WHO IS SHE?

Hecate is a Goddess of magic and witchcraft, as well as the guardian of boundaries and crossings. She is often depicted as a triple-headed woman, representing her role as a gatekeeper between realms. Hecate is a powerful and mysterious Goddess, and she is often associated with the moon, the night, and the Underworld. She is also known for her connection to the spirits of the dead, and she is revered as a protector of orphans and wayfarers. As the Goddess of magic and witchcraft, she is also an expert in magic, astrology, and other arcane arts.

BASIC INFO:

Appearance: Hecate is traditionally depicted as a tall and powerful woman with a distinctive appearance. She is often portrayed as having three heads, each with different facial features, such as eyes of different colours or expressions. She is also described as having black hair and wearing a dark cloak, which further lends to her mysterious and dark appearance. She is often depicted as a three-headed woman, symbolizing her association with the crossroads and the triad of magic that she encapsulates.

• Role: Hecate is a mysterious and powerful Goddess associated with sorcery and magic, often depicted as a triple-headed or triple-bodied figure.

• Associations: Hecate is often associated with crossroads, magic, prophecy, mystery, spirits, night, ghosts, and the Underworld, serving as a protector and guide for those who have died. She is also the patron deity of witches and magic-users, and is also associated with the night.

• History: Hecate is a minor deity in Greek mythology, but she has become a prevalent figure in modern times. Hecate's origins are linked to the Greek Underworld and the female deity Selene, and she is also connected to the Roman goddesses Artemis and Diana.

• Role in Witchcraft: Hecate is widely associated with magic and witchcraft, and many witches and Wiccans revere her as a source of power and knowledge. Some witch traditions worship Hecate as a three-way Goddess who represents the past, present, and future.

HOW TO WORSHIP HECATE:

To worship Hecate respectfully, you should approach her with a sense of reverence and respect. She is a powerful Goddess and should be treated as such. You can offer prayers, libations, and offerings to her, and it's important to speak to her in a respectful manner, as you would to any other person of authority. Hecate has a strong connection to magic and the Underworld, so you can also use magic or other rituals to communicate with her. It's important to have an open mind and a respectful attitude when approaching Hecate and seeking her guidance.

HOW TO PRAY TO HECATE:

To begin, you could address her by name and say something along the lines of:

"Oh Great Goddess Hecate, I come to you seeking your guidance and wisdom. I offer myself to you, my heart and my spirit, and I ask for your blessing in this prayer."

"I thank you, great Goddess Hecate, for listening to my words and for your guidance and protection. May you walk by my side always. Hail Hecate.”

CAN I CONTACT HECATE AT A CROSSROAD?

Yes, it is possible to contact Hecate at a crossroads. This is a traditional method of invoking the Goddess that has been used for centuries. To do this, you should prepare a offering (bread, honey, and herbs, or any other items that you feel would be suitable for her) and then go to a crossroads during the witching hour between 12 a.m. and 3 a.m. Place your offering under the crossroads sign and say a prayer to invoke Hecate. Speak with sincerity and humility, and ask for guidance and aid in whatever aspect of your life you feel most in need of support. Remember to listen for signs and messages that Hecate may bring you.

WHAT ARE SIGNS THAT HECATE WANTS ME TO WORK WITH HER?

If your request to work with Hecate has been accepted, you may notice the following signs:

• Feeling drawn toward witchcraft, magic, or spiritual practices

• Seeing her symbols, such as the moon, keys, dogs, etc.

• Feeling a connection to animals, nature, or the Underworld

• Feeling a pull towards the crossroads or areas with a strong sense of the occult

• Having vivid dreams or visions in which she appears or speaks directly to you.

• Seeing or feeling her energies in your environment

• The number 13 keeps popping up everywhere

• You hear dogs howling at night from nowhere

• Hecate’s symbols are repeating: the key, crossroads, torch, dagger, Hecate’s wheel

• You’re drawn to graveyards and cemeteries

• You’ve had a spiritual experience (either positive or terrifying) at a crossroads in the woods

• You’re new to the craft and need guidance but don’t know who to turn to

• Hecate comes into witches’ lives who are pregnant and dying (during major transitions in life)

• You’re seeing a white dog(s) everywhere you go (in real life or on TV, etc.)

• Hecate’s name keeps showing up in your daily life (in random conversations, books, TV shows, online, etc.)

