Therefore, monthly Shivratri is celebrated every year on the Chaturdarshi date of Phalgun month. By this fast, married people attain happiness and prosperity.

• On the day of Mahashivratri, wake up early in the morning and take a bath, etc. And promise to observe the fast with full devotion before Lord Shiv Shankar.
• End the fasting period with the blessings of Lord Shiva during Sankalp.
• Apart from this, also take a pledge as to how you will observe the fast i.e. eating fruits or going without water. Then start worship at the auspicious time.
• First of all get Lord Shankar anointed with Panchamrit.
• Also prepare eight pots of saffron water and a bright lamp for the night. Also, apply sandalwood tilak.
• After offering water, offer Bel leaves, Dhatura, and Shami flowers to the Lord. This is one of Bholebaba's favorite things.
• Apart from all the items mentioned above, also offers three betel leaves, hemp, Dhatura, nutmeg, lotus leaves, fruits, sweets, paan sweets, perfume, and Dakshina.
• After the puja is over, sing the aarti of Lord Shiva and distribute the final prasad among everyone.
It is believed that the best thing to do during Mahashivratri (Mahashivratri 2024) is to fast and pray for long life and good health. Fortunately, according to our Vedas, performing Rudrabhishek puja and chanting mantras on the day of Mahashivratri blesses a person with long life and good health.

Hello dear ladies. I am back in the town with my rants again cause where's a girl gonna go in this patriarchy world to shout her opinions. Plus can't run the risk of letting them in on the game. What's the fun in that??
Anyways, first of all Happy Women's Day!!!!
Happy Mahashivratri ✨✨✨
As today is an auspicious day both internationally and personally for me religiously maybe I will talk about some deep stuff.
Let's get into it. Shall we??
1) Get a belief system. I can't stress enough on this for the love of God. I was listening to a podcast this morning and the host made a really nice analogy that I would like to share with you all. He said that we all have an immense amount of love in us that we want to shower and that's one of the reasons why we so desperately look for partnerships especially romantic ones and we are highly affected by break-up. But when you submit all your love and pain to god the equation changes. Because it's difficult to have earthly expectations towards God and the shift starts there.
Story time ->
I personally found it way easier to love God. Once you start turning in to him you realize how selfless your love can be. But the main reason that struck me was when you love people you are restricted. Let's be honest today's dating scene is the worst you can't express how you feel and for a person like me who has intense emotions it's suffocating and that's where God comes in picture because I just submit my love, struggles and suffocation to him and he is there all the while with me silently witnessing the upheaval without any judgement. That allows me to tap deeper into my issues, understand the roots, look at them from both emotional and logical angles and then detach from it as the supreme being is now in control of the situation.
So on this occasion I beg you ladies to fix your relationship with God. You will thank me later for sure.
2) Be Loud. Be Bold. Be Audacious. Take up space. Unapologetically. Don't let other people feel comfortable in making you uncomfortable. Nope. We do it the other way around here. They should know better than making you uncomfortable.
If there's something I am really proud of myself for at least 90% times is that I never let anyone make me uncomfortable. I have time and again consciously worked on it to make it a second nature to me.
Nobody is born outspoken. It's the situation and the person's decision, self will that makes them like that. So when anyone tries to put me down subtly even if it isn't registered in my conscious brain my subconscious answers it befittingly without my notice. Then I realise what actually happened.
Strive to make offense your second nature. Defense is first mixed in with kindness. Practise it consciously until it becomes a muscle memory.
Ending note: Be insufferable in public and a soft girl in private. That's how you even it out. Wail like a child in front of God but move like a queen among humans.

We'll say hello again (Nevermind the chasm between us) 16
Seeing her twin the first thing in the morning did brighten her mood but the way Amar kept on bouncing on his feet was not a good idea.
"Get up, come on, come, come on!" He cheers over her as Gauri buries herself under her blanket once more, trying and failing to ignore her brother. "It's Mahashivratri, come on, we'll be late for pooja!"
Gauri throws the blankets off of herself and sits up, glaring grumpily at Amar. "I despise you," she says and Amar laughs because he knows it's a lie.
