Another request/ask/answer thingy:
The Bat fam are shopping and a lady stops them frantically and excitedly asking if Dami was between the ages of 7-19 and when Bruce confirms he is the lady hands him a paper and holds out a clip board telling him all about their talent show (like how little girls do beauty pageants and stuff, Since Damian has numerous talents: playing violin, numerous instruments, painting, I’m sure singing and dancing (I doubt Talia wouldn’t make sure he knew how to do such things) and that she’s always observed just how talented the Wayne’s are and that Damian would be perfect to enter in the contest and that the deadline is 5:00pm. And Bruce politely declines and a couple of kids-snotty rich ones that Dami recognizes form his class come up to make fun of him and snicker saying Dami wouldn’t really do too well in a talent show, while making racist comments about his heritage. So Dami decides to go back and sign up PURELY to prove to them that whether he’s fully white, Arabic, Chinese, or whatever it doesn’t matter because in a talent show…having talent and confidence is ALL that matters…two things Damian definitely excels perfectly in.
1.) how does the Batfam (this includes Anastasia) react to Damian entering a talent show, because he’s never done something like that before?
After entering word gets out that Damian Wayne entered and the list went from 4 contestants to 20-30, so The entire Batfam (Alfred as well) show up to support their little gremlin, go back stage to see Dami and see him getting ready. Dick is helping out on anything he needs his outfit, makeup to help his green eyes pop more, and Alfred his helping with his hair.

2.) how does the Batfam, Kent’s, & Diana react to Damian’s outfit and hair in the link?
Dami apologizes to Jon about canceling their afternoon movie for this and Jon is okay with it because this is cooler and they should both enter again.
Batfam leave they make fun of the other talents because the age range is 7-19 (so form Jon & Damian to Tim and Steph) and they were bullying Dami so payback, even the Kent’s and maybe a little of the JL show up especially Clark and Diana.
The Batfam think dami will do the violin or paint, but their not sure because Dick and Alfred coached Damian on choosing what he was gonna do and kept it from everyone else as a surprise….so when it’s Damian’s turn….he’s smiling brightly like a regular child his age looking happy and excited before confidently pulling off an amazing singing and ice skating act and it was amazing because the Batfam didn’t even know Dami could sing or ICE SKATE!-they were sure he could dance but not sing..he def got Bruce’s singing voice.
Dami’s determined to win because he wants to prove to those rich kids that he’s capable of competing and winning in talent shows regardless of his race.

Let’s be honest Dick is prolly in the walk way holding a huge camera in his hand recording and reciting some of the dance moves like a mom just like the mom did in Mean Girls during the plastics Christmas dance.

some of them were holding back their laughter, after all Damian again proving that he doesn't take shit home and that he has several talents, Dick was a little worried because Damian didn't do this before maybe Damian got hurt with the comment
They' find the outfit the cutest, some.of them talk some not, but i can say that everyone got a lot of photos, and i can also add that now Jon can brag to everyone in the contest that his friend have so many talents and didn't saw anyone doing better
Clark and Lois at first we're worried that Damian might fall but after some time they started to cheer and cheer up Damian from the audience, Bruce is quite proud and every other siblings looks surprised but well they're proud of their lil bro, Diana is cheering in loud voice, and if anyone even dare say something bad about her almost-nephew she gonna seriously start a fight.
They're all laughing, Jason is recording to save for Bribery, Damian is really good at the performance and talking to people
They're all just can't keep but also cheer to him, seriously if Damian didn't win this somehow something is really wrong with the Contest
Bruce loved it, well sincerely he was totally marveled, his dad used to sing to him when was sleep time so he was totally proud, Tim is putting this on YouTube and better Damian receive all the likes he deserves, Cass may or may be thinking on starting pick Damian to her Dance performances too, Dick is actually recording and saving it to himself.
They can't help but cannot stop the smiles of appear on their faces, Jason and Stephanie are legally thinking on go dance with Dick too, Diana is actually going and everyone is crackling.
They are not surprised but this doesn't mean they're not happy, they're literally cheering with everyone, Damian deserved this and deserved a lot more
Batfam is concerned and proud of having this little jewel on family and now knowing that he gonna do everything if you tease him enough, this knowledge gonna be saved.
Diana totally thinks on invite the Wayne's to any party that shows up to see the reactions of the rest of the fam to Damian's singing voice
Now that the Kents know that Damian can dance let just say that he can't Avoid participating in the festival dances

