Likes to be little spoon but won’t admit it😇
Doesn’t matter how long you’ve been together for, he still gets a bit embarrassed with lovey dovey stuff, but will do it anyway
He definitely has a mild fear of commitment. After his mom leaving (I’m so sorry💀) he STILL doesn’t trust that people won’t leave him
Hunter is attracted to confidence (not to be confused with arrogance) in a partner.
His standards for appearance are fairly low, however, he's looking more for personality than appearance.
Okay so you know how guys will “serenade” girls with their guitar and stuff,,, yeah. He doesn’t want to think of it as serenading, mostly just flexing his guitar skills on you
Everyone seems to forget that he’s CANONICALLY a mega virgin. He is not super flirty or anything. He’s probably never held hands with a girl.
You will probably have to be the one to initiate dates
When he does happen to be the one to initiate dates, it’s taking you to metal concerts lol
If you ask him out, he'll probably think that you're joking with him. He'll probably spend the entirety of the date thinking that.
He is insanely stubborn, so if and when you guys argue, he will absolutely stand his ground
Fights aren’t really that common, just because you’re probably his first partner, and he really doesn’t wanna mess that up.
If you guys are close enough, he does get clingy, but he doesn’t like to show that in public.
He would also never admit it.
He doesn’t let ANYONE except you play with his hair🙏
While I mentioned he has commitment issues, he does get attached very quickly

If you’re type of person who smokes/drinks, he will let you, but he won’t be supportive of it. Seeing as he doesn’t do stuff like that.
He really doesn’t like seeing you drunk/high. He’ll be like “told you so” then proceed to take care of you/ be your tripsitter.
Tbh he does not care if you get hungover. He’ll just say some shit like “told you that’ll happen” then get you some aspirin and water then leave you to fend for yourself for a bit😭
He makes so many playlists for you, all consisting of his music taste

He’s a huge cuddlebug. He’ll always have his hands somewhere on you even when you’re in public.
Most of the time, your head will lay in his chest, and both of your arms will be wrapped around one another.
Hunter loves to see your face when you’re cuddling,
so a lot of the time, he pulls your head away from him just to kiss you and see how flustered you look afterwards.
You’ll always catch his hands in your hair or massaging your head. He loves to comfort you <3
Speaking of comfort, any time you’re sick, he’ll always come over to lay down with you. He’ll bring you snacks, water, and a bunch of affection.

hunter: everyone takes the cold and mean personality huntie has created for self awareness, so i'm sure showing off his love for you is a hard task for him of course, but he had learned how to do it genuinely little by little. his way to do it is inviting you to hang out with him, you know, quality time to get to know the real hunter sylvester and him to know you as well. we know that having everything he wanted because of his father being a rich surgeon would end up being something he can't control to take, so he would unconsciously start giving you presents in a way to show you that he cares about you.
emily: she's a dream and i'm pretty sure she loves to write you poems and give you self-made gifts but mostly, the quality time is what describes her the best; she won't be really into the stuff you like, and neither do you, but that's exactly what made her fall harder for you. everyone saw that scrunch-hearted scene where em asks kevin to lay on top of her just because and she feels safe. well, that only makes me think that she absolutely loves physical contact in any way but specially if you hold hands with her or let her grab your arm with hers.
kevin: kev is an acts of service person indeed, he wouldn't think twice if you need help in any class or your personal problems. he wants to be there and make you feel it helping you correctly whenever you need it. of course the words of affirmation every time you're feeling down, you had a bad day or life just keeps being a bitch with you, he's willing to show you the great person that you're, the achieves you have reached by yourself and also how lucky he is to have a pretty partner like you. he's such an angel.

Some Skullflower Headcanons
Emily picks out goth songs for them to do metal covers of.
Hunter is banned from trying to book them gigs after yelling at one too many venue owners.
Kevin books the gigs. He enlists Emily's help when someone is being difficult because she can be the right level of assertive.
Hunter still writes all of their original songs.
After a gig they can often be found in a pile of exhausted, sweaty musicians. Literally a group hug that turns into a group nap.
Hunter is openly gay.
When they were booed by a homophobic drunk who was shouting slurs at Hunter so Emily put said drunk in the hospital.
It took some time but Emily & Hunter are really close now.
Kevin is the mom-friend of the band. He quickly got into a habit of carrying extra water bottles and granola bars around to keep his band mates upright.

He lets Y/N braid his hair, but only if he swears on Mötley Crüe not to laugh about how stupid he looks with a side braid
He always hated brushing his hair after washing it. His arms got tired and once he had knots in his hair it was over for him. So he reluctantly let Y/N brush his hair after he offered
Hunter would be the type to down energy drink after energy drink, But His partner won't let him drown in caffeine, so he forced him to drink water after taking away his monster privileges for a couple days