She manages to throw him out of her room and call for her handmaid to help her with her hair, throwing a sparse greeting at Yamuna at the door before she locks her brother out. Gauri huffs as she chooses her saree, a soft pink saree with pale golden hand block prints. It's one that she customised for herself, as a birthday gift for herself. Spoiling herself is a good thing, if done once in a while.
She's taken to draping her saree in a way that lets her move more freely, ready for a possible attack at any time. She doesn't trust her safety in the halls of the palace, not with Vijay here. A part of her heart throbs at the idea of a what if, a thought that probes at her mind like a needle. (What if she would be married to him?)
(She would rather live the life of a widow.)
Strapping Bhairav's dagger to her calf is a habit by now, and so is the hidden small knife in her waistband, hidden behind her pallu. She feels ridiculous, like she's going for war in her own home, as she steps out of her room, as ready as she'll ever be.
She isn't ready enough.
Gauri's breath leaves her chest in a fell swoop as her eyes fall on Bhairav, who is wearing that periwinkle tunic she's made for him. It looks perfect on him. He looks half a god, suitable to his name. Long hair left to the wind, a chandan tilak on his forehead and eyes unwavering as he looks at her, and only her. The tunic drapes over his shoulders like a physical caress, the embroidery on his collar stark against the blue. It fits him perfectly, looking comfortable in movement and yet emphasises his lean torso.
Gauri feels a spark of something primal in her chest and throat as she sees him wearing something she made and gave him. The urge to make another tunic for him rises, the need to make him a new wardrobe so he only wears what she makes for him.
The storm rising in her chest is hard to control but Gauri pushes it backwards forcefully when his eyes stray from her form, downward to his hands. Gauri tries to keep track of his gaze but it is hard, because as his neck moves, she sees the last letter of his name embroidered on the back of the kurta in her stitches. In red. (Red that matches her alta.)
Bhairav clears his throat hesitantly and looks back at her, reluctance in his sharp eyes. Gauri raises her eyebrows with a smile. Bhairav wets his lips for a moment before he speaks. "Shubh Mahashivratri, my princess. I hope you do not mind but I have stepped out of my bounds and dared—" He doesn't complete his sentence and raises his hand between them, a jasmine flower gajra in hand.
It's the two of them in the corridor, and Gauri feels the eyes of the Sun on them as she smiles wider in sheer giddiness. She's never worn a gajra before. She's always wanted to, but there's always a rush or something else and she always forgets to ask for a gajra to any of her handmaids.
"Of course, I do not mind, Bhairav," she says, sounding exhilarated to herself. She turns on her heels and looks over her shoulder. "Would you, please—?"
Bhairav looks like he's about to stutter something about his boundaries, so Gauri gives him a pleading look before turning her face away, leaving the decision in his hands. She knows she can't force an act of friendship and she needs to trust him to act on his wishes.
She doesn't hear him move until he's behind her, the smell of jasmine, chandan, and something earthy hitting her like a drug. Gauri stays still and her eyes close on their own when she feels Bhairav's fingers lightly brush away her hair from behind her ears. She feels her ears heat up and opens her eyes as he's putting the gajra in the small braided section of her hair that meets together at the back of her head.
Gauri's eyes fall on the stone floor, and with the sunlight falling in, she sees their shadows on the floor. They appear merged.
After seven more heartbeats, Bhairav finally stills. His fingers adjust the gajra for the last time and linger in her free hair for a breath, grazing the cascade of her hair for a moment before pulling away.
Gauri turns around to face him and beams at him, even as she feels a flush crawl up her neck. "Thank you, Bhairav."
He bows his head to her and steps back, the smell of chandan lingering like a caress between the two of them. "Anything for you, my princess."
»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»
Amar is as insufferable as ever as he groans when they see each other. "Why are you so late?" He almost whines as soon as she is in earshot.
Gauri raises an eyebrow at him and looks around pointedly. Vijay, a couple of more soldiers, Amar, Katappa, Bhalla, Veeraraj, Bhairav, and Gauri. Even Maa or uncle aren't here.
"It takes time and dedication to maintain the elegance that Mahadev only gave to only one of you." Bhalla says, slinging an arm around her shoulders. Gauri is momentarily scared for her gajra, but she relaxes instantly under Bhalla's arm, as she's been doing for years.
