i get tornado by jesse jo stark vibes🌪 you've been waiting for this day for months, counting down the days until you could leave your hometown and venture off somewhere new !! somewhere bigger and brighter !! you've worked non-stop for years, sometimes two/three jobs at once while living with your parents. your late teens/early twenties were focused on your wild naive dreams, while your friends got married or started their careers, you were stuck in diners and shops, saving every cent for the future outside of this blip on a map.

you only needed a ride to the neighbouring city, the one with a train station that could take you somewhere far, far away. as you savour your last milkshake at your fave diner, you overhear a stranger talking about his next stop, another city but in the same direction as yours !!

so you take a chance and ask if you could hitch a ride: "I'll pay you! I just... I gotta get out of here." You stare down at your bags, trembling under his hard gaze, "please, it has to be today... I've had it marked down forever!"

the handsome man is quiet for a few moments, silently admiring your green sundress and old sneakers. you haven't even told him your name yet asked for a ride. "does it have to be right now, or can you wait?"

"I-I can wait, sir. I'm very patient, I promise."

he cocks a grin and nods to the seat across the table, "why don't you have a seat? let's get to know each other before sittin' in a car for over an hour."

in hindsight, you should've never trusted this stranger, regardless if Ari gave you butterflies and seemed genuinely interested in your small-town life and big-city dreams. it all happened very fast: "you ever seen a gun before?" then a switch flipped and one of the waitresses was bleeding, everyone was screaming until Ari demanded for silence and "all the fuckin' money" from the register and the other patrons. you must've blacked out bc the next moment you're dazed in the backseat with handcuffs around your wrists. He promised not to make it too tight, "only if you're a good girl, okay?"

and it doesn't just end there: after Ari gets tired of your crying and pleading for freedom, he gags you with a bandana. then he pulls over on a dead-end road with abandoned houses and strangely enough, there's someone else there. he's leaning against the black and white car with a cigarette between his fingers.

The sheriff walks right past you, ignoring your loud whimpers and restless banging on the window. His eyes are shaded by dark glasses as he opens the passenger side and slides in. You recognize him from around town, he's as tall as Ari, and as broad as a mountain. He's driven you home a few times on late nights and even attended dinners hosted by your father, you thought he was a good guy.

As he settles into the leather, he glances over his shoulder, and a soft sigh falls from his pink lips. "You know, her daddy is close with the mayor."

Ari shrugs, "she should've known better."

You weep because he's right, you should've known better! (me thinks... reader is just a little dummy blinded by her dreams 🥺 quite sad if you think about it. she's too trusting of others, and time after time, she's been betrayed but she's never learnt her lesson).

"She's a gem, that's for sure." Sherrif Everett notices the bags on the floor, "Oh, are you skippin' town, sweetheart?"

You can't answer and just stare at him, broken and confused. You watch in horror as he takes one of the duffle bags, exchanging a handshake with your captor.

"Any guess on when you'll be back?"

Has he been here before?

"Maybe a week or so, who knows..." He licks his lips, blue eyes meeting yours through the rearview mirror, "this sweet thing may be of more use than just lookin' cute."

many possibilities here !! stockholm syndrome? does the reader end up being Ari's partner in crime? does she ever escape or does she get trapped in it all? as for Ari, has he been here before but the police always cover it up? one thing is for sure: Ari isn't ever going to let her go... and he'll do whatever it takes to keep her... if you catch my drift...

For a split second I didn't know who I was going to write this one about, and then Lizzy dove nto my brain looking panic stricken...

Me:

Andric Roche attempting to propose to Lizzy Hail beneath the cut... potential spoilers for post-book series relationship dynamics? I guess? There's nothing plot spoilering in there, but it's a sneak peek at how Andric and Lizzy will end up.

It took Lizzy longer than she'd like to admit before she realised what Andric was doing.

The day had been lovely. He'd met her for lunch, a quiet affair at a restaurant that had become her favourite shortly after she'd settled into the mortal realm, and now they were walking back through the park.

The sun was warm, the birds singing, and Lizzy could hear bees drifting on the wind, bouncing from flower to flower and helping to summon in the spring.

They weren't the only people enjoying one of the first comfortably warm days of the year. She could see other couples walking together. A family playing with their young child. Older teens kicking some sort of ball around.

She blamed these distractions for not noticing, at first, that Andric was no longer beside her and by the time she turned, the vampire was already down on one knee.

