despite the lack of refrigeration technology, tamriel absolutely has ice cream. It's just expensive because it requires frost salts to keep it from melting. Every ice cream parlor has a resident conjurer who regularly calls up a frost atronach, destroys it, and then harvests its salts-- a gruesome process, but with delicious results!

Working on this piece for @tigermoon3 !!!! I’m so thankful for her patience as life has been kicking my ass and my commissions have been slower than usual.

Yeah so basically my parents wanted to make sure I had a very fun and outdoorsy childhood especially since we lived in rural fuckass nowhere Pennsylvania so there wasn’t much else to do and it was the early 2000s so there weren’t a lot of things to do online yet either and also I was a socially awkward kid who didn’t have a lot of friends so I spent my childhood in the woods but by that I mean I was straight sleeping in lean-tos and drinking creek water and going to these insane wilderness survival camps styled as Hunger Games-esque competitions. I’ve basically had to spend my late teen years and adulthood domesticating myself to try and exist normally in society. I didn’t get a phone till I was sixteen and I didn’t have any social media till college. I still get sensory overload whenever I’m in a city because spiritually I’m like a skittish coyote who’s scared by people and loud noises and needs tree cover around to feel safe. Learning how other people spent their childhoods makes me feel like I was raised by wolves or something. Had a great fuckin time tho let me tell ya. Learned a lot. I consider myself a domesticated version of my childhood self now but yeah I can flip the switch back to feral if necessary.

If you find Allison's s3 arc and actions disturbing, good, you're supposed to
you're supposed to see someone who's in pain and grieving and lashing out at the people she loves in the darkest point of her life, you're not supposed to agree with what she's doing, but you can see why she'd do, does that justify any of it? no and it's not supposed to
Allison is hurting and she's gone through trauma after trauma (losing her daughter, having no voice for a year in the 60s and facing two years of near constant racism from everyone around her, then losing the one person who held her together throughout all of that being just part of it) and she's breaking down and it's messy and it's terrible. And it's supposed to be. It's supposed to be hard to watch because no one likes looking at trauma when it isn't pretty and forgivable
Again, this isn't to say Allison was in the right for what she did, its to say for a woman who lost everything and more, its pretty understandable why she'd fall apart so terribly

While I realize that it is, in fact, comic canon that Bruce Wayne is useless in the kitchen [this man screwed up a tuna sandwich somehow, I mean come on] one has to balance this with the fact that this man went all over the damn world for at least ten years on his own starting at somewhere between 14-17 years of age. For the time that he spent in anything approaching civilization I can 100% believe the rich boy survived on restaurants, takeout, room service, and the like, paid other people to do his laundry and other such things.
However
A large portion of his time was not spent in civilization but in places where he had to rough it and fend for himself. No running water, no electricity, no modern conveniences. With that in mind I would like to posit the following:
Bruce Wayne is absolutely hopeless in a kitchen. Put him in front of a stove and he hasn't the faintest notion what to do or how to do it. But he is a master of cooking over an open fire. He can hunt, trap, skin, dress, and cook a meal entirely on his own so long as he's cooking over an open wood fire. This man can make Michelin-grade food over a campfire with the barest of equipment when he needs to. Just don't put him in a kitchen.