Vijay gives him a side-eyed look. "Yes, because He wanted the other one to come on Mahashivratri at the time!"
"Oh, then, would you mind fetching the rest of the royal family and the royal priest?" Gauri asks, her hackles raised with the way Vijay spoke between the siblings.
"I'm sorry, do I look like your pet guard dog? He's standing behind you." Vijay snidely replies, eyeing Bhairav with disdain. Amar senses the tension and moves closer, towards Gauri.
Gauri knows how loyal and how fierce Bhairav is. Comparing him to a guard dog is not wrong. However. However. However.
Only she can do that. Because she appreciates and approves the fierceness he has, the growl he has, the sheer capacity of destruction he has. Because she knows his loyalty, she knows she is his North and she is his law. Because he is her protection, he is her health and he is backbone. Someone to adore and protect— that is the relationship of a guard dog and its master. That is the relationship of Bhairav and Gauri, with reciprocation. He protects and adores her, and she does the same for him. He may be likened to a guard dog, but by her only. She may be likened to a guard dog, but by him only.
Gauri feels Bhairav step forward behind her, closing their distance, and she smirks, letting her canines show. "You should be glad that Bhairav has better manners than your guards. At least, mine is loyal to a fault, Mahoday. Do you want Bhairav to teach them some loyalty? I assure you, he won't mind."
As expected, Vijay turns his head sharply at his soldiers and Gauri feels cold satisfaction thrum in her ears.
So easy to manipulate. So easy, in fact, even Amar could have done it.
Before he can say anything else, the guards around them announce the arrival of Maa and Bhalla removes his hand from her, straightening up beside her. Amar and Bhairav remain at their respective positions.
"Don't play with fire, Gauri." Bhalla says, eyes towards his parents. "We can't forget our diplomacy."
Gauri keeps her eyes at her uncle and aunt too. "And he can't forget his station. I refrain from being arrogant, brother, but I will not stand for insults against me or mine. He is barely refraining from disrespecting me in a way that will be treason. We all know the punishment for treason."
Maa comes to them with a smile on her face that dims a bit when she sees the looks on their faces. "What happened?"
"Vijay spoke insultingly about Bhairavrath. Gauri implied that he has disloyal guards." Bhalla says, always clinical and logical. That's what she admires about him. He isn't biased with his emotions.
Gauri looks at Shivagami with an unrepentent look. Shivagami shakes her head minutely and purses her lips. "I know what you think, but behave yourself, Gauri. You are a princess. You cannot be accused of being mannerless. If you want retribution, do it discreetly."
"This is discreet, Maa," Gauri says, knowing that her aunt is right,"Being non discreet would be that I'd take his tongue with my dagger for the tone alone."
Maa sighs and turns to Amar, draping an arm around him. "At least tell me your tone was good enough." Gauri nods at her innocently, but something itches at her.
Amar is Maa's favourite. Bhalla is uncle's favourite. Who favours Gauri?
»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»
Bijjaldev pushes Gauri to do her pooja with Vijay. He almost dwarfs her in height alone, let alone his age. Gauri has half a mind to accidentally injure Vijay's knee so he can't kneel or sit in front of the shivaling with her. Thankfully, Mahadev is on her side.
Vijay doesn't know how to do the pooja. He does the abhisek, from a different vessel than her, closes his eyes, prays for a moment and leaves. Gauri is astonished at his behaviour but uses it to her advantage and looks at Maa, asking silent permission to let her complete her pooja. Maa smiles at her indulgingly and nods.
"Not him, Mahadev," she prays softly in her thoughts after completing her pooja. "Do not make me miserable. Because if I am tied to him, he will come to you. I shall not bear living alone for too long. I want to be loved and cared for. Let me be loved."
She opens her eyes and begins to walk out of the temple, where Amar and Bhairav are standing at the doorway. Amar forwards a hand to her and she easily grasps it following his lead with her head held high.
»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»
Amar squeezes her hand tightly as they move towards the centre of the temple, struggling with the crowd, even with their security. It's a tight fit, and the temple is decorated in all white flowers, their fragrance soothing and colour blinding, especially as the moonlight catches on them.