Someone made fun of you? He’ll blackmail them for you. Then, he’ll go buy you your favorite meal along with a stuffed animal from the corner store.
B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)
Well… We all know Hunter isn’t an ideal best friend, but he tries to be. You two would probably meet at school. You’d be at your lockers and he would make eye contact with you– his middle school crush. He'd turn red at the face and you'd go talk to him, asking if he's okay.
"Uh- What? Yeah- I'm- I'm fine." His voice cracks
"Okay..? I just wanted to make sure."
And you walk to your classes together.
C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)
He loves to cuddle. He's definitely a big spoon, he likes to hold you close to him and smell your hair. He can be a little spoon sometimes if you want him to.
D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)
Hunter doesn't want to "settle down", but there's no way he's thinking about leaving you any time soon. He wouldn't have gone into a relationship with you if he didn't love you. When Hunter loves someone, he will always love that person, no matter what happens.
E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)
With that being said, if he had to break up with you, he'd be heartbroken. There would be very few occasions where he would break up with you, however, they still exist. Maybe you didn't have enough time for him anymore. He would go to your house and say everything on his mind, which honestly comes out horribly rude because he doesn't know how to express his feelings. He starts to tear up and hugs you with all of his strength.
"I don't wanna leave you." As he starts crying into your shoulder, cursing himself for showing weakness.
F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)
Well… Hunter is still in high school, so he probably won't actually get married. He wouldn't want to marry you any time at the beginning of the relationship, but after dating for a while, he'd probably buy you a cool black ring with his dad's money and "propose" to you. You'd tell everyone you're married, even if not legally.
G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)
… This boy is not emotionally gentle. At all. It's no secret he has a hard time understanding people's point of view. He'll try his best to be gentle with you, though. He's also not physically gentle either. He always punches his friends in the shoulder and play-fights with you. BUT IF YOU GET HURT during one or those play fights… He drops everything just to make sure you're okay.
H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)
He loves hugs. He does it very often when you're not at school. His hugs are like being buried in sand LMAO- He never realizes he's squeezing you too hard.
I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?)
He says it immediately. When he starts to grow feelings for you, he starts to pick on you a lot; but when he actually realizes those feelings are love, he tells you about it immediately.
"Y/N!! LISTEN- Listen." He's panting from running up to you.
"I know I've treated you like absolute garbage.. But- I really love you."
He's scared but also proud of himself for finally trusting someone enough to catch feelings for them.
J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?)
He trusts you, but he doesn't trust other people. He gets jealous very easily- even if it's Kevin. He always hugs you from behind when he's jealous, but if jealousy builds up enough, he'll grab your hand and shout at the person he's jealous of. Then you'll both leave with a dramatic exit.
K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)
He likes to kiss you in random places, and it’s adorable. He loves to bury his face in your shoulder and kiss your neck, and especially your collarbone. He, however, would be confused if you did this to him. He’s a sucker for forehead (or top-of-the-head) kisses. They comfort him a lot because they remind him of his mother.
L = Little ones (How are they around children?)
He loves kids. He acts like he hates them, but he’s very much in love with them.
“Kevin. Kevin. Kevin. Kev-” “What, Hunter???” “Look at this little guy” *insert picture of a baby metalhead* “Awh, that’s actually sweet.” “No, dude. It’s totally badass.”
M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)
You wake up next to him, he’s stroking your hair as if it’s an angel’s, and he truly thought you were one. He gets up to go get you a glass of water, and sometimes it’ll take him 10 minutes to get back because he gets into a fight with his dad. Although, when he does come back, he’ll be kind of moody. (which means extra cuddles)
N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)
You guys both watch a movie before you go to sleep, but one thing about Hunter is that he’s a LOUD sleeper. He snores and moves a LOT. He can’t help it though.
O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)
He slowly reveals himself to you. Sometimes he’ll expose them in an argument, or sometimes he’ll expose them in a “joke.” Whatever you do, don’t laugh. He’ll never open up to you again.
P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)
I think Hunter’s patience is pretty self-explanatory… Long story short, he’s pretty easily angered with anyone, but not as easily when it comes to you.
Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)
He remembers everything. He can’t even remember what he ate for lunch, and yet he still knows what you said exactly 7 hours and 23 second ago. Your friend hurt you? He knows every single detail and guilt-trips your “friend” about it every time he sees them.
R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)
His favorite moment is at the beginning, when you first confessed to each other. He’s never felt so loved before, especially from someone who loves him back. He’ll never forget the sense of security and pure love he felt when you two kissed for the first time.
S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)
Hunter is very protective. Someone hurt you? He’ll hurt them worse with that dorky little punch of his
T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)
He puts in a lot of effort. He’s the kind of guy who will wear jeans and a t-shirt to a fancy dinner, but will wear a suit to a netflix and chill date. On anniversaries, he buys you tons of candy. Mostly your favorite, but also some of his so you can eat them together.
U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)
No matter how many times you tell him not to, he chronically bites his nails. He’s upset that his black nail polish is ruined, but he also knows that rough nails “are so metal, dude.”
V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)
He’s only a bit insecure, but he quickly gets over it when someone/something feeds his ego.
W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)
Yes. Without you, Hunter would feel like he was abandoned again. Like part of him is missing. How could the best part of his life walk away from him so fast?
X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them.)
Hunter cries 24/7. He can’t show emotion to a lot of people, so he lets everything out when he’s alone. He cries in the basement listening to slow metal blast in his headphones because he wants to feel the music.
Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?)
He would HATE if his partner was overbearing. Actually- they wouldn't even be his partner if they were overbearing.
Z = Zzz (What are some sleep habits of theirs?)
He snores. He sleep talks about how Metallica is so much better than Megadeth (he's wrong) He constantly moves around. He cries in his sleep and has lots of nightmares.
