriage. but since you aren't listening, we will still go through it anyway."
but that wasn't surprising. your family was known to do things to and for you without your consent. this marriage? this arranged marriage? you didn't know about it until you woke up this morning, and apparently this had been planned for months now. you didn't know who you were getting married to, but according to your siblings (that also loathed you as the rest), you were getting married to a military leader.
you were the eldest child of the l/n family, and every first born child was expected to at least be married in their early ages, but if the child fails to meet that traditional requirement, then they would be forced into an arranged marriage.
in truth, you didn't trust anyone. you didn't go out as often, you didn't know a lot of men. you didn't trust any men. you weren't fearful, but with how the world is, you just couldn't trust anyone. and now here you are, forcing to sign your life away to a man you've never met. a man you will hate.
you were a quiet child. despite being the oldest, your younger siblings were treated with respect, love and care...because they seemed to be more talented than you. however, because you were the oldest, you were easy to get rid of. then again, your family wanted to get rid of you from the beginning. it was to the point where your father had practically brainwashed your siblings to dislike you. ultimately for no reason, too. but you just went with it. you were used to this treatment. why haven't you died sooner? you should've been successful in your past attempts.
"dear," you hear your mother call out to your father, "general jing yuan is here."
"ah, brilliant. we can get rid of this useless little girl once and for all." your father replied as he stood up.
as your father left the scene to greet your unknown fiance, you stared yourself at the mirror. you wore a crimson cheongsam, and some decorative ornaments that covered your visage. you sat there, solemn and dull, unable to truly feel anything. you...didn't feel beautiful, even though the house servants of your home had pampered you up enough to look..."decent" and "pleasing" enough to the eye. you just didn't see the beauty in you. you always thought of yourself as useless. ugly. worthless. and now here you are, still looking the same as you were being sent off to spend the rest of your life with some man you never met.
"y/n." a house servant enters your room, bowing formally. "it's time."
slowly, you got up, silently making your way to follow the servant to where the private wedding would take place. you walked past your younger siblings who followed their gaze with you, ultimately disappointed in you, and ready to get rid of their older sibling from the rest of their lives. they will never see you again. and you will never see any of these filthy relatives ever again. that was the best part, at least.
entering the room, you were greeted with the sight of an unfamiliar man who has his back turned towards you. his silver, fluffy hair held up, the government official who officiates your marriage, and your cruel parents to witness your marriage.
you didn't even dare to look at the general. you didn't care. you just wanted to die as quickly as possible. a part of you had hoped that he was kind enough to kill you the same day the both of you wed...so you didn't have to live in this world anymore where you were always hurt. always distrusting others. always meant to be a failure.
the general stole a look at you, however, but he didn't say anything. he patiently listened to the officiate's words, and replied with an, "i do". and you did the same, but your voice was quiet. delicate. precious. like a flower that was stomped on repeatedly, barely able to survive. wedding vows and other wedding-related stuff later, you were finally sent off to be escorted by jing yuan, his lieutenant yanqing, off into his home to live in forever.
standing before you was the sanctum, and you came here by a fancy carriage. the city was in celebration due to the general's wedding. others were happy, and you were the only person who...just didn't seem excited.
"y/n," you hear the general speak to you in a loving voice. dangerous, you thought. it's a lie. it's a fake. he's just acting sweet because he's your husband. behind closed doors, he'll... "we're here."
extending a hand towards you, he caught you flinching. you had thought that the general would hit you, or harm you in some way...but opening your eyes, you see that he merely wanted to hold your hand to escort you out of the carriage. slowly, you nod, taking his hand. shaking. you were afraid, but you tried not to show it.
unbeknownst to you, both yanqing and jing yuan made eye contact with each other briefly after you had flinched.
jing yuan carefully escorted you out of the carriage, and slowly wrapped his arm around your shoulder as he gave a wave towards his people. yanqing was nearby, and another made her appearance.
"ah, fu xuan," jing yuan greeted, "has everything been complete?"
"yeah," fu xuan replied, "lunch has been set up, as well as everything else. i made sure to give you extra dessert this time since you kept complaining last time." a roll of the diviner's eyes, earning a heart-filled laugh from the general. "congratulations on your wedding anyway. and ma'am... miss y/n." a formal bow. "i am fu xuan. master diviner of the divination commission, at your service. please do not hesitate to call for me if you need any assistance."
"haha! thank you, fu xuan."
you were silent, still. you didn't even respond. your eyes remain downwards, staring into nothingness below you. fu xuan looked at yanqing, then to jing yuan, who had nodded slowly. fu xuan nodded, as though they were communicating with each other in silence. then, the master diviner left, leaving you and your husband to enter the sanctum.
upon entering, you were greeted with more of his assistants and servants, which you didn't even bother to care about. you just wanted to disappear. you just wanted to⸻
"y/n." you hear the general's voice. "i hope everything has been to your liking so far. there will be a lunch that has been prepared for us this afternoon to celebrate. would you like some warm tea before hand?"
you paused for a moment as he looked down towards you. you were unable to look at him, but you would want some tea...only due to the fact your hands were cold. you wanted to hold a cup of hot tea to warm them up. "...⸻⸻yes."
it mustered everything for you to respond. god, you felt so weak. you were so delicate. jing yuan smiled softly at you, slowly reaching towards your hands...before stopping.
"...may i hold your hand, y/n?"
you pause, looking at his own hands which were close to yours. you were scared. you were hesitant. but... you were getting cold due to your anxiety.
"..." you nodded slowly, as he took your hands in his.
god, they were warm. they were...soft. they were rough due to the fact he's been in many battles, and they were...large. surprisingly enough, you felt...so safe. jing yuan felt your hands relax in his, earning him a rewarding smile for himself. "let's prepare some tea together. do you happen to favor jasmine?"
your eyes sparkled for a bit. yes, jasmine was your favorite. you loved jasmine tea. it was one of the few comfort teas that you would drink to calm yourself. this time, you displayed a bit of expression as you nodded. "y...yes. jasmine tea is actually my favorite."
"aah, is that so?" jing yuan chuckled, "it is one of my favorite as well. i'll be sure to brew it properly so you can a strong flavor. our tea has been harvested from the best of the best, after all."
you looked down, a bit excited. but you were afraid that if you showed any sort of emotion...you would get hit. but you kept your gaze low to your feet, not wanting to look...
then, jing yuan escorted you to the patio outside, which you were greeted by the sight of the beauty of xianzhou luofu. you could see the sky...you could see the birds flying. for the first time, you felt so...free. but you were unsure.
your husband escorted you to your seat, then right after, he began to brew the tea before you. you watched carefully, seeing everything that he did...and giving you the opportunity to actually give the general a look. he...was beautiful. his silver hair, his golden eyes... he seemed so trusting. he was beautiful. too beautiful. and you were married to him.
god, he must be in love with someone else. he was cheating on you, you bet. he was just here to follow traditions, you bet. there must be another woman involved. you weren't the only one, you thought. there had to be⸻
"y/n?"
you snap back to reality as your eyes look up to meet jing yuan's. the look on his face...the look of sincerity. a gentle look. god, he was so beautiful. and his eyes looked so...soft. he tilted his head, his smile tugging at his lips as he looked at you with a bit of concern.
disgusting.
"are you alright?"
your eyes soften a bit, gaze returning to fixate on the jasmine tea that he had poured for you already.
"you haven't touched your tea, yet. is something the matter? do you believe i have poisoned it? i can drink it for you, if you'd like."
you shake your head. "n-no, it's alright. i just...spaced out."
it didn't matter if it was poisoned. it would be another way to go out.
you pick up the cup of tea, bringing it up to your lips, tasting the warmth of the jasmine-induced tea and...
ah.
your eyes bright up. your cheeks paint themselves with a soft, crimson color. it was...sublime. the taste of the tea was perfect. it was amongst the best...no, it was the best jasmine tea you've ever tasted. it was...perfect. it was amazing.
you could see jing yuan smiling as well, seeing that he was very observant to your behavior and to what you liked, disliked...and what made you fear the most.
"it's...it's really good," you murmur, "i enjoy it. a-alot. th...thank you."
jing yuan's smile widened. "of course. anything to make my wife happy, after all."
happy...happy?
what a strange man.
to fixate on one's happiness⸻yours, especially. was this an obligation, or just something he wanted to do willy-nilly? you were unsure, but for whatever the future holds for the both of you...you hoped that it would make you disappear soon.
but, truth to be told, the future that was promised for you was no danger, neither was it truly a tunnel of neverending darkness.
unbeknownst to you, you were free. and you were going to be happy.
and jing yuan will make sure of it.

3.102 Negotiations
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I thought about the whole money tree argument all night, and while I understood Sophia's concerns, it still didn't sit well with me. Dub's words from his note echoed in my head. "Financial freedom to pursue your dreams," he said. I knew she preferred to live a simple life, but didn't she have bigger dreams than just being married to me and raising our children? I heard the TV on, so I got up to address the topic again. My goal wasn't to change her mind—though I hoped she would—but to present my case coherently. I was blinded by the simoleons I didn't even have yet and failed to put a counteroffer on the table. If she could hear my thoughts, maybe she could see it in a different light.
"Good morning," I said.
"Have you ever seen this show? It's so fun!"
Tumblr media
"Uhh...no. Can we talk?"
"Of course," she said, turning off the TV. "What's on your mind so early?"
"I want to revisit the money tree situation."
"Okay. Sure."
"You presented your reasons for limiting its use, but I don't think I did a good job explaining why I think we shouldn't, and I'd like you to hear what I think."
"Okay," she said slowly. "So, what's up?"
"You said it would be an insult to return the gift, but I think it would be an insult to ignore Dub's wishes."
Tumblr media
Her eyebrow went up a little bit, but she was still tracking with me, so I went on.
"I understand your hesitation, but we don't have to let the money change anything about us. We can be ourselves, but with peace of mind and more opportunities. I think maybe your childhood is influencing how you're seeing this, but so is mine. I'm gonna tell you a different part of my story so you can see where I'm coming from."
"Sure."
"Okay..."
I took a deep breath and hoped my story would work some magic.
"You've been around my parents enough to know my mom is the one with the money."
"Yeah. That's obvious."
"Right. She spoiled us...she still does, heh. But we weren't spoiled brats. We had everything we needed, and a few things we wanted, but we didn't live extravagantly. We went to public school, wore regular clothes, and lived in a middle class neighborhood. For a long time, my mom had an office job. And even now, she still works her candle business. We weren't rich by any means. We were comfortable. I know this because when we went to my dad's house, it was not comfortable. He came home tired every day and didn't have the energy to spend time with us. He never took us anywhere, and there was nothing to do at his house-"
"But that's not what-"
"Wait. Let me finish. I haven't made my point yet."
"Okay. Sorry."
Tumblr media
"My grandparents bought my mom a little house and gave her a chunk of money when she moved out so she could have peace of mind and time to explore the world and figure out what she wanted to do without the pressure of bills and working a job she hated."
Sophia nodded and smiled, giving me hope that my story already inspired her to change her mind.
"When we moved out, she did the same thing for us…except for the house, of course. It wasn't a ton of money, but I could have gotten a cheap apartment if I wanted to."
"Or a tiny house," she said, gesturing vaguely.
"Ha! Yeah, I could have afforded this. She's still taking care of us. I keep telling her she doesn't need to keep doing things for us, but all she says is when I have a child, I'll understand."
Sophia nodded.
"Yeah...I remember hearing her say that in Tartosa."
"Yeah... I may not have a child yet, but I do want to give it every opportunity I had and then some. I don't want it to worry and feel how we felt at my dad's house."
"I get that. I don't want that either."
"And what you said about your parents. They were older when they adopted you because it took forever to save the money. If we want to send off our children with a little something, we have to start saving now. We can't wait until a week before they're gone to start harvesting the tree. Maybe we don't take from it every day. Maybe just once or twice a week, or whenever we think about it. But just leaving the tree alone until we need it? That's not gonna give our children the kind of future I want them to have. I want to continue what my grandparents started. I don't think we should waste this opportunity."
Tumblr media
She sat there, nodding and staring at me like she didn't realize I was done. But then she turned away, stared at the floor, and sighed.
"Wow... Your family history is filled with so much love and support."
I grabbed her hands, hoping to seal the deal and provide a little comfort.
"Yes. And you're part of that family now. I just want to continue the cycle. That's all. I don't want to start wearing labels and buy a big house in Del Sol. I just want to spend time with my family without consequence."
"I can't argue with that. I'm still not letting you give up on yoga, though."
I laughed. "I didn't expect you would."
Tumblr media
"And to be clear," I continued, "I'm not gonna give up. I just don't want to be in a position where I'm still hustling and missing everything going on at home. You'll be here, so I know everything will be fine, but I want to be here too. I want our children to have all the benefits of living in a two-parent house."
"That's beautiful, Luca. I see the whole picture now. I've just decided I'm definitely not to going back to work."
I beamed at her.
"Really?? That's awesome! I love that for you."
"So, what do you think you'll do?"
"I don't know yet. I don't want to give up on teaching just yet, but I'll probably spend more time on SimTube. I have time to figure it out, though. Speaking of the hustle...I gotta go. I love you, Sophia. I love our life, and I can't wait to see how it turns out."
"I love you more!"