The day had been spent normally, but the evening is even brighter in Mahishmati as the whole state echoes the bhajans and chants of Mahadev and Mata Parvati. The evening aarti is even more beautiful and chaotic.
Gauri wishes she could tie her hair up in a bun but she's not touched her hair since the morning— since the moment Bhairav out in the gajra. It stays in her hair, snug and still fragrant. She's not even changed, since the morning.
Gauri keeps Amar ahead of her and Bhalla behind her as they all move, Bhairav and Veeraraj on either side of her. Maa and uncle lead the group, Vijay at the tailend. Her heart is hammering in her chest as she feels sweat clam up on her palms. She organised all this, and as it happens, she's afraid of anything that will go wrong.
Gauri keeps her spine straight and face neutral as they attend the aarti and let's herself smile as she's distributing prasaad to the nobles in the temple.
Just as she's beginning to think that everything has gone well, she turns away from Vijay to go back to Amar, she hears Vijay speak.
"May I have the attention of everyone?" He asks, and doesn't stop for long before banging his hand on a nearby empty platter to grab the attention of the nobles around them. Her heart starts to beat faster and she feels her smile freeze on her face, shoulders turning rigid. She feels the heat of panic spread in her chest and arms.
"In the attention of Mahadev and on this auspicious day of Mahashivratri, I announce my proposal to court Gauraangi Devi."
The empty thaali of prasaad stays in her hand and Gauri remembers another plate, years ago, that she used to make another egoistic man bleed.
The need for blood rises.

Nataraja (mystery academia)
You accidentally stumbled into an old temple located deep within a forest. There is a large bronze idol of a dancing god shrouded in darkness except a single diya illuminating the face of the idol. Did his eyes just gleam at you?
It's 4.30 in the morning. The whole world is asleep, but you are on the terrace dancing in darkness. For anybody else, it would be scary seeing how the giant trees sway their branches in sync with the rhythm of your ghungroos until you sit on the floor in exhaustion. Eyes closes, chest too heavy to breathe in, sweat drips down from your forehead until you hear a distant jingle of ankle bells from the staircase.
You are the last one to leave the dance class. Your guru has left the premises, leaving you the keys because you wanted extra time to practice the new piece you are to perform on Mahashivratri. The speakers were working just fine until out of the blue they screech horribly and emit the sound of a damru (a small two headed drum)
Your class is going to start in a while. You were among the early comers so you decided to offer the pranam and sit until the others come on time. Your touch the floor and a strange sensation runs along your fingers. The floor definitely wasn't metallic. When you open your eyes, you see a man holding large flames in his hand. You blink and he disappears.
The old grandmother in your neighbourhood is narrating the story of Nataraja, the God of Dance by whom every Indian dance form has been inspired. Her body is old, but her eyes sparkle as if she were young. You see her finger movements, they move with a skillful precision as if she were dancing the story out. You were heading towards your tution when her gaze lands upon you, and she blesses you with her hand upraised. "Shivoham shivoham"
"Look far, look within..." The sound fills your ears until you feel a soft touch on your forehead. You look up and see a man's face effused with peace and serenity. A large fiery circle moves around him. The fire enchants your eyes. Could flames appear this beautiful? The radiant colour of yellow blue flames dances across your face and you see them glow even more yet the flames don't hurt your eyes. As a small child who is attracted to colourful flames, you stretch your hand to touch them. A voice brings you away from the man and the fiery circle. "Beta, are you okay? You fainted midway through the song."
"No, beta I am not able to see Shiva in you. I want you to portray his stillness, his divinity, him as the overseer of all. Your stance has to match of a God. Take a break and we'll get back to it." You are tired. Your clothes are drenched in sweat and your limbs are about to surrender if you even move an inch. You close your eyes. The sound of your heartbeat deafens your ears. The sound of your heart starts sounding similar to a drum. It doesn't cause yout breath however to accelerate any further. It calms you down and a breeze of cool air brushes your face providing you a moment of respite.
