The ending chapter and the first one of a new life
part 1 part 2 part 3 part 4 part 5
You did it, you defeated the aliens, you got rid of the bomb, you played your role of the Knight of Krypton. You protected everyone, you did your job and now its over. That was not expected, you reached the top, did everything everyone was expecting and more, you had it all and now it is over. After the battle and everything that happened with the aliens you celebrated with your family, you rested and then, you moved on. Wow that was unexpected, you were sure that fight was going to be your awakening just like Kara had with the plane. But it wasn't, the urge, the need, the purpose you felt those days to save your family to play your role, they had all disappeared. That feeling was gone, like if you had completed everything you were meant to do even if for you it felt like the beginning not the end.
One evening, after a long day of school and training, cause even if two weeks ago you were the hero you were still a teenager who had to finish her last year of highschool, you got home. You were tired and hungry and ready to take a shower, but instead of going quickly to your room you stayed there. On the front door,  it was today, it had to be.
For the last two weeks Kara had been offering you to join her whenever a situation came up and you were grateful about it. It was hard for her to assume that you were no longer a kid. But you somehow still wanted to be one, or at least while you could. After a lot of over thinking you got to the conclusion, you don't want to quit everything to be the next superhero, you just want to have that door open for when you are ready. You want to be able to do so and to protect your loved ones, but you also want to keep your life. So you've been making excuses to not go with your mother, but it was time to tell the truth.
‘Hey Y/N, how was your day?´said Kara while opening the oven. (Since she and Lena got together she's been trying to surprise her with a cake made by herself but she always ended up burning it) ‘Do you think it's edible?’ she asked trying to be positive
‘It does not look like it’
‘Is everything okay? You seem a bit off’ She asked, she probably heard your heartbeat, which was going faster by the second
‘Actually, I wanted to talk to you about something, I-’
Before you could continue Lena walked through the door, if she was a cartoon you would be able to see the smoke coming out of her ears.
‘I swear this job is gonna end me some day," she said while throwing her purse and coat to a chair. That only meant one thing, she had a really intense day, or else she would hang them up perfectly and make you do the same with your stuff.
Kara then threw the ‘cake’ she had ‘cooked’ and by just seeing that Lena smiled, even if she never got to taste one because they all ended up burnt, just the gesture was enough to make her heart melt. After it she went towards Lena who had grabbed a bottle of wine and was about to serve herself when Kara from behind grabbed the bottle and kissed her cheek. Lena looked at her raising her eyebrows,
 ‘Save it for dinner love’ Kara said, kissing her face once more, Lena then laughed and kissed her softly.
You were on the other side of the kitchen watching them. You used to think seeing them kiss was gross, and you still do sometimes, but you have to admit, they are so in love it's awfully cute. While they were in their own world you picked your things and gave them some space.
You took the long awaited shower and once you were in comfortable clothes you went back only to find your moms still acting like lovebirds while setting the table. You knew that all that had happened had affected them both and as a couple it was a hard time as well so it was nice to see them going back to their fluffy selves around each other.
During dinner Lena complained for 15 minutes about everything that had bothered her and Kara talked about this new story she was researching, you thought she had forgotten the conversation you both had until.
‘So Y/N what was it you wanted to talk to me about?’
‘Well, I have been thinking and I don’t think I want to be a hero, at least not for now’ you said, going straight to the point. Kara stopped eating and Lena looked at you encouraging you to continue.
‘I know I gave you a hard time because I wanted to fight and to fulfill my role as the Knight of Krypton, but I don't think I want to do it on a daily basis or at least not publicly’
‘Okay’ Lena simply said. Kara didn’t say anything and was still looking at you.
‘It’s just that when the invasion happened and we all were in danger it’s like if the knight took control of me and I felt this need to fight, but it was as if I didn’t have any control over it really and I don’t want that part of me to take control of the rest of me. I know I have to deal with it and figure a lot out and that it is a part of me I can't deny I just I don't want to be out to the world yet, I’m not ready’
You looked at Kara expecting a response, a tear slipped down her face, she got up and embraced you in her arms.
‘I am so proud of you’
‘Really?’
‘For a long time I kept forcing myself to be Supergirl for the world while I was struggling with it and I didn’t understand much, but you little one, you are aware enough to put yourself first. I’m so proud of you, and we will help you as much as we can to help you digest this new side of yourself’
That same night Lena knocked on your door. She entered and sat on your bed, patting it so you would sit next to her. Without saying anything she placed her head on your shoulder.
‘I know there is not much I can do to help you right now, I’m not kryptonian and I know your mom gets this stuff better than I do cause she went through it as well’
You caressed her hair. ‘That’s not true’
‘It is I can’t really add anything right now, but I want you to know that I’m here and that I wanna listen to you and I want to be here for you. So please don’t shut down. I know you have been having a hard tine for a couple of weeks and I dont want you to hide it. Believe me keeping this kind of things to yourself is not always the right thing’
‘How did you know?’
‘I may not be kryptonian, but I am your mom’
‘I love you’
‘I love you too, now go to bed, you have class tomorrow’ and with that she kissed your hair and got up to leave you to sleep.
‘Can I go out tomorrow by the way?’ Before you could explain the situation your mom raised her eyebrows. ‘I'm still grounded right?’
‘Yes you are, and tomorrow we actually have something planned so don’t take too long to get home’’
‘Yes ma’am’ you said, making her chuckle.
Once in her room Lena laid on her bed, staring at the ceiling and took a deep breath. This past weeks everything had change, she looked at her phone, there were no new messages, or at least not from Lori, who had left again for college.They sadly didn't end on the best terms, the working with Lex situation had messed Lena up more than she thought and she was now terrified Lori would talk to him again. Right when she was about to call again Kara opened the bathroom door connected to their bedroom.
‘Are you sure you’re only overwhelmed because of work?’ she asked Lena, already knowing the answer.
‘ She hasn’t replied to any of my texts, did she text you?’ Lena said, throwing her phone away and sitting up in the bed.
Kara sat behind her and held her.
‘She hasn’t, but you know how she is, she probably needs space to process everything’
‘So you are not worried about it?’
‘Oh no, I’m terrified, I’ve checked her heartbeat at least four times today’
Lena chuckled softly letting Kara’s arms embrace her.
‘Do you remember when she was just a little girl, she wouldn’t leave our side’ Lena said out of the blue
‘Yeah she slept in this bed every night no matter how hard we tried to get her to sleep in hers, in the morning she was always here’ Kara replied. ‘I used to know everything about her’
A text popped up on Lena’s phone screen. She was going to ignore it when Kara grabbed it, letting go of her wife.
‘Lee, it’s her’
Lena turned and took the phone from Kara’s hands.
I know I messed up, I’m sorry I couldn’t explain it at the moment, but it is all solved now. Love you
They both looked at each other, something was off. Lori sometimes needed time on her own to process everything, she would sit aside and clear her mind before opening up about anything, but when she did it was a full developed description of her feelings, something they were both very proud of since once she cleared her mind she was not afraid to speak and stand up for herself. So, it was easy to say that this was not common.
‘I could make a quick flight. See if she is really okay’ Kara suggested.
‘Where are you going?’ Kara asked as Lena started changing out of her pijamas
‘Look I may not know much about Krypton and what Y/N is going through, but I do know Lex. So I’m going to figure out where he is and what he is doing’. She went to grab her phone when Kara’s hand grabbed hers.
‘Kara please I need to so something’
Kara didn’t let go.
‘I know, but don’t let this take control of you. It’s 3 am and as much as we want to burst in there  and take her home it is not gonna work.’
‘Can you hear her heartbeat?’
‘She is sleeping’
Kara then got up and started to take Lena’s clothes off and dressed her up in her pjs again. They laid in their bed, holding each other, unaware of how everything was about to change for them in a few hours, but that would be a fight for another day. In that moment all that mattered to them was each other.

 Embracing the Night's Embrace
Chapter 1: Shadows of Fear
The moonlight bathed the room in a soft, ethereal glow as Lena Luthor watched over her daughter, Emily, who slept soundly. However, Emily's peaceful slumber was soon disrupted by a nightmare that gripped her heart in fear.
In her dream, Emily found herself standing in the middle of a dimly lit room. The air hung heavy with tension as she looked around, searching for familiar faces. But her heart sank as she realized she was alone, surrounded by the eerie silence.
Suddenly, the door creaked open, revealing Lena Luthor in the doorway. Emily's eyes widened in disbelief and confusion. Her mother's usually warm and comforting presence was replaced by a cold, distant expression. The realization hit her like a tidal wave—Lena was leaving her to join her villainous brother, Lex.
Desperation filled Emily's voice as she pleaded, "Mom, please don't go! I need you. You can't abandon me!"
Lena's voice, once filled with love and tenderness, now carried an icy edge. "I'm sorry, Emily. My path lies with Lex. It's for the greater good. You'll understand someday."
Tears streamed down Emily's cheeks as she reached out, but Lena's form slowly faded into the darkness, leaving her alone and heartbroken. The nightmare swallowed her whole, leaving her trembling and gasping for air.
Chapter 2: In the Arms of Solace
Emily awoke with a start, her body drenched in cold sweat. Gasping for breath, she scanned her surroundings, desperately seeking comfort and reassurance. And then she saw her mother, Lena, sitting on the edge of her bed, concern etched across her face.
"Emily, sweetheart, you had a nightmare," Lena murmured softly, her voice laced with love and worry. She tenderly brushed a stray lock of hair from Emily's forehead.
Wide-eyed and shaken, Emily clung to her mother, her heart still racing from the haunting dream. "Mom," she choked out, her voice trembling. "I dreamt that you left me to join Lex. It felt so real, so terrifying."
Lena's arms wrapped around Emily, holding her tightly. "Oh, my darling," she whispered, her voice filled with sorrow. "I would never leave you. I promise, you are the most important person in my life. My love for you is unwavering, unbreakable."
Emily buried her face in Lena's embrace, finding solace in her mother's warm presence. "But the nightmare felt so real, Mom. It scared me to my core."