Helpless part 38, devil's roll the dice, angels roll their eyes
Nico turned for the hundredth time, he checked the clock, 01:53am. He still hadn't been able to get to sleep, he stared out the window until he noticed a figure standing outside the infirmary. The doors weren't locked, he wasn't sure why but he walked outside trying to see who would be standing outside side the infirmary, by the look of it smoking at almost two in the morning. As he edged closer, still remaining perfectly silent he realised it was Will, he crept up behind him, not believing his eyes. As he got closer he realised he was crying, he sank to the floor as he brought the cigarette back to his lips, breathing the smoke in and out.
"Will, are you okay?" He said sitting down next to him,
"Neeks? What are you doing out here?"
"Couldn't sleep, saw someone outside. Will what happened?" Nico said, grasping his hand,
"Lost a patient today, she was barely seven. Isla Brown, I thought she was doing better, she said she was feeling fine, everything seemed normal, we were doing hourly check ups, she was fine at seven, then we walked in at eight and she had no pulse, she never said anything about being in pain, and we tried to bring her back but it- it didn't work. We never even found out her godly parent, I think she was an Athena kid though, she was crazy smart especially for her age."
"I'm so sorry."
"I should have been able to save her."
"You can't prevent every death, it's part of how the world work."
"But she was so young."
"I know, the world in cruel that way."
"It's my fault, I should have noticed I-"
"Noticed what? Something you still can't figure out?"
"I should have run extra tests I-"
"William. It isn't your fault, there was nothing you could do. She's happy, she's in Elysium, I can sense it, and she doesn't blame you."
"But-"
"Shh, you said you could glow in the dark, can you show me?" A faint light started to appears from around him, growing brighter quickly.
"I can go brighter but I don't want to get anyones attention."
"That's so cool, why don't you show it off more?"
"I have the most boring powers, what's glowing in comparison to having perfect aim with a bow."
"Anyone with enough practice can learn to shoot a bow and arrow, don't think anyone can just try and suddenly glow in the dark." Will half smiled
"I guess." Nico glanced down, the light had revealed a scar on his forearm, he didn't want to panic but as he slowly turning his arm around more and more scars and cuts revealed themselves, most didn't look that old and they all looked very much self inflicted. How the Hades had he not noticed before? He thought back to every time he'd seen Will, he was always wearing a hoodie or some other sort of long sleeves. Fuck, he started to panic but managed to keep his expression calm, he knew he needed to say something but what the fuck was he going to say?
"I guess you think I'm a hypocrite now?"
"What?"
"Telling you to quit drugs and smoking yet here I am."
"Why haven't you gotten help?" Nico asked, being careful around the subject, he wasn't exactly sure how Will would react and was trying desperately to not make him mad.
"I'm not worth it, even if I was I don't have the time for it."
"Wil-"
"I've never been on a quest and I can't fight to save my life, I'm not worth helping."
"Without you all of camp would be dead."
"Clearly I'm not doing too good of a job, I've lost so many patients, more than Michael ever did."
"Two wars have happened, obviously more people are going to die after a war."
"He would ha-"
"No. No he couldn't, Will sometimes people die no matter what you do. If the fates decide it you can't save them, sometimes people are too close to death and no matter what you do you can't save them." He pulled him closer, pressing his lips to the taller boy's. "Everyone's worth saving Will, you told me that, so apply it to yourself." Nico ran his finger over Will's cuts, "And please, please tell me if you ever want to hurt yourself again. William, you're one of the nicest people I know, you care for people even if you know nothing about them, I've never even seen you get mad at someone, everyone would miss you."
"You haven't seen every part of me, you don't know how many people I've hurt. I hate myself."
"Will, you can't be perfect. Nobody's perfect, everyone has different sides. You're only human."
"But I hurt them, I was trying to hurt them and I did."
"What are you even talking about?" He said, pulling the cigarette out of his boyfriend's hand and taking a breath before getting rid of it, he knew he wasn't meant to but he needed it.
"When I first came out, people started to say stuff, it made me hate myself but I wouldn't fight them. That- that was until one time a group of Demeter kids were beating the living shit out of Kayla for being les so I... I sort of fought them... I broke a few jaws and arms until Annabeth stopped me. I don't regret it but- I shouldn't have hurt them, I'm a fucking healer I'm not meant to fucking hurt people."
"You did the right thing."
"I should have called it down, not made it worse."
"You stood up for your sister, that's nothing to feel bad for."
"I still shouldn't have hurt them."
"I would have killed them, you're did a lot better than I would have."
"I'm a fucking healer, and that wasn't the only time."
"You're a person, you're whole life isn't your power, you are a living, breathing, human being who sometimes does things that aren't perfect. I don't know who told you otherwise, tell me who hurt you, and let me make life hell for them."
"Don't do that, they don't deserve it."
"Look me straight in the face and tell me you wouldn't do the same if someone was in your position."
"I- but- they-"
"Will, you deserve to be happy just as much as everyone else, I don't know why you don't believe that."
"My own blood doesn't want me."
"What would you say if Leo said that?"
"But that's different, he's brave and smart and a genuinely amazing person. He's fought and his life's been hard, he's had to work so hard for everything."
"Apply that to yourself."
"I'm worthless, no one fucking wants me, not just my family."
"I want you. Will I want you and I love you no matter how much you hate yourself I will always love you."
"You'll get tired of me soon enough, they always do."
"I swear I won't, I swear on the river of Styx I will never stop loving you William."
"Why would yo-" His sentence was interrupted by a kiss, Nico wrapped his hands around his neck, Will smelt like smoke and strawberries, he was warm even in the cold night. He wiped a tear from his eyes,
"Just being honest, come on Sunshine." He whispered, pulling him up, they walked with each other inside the infirmary.
"Will, can you stay?"
"Course Neeks." He started to walk towards the chair
"Sleep, you need it." Will wanted to protest but his tiredness got the better of him so he slipped inside the bed next the the raven haired boy, kissing him on the forehead before they both fell asleep.

Hey not the same anon but I saw the Cliff HCS and was curious if you had any more thoughts on the possible little sibling for cove you mentioned in the first ones. I’d imagine it would definitely be an unplanned ordeal with how I see Cliff at least(obviously okay if you see differently! But the guy just had his own little guy grow up and leave the nest so I can’t see baby 2: electric bungaloo being planned) but I just have this image in my head of both Cliff and (his ofc)MC freaking out because they think MC is dying, rushing to the hospital and getting back a “not dying, just pregnant” and both of them going “oh. OH!” (1/2)
This was a two-parter! Here's the rest:
But yeah! Plus only-child-turned-big-brother Cove is such a fun concept to because while there’s probably a lot of emotions™️ there, I just know he cries the first time he holds the nugget. (Also Canon!MC whether dating Cove or not is honorary big sibling as well). But to wrap it up whether you have any ideas or hcs for this idea yourself(absolutely okay if you don’t ofc!) I love the whole dynamic of Cliff’s MC and I hope you have super fun with writing whatever it is you do next!
-- Thank you friend, I will have so much fun! And I have so many thoughts about Cliff doing all the things!
-- So honestly I could see it going either way. By the time Cove turns 18 and moves out, Cliff isn't even 40 yet, he's active and healthy and being a dad is his favorite thing ever, so I could see him planning a second child with you, after he's sure Cove wouldn't be upset by the idea.
-- Some parents would be like "My child is grown now, I am living my own life and if they don't like it then that is sad but I have to live for myself, even if it upsets them." And that is just not Cliff.
-- But Cove wouldn't mind either, it wouldn't have to be some big ordeal. He loves his dad and wants him to be happy, and he knows you make him happy, and it might be fun to have a little sibling, even if they're going to be a very very little to him.
-- Cliff is going to really like the process of trying for a baby. Sorry but it's true, do whatever you want with that.
-- He'd be really active in tracking your ovulation, mapping out the best times to try, all that. And boy does he have a can-do attitude!
-- When you do get pregnant, what a gift you have given him. He is going to be over the moon. He already takes care you you like nobody's business, but you haven't seen anything yet.
-- But a surprise pregnancy is always fun (in fiction lol, be safe out there)! Once he figured out where you were with it, he would also be on cloud nine, pleased as punch, so on and so forth. Because sure, it is a little wild to raise a whole entire person from the time they are born until the time they are an adult then turn around and repeat the process entirely like that, but he's more than up for it.
-- He knows the baby is going to be their own person, and he'd never try to use them as some sort of redemption for himself. But he is still determined to not repeat his old mistakes. He will communicate with you about everything, you will make every important decision together, a team 100%.
-- Cliff is an absolute dreamboat and it's a shame that we don't talk about it more. We're a small enough fandom that we could be having regular meetings to address issues like this.
-- He goes with you to an ultrasound and you're told that the baby is measuring weeks ahead and is going to be a big baby! Cliff is smug. Also hopeful that this one won't outgrow him like Cove did. He likes being a big boy.
-- And then what if the baby comes out tan with blonde hair looking just like him, what about that.
-- Cliff with a newborn is crazy. He is running on fumes but you'd never know it because he's just so damn happy. You know those dads who never change a diaper or insist on not waking up in the night because they need their rest for work. Could NEVER be Cliff.
-- Cove comes to visit at the hospital after the baby is born, he's not really sure how it will feel and he's been a little detached during the pregnancy, not out of any kind of meanness, just because he can't really grasp at that point what this means for his life, you know? But when he meets the baby for the first time, maybe they have a feature or two of his, some kind of familial resemblance, and THAT'S HIS LITTLE BROTHER/SISTER. He's a big brother. Thoughts racing, tears flowing, utter joy unlocked.
-- He is going to be the best big brother the world has ever seen, he is determined. He asks Derek for advice. He researches how to take care of babies. He wants to babysit! So many presents for the baby. So many plans made for every stage of baby's life. Cove is talking to his MC about them renewing their wedding vows one day and if he should ask Cliff to be his best man again or ask the new baby, and MC is like "........"
-- Kyra is involved, that's her baby's baby sibling and she is so happy for Cliff she can't stand it. You have to be cool with Kyra to be with Cliff too, that's a rule, but it's not like it'll be hard.
-- I said this in another one, but it's going to be really important for Cliff to keep the house in Sunset Bird if at all possible. That's where Cove did most of his growing up, and he knows it would be hard on him to lose it. Cove would be totally fine with giving up his old room that he's not ever going to use again for his new baby sibling.
-- Living by the beach, his best friends across the street, his oldest child living nearby and his baby safe in his arms, and you, the love of his life, by his side through all of it. What a life Cliff has.

Mischief and Angel- Part 10
Tumblr media
"Let me get this right, not only are Gerard and Kate back, but this child, this random child that just so happens to look like a perfect mix of both of you, showed up and then forged a parental bond with both of you? Not only that, but her birthdate lines up with the baby you miscarried and she's practically named after Claudia?"
I nod as my hand tightens around Stiles, "Yeah, pretty much sums it all up."
I'm met with a blank stare before Mom turns to her right to look at Noah, "You have any questions, Noah?"
Noah scratches his chin and leans back in his recliner, "I have multiple, but I'm not shocked about Gerard and Kate, nor am I shocked about the parental bond thing, I'm shocked that Y/n went through a miscarriage, and we had no idea."
I look down at my socks as Stiles moves his hand to rub small circles on my thigh as he more than likely glares at his dad, "Dad, can we not with this right now, or ever? You don't understand the pain she feels every time the baby we lost is directly brought up."
I glance up to see Noah and Mom frown as they look at me before Mom nods, "Okay, I'm sorry Sweetheart, we won't mention it again. At least we'll try not to."
Noah nods in agreement before Mom's face breaks into a wide grin as she moves to the edge of her seat, "So, when do I get to meet my granddaughter?"
At the mention of Lola I perk up and smile before standing from the couch, "Right now, I'll go and get her from Amelia."
-------------------------------------------------------
I close the basement door behind me as I walk towards the living room and Lola happily flings her little rabbit around until she sees Stiles. As soon as they make eye contact she screeches out a happy little sound and flings her rabbit, successfully smacking me in the face before I save it from falling onto the floor. I chuckle as she holds her hands out in Stiles' direction, "I think she has a favorite."
When I get to Stiles, Lola practically swan dives from my arms and into Stiles' awaiting arms. He wraps his arms around her as she babbles nonsense as if she's telling the most exciting story.
Stiles' smile never drops as he watches her every move before I hear a gasp, "She looks like a carbon copy of baby Stiles."
Stiles and I look over to see Noah with slightly damp eyes and Mom with a happy little smile. I glance at Stiles before looking back at Noah, "I know, I've tried to figure out if there was a way for the pregnancy to somehow transfer or something but I haven't found anything."
"Y/n..."
I turn and look at Stiles and frown, "I know, I know what you said but Stiles, I can feel it! We're missing a huge piece of the puzzle and I can't for the life of me figure it out."
Stiles sighs as he hands Lola her bunny that had been flung across the couch, "I just don't want you to get your hopes up, Angel. I don't want you to be hurt incase we're wrong."
I suck in a breath before releasing it with a 'woosh', "We're?"
I can see Stiles mentally face palm when he realizes what he said before he nods, "Yes, we're, I had the same exact thought the second that I saw her, but I didn't say anything because I don't want you to get hurt again."
I sink onto the couch and curl into Stiles' side and placing a soft kiss on his shoulder, "I know, and I love you for trying to protect me, but I honestly think we're right, I just don't know how it happened."
After a few seconds of silence Mom stands and makes her way over as she says, "Well, since that has been dealt with, may I hold my beautiful granddaughter? I've only been waiting for this day for almost 18 years."
I snort and roll my eyes as Stiles hands Lola to Mom with a chuckle, "Be careful, she loves to pull hair and will occasionally bite."
I nod quickly at that, "Dear God yes, especially if she knows you're a werewolf. It's nothing for her to start gnawing on my shoulder when I'm holding her. I think it's a self soothing technique but she has sharp little fox teeth."
Noah's eyes flick between me and Lola before he asks, "Fox teeth? She's not a werewolf?"
I wrap my arms around Stiles' arm before humming, "Mhmm, she's a werefox, which is extremely rare. It usually only happens when one parent is a were of some kind and the other is a kitsune, or carries the gene. It's another reason I firmly believe she is somehow the baby I thought I miscarried."
Mom moves to sit back in her chair and once she's settled she nods, "Because of the nogistune?"
I let out a snarl as I tighten my hold around Stiles, "Yeah, the nogistune is gone but his spark retained some of the fox spirit, just not the evilness of it."
-------------------------------------------------------------
I laugh as Lola bites into Scott's arm with a tiny little squeak, "I told you not to take her rabbit!"
Scott hisses in pain as he tries to pry Lola off of his arm, "Leave it to you to have a kid that bites people."
I roll my eyes before making eye contact with Lola and flashing my eyes, "Let him go, Lola." She releases Scott's arm but she still looks suspicious as he hands her the bunny as a peace offering.
When she's got her little hands tightly around her bunny she looks to me and holds her arms out with a little whine. I smile as I walk over and pick her up out of Scott's arms, "It's alright Sweetheart, I want to bite Scott sometimes too. That doesn't mean we should though, it isn't nice, and he's your Uncle."
Lola blinks at me before babbling a string of unintelligible sounds but somehow I know she's complaining about Scott. I nod along before smoothing back her dark brown curls, "Yeah, I know, it was awfully rude of him to take your bunny."
Lola grunts before peaking over my shoulder and making the noise she makes when she wants something, "Ah."
I raise an eyebrow and turn around trying to figure out what she wants before I roll my eyes and start walking towards a grinning Stiles, "Yeah, yeah, lets go get Daddy, lord knows you can't survive five seconds without him."
"Da!"
I freeze mid step before looking at Stiles with wide eyes, "Did she just...?"
He nods slowly before walking over to us and peering down at Lola, "Lola, did you say Daddy?"
"Yah! Da!"
I blink again before breaking out in a wide smile, "Good job! Can you say, mama?"
She turns and blinks before looking back at Stiles, "Da. Da."
I can't help but sigh a little bit as Stiles takes her from me, "Yeah, that's Dada, or Daddy, not sure which one you're saying though."
Stiles bounces her before shooting me a small smile, "Hey, she'll be running around yelling Mama before you know it."
I press a quick kiss to his cheek before nodding, "Yeah, it's only a matter of time before she's walking, she's already standing on her own. God, it feels like we've had her for longer than a week."
"I know, I'm just glad Amelia isn't trying to fight us on custody or whatever it is that would happen."
I run a hand over Lola's hair with a soft smile, "She can't, Lola has to stay with us unless they want to deal with an unruly, temper tantrum throwing toddler until she hits five years old. Plus since we're alive and the parental bond wouldn't break unless we were, she'd run away to try and find us."
I follow Stiles back to the living room as he sits on the floor and leaning back against the couch before setting Lola down. I sink down beside him as Lola lets out a cute little squeak before dropping to all fours and crawling over to Kira. Kira smile and crouches down as she rubs Lola's cheek, "Hey there Lola, I'm Auntie Kira."
Lola smiles and giggles before turning around and crawling between every single person in the pack, including Amelia's pack. She makes her way between everyone, finally settling at Stiles and I's feet with her bunny and a couple other random toys.
As she plays Scott clears his throat, "Okay, now that everyone has met my adorable niece, we should probably figure out what the hell...sorry, heck, we're doing about Gerard and Kate."
I grab Stiles' hand and sigh knowing that there is going to be one hell of a showdown before it's all settled, hopefully with Gerard and Kate ashes on the wind.
----------------------------------------------------------------
A/n- I know this one is short but the next part is where the real fun starts so I had to end this one a little shorter than I wanted. You also figure out the rest of Lola's story soon! I hope you enjoy it and let me know what you think!