Dark patterns swirl around you and you feel yourself getting lost in them. You hear the juniors chattering about the new movie and the sound of the nattuvangam in another class. You are aware of the present -- this isn't a dream. The dark swirling patterns start clearing like a mist and you see a strange yet bewitching sight. There is a large stage in front, but no audience. There is no roof but the endless night sky filled with countless stars. You see yourself dance. There's no music, no nattuvangam or any instrument playing around. Your body yet moves to some unknown rhythm played by nature. The same man with pleasant looks joins you. He wears the fiery circle as a garland around him. His large feet sports ghungroos same as yours and a beautiful smile graces his lips.
He dances around you, beside you. When you strike a pose, he takes up the same. When you pause and gaze afar at the darkness, he stops and acts the same. You don't feel fear or anything unusual about him. You dance as if he were your dancemate from class. Your head feels a sharp pain and you clutch it to catch one last look at the elegantly dancing man before you lose you consciousness again. You strike the famous Nataraja pose, and the man joins you too, but stands behind. You look at your dancing self from front and the sight is astounding. He appears as if he has merged into you. The space where he stands glows and the same whispers circulate around your being. 'Look far, look within..'
The stage lights are on. The chief guest are bus with their speeches while you blast Nirvana Shatakam in your headphones. You can't understand the loud noise in your head. There is a strange restlessness in your heart. You are anticipating an event, with no idea of what could it be. Worried, if you would give justice to the dance piece, you sink back and close your eyes. 'Neither am I the sky, nor the earth, neither the fire nor the air, I am Shiva.'
It feels as if an ocean of bliss surrounds you. You can't see the audience nor the musicians. You don't even hear the music nor the chime of ghungrus. Darkness surrounds you which isn't unsettling. You are aware that you are dancing and then a voice rings from somewhere above or is it your heart? Have you known this truth from so long?
Everything dances. The universe, the galaxies, the stars, the planets and the living. There's a silent music everywhere. It never stops not even when you stop dancing. With the birth of creation to its death, the dance of Creation and Destructions keeps going on. The stage is infinite. Look far! The great void stares back at you. It holds answer to your questions and you. Who are you? What do you seek? Who are you in this ever continuous dancing circle? How many births did you take to understand this simple truth? You are limitless -- you are me. I am you. We are one.
The audience burst into an applause. The sound deafens your ears. Some of the old people are in tears as they stand up and bow down to you. You realize that the dance music is still playing. 'Shivoham Shivoham' You bow down at the audience when your eyes catch sight at a silver gleam amongst the crowd. Matted hair, a crescent moon on the head, skin as white as camphor, rudraksha beads around his neck and arms. He raises his hands with a smile in blessing. Your eyes tear up, as you chant, "Shivoham"

April 11, 2024
dear moon, my drinking buddy,
Isn't it weird how I start writing about all the best things of my life when they come to an end? And I never thought I would start writing to you again but here I am, after two years, ranting about life (yes there is this girl and she is magical).
So for two years, I've been living a strange yet wonderful life. I met so many new people, cried for a few, laughed a lot, went on dates, and worked my ass off at a debt collection company, but the point here is that in two years I met the most amazing human beings along with the unbearable pain and those people helped me get through it. Nothing I can say will ever be able to appropriately appreciate them.
The problem I have right now is not really a problem, it's just a girl. On 8th March it was Mahashivratri, and like a random Friday, I woke up sad. It was Moksha Day 02 and we were supposed to attend this fest in NSUT; when I say WE, I mean Me, Nikhil, and Aakash. However, in the morning Nikhil called and informed me that he is not coming and I'll have to go with Aakash because he is participating in some speed dating thingy and he needs moral support. I got frustrated and did not wanna go because you know it is Aakash, he's annoying at times but I knew this is the only fest I'll be going to because I have this shit job to focus on so I decided to let it be, it is just about a day. I reached Nikhil's place and I told him how he was such a bastard for not coming along.
Do you remember how I said this girl is magical, now here comes the magic (you won't get it but it'll make sense later) when we are in the metro and Aakash shows me the Instagram account of this girl named (let's call her) Omen and he asked me if I would like to talk to her and I was like we'll see.