Lena held Emily even closer, her voice filled with a mix of regret and determination. "I know, my love. But dreams can be deceptive. They reflect our fears, not our reality. I will always be here for you, standing by your side, protecting you from any harm. You are my priority, and nothing will ever change that."
As Lena's words washed over her, Emily felt a profound sense of relief. The nightmare's grip on her heart loosened, replaced by the certainty that her mother's love was steadfast and true. In Lena's arms, she found the strength to let go of the lingering shadows and embrace the light of their unbreakable bond.
Chapter 3: Embracing the Light
Together, Lena and Emily sat in the quiet sanctuary of Emily's room, sharing a moment of healing and understanding. Lena gently wiped away Emily's tears, her touch offering comfort and reassurance.
"I'm sorry, Emily," Lena murmured, her voice filled with regret. "If anything I've done has ever made you doubt my love, please know that it was never my intention. My greatest desire is to be the mother you deserve."
Emily looked into her mother's eyes, seeing the love and sincerity that radiated from within. She squeezed Lena's hand, a small smile gracing her lips. "Mom, I believe you. I know that the nightmare was just a figment of my imagination, born out of my fears. Our love is stronger than any dream, and I trust you with all my heart."
Lena's eyes glistened with unshed tears as she held her daughter's gaze, overwhelmed with love and gratitude. "Thank you, my precious Emily. Your trust means the world to me. I will always cherish and protect our bond."
In that moment, Lena and Emily understood that nightmares may cast their shadows, but their love would forever guide them towards the light. They embraced each other tightly, finding solace in the unyielding strength of their connection. Together, they would face any challenge, secure in the knowledge that their love would conquer all.

-------------------------------------------------------
The game was over and you and your team rushed towards the locker room chanting and cheering. You had won and all the girls were happy. You tried to keep the pace with them as you followed them behind but, in truth, you felt like you were dragging yourself. The coach was right behind you, smiling as you looked back to make sure she was still following you. It was a relief when her eyes met yours, giving you a sense of confidence and security no matter how brief.
You sighed then when you entered the locker room. The rest of the team made their way towards the benches, gathering around as the coach went on about the difficult game you had played. A little pep talk to keep your spirits high and the team united. You remained to the side, not too close and not so far away that it was obvious you were trying to put distance between you and the team.
When the coach finished her speech, she left, allowing you all to change and make plans with your friends to celebrate the victory. However, you did not plan to overdo your stay in that wolf's cave.
You rushed towards your locker, tossing inside the equipment you didn't need, grabbing your bag with quick reflexes before closing the locker door. You hoped the rest of your team wouldn't notice you, but a hand on your shoulder, pulling you suddenly to the side, let you know your little plan had failed.
"You almost made us lose, loser!"
Your back hit the lockers with a loud metallic sound and you winced as your column crashed against the lockers.
"What did you think you were doing?" Your team captain all but yelled at your face. Her nose was an inch apart from yours, which at first made you try to shrink into yourself with no success.
You were trapped between her and your locker as the rest of your teammates turned their heads to observe. A couple of girls had gathered around you. Your captain's little entourage waiting at her sides. Some watched from afar with a frown and a clear distaste in their eyes. Others rolled their eyes, turning from you to give each other pats in the backs, trying to ignore the scene. A few dared to look between her and you. Pity and shame visible in their eyes but also expectantcy about what would happen with you this time. Whatever the case, one thing was clear. None of them were going to help you.
"Hello? I am talking to you." Each word was slow and pointed.
"We won. What else do you want?" You snapped back, knowing it wasn't going to end well for you. But when had been the last time it had gone well for you with her anyways?
And as you thought, your captain grabbed the collar of your jersey, pulling and pushing you with force against the lockers one more time. It made your bones rattle and you were sure it was going to leave an ugly bruise in your back.
"C'mon, leave her alone already." Your co-captain broke through the girls gathered around you and placed a hand on her captain's arm. "The coach is gonna come back soon."
"You're lucky your last name is Luthor." Your captain grunted, all bared teeth, like a wolf ready to reap your throat. "I swear, if it weren't for your mommy's sponsorship you wouldn't even be in my team or my school."
You looked at her straight in the eye, decided not to show any sign of fear or pain. If no one else was willing to stand up against her, you would do it for your own sake.
Your lack of reaction prompted your captain to finally let you go with a scoff, calling you names as she walked to her locker. Your co-captain stood by your side, an annoyed look in her face as the rest of the little group did the same, each one adding their own dull insults towards you.
"I'll send you the practice schedule." She said with an apologetic look. You took that as your farewell. You nodded at her and headed outside the field with your bag hanging from your shoulder.
You let out a sigh of relief once you were on your way, not caring to look back, walking with steady pace towards the school parking lot, where Ryan, the family driver, was waiting for you. He was leaning on one of the car's doors, checking his phone when he raised his eyes just in time to watch you walk towards him.
He smiled politely as you came near and he took a few steps towards you with a hand stretched, aiming for your bag. You gave it to him once you were in front of him and thanked him for her help.
"Amazing game, miss." He pulled the car keys from his pocket and opened the car doors.
"Thank you, Ryan." You rounded the car, as he placed your sports bag in the trunk, and opened the door to the passenger seat.
You didn't like traveling on the backseat. It felt too snobbish for your own liking, despite his various intents on making you take the backseat because he believed your mom wouldn't like it.
"Where to, miss?" He asked once he sat behind the wheel.
"Home." You said with a smile.
"Don't you have a pizza party or something somewhere? I thought teenagers liked to celebrate their team victories."
"Guess I'm not like other teenagers." You shrugged.
"Ah, a rebel, dissident heroine that despises society and their dull rules, making you despise her very own teammates." He recited as if you were a teen protagonist of your own dystopian novel, which made you scoff with a little smile.
"Is more that they don't like me."
"Still?" He raised a brow at you.
"Still." You rolled your eyes and turned to the window.
You saw parents and students, who had come to see the game, heading to their own cars or walking back to the school. Families moving like banks of fishes, talking about the game and trying to decide what to do next. It made you nostalgic for the days your mom didn't seem so busy all the time.
"Forgive me for intruding but, don't you think it is time you talk about this with someone? They could help, if you let them." Ryan said with all due respect towards you and the proper limits his job demanded.
Ryan was a good man. He had worked for your family for longer than many others. Enough years that he was used to the chaotic rhythm of the Luthor lifestyle and not enough yet to make him too tired of scared for his life. He was your driver, yes, but he was much more than that. He had seen you grow up and he cared about you. What you and your mom liked most about him was the fact that he tried to keep an eye on you. It didn't mean he was a snitch, as he knew you sometimes needed privacy and, like the rest of people your age, to keep your own secrets to yourself. He just made sure you were alright, that you arrived at home in once piece, and you were always thankful for that.
"I'm alright. Besides I don't think anyone at school can actually help. Teachers don't care and the school counselor is useless." You didn't turn your head, not wanting to see his inquisitive and worrisome eyes.
"I mean your mother, miss." He suggested and nothing about that thought was comforting.
Your mom was busy enough with more important stuff that you didn't want to bother her with your teenage troubles.
"No, I'll deal with it." You sighed heavily, discovering with irritation that your back was starting to hurt. "Let's go home for now, I'm tired and I need a bath."
"You sure do, miss." You turned in time to see him wrinkle his nose at you in a playful manner.
It made you laugh and, for a moment, all your problems seemed to be forgotten.
When you arrived home, you opened the big front door of the manor and called for your mom. The echo of your words resonating in the hall was the only response you received. It wasn't a surprise as you recalled your mom telling you that same morning she had to go to the company lab. It was probably going to take all day so you didn't worry too much about it.
Instead, you headed upstairs to your room. Your body was starting to feel sore from the game and you wanted nothing more but to take a bath, relax and take a nap. Your mom would arrive later during the evening and you could have dinner together.
You tossed your sports bag into the bed, taking your jersey and your long sleeve off, only leaving your sports bra on. You walked towards the large mirror in the corner of your room, wanting to take a look at the damage that hit on your back had caused.
In the reflection you could see bruises and scars. Some were already healing, with their fading yellowish color, some others were still fresh with their purple tones. Bruises that could easily be passed as occupational hazards. You couldn't count how many times you and your teammates got hit or injured during a regular game.
But as your turned, to take a look at your back, the most bruises and little scars you could find were not where anyone could see them easily. Those were not accidents from practice or any games. No. Those were what your encounters with your classmates, particularly your team, had left on you.
You thought about what Ryan had said.
You loved your mom and trusted her with all your heart. You were lucky to have that kind of relationship her but you just couldn't bring yourself to tell her what was happening at school. Why would Lena Luthor, savior of the Earth, billionaire entrepreneur, and genius philanthropist, care about teen problems? What were your mundane troubles compared to the world's tragedies?
Besides, what could she really do that didn't put you more into the spotlight?
The Luthor name had already given you a reputation at school, making you the target of the contempt and disdain of your classmates. It was a hereditary hatred, that much you understood. Even when your mom had done everything to put your name in the good graces of people, they still remembered the time when your uncle Lex was around.
You knew he had been terrible, but you sometimes wished you could be more like him in some ways. To not care about what others thought about you and to be able to inflict the same suffering towards those who did you wrong without an ounce of regret or shame. But that part of the Luthor gene hadn't stick into your DNA, and you were still deciding if it was a good or bad thing when you heard a loud gasp behind you. You turned your head at the speed of sound, your eyes locking immediately with your mom's.
"(Y/N), what...?" Standing at the open door of your room, your mom looked at you with a bewildered face.
"Hey, mom." You rushed back to your bed, grabbing your jersey. You tried not to wince as you raised your arms to put in on and pulled it down. "I thought you were going to be out all day."
Ignoring you comment, your mom entered your room, walking straight towards you. She took you by the hands, taking a look at the bruises that were still visible in your arms. It made you nervous.
"Sweetheart, what happened?"
"I-I had a game today." You slapped yourself mentally for letting yourself sound unsure. "We won."
"Were you playing against the adult league? How did you get all these bruises?"
You mom kept inspecting you, from your arms and up to your face. When her arm reached your shoulder, you winced a bit. The pain in your back was already reaching there.