I really REALLY like your locorro Hunger Games au I can’t stop thinking about it 247 I’m so obsessed i dreamed about it my head in the clouds every seconds!! So i have to personally write to you here cuz it just BLOWS my mind like????✨💞✨ my god you made me want to watch hunger games again.
Btw i was thinking of another idea, what if spider and lo’ak are from different districts? Like complete strangers with connected history(their dads)?? I don’t know, maybe Spider could be from d12 and Peeta-coded. while Lo’ak from either d1,2 who, like your idea, was trained especially for the games by his fam?? Or vice versa?? And they met in the games and the history between their dads almost repeated? I imagine Quaritch a peacekeeper who may accidentally killed Neteyam(for angsty, his team did out of his order) And Jake(former victor) almost got his remaining kids killed by attacking Q? With this beef Spider and Lo’ak met in the game, i think Lo’ak would try to avenge his bro and the boy is wild(with his blicky esp lol) but Spider who is Peeta-coded doesn’t have a single bad bone. Imagine the irony when Lo’ak injured himself and the ONLY one who actually help him is his enemy. Or so he thought.
In the end Spider and Lo’ak become Katniss and Peeta and survived both??? I’m a happy ending kinda guy so I can’t handle one of them die when they started to get along well. Anyways! What’s your take? This just some thoughts I wanna share<3
AHHH I'm so so glad you liked it so much!! I get caught with certain au's playing in my head 24/7 all the time, to have inspired that is so exciting.
OH UR VOTING FOR CAREER LO'AK or Spider, I'm intrigued. I personally vibe much more with the Sully's being from district twelve. District twelve is pretty racially coded, and Katniss herself is supposed to be indigenous. The vibe of her having been trained naturally for the games with skills she learned and honed from being part of her culture just for survival fits so well with Avatar that I really can't part from it. That's why I love that idea of Jake and Neytiri planning and training the kids; I can't see them not doing that.
So I would lean career Spider. One of the most interesting parts of The Hunger Games is the careers, and the fact that even as the villains in the first movie and book, you quickly grow to see them as the victims they are. Katniss hates the careers up until she sees Cato's reaction to Clove's death, and she realizes that Cato and Clove were kids with feelings who were forced into this just like her. That Cato and Clove might have been hoping to somehow live together just like her and Peeta. The career districts are just setting their kids up for the best chance to live, and pitting the districts against each other is the best way for those in power to stay in power. SO, I think career Spider would be a fun idea (as much as I prefer when the kids all grow up together).
Spider's been pushed to be the best possible career he could his entire life. Quaritch, out of an abundance of fear for his kid but also knowing what is gained if his kid wins, makes like a 24/7 hell for Spider. Training does not stop when he leaves the facilities, no, Quaritch keeps it up at home. Never a second of peace. I think Spider is a naturally empathetic person, but watching the Games keeps him that way. He sees the kids he trained with die year after year, and instead of hardening him it makes him sad. He does not enjoy hurting people, and takes more naturally to the physical strength and endurance parts of his training. He's not really sure what else he'd even be of use for, he doesn't have any friends and his dad sucks, and his life is really pretty shit, so he figures he'll volunteer and make sure at least one other person doesn't have to go die that year.
Totally Lo'ak wouldn't trust him as far as he could throw him, which is not that far at all because Spider'd be tall as fuck and all muscle if he's been trained 24/7 by QUARTICH his entire life. So, Spider's fucking around the arena just vibing. He probably had to kill a person or two at the cornucopia and he was Not happy about it, but he kept that shit pretty visible because his dad says sponsors in one and two would hate a pussy and now he can actively spite his dead because he'll never see him again so who cares. He just kind of mentally breaks and experiences every single emotion he's never had before like, all the time. He's free for the first time in his life so he's just kind of enjoying himself even if it's in a death area, he doesn't know how to turn it off.
Unfortunately, letting himself be free and feel emotions comes with emotional growth and learning that is really really misplaced. He runs into Lo'ak by a stream and just freezes as he comes to the realization he's gay and attracted to that kid across the stream. He is processing this, mouth open staring at Lo'ak, when Lo'ak tries to shoot him in the face with an arrow. He only misses because he gets knifed in the back by another career who thinks Spider is all team career but comes to realize Spider would rather explore suddenly being gay then let someone who'd stab someone from behind live.
Cue the Peeta and Katniss injury healing in the cave bonding shit. Lo'ak is VERY mouthy and rude for someone who's life now depends on Spider, but that's fine. Once he decides Spider didn't save him for any shady reasons, Lo'ak becomes a pretty good bestie. He has extensive plant and forest knowledge that Spider soaks up like a sponge. Lo'ak tells him about his family, his life, and gets SPider to talk about himself and what he likes (nothing, he doesn't know, he has two things on the list; tree climbing and men). Eventually, one night while they stargaze in a tree Lo'ak showed Spider how to climb, unsocialized freak Spider tells Lo'ak he'll go kill the others in the area and then come back and let Lo'ak kill him so he can be the victor and get back to his family. He says this all matter of factly like he's telling him something they both already knew. Lo'ak fREAKS OUT and they have a big fight that results in them splitting up for the night.
Spider is distracted by losing his first friend, his first gay boyfriend (jokes lol), and doesn't notice anyone sneaking up on him until much too late. Lo'ak saves him from gettin' fULLY bludgeoned at the last second, he just got a nasty smack on the head. Lo'ak informs him it's really rude to die for people, and that Lo'ak wants him around and would like him to live. He argues if Spider has nothing going for him, neither does Lo'ak. He's the fuck up child. So Lo'ak talks him into their death pact that results in their double victory.
It's a beautiful idea and I love it. I hope this did it for you again, anon, lol.
Oh, and I'm 1000% sure if he lived Neteyam referred to Lo'ak's life being saved by his INSANE RIZZ all the time. And Neytiri and Jake were oBSESSED with Spider, who wanted to literally die for their son on national propoganda TV. They are his biggest fans, they love him more than Lo'ak sometimes it seems.