Lots of people doing HOO AUs and that sounds fun so I'm hopping on the band wagon. Starting with TLH! (Note, this would mostly be from Jason's pov, with a few chapters from Leo's and Piper's perspectives. ) Edit: I'm calling this The EagleOwl Swap, after the birds closely associated with Zeus and Athena (Also I have seen a fanart with the seven and birds associated with their godly parents, and I was inspired)
Jason wakes up confused, surrounded by his bestfriend Leo and girlfriend Piper, who he doesn't remember. Everything proceeds normally until their teacher turns into a goat and goes zoo-wee-mama, Leo falls to his death till Jason saves him and Piper acts a bit suspicious. Hmmmm.....
The chariot arrives and in it... is not Annabeth. Not Percy either. Nope. It's... Katie Gardener.
Percy and Annabeth had disappeared a few months ago, and getting a bunch of feral demigods to listen is hard if you're not popular. So all the head cabin members are tired, and Jason was apparently the lead they needed to find them, according to their local oracle. Too bad Jason has zero memories
Camp sequence ensues. Leo fits in like a fish to water, while Jason's mopping around being lonely as there's no one else in his cabin. Till he finds Piper moping a bit Piper's Life Hacks 101: If you don't fit in a grp, just pretend you do; maybe then you would find happiness in this cruel world. Jason finds the life hack to be bs, but Piper's too occupied with other things (foreshadowing) to care about being comfortable
They do the quest to save Hera and coach, and the mission is a mess. Leo is pretty much Elsa but with fire powers, Jason has found out throwing water at enemies then electrocuting them is both effective and fun, so now they have to waste time stealing water bottles from stores or else Jason would pout the entire mission, and Piper discovers Charmspeak for the first time, which makes her scary.
We have Leo trauma-dumping with a smile as he talks about the whole 'mom died in a fire thanks to this weird grass-lady' ending that convo with 'everything's fine, I'm fine' when clearly it's not, your friends can see the pain in your eyes, leo stop holding in the pain-
Piper also trauma dumps about how lonely a child of a celebrity's life is, being piled with expectations, forced to not rock the boat at all, people only sucking up to her cuz everyone knows and wants to be friends with THE Tristan Mclean's daughter, pretending to be something she's not
Which is why she and Leo are best friends, cuz boi has no clue what Hollywood is in the first place, (look he had been running for half his life, cut him some slack) and she finds his jokes funny. (the first)
Jason, is an excellent detective no matter what, and gets suspicious of Piper. "Wait, if you're a people pleaser how did you get sent to the Wilderness School. Minors who repeatedly commit offenses goes to prision, and yet you haven't done anything". "Uhhhhh" , a monster attacks them, saving Piper from almost blowing her cover.
Piper questions her sexuality when she meets the hunters, Leo tries to be supportive, but fails. "Hey, I'm an aromantic, and even I can feel the romance between you and Piper" "...Leo. Never flirt. Ever" ( Fun fact, I said the exact same stuff to someone on behalf of my friend; suffice to say it wasn't my proudest moment)
They're both clueless to the angst stuff happening in the cave. Thalia is struggling to keep it together cuz her baby brother is all grown up and she can't celebrate that becuz he doesn't even know her and that's another person she has to add in the list of "loved one she eventually has to see die becuz she's immortal"
Surprise, as they near the place Hera's trapped, Piper gets revealed that's she been working with the giants to get Jason captured when he was least expecting it cause he's a threat. And Piper would sacrifice Jason, a guy she met like a week ago, for her dad whom which they kidnapped like a few months ago and then blackmailed her to be their spy.
Sike, the giants decides to kill Tristan and the trio instead of just Jason, which was not part of the deal, but Gaea hates Aphrodite and all her kids cuz they are Uranus spawns, and Gaea hates her ex-husband a lot. It's also convenient that two thirds of the trio are part of the prophecy of the Seven, so gotta kill them all. (Pokemon theme plays in the background) (Cuz only Hazel, Frank, Jason and Leo were confirmed to be a part of the Seven, and the other three were added later on )
They free Tristan, but Piper gets captured instead. Jason doesn't want to save her, considering she was willing to kill him off a few minutes ago, but Leo knows how Piper feels, considering Gaea screwed him over as well, who he now is 95% sure was that grass lady that killed his mom, and urges Jason to save them. Even if he's miffed by the fact that Piper got to keep her memories thanks to Gaea's interference intact while Jason and Leo's didn't.
"Wait hold up, so Hera and Gaea messed up my memories? So my friendships are all a lie!" "But that doesn't mean I'm not your friend anymore" Leo starts bawling at that, much to Jason surprise, because he has a friend after so long of being alone (poor boy)
Piper meanwhile regrets everything she has ever done, and not for the first time, considers suicide. But after getting riled up by someone from the shadows telling her she's useless, as a daughter of Aphrodite, she gets reminded of her will to live so that she can one day prove that stuck up manager of her father's that she's more than just a pretty face, and she will prove that manager and the rando in the shadows that she's better than them, basically living through sheer spite baby (Poor Piper, the little smolo blorbo)
They arrive at the place where both Piper and Hera are held. Gaea speaks through that mortal from the shadows (we making her more in this au cuz why not), whch is wayyyyyy more creepy then just talking through their dreams and starts egging Leo on being like "Heyyyyy, ya I did murder your mom" before forcing said mortal she was speaking through to kill themselves. We realise that Gaea has just been picking out random mortals and controllling them as she doesn't have a body herself.
Hera gets freed, Leo overcomes his fire trauma,Piper reedeems herself in Jason's books by reviving him back from the dead. Apparently having a pep talk from Leo and the grief from losing Jason, who is legit her best friend now, can get Piper to unlock her full power of charmspeaking. Leo's just happy he has a home again, with two best friends and a fairy godmother through Hera.
Honestly it's funny when you imagine Jason and Piper learning about Hera putting Leo in fire when he was a baby and being horrified, and he's like it wasn't traumatic, it was a learning experience. Also Hera, in the disguise of a babysitter, gave him ice cream for breakfast when he was five, so she's apparently one of his favourite gods.
Jason was apparently taken from the roman camp in an effort to combine the two camps together after centuries of bloodshed and fighting cuz they need to beat Gaea. So yay, Jason finds out atleast one thing about himself. Hera does promise that he will regain his memories when he finds the roman camp, which she doesn't disclose the location of.
Also piper was never intended to be part of the seven in the first place, but becuz she tagged along and put herself within Hera's radar and has a pretty nice power that would be very helpful, she gets put in the prophecy as well, so yay, she finally feels included for the first time in a very looooong time
Also at the begging of Leo, who is Hera's favoruite, decides to be a bit more helpful and give one more info: Annabeth's at the roman camp, and she also reveals that she intially took Percy first to represent the greeks, but he went missing after two days for some reason, so she took annabeth.
Oh in this au Piper and Leo do not become cabin heads, cause they are too busy saving the world to try to lead a cabin, also Piper finally fits in camp cuz she goes against her hollywood teachings and talks back at Drew, showing her true self after a long time. Hephastus cabin does not have that curse of not taking things able to work, but they do find the secret cabin. And they start preparing to go to the roman camp.
Next Part -> Son of Neptune Au

Series Masterlist
***
"Mom- how could you not tell me?" You ask her forcing yourself to remain calm.
"Well, your father and I-"
"Daddy knows too?" You ask quietly because the idea that your parents agreed to keep you in the dark makes this whole thing that much harder to process.
"Of course he does."
"Why would you keep this a secret from me?"
"Because we weren't sure you'd ever turn."
"What?"
"In both your father and I we have a rare genetic thing, our wolf genes are dormant. Neither of us can turn- we thought, maybe you wouldn't be able to either and we didn't want the pressure of knowing that to affect you growing up. It can be very hard, being a wolf who can't be a wolf. We worried that if we told you that you would go through middle and high school thinking you were broken because you never turned. It's- wonderful that you have! I can tell you anything you want to know now that-"
"I haven't." You mutter.
"You haven't?"
"I haven't turned."
"Then- where did the question come from? How did you suspect you were a werewolf if you haven't turned?"
"I got clocked." You mutter.
"You got clocked?!"
"Yep. Some guys, near strangers, actually told me I was a werewolf. I've been mulling it over for like the past month wondering if it was even possible. I finally decided to just give you a call and put the whole thing to rest."
"Okay, wait strangers told you? How would they know?"
"They're werewolves. There are actually quite a few of them out here apparently mom."
"And one of them realized you were one?"
"Two of them but, it would appear so. And now I have a second problem."
"What is it baby?"
"These same men that told me I was a werewolf, told me Bruce has known this whole time." You say.
"Bruce your scientist boyfriend?"
"Yes mom my scientist boyfriend, who specializes in studying supernatural creatures. Would've been nice to know I WAS ONE before committing three years to him!" You huff.
"Wait you never told us he studied supernaturals. Why would you leave that out?"
"Because why would my human parents care about what he's sciencing mom?!" You scoff.
"You're okay with him experimenting on supernaturals as long as you aren't one?!"
"He doesn't experiment on them he does pretty much exclusively observational research as far as I know. Mom, what do I do if he's known this whole time and kept it from me? How do I even ask him something like that?"
"Be direct. And look out for the tells."
"Tells?"
"I know as a kid you had such sensitive hearing you could tell if someone was coming to the house before they even reached the front porch and I'm sure by now you've learned to manage that sensory response but if you can focus, you'll be able to hear his heart, hear his breathing change. If you can't focus watch for if he makes eye contact, or if he starts fidgeting, sweating, or pacing. Those are the tells of a liar. Plus regardless of if he's known all this time or not, I don't like the idea of you dating someone that treats our kind like lab rats."
"Okay well, I guess my life is imploding. I'll call you later. I have questions about this werewolf thing but I must first sort out the boyfriend drama." You tell her.
"Alright dear, take care of yourself hm? And tell Wanda I said hello."
"HI MOM! BYE MOM!" Wanda shouts before you hang up.
"Bye Wanda dear!" She says and the call ends there.
"So- you're a werewolf. I was right!" Wanda practically squeals in excitement.
"Okay you need to calm down." You tell her.
"I need to calm down?! How are you not less calm?"
"I think I'm still in shock. Kind of. But also I've been considering this for a while now. Plus Steve and Bucky being right about this means they might also be right about Bruce."
"You really think Bruce knew you were a werewolf this whole time and kept it from you?" Wanda frowns.
"Believe me I don't want to but I have to consider it. He swore Steve and Bucky were delusional liars and- if they were telling the truth about the wolf thing why would they lie about Bruce?"
"So are you going to ask him?"
"I have to. Don't I?"
"Unless you have access to his research yeah."
"How would access to his research help me avoid asking?"
"Well, for him to find out even though you didn't know, he'd have to have run a blood test or something on you at some point and I'm sure he kept them on file somewhere."
"I'll just ask him. I wouldn't feel comfortable going through his files anyway."
"I dunno considering it's likely that he's been running tests on you fuck his privacy in my opinion. Do you have access to his research?"
"Technically, yes, but he takes his laptop to the lab with him usually. I wouldn't be able to go through it without him here. It'll just be quicker to ask him. Mom says I should be able to tell if he's lying about it." You shrug.
"Well there ya go." She says.
"Would it be awful if I waited?" You grimace. The thought of this makes your stomach turn.
"No, it's gonna be a tough confrontation you should do it when you feel ready. Although it's probably not good to let it fester. Can I ask what's holding you back?"
"If he's lying I need to be prepared to leave and I wanna have that in order first-"
"I can't believe you're saying that as if I'm not right here! Pack a bag or two right now and I'll take your stuff to my place. As soon as you find out he's lying head right out the door and come to mine."
"Wait- do you think he's lying Wanda?"
"How should I know?"
"You said as soon as I find out he's lying, as if he for sure is and it's just a matter of confirming. You think Steve and Bucky are right about this?"
"They were right about you being a werewolf. You said it yourself, if they weren't lying about that why this?" She shrugs. "I know you love Bruce but it's not farfetched that in 3 years with all he knows about supernaturals, he suspected you were one, like I did, but unlike me he did what he could to confirm that suspicion."
"Oh." You frown.
"I'm sorry y/n. I don't want to believe that he would do that to you, but you know I've always had my reservations about him."
"No I- I know. It's a valid thought. I mean Steve and Bucky were right about one thing and if I was so sure they were wrong about Bruce I wouldn't feel the need to ask him in the first place but- the ethics of his research have always been a point of contention for me so, I'm not surprised we're here anyway."
"Honestly if he's been telling the truth that's great, but what you should pay more attention to is how he reacts to the question regardless. I mean- everything you thought you knew just got flipped on its head he should understand why that would raise more questions especially since the source of one truth is the source of this information."
"I dunno he's been pretty agitated about this whole wolf mafia thing. Every time we talk about Steve and Bucky he's like in hyper defense. Sometimes it feels like he doesn't believe I can think for myself. If I'm not agreeing with him he says it's because I'm too naive or too trusting or whatever."
"That's- kind of ugly." Wanda mutters and you laugh.
"He's paranoid and he feels guilty."
"Guilty?"
"Because if I'm in danger it's because of his research all those years ago. Not that anyone has made any indication that I'm in danger it's just- knowing all of these supposed mobsters are in my social vicinity he assumes they're just waiting to strike. Circling me like sharks." You chuckle.
"If anything it seems like they're circling to protect though?"
"Bruce would have an aneurysm even trying to consider that possibility." You scoff.
"Okay well, pack some things. You don't have to take him on today but since I'm here we'll pack your evacuation stuff now and just keep it at mine til you do."
"Maybe I should be giving him the benefit of the doubt." You sigh as you pull your small suitcase out of your closet.
"I think you're giving plenty of benefit by bothering to ask him and not just assuming he's lying."
"Yeah but- packing like this? As if I'm expecting to hear a lie and need to escape?" You frown, folding up clothes and packing them into the suitcase without much thought.
"Hope for the best but prepare for the worst that's what you always say. I know it's hard when the worst is that your boyfriend betrayed your trust but it'll be easier to face if you're ready for that possibility."
"Right. Hope for the best. Prepare for the worst." You nod.
"So- if the werewolves end up being right about him, what's your plan with them?"
"My plan with them?"
"Yeah, like- will you go talk to them?"
"I dunno. I have no way of contacting them Wanda they just kind of appear every couple of weeks. It's not like I can go looking."
"I think you could." She shrugs.
"How does one go looking for werewolf possibly crime lords?"
"Well you said Peter knows two of their men?"
"Maybe. I mean Peter knows two of the werewolf mobsters yes but. That only helps if Steve and Bucky really are on top like Bruce thinks they are. If not the last thing I wanna do is have more werewolves looking for me."
"Hm, I guess dealing with Steve and Bucky can wait. First we deal with Bruce." She tells you.
"Yeah sure- I guess so." You agree and finish packing your things for her to take to her place. Despite Wanda's conviction on the matter, you don't have the courage to confront Bruce when he comes home that night. You have dinner and discuss his day and wind down together like you do every other night. You pretend that nothing is wrong and can I just say you are one hell of an actress because Bruce does not suspect a thing. In fact you sit on this information for days before you deal with anything and it's not exactly by choice. The bell at the front of the store rings and you greet the way you always do.
"Hello! Welcome in!" You call, looking up to see Wanda walking towards you with serious conviction. "Uh oh." You mutter.
"Hi Peter!" Wanda says without even looking for him knowing he works pretty much every shift with you at this point.
"Miss Wanda! Hi!" Peter pokes his head into view from behind some shelves. Wanda waves at him and then turns her attention to you with a point.
"You." She says.
"Me."
"You need to talk to him." Wanda says.
"I will! I just-"
"No no you just nothing. You've been sitting on this for over four days. What are you gonna do just pretend it's all okay for the rest of your life?" She crosses her arms. You knew this was coming, and to her credit, she has left you to your devices until now.
"No of course not, but- I'm not ready." You sigh.
"Y/n right now you don't know if you can trust him and that's something you need to sort out because a relationship without trust is like, jumping out of an airplane without a parachute. Death waiting to happen."
"Sorry I'm not eager to risk blowing up my entire relationship." You shrug.
"Newsflash the fact that you're in this situation at all means your relationship is probably already fucking doomed. Especially if the truth is what we're worried that it is, then your relationship has been over for a looooong time."
"Ouch." You frown.
"Honey if he's been lying to you this whole time then he thinks you're a fool. Do not let him make a fool of you.  When you get off work, talk to him or I will come to your apartment and accuse him myself."
"That is a terrible idea." You shake your head.
"I know, the point is to light a fire under your butt so you take care of it yourself. Because you know I'll do it."
"Why can't you just let me do this on my own time?" You pout.
"I wish I could but as your best friend it would be irresponsible for me to pretend that I'm okay with this ignorance is bliss act you have going on to protect your relationship with a man who we suspect is lying to you. All you're doing is wasting your time and I can't in good conscience allow that to go on especially because in a few months you'll probably bitch at me if I do and if I were in your shoes you would have my head."
"I know you're right but I hate you for it."
"You will thank me later, and I will maybe see you tonight. At the very least I expect a text or I'll be banging on your door by this time tomorrow." She leans over the counter and kisses your cheek before sauntering out of the store.
"What a terror." You sigh to yourself.
"Wanda left?" Peter asks coming up to the counter.
"Yeah. She only came in to yell at me in person so I couldn't ignore her."
"Yell at you for what?" Peter laughs.
"Avoiding my problems. Honestly Peter the best and worst thing you can do is have a best friend that will ride your ass because they will have your back but man is it annoying to hear when you're not acting in your own best interest." You roll your eyes and he laughs some more.
"I'll- keep that in mind. I don't have much in the way of friends honestly so, I'd say you're pretty lucky to have her."
"Aw come on Sam and Clint don't ride you about being responsible and shit?" You ask.
"They're barely responsible themselves." He snorts.
"Fine then I'll be accountability friend."
"You'll be my accountability friend?"
"Yeah! I'm already Wanda's. Usually. Right now my life is minorly in shambles so she's mine but we swap as necessary. I can do the same for you." You say ruffling his hair. Peter makes a face but he doesn't complain about your affection. He never does.
"I mean you don't have to-" Peter trails off.
"I know but, you're a sweet kid. I'm sure I've got tons of advice I can offer you." You shrug.
"Oh- I appreciate it. You've been real nice to me since I started here so, thanks."
"Of course Peter." You smile at him. The rest of your shift passes quicker than you'd like it to because now as you're closing up with Peter you're thinking about the conversation you now have to have with Bruce. When you unlock your apartment the smell of food hits you first. You kick off your shoes and walk into the kitchen where Bruce is pulling a tray out of the oven.
"Hey Brucey." You say.
"Hi babe, welcome home." He says.
"Thank you. What'd you make?" You ask him, setting the table for you to eat.
"Stuffed peppers and roasted potatoes."
"Sounds good!"
"You're just in time to try them." Bruce puts the peppers on a serving plate and walks them over to the table with the potatoes. The two of you sit down and eat together, mostly in silence, but eventually, when your plates are almost empty, you initiate conversation.
"So how was your day? Did you go to the lab today?" You ask him.
"I did yeah. Nothing terribly interesting happened really just analyzing data and whatnot." He shrugs. "How was your day? Any shitty customers today?"
"Not particularly, we don't tend to get a lot of those anyway. Wanda came to visit for a little bit but that's about all." You tell him.
"That's nice." He nods and you feel your heartbeat start thundering as you convince yourself to get to the point.
"Yeah. I need to talk to you about something actually." You say standing to clear your dinner plate. You feel like if you walk you can dispel the nervous tension you're feeling.
"Oh? What's up babe?"
"You know how Steve and Bucky said I was a werewolf?"
"Yes and we agreed they were delusional. Why? Did you run into them again?" Bruce shifts in his chair to look at you as you lean against the counter by the sink.
"No, I haven't seen them since the last time we spoke about them a couple weeks ago it's just- well I finally called my mom about the whole thing-"
"Why would you call your mom if their claims are baseless?"
"Becuase it was the easiest way to put an end to any doubt it's not that big of a deal, I call my mom for all sorts of things Bruce."
"I mean sure but it's a weird question to ask her since you aren't-"
"Except I am." You say, crossing your arms. You barely catch Bruce's eyes widen before he turns back around in his chair so his back is facing you. He takes his time pushing the seat back to stand up while you keep talking. "Yeah according to my mom I actually am a werewolf. She never told me because of a dormant gene in our family, but I definitely am one. Steve and Bucky were telling the truth." You say. Bruce clears his throat and walks over to the sink placing his dinner plate into it.
"Well how are you feeling about it? I mean this is sort of big-"
"What I want to know, is if you already knew." You cut him off backing up a bit to put more space between you.
"What?" He asks with a little chuckle that you think is nervousness.
"Steve and Bucky were right about me being a werewolf, so it begs the question were they also right about you knowing and keeping it from me?"
"Oh come on that's ridiculous, for me to somehow find that out and hide part of your identity from you? I can't believe you'd even entertain the notion." He shakes his head. You look him over carefully, considering your mother's advice. He's not sweating, but he also hasn't looked at you since you said you were a werewolf, he's not exactly pacing but you look down and realize he's rolling his fingers together. "Y/n, come on you can't seriously think that I'd deceive you that way can you? I mean these strangers get one lucky guess and suddenly you trust them more than me?" Bruce adds when the silence drags on longer than he'd like. His heart, focus on his heartbeat. You take another few seconds to try and pick it up. When you really focus like this you can pick up on so many things it can be overwhelming but you force yourself to pick up his heart rate and it's not as steady as it should be. Not full blown panicked pounding but definitely nervously fast.
"I don't know who I can trust Bruce." You say.
"Me! I've never given you a reason to think otherwise. You can trust me. Why would I lie to you?"
"It makes sense."
"No it doesn't."
"Yes it does. Your supernaturals research is your life. I mean you've studied enough werewolves, it's not impossible to think that you'd know you're sharing a home with one or suspect it and convince yourself it's necessary to investigate those suspicions."
"I can't believe you think I would do that to you."
"I don't want to. God knows I don't want to but it's hard not to when you won't even look at me. You haven't looked at me since I told you I was a werewolf and you always look at me when we talk. It's hard when I know how much supernatural studies takes up your life, I know you've tracked and trapped werewolves before so you obviously know how to identify one, but I'm supposed to believe you wouldn't be able to clock one sharing a bed with you?! It's hard when at every turn you tried to convince me Bucky and Steve were crazy. You swore it was impossible for them to be right about this and now look at where we are. The impossible is not only possible it's true. So if they were telling the truth about one thing, why not the other? And when I think about it, like really think about it, since the second 'lie' is dependant on believing the first 'lie'- if you really thought they were insane and lying to manipulate me, why were you so against me calling my parents to find out? I mean if you truly believed it was false a quick call to confirm that would've immediately dismissed the second lie and we wouldn't be here. Your continued objection doesn't make sense unless you knew they weren't lying."
"This is ridiculous y/n I love you, I would never hurt you-"
"If you're lying to me Bruce you've already hurt me. And the fact that you have yet to actually deny it is enough of an answer."
"ALL I'VE DONE IS DENY IT!"
"NO YOU HAVEN'T! You've said it's ridiculous, you've said you can't believe I think that, you've said you'd never hurt me, you've it doesn't make sense, you've said I trust them more than you, but you have not at any point said 'no y/n I didn't already know you were a werewolf and kept it a secret from you.' So yeah, I'll take that as a confession."
"You- you started this conversation assuming I was guilty."
"Do not turn this on me Bruce. If you can't look me in the eye right now and say you didn't know I was a werewolf and keep it a secret from me... I'm leaving."
"And going where? To those crime lords, y/n they do not have your best interests in mind. You'll get hurt."
"Say it Bruce. Say you didn't know." You say quietly. There's a stretch of silence that you take as your answer and without another word, you put on your shoes and grab your bag still by the door.
"Y/n wait!" Bruce says before you can leave.
"You still can't say the one thing I asked of you." You say pulling open the apartment door and leaving without even looking at him.