"Mom, I'm okay." You took a step back.
"Did they check you in the infirmary?"
"It's just bruises, mom." Suddenly annoyed by her insistence, you turned back to pull your gear out of your bag.
"C'mon, sweetie, those bruises look pretty bad. We may need to see the doctor."
"I told you mom, I'm okay. I get these all the time." You said now exasperated.
"Goodness, I didn't know softball was such a rough sport."
"How could you know?" You tossed your clothes on the bed without turning to look at her. "You don't watch me practice or play at school. I'm always running around the field, falling to the ground, trying not to get hit when they toss the ball at me, or trying not to get punched by somebody else because they like to play dirty against me."
Memories of your seemingly endless fights with your teammates rushed to your mind, leaving a bitter taste in your mouth and, as you finished talking, you realized with fear you hadn't been talking about softball. With your bag now empty, you finally turned to look at your mom. She was clearly taken aback by your sudden outburst, but behind her worried eyes you could see the gears in her mind turning.
"(Y/N)-"
"I'm going to take a shower." You cut her off, walking straight into the bathroom of your bedroom.
You closed the door and leaned with you back against the door, which made you wince again and you cursed under your breath. You closed your eyes tightly, breathing evenly to ease the pain and trying to keep it together. But a knock came a moment later and you could only hum in response.
"(Y/N), sweetheart." Your mom's voice was soothing, as it always was when she needed to talk with you. "I know I haven't been able to spend much time with you lately, but I want you to know I'm very proud of you, and that I'll always be here... Whenever you need me."
There was a lump in your throat you had to swallow before answering. "Thanks, mom."
"What do you say if we celebrate your victory with some take out? Would you like that?"
"Yeah." You took a deep breath. "Yeah, I would like that."
Almost as if nothing had happened, your evening with your mom passed without any other uncomfortable conversation. You were able to shake the day off, basking instead on the company of your mom and the delicious food, chatting about other matters and catching up with your day.
However, it did not go unnoticed to your mom the way you focused on other topics rather than your classes and the softball games. There were no mentions of teammates or friends. Which made Lena reach a  sad conclusion. You were being bullied, and if what she had saw when you were changing in your room was any indication, it was getting physical.
She didn't want to push the matter, at least for the rest of the day. It was clear you weren't going to talk about it and considering your previous reaction, Lena feared it would only make you retreat into yourself. But she was determined to get to the bottom of what had been happening with you at school and, she promised to herself, she was going to help you deal with it. After that, it was only a matter of days before you started to notice some changes around you.
The week before your next game, it seemed like your teammates didn't make their personal mission anymore to trash you. Your captain, who had been your hater number one since you had joined school, was the first one to stop her attacks on you. You knew she still talked behind you back and she kept lashing at you from time to time during practice when a play didn't go her way, but it wasn't as bad as before.
You wondered what had happened to make her back off from her constant bickering but it was nice to not have to watch your back every second. The rest of the girls did the same, they didn't bother you and thankfully didn't use that excuse to give you the silent treatment. Things seemed to be improving and you were, if not completely happy, contented about it.
"Don't screw this for us, Luthor." Your captain said as she walked past you. You guessed it was her way of wishing you good luck.
You were about to go out in the field for one of the last games before the official season started. If you kept your winning streak, you were sure you would win the championship this year.
"Careful with the other team, they like to tackle people when they get too close to the bases." Your co-captain approached you and nudged you with her elbow in an unprecedent act of camaraderie. The gesture almost made you wince.
"Uh, yeah, thanks. I'll keep it in mind." You said as you waited for your call out.
"You nervous, (Y/N)?" She asked, which was even more incredible. She had never tried to start a conversation before with you like this, and had never called you by your actual name.
"Maybe a little. If we lose, I'm sure our captain will show me just how upset she is." You admitted. "Don't tell her I said that."
"Don't worry, I won't." She seemed to think about something for a moment. "Also, I'm sorry."
You raised a brow at her, a bit confused. "About what?"
"About before?" She took a deep breath. "For the way we've been treating you."
"Ah, you mean the insults and punches?" You said with disappointment.
"Yeah." She cleared her throat. "I'm not even gonna try to justify it, but I want you to know things are going to be changing around."
"How so?"
"Well, your complaints worked. Someone spoke to her parents about what she had been doing to you. She got an ultimatum, if she doesn't behave she won't play again." You realized she was talking about your captain.
"My complaints?" You kept looking at her with confusion and she looked at you in the same way.
"Didn't you talk with the student counselor? The director?"
"Not at all."
"Wait, so you were willing to keep up with whatever she did to you?" Your co-captain seemed at a loss of words after that, but she shook her head and sighed. "In any case, she won't bother you again, or at least not like before. And I hope it isn't too late for us, to make amends?"
"I hope so too." You nodded slowly in agreement.
"Okay. Cool." She smiled at you. "Now, let's go play."
When you were finally out in the field, you ran with a new sense of confidence. Although your mind kept wondering  what exactly had happened and when. But you got an idea of it when, as you looked at the field, you caught a glimpse of your mom, shouting from the stands along with her friends. It was a surprise to see them all there and you couldn't wait but smile widely at the sight of them, trying to come up with their own cheers for you. Kara, Alex and Kelly, even brought their own pom-poms, while Brainy, Nia, and J'onn kept shouting words of encouragement.
They didn't stop until the game was over. You had won and when you went to meet them you were received with nothing but praise and compliments. They promised to take you out for dinner if you didn't have any plans already to celebrate and you accepted their offer with a smile. As the group walked away, giving you time to gather your things, you called your mom.
"What is it, sweetheart?" Your mom said.
"Thanks for coming, mom."
"Well, I thought about what you said. I didn't want to lose any more of your games. I know this is important for you." She replied with a smile.
"And thank you...about the other thing." You said shyly, looking at the floor.
There was an unspoken conversation between you two. She knew what you were talking about and even when your mom would have wanted to have a long and serious conversation with you about it, she settled for this in the meantime.
"Hey, let me tell you something." She put a finger on your chin, lifting your head to look at you in the eye. "There is nothing, absolutely nothing, in this world more important to me than you. I'll do everything in my power to keep you safe. You understand?"
"Yeah." You nodded and you knew, with all certainty, that was true.
You would ask your mom later what she had done to help your situation. You imagined she had done her own research, asking around the people at school. Maybe Ryan had finally decided to tell her what was going on with you, or maybe it was the bad Luthor gene in action. Whatever the case, you knew you had your mom by your side and no one else was going to hurt you ever again.

A/N: I've been feeling a bit little today but I haven't actually dropped, so I kind of fell into a younger mindset for the reader. To the anon that requested a storyline similar to a teenager reader, I can write that one too if you'd like? Just wasn't feeling it today, sorry :)

*how i imagine their clothing at the end, but you can imagine anything you'd like*
*not my gif*
Many people at school thought you were weird. The fact that you wore these ‘dorky’ glasses and ‘stupid’ clothes was slowly eating away at you. Nobody knew your moms were Supergirl and Lena Luthor, two of the biggest names in pop culture - Lena had kept her publicity quiet whilst Kara hadn’t revealed her identity to the world.
You spotted Kara as you walked out of school, another horrid day of year two eating away at your young and boisterous personality.
“Hi Mama!” You yelled excitedly, running up to her and tackling her in a hug.
“Hello, my darling inah (daughter).” She kissed your forehead before buckling you into your seat, making your jaw drop as a gasp came out.
“Mommy!”
“Hiya, sweetheart.” Lena grinned from the front passenger seat, making goofy faces at you in her mirror as she touched up her mascara.
“Are you ready to go home, baby?” Kara asked after buckling herself into her seatbelt.
“Mhms! Is cousie Esme at home?” You replied.
“She sure is!”
“And Auntie Alex? Auntie Kelly?!”
“Yep and yep!” Lena answered this time, the two of them surprised at your excitement.
“How was your day at school, honey?”
“It was so fun, Mommy! We had somebody come today and I got to pet a lizard! He had a blue tongue too!” You giggled at the memory, looking out of the window.
“That sounds amazing, Y/N/N.” Lena smiled warmly at you, tickling your leg.
As you all made your way back to Lena’s penthouse loft, you immediately ran up the stairs. You threw your bag down, not caring about the stuff inside, and went back downstairs to see everybody.
You tackled Alex and Kelly in a hug, the two of them almost losing the air in their lungs whilst Esme quickly copied Kara so you wouldn’t hurt her. “Hey, little cousie.”
“Hi hi!” You grinned, seeing an assortment of crayons on the table in front of you. “Can I draw you something?” You whispered in Esme’s ear, to which she nodded.
You immediately sat down and began to draw your masterpiece, making sure the sun was in the top corner and the sky was blue. Everybody was on the page in their correct spots, your Mommy and Mama holding either of your hands whilst everybody else stood beside them.
“Y/N, dinner is ready!” Kara called out to you from the kitchen, your head popping up to see everybody making their way over.
You scrambled to get onto your chair at the table, waiting patiently for everyone to sit before you pulled out your drawing. “Look! Do you all like it?”
Gasps and applause came from them all, with the drawing being passed around as dinner was served. You giggled at Kara’s heat vision on the chicken, wanting to use yours but you weren’t quite in control yet.
When Kara got the drawing, she smiled at herself in her Supergirl outfit before putting it on the fridge along with some of your other creations. You enjoyed the dinner consisting of the carbonara pasta for you, whilst others ate from the other dishes on the table until Alex decided on watching a movie.
You snuggled up between Kara and Lena, to which Nia guided a blanket on top of your trio which made you beam at her. “Thanks, Auntie Nia!”
“You’re very welcome, Y/N/N.” She beamed back, kissing your forehead gently before she cuddled up to Brainy.
As the movie played on, you grew bored as you didn’t understand some of the older references, so you decided to draw again. As your mind wandered to what school would be like tomorrow, your drawing began to reflect that. The crayons you used were usually bright, but now they were full of shadows and darkness.
Eventually you grew tired and climbed back up to Lena, having no space to sit between Kara and the noirette, which left you with your toes hiding underneath Nia’s blanket. As you fell asleep, her mind fell into your dream and she watched the bullies teasing you for your glasses and clothes.