• You love working with animals, in particular dogs

• Stray dogs tend to find you and want you to take them in

• You were born under a Dark Moon or on Hecate Night

• Spirits communicate with you and have your entire life

If your request to work with Hecate has not been accepted, you may notice the following signs:

• Getting a strong impression or intuition that she is not interested in working with you.

• Getting a reading or divination that indicates Hecate is not willing to work with you at this time.

• Feeling a strong resistance or dissonance when you attempt to connect with her or her energies. 

Overall you need to be respectful of deities denying your request.

• Follow your instincts and trust in your guidance

• Nurture friendships and relationships that are healthy and beneficial

• Learn to balance pleasure and work

• Live each day with purpose and intention.

• Doings Things in 13’s: offer thirteen flowers to her, give elaborate offerings or do ritual on the thirteenth of each month in her name, say your prayers thirteen times, etc

• Take care of our canine friends, do so in Hecate’s name. She will bless you AND your dogs or any dogs you care for. If you can’t have a dog, donate your time OR old blankets, dog food, etc. to a local animal shelter. And tell Hecate you’re doing it in her name. This doesn’t just go for dogs, but for any kind of canine species.

• Doing spirit work in the cemetery

IS IT SAFE TO EAT OR DRINK AN OFFERING I GIVE TO HER?

An offering given to her is thus infused with the energies of the Underworld and may have a powerful impact on the consumer, if eaten. To avoid any potential discomfort, confusion, or negative effects, it is generally recommended that you avoid consuming offerings dedicated to Hecate and instead pour or bury the edible offerings into the earth.

List of different Charts & explanation

Many people asked me about what exactly are the different charts I propose in my private readings, so in order for you to choose in peace what you want, you can refer to this list.

‧₊˚✩彡 Natal Chart

The Natal chart is the original chart, every other charts will be based on this one, as it literally represents you as an individual, who you are, what is your personality like, your preferences, and based on those which choices are you most likely to take. It's a good way to know yourself better and be aware of certain behavior. It can also indicates you where you need to work yourself.

‧₊˚✩彡 Solar Return Chart

A solar return chart will best describes what is most likely going to happen in your life for a year. It starts on the day your sun exactly returns to its initials position (= so your birthday). Example: if you are born on February 1st, your solar return will start on February 1st to January 31st of next year. So for your Solar Return of 2024-2025, it will be from February 1st 2024 to January 31st 2025. The more close to the end of one solar return you are, the closest you are stepping on your next solar return chart. It's a good chart to know what will be the main theme of your year and what you can achieve. It's also a way to predict when you will get successful, when you will marry or meet your FS, also a way to predict children.

Persona Charts are charts based on a planet or asteroid on your natal chart.

For example: You are Taurus Venus, then your Venus Persona Chart will be Taurus Sun.

It will tell you more about the planet or asteroid and what influence it has on you.

‧₊˚✩彡 ASC/ Rising Persona Chart

This PC will tell you about more about your personality and your identity. It's good to look at when you want to know more about yourself, since it's another layer of yourself.

‧₊˚✩彡 IC Persona Chart

The IC Persona Chart will tell you about your childhood, how it was, what happened, and how it is linked with what you call home today. What do you search for in a home? How will you feel more comfortable and at home?

‧₊˚✩彡 DSC Persona Chart

The Descendant Persona Chart is a chart that will tell you about your ideal type, who are you searching for the most, what kind of person, and what you like the most in a partner. This is another way to see the FS, because we usually go for people who are our type. It's also the type of person you tend to date.

‧₊˚✩彡 MC Persona Chart

MC persona chart is the best PC to look for when you are interested in knowing what is the best career pursue for you. If you don't know much about what you should do, look at it. If you know but you are not sure, look at it. If you know and you are sure about it, you can also see how it will develop in your life.

‧₊˚✩彡 Moon Persona Chart

Moon Persona Chart is based on one's emotions, and it gives you a bigger view over your emotions, how you control them, what do you hide the most. When looking at it, you can see a true new face of yourself, and you may discover a lot about your emotions and your relationship with them.

‧₊˚✩彡 Mercury Persona Chart

Mercury PC is a chart that will tell you more about the way you communicate, it's also about your mind, your ideas. You could also see what you tend to talk the most about, and what is truly hidden. You can see how you express yourself, and it can also help you know more about yourself.

‧₊˚✩彡 Venus Persona Chart

Venus Persona Chart will tell you more about your loving style, the way you express your love and feelings, and your love languages. You can also see your preferences in relationships and another insight about your ideal type.