We reached the college, friendless, feeling left out but still there was a sense of excitement, a feeling that something good will happen, I won't be me today, I'll change. We went for the speed dating thingy and it went down into flames for him. My man doesn't know how to speak to a woman. Moving forward, he told me he wants to ask a girl out and I was like just go and speak to someone but he was just too scared. Near the food stall, I saw a girl and I was like I wanna talk to her. She was so pretty with her crop top and tangled hair. So we waited there, for the right moment. The moment never came but magic happened and Omen arrived, that too, out of nowhere. Can you believe it????? What sort of a coincidence is this????? She just ran into us and she took us with her. I was experiencing this kind of human interactions for the first time where these college kids are making friends this easily and I was so intrigued by it. So we went along with her to find the rest of her friends. It was a hassle to look for other people in that crowd and desperate Aakash could not resist but ask if there are any girls in her group and Omen was like yeah but she has a boyfriend. The moment Omen finished the sentence, her girlies arrived and I looked at her for the first time and all I saw was poetry. The faded color of her hair, wrists filled with bracelets as if they conceal a secret, her fingers had all the classy rings as if she is planning some sorcery which is somehow correct because Omen introduced us and she said she's pursuing BA and Black magic from DU. I was like WHAAAAATTT???? Let's name her Ameera because the meaning of her name is Indian Princess and that's what exactly she is, a princess. She said that and a friend of her interrupted between us ( I hate guy friends).
Aakash and I looked at each other and we both had the same thought: SHE HAS A BOYFRIEND. By the number of guy friend she has, it was impossible to find who is the main guy so we were judging her every interaction and based on the pattern of physical touch we would predict who is the guy and FINALLY a guy won. His name was Jacob and he was just THERE like all the time.
Anyway, I realized there is nothing that can happen between us but I was really fascinated with the Black magic that she told me about so I was curious to know more, that's why I stayed (I swear I stayed for the black magic only). We were in the campus, clicking pictures, and they were laughing on weird jokes which I found really weird that's why I maintained some distance from them because obviously my humor would make them cry. I found a batman mask and I wore it, suddenly everyone started looking at me. Stupid things I do to gain attention, but I liked it, they were curious to know what's behind the mask. Even Ameera clicked pictures of me with that mask on and even if I take the batman mask off there's still gonna be a mask because I lied to them, I lied how I am in NSUT, I lied about my schools, my friends and everything. I told them what they wanted to hear and the plan was just to enjoy the fest with them and never show them my face again but I don't know what kind of a magic she has done on me that I am craving her every second and it sucks it sucks so bad that I feel ridiculous to be alive for someone's attention.
By the evening, I couldn't bear there jokes so we slowly took the exit from that group of friends without even thinking about Ameera. The concert started and the artist came on the stage, everyone is hooting and I and Aakash are running towards the spot for the best view and that moron took us at the back. The weather was just like my skin, cold and dusky, someone would wanna eat it. I was thinking how, this music fest will end and I'll return to my boring life, where I have to work in the night shifts and play cricket in the day with two week-offs which I spend with some household chores.
So I made a decision, I will enjoy. I will go deep in the crowd for the best view, I will kiss random strangers and I will dance with my friends. With that decision I ran into the crowd and found a perfect spot to vibe. I lifted Aakash on my shoulders and enjoyed the most. But still there was a sense of emptiness, I don't know why, it was just there and then again the magic happened. Naman (Ameera's bestfriend) bumped into us and took us with them. I clearly refused because they all are really weird. He didn't even acknowledge my refusal and took us both. Then there was the whole group of friends, the lover, the best friend, the jealous angry bird, the rival in love and what not. Then there was she, I won't be exaggerating f I say I am writing this with tears in my eyes because I knew this will happen, that evening was so precious that it haunts my soul to realize there will never be a moment like that. And even if there will be a moment like that, she won't be there. What is it if not a curse? To have her seen roaming under the same sky with people who are not me.
Aakash lifted me on his shoulders and Ameera made a video of that where she called out my name and I was like HEYYY!! I went up to her and asked could you please send me this video and she said sure and took my number. I was so happy because I got one picture clicked, just one and in that moment I realized why friends are important and especially good friends because your lovers don't come to click your pictures while you are being a complete weird-ass in a music festival.