When she woke up, however, she didn’t want to disturb Kara and Lena’s special time together, so she kept it to herself and gently manipulated your dream into something more fun and exciting.
———————————————————————
Kara was not expecting a call from your school as she sat in Lena’s office on her lunch break. She looked up at Lena and the two made their way to your school, seeing you sniffling and shaking in your seat.
“Honey baby, what happened?” Kara knelt in front of you, gently wiping away your tears.
You shook your head and your tears poured, making Kara very distressed as she picked you up easily, bouncing you and herself instead of flying like she used to when you were little. She turned to Lena, who had spoken with the receptionist, and gently put you back down in your chair.
“Y/N/N, lovey, we will be right back, okay?” She kissed your forehead, noticing your glasses were crooked before righting them.
She stepped into the principal’s office with Lena, her in a blue argyle style whilst Lena was in her dark maroon suit. They sat down in a set of chairs next to what they could only assume was the other child’s mother and father, the plaque at the end of the desk reading Principal Johnson.
“What happened?” Lena asked, a tinge of annoyance in her tone.
“Ms Luthor, Ms Danvers, this is Mr and Mrs. Kepler. There’s no easy way to say this, but… Y/N hit their son Will and broke his nose.” Mr. Johnson sighed.
Kara’s eyes widened behind her glasses. “What?!”
Lena’s hand fell onto Kara’s in assurance. “Can someone tell us what happened? Possibly what caused the fight?”
“Unfortunately, the teacher on duty wasn’t watching over their spout and only saw the end result.” He shrugged.
Lena immediately stood and opened the door, picking you up from your chair and bringing you inside. You’d never been inside this room before, this was the principal’s office. This was where the bad kids were sent - you weren’t a bad kid, were you?
“Y/N, honey, can you tell us what happened? The silly teacher wasn’t watching and Mama and I want to know.” Lena asked you gently, noticing how the unfamiliar surroundings and new people were scaring you.
“W-Well, I was playing in the sand pit a-and Will came to play. I di-didn’t want to play with him so I said no.”
You looked over at the scowling parents before Kara adjusted her seat so you didn’t see them, only your Mama and Mommy. “Keep going, darling. Take your time.” She cooed, brushing some tear-soaked hairs out of your face.
“N-n he didn’t like that. Mama, he took my glasses!” You took them off and showed her them -  the middle part that rested on your nose was broken.
“Did he break your glasses, honey?” She asked carefully.
“Mhm! He stomped on them.” You sniffled. “I like my glasses. B-But he says he doesn’t like them, ever. And he doesn’t like my clothes either. He says I look ugly in them.”
You watched your Mama and Mommy’s faces fall with sadness, worry building in yours. “No! Didn’t mean to make you sad!”
“Honey, did you punch Will because he called you ugly and broke your glasses?” Kara asked, not even listening to your heartbeat.
You shook your head frantically. “No, Mama! I just pushed him out of the sand pit! He tripped on the side and fell on his face, promise!”
She nodded, carefully taking you into her arms before she readjusted her seat and looked at the other parents who held Will. “Well then I think this whole situation has been sorted. Just a simple misunderstanding.” Mr. Johnson smiled sheepishly.
“I don’t think so.” Lena stood, folding her arms.
You knew this wasn’t soft Mommy - this was Mommy the Boss, and Kara took you outside of the room.
“Will has been bullying Y/N for her glasses and her clothes. He needs to learn that bullying isn’t okay.” Lena stated.
“He’s in year two, Ms. Luthor. It’s nothing more than teasing - he might even like Y/N.” Mr. Kepler replied.
“I expect my child’s glasses to be paid for, Mr. Kepler. And summing up this bullying to something so weird as Will fancying her is wrong. It shouldn’t be okay for this to happen. If this continues, Mr. Johnson, I will pull Y/N out of this school.”
With that, Lena closed the principal’s door behind her, seeing you and Kara in the reception. She immediately smiled at you and hugged you when you made some grabby hands, your head burying into her neck.
“Mommy, can we go flying later?” You asked softly.
“Of course we can, baby. Let’s go home first so we can get our special clothes on.” She answered, which was your code word for the super suits.
You were quiet on the walk to the car, which surprised the two women before they realised you were asleep. “Maybe we can go flying tomorrow.” Kara teased, gently kissing your forehead as she buckled you into your car seat.
You opened your eyes to see everybody waiting for you at home, including Uncle Mon-El and Auntie Imra with Uncle Winn. You ran up to Imra who easily lifted and hugged you, giving you sporadic kisses on your face.
“How about we go and have some fun inside? Maybe we can test out your flying!” She giggled with you.
Whilst everyone else went inside, Nia stopped Kara and Lena. “I’m sorry I didn’t tell you about the bullying.”
They looked at each other before turning to her. “I dreamt about it last night when she was touching me. It was actually terrifying to watch her little mind dream that, let alone comprehend it. I know I’m not a mom, but I wouldn’t make her go back yet.”
“Can you show us the dream?” Kara pleaded, to which Nia took their hands and showed them.
It brought them to tears instantly.
“Oh, baby…” Lena whimpered, running inside to find you in your room.
“Mommy? Mama? What happened?” You asked quietly, watching them kneel in front of you before sweeping you off your feet into their arms.
“We are so sorry we didn’t see this earlier, inah.” Kara cooed, holding you tight but not too tight.
You felt those big emotions surface before tears began to run down your face, squirming further into Kara’s hold whilst Lena hugged your other side. “W-Want ev’ybody.” You muffled against Kara’s shirt.
“Yeah? Everybody?” She asked, to which you nodded.
“Hope?” Lena looked up at the ceiling.
“The members downstairs have been notified of Y/N’s request.” The AI replied.
Soon enough, they all piled in and looked down at your crying form. Nia was the first to start the group hug, with everyone piling on until you felt truly loved.
As they pulled apart, they all gave you an individual hug and some even said some encouraging words. But at the end of it, you turned to your Mama and Mommy and tackled them in a hug, making giggles spread through the room whilst you held them tightly.
“My Mamas.”

HEY!
Sorry if i'm not really active now, it's just that I was testing some change in my life. Talking about change, I correct some previous fics (i'll reblog them later); I'm working on a Florence Pugh fic, to be honest I don't know if it's a good idea but sometime you need to go out from your confort zone (and this idea was bothering me with my other works so)
I should be really back maybe the next week, i can tell you two things: first I have a mama!Wanda fic in my drabbles and second I re-watch the third season of supergirl to write the second part of 'Don't follow my lead.
Until then, don't forget to eat well, to drink enough water and rest well if you can.

***10 years later***
Retirement had never felt so good. After almost 15 years of traveling and making music, it was finally time to unplug the guitar from the amp. You made many memories as you traveled across the world. It was truly an experience you were never going to forget, but it was time to settle down. Your bandmates felt the same. All of you had partners and families. You, yourself, had a daughter and a wife, and you missed them every time you went on tour. It wasn’t enough for you to see them during Facetime. The phone calls weren’t enough anymore. You were missing out on crucial milestones with your daughter. You missed her first words and her first steps. You didn’t want to miss anything anymore. So, after one last farewell tour, where you said goodbye to your fans, you spent the rest of your time with your daughter, Ruby, and your wife, Sam.
You loved your family. Ruby had such a personality for a little kid. She was curious. Good lord, was she curious. She got into everything, climbed on anything. She asked loads of questions about anything she laid her big brown eyes on, and you loved it. You let her explore. You let her question whatever she wanted and answered everything as best as you could. You let her be autonomous, and as she got bigger, you discovered just how intelligent she was. The things she used to build with her legos were astonishing. At Sam’s suggestion, you both taught her how to read and write, and within a month, she was already writing her name. Honestly, her intellect scared you a little.
“What the hell did you eat while you were pregnant?” you often asked your wife, and every time she would laugh and kiss your cheek.
“Must have been the spinach and mini wheats.”
By the time Ruby reached kindergarten, her teacher was astonished by her wit and intelligence. She was miles ahead of the other kids except for one other person. Her friend, Alexa. Ruby had so much to say about her new friend. It was always “Alexa taught me a new way to tie my shoes” or “Alexa taught me how to say hello in French.”
“You’re making Alexa sound like a superstar,” you said to her once. You watched as her eyes lit up with excitement and admiration.
“She’s the best, Mommy! I think you would like her if you met her.”
You smiled and kissed her cheek. “I’ll tell you what. If you want to make a play date with her, I’m game.”
“Really?!” she practically screamed, and you winced a bit as her voice pierced your ear drums.
“Of course, baby girl. Let’s make it happen.”
And she did make it happen. That was how you ended up in the park right now. You and Ruby arrived at the park before Alexa and her parents did, so you told her to go play until her friend got here. You sat on the park bench with an acoustic guitar in your lap and you strummed a few cords as the wind blew through the vibrantly green leaves. You watched your daughter play with some other kids, smiling at the way she was having fun. She was the light of your life, and you were so happy to be a part of hers. After a few moments, you heard her giggle, and you looked up to her running towards a little girl in the parking lot. She just made it out of her car before Ruby wrapped her little arms around her body and scooped her up into a bear hug. The little girl screamed as she hugged her back and you smiled fondly at the interaction. Ruby put her down and pulled her towards you.
“You gotta meet my Mommy!”
You chuckled when you saw two little girls run to stand in front of you. Next to Ruby stood Alexa, and when you looked into her eyes, you were overcome with the strongest wave of recognition. They were an effervescent shade of emerald green, and she gave you a sweet but shy smile.
“Hi, my name is Alexa,” she said politely.
“Hello, Alexa. My name is Y/n, and I am so happy to meet you. This one over here,” you said as you winked at your daughter. “Had so many wonderful things to say about you.”
She blushed a little as she played with her hands shyly.
“The day is all about you two. Go have fun.”
Ruby started to pull her away and Alexa let her, but before she could get out of earshot, she looked at you. “My mom plays your music all the time. I really like your voice.”