‧₊˚✩彡 Mars Persona Chart

Mars Persona Chart will tell you more about your anger issues, how you express your jealousy, your ambition, your powerful emotions. It's also a way to know more about yourself sexually, what you like.

‧₊˚✩彡 Jupiter Persona Chart

It's all about your luck, in every planets you can see where you are most lucky at. It also tells you the limits, and where you can have more difficulties to be lucky at.

‧₊˚✩彡 North Node Persona Chart

It's to know more about your purpose in this lifetime. It also tells you about your lessons in this lifetime. How can you become your best self in this life.

‧₊˚✩彡 Juno Persona Chart

Juno is another asteroid that will tell you more about your soulmate, and your FS. It's a very romantic asteroid. It's another good way to see who you will marry. Get to know more about who this person is in this chart. It's a neutral PC, as it doesn't have genders.

‧₊˚✩彡 Groom/ Briede Persona Chart

Groom or Briede PC (depends who you are attracted to), will tell you the best about your Future Spouse. Who are they, what do they do, how are they like, etc. It's also the best way to know who you are as a spouse, or how you will be as a spouse. For example: if you are a woman, look at your Briede PC to know more about yourself as a spouse. If you are interested in men, look at your Groom PC to know more about your FS.

‧₊˚✩彡 Boda Persona Chart

Boda is the asteroid of marriage, as it is the Spanish translation. It's a PC that will literally tells you all you need to know about your wedding day. If you are curious, you should check it out!

‧₊˚✩彡 Fama Persona Chart

Fama is an asteroid that tells you more about your success, your fame, and rumors/ gossips about you. It's a PC that is good to look at if you want to know if you have chances to become successful, and in which industry, how and why. It will also tell you how you will live it, if you will like it, and if people will talk about you or not.

‧₊˚✩彡 Vertex Persona Chart

It's all about fated invents in your life. It will tell you what is most likely going to happen in your life as the Vertex always tell us about our fate.

‧₊˚✩彡 Synastry Chart

Synastry is just taking two natal charts and putting them against each other. It shows how each individual feels about the other. It can also show how the two met, and their feelings at that moment. The basic Synastry also shows the strengths and challenges each face with the other. It's the most basic and well known method about compatibility, even if I think personally, a compatibility cannot be made just with basic synastry. A relationship changes with time, we can't base ourselves with only that.

‧₊˚✩彡 Composite Chart

A Composite chart is a chart that is the result of adding two natal charts together. It's taking Person A + Person B= one chart that represent your relationship. It's really the same as a basic synastry but in one chart. So it shows the dynamic of the relationship, the purpose of the meeting, mutual challenges and strengths of the relationship. You can check an analysis I did of my Composite chart with my FS for you to see how it looks like.

‧₊˚✩彡 Solar Return Synastry Chart

A Solar Return Chart is a chart that represent the return of your sun in its original sign (your sun sign). So basically, it's your birthday. So a SRC only last a year, and every years (starting on your birthday, and ending either a day before or the day of your birthday the next year) you get a new chart. It usually tells what will happen in your life that year. Synastry there could be a good thing to look at. You take two SRC of the same year and see the dynamic of the two people that certain year. You can see how your relationship evolves. I talk more about it here and here.

‧₊˚✩彡 Solar Return Composite Chart

Same thing as Solar Return Synastry but with Composite instead. It will tell you about how your relationship develop over the years, or mostly during that particular solar return you choose. While the Synastry is good to see how you feel towards each other, what is happening between you two, who is doing what to the other one, the composite here will tell you how your relationship develop, and how your feelings for each other too.

you first thought it was general academic burnout. it was late in the school year anyways. with only a month left before the semester ends, you thought that maybe your boyfriend was just tired.

he always had a lackadaisical, almost sleepy look to him that you found pretty cute. but this time, his bags under his eyes were much more prominent and his movements more lethargic.

you had lunch with him on the roof one particularly warm february day. he was practically leaning against you and you could've sworn he was dozing off.

"mina-kun, come on... are you not getting enough sleep lately? do i have to sneak over and make sure you get your rest?"

your teases usually ellicited a smirk from him, but he instead shook his head. he insisted everything was fine, and you left it at that.

if something truly was up, like you thought, he'd tell you in his own time. right?