Shock hit her heard and her breath caught just as Andric took a deep, somewhat bracing, breath and began to reach into his pocket.

No...!

Panic washed away her shock and she darted to him, nearly stumbling in her rush.

"Lila—"

Her hand pressed against his lips, stifling his words before he could rush them out, and her other hand leant hard against his shoulder. Partly to stop him pulling out the jewellery box she somehow knew was in his pocket, but mostly to stop herself falling. Her rush forward and sudden stop had send the world spinning around her, and Lizzy refused to imagine that there might be any other cause.

"Not here!" she hissed, part furious, part embaressed, and pushing down the joy that was bubbling up beneath it all.

His hurt and confusion melted away at her words, and his eyebrows lifted in quiet question.

Lizzy held Andric's mist grey eyes for a moment, waiting to see if he'd heed her warning, before slowly pulling her fingers away from his lips.

The same lips that had almost put the most private part of their love on display in public.

The same lips that were twitching slightly in supressed amusement.

Everything fey in her had recoiled at the thought of something as vulnerable as love being opened up to such a spectacle, and Lizzy scowled at him, eyes narrowed.

"Does that imply if I ask you later, you might let me finish the sentence?"

Lizzy's heart was pounding, and she knew he could hear it, but she wouldn't let him win, and she gave a soft sniff of dismissal.

"I suppose you'll have to wait, until we're alone, to find out, won't you?" she suggested, implied, threatened, but Andric read between the lines of her irritation and embaressment just as he'd always been able too, and slowly climbed to his feet a beaming smile creeping across his face as though she hadn't interrupted him at all.

As though he'd asked, and she'd answered.

When his arm curled around her, Lizzy jabbed an elbow into his side and stepped away, changing their direction until they were heading for home.

Andric didn't call her on it. Merely keeping pace, with a smile on his face, and one hand still curled around something cube shaped in his pocket.

hcs on how that happened and also a concert thats used as a way to announce that to kalims parents?? what sons would be played ;ooo

Okay first off, I'm making a fic saga now

And I also made a playlist

Lets say some of these songs he sung to his partners or during concerts

And final now that Esther is in this ship, I lowkey want to add Arie in too so the first few headcanons are of their dates!

Esther and Kalim's date was to see the stars. Like magic carpet ride and then a picnic on top of the entire island where the stars are the brightest and he brought as much of their favorite foods

Arie's and Kalim's date was a stroll in town and Arie kept trying to hint hint on the date and Kalim, sweet heart, was missing the signs and didn't even try to kiss him until he asked by the end of the date and Arie's just- "Bro why is he so cute?! I feel bad thinking things now!"

I can see the band club being the first open poly relationship with Kalim since everyone who comes to visit sees Kalim holding someone's hand or sitting on their lap or one soul caught Cater and him kissing at the drums

It started kind of like how the original post but either way the others didn't confess yet or they did and they're all taking it very slow but Lilia, Cater, and Esther were like "Mmm yeah now I don't think I'll do that"

Jamil used to be very annoyed by this whole thing and lowkey highkey jealous, no matter how much he acts like it doesn't bother him

Things changed after Kalim, after talking to his bandmates/lovers first, asked everyone out and the dates happened the same just different

Some parents lowkey knew before they came out cause of certain things

Like a picture of Kalim in the Sunset Savannah get up is Ruggie's screensaver and his grandma teases him like "Well who's that cutie?"

Epel once joined a video call to home and forgot he stole one of Jamil's hoodies and was wearing it

Sebek just accidentally outed himself when his siblings teased him about something and he went "How do you know that!?"

Now with Esther involved, RIP everyone's necks and thighs-

I was about thinking adding Rielle in the mix since he is mentioned but I decided against but COULD YOU IMAGINE THE GROUP IF ISAAC WAS IN IT?!

NOW CONCERT~!

The show was a sell out and fast

All the families of every partner are there and the school rented (with Kalim's and Leona's money help) the biggest concert hall and any transportation prices for everyone to be there

Kalim been wanting to come out publicly about his relationship for a while and this is his dream way with his favorite people consenting coming out all though a lot of them (ie Riddle, Ace, Jamil, and Rollo) were still nervous of the outcome.

They started the show with the favorites

Before Kalim took the mic as they all swap instruments with a smile

"Is everyone having a great time?!"

Is met with cheers

"Well that's good. Today's concert is very special to me and to...well everyone... The next songs are a bit inspired by the big surprise."