You furrowed your eyebrows in confusion but thanked her, nonetheless. What a small world that her mom happened to know of you. You went back to strumming lazily. You played one of your old songs, the strings producing hushed melodious music that carried in the slight wind. As you watched the girls and played, you heard footsteps approaching you from behind.
“I haven’t heard that song in a really long time.”
You paused as your eyes widened. Were your ears playing tricks on you? Because you knew that voice. You turned around to meet the same green eyes her daughter had.
“Lena?”
“Hey stranger,” she said with a flawless smile.
You put down the guitar and stood up. “Oh my god. Oh my god! I haven’t seen you in forever!”
Lena approached you excitedly and gave you a polite hug. “How have you been?”
“Good,” you said. “How have you been?”
“Busy,” she answered truthfully.
“I can only imagine. You’re running an entire company. Congrats for that by the way!”
“Thank you! But it’s not just one,” she said as she held up two fingers and wiggled them.
“Two?!” you exclaimed incredulously. “What’s the other one?”
“CatCo. I recently bought it and I’m having someone else run L-Corp for me.”
“This person. Is her name Sam?”
Lena’s eyebrows flew up. “Oh! You know her?”
"She's my wife!” you said with a laugh.
Lena laughed as well, but you watched her gaze shift to your left hand. She stared at your ring long enough for you to notice and you chuckled awkwardly.
“What are the odds that your daughter would know mine?” Lena asked as she sat down next to you on the picnic table.
You could only shrug. “Small world or crazy odds. We should go play a lottery.”
Lena smirked as she looked at you. You looked good. The years were kind to you. You no longer had the baby face she loved once upon a time ago. Your features were more angular and mature. Even when wearing a leather coat, a band tee, and jeans, she could tell that you still took care of yourself.
You looked at Lena and smiled. The years were kind to her as well. She radiated a confidence she didn’t have when you knew her. She stood up straighter, carried herself better. Lena looked good.
“What’s happened in your world?” you asked her.
She shrugged nonchalantly. “Running businesses. Taking care of my partner. Keeping that one busy,” she said with a chuckle as she motioned to her daughter.
“Are you still with Kara?”
When you mentioned her name, Lena’s smile faltered a little, but she nodded. You looked down to see the modest ring on her left hand and you smiled. The air was silent as you watched your daughter play with hers.
“Y/n, I wanted to say I’m sorry,” Lena blurted suddenly.
You stared at her, her apology catching you off guard as you regarded her with wide, confused eyes.
“We just got here,” you replied with a hesitant chuckle. “What are you sorry for?”
“I’m sorry for what I did back then. To you, I mean.”
“Oh…”
She nodded as she went quiet for a few heartbeats. Then, she took a deep breath.
“I hurt you. Deeply. And I’m sorry.”
You listened to her, your eyes meeting hers.
“I accept your apology, Lena,” you told her. “We were both young with no real clue about what we wanted. I didn’t know it at the time, but I really was focused on the band. I wanted to travel the world, and see new things, and see new sites. I don’t blame you for leaving,” you said honestly with a shrug. “You had needs and they weren’t being met.”
Lena nodded. “I could have done it better. I shouldn’t have broken up with you over the phone while you were on tour.”
“Yeah, that kind of sucked,” you said as you laughed, and Lena offered a sad smile. “But I don’t hold that against you. As often as I was on tour, it wasn’t like you had many opportunities to break up with me properly.”
Lena snorted and looked away, her smile wide as she played with her hands nervously. You looked at her and gently bumped your shoulder against hers playfully.
“Water under the bridge?”
She nodded. “I would really like it if we could be friends.”
Right as she said it, you heard loud screaming and giggling as the girls played on the slide.
“I think I’d like that. It seems that we won’t be able to separate our kids from each other. I wouldn’t want anything between us to affect them, regardless.”
Lena nodded and was quiet again. “Can I ask you something?”
“Of course,” you answered.
“If it’s personal, you don't have to answer.”
“It’s okay, Lena,” you reassured her.
She swallowed thickly as she looked at the grass. “What did you do with the wedding ring?”
You instantly knew what she was talking about. “I still have it,” you answered truthfully. “Sam knows about the things that happened between us and I told her that I couldn’t part with it.”
“Why not?”
You shrugged. “I struggled after you left, Lee,” you admitted quietly.
Lena smiled softly at the nickname you used for her back when you were together. She put a comforting hand on your shoulder.
“I struggled a lot. I struggled with strong negative feelings, both towards you and myself. My band mates convinced me to do virtual therapy and it was then that things did start to get better. At first, that ring was a source of resentment, but as time went on and my perspective about everything that we went through changed, it became a source of nostalgia.”
You contemplated whether saying your next words out loud was a good idea. You didn’t know if it was, and almost decided against it.
But one thing that you wished you had was closure. True closure. There was the very last night you talked to her, but you had practically thrown her out in the rain. What you thought was closure had been your attempt at retaliation. After that, in your stubbornness, you wanted nothing more to do with her. You didn’t even want to hear her name again. You did a lot of unhealthy things to cope, things you weren’t proud of. That was what led you to therapy. It took time, but once your feelings changed, you wanted to call Lena and apologize. You didn’t get that chance then.
But you had it now.
“I loved you, Lena,” you said as you looked at her. “I did. I just didn’t love you right and I’m sorry.”
Lena nodded. She patted your shoulder before she removed her hand. You both watched your kids silently for the next few moments before she said her next sentence.
“Water under the bridge.”

Waited for her.

After the death of winter, when the earth became alive and the rain poured during the night, the sound of crashing waves against the rocks began to drown the voices from the patio, as the slight breeze of the ocean surrounded the beach.
You buried your feet in the sand while the ocean breeze wrinkled your dress. The salty air invaded your tongue as your bloodshot eyes stared blankly at the ocean. From a distance, the debate in your mind was evident as you fought reality in silence, you didn’t want to believe it.
The passing thought of a life-changing event that could come at any time was more than enough to make you crash.
The flowers were supposed to bloom, the nights were supposed to be longer and the slight anticipation of the coming summer. But in the cold afternoon, during late March, everything shifted and changed.
Flower bouquets decorated the living room, as the soft music filled the house. Your hand kept playing with the red sun ring that sat in your right hand, as you stood beside the staircase with an unconscious gaze fixed on nothing.
People came and went with hugs and small nods of sympathy. Your family, the superfriends, Earth 1 superheroes and their families, DEO agents and more. But you waited in silence, waited to wake up, waited for the cheerful barking from the family dog, Krypto, as she landed in the backyard, to see her through the house with a smile. Waited for the scolding for not having socks on due to the cold floor, waited for the scolds of using super powers for chores, waited to be called for family dinner, waited for the long talks about the most uncommon things after work, waited for the last piece fight, waited for the loud laughs because of her favorite movies, waited for the night flights, and the roof talks.
Waiting for your family to tell you it was all a lie, waiting for the hugs, waiting for the ‘good nights’ and ‘I love yous', you waited for her but she never returned.
“I’m sorry for your loss.”
The familiar voice of the neighbor’s kid brought you back to reality. Broody always had a cheerful smile and shiny brown eyes, full of life and energy. And now he stood with a small tucked-in shirt and bloodshot eyes, looking at you with pain and sadness.
With a cough and a small, shy nod, you nervously grasped the end of your sleeves and entered the house. You tried to look everywhere but him, as she placed her keys beside the family picture.
Smiles and laughter were caught in the picture, the beach background radiated summer and the sunkissed tans on all of you confirmed the vacation photo. It looked perfect, even though your hair was sopping wet and out of place, happiness radiated from you. You stood beside your family hugging you, Lena and Kara looking at you as if you were their center of the universe, enjoying one another, totally clueless about what the next year was going to be like.
And that's how you found yourself looking down at the tablet, her old suit up in a display beside her first photo appearance as supergirl, you knew the truth, that was not her.
She would roam around with polos, and colorful shirts, blonde disarrange hair. Red cheeks and a small mark by her eyebrow. Ocean orbs that are always smiling. That’s how she was supposed to be, full of energy and jokes even in the darkest days but not anymore.
There you wondered of a life without her, a life without her laughs, her jokes, her smile. A life where she wasn't there, where the memories of her were all you had, where she didn’t get to walk you down the aisle, a life where she didn’t stand beside you at graduation, and your first day of college. A life where one last time she decides to save the world instead of being with you.
——
The summer after high school graduation was the time when teens made memories and held them close to their hearts for the rest of their lives. The happiness and warmth as they prepared for the biggest change in their lives, college.
You were supposed to work for the first few weeks of summer, before going on your senior trip with your best friend  before coming back home and organizing your things for college before going on the family trip to New York. But plans changed and you isolated yourself.
For you change has never come easy, from changing your favorite clothes as you grew out of them to the disappearance of your jeju. The last few weeks of Senior year had passed in a blink of an eye, one moment you stood beside your grieving family during Spring break, and the next you stood beside them with a cap and gown at graduation without your mom.
You didn't eat, didn't sleep, you didn't shower, you were just there. All around surrounded by painful memories that haunted you. The darkness of your room felt reassuring when everything started to turn until it wasn't the same she knew.
Everything was different, it felt different, it sounded different, it tasted different. There was a silence between the family, an unbreakable pressure each one of them had. And when her common phrase stood on the wall by the family portrait in her unique handwriting.
‘Things need time because time heals’
You couldn’t help but hate her even more. Because how could time heal this?
How could you see life after losing your jeju? how could you understand the meaning of it, how could you see yourself walking down the aisle, how could you not wish for her to be there on your graduation, how could you be able to go to sleep without dreaming of her, how could you keep missing her, how could you keep using your powers without her. How could you keep going when she wasn't there with you?
After long nights of missing her, you found refuge in the smallest things. Coffee and books became your support after your love for science, journalism and superheroes faded away.
Every once in a while, you spend time in the park sitting on a bench, reading a new book with a small cup of coffee.
It was nice. But nice things can only last for so long. You think bitterly.
You tried to distract yourself from the voices in your head, you worked, but even that only lasts so long until you get back home.
The circles under your eyes grow darker, your favorite foods taste rubbery, and drinks become bitter, your pants become a loser, the red son ring stays on, and the kryptonite pills get taken more and your once full life becomes lifeless.