Lost sparkle in the eyes

Summary: They saved you. They were like family to you. You fell in love with them. But you found out they are a couple. You wanted them to hate you. It might have been easier for you to stop loving them. You couldn't live if they hated you. You wanted to make them hate you and then you would kill yourself... Could such a plan ever work?
Tumblr media
"Just let me end my suffering..."
You've been given two chances to be happy in life.
But you couldn't take full advantage of any of these opportunities.
It was taken from you in two of the cruelest ways that ever existed.
Death of loved ones when you couldn't do anything, and also afterward, heartbreak...
You were a little girl when your parents were brutally killed by a creature that walked around your house.
Your mother looked that way but tried to ignore it.
Your father didn't see anything.
And you watched the creature sometimes wander around your house. Sometimes it just got bigger and bigger.
Until finally, one day when you came home from school that was nearby, you couldn't see anything in the dark. Your house was dark and cold. A disgusting smell hung in the air.
There was no neighbor next to you.
So when you heard quiet, very irregular breathing, you went in there.
Just to see your mother staring at you with wide eyes full of blood before she lightly extended her hand to you and pointed her finger at the door.
What was that supposed to mean?
You were only a child, moreover, you had never been in such a situation before...
But you knew you were supposed to run when suddenly you couldn't see the face of the woman who gave birth to you nine years ago.
Drops hit the floor and when you looked up you saw something alive there on the ceiling.
It was so dark.
But you were glad your house was dark. That everything in the living room was black, and you didn't see the crimson covering every corner.
You didn't see your father's body lying dismembered in another part of the room. Then you knew what he started your mother's silent signal.
You were supposed to run.
Before the same thing happened to you.
You ran out of the house, avoiding the creature that did all this.
You missed your first chance at happiness then.
You wandered the sidewalks, not remembering any familiar address.
People ignored you.
No one cared about a stray and scared child like you.
All you know is that your mother suddenly disappeared.
You didn't see the blood, but you knew it was swallowed and killed.
You don't know what's up with your father. Perhaps he too suffered the same fate...
Maybe if you didn't see this creature it would be better?
Or maybe then you too would die the same way they did?
You were 9 years old. Your whole life was ahead of you. And no one has ever told you the truth about what it means to die for a human being. When your grandma died, your parents told you that she had left and couldn't come back. You couldn't see what she looked like. Because you were a little kid. You only saw other people in the cemetery bury the urn in your family grave. Will the same thing happen to your parents now? Will they go away and never come back?
Is it the same as when your beloved pet dies and then is no longer around?
Parents are not pets. This is an even greater attachment to man.
But it will feel similar.
It will be so empty and sad...
And probably no one will ever fill this void for you...
You've been walking the sidewalks all night.
You didn't know the phone numbers. You wanted to earn what was right, and you wanted to go to the police station. However, you haven't even seen where it is...
You didn't walk all over town with your parents, and you didn't even have a phone to call. Not to mention money at least for some food or to make a phone call.
You walked all night, enjoying the very warm night and the good weather.
You could sit on a park bench where you always sat with your parents.
The first time they brought you there, you knew your life was going to be happy.
And now...
How could you even think of such a thing?
About the happiness you could have right now...
"Hello?" You heard the words in front of you.
You were sitting with your head resting on your backpack.
It was already morning. And you already know it. Because the sun's rays warmed your face.
Maybe someone found you?
Or maybe you have hallucinations?
There's one thing you'd like right now.
For someone to take you out of this park just like your parents did. And then you'd know you've been given another chance at happiness.
You opened your eyes to see the dark-haired man crouching in front of you, and the white-haired man standing behind him.
"Is everything OK?" he asked with a slight smile.
She looked at him with tired eyes and slightly parted lips. You didn't say anything. You couldn't.
"What's your name?"
You grabbed your backpack.
You couldn't trust strangers.
It's so early in the morning. The sun had just begun to rise.
"Is she mute?"
You looked at the white haired boy who said that.
They seemed different to you than people.
You felt something strange about them. As if their aura was different than humans.
Similar to your mother's aura, but much more powerful.
"Satoru, shut up." He whispered to the white-haired dark-haired man.
He just shrugged.
"Is there no one around here? Maybe her parents? I don't know if it's normal for a child to ask for directions in our situation. We need to hurry up."
"Satoru, I know. However, it is so early in the morning that you will hardly find anyone here. This is not Tokyo where there are so many people. It's a smaller town."
"Okay Suguru. I just don't understand why we had to leave so early.
"Will you tell us your name?" the man in the bun asked.
They didn't look much older than you...
Mom told you not to talk to strangers...
However, you have no one...
Perhaps with her departure, her rules disappeared as well?
"...(y/n)..." you said softly.
"Hi, (y/n), I'm Suguru and that one is Satoru. Say, are your parents here?" He said with a smile.
You nodded your head to the side.
Your eyes filled with tears just thinking about it.
"Are you lost?" He asked.
You did not answer.
Could you say you're lost?
You don't have a home. The rooms are dilapidated. There is no one there.
You have nothing to help you survive.
Your clothes are a little dirty, your knees are scuffed from falling down a few times.
Your eyes are red from crying. You're tired.
You only had lunch left over when you got home. You ate it last night.
Now... You had nothing but crayons and two books in your backpack, including pencils and other things.
"Your parents must be looking for you. Do you remember the way home?"
You nodded.
You remember, but you don't want to go back there. This is no longer your home.
"I'd like to ask you something else. We'll take you home, but do you know where Mr. (l/n)'s house is?"
"Do you really think we should ask her?" White Hair asked.
"I know where it is..." you murmured with a soft sob.
And then you slowly got up.
He shook your hand as you started to cry.
Well, you must have been terrified...
When he gave you a small smile, you took his hand with your smaller one.
Putting on your backpack, you reached for the other's hand.
You always went out with your parents like this. On one side your father, on the other your mother. And they took you by the hand.
You've never felt better in any other way. You're used to something like this. And that made you feel safe.
But when you noticed that White Hair had his hands in his pockets, you weren't even going to try to reach for it.
You grabbed the dark haired man's hand with both of your hands, small tears still in your eyes.
And then suddenly you heard a sigh.
And you felt another hand grab yours.
You felt that your life could still change, didn't you?
You took them to (l/n)'s home.
To the house where you used to live.
They thanked you, and offered to go with you to your house.
The white-haired one was supposed to lead you, and the dark-haired one was supposed to enter the house.
As you held the white-haired boy's hand and watched the boy in the bun walk to the main door, you felt like you were about to cry again.
They were good to you.
They showed you that there may still be some light and happiness in your life.
That's why you don't want them going in there.
You don't want them there! You don't want them to go away like your parents too.
Because they made your eyes shine brighter.
So they too can make that sparkle in your eyes disappear as quickly as it appeared.
And you don't want your eyes to be as dull as they were yesterday...
As he waved to you, saying see you later, you pulled your hand out of Satoru's and ran over to Suguru, grabbing his wrist.
But what you said made them freeze.
"Don't go there..." You said in a shaky voice.
"Satoru will walk you home." He said placing his hand on your head. "We'll try to visit you when we're done, okay?"
"This is my home!" You said with tears on your cheeks.
They both widened their eyes.
Geto heard a soft "oh, shit" from his best friend.
They were sent here because last night they received a report of a grade 1 curse living in one of the houses, and the household is in mortal danger.
So you...
God... If you weren't home, what happened there? Even from here they could sense the energy of the curse.
"You can't come in here! I don't want you to go and disappear like my parents!" You screamed cuddling up to his side. "There's something... I don't want anything to happen to you like them! I do not want to be alone!"
Their hearts sank when they heard that. That was awful.
What's more, you've seen curses...
That must have been even more traumatic for you.
Besides, you knew your parents were dead...
"Satoru. Take care of her." The dark haired man said before getting down on one knee in front of you. "I'll be right back, okay?"
After all, it was probably impossible for them to just leave you with the police or relatives.
Seeing curse and death is the most horrible thing...
And you see curses, so it'll be a terrible blow to you the next time you see it.
Such terrible things happen to you.
No wonder they found you outside alone.
"N-No!" Before you could grab his pants, he walked away from you and flashed a small smile before walking inside your house.
You only felt that awful feeling when the door was opened. A terrible cold that already hurt you.
You hugged the other boy who had no idea what he could do to comfort you.
He didn't know about children.
"He'll be fine." He said calmly and hesitantly stroked your hair.
You vaguely remember that time in your childhood when you suddenly appeared in them at some school.
All you remember is that the principal of the school called a lot in your presence. One girl examined you and checked your condition. And the older man who was the principal acted therapeutically with his moving stuffed animals.
None of your uncles or aunts answered. It was as if no one was there, or they just didn't care.
Several policemen helped to determine where the immediate family was staying.
Your family wasn't large. Your mother was an only child, and so was your father.
And the closest family that spoke up lived in Europe.
It would be embarrassing to fly to Japan to take care of you, even though your mother's cousin had a large family she couldn't leave behind.
And also, she wasn't that close to you because you didn't know her at all.
And then she refused to take care of you.
And that meant for you that you would live in an orphanage until someone wanted to adopt you.
But your condition wasn't the best.
Every time you saw the slightest curse, you were scared and ran to one of the boys who almost saved you.
Orphanages have amulets against the curse. However, sometimes there are fly heads that fly around harmlessly.
But you... It was something else.
They didn't feel your energy, but it's like you have it.
You easily approached them from behind and they didn't sense anything from you.
You weren't strong at all. Your energy was low.
You lived in a room in this school.
A not-so-ideal new home for a baby, but there was nothing else you felt comfortable with.
They couldn't kick you out.
Until one of your relatives speaks up, someone who lives closer, you'll stay here.
What you didn't know was that because of this, you stayed there more than the next eight years...
And never again was there even a thought of hoping that someone might volunteer to take care of you.
After researching your ancestors, all they knew was that your mother attended a Jujutsu school, however, she was a low grade sorcerer. So she could easily quit.
The rest of your ancestors are people who didn't solve puzzles.
Although there have been some sorcerers in your family tree in the past, it wasn't enough to call your family a sorcerer family.
So maybe it's best for you to live here and learn what you can do with energy?
At least you'll learn to protect yourself from curses and never be afraid of it again.
With the uncertain approval of your superiors, it has been decided that they will make you a future Jujutsu sorcerer.
Someone learned from a young age will be stronger than someone who learned it in high school.
Therefore, the superiors agreed. Hoping for the next strong sorcerer in their ranks. To at least teach you exorcism with weapons.
They were like brothers to you. Like the best babysitters you've ever had.
They were your second chance at happiness in life.
They were like family to you, and you loved them.
You knew that since your birth family didn't want you, you could have found other loved ones.
At least they wanted you.
At least you cared about them.
You got closer every year.
You understood that they weren't old because when you were 15 they were 23. They still haven't changed at all.
And that was probably the moment you started seeing them as something more.
You haven't met people your age. You didn't know the ideal of family and love.
You just knew you wanted to be with them forever.
They were everything to you. Family, friends. Until they finally turned into your first love.
The first love that lasted a very long time.
A love that lasted even after your death.
When you were 17, in the second year of Jujutsu High School, you watched in awe as these two twenty-five-year-olds train or do something else.
You would never get to the level they have.
But you didn't mind.
It would be important for you that they are and will always be close to you.
"I want to tell them... But how am I supposed to tell them that I fell in love with them?” You muttered to yourself as you sat on the steps near the field where they were training.
They both waved at you and smiled.
You saw Satoru jumping on Suguru's back to make you look at them and smile.
They were close to each other.
You also wanted them to be even closer to you.
Maybe they won't reject you? They're 25, and you know they've had relationships before.
But you doubt they'll hurt you that much when they reject you
After all, they do everything for you.
They act so perfect for you. They are always with you. As if they were closer than family and friends.
You felt the love they radiated for you.
But you had some doubts...
You've lived in a dorm since you can remember. But you always came to their house on the weekends.
You don't see anything strange that they live together since they've been friends for almost 10 years.
Did you know that today they are going shopping in the city. Probably to the mall.
You planned to go there too, and confess your feelings to them on the right occasion, when they were happy.
However...
However, you couldn't...
Even when you wanted to approach them when they were sitting in the cafe on the other side.
You held your small cup of soda which you finished and threw it in the bin.
It was a bit corny, but you bought some cherry soft heart cookies. Decorated with cream and most importantly, with hearts.
You wanted to eat it with them.
They haven't seen you.
All the things you bought were in your bag.
And later...
As you were about to approach them, you saw that they were getting closer to each other.
They sat in the corner of the cafe where no one could see them.
You never expected to see two people you love kiss each other smiling.
The lips you wanted to kiss now connected.
But it wasn't your kiss.
Satoru was kissing Suguru.
They were smiling.
And that means... that you would never have a chance that they wouldn't reject you.
There was no way they could love you because they loved each other.
Your smile quickly faded into a sad grimace.
Your heart sank as you felt betrayed. The friendly warmth was replaced by a chill that took over your body.
And what you feared will happen again.
The old sparkle has gone from your eyes.
Your eyes have become dead. Without emotions.
The only emotion was tears that suddenly started to run down your cheeks.
Your second chance at happiness has begun to fade.
Like a candle flame that slowly goes out. However, your flame was slowly extinguished.
Until there is a very small flame left that seems to be about to go out.
You had a bit more luck.
Because they were still in your life.
But it couldn't be the same anymore...
you wanted to forget. You wanted to stop loving them...
You left as fast as you could and sat by the back door of the building.
you wanted to forget...
You didn't want to love them anymore...
You wish this never happened...
You wished you could replace those feelings with others.
"Excuse me... Are you okay?"
You looked up at the boy in front of you.
His expression seemed a little concerned.
Maybe you could replace your feelings for them with your feelings for someone else?
"I don't think we should have kissed in that coffee shop for so long."
"Sugu, I wanted to!"
"I don't deny it, but I had a feeling people were watching."
"Don't worry about that!" He said putting his hand on his shoulders. "By the way, (y/n) wanted to tell us something."
"Right. That's why we go to her. I'm curious what she meant. She seemed serious and a little tense." Geto said, letting Gojo do what he wanted. "Maybe she has a boyfriend?"
"No way! I will not allow it!"
"Satoru, I wouldn't want that either... But this..." he murmured more quietly.
Suddenly, the white-haired man's hands grabbed his cheeks.
"Suguru, she can't have a boyfriend! I wouldn't survive that!"
"I know..."
"She's like family to us. We love her as family... right?"
For a year they started telling each other that they love you but as a family.
They felt love for you. But they tried to think about it as much as possible.
That you love them like family and they love you. Even if their hearts might beat differently around you.
They didn't want something you wouldn't want either...
They had a complicated relationship...
They weren't boyfriends, but they were close.
They kissed, hugged. Sometimes they even fucked. They liked each other. Since Gojo at some point realized that Geto was his first true love.
And Geto accepted it.
They didn't mind because they had such a friendly relationship.
But they also did not reject the possible love for a woman.
You could easily tell they were Bisexual.
They paid no attention to it.
They had been together for several years. But at some point, you appeared in their hearts. In a romantic sense.
They both loved you.
But they rejected it because they didn't want to hurt you.
They preferred to tell themselves that this is love like family.
"I would like to tell her something more someday and not just be with her as someone for whom she is a family..." The dark-haired man said.
"Suguru..." pecked him on the mouth. "...Let's hear what she has to say. And then we'll plan what we can do. We can spend time with her today! We've got gifts!"
However, when they entered your room with a smile, you were not there.
It was hard for you. That's all. This whole situation. So suddenly to see it all.
You've already made some money as a sorcerer, and managed to stay one night in a hotel room.
Besides, the boy you met was very nice.
And you hoped he'd help you forget...
You didn't want to go back to your "home". You had to rethink everything.
You didn't come back until the next day. Going to your room after class.
But before you could get to the door, you felt a tug on your arm.
And you were arrested.
You looked at the two tall figures in front of you.
In the mirror this morning you saw that your eyes hadn't changed since yesterday.
Still as dead as then.
You looked at their faces as they looked furious. But you still can't forget the image of them that broke your heart...
"Where have you been? Do you realize what you've done?" Gojo asked you, holding your arm quite firmly.
"First you disappear without a word and don't come back at night, and now you just want to leave without any explanation? We were so worried about you!" Geto said louder.
You looked at them with your eyes.
Too blinded by anger to see the change in your eyes.
"You left us speechless! Do you think it's okay?!" White Hair yelled at you.
You put your head down.
"Why didn't you even you picked up the phone?!"
"My battery is dead..." you replied quietly, and took your phone out of your pocket, showing that it wouldn't turn on.
It didn't calm them down at all.
"Where have you been?!"
You looked at Suguru who stood next to you.
"Are you really that irresponsible after all these years here?! It's dangerous to suddenly disappear without a word! Do not you understand?!"
"I understand..."
You couldn't speak any louder because you felt like your voice was about to break.
"Will you explain anything to us?!"
"...I didn't want to go back to my room in the dark... I had a late train..."
"Where have you been?!"
"I wanted to do some shopping in one of the stores, and I missed the train that was going this way. I had to wait... and just spent the night in a hotel..."
"Why you-?!"
The dark haired man stopped his friend before they could continue screaming after seeing your body tremble slightly.
"(y/n)... I'm sorry... We got carried away..." He said as he hugged you.
"We were just so worried about you..." Geto added, hugging you from behind.
You want to forget about feelings for them...
You don't want to pretend that everything is fine...
You don't want to wear a fake smile...
You just want to forget you ever loved them...
Until you get rid of these feelings, your sparkle in your eyes will not return.
And when you look at them with dead eyes, they can understand that something is wrong...
You tried your best...
You've had several boyfriends.
You've tried everything.
Maybe something would make you forget your love for them?
You've been looking for this for three years...
Or maybe there is no way to stop loving them?
All you could do was stare blankly at your pictures and blur your face in each one.
Looking for an idea on how to forget in this way...
If they weren't so loving and kind... Maybe it would be easier then?
Maybe you can try to piss them off...
You want to end your suffering now...
Now...
Maybe it will pass through more suffering?
Maybe you can make you suffer even more, but then you'll forget? Maybe then the love for them will die down. will disappear...
You want them to hate you...
Then when they are mean to you, it will be easier for you to get rid of those feelings...