...right?

more weeks passed and he got more and more tired, yet more and more clingy. for some reason he wanted to spend every waking moment with you.

you were supposed to hang out with him and his friends after the graduation ceremony, but when you looked around the auditorium for him after it ended, you couldn't find him.

you remembered him wanting to meet on the roof, and so you decided to search there.

and there he was, sitting on the stone bench overlooking the sparkling sea. you rushed over and sat next to him - he looked even worse, physically, but he had this air of finality about him.

"hey, hey, it's okay. lay on my lap, alright?" you said, guiding him down to lay on you. he shut his eyes and you began to brush his hair away from his face.

he looked really pretty like this, all sleepy and serene. he reached his hand out to brush your cheek in turn, smiling warmly at you.

it really was a sweet way to end his last moments on earth, with the one who always made him feel the most comfortable and at home.

The Masquerade Breach Zine

Hi I am ProblemSynth also known as Zeke. I’m a bi-transmasc artist and occasional writer with a love of vampires and VTM. I am also making the (probably terrible) choice to set up a free community zine for the first time.

Overview

Masquerade Breach is a free community E-Zine for enjoyers of the Vampire The Masquerade games and media. The theme of this project is the violation of the “Masquerade” and the various ways kindred breach it.

While the focus is largely on vampires, you’re invited to interpret the theme not just through the eyes of kindred but also through the eyes of mortals and hunters.

There is currently a soft limit of 30 applicants with those applying after entering a wait list in the event of drop outs.

Goals

The aim of this project is to collect pictures and short stories from the community in one place, and give it back in the form of a free printable PDF.

This zine will be distributed largely through tumblr and the discord with links to the PDF on Google Drive. Links to the social media(s) of participants will be shown alongside the tumblr and Discord posts.

I will be pinning this post to my blog for reference.

As this is my first public Zine I expect some hiccups along the way. I will do by best to communicate when they happen via tumblr, discord, and dms (when necessary). Please be a little patient with me as I work things out.

ft. unchecked ambition to recreate of the hardest Kpop dances (only in vain), lots of code debugging, and using Yeolpumta the wrong way

💻 Internship // progress tracker

-> detecting pockets in protein structures using 3diff pipelines -> finding consensus pockets using outputs of pipelines -> pocket alignment of protein models by structural alignment with a set of known binding site structures -> read base paper -> weekly presentations [2/2] besides these tasks I've been trying to modify all my code files such that they can run directly from the system terminal (i hate edge cases and this entire process has taken years off my life) so that I can upload it on github

-> charted out a timeline for master's applications deadlines and related work

👟 Kpop dances!!

completed! 🔥bye bye ankles ⇒ I'd started this way before I messed up my ankle and then I abandoned it but we are so back... I picked it up last week and finally! it is done. 💪 bts' magnum opus ⇒ the main challenge is ensuring to hit every beat at the right speed and my rendition is still far from refined but hey. atleast my moves have developed some fluidity currently <3 🧢 left, right and just vibes ⇒ really needed a breather after the first two dances and now I'm here xD although the main reason I picked this dance was bc I loved the part switch version and all the references // ✅chorus + prechorus ⚡ crush...ing my motivation ⇒ so much for taking a breather. I've been obsessed with this song and I tried to start learning it and... four seconds- that's how much I've learnt in past three days. but the satisfaction when I got those four seconds? immeasurable. // ✅1st chorus pt1/3

💿 Other Things This week

📅 started my 18day habit challenge! by which I simply mean I'm using Yeolpumta as a daily tracker app rather than a study app and I'm loving it <3 I get excited seeing different colours marked on the daily calendar and as a consequence I've been more productive lately :D 🍊 been eating healthier! lots of fruit and water intake and I've also been learning to cook! 📖 The Myth of Sisyphus <3 I don't read a lot of non fiction but this piece is hella intruiging and I'm having a lot of fun 🍕 Lunch with the besties [x2] 🎰 Gaming Arcade shenanigans yet again 🎆 Fest at Uni! One of the best bollywood singers of all time showed up and he sang bangers from our childhood; we had a blast 🎧 lots and lots of kpop and for some reason I keep coming back to Advice by Taemin

[ 18th - 31st Mar; week 13+14/52 || and with that, 1/4th of this year is done. I'm pretty satisfied with how I how i spent the past two weeks, hopefully I'm able to stay consistent 🤞]

Musician!Eren headcanons

Just some headcanons, should be no warnings

Since this is getting more popular I thought y’all would like me to do a second one<33

Musician!Eren only puts out his albums or singles on his favorite number(3). What I mean is, like if he’s putting out a song in October it would HAVE to be October 3rd, 13th, 23rd, 30th, or 31st. If it’s not, he’d be actually pissed. (He thinks it’s good luck.)