Then he and them sang these songs all while the lovers knew what inspired him

When it got to They Don't Know About Us he allowed a slideshow of his time at NRC, the friends he made, the choices he made, the friends he made outside of NRC, before they slowly started to show his more cute romance pictures and videos of him with his partners either one on one cuddling and kissing or group activities like watching a movie or partying at Scarabia

Many people were confused until they slowly pieces it together and went "Ooooooooh"

After the song ended Kalim went back to the mic, came out and announced he's in a polyarmous relationship and used his magic to give each of his lovers a flower from the sky

After the show ended Kalim disappeared and Jamil was informed his family wanted to talk to him. He got worried and went to find him, stopping for a moment to drag Riddle cause "Your mum sucks follow me so we can find Kalim"

Kalim got chewed out by his own parents for being "very disgusting" or his "vulgar display" and say if he wants polygamy he could've just asked, they could set up a harem for him even.

Kalim responded with, "But I don't want polygamy. With polygamy I just have many wives, and a harem's job is to just do sexual things with higher heads. I'm happy with the polyarmous relationship I have now, we all love each other-" And he almost got slapped just for saying that until Jamil came in with Riddle

Kalim's father slapped Jamil instead cause "blame the lower class" but luckily Azul stepped in fast like "Uh excuse you that's my boyfriend you're hitting"

Kalim's family soon left with hisses that Kalim should choose the right decision in life

Kalim was sad yeah but he just shrugged and said, "well i choose love" and accepted Azul's smooches and holds Jamil close while Kalim holds both Jamil's and Azul's hands

Yeah Vil, Floyd, Arie, and Leona wanted to kill Kalim's dad after seeing the bruise on Jamil's face

The group rejoined in Scarabia where the dorm did a little surprised "congratulations for coming out to your family and the world through Cater's Neige's and Vil's livestreams" party

They all ate, drank, chatted, snuggled, danced, and by the end of the party they went to Kalim's room and had a massive sleep over/cuddle pile with some of the party's left over foods and drinks (Arie snuck in the good shit don't worry)

It was too quiet, Nameer had told Andric the night before, standing in the Hunters equipment room and peeling off weapons and armor so they could be serviced.

The forest. The animals. The hunters had seen signs of kavians, but not encountered a single one.

Andric had been able to see the anxious tension on his friends face, but hadn't been able to offer the man any reassurances.

He'd been foolish. Lax. He couldn't believe he hadn't noticed the signs—

He interrupted his own thoughts by knocking on the door to Lizzy's rooms, hard and fast, and waiting impatiently, shifting his weight.

"Come on, come on," Andric muttered, knocking again, louder, the firm thumps against the wood bordered on thunderous and, finally, he could hear scrambling movement on the other side of the door.

It was Cara who answered, eyes wide and confused as she stared out at them, but Andrics gaze immediately went over her head to lock on Lizzy, the fear that had curled around his heart easing just slightly at the sight of her.

She was only half-awake, with her blue eyes glazed, and her long dark hair sleep mussed.

"What's going on?" Cara hissed, clutching a dressing gown around her form, and Andric sucked in a sharp breath, before clenching his teeth.

"I can't say."

Whatever Happened to Madeline Hail?

When Madeline Hail makes the journey from the fey realm of Arbaon to the mortal realm, she thinks the greatest danger is to her heart. Instead, she finds herself quickly fighing for her life against rabid kavians intent on claiming her magical fey-blood for themselves.

When she is inevitably outnumbered and overpowered, making an unthinkable bargain might be the only way to save her life, but being alive doesn't mean she's safe.

Changeling

Fey go missing in the mortal realm. Everyone knows that. When Lizzy's mother is the next to vanish she is expected to grieve and move on. Instead Lizzy wants to find out what happened, but the answers she seeks can't be found in the fey realm of Arbaon. With the help of her best friend, Booker Reed, Lizzy is determined to retrace her mother's final steps, straight through an illegal portal and into the mortal realm. Whatever leads she expected to find, it wasn't an academy of vampires, and a world stalked by their rabid cousins, the kavians. Forced to rely on the vampires for protection, and secluded away behind the high walls of Speculo School, it quickly becomes clear that not everyone is pleased with Lizzy and Booker's investigation. With danger building the further they dig, the two fey need to decide if the answers they seek are worth risking their lives for. The longer they remain with the vampires, the more Lizzy begins to suspect that her answers instead lie amongst the deadly kavians.

30 Days to 70k - Camp Nano July 2022

Post nine, for July 11th & 12th...