You won't be able to live knowing that they hate you...
But you prefer it...
No plan is perfect...
You just want your suffering to go away... That they will hate you will also be suffering.
But it will be easier for you to remember that they don't want to know you. That they don't need you in their lives. That you're just a hindrance.
That you are not family. So that they think that you will be unnecessary ballast. And for them to let go of their ties to you.
But when that happens, you won't want to live...
You don't want to anymore... If they hate you, you'll want to disappear right away... You'll want to do something that won't make you think what to do next.
You'll make them hate you, then you'll kill yourself...
This way will be the easiest for you.
For you all.
When they hate you, they won't mourn you...
They won't be sad when you die. They won't care. Because then you'll be the one who ruined their joy...
You looked at the photos you took of them secretly. Watching this, you became more and more convinced of your plan.
They don't need you.
They never loved you.
You would be an obstacle in their relationship...
They would never accept your feelings...
You will destroy their trust in you. You will kill their ties to you. You'll make them not want to know you. And then you'll disappear, taking all their hatred of you with them.
You're giving your second chance at happiness...
You let the flame and the candle disappear.
To make them think that taking you to safety, helping you and raising you was the biggest mistake they ever made...
You'd kill yourself now... But you don't want them to cry. Now you are still close to them...
When they hate you, they won't care about your future...
They won't be looking for you. They won't stop you.
You'll be able to commit suicide without feeling guilty about leaving them in despair.
Nobody will cry for you...
Because you gave your happiness to two people.
And your happiness existed as long as there was that sparkle in your eyes...
Now there's no way it can come back to your eyes.
All you could think about was what to do.
And you may have been preparing yourself for the cruel words of the people you love.
You could have prepared yourself for the hate raining down on you, and your imminent death.
You'll stab the men you love in the back, only to forget that your second chance at happiness is gone just like your first...
They can throw you out of your "house". They can trample your pride.
And you won't worry about it anymore.
Because you won't need this abbreviated life any longer.
You've already experienced the best of everything.
All the worst has begun, and soon you will end it.
All emotions, all memories will disappear.
You don't need a life.
Let them hate you so you can end your life without hesitation.
You put a smile on your face when I got presents from them.
You go to the party where Satoru was invited as the head of the Gojo clan.
You're going with him.
You got beautiful things that you liked.
It was nice.
But you have to give them those expensive things right after the party.
This will be your last party ever.
They will surely regret spending money on you after what you do to them...
That's why you prepared everything they ever bought you and put it in one box that was on your bed.
All the clothes, phones, money you got as pocket money. Jewelry. Every single thing that was bought with their money.
A lot has accumulated over the years.
And now everything was stacked in a box. Even in two.
You cleaned everything and washed your clothes.
Every single thing was taken care of.
For whatever you've ever destroyed, you've also put in the money you've earned. As compensation for that, it has been destroyed and they will no longer be able to use it.
They can sell jewelry. So does the phone. Clothes can be returned.
You won't need it any longer.
There will be no trace of you in their lives.
You pulled out the picture you had in the frame with them. You scissored you when you were among them in the picture. You threw the strip of paper with you in the trash can, and taped the two parts of the photo together, leaving it as a photo of both of them.
Without you.
Your room was clean. Empty cabinets.
All you had was the clothes you once bought yourself to change out of that dress and put it away.
You also put the same cookies you wanted to give them on the bed.
Cherry hearts...
They'll probably throw it away, but you could at least try.
They'll probably spit on your grave if they care what happened to you.
You won't give them back anything for how much time they spent with you, but you'll give them back that the person they hate won't show up again.
They will know that you no longer even breathe the same earthly air as they do.
They'll be on one side, you'll be on the second.
They will walk on the ground and you will lie underground.
You wrote a little note and stuck it on the cardboard.
And there you just wrote that these are all the things you ever got from them. And that you give it back to them.
You silently left the room, closing it.
You were hiding your expression.
You were an adult, but they wouldn't let you drink champagne or wine anyway.
They didn't want you to get drunk...
You wanted to somehow live through these last moments where you can even pretend to smile.
Your last hours of life will be the same as your life for these three years.
So full of fake happiness.
You didn't know that now was supposed to be the end of your suffering and the beginning of new happiness.
You've already decided what to do.
And you won't accept changes to your plan.
You'll just make them hate you and then you'll be dead.
What you didn't know was that they just realized they love you romantically.
You're going to regret that you did, but you plugged the flash drive with the recording you made into the projector that was on the table.
You then moved away from them.
Not wanting to see how they will feel when they see this...
The light went out, and you saw the projector turned on.
Then, with tears in your eyes, you left the room, barefoot running to the parking lot.
Ijichi drove you to school and then drove you back.
You said goodbye to him nice and long. It wasn't weird for you. He's always been nice to you, and you didn't want to leave him without saying goodbye.
You put your beautiful new shoes next to the bed and put the dress on and put it in the box just like everything else.
You cried knowing what your loved ones are going through now...
You couldn't look at their faces when they saw that.
You put on your clothes and left. Going to the place you wanted to be at this time today.
The two men's eyes widened as they saw a video that showed several photos of them kissing one after the other. Later as they walk holding hands and as they hug.
Pictures of them sleeping in bed together, hugging each other.
They heard whispers and laughter. People were pointing at them and looking at them.
They were furious and ashamed.
Nobody knew!
Who could do such a thing.
The man who was organizing the party turned off the projector, pulling out the flash drive.
They wanted out.
They weren't that embarrassed because no one would laugh at the strongest sorcerers.
But they wanted out.
For your own good.
But when they looked for you, they couldn't find you.
Gojo pulled out his phone while they were outside waiting for you to answer the phone.
As soon as your small voice appeared, he immediately began to speak.
"(y/n)? Where are you?"
"In the room..." You replied calmly.
You tried your best to reduce the noise of the wind around you.
"But-"
"I felt tired and asked Ijichi to drive me."
"You could have told us." he said as he indicated to a friend that they could go.
"You guys had fun..."
They started driving and the phone was placed on Satoru's lap as they both listened to what you were saying.
"It wasn't that much fun..." he muttered.
You didn't answer them because you know what happened.
"Our ridiculous photos suddenly appeared on the projector..." he said nervously. "I'm so angry...I would do anything, but we'd get into even more trouble..."
"I know what is going on..."
Gojo thought about what you said.
"Hmm? What do you mean?" Geto asked, looking at the street.
It was quiet for a moment.
But telling the whole truth was in your plan.
Even if it might hurt.
It's going to hurt like hell, but it'll be over in a while.
So you dared to speak.
"I did it, I took those photos secretly and planned this incident." You said calmly.
Their eyes will widen.
Geto somehow tried to stay calm, unlike Gojo who started screaming.
"What do you mean by that?!" he shouted. "Why would you do that?! Are you aware of your actions and the consequences that Geto and I will face?!"
The last sentence was broken as his eyes began to roll from his eyes.
He couldn't believe you could do something like that.
He didn't want to believe.
But you said it like it was the whole truth.
"Why?!" He screamed putting his hand over his eyes.
Geto was holding back tears with difficulty.
You wanted too. But you've been crying since you got to your room.
"Why did you do that? We trusted you! We thought you didn't know that about us! Just give us an answer!!!"
You heard Suguru's words harsh but just as sad pouring out of his mouth.
You sat quietly for a while until you were finally able to tell them something you've wanted for a long time.
But you knew it wasn't a wish that could be fulfilled.
"... I fell in love with you... But I knew it was impossible for you to ever love me if you loved each other... So I–"
"That's not something you do to the people you love!" Satoru moaned as he couldn't stop any tear that spilled out.
You wanted to finish your explanations.
You knew you were going to get a wave of contempt from them...
"I couldn't stop loving you even if I tried. I dated other guys to see if I could stop loving you. However, that did nothing... I still loved you. I couldn't hate you... So I thought I'd make you hate me, and maybe then I'd somehow stop feeling this about you... I always wanted love from you, but I didn't want to disturb you! I know I've always been a stumbling block for you! You never treated me differently, and yet I fell in love with you! Not family love! But it still doesn't make sense! I didn't want you to reject me! So I just threw myself away for you...!"
Your words touched their hearts painfully.
You calmed down a bit and started talking again.
"And you know what the worst thing about all of this is? It's that I could never hate you... You both saved me, and I'm forever grateful for that, but I'm tired of pretending.. I'm done with the lie. With a fake smile that I've had for three years... I just want to be with my dead parents and finally find peace... I've lost both chances of happiness... I want to sleep now... Without this pain... I'm sorry but it's goodbye... I'm glad I could say it to you for the last time... I'm not angry that you hate me... Goodbye forever..."
Your voice sounded so broken and quiet.
They were both about to say something when you hung up.
Leaving them with wide, tear-filled eyes.
What was that supposed to mean?
They couldn't think much about it. They just knew that if they didn't hurry, they'd never see you again.
You were not there...
You were nowhere...
The room was clean and tidy... It's as if you've never lived there.
Most of your things are gone, and what was from them was on the bed.
Geto looked sadly at the piece of paper.
And he felt a strong pull on his shoulder.
He looked at his weeping friend.
"We have to find her!" he shouted. "I don't want to lose her! Not like this! Just do not!"
Running into the forest, they began to search.
As well as a few others they might have found along the way.
Curses and sorcerers were looking for you.
Geto was practically ready to send half of his curse arsenal to give them one order. For them to find you.
They couldn't sense your energy.
There could be two reasons for this. That your energy isn't that much, and you're also able to hide it.
Or your energy is already disappearing with your life...
The dark-haired man suddenly stood still as the curse gave him an image of what it had seen.
His knees almost gave out under him.
They were late...
As they both appeared next to you, your body lay motionless on the ground.
They ran up to you, looking at the thirty-meter-high rise from which you probably jumped, landing against a vertical stone wall.
Gojo let out a weeping howl filled with pain as he grabbed your body and turned you onto your back. Feeling your body limp and soft.
Like your bones don't hold your body.
Your eyes with tears at the corners were slightly open. Blood was oozing from his mouth and nose.
As he placed your body in his lap, he felt and saw your blood running down his hands.
Your face suddenly turned red in some places, your neck was covered with drops of blood.
Your chest and sides were soft. He couldn't feel the bones. It was as if everything was shattered.
Your head covered in blood from the back.
Your legs are broken. Your hands.
Blood flowing from the wound on your face. Most likely you hit the branches of the tree before falling to the ground.
Which prevented your body from completely disfiguring. Totally breaking everything.
The white shirt was covered in your blood as Gojo hugged you, crying in pain of loss.
Something he had never wanted to see was now in front of his eyes.
Your still warm but immobile body...
You were so selfish doing it.
Have you thought about them at all?
How could you even think they would hate you?!
White Hair's body trembled as his hands tightened around you.
Geto stared petrified at the two people he had ever loved like this in his life.
Tears and blood.
Your dead eyes that look the way they did for three years...
When he came to his senses from freezing, he wiped his tears with his sleeve and ran to the other side, pulling Gojo's body away from you. And put his ear to your bloody chest.
Listening to see if your heart was still beating, he watched as Satoru wiped the blood from your face with his fingers before resting his forehead against yours.
There was nothing Geto could hear.
Nothing in you was moving.
He didn't hear your heartbeat. He didn't feel it.
He pulled away with clenched jaw and looked at Satoru's uncovered eyes.
Dilated pupils.
He was sure his own didn't look normal.
"Why... What... Why?!!" groaned Gojo. "She was supposed to be ours all the time... She was supposed to be just for us... We were supposed to be with her always! So why do we have to get this now?!"
Geto said nothing, but cursed in his mind.
"She was always meant to be ours... Only for us! It's our fault! My fault! How could I ever take my eyes off her... We should always be there for her! Maybe then... Sob... Maybe then it wouldn't have happened!"
"Can you teleport in this state...?" Geto asked, clenching his fingers on your limp hand. His own tears were slowly drying on his cheeks as he had a tiny hope.
"Suguru?" murmured the second, looking at the dark-haired man as he held you tighter in his arms.
"Go to Shoko as soon as possible...! I won't accept it until I hear from her that there's nothing I can do! Why couldn't I do anything?!"
"Suguru..." he said as he stood with you in his arms. "When we get her back, it will be different. I will do everything to get her back... I don't know if it will work, if not... Without her, I will fuck up this world. Apart from you, I have nothing here..."
"Take her to Shoko! I don't want her to disappear from our lives!"
The next time he looked ahead, Gojo was gone...
With tears in his eyes and on his cheeks he promised himself one thing...
"If we get her back, I will never let her leave the house again in my life... Never without us..."
When Suguru got there a few minutes later, he saw your body lying on the hard bed while Shoko runs around sticking needles into your skin and attaching anything necessary to see if there's still a chance.
They could say they feel the same pain as you do.
Seeing each of your wounds was as painful for them as it was for you.
The woman was running around looking at your wounds.
She doesn't know if resuscitation is worth it. If your spine is crushed, you don't stand a chance...
She put her hands under your body, tracing your back with her fingers.
If she wasn't mistaken, your spine was intact. She couldn't tell about the damage that might exist inside...
There was so little blood flowing from your open wounds... Your skin was so pale.
This is what the girl she used to play with when you were little and you came to visit them.
Now you were probably dead on her operating table.
"Shoko...?"
"...I don't know if that makes any sense..." She said softly and pushed her fingers lightly against your crushed ribs. "Her limbs are broken, she is not breathing, her heart is not beating... I don't know if her spine is damaged or not. The ribs are crushed, the pelvis fractured, as are the hipbone and collarbone. Internal organs damaged... One lobe of the skull broken..."
"But it can be cured!"
Gojo looked at her with dark eyes.
"You can... But would it make sense to treat a corpse?"
"As long as there's a chance... Do whatever it takes to bring her back to us! She must be with us!"
"Shut the fuck up..." She snarled and stared at the monitor with your pulse, her eyes wide.
It was always the same.
Almost a straight line.
Almost...
There were minimalist deviations from a straight line.
As the woman was reaching for things from the cupboards, they came closer to you to touch you. Just to see you.
"get the fuck out! Get out of here!" She screamed quickly and pulled you closer to the light of the large lamp.
The last chance to see your smile was getting smaller every second.
And they...
They wanted to say goodbye to you like they should before it happened. Or be on time.
Then they wouldn't lose you...
Black clothes were their everyday life.
Mourning color.
They hated life for the fact that even if they save millions of lives, they take away the one most important to them.
The first days were the hardest.
They couldn't smile at all.
Or maybe the black clothes were accidental? The random color of their outfit?
Their house was so dead. You always came to them.
And now you couldn't come.
Because you were here all the time.
It was a miracle that your heart was still beating, even so lightly.
Is it because they wanted you to be immune to everything when you're fighting curses?
Perhaps that was it.
The heart of someone who has committed suicide often beats a little longer, even after everyone thinks they have died.
A person can lose consciousness, lose his breath. But the heart can still work until all life processes are finished.
In your case it was.
Everything except your heart and brain has died.
Your heart beats, your lungs rise and fall.
Your bones are whole, and so is your spine. Everything is in place.
Thanks to this tiny chance of your life.
Reverse Cursed Technique will fix everything...
Apart from a broken heart and psyche.
She didn't have many people who committed suicide to save.
Were it not for the tree branches slowing you down a bit and you fell onto the grass, your spine wouldn't have been crushed.
If all goes well, you'll look at them again someday.
Right after you wake up from your coma.
You was in a hospital in Tokyo for a month. The best hospital for you. The best equipped room.
At least one of them was with you every day. Sometimes both of them would come and sit with you for a few hours.
It was terrifying for the nurses who passed by there. Seeing two men look at you with a smile while talking to you.
A lot of people talk to coma patients.
However, this was something else.
They told you they would never let you do something like that again. That you'll never be anywhere but them again.
That they'll never let you go again.
When your condition was stable enough, you were transferred to their home.
Where your dream continued until after almost another month.
They changed every day.
One day, Gojo was at home with you while Geto was working, and the next day, Geto was at home while Gojo was working.
Counting the days until you wake up.
And when it happened, Geto was at home.
As he saw your eyelids twitch, he called Gojo and they both looked at you, waiting for this moment.
And when your eyes opened, you weren't thrilled to be alive.
But it was different...
You saw their tears of happiness as they sat next to you.
And your oxygen mask was taken off when Satoru pinned your lips to his. To make space for Suguru later.
What was that supposed to mean?
They put a plastic mask over your face to make it easier for you to breathe.
"Welcome home, honey."
You looked at them. Your body is full of fatigue.
"Don't worry. We'll never let you do that again."
"You'll never leave again. It's safe for you here."
"Here you will receive our love."
"Because we love you."
"Do not get up. I'll carry you."  Your body was lifted, and the white-haired man carried you to the bathroom, placing you in a large bathtub, next to Suguru's chest.
Then he undressed himself and stepped into the water, positioning your legs above his.
You reached for the sponge with a weak hand, but they were faster.
Ieiri said that you will be in bed for a very long time.
And you'll never go back to strenuous physical exertion, or especially to being a sorcerer.
"We will never let you be alone. One of us will always be with you. Or both of us."
"...Why...?" You murmured softly with your head resting on Suguru's shoulder.
"Why?" the dark-haired man repeated before they giggled softly.
Satoru grabbed your chin and moved closer to you.
"Because we can't trust you after this, baby." He said with a smile.
You knew that what you did was in their trust. That you wanted to kill yourself.
They had nothing else against you.
But they kept telling you that they love you.
You started to believe it...
It was possible for your sparkle in your eyes to reappear.
It's like you've been given a third chance at happiness in life.
NO.
This wasn't another chance.
It was the one you had.
And they saved that chance for you.
You were supposed to be happy now...
They don't leave you one step.
They only let you get up and walk the moment they are next to you and you hold on to them.
You are so weak...
You're having a hard time.
Shoko said you'd be better than what you are now, but it'll never be perfect.
Even after being treated with a reverse cursed technique.
Your body was already dying, and here's a sign of it.
You will still need to be with them for your support.
And they won't let you do anything without them anymore.
Baths, meals, sleep.
It was too early for you to take you to the higher heights of a relationship. More than just hugging and kissing, it needed you to be a little stronger in the body than you are now.
They explained their relationship to you.
They love you the most, but for years they have liked each other.
You accept it.
Now you even enjoy when they kiss and then run to kiss you even longer.
Most of the time you woke up with them on either side of you. They held your hands and hugged you. They kept smiling at you.
And all this made your smile come back after almost 365 days.
And you looked at them with a twinkle in your eyes. With love.