Musician!Eren would listen to Wave to earth, Beyoncé, Usher, A-Boogie, Meek Mill, Bruno Mars, Eminem, Biggie, Tupac, and Jay-Z. So he likes making RNB or rap. But when he was younger he def was into rock tho. He has posters, t-shirts, and merch of his old favorite bands. He probably met one of his idols when he was younger too. (Father Grisha has connections.)

Musician!Eren and Grisha’s relationship went rocky when Eren didn’t want to go to college and wanted to pursue his music career. Grisha was NOT happy about it because Eren was for one spending GRISHA’S money on his passion and it seemed like it wasn’t going anywhere. Grisha and Eren defiantly had multiple arguments about his career before it sky rocked.

Musician!Eren’s first hit was an overnight sensation. Like before maybe a couple thousands listened to it and was many people’s favorite underground artist, but when he made a song talking about his love PEOPLE WENT CRAZYY!! Like Snooze or Hrs and Hrs, people played it like that.

Musician!Eren would be the most chill person anyone could’ve met in the industry. Everyone loved him, as he was one of the most realest but nonchalant people. He could keep a conversation but he was never blatantly rude or disrespectful to anyone. So when you two met, you were drawn to his chill nature.

Musician!Eren’s first beef with Jean wasn’t anything he really cared about. He didn’t care until Jean started to talk shit about you honestly. He wanted to talk all this shit while his fiancé, Mikasa, and you were best friend. You didn’t care, knowing he wanted clout but Eren cared. And he made his first of many diss tracks, getting more attention.

Musician!Eren would get cancel for the shit he said in the past, like someone came for a song he made when he was much younger and he asked him about their dead relatives. People went after him, but did he care? No, he didn’t even address it. He honestly replied to it with “New Single out tomorrow.” LIKE WHAT?? (But profit ig.)

Musician!Eren’s first scandal would be him dating Mikasa (obviously fake.) They’d see the pair hanging out together more often, Mikasa giggling while Eren was telling a joke. People would question them, and they’d end it saying they were friends. (They were co-stars for AOT, but no one knew until the trailer came out.)

Musician!Eren and you came out on the red carpet, matching, while his hand was on your waist, omg. EVERYONE WOULD GO CRAZY !! So many pictures, paparazzi trying to talk to you two, asking when did this start. Everything. The two of you look at each other, laugh, answer, then walk away. (Too in love 😭)

Musician!Eren would definitely feature you in one of his songs. He would want you to be in at least one, and it had to be a love song. Either you acting in it or singing or even both, he didn’t care. Just needed you to work with him once.

Musician!Eren who definitely donates some of his money because he doesn’t know what he’d use all of it on?? He gives some to his family and spoils you?? What the hell is he going to do with an extra 1 mil?? Better to donate it, because he can gain that 1 million in a day if he really needed it.

Musician!Eren who was caught smoking weed. People tried to cancel him again, and he didn’t care. He addressed this time though, with a video of him smoking o’s while high. He didn’t really care about anyone’s opinion about what he does, unless it’s you.

Musician!Eren who went in disguise to buy you a bag. You complained about not being able to buy it online since it was sold out, but in store it wasnt. (His cover was shit and people found out easily(too many paparazzi, he asked for them to ship the bag to your house.))

Musician!Eren who got in trouble with his mom when he made a song about getting bitches. His mom KNEW he was in a relationship with you, and Mama Carla knew how it felt. She cussed him out then when she saw him next pinched his ear before forcing him to apologize to you. (Definitely doesn’t like her son being a player.)

Musician!Eren who is always a trending topic, and everyone always in his business. He went to get ice cream? Eren loves chocolate ice cream. Went to buy some new shirts? Eren can’t stop spending his money. Like leave him alone 😭😭

Musician!Eren on your anniversary definitely planned a nice vacation to the place you’ve been talking about going to, planning activities, everything. Surprises you too because he acts like he forgot. (He never forgets anything.)

This year was very harsh on me, I lost a couple of family members and I also almost lost my job as well, so if you were wondering about the sudden decline, that's your answer.

And a very special thank you to the people that left comments, wrote reviews and sent asks, they are not overlooked, and they fuel me to keep going.

Being inspired to write is hard, finding that spark of myself I want to add to my work is rough, but when I'm standing alone in the dark, it's you that hold the torch that lights my way out.
