When Isabela was little, she would sometimes ask Pepa to come with her while giving out flowers and have a “pink day.” Pepa had a special pink dress to match Isabela, and the two would spend the day together matching.

Mini Profiles: Pepa Madrigal
Tumblr media
Yandere type: Possessive
 Traits: Manipulative, Clingy, Controlling, Violent
Is it Instant love or one that grow over time:
It takes a couple months at the most so it does take some time.
 Delusional level (0-10):
5, it's hard to tell if she is actually delusional or just doesn't care.
How will do they hide their yandere side:
She only hides some parts but not everything since she doesn't really think that she needs to hide them.
 Danger level (0-10):
6, she can do quite a bit of damage even if she doesn't mean to.

Something I Think About Often Regarding Isabela Madrigal
The movie really didn't do her character that much justice... kind of riding her off to be this aggressive sister without explaining why but then chalking it up to "having to be perfect", giving her a song (even though I adored her transformation), and then all was solved with a hug.
They don't go in depth like they do with Luisa before and during Surface Pressure.
They don't mention how truly miserable Isabela must have been, how suffocating that pressure of perfection truly was. Isabela, like the rest of the Madrigals never really had a childhood. She was never able to just breathe and be a human being instead of this plastic, "picture perfect" shell she was forced into.
She didn't have her own life, her own autonomy, and was paralyzed by the fear of disappointing the family, of being shunned. She had to craft this image that was nothing but a lie. Everything was a façade she had to put on for years and it most likely drained the life out of her.
No wonder she was so bitter and angry, sadly Mirabel was the easiest target for this projection of resentment (Not excusing it, just making an observation.)
And when she is finally able to express her true self, Alma indirectly scolds her for it. (Yes, it is mainly geared towards Mirabel. But, she literally said that Isabela was "out of control".)
Isabela's whole life was controlled by others so for Alma to say she was out of said control must have really hurt her. Hell, in that scene she looks like a scared little girl.
Overall, I wish the movie delved deeper into this. But hey, the fandom is doing it for them so it's all good ^-^

Biography: The second-born triplet of Bruno and Eliza, Elias is known for being the crankiest Madrigal. Grave thinking, earnest and aggressive, people oftentimes avoid crude humor around Elias due to his pessimistic nature. On Elias's 5th birthday, he received the gift to walk into dreams and interpret their meanings. Elias grew into his gift by interpreting the dreams of the townspeople, developing a deep understanding of the world that is the dream-realm. He lives in the shadow of his father Bruno as a prophet and sometimes gets the cold shoulder from those who mistrust him. Out of all of his children, Bruno and Elias probably have the tightest bond. Elias puts his papi high on a pedestal and aspires his kindness and patience. Although he would never admit it (especially to his sisters), Elias secretly wishes he had more of his father's sweet nature.
-
A few fun facts:
• Elias lacks the ability to dream but he suffers from sleep paralysis
• He has mild OCD and can't stand an untidy space
• Although he doesn't do it often, he can sing
• He loves forestry and likes to spend his free time hiking and studying plants

My first character sheet is done yaaay!! (AHHHHH he's my boy, I love him so much <3 he's probably my favorite oc atm and I can't wait to keep developing his character and story ahhhhhhhh <33333)