Memories haunt you, as everything becomes a hateful reminder. The food, the couch, the piano, the car, the house, the beach, the dog, the DEO, the tower, the superfriends. The revelation comes out so honest, you just don't try anymore.
The night was quiet, and you could feel each other's exhaustion. Your brunette-haired mom places the foiled dish on the table, The lasagna was warm, the salty smell of cheese and marinara invading the dining room.
You pluck out the fork on the table, before peeling back the foil trying to get a piece. You sit back and stay silent. You can taste the pasta, cheese, tomato, and meat but with every bite, the taste slowly starts to fade away, until it's all mushy and bitter. You hate it.
The empty seat in front of you is a reminder that she wasn't there anymore. It has been like that for a while, you think mournfully, eyes glued to the chair.
“How was work, darling?” Your mom asks you curiously.
Lena had always been a person of tranquility even during the disappearance of Kara, she tried to show no weakness in front of you since after all, you had no one but her, she had to keep it all together, how else was she supposed to be there for you. She was the CEO of one of the biggest science fundations, she had it handled, or so she thought.
“Good,” You murmured, eyes not leaving the plate while you picked at your food.
“That’s good, honey”
As usual, Krypto lay down beside your chair, waiting for you to pet him. While Lena hears the muffled sound of the golden retriever moving to her daughter’s side; she doesn't argue about his presence in the room, unlike before.
Like when you would sneak him food or try to pet him, even at the worst times possible. Or when you would roam around with him in your arms, and gather up an increasing amount of golden hair on your pants. When you would stay with him, instead of going out. When every single inconvenience was let known to the dog and not her friends. When he wasn't another reminder of her.
With that silence took over the dinner. As for you, you stood up to go to the kitchen, with no sign of acknowledgment to Krypto. Lena watched you leave, with bloodshot eyes sighing in defeat.
You werent dumb, you saw it, more like you saw him but it hurt more and more with time. Even on the darkest nights when you needed him the most, you could only see him across the backyard with your jeju playing catch, she could only see him in her hands with a small bowtie and a wide smile on her face. You could only see Kara through Krypto, and you hated her for that. For making you hate your best friend.
You write, write, and write.
You wonder if you'll ever stop. Your therapist said it would help, you don't believe it at first but when the sun circles the earth and the day of your disappearance is back. You're tired but try it, in hopes of something, anything.
In hopes of finding what the itchy feeling on your heart is, in hopes to understand it. Understand how you can find every cloud on a sunny day and hit every traffic light on the road while still deep down wishing she was there. And somehow embrace it, embrace all of the broken pieces of you that stand on the floor.
It has been a year now. You think.
It's almost absurd how you are there standing, breathing, blinking but not living. It didn't feel like living but existing. The same draining routine every day, made you wonder what anything else would feel like.
The pain in your stomach keeps hitting, the weight on your shoulders keeps fatiguing and you can’t fix it, you can’t manage it, you can’t understand why it’s simply not going away.
The bird's tweet, the wind tickling the leaves, and the laughter of the superfriends echoed in the house. Her coffee cup was on the stairs beside you, as you gazed towards the ocean horizon before looking down at the black phone.
Your fingers trembled as you grabbed it, dialing the number you hadn't called in a year. You weren't expecting your call to be answered, but deep down you hoped it would.
Just like you felt the first few months when your eyes trembled to close in tiredness. Because you couldn't handle the thought of going to sleep, because of that miserable second in the morning when you forgot she was gone, and your body wasn't on autopilot anymore.
But when she was met with the pitch of her voice as the voicemail message. Her breath shuttered as her eyes clouded with tears. Your breath hitched at her voice.
“This is Kara Danvers, I’m sorry I couldn't attend your call, please don't leave a message after the tone, just text me like that I might answer faster. And in case I don't see ya! Good morning, good afternoon, good evening, and good night!”
You sniffed and wiped the streams with the back of your hand. “Hey, jeju…”
“I’m sorry, I'm so sorry” You sobbed.
“I'm sorry it has taken me so long to come back to you, I'm sorry for hating you, I'm sorry for not saying goodbye, I'm sorry for everything. But I can't forgive you, I can't.”
“I can't forgive that you left, and now there is a hole in my heart, where you used to be. I just-”
“I love you, and I miss you, I miss you so much.”
You hung up her phone and wiped your tears away. your nose and eyes matched the color of the red of your cheeks, and with a slight tremble in your walk, you twisted the door handle to the house.
Your mom stood from the kitchen aisle and opened her arms. You ran from the door to her mother.
Lena held you tightly almost afraid to let go, swaying back and forth with a hand stroking your hair.
“It’s going to be okay, I promise.” She whispered attentively.
Lena’s emerald green eyes stared right back into the same blue orbs her super had. Kissing your forehead before pulling you into her arms again.
After that night, days appeared longer, the wind blew less, and the ocean was calmer. The house started to feel like home again, the lights became brighter, the paint became happier and the walls became peaceful. Krypto roams around more frequently, Lena works less and you are able to feel more.
Sunrises and Sunsets felt relieving on the beachfront, signaling the end and the start of something. Coffee and tea accompanied her in the early morning and late afternoons when you looked for her at the end of the horizon. Because even when every candle, every prayer, every photo, and memory made you hate her, it didn't make up for the fact that the only thing you had left was a hole in your heart where she used to be.
Two years have gone by since the cold and cloudy day in March when your life changed. When her comparison of a Piano and life finally made sense, it was too late, the suffering had already passed and the good in life was slowly fading back into her life.
It was getting easier, the routine helped, and the writing helped, but it was still exhausting for you. To do it every day.
Because even when your mom’s soft embrace became warmer when sweet words healed your cracked heart, and when others left sympathy, it was only you who could heal yourself, because only you knew where it hurt. The pain was deeper from your heart to your mind leaving scars with heavy pain and darkness that eventually would become a reminder and not a feeling anymore.
“Krypto. Stop!” You yelled when the dog ran through the back door to the beach.
The sunset was down on the blue ocean, and as the breeze of spring moved the sand, you ran down the patio, trying to catch up with the golden retriever.
Krypto jumped up and down as you stood looking at the now orange and yellowish ocean, as the sunset happened. Taking a deep breath you murmured sitting down petting Krypto. Putting the familiar black cup beside them.
“I miss you.”
Trying to not let the emotion take control, you grasped the end of her sleeves glancing at the ocean as the dog didn't hesitate to lay down on your lap.
With your hand through his hair, you knew as the wave crashed against the rocks and the ocean breeze harshly passed through them. That even when she couldn't be there to witness, she knew about the isolation, the hidden pain, the sadness, and the silence. It all ended by reflecting on one thing, You trying to understand your feelings, your world, your family, and yourself.
The familiar presence of Lena was known when she carefully dropped a blanket on your shoulders and sat beside you. Your lip trembled, as you tugged the blanket around yourself, Lena carefully laid a kiss on your forehead before your bloodshot eyes sobbed in grief.
In silence you turned back to your brunette mother, glancing at the green piercing eyes that always brought comfort in hopes of something.
With sympathy and sadness as she saw her daughter in pain, Lena wished to cease your pain, but she could only give the sweet and comforting words that could help you go through it, after all, she was missing part of her heart too.
As the day ended, the only thing that could be heard was the crashing of the waves in the ocean and the small echo of a young girl sobbing because of the loss of her mother.
—-
The night is long and Lena sits in the kitchen. A wine bottle opened up and the glass was full, her computer running through investors numbers and most of the work papers for the foundation. The engineering tab opens where Kara's suit remains unchanged. The brunette sighs as she hears knocking at the front door. She pulls Kara’s sweater down almost covering her shorts and adjusts her glasses before getting up
It couldn't be you, you had gone upstairs to watch a movie trying to lose track of time before going to bed. She thinks.
She walks up with furrowed eyebrows and opens the door hesitantly and it's met with a sight she had wished for so long.
Kara stands there in all her glory, her suit renovated with now gold straps and a small logo in her sleeves almost as if nothing had happened. Almost out of breath, she talks.
“Lena… I can explain”

RESQUEST OPEN okay
so about supercorp I was thinking that Lena is a single mother who has reader as her daughter
Lena meets kara and they have been dating for a while, so Lena thinks it's time to introduce her girlfriend to her daughter.
R is not happy and doesnt accept it very well, the reason may be because her mother's other partners were never very kind to R. So she ignores Kara.
Then it may happen that R overhears a conversation between her mother and kara where Kara says that she feels bad bc R does not accept her and that maybe they should take time or I don't know, things like that
So i hope u can do this, if not it's okay💕 I love your writing btw ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥
Different
pairing: mom!Lena Luthor x daughter!reader, Kara Danvers x Lena Luthor
word count: 1k
warnings: none, lmk if i need to add any!
A/N: my first supercorp fic so true anyway i hope you enjoy anon! :D
You had always been protective of your mother. After all, for most of your life it was just the two of you. You loved your mother, and you loved being her daughter.
You were happy with her.
So when she told you she was dating again, you definitely had some concerns.
You definitely didn't trust easily. You remembered the day your mother told you she had started dating a man named James.
"Y/N," she said prompting you to finally leave your room. You peered around the door, seeing your mother standing next to a man you didn't recognize.
"Hi," you said, walking out.
He held his hand out for you to shake it, which you did hesitantly.
"Don't hurt my mom," you warned him.
"Okay, kid," he said dismissively.
Your mother narrowed her eyes at you as her cheeks flushed red, but you simply shrugged in response. If he couldn't handle you and your protective nature, then he shouldn't be dating Lena Luthor.
Unfortunately, he didn't take your warning very seriously.
You remembered how heartbroken your mother was when they broke up. You told her that she deserved better than someone like him.
It eventually became a pattern for her. She would find someone she liked, they would hurt her, she would be heartbroken for a few months, then someone else would break her heart.
Quite honestly, you were sick of it. You didn't understand why your mother needed to be with someone.
Eventually, you thought she might have sworn off dating, which you were rather grateful for. If it was just the two of you, that was perfectly fine with you.