FUN FACT FRIDAY!!! What’s one fun fact about you that you haven’t shared with us yet? 💜
Ooh, fun ask, thanks Susie!
Hmm...fun fact? I work in hospitality and one of the perks of my job is free resort stays. It's the only way my husband and I are able to travel as much as we do. We can also be reimbursed up to $250 a year for travel expenses, such as rental cars or flights.
Because of this perk, we're able to travel at least 2-3x a year. In 2022, we were actually in San Francisco and then 3 weeks later in Myrtle Beach. Coast to Coast in under a month!
We try to space travel out, but some years, PTO gets rearranged and it just happens we travel in back to back months. Happened in 2020 as well where we were in Vermont and 2 weeks later we were in Pheonix, Arizona😅
This year we have 3 trips planned. Southern California was in February, Maine is in June, and Colorado is in July.
For 2025, it's up in the air depending on if we can get back into IVF or not. But I do know we'll be back in Southern California, likely in October. It's a destination we try to get to every year. This was our 4th year.
Some states I'd still like to see are Washington, Oregon, New Mexico, Montana, Louisiana, Idaho, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Minnesota.

Hi, sorry, I stumbled upon your rant about the bad Alice adaptations- I'm curious to know your thoughts on the 1981 Kievnauchfilm animated adaptations of Alice In Wonderland and Through The Looking Glass! I don't think it's faithful to the story beat for beat, but I am pretty sure it manages to capture the same bonkers vibe of the stories.
Hi! I haven't watched them yet to be honest so I couldn't express an opinion on them. My rant was more about tv series using Lewis work and adapting them for a plot point than the media that actually tries to follow the story, albeit with some changes.
As you said, the stories are bonkers and it's very hard to use the themes or story bits they explore in a single season without it being so detached from the series that's trying to emulate the books. Normally it's just surface level and it's okay, but when the series are about fairy tales I always feel a little disappointed.

Might be the bilingual nerd in me, but I feel like not enough fics work through this in general. Valid honestly, it is a tricky subject... And I have a lifetime of learning English by reading fics with google translate and dictionary in hand, working thought songs lyrics and watching movies with subtitles so I could learn to read, listen, speak and write in an idiom no one around me got.
I will do my best to continue delivering! Tide 4 is on rough draft stage right now but I feel like is a good one, if a bit different of what we got so far. I hope you still enjoy it ` v´

10.) Share something you're really proud of
The life I've built and how far I've come. I did not have a great upbringing, and the cards were very much stacked against me. I always had the sense growing up that no one expected much from me.
For so many points in my life, I've only had myself to rely on. And I wanted to do right by me.
I think if 10 year old me could see how things turned out, she'd be very pleased. One of my favorite poems is about an adult woman sitting on a bed with her younger self. The little girl asks "does anyone end up saving us?" And the adult smiles and says yes. The girl's eyes light up, and she asks "who saves us?" The adult takes the child's hand and replies "we do, we save ourself." ❤️

Once I visit Maine this summer, I will have visited every East Coast state.

Surprisingly, no! It's a chill night. My husband is playing D&D with his friends, and I'm just relaxing.