✨Mirabel the Miracle- Parallels at the Beginning and End of Disney's Encanto ✨
While rewatching Encanto for the fiftieth time, I noticed some interesting parallels the beginning of the movie shares with the end that I hadn't before. I by no means am claiming to be the first to notice this let alone point it out, but I haven't seen anyone else discuss it so I thought I'd post about it.
The film opens with Alma showing a five year old Mirabel the candle which is heralded as the source of the Madrigal miracle, as well as telling her the story of how the miracle was born.
Tumblr media
The very first words said are from Alma, telling Mirabel (in spanish) to open her eyes and look at the candle. Mirabel goes on to ask "is this where our magic comes from?" To which Alma replies that yes, this is indeed the source of the magic.
The way this shot is composed has the candle as the focal point, and it is the only light source in the scene. This is emphasising how the candle is seen as the most important thing to Alma and the rest of the Madrigal family when it comes to their miracle. The candle, both literally and figuratively, is their source of light. This is the mindset at the beginning of the film and through most of it for not only Alma, but the rest of the family as well.
As Mirabel ends up with no gift, she is ostracized from her family, by Alma most of all. Of course, it is not done with any true malice, as we know it all worked out in the end. The gift is so important to the family that they begin forming rifts between themselves because of it, and one of the ones hit hardest by this is Mirabel. Despite the fact that the miracle was born out of Alma's love for her family and the pain of losing the man she loved most, she wound up putting said miracle before her family. That is, in her actions it seemed that way, despite her heart actually being in the right place.
One of the final scenes, and arguably the most important scene in the last part of the film, has Mirabel installing the front doorknob of Casita. This doorknob was made by the other Madrigals for Mirabel. It is important to note that this doorknob is for the front door, and making is specifically for Mirabel shows how much the rest of the family has changed since the beginning of the events in the film.
To her family, Mirabel is now seen as a precious gift. She is now seen as so important that she should be the one attached to the entire house, not just one room like everyone else.
Tumblr media
Mirabel is again asked to open her eyes. Mirabel looks down at the doorknob, and when asked what she sees she of responds with "I see...me. All of me."
Out of context one might say "Well, duh, you're looking into a reflective surface." But within the context of the story being told, this simple phrase holds so much more meaning than just a girl seeing her reflection.
Mirabel was asked to open her eyes in the beginning to see the source of the miracle, and in this scene she is seeing the source of the miracle again. Or rather everyone, not just her, is seeing the source of the miracle for the very first time. Everyone watches Mirabel as she says what she sees, everyone watches her put the doorknob in, and everyone watches her bring back the miracle.
In this scene, the focal point is Mirabel's face. Even when she puts the doorknob in, the focal point is her hand, not the door. You can also see the rest of the family behind Mirabel, and they are also behind her in the new door when the magic returns. This further shows the true source of the miracle.
Mirabel is not just the miracle, she is the saviour of the miracle. She is the one who brought her family back together and made it stronger. The original source of the miracle was Alma's love for her family, but over time Alma's fear of losing the miracle caused her to misjudge how to lead the family and treat her children and grandchildren, sowing division in the family.
Mirabel was destined to repair this and bring the family back together. Mirabel is the one who saved the source of the miracle. She renewed what Alma already did fifty years prior, which can be seen when Mirabel waves at the reborn Casita much like how Alma waved at Casita when it was first born. Mirabel is Alma's successor, she is the Savior of the miracle, and she is the symbol of what created the miracle in the first place.

Hey! I was wondering if we could possibly get a part 2 to destruction??
A/N: Why, hello anon! Apologies for the mini hiatus that caused me to take so long in writing this! I haven't flexed my writing brain in a loooong time :(
Destruction - Part 2
Madrigal!Reader x Bruno Madrigal (platonic!)
Tumblr media
Your Uncle Bruno has disappeared.
Those words sent your world crashing down around you. Your fire went out for weeks, your gift seemingly gone. You were devastated, and yet your family seemed relieved. You felt truly alone now, like no one was left who understood you the way your Uncle Bruno did.
You decided to keep a candle burning in your room, always. The flame would never die out as long as you lived. It served as an important reminder to you of all the comforting words Bruno had said about your gift, encouraging you to keep learning to control your gift to the best of your ability.
As the months flew by, you did indeed learn to wield your pyrokinesis to bring joy to the family and Encanto, not just fear. When the weather turned unexpectedly cold and villagers were freezing, they turned to you to keep their fires burning and their homes warm. When festivals were celebrated, villagers now turned to you to create impressive fire shows, instead of asking Abuela to keep you locked away in Casita.
You felt like you finally had an important place in the family, and you wished your Uncle was there to see it.
Occasionally, your temper inevitably flared. At the dinner table, when family tensions were high, the lanterns would flare, and the scolding from both your mother and Abuela would only serve to fuel the flames higher and brighter. But then, you’d hear Bruno’s whispery voice in your head, encouraging you, almost as if he were right behind you and whispering the words in your ear. It gave you the strength you needed to calm down and remain one of the more respected members of the family.
One day, you would find your Uncle again. You knew in your heart he was still out there somewhere, and when that day came, you knew he would be proud of all you had accomplished.