Unfortunately, it only lasted about a year.
She was almost nervous to tell you, but eventually she did.
"Y/N... I've started dating again,"
"What? Why?"
"There's something different about her,"
"Her?"
"Yes, I'm dating a woman."
"It doesn't matter if you like girls, that's fine, but... just because she's not a man doesn't mean she can't hurt you,"
"I think she deserves a chance, so I'm giving her one. I'd appreciate it if you'd give her a chance too,"
So now, it was time to meet your mother's girlfriend.
"Y/N, this is Kara. Kara, this is my daughter, Y/N,"
You saw her bright smile, and tried to force one in return.
"I'm so glad I finally got to meet you," she said, still smiling. "Your mom says you're a really big movie fan, and I am too! My absolute favorite is Wizard of Oz, but I'd love to have any movie marathon with you!"
You opened your mouth to reply, but nothing came out. You shifted your gaze between Kara and your mother.
Kara then put her arm around your mom, still smiling at you.
"I need to go," you said suddenly, walking away from them without another word.
-
A week later, you were getting ready to have a movie night with your mother. You were in the living room with the remote in your hand, already looking through movies.
When you heard the doorbell ring, you got up to answer it.
Standing there, much to your dismay, was Kara Danvers.
She had her usual bright smile on her face, then tilted her head to the side as she opened her arms. She made it clear she wanted to hug you, but only if you were okay with it.
You weren't, so you just gave an awkward, forced smile and backed away.
She said nothing, but made her way over to your mother who easily welcomed her into her arms.
"Kara's gonna be joining us for movie night," your mom said.
Your heart dropped as you saw Kara set her bags down.
"I'm gonna go up to my room," you said quietly. And without another word, you did just that.
-
Over the next few weeks, a new pattern began. Kara would come over, and suddenly your mood would drop and you would try to get as far away from her as possible.
She was currently over for dinner, and you had just started making your way up to your room.
Before you closed the door, you heard your mother say your name, so you decided to listen in.
"I can tell she doesn't like me, Lena,"
"Just give her time, I'm sure she'll come around soon,"
"I don't think so... she just really doesn't like me,"
"I'm sure that's not true!"
"Why does she always leave the second I arrive? Why does she scowl when I show any sort of affection for you?"
"I..." your mother wasn't sure what to say.
"Look, your daughter's happiness should be your main focus. I think it's best for her that we break up, or at least take some time apart."
"I suppose you're right,"
You could hear the hurt in her voice as your heart dropped. Your mother did seem really happy with Kara. Your guilt doubled when you heard a sniffle.
Before you knew it, you were running back towards the living room.
"Wait! Don't go!" You yelled, holding your arms out.
They were both staring at you with questioning looks, causing your heart to pound.
"You guys shouldn't have to break up because of me,"
"You heard?" Your mother asked.
"Yeah... and I'm sorry," you said, taking a deep breath in. "Mom, I just want you to be happy. I haven't been much of a fan of this because of your past partners, but it's not fair to judge Kara because of them. I can tell she makes you happy, and she's a good person,"
You then shifted your gaze to your mother's girlfriend.
"Kara, I'm sorry. I took things too far with my protectiveness of my mom, and now you're both hurt. But please don't break up with her because of that!"
They both looked at each other, then you.
"Are you sure, Y/N/N?" Your mom asked you.
"Yeah," you said, giving a real, genuine smile. "I'm sure."
Without another word, you went back to the living room to search through the movie DVDs. Luckily, it didn't take too long to find Wizard of Oz.
Grinning at them, especially Kara, you held it up high.
"Movie night?"

Comfort in Her Arms
Once upon a time, in the bustling city of National City, Lena Luthor, the brilliant and enigmatic CEO of L-Corp, had a special bond with her daughter, [Reader's Name]. Although Lena was usually caught up in her work, she always made sure to prioritize her daughter's well-being. They shared an unbreakable connection, and when [Reader's Name] found herself in a difficult situation, Lena was there to offer solace and support.
On a seemingly ordinary day, [Reader's Name] found herself overwhelmed by the pressures of school. The weight of expectations, social anxieties, and mounting stress had reached its peak, triggering a suffocating panic attack. Gasping for breath, [Reader's Name] stumbled into the school's bathroom, desperately needing a sanctuary.
Tears streamed down [Reader's Name]'s face as she fumbled for her phone. Amidst the panic, she instinctively dialed her mother's number, knowing that Lena would always be her rock in moments like these. The phone rang, each second feeling like an eternity until Lena's soothing voice echoed through the speaker.
"[Reader's Name]? Sweetheart, what's wrong? Take a deep breath, you're going to be okay. I'm here for you," Lena reassured, her voice filled with warmth and concern.
Through trembling breaths, [Reader's Name] managed to convey her overwhelming panic and the need for Lena's comforting presence. Without hesitation, Lena promised to be there as soon as possible, reminding [Reader's Name] to keep breathing and to remember that she was loved.
Within minutes, Lena arrived at the school, her heart aching for her distressed daughter. The sight of [Reader's Name] curled up in the bathroom stall, tears staining her cheeks, only intensified her determination to provide comfort. Gently, Lena knelt beside [Reader's Name], her touch both gentle and reassuring.
"[Reader's Name], my love, you're safe now. I'm here with you," Lena whispered, cradling [Reader's Name]'s trembling form. She stroked [Reader's Name]'s hair and held her close, providing a sense of security that only a mother's love could offer.
After some time, [Reader's Name]'s panic began to subside, her breaths steadying with each passing moment. Lena guided her daughter out of the bathroom and into the comforting embrace of her car. They drove in silence, Lena's hand clasping [Reader's Name]'s, silently conveying unwavering support.
Arriving at their peaceful haven, a beautiful home tucked away from the chaos of the world, Lena led [Reader's Name] to the cozy living room. The room emanated a serene atmosphere, filled with soft lighting, plush pillows, and warm blankets.
As they settled onto the couch, Lena enveloped [Reader's Name] in a nurturing embrace, offering a safe space to heal and recuperate. The steady rhythm of Lena's heartbeat beneath [Reader's Name]'s ear served as a reminder that she was never alone, even in her darkest moments.
Hours turned into moments, and the world beyond their refuge seemed to fade away. They talked about everything and nothing, cherishing each other's company in blissful silence. Lena's presence provided the much-needed respite, a balm for [Reader's Name]'s weary soul.
In that tranquil haven, [Reader's Name] discovered solace in the unwavering love of her mother. Lena, with her wisdom and compassion, helped [Reader's Name] navigate the complexities of life, providing a safe harbor where vulnerability was celebrated and burdens were shared.
As the evening waned, Lena tucked [Reader's Name] into bed, pressing a tender kiss against her forehead. She whispered words of encouragement and reminded [Reader's Name] of her inherent strength and resilience.
In the quiet darkness, [Reader's Name] drifted off to sleep, feeling a profound sense of security and love. Lena watched over her daughter, promising to be there through every storm and to celebrate every triumph, knowing that together they could conquer anything.
And so, in the depths of their bond, Lena and [Reader's Name] found solace, understanding, and the enduring comfort of unconditional love. Their story would continue to unfold, with each chapter written in the tenderness of their connection, etching a tale of resilience, support, and the beauty of a mother's embrace.

Training things
A couple of months ago you finally joined the volleyball team (finally watching Haikyuu paid off) and you’re pretty good at it. Now since you are half kryptonian you do have superpowers but you are not bulletproof or incapable of getting hurt, but you do are more resistant than most humans. That’s why only wearing a bracelet with a bit of kryptonite (which doesn’t affect you as much as it affects your mom) is enough to not be able to use them. This was awesome because you felt like you finally belonged somewhere, you were part of an amazing team and played in the position of the spiker. It was all amazing, especially because your tema had qualified to enter a very intense competition, but that meant training almost everyday. Even if you loved playing, the tiredness was kind of waving down on you. You never said a thing but it was all getting very exhausting. However, you kept going, until a friendly game before the holiday break arrived. It was against a near school team whose coach was friends with your coach.
Anyways, at the end of the game (to which neither of your moms could attend since it was just a training thing), you had to win just two more points and you would win.Your friend Olivia ( the setter) made the signal that indicated the next move. Zoe received the ball and it went towards Olivia who placed the ball perfectly so you could hit it. Which you did, but while hitting it your wrist did a weird movement. You tried to ignore it but the pain was getting worse, however, you couldn’t stop now, not when you were so close to winning.
‘You ok?’ Zoe said
‘Yeah, let’s finish them’ you lied
She smiled at you and the game continued. Your team repeated the move but Zoe didn’t control the ball as well as last time. Even if Olivia managed to place the ball for you again, you had to do a much harder movement to hit it. You managed to hit the ball with all the strength you had left. Everyone was celebrating the victory but Zoe noticed something was wrong.
‘Y/N!’ Zoe said while running towards you ‘You ok?’
‘Yeah, totally’ you weren’t
‘sure?’
‘I mean we just won so I’m great’ she laughed a bit and then you both kissed
After celebrating and saying goodbye to your teammates (you were all taking a little break during the holidays) you finally went home. Once you arrived you took a shower and went to bed.
The next morning you woke up and looked at the clock, it was really late in the morning. When you got up as soon as your hand made a move your wrist hurt. ‘Shit’ you cursed, you look at it and it's all almost purple, that wasn’t good. You put a sweater with long sleeves to cover it and go to the kitchen. The last thing you need is your moms finding out and telling you that you are going too far with training. You know you are, but you love it, and not only that, but your team needs you, more than ever. You get to the kitchen and no one is there, you prepare yourself breakfast and that's when you see a note that says ‘Kid, we left for a walk but will be back soon, you have pancakes on the counter:) Love, mom. Pd: please don’t break anything’ You smile and immediately go look for the pancakes. After a while you’re happy eating them and you hear the door opening.
‘We’re back!’
They both enter the kitchen
‘Hey baby’ Lena walked towards you and kissed your head. She tries to caress your hand but you flich and place it under the table quickly.
‘You ok?’