July 11th did not happen.

We're not even talking about July 11th.

Suffice to say it was another zero word day.

On the other hand, July 12th went okay.

I wanted to get around 4k, I managed 1,833 words. I'm willing to take it and not complain, considering how the previous few days have gone.

The UK is also in the middle of a heatwave, to concentrating through the soup that my brain has become is... troublesome.

I'm going to try and get my seven day lead back for July 13th, but frankly, anything over my minimum needed word count (which is currently sitting at 1,642) I'll consider a win until this temperature eases off a little.

And that's my update, now someone pass me a ice cream...

"Lizzy Hail," Andric murmured softly, "the five-foot-three bundle of stubbornness and determination. The young woman who won't back down from anything. Not even a rabid kavian. Not even when I've spent weeks teaching her how to run from one. Whose telekinesis was strong enough to protect herself and her friend."

Carefully Lizzy opened her eyes, and turned to look at Andric. He'd moved even closer, and was now leaning one shoulder against the tree she had her back pressed against, staring down at her with an infinitely gentle expression that made her heart slam against her chest.

"What are you doing?" she asked softly, and the corners of his mouth twitched up into a familiar flash of a smile.

"I'm being honest with you," he answered gently.

My #1 post of 2022

30 Days to 70k - Camp Nano July 2022

Post one, for July 1st...

This is a spur of the moment thing, I've no idea how consistent I'll be going forward, but I wanted to give a progress update for Day 1 of Camp Nano.

First things first, I'm a night-time writer. My most productive period of the day is between 10pm and 5am. This creates some unique challenges for Nanowrimo, since the tracker ticks over in the middle of my writing sessions.

Which is why, when midnight rolled around, I wasn't too worried that I hadn't hit my goal yet.

At the end of Day One, I had a word count of 2,069. 281 short of my minimum daily words needed to reach 70k by the end of the month. But, I logged my words, and kept writing! I was in peak time!

It's currently 5.40am. I stopped writing about half an hour ago, and my word count for July 2nd is currently sitting at 5,034.

And any words I add after I wake up this afternoon, and before midnight rolls around, will only add to that.

We're getting there! Experience with Nano tells me that the more "gap" I can give myself between what I have, and what I need, in this first week, the higher the likelihood will be that I'm successful, so here's to the next 5 days being just as epic!

Ari sat, propped up by an assortment of pillows against the headboard, head tipped back; long sandy strands clung to the sweat on his brow.

Soft amber glows from the setting sun snuck in through the glass panes, covering your naked body with a fading warmth as you laid between his legs. Red lipstick smeared over your lips, cheek and chin; the same red lipstick covered Ari’s thighs in pretty kisses smudging under your fingertips as you kneaded his thighs as you lapped at the skin of his balls, letting out soft, muted moans that made Ari reply with pleased hums and chesty grunts.

Heat burnt across your cheeks and the burning remnants of Ari’s heavy palms on your thighs blended together. The hues of red smeared across your face was complimented by the muted pink of your tongue, skilfully rubbing at the underside of Ari’s balls before your lips parted to suck one slowly into your mouth.

‘’That’s it, Pup,’’ Ari groaned, slow and deep; hand stroking over your hair, his hand settling lightly on the back of your neck; the sudden softness from the heaviness of his hands earlier caused your head to spin. ‘’Such a good pup.”

You whined at the sound of his drawled praise, pleasure filled and throbbing core. Your hips humped at the sheets below you, hopelessly trying to find enough pressure to relieve the ache between your legs. Ari’s chuckle soon brought you out of your head as you peered up to find his gaze locked on you, a smirk pulled at his lips.

‘’Pathetic little Pup, humping the sheets like a bitch in heat. Live for nothin’ but to be used— nothin’ but hole,’’ Ari taunted, hand now gripping the back of your neck, drawing you closer to his sack. ‘’And you fuckin’ love it. You know you do. You’d waste days between my thighs, wouldn’t you, Pup?”

A pitiful whine escaped your throat as you were forced to lower your gaze from his intense stare, trying to sink into the sheets while keeping your mouth and tongue running over his balls.

Thrown dishes, broken glass, picture frames on the floor. The remnants of a lost love etched by the sounds of your cries into the tattered walls of the home you shared.

With pleading cries, tear stained cheeks, and heart in your throat, you’re grabbed and shoved out the door in nothing but a pair of sweats, and shirt with a coat being darted at you whilst you laid on the ground. One too many hours were spent afterwards pounding your fists against the front door, begging to at least have your purse so you can get a hotel room.