Marlene and Mary's last conversation
"You quit the order? We haven't even gone on a single mission yet!"
Mary looked up from her magazine, "what?"
"Minerva told me! She said you went to her and Dumbledore about it the other day!"
"I did", Mary said, dropped the magazine on her bed and folding her arms, "Why are you so mad about it?"
Marlene huffed, still standing by the door, "because you left the order! That's our future, Mary!"
"No it fucking isn't!"
"Of course it is! We're meant to fight!"
"You go do that then, but don't drag me into it!"
"Drag you into it? It was your choice! I didn't make you do anything!"
"Well what are you doing right now then, huh?"
The two turned as footsteps were heard, Lily and Emmeline appearing just behind Marlene in the doorway.
Marlene whipped her head to glare at the two, "Do you two know about this?"
Lily promptly grabbed Emmeline's hand and dragged her out the room and down the stairs.
Mary spoke again, "I told Emmeline about it and she's fine with my decision. I gave her my wand; since school's over now, I won't need it."
"Your wand? What are you leaving the whole world, are you?"
Mary stood up, wordless.
"You are..."
"I am. My sister said I could stay with her and her girlfriend until I get my own place."
"I don't fucking care; you can't just leave us!"
"I'm leaving the war, if any of you decide to do the same then I'll let you stay in my life."
"Stay in your life? What the fuck doss that mean?"
"Do you even understand what your life will be like once we leave? It'll be constant danger, constant violence, constant fear! Why would I ever want to be a part of that again!"
Marlene froze, a look of realisation taking over her eyes, "This is about Mulciber."
Mary didn't speak.
"You left the order because of him?"
Mary nodded, sitting back down on her bed. Marlene swore, turning to bang her head slightly on the doorframe.
She turned back to Mary after a moment, "Leaving the war, leaving the world, leaving us, is just giving him power. That's what people like him want you to do, you shouldn't let them."
Mary glared, "You can't tell me what I can and can't do, Marlene."
"Yes, I can! He's the one who can't, and yet you're letting him have exactly what he wants! Mary, I'm your best friend!"
"Well you're acting like your mother right now."
Marlene glared back, "Fuck you."
"You've complained to me for seven years about how controlling your mother is, making plans for your entire future. And that's exactly what you're doing to me now!"
"Because we made those plans together and now you're just leaving me!"
"Not everything is about you, Marlene.."
Marlene folded her arms, tears in her eyes, "James and Sirius would never leave each other."
"God, we're not them! Don't you get that? I get that James abandoned you for his bloody soulmate or whatever, and so you found me to abandon him for. But you can't just pretend to be him forever!"
"That is not-"
"Not true? Oh come on, you act like his parents are yours, you made out with Lily when he started liking her, you joined the quidditch team when you found out he was, and you befriended me when he left you for Sirius. I know you barely graduated, but even you should get how weird that is."
Marlene stared at Mary, her friend looking back with a gaze full of defence before skirting her eyes to the floor.
"I know we're not James and Sirius."
Mary didn't look up.
"We're Marlene and Mary. And I thought that meant something, but clearly not!"
"Marls-"
"No! You want to leave me? Fine! Go fuck off and be a coward like always!"

