I'm actually really proud of these, and I'm kinda sad to see them ending already, but I'm so grateful for everyone who stuck around! It really means a lot when you guys leave comments or kudos. My Very first Post

Dear Reader🍂🍁~

Dylan Jade Gardner is the beautiful little lad in his dinosaur onesie smiling and drooling with no care in the world. My son. My pride. My joy. I, however, am Davis Gardner, born and raised in London, UK, now living in America. The culture isn’t much different from my own though its weird hearing people say pants instead of Trousers but I’ll be used to things like that no time soon. At the moment I am still moving in, the only finished rooms would be the kitchen, lounge, and Dylans nursery. I’m stuck sleeping on the couch until I find my bed set but its enough.

Its just my boy and I, his mum unfortunately died from complications of birthing our son days later, though I am glad in the short time they had together, she got to hold and experience our first born. Its hard being without her but it’ll get easier as time goes on.

I also think ash would be the type who'd ask for a transfer of some kind (maybe a less dangerous job on the force?) once he learns that belle's pregnant with his kid cuz he wants to spend more time with his family and the epilogue mentioned that his work is keeping him busy (or away from the city sometimes). I think he'd be more than willing to give up that part of his life if it means having a whole family ; u ;

Yes, I feel so strongly about this! D: I have seen way too many detective/cop shows that end up with tragic episodes involving the detective’s family. I cannot even imagine Ash going down that route and something happening to either Isabella or his future kids. That would scar him for the rest of his life.

And that is very true, once Isabella and Ash have a family I would assume Ash would want to spend as much time as possible with them. He wouldn’t want to miss the baby’s first words, first poopie diaper change,  baby’s first steps, or any of that. Knowing that Ash grew up with aloof parents which then resulted in divorce, I feel he would do everything in his power to be the best dad he can be. 

Maybe he can also retire early from the police force but not sure how Ash would feel about early retirement. If there’s anything Ash and Bella have in common is that they are workaholics. Geesh. Well, when their baby is born they will really have their hands full. xD

Just finished reading Generation 31 (loved it) and I've got a big question. After Casita and Epifanio's collapse, how come Mirabel's kids still have their gifts? Does everyone else still have their gifts, or is it just the kids?

Uh. Anyway. At first, they do lose their gifts. But in this au, the moment Alma and Mirabel start making up, the magic starts coming back. It's very weak, so not all the kids have their gifts, and neither do all the Madrigals. But it's there. Mostly because both Alma and Mirabel have magic anyway, with or without the candle (it's just not manifested in a gift), the candle just enhanced that. The magic is still in the encanto too, just again, very, very weak lmao 😭😭

Encanto au discussion

Ok, I've started to realize that people are forgetting/ don’t really know what AU’s are. I’m speaking to the Encanto fandom specifically. So, yes, I know AU’s where Alma, the blue couple, yellow couple, and/or Isabela are evil/mean to Mirabel are not liked. 

Mamabel au’s aren’t liked because these types of au’s usually bash Felix and Pepa for being bad parents (which they aren’t). Au’s where Alma is just an evil person or Isabela is a b*tch to Mirabel aren’t liked because everyone knows Alma and Isabela as characters are complex people who had issues of their own. 

But I think people fail to understand that these fics/ideas have AU attached to them. ALTERNATE UNIVERSE. The characters are literally changed to fit a new story to the writer's liking. I’m sure every Encanto writer understands that the madrigals (the gifted ones specifically) are complex people. 

Alma lost her husband to a brutal death and the miracle came about right after. It’s obvious she thought the magic had to be earned in order for it to stay. She just took the idea too far and pressured her children a little too much. 

Everybody understands that Pepa and Felix would NEVER leave a newborn baby to a ten year old. The very idea would seem absurd to them. Mirabel obviously is like an older sister than a mother to Antonio. Julieta and Agustin would never neglect their daughters nor would Pepa and Felix neglect their children. 

Isabela NEVER bullied/abused Mirabel in any sense of those words. It’s just their relationship dwindled over the years. But you can obviously see they had a loving sister dynamic, even if they didn’t like each other at the moment. 

But these characters…are characters. They aren’t real.  They are 3D MODEL RIGS given a personality to fit a role in a movie! If someone wants to change them to write a new story they certainly have the right to.

But I am NOT talking to proshippers, all of you can f*ck off, die, and live in the fiery pits of hell for an eternity. 

So please, don’t get butt hurt when your favorite character is changed in an au/fanfiction. It’s just writing, it’s not gonna hurt you whatsoever, just scroll on. And certainly, don’t leave comments on the fics saying that (insert Madrigal here) isn’t like that, or “they would never do that”, etc. 

We KNOW Mirabel isn’t a teenage mother, we KNOW Alma/Isabela isn’t a monster, we KNOW the blue and yellow couple are good parents. But you do understand that terrible family members do exist in real life…correct?

There are real life stories where teenagers were forced to raise their siblings. Multiple stories where parents/grandparents are really f*cked up people. Multiple stories where siblings weren’t the best people. 

Don’t you think people who had f*cked up family members read these fics and feel a little represented when they read that kind of au?