Just as you were about to leave, looking down at your battered, red hands, your purse was dropped out of a window; the contents spilled onto the grass below. With a sigh, either sadness or relief; you weren't sure which, you bent to pick up your scattered belongings, cursing the man during.

Luckily, you had everything you needed; cash, ID, and your shitty, overused phone.

You called around for a cab, numb fingers shaking as you pressed the blurry numbers, but with it being Friday night, you were looking at a long wait so instead, you decided to cut your losses and walk to find the nearest hotel.

The downside of moving, and being essentially trapped within the same four walls for months on end, is that you quickly found yourself lost– and being lost on Skid Row was the last place you wanted to be.

You willed your tears to not fall after you walked by tent after tent, stranger after stranger, clutching your purse tight, old key’s spread between your fingers, and finally found yourself outside the Hotel Cecil. You laughed to yourself in disbelief of having to head inside and get a room; but nonetheless, you did just that.

Lying on a dingy bedspread, surrounded by more nicotine-stained walls, you muffled your cries behind your hands and slowly fell into a sombre slumber and wondered just how the fuck you had gotten yourself here.

Over the next few days, you walked around, getting to know your surroundings and applying for jobs left and right. You were forced to ration your food while you looked around for cheaper hotel rooms. You were trying your hardest to avoid the sprawls of clubs begging for dancers but after finding yourself downtrodden after applying for yet another job and getting immediately dismissed, and not having any luck finding a cheaper room, you walked back to your grubby hotel and bump— quite literally— into two drunk guys.

‘’Ooh, one of Pete’s girls,’’ The guy slurred while his eyes glazed filthily over your body making you instinctively wrap your arms around yourself.

‘’I don’t know who that is and I’m certainly not one of anyone's girls,’’ You defend, slowly backing away as the guy then sighs and points behind you.

‘’Well, you’d sure fit in with the rest of ‘em.’’

With that, the men carried on with their drunken journey while you left bewildered.

You shook your head and turned to carry on home when you were suddenly blinded by a huge, purple neon sign:

Pete’s Place.

Underneath a small notice hung from the sign read: Dancers Apply Within.

You looked around and whined quietly while you watched patron after patron enter the club. Two heavily built doormen eyed you. You shook out your bundling nerves, hung your head and followed the thump of the bass into the belly of the seedy club. Red and purple hues guided you into the belly of the club where you found red booths filled with drunk bodies that circled small stages. Girls with perfect form swirled around the pole, capturing the attention of everyone inside.

‘’And who might you be?’’

You turned to find a man staring intensely, glass warm in hand, sharp suit and sea-blue eyes. Your mouth hung, mind blank for a moment before sputtering out,

‘’Oh, I– I’m looking for the owner– I was hoping to… Audition…’’ You trailed off as the man began to circle you, fingers pried away your coat slightly, gaze wandering over your body. Calloused fingers tilted your chin upwards while he inspected your face before a slight smile appeared on his lips.

‘’Yeah, you’ll do,’’ He concluded and began to walk away. ‘’Follow me.’’

‘’I take it you’re the owner,’’ you inquired as you followed the man to the other side of the club and down a dimly lit hallway, smiling back at, what you assumed was, one of his girls. ‘’You’re Pete?’’

‘’That’s me,’’ he confirmed as you’re led into an office. ‘’Gonna need to see ID, need you to sign a couple contracts, and for you to take your clothes off,’’ he quick fired as he sat himself in his chair and threw a small stack of paper across the table.

‘’Excuse me? Contracts?’’

‘’All my girls sign to stay loyal to the club, I don’t need anyone running off and taking my profits with him– helps limit competition, and I need to see what I’m working with here, you’re not exactly gonna be wearing a winter coat out there. Usually you’d come during the day, work the pole but, I got three of my regular girls out tonight, so it’s your lucky day.’’

‘’Oh,’’ You answer simply, pausing before a moment. ‘’Right, yeah, lucky me– Of course,’’ you stumble out as you reach into your pocket and slide your ID on to his desk before peeling your jacket off and taking in a heavy breath before lifting your shirt over your head and sliding down your skirt with shaking hands.

‘’Over here,’’ Pete summoned, fingers tapped at his desk before turning his chair to the side to make use of empty space, relaxing into the chair with parted legs.

‘’Show me what you can do.’’
