How could Clover's skirt cause pain to her broken tail in that scenario?

Warning: Discussion of injury and self-mutilation ahead, as well as SPOILERS (I'd call it minor, or at least non-detailed) for the Guardians of Ga'hoole book, "The Rise of a Legend".

I'm not thinking so much that the skirt itself causes pain. Although having the skin pull on the injured spot might hurt a little.

I'm thinking more like a Lyze of Kiel situation, from the aforementioned book. (For context, he is an owl.) In that book, one of his toes/talons gets injured and causes him chronic pain. So he rips it off.

Clover is no stranger to pain--She can and will handle it in bursts. But I can see her getting fed up with chronic pain, especially if she sees a way out of it.

Alternatively, maybe something else ripped off her tail and part of the skirt, so she decided to finish the job.

Alright, some more GoG × TMA headcanons, part 5(i think)/?

This au has a playlist! By me. On youtube. It is a work in progress and it is mostly shanties now (becase of Ezylryb. He taught his chaw the shanties. This man knows so many shanties and you cannot change my mind). Song suggestions are very welcome!

Every time the collier/all-weather chaw has to camp out near the shores of Hoolemere after a training flight, there is a shanty singing session (temporarily abandoned during the Siege). Otulissa went from a miserable bundle of feathers tapping her foot to the beat to a shanty enjoyer - almost smacking Soren with a rare edition of "Shanties and somgs of the Northern Kingdoms" penned by Lyze of Kiel at one point because Soren is very dense and doesn't pick up that Ezylryb is prepairing him to take over as the new shantyowl.

"Hell's coming with me" by Poor man's poison but it is Striga and Coryn summoning Theo's ghost specifically to yell at him (may or may not spiral into Striga burning the Panqua palace down via Desolation powers)

"Pressure cracks", also by Poor man's poison, but it is Penryck and Ullryck going their separate ways. No, I don't ship them, I headcanon them as bi/ace solidarity friendship. I want to see ending friendship get the same gravity that romantic heartbreak gets in songs. Also, they both said a version of "Go ahead, make my day, punk!" at some point in my headcanon.

Thora Plonk lives. She's scarred and marked by The Slaughter, but she lives and kicks ass.

Just finished watching Legend of the Guardians: The Owls Ga'Hoole (2010) and here are some points I made while watching the movie:

Cons:

- Pacing of the movie at the start is a little quick. 10 minutes into the movie and the characters are already thrown into the movie’s plot.

- Kludd seems to somehow know how to fly without prior training or practice. At the start of the movie he had no idea how to take off yet a day later within the movie he suddenly can.

- 20 minutes into the movie we finally figure out the story. But it is indirectly, explicitly told to us and not shown.

- It seems only Kludd, Soren, Gylfie, Grimble and Ezylryb (AKA Lyze of Kiel) have a sense of depth to their character. Everyone else is pretty plain.

- Soren’s character arc seemed to be more focused on his physical abilities rather than personality and character in relation to the plot.

- Kludd’s corruption arc could’ve been more subtle.

Pros:

- The dynamics and traits of each character is clearly shown and not told.

- Right at the start, the movie foreshadows Kludd’s betrayal.

- Flawless animation and beautiful scenery.

- Dialogue is raw and real.

- Grimble being secretly against The Pure Ones caught me off guard as it is shown that he was loyal to them. It is explained why he’s secretly against them through brief backstory.

- The ending sets up for a good sequel. In one scene at the end it shows Kludd climbing up from a hill where he supposedly burned to death. In that scene it shows a mask in shot and Kludd looking at it implying that Kludd is gonna now cover his face to hide the burn marks (just like what the former leader of The Pure Ones did) and become the next leader of The Pure Ones and possibly the main antagonist in the sequel.

I'm on the last book for the Guardians of Ga'Hoole series, The Rise of a Legend, and another sentence just came to me.

I just had a flash back to the movie (which I did not think was that great after reading the books and comparing the story of the two, but anyway) when Soren and Gylfie arrive at the tree and were telling the parliament about St Aggie's and Alemere is brushing them off, meanwhile Ezylryb basically says, "Are you seriously not going to listen to them just because they are young?"

And I just had a moment of, "Ah! It all makes sense!" And now I'm gonna go back to reading now that I've made my post.