Busy with important family events over the next couple of days, and so I thought it would be good to get a day-and-date release for this Debrief on the latest entry in my Sapphic Valley series, "How You Get The Girl." Be sure to read the story before jumping in!
Did you do it? Did you read the story?
Alright, I'm trusting you. Go ahead and hit that 'Keep Reading' button you scamp.
It only seems appropriate to start this Debrief off by addressing the elephant in the room. I haven't posted anything in over a month, and "By Moonlight" came about a month after its predecessor, the conclusion to "Stone-Cold Lovers."
Work, naturally, has been a major factor.
You can see me talk about that almost two weeks ago in this Tumblr post I made about writing in a coffee shop, which came weeks after I actually started writing during a trip to a friend's house.
===
Side note:
Tumblr media
Just wanted to take a moment and acknowledge my beautiful Haley and Emily keychains. My friend who's responsible for the affairs of one ghostly farmer named Jizzabelle (Gisabelle to the laymen) got them for me! Only appropriate after I commissioned some art of her and Abigail.
Emily was my first Stardew wife, and Haley currently holds the biggest place in my heart. They make a lovely duo!
And I'll avoid any sister-wife jokes
===
While I've had some other projects like Zine writing to take care of, work and life can't explain the full absence.
The best way I can think to explain things is that:
I had the general writer's block, and
Despite the best intentions and advice of my irl friends and online pals like @alchemicallymoon and @duelbraids, I couldn't force myself to "break" that block by just... Writing something else.
This is entirely the result of my own psychosis. I have a tendency to carefully plot things out and impose a timetable that really doesn't need to exist. When I feel the cause is righteous enough, it's hard to get around that. In this case, I knew I needed to get my poll-winning idea out after dawdling for holidays like Valentine's Day, and then I knew I only wanted to post one more story before jumping on a very special event for my upcoming 30th AO3 post.
Thus, here we are: arbitrarily forcing myself into a spiral of writer's block misery because of a silly promise on Tumblr and my own sense of ordered chaos.
At the very least, this meant it's coming out not long after my AO3 pal InsertACatchyPennameHere also emerged from the woodwork to tell me they're working on something INSPIRED by my four-person friend group farm adaptations.
Much love to them, wherever they may be.
I'll probably start writing more eclectically now that my shoulders are unweighed, but don't expect my next publication to hit until I'm finished working on teasing the big event. All you Pokemon fans better get hype!
Tumblr media
And oh how sweet this publication feels. Between my great set of recent ceramics, the figure drawing class I've been attending, and creative writing, I've felt more fulfilled than ever.
You're here to talk about Stardew, though. So let us talk.
This idea began less with any one event as it did a desire to advance the Alexis/Haley relationship, and Haley's characterization in particular. It was always going to end with watercolor painting reference, but 2 Willow Lane was what I really wanted to dig into.
As I see it, a lot of what keeps people invested in Stardew when its comfy vibes becoming routine is the air of mystery in Eric Barone's worldbuilding. Haley and Emily's parents being some world-traveling duo who left their home in the siblings' care for who knows how long (and who knows how many times over their lifetime) really piqued my interest. So much so that the new writing challenge I set for myself in "How You Get The Girl" was crafting a particularly long set of descriptions that emphasize how overwhelming the parents' influence feels — without creating an impenetrable wall of text.
Hopefully I succeeded in that. Let me know!
I tried to include some vaguely real world-adjacent references into that description of the house, as happens with the magical-realism world of Stardew Valley. For example:
The computer sitting next to their bonsai tree is an iMac G3, the kind of old 'futuristic' tech that my dad loves!
A Speedwell refrigerator is based on even more vintage tech, the Mayflower fridge, but named after a different ship ridden by Pilgrims coming to America.
That city that the family visited in an old photograph with a "monument of arching, interlocking steel" is, of course, Paris — with the statue bookends referencing any number of statues in the Louvre.
Haley's FAD magazine could be referencing any number of publications, but Vogue is probably the closest analogue to what I imagine her reading.
Furthermore, I took some notes on describing the home's layout off of my sister's apartment building, and I asked my bestie @trybard for input on what kind of hanging plant should be used in the transitional hallway. Hanging pothos, philodendron, and spider plants were the three options provided, and my response was appropriate:
Tumblr media
They know so much about plants.
Go bug them about it.
I drew on other friends' knowledge to help decorate the house. Specifically, I asked one of my witchiest friends what kinds of protective wards someone like Emily would leave around doorways and windows. She had... A lot of reference material.
Tumblr media
I picked Hazel given it purportedly "protects against evil; encourages abundance and inspiration." I also picked Amethyst as one of Emily's loved gifts, one that purportedly "absorbs negative energy, promotes harmony."
My witchy friend is the same one who provided the TikTok that I referenced in my advertisement post:
Perhaps the most important thing about 2 Willow Lane was the recurring motif of Barbie's Dream House.
As a surface-level reference, I think the groundwork is clear. Blondie's love of fashion and general queen bee demeanor fits comparisons to Barbie well, and she lives in a big ol' house full of stuff. We all saw Greta Gerwig's Barbie movie last year. It's still in the cultural zeitgeist.
I'm hip with the kids.
Yet, early on I also tried to make it clear that if this is a "dream" house, it's neither Haley's nor Emily's dream. Haley is a Barbie in that stereotypical sense, but also there's much to be mined from the analogy of a sort of powerless doll in an immutable house, constrained by social obligation to her family rather than literal plastic and stickers.
The cold open of Jodi and Sam was meant to stand alone, but in execution I also think drawing Kent's absence into the conversation makes for a more thematically rich comparison to these sisters who appear to have themselves more put together.
My beta reader said this wound up being one of my stronger stories because of how all of that intertwined, which I appreciated given how down on myself I was following the whole writer's block thing.
But also.
Also.
Alexis gets to be horny. She's hitting on lonely MILFs and watching girls shake their asses to the tune of bad reality TV.
We love a buff dommy mommy farm girl in this house.
Haley is probably horny too, she just doesn't realize it yet. For now I think it's fun enough to play into her being coy about building excuses for Alexis to come over, and then getting incensed when Emily barges in on their private time meant to learn more about this farm girl she just can't get out of her head.
Tumblr media
===
Fun fact:
Every story in this series is named after a Taylor Swift song, but I know next-to nothing about her discography. All of them are suggestions by my friend whose house I was at when starting this story — the same one who controls Gardenia on the farm.
While I went with "How You Get The Girl," her alternative suggestion was "The Man."
===
All that w|w talk aside, I also want to give Sam the loveable idiot a shoutout. Had to do a fair bit of research into how skateboards are constructed for his failed ollie, and I slipped in a reference to shitty old technology that's exclusively for my beta reader to enjoy.
I also tried doing some agricultural research to figure out how the folks at Kevin Farm could have grown cucumbers so there'd be a jar of legitimate pickles... But that was getting too in the weeds.
Insert laugh track here
Decided to just go with pickled artichoke hearts to save everyone a lot of trouble.
And where does "Kevin Farm" come from, you may be asking yourself. Or the fabulous "Kevin's Special" with its definitely not innuendo tagline.
That story will have to wait for another day, my friends.

I cann’t stop thinking about Russian Robin because one night in the anniversary of The Starcourt Mall Fire Robin gets all misty eyed like - torture, what torture? - I mean yeah but I also lost my best friend then and Nancy is confused because who???
It's Alexei. After Starcourt burned down, Robin tried to find him, only to be told through code he was executed as a traitor of the Soviet Union state, and that she needs to stay on task of watching these weird children as they deal with the supernatural as if her best friend didn't completely turn on his own mission???
> Political thriller.
> Home life? The two people posing as her parents are also spies. Richard Buckley is posing as a transfer cop. Melissa Buckley is one meant to spy on Joyce Byers but after they move to California, she is told to keep an eye on the Karen Wheeler (Ronance forbidden love angst come on)
> Is. Robin. Buckley. Her. Real. Name?
> Robin misses the winters and the food most of all, and Steve keeps believing Robin is still teaching herself Russian because he catches her mumbling words to herself for the rest of the. very. hot. summer. of. 1985.
> Nancy is slapped by the realization she is completely in love with Robin, the first time it snows this winter and she sees the utter bliss on the girl's face when she walks around the cold in a simple sports jacket.
> Nancy very much moans when Robin cooks her the most delicious soup she's ever been graced with.
> For all her brilliance, Robin still instinctively counts height, weight, distance, temperature with the Metric System and everyone is confused until she smiles an innocent thing and quickly switches to the American one. KGB gives her a hard time about it.
> Her KGB handler is another young girl with a beautiful voice that Nancy once hears through the closed door of Family Video’s backroom after hours and almost kneels over in jealousy because who is this angel talking gibberish to Robin?
> Robin lives in absolute terror for about a week after and damn nearly ships herself to China so she can never be found from both Russian and American intelligence, because of how careless she’s gotten in these spaces she very much feels comfortable to simply be.
> Coming out to Steve under the truth serum she up and down swore to her officials she can handle yes sir thank you very much - was her biggest slip up in all her years as a spy. She also lives in absolute fear KGB will find out and kick her out of the mission.
> She doesn't exactly turn like Alexei did but after Vecna and That Trauma, she calls KGB like yes, hi, no more, please, i care about these kids now and this is personal, but this is a political thriller my dear don’t you know the gerne you’re in? so they are like huh, no? We need you keep doing the work until the last of these children leaves Hawkins. There is a contract and everything?
> The ANGST when the truth comes out...... like Steve doesn't talk to Robin for about a year after. Nancy cannot get over it ("Was everything an act then?" (SCREAMING) "Nancy, please..." "I don't believe anything you are saying, Robin. Stay away from me". (WHEELS AND BRAKES SCREECHING ON ASPHALT))
> Somehow, Erica is the only one sticking close to Robin after. Like the kid is impressed to the point of which she cannot be mad and actually no this one has sticked by our sides through hell despite orders and has protected us and it is truly a miracle they haven't executed her too.
> Both Nancy and Steve get misty eyed, they talk, they agree, they go to find Robin and wipe her a new one but accept her back and Erica is like "Oh, yeah, she is going back to Russia".
> Robin. Buckley. Is. Not. Her. Real. Name.

An update of my chaotic life/an explanation to all my moots, readers and followers who interact with me 🤍
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
TW: family issues
Things are real tough with my parents right now. We had a big fight, horrible one, but, after some time everybody apologized (but not my mother. it's rare that she says "sorry" for anything) and now things are more peaceful but the air is still heavy, y'know? So that's one of the main reasons why I've been MIA lately, why I haven't been answering your messages and asks, but, God, I still love you all LIKE CRAZY, so, so much (for real) and I have, like, the next 4 Chapters (or more. not sure) of Realize where you belong saved. They're almost ready, I just have to write a few more things and edit them and they will be ready to be posted! ♡ even though this one is by far the darkest, most raw fanfic I've ever written (so hard to put reader and Neteyam through so much but I PROMISE it will all make sense and be worth it in the end!), it's been such a great experience and a bit of a challenge to write this story, for so many reasons, which is wonderful. And I'm also so happy with the fact that this is my most "famous" (I don't like using this word. Gives me the ick) fanfiction so far and I DID NOT anticipate this AT ALL! It's amazing 🥲🥰 Sorry for being so inactive and taking long to answer y'all (and not being able to answer everyone 🥺), my life is really hard rn. Today my kitten is going to be spayed and she will spend the night at the clinic and me and my bf are really worried about her (she's our lil daughter 🐈‍⬛🥺) and I'll have to take care of her post surgery healing process almost all by myself for the next weeks (my bf works until late at night) so... I've got a lot on my plate rn. I really need to focus on taking care of myself, of my loved ones and on surviving and thriving through it all. It'd be lovely if you guys would leave me some nice comments in this post. Your kind words always make me feel better. Thank y'all for everything and wish y'all only the very best 🙏🏻 💖 kiss kiss 💋 💌

I want you back
-> Does she really hates him for what he did?
-> Word Count: 970
->Author note: another childhoold love lol <3 English is not my first language so sorry for mistakes
Tumblr media
Max Verstappen's story is one that is both heartwarming and heartbreaking. The young driver has had a tough life, but he's always had his friends by his side.
Less his childhood best friend who he pushed apart because she came from a poor background, what happens if she starts working for Red Bull? This creates a rift between the two friends, but as they say, there is always room for redemption. Will Max be able to mend fences with his old friend? Or will their differences continue to drive them apart?
-What are you doing here?- He growls at her, who was editing photos in her laptop after been contrated by red bull as the team's social media manager .
-I'm doing my job, what about you?- She retorts, who's also covering the event for the social media of red bull. Max is clearly bothered by her presence and his words are more harsh than he intended them to be. He knows he was scolding an innocent person, but it's all triggered by the memories of their past.
Lara had a rough childhood where money was tight and they don't have much of anything. Her mum, who worked in a local grocery store can't make ends meet, so most of the time they go hungry. The only time when they're not starving is when Lara's mom manages to bring some food home after her shifts. When they grow up to be teenagers, Lara gets a job at McDonald's while Max dreams of becoming a Formula 1 driver. This means that she has to stop going to school to support her family, while Max attends a prestigious driving academy which costs more than what she makes in two months of work combined.
As expected, their worlds become apart as Lara becomes resentful towards him for being born into a wealthy family while she has to suffer every day just to put food on the table. The worst part is that he doesn't even seem to care about how hard her life is since his parents are always there for him with whatever he desires. One day, Max finally snaps and confront her about how unfair she's been treating him and their friendship ends there. They don't talk to each other for years until they both end up working in Formula 1. By then, Max has already forgiven her but he knows that it will take more time for her to do the same. However, he never expects that she will also be working for Red Bull as well! The thing is, she doesn't know that he did and he doesn't intend to ever tell her. The reason being that he knows she's still not over what happened between them and if she knew it was him, she wouldn't forgive him either.
-I can see that- he says clearly annoyed at her tone.- I refer what are you doing here in red bull. -So what if I'm working for Red Bull? It's not like it's a secret or anything. -Lara says trying to sound casual but she can't help but wonder why he's being so cold towards her. -Of course it isn't. It's just that I never expected to see you here, that's all. -he says quickly before Lara is turning her attention back to her work. Max is about to say something but decides against it and walks away.
He knows there's no point in trying to talk to her when she's acting like this.
A few weeks later, Max is in his car on the way to the Red Bull factory when he gets a call from his sister. He knows she's been trying to set him up with her friend for weeks now but he's been avoiding it. He doesn't want to date anyone right now, especially not someone his sister has chosen for him. However, she's persistent and he knows that if he doesn't do something, she'll keep bugging him about it. -Hey, Max. I just wanted to remind you about my friend Sarah. You know, the one I've been trying to set you up with? -Yeah, I know who you're talking about. -But you haven't even met her yet! -I don't want to meet her, okay? I'm not interested in dating anyone right now. -Why not? It's been two years since your ex-girlfriend dumped you and you haven't even looked at another girl since then. -I'm just not ready yet, alright? -Fine, don't date Sarah then but at least meet her. She's really nice and I think you two would get along great. -Fine, I'll meet her but that's it. I'm not promising anything more than that. -Great! I'll let her know and we'll meet you at the café near your apartment tonight at 7:00 pm. See you then! He hangs up the phone and sighs deeply. He knows his sister means well but he can't help but feel annoyed by her constant attempts to set him up with someone new. He knows she just wants him to be happy but he doesn't want to date anyone right now. He loved his ex-girlfriend very much and he can't imagine being with anyone else right now.
He arrives at the Red Bull factory and parks his car in the parking lot. She sees Verstappen walking towards him and wonders what he's doing here so early in the morning.-Hey, Max.- Verstappen greets her with a smile.- What are you doing here so early?-I could ask you the same question.- Max replies as they walk inside the building together.-I just wanted to get an early start on things.- She says casually.-You're always so dedicated to your work.-I have to be if I want to be the best.- Max replies with a shrug.-I guess that's one of the things we have in common.- Lara says with a smile.-Yeah, I guess it is.- Max replies as they stop in front of their respective offices.-Well, I'll see you later.-Yeah, see you.- Max says as he watches her walk away before going into his own office and starting his day.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Next race was Zandvoort, his home race so he was going to his childhood home for the week.
-Hoi mam, ik ben thuis (hi mom,im home) - he yells when he enters through the front door.
-Mijn jongen hoe knap je eruit ziet (Hello baby, how handsome you look) - she says with a smile.
-Lara's mum called, she is in red bull in media, have you seen her?- neither of them told their mum's that they didn't talked anymore. -No, I haven't.- he says while they walk to the kitchen where dinner was ready.
When he walks into the garage on Sunday morning Max sees Lara with Helmut and Christian talking about something. He sees her smile and laugh and keeps looking at her completely mesmerized by what she does to him without even knowing it when she's not even trying to make him feel like that., Max.- Christian yells as he pushes Max towards Lara who just started laughing again. -Nice save.- she teases as her eyes meet Max's for a moment before looking away from him quickly, holding his breath as she does it too and hands him the sheet of paper before turning around again. She wanted to turn around just one last time but if he sees her do that she knows what will happen next so instead she walks away leaving Max standing there alone watching after her..- Helmut asks after a minute when Max still doesn't say anything or follow them back inside so they can get ready for qualifying which was in 45 minutes. It was always hard for him focusing on races because right now all he could think about was that girl walking away from him, leaving him wanting more.
It was hate between them or there was something more behind the facade. He was afraid to find out what it was, though. He has been burned before and he was trying to gain her back, at least to be back friends again.
Zandvoort was insane with the orange army there so Max was estatic and he won the race. After all the post-race interviews, he went to find her to admit why he did what he did that years ago.
"I'm sorry for what I did," he said. "I was an idiot and I was trying to get your attention. I was jealous of your boyfriend and I wanted to get back at you. I was stupid and immature and I hope you can forgive me." She looked at him, her eyes full of tears. "Of course I forgive you," she said. "I've been wanting to talk to you for years but I was too scared and hurt. I'm sorry for what I did too."
They hugged each other tightly, both of them crying. They finally had closure and they could move on with their lives. “I want you to came to Monaco with me, to a date” -He offers - "I would love that"- she admits- it's been rough this years without you. " She smiled and they went home to start packing for their trip.
"Ik houd van je schatje" "ik hou ook van jou " (I love you baby/ I love you too)
Finally, they were getting the happy ending they deserved.