Then Omen suggested we should go deep in the crowd (from where we came) so we all sort of got in a trail and followed it till we were in the middle. All that time she was really close to Jacob, and I accidently touched her shoulder and I apologized, to which she said why on earth would you be sorry for that?? its okay?? The weird part here is, I usually don't do this; it's just with her. They all vibed with the artists, there pretty enlightened face and weird pictures got clicked. I was still maintaining a distance because I knew I don't belong to them. Then again the magic happened, Ameera came up to me and asked "why are you so depressed?"
I nodded my head and tried to speak but she looks so pretty that I did not know if I should waste a second telling her about my feelings or just use it wisely to admire her because I am never gonna see her again. So I remained silent and smiled. She took my hand and danced with me, in front of her friends (those lovers, rivals, besties, jealous birds) and they all hyped us up. Perhaps they were right when they said a woman makes a man attractive because nobody noticed me until she was there twirling me with the sweet melody, where my world actually spinned.
Later, Jacob also came in to dance with her, all of a sudden and he gave me the phone to click a picture of them and the way he did that was not very "could-you-please-click-a-picture-of-us-?" of him so I handed over the phone to Aakash just to show that I am not gonna do that because I am not like you people I cannot stay around her knowing she is not mine and still keep a hope that one day something bad will happen to her and she'll realize my worth?? Nah.... We don't do that here. I will bleed till death for her, in secret, but I will never ask her to come back.
Damn- I made it sound a little too cringe.
After that, Aakash asked Ameera if Jacob is her boyfriend and she laughed it off saying I don't have any boyfriend. Now I got the green signal to make any move. Aakash might not know how to speak to the love of his life but he clearly knows all the bro codes.
I always wanted to lift a girl on my shoulders during a concert (it was on my fuck-et list) and I gathered all my courage to ask her this and she said yes. In a few moments she was on my shoulders, my head between her thighs and I could feel how I do not wanna put her down. I did not know it was last two songs of the night and the concert came to an end. The crowd started leaving and she was still up there and I was like what now? can I take you home like this ? please?
Now there was no music, just a few friends, her and I. The energy she gives in unmatchable. You cannot cage her, you cannot ask her to be yours, you'll have to be hers. She who moves like a river, how can you even think about controlling her? You gotta surrender in front of her and use her flow to move along. I mean, she was literally running here and there and I did not feel like catching her. I enjoy looking at her too much that I don't even need her to love her. She asked me if we wanna hangout with her for a while and I wanted to say no because I knew it'll harm me (which it did) but I just said yes because the warmth and the flirtatious energy her words carry are magical.
We went to a cafe, followed by her few friends (inc. Jacob). She sat by my side and I could feel all the eyes were on us and I loved how Aakash was completely a part of her group now and they can't really talk bad about me because my man is there to defend plus he got me so much useful information (we love male friendships). She showed me pictures we clicked today, she told me how she has friend zoned almost everyone on this planet. Which I somehow knew because you can look at her and see she's being admired and boys are gonna love her and she is not someone who would commit so yeah I was so fucked.
I enjoyed talking to her so much that I lost track of time. It got late and I decided to take the pink metro line because Ameera has the same and I thought I would talk to her and it'll be just us but but but no, a friend decided to join us. The worst partis, I can't even show my frustration. However, luckily, he vanished mid-way somewhere and I got happy again but then, unfortunately, her another friends group bumped into us????? WHAT IS THIS HAPPENING?? CAN"T A GUY SIMPLY TALK TO THIS ONE GIRL HE LIKES??
She met all of them and when I say ALL I mean eight to ten human beings. During the interaction her station arrived and that's when I, out of nowhere, expressed how a little confused I am for my station since I don't travel via pink line and she said fine I'll come with you. In that moment, I got embarrassed because her friend knew that I am playing and maybe he also knew that she's playing along too because nobody gets confused for two metro stations???!! So he gave her a look, that's all I know and we reached my metro station. She clicked a picture of us on the reflection over the metro' gate. She asked me if I am coming tomorrow and I said I will because you want me to but tomorrow might not be that fun since we've already reached the peak of all the things I wanted to do. She refused and told me how there's so much left to explore. I did not believe her, at all. But now that I look back and think I see how she was so right, she has always been so right.