i don't talk much about mental health stuff on here but y'know we're having a bit of a moment and i think it's best to get it out of the system so. i guess this is a vent post, fair warning if you do read any of it i will be talking rather extensively about my experiences with depression
anyway i really don't feel like. i mean, there are times i can convince myself that i probably don't actually have depression, like, i feel fine. most of the time, i think. but then there are times like the last few weeks, where i just get. sad, and lonely, and tired, and there doesn't seem to be any reason i should be but it's there anyway. and there are times i convince myself that even that's normal, i mean, it's not like i've ever actually tried to kill myself, right? i spent almost all of secondary school wishing i would just disappear like i'd never existed at all, i wanted to die, but i never did anything did i? i hardly even self harmed, i mean, i can remember, what, once? but like. it doesn't take much reflection to realise that it's not normal for a fucking child to be crying in a corner thinking it would be better for everyone if they were gone and planning to just stay there until they died, thinking or hoping that no one would even notice. but i have so many memories of that exact thing. from so far back. and in a lot of ways i think. i feel like my life was good, too good to justify my ever feeling like that. but god i was so fucking lonely as a child. i can count on one had the number of friends i had in all of primary school and. it's not like i was ever really alone, but it was always sort of, there was the group, and there was one or two members of the group i was friends with. and they all had other friends, but i didn't. i was just. hanging around the edges. until, i think about year 8, because my best friend (that was only the second person i'd ever thought of as my best friend. the first was in year 2-3 ish but he moved away and i never saw him again) had moved and there were. a lot of other things as well, my parents getting divorced, the very first hints of my first gender crisis, i'd just gotten diagnosed with autism and barely fucking knew what that meant but i did realise on some level that there was something wrong with me (which included registering the depression since i finally knew that was a thing. but at that point i'd been dealing with it for so long that it hardly felt like a serious problem).
but anyway, that was the first year i was really, really alone. i had no friends whatsoever for nearly all of that year and i was a mess. i honestly barely have any memories of it but there are several of crying at school which i. do not fucking do. because i. don't really cry anymore, i hardly can even if i want to. i did make new friends in the years after that, but still, the ones i was friends with then i don't really talk to now. and i do have friends now. but i still have that feeling, even though i'm more part of the group now, i have five or six frineds instead of one or two, i feel like i'm just hanging onto the edges, they're all better friends with eachother than any of them are with me, and. and the person who's been my best friend for the past two years is gone and i might never see them again and i'm afraid that even if i do they might. we both might be so different that we don't fit together anymore. i haven't seen them in months i don't even know if they're okay. i feel like i'm getting farther away from the rest of the group and i don't know what i'll do if i lose them too. i feel like i don't hardly mmatter to any of them, i barely speak when we're all together and so much of it feels like i'm trying too hard and i just. i feel like i don't care enough about people because if i did i would put in more effort to be a better friend i would put up more of a fight when i felt myself drifting away from the people i love but. but i don't. every single time i just let it happen and don't do a single fucking thing about it and then they forget me. and it probably is better that way because i was never a very good friend to anyone was i. i'm so scared that i'm never going to be able to live on my own but i know i'll never find anyone who wants to stay with me long enough or be close enough to me to live with me. no one cares and no one is going to care about me enough for that and that's fucking fine. i don't do a single fucking thing to deserve it anyway
anyway i don't have a nice neat way to wrap this up and i don't fucking care anyway because no one's going to read this far in the first place so

Robin sat at home, eyes trained on some miscellaneous object in the distance as she heard the muffled sounds of her mother and sister in the other room. Bradley had brought her home that afternoon, driving her back to the house and dropping her off.
She had begged for him to stay and he reluctantly agreed. They had ordered pizza in and had sat and watched a film.
She was enjoying the domesticity of the whole thing and could almost imagine the rest of her life with him. She could imagine marrying this man, having his children, working in the hangar together until they retired.
The thought made her smile and she ignored all the issues that they had just for a second as she imagined their house, brimming with joy. It seemed perfect.
He walked back in, sitting down next to her and she wanted to forget about the mission and just hang out like they weren't scared of what was going to happen and scared that he could die, leaving her.
He only had her and Maverick, the latter was more estranged from his life. He didn't want to have to put all the pressure on her, even now.
“How are you after today?” he asked, looking into her eyes.
She sighed, “Better, I haven't really reacted like that for a while. I guess all the emotions of Allana were all brought back up with the crash,” she explained.
When they had gone down, all Robin could think about was the sight of her best friend dead in her arms in that forest. It wasn't just Allana who died that day, part of Robin had died too. She had broken her leg and had crawled all the way to her best friend, her head bludgeoned against the rock. The image still haunted her, in nightmares, during the day, earlier today when she had envisioned the same thing happening to Phoenix or Bob.
She remembered having to tell Allana's parents about what had happened and the moment that her mother had broken down in tears in her fathers arms. Her younger sister had been called as well and the girl just sobbed over the phone.
“I was really worried about you,” he said, a sad smile on his face as he looked at him.
“You really helped me Bradley, it meant a lot that you cared so much,” she said.
She wanted to tell him just how much it had helped her. Just his presence had calmed her down completely and just knowing that he cared enough to stay made her forget it all.
That's one thing that this mission has allowed her to do. She had managed to forgive him for everything that happened in the years prior.
"I'm worried about the mission too,” he stated, shaking his head, “Its stupid, I know,”
"You don't have to be worried," she replied, placing her hand over his.
"What if I don't make it this time?" he asked, running his hand through his hair. Robin cant remember the last time that she had seen him this worried.
"Don't say stuff like that," Robin said, the thought hurting too much.
She was scared as well. Scared that she would be in that command room in three days and she would be listening to his plane crash into the cavern. That she would have to sit and do nothing as his plane exploded from a missile. She felt completely helpless at the idea and even after the target practice today, she was still horrified.
"But what if I don't? There's so much I want to tell you," he said, fingers tracing liht patterns on her skin.
"Then tell me," she said,  smile on her face as she encouraged him to open up to her, "Brad, I'm always gonna be here for you and you know that you can tell me anything,"
"I want to tell you why I left," he said, averting his gaze from hers, almost like
"Okay," she said.
He took a deep breath, “I had found this box of stuff from my mum, like letters and notes and pictures of my family before my dad died,” he explained and she could see the tears beginning to form in his eyes as he told her about what was happening, “And all I could think of was you. I wanted this life with you and I had thrown it all away,”
He ran a hand through his hair, almost nervous as he explained the situation to her.
“So I drove to San Diego to see you again, to make it all better and I saw you sitting on a bench with Allana. You were eating ice cream I think and I realised how happy you looked there, happier without me,” he explained, biting his lip as he looked over at her, “And I didnt want to hurt you again so I drove away to my next mission,”
“But why did you leave in the first place?” Robin questioned. It was the only question that she wanted the answer to, something that he had been avoiding since they had gotten back.
He took a deep breath looking away from her. It was like he was trying to find the right words to explain but they were coming to him, “I remember being five years old and watching my mother sob in Mavericks arms as he told her about my dad having died. I, uh, I remember the weeks afterwards where she didn't seem at peace in her own home and I remember the tears in her eyes whenever we'd look at pictures or home videos,” he explained, “I was distraught after my dad's death but didn't quite understand how he could be dead. I didn't understand the workings of life and it broke my heart. I missed bedtime stories or letters he’d send home when deployed or the pasta that he used to make all the time because it was the only thing he could cook,”
He laughed at the memory, a sad smile on his face before he looked up at Robin, seeing that the girl had tears in her eyes as she heard his story.
She'd never thought about how much his past had affected him in relationships, about how his fathers death would translate into his fear of commitment and of death, specifically leaving people behind after death.
“I never wanted to do that to anyone. I told myself that I would never put someone through the same thing that I had to go through, that my mother had to go through,” he smiled as he looked up at her, “But then I met you. The most beautiful, funny and caring girl in the world who wasn't afraid to embarrass herself or stand up for others or get her hands dirty. I met you and I forgot about it all,”
She was crying now, hand squeezing him as she noticed the tears that were welling up in his eyes too. She had never really seen him cry that much so it was clear he was emotional about what he was talking about.
“Then I fell in love with you and I thought that it would be better to break your heart now then later when you had to bury me. I fell so madly in love with you that I wanted to start a family with you and then I realised that if I died, I'd leave you a widow with children to raise. I would have left my own child in the same way my dad had and I couldn't do that to you. You deserved the world, you deserved better than me,”
“Bradley, all I ever wanted was you,” she said, her words coming out as a sob.
“You didn't deserve the same life as my mother had. You deserved a husband who was there all the time and you didn't deserve to be a widow. So I made the decision to spare your feelings in the long run,” he explained, a single tear rolling down his cheek at his words.
Now it all made sense, why he left so quickly, the reasons why he left. Robin felt a bit dumb for not having figured it out earlier.
She knew that if he could, he'd go back and though it would be difficult, he would have chosen to stay with her and honestly, that meant the world.
“Don't leave me again, next time you feel like that, you talk to me about it,” she said, a hand on his cheek.
He leaned into her touch, a smile on his face, “I'm never leaving you again sweetheart,” he said, the words a promise to her. It was an oath and he wasn't going to break it.
He pulled her closer to him so she was on his lap, body pressed up against him.
"God you're so perfect," he whispered as he nuzzled his head against her neck, inhaling her sweet smell. It was distinct to her, this mix between vanilla and engine grease that he used to find hilarious and now, now he just found it addictive.
He could have spent forever in her arms
"I'm never-" he pressed a kiss to her jaw, "never," he kissed her cheek, "never," he kissed her lips, "-ever letting go of you again,"
She giggled, like a schoolgirl, and it made him laugh, the two falling into the domestic vibes of the moment. It seemed like just for a moment it was them against the world.
It was so euphoric, the way that his lips were moving against hers, his hands sliding under her shirt. He never wanted to forget the curves of her body or the feel of her skin against his.
The moment was so perfect until they realised that they were in Robin's house and her sister and mother were just next door.
“Ew!” They heard a shrill voice exclaim and both turned to the doorframe to see Amelia standing there, arms crossed and a look of disgust plastered on her face as she realised what her sister was doing.
“Leave us alone Amelia,” Robin said as Bradley placed his head on her chest to hide the red flush on his cheeks, his deep laugh reverberating through her chest.
“Leave us alone?” she repeated, questioning it, “This is my house too and you're the ones in a public space making out with each other!”
That was Penny's cue to come out of the kitchen, her brows furrowed in confusion but she understood what her second daughter meant when she saw Bradley and Robin.
His hands were on her hips, no longer under her shirt and he had detached his lips from her neck.
Penny sighed, "I can't believe you two," she stated, suppressing a smile.
She was so glad that after all these years of moping around and dating guys who were never as good as Bradley, the two were back together.
They had always been the perfect duo, never wanting to leave each other's sides and seemingly being able to read each other's minds. They were soulmates. Joined together by some other force that had managed to pull them back together and Penny knew that they were both going to make it back for the mission.
"Mum!" she exclaimed, quickly moving so that she was no longer perched on her boyfriend's lap.
"No, no, it's okay, as long as you guys don't have sex whilst we're on the house," she said with a smirk. They always forget that once upon a time, she was like that too. That once she had snuck around with Maverick behind her father, the admirals, back.
"Oh god," Robin muttered, tucking her head in the crook of Bradleys neck so that her mother didn't have to see the red of her cheeks from how embarrassed she was.
"Hey, you live under my roof, you follow my rules," she said and she looked up, seeing her mothers smug smile.
"Technically I have equal share in the house," Robin stated, her hand still in Bradleys.
"Don't be a smart ass Robin," penny said, raising an eyebrow at her daughter, “We’ll leave you to it, just no sex in the house,”
She groaned, “God, yes mum,” she said and her mum smiled before walking out, ushering an annoyed Amelia out.
Penny smiled to herself. She leant against the door, looking at the scene. They were totally in love with one another and it felt like some sort of fairytale the way that they had gotten back together, like there was an invisible sting pulling them together despite the circumstances.
“I adore you Robin Benjamin,” he said, brushing a piece of her out of her face, tucking it behind her ear.
“I adore you too Bradley Bradshaw,” she said, a blush on her face as she leant in, connecting her lips with his.
She sighed into the kiss. She could have stayed like that forever. The kiss was tender, a loving kiss shared between lovers and for the first time in seven years, that was what they were. Everything felt right and there were no secrets being kept and no lies and no fears, it was just the two of them, together at last.
“You're it for me babe, I’m not leaving again,” he muttered against her lips before leaning in again, hand on the back of her neck as he pulled her towards him.