‘Yeah totally’
‘Hi kid’ Kara says walking in the kitchen, she grabs a glass of water and then gives another one to her wife after ruffling your hair a bit.
‘Had a nice sleep?’
‘Yeah, I really needed it’
‘Practice getting a bit hard huh?’
‘ Nothing I can't handle’
‘ How was the game by the way?’ Lena asks
‘Yeah how was it?, I wish we could have gone’ Kara says, mumbling the second phrase
‘It was awesome! We won!’
‘Really?’
‘Yeah in the last move Olivia received it and Zoe placed it and I just PAW’ You imitated the move. That’s where you failed. By doing the move your sleeve rolled up and even if you were able to cover your wrist, Kara was able to see that something wasn’t right.
‘Hey what’s wrong with your wrist?’
Lena immediately raised her eyebrow.
‘Nothing’
‘You sure?’
You nodded
Kara leaned on the counter and crossed her arms
‘Then let us see it’
You look at her and then at your mom who is really confused right now.
‘Come on, don't be shy’ Kara says, you look at her once more, begging her to stop. But she doesn’t. You take a deep breath, close your eyes and raise your sleeve.
‘OH MY GOD’ Lena says who immediately sits next to you and holds your arms gently, almost as if it would break at any second.
‘It’s nothing, it doesn’t even hurt’ you say
‘ Y/N your wrist is freaking purple’
Kara superspeeds to the bathroom and brings back a bandage and some medicines. She then gives them to her wife and caresses your back
‘Why didn’t you tell us?’ she says
Before you can answer Lena touches your wrist and you flinch
‘Is it broken?’ she asks
Kara takes her glasses off and looks at it.
‘No, but you have a pretty good bruise’
You lay your head on Kara’s shoulder and close your eyes while Lena starts putting the bandage on your hand.
‘I’m sorry. It's just that-’
‘go on’ Lena encourages you ‘We’re listening’ she adds so you know that even if she’s focused on your wrists she will listen to what you are gonna say
You flinch again
‘Sorry’
‘It's just that, my team needs me, were about to start the league and i can't just leave them and also’ you look at Kara who smiles a little, reassuring you
‘I didn’t wanna fail, cause I wanted to be good at something and impress you’
‘Baby everything you do impresses us’
‘I know but volley is like the only thing that none of you are not the best at’
Kara looks at Lena, confused
‘Why?’
‘Because you are both the best at literally everything, and I don’t know, I just wanted to have this one thing. It’s stupid i know’
‘Hey it' s not. Look your mom and I we are not the best at everything’ you give Kara a look
‘Really, I mean I’m a terrible liar and your mom... it's not the best at mario kart’
‘HEY’
‘Honey, I love you but it's true. You suck at mario kart’
you laughed to which both of your moms smiled.
‘What your mom is trying to say is that no one is the best and everything. Besides, we don't need you to be perfect at everything you do, you know that right?’ Lena said
You nodded
‘There you go’ Lena said. You looked at your hand and it was now bandaged.
‘Just please don’t over push yourself. It won’t do any good, believe me, I know’ Kara said, kissing your cheek
‘I won’t’
You then spent the whole day on the couch with your moms cuddling because according to Kara: Even if your wrist isn’t broken you still need to rest, your body is fragile right now and cuddling is the best way to take care of it. Luckily, thanks to your kryptonian half your wrist was soon enough back to normal (but the cuddles helped too) and soon you were back with your team, but this time, without any pressures.

Word Count: 725
Lena had just got home from a long day of work. She had a board meeting with some potential investors that went terribly and all she wanted was to eat dinner with her little one and go to sleep.
She picked you up from Kara’s, who’d happily agreed to watch you after school. Usually, you would go hang out in your Mom’s office, but Lena’s meetings just were never ending today so she panic-called Kara during her short lunch break.
“What do you feel like for dinner munchkin?” You shrugged your shoulders, watching as your mom kicked off her heels and dropped her bag by the front door.
“Well, I think we have some leftover pasta from last night, you good with that y/n?” You nodded, skipping down to your room to get changed. Lena smiled at the sight before going to do so herself.
When you heard your mom past, you poked your head out of your room and scurried back to the entryway where she left her bag. You quickly dug her purse out and pulled out some bills, not taking a moment to look at what they were valued.
“Y/n Elizabeth Luthor.” Your eyes went wide as you spun around to see your mom, her arms crossed, her eyebrow cocked. “What do you think you’re doing?”
“I- I-” You stuttered, feeling your face flush warm with embarrassment.
“You what, y/n? you thought you could go to my bag and take money out of my purse and I’d be none the wiser? Y/n, you know better than to betray my trust like that,” Lena could feel herself losing her temper, something she never does with you. She turns around, trying to collect herself until she feels a pair of small arms wrap around her waist.
“Mommy, mommy ‘m sorry!! ‘m s-sorry mommy!” Lena forgets her emotions and turns around to hold your distraught face in her hands.
“Hey, hey, c’mon. Let’s take some deep breaths together, okay?” You followed her lead and soon stopped sobbing, though your tears still ran down your cheeks.
Lena grabbed your hand and lead you to the couch, sitting you down opposite her.
“I just wanted to buy you a birthday present…” You mumbled softly,
“Can you speak up please, y/n?” You looked up, surprised to see that your Mom no longer looked angry.
“I just, I wanted to buy you a birthday present. I’ve been saving up my pocket money but I was a dollar or two short and I just was gonna take it and – and put it back when I could. ‘m sorry mommy.” Lena’s heart sank.
“Oh sweetheart.” She pulled you into her as you dissolved into tears again. She smoothed back your hair, kissing you gently on your forehead.
“I – I knew it was wrong, I just, wanted to d-do something nice for you and didn’t know h-how and -”
Lena shushed you and pulled your small frame onto her lap, rocking you slightly back and forth.
“’m a bad kid. My parents left, they, they would be so disappointed in me.” You wailed against Lena’s chest.
Her heart broke, “Y/n, hey, hey. We don’t talk about ourselves like that, hm? You are a smart, sweet, wonderful little girl.” She kissed you on your hair, “And your parents are so proud of you. They watch over you every day, darling.”
You sniffed and wiped your face, “really?”
Lena nodded and reached over to pull some tissues from the side table before cleaning your face, fixing your haphazard job. “Really, y/n.”
“Sweetheart, I’m sorry I overreacted before knowing what was going on. Mommy can be wrong sometimes too and I promise to try and understand what is happening before I react.”
“’s okay mommy.”
“And, you know you can ask me for anything you need – or you can go to Aunt Kara or Aunt Alex. I’m sure they would’ve been happy to help you out with a dollar or two.” She smiles softly, rubbing your cheek with her finger until you do the same.
“You are my biggest gift, y/n. I couldn’t want anything else. Being your mommy is my favourite job.” You smile brightly at that.
“Being your daughter is MY favourite job.” You giggle as she tickles your sides before pulling you closer. Both of you relishing in the warmth and comfort.

[Daxam after the explosion of Krypton]
Someone woke you up, and you were confused when you saw the fear in the eyes of your maid. "What's happening?" She didn't have the time to reply when you both heard screams and cries. She took your hand and dragged you out of the castle.
"Ms. Y/n, Krypton exploded, and it is falling on Daxam. I need to make sure you can escape." She found a Kryptonian pod and pushed you in.
"No, Abbie, I don't want to leave you." You started to cry, "Come with me, please." You plead, but she shook her head.
"You're the princess of Daxam, miss. You have to go and survive." She hugged you and apologized, "I'm sorry, Y/N." She was crying as well.
"You can't leave me. I need you, and mom, and dad and my brother" she brushed her thumb on your cheek to calm you down, "and I'm only 5, I'll not survive without you. Please Abbie" you plead again.
"I already put data in it; it'll bring you to a planet called Earth," she kissed your forehead before starting the pod. "Don't forget, miss, you're a princess; act like one," she said as she placed her hand on the window, and you reciprocated: "Good luck, miss Y/N."
You were flying into space without saying anything.The journey should have been quick, but your pod collided with an asteroid, sending you to the phantom zone.You are imprisoned for the next 27 years before miraculously escaping.
[Earth, a town near Metropolis]
When you landed on Earth, Clark was already Superman. He found your pod when you lend and helped you, and because of him, you found a new home in this new world. The (y/l/n)s were good parents; they always wanted a new child, so when the Superman asked for their assistance, they couldn't say no.
The first years were difficult, you missed your family and Abbie too. But fortunately, you were glad to have a new big brother who was a jerk but not a Don Juan and a big sister who was always here when you needed her.
After a few years and many late-night conversations with your sister, Jessy, you decide to live a life that makes you proud. Since this moment, you were not the princess of Daxam; you were just Y/n Y/l/n, daughter of James and Kathryn (Y/l/n), and the little sister of Mike and Jessy. It was all you needed, at least before you went to high school. You met her there; she was stunning and beautiful; you couldn't count how many times you were lost in her green eyes, and her black hair, which contrasted nicely with her pale skin, was also quite nice.Her name: Lena Luthor.
After taking some advice from your friends and your siblings, you asked her out, and she accepted. You started dating one month after your first date, and three years later you married her. With her job at Luthor Corp and your job at Daily Planet, you almost have time to spend together, but you decided to have a child, you carried her, and it was the most beautiful thing in your life after Lena.Her name was Lilly; you thought it was a pretty name, and it was the minimum for your pretty princess.
Time flies, Lex has gone insane just after you and Lilly move to National City. Lois found you a job at Catco where you could work less and spend more time with your daughter. Unfortunately, that means you were not here when Lex tied your wife to a chair in his office and threatened to kill you. She was aware of your past and the fact that you were a daxamite, but she didn't mind; all she cared about was the fact that you adored her and Lilly above all else.
[Present]
It's been a while now since Lena came to Central City, and you will not lie; you were pretty glad. Lilly loves you, but she missed her other mom too. Today you decided to have lunch with your wife, and you brought your daughter. It was a little surprise to Lena, but it was a surprise for you when you knocked and opened the door to find an older woman with your wife. She looked familiar, but you couldn't tell where you saw her.
The little girl didn't hesitate and rushed to her mom to greet her with a hug, and the green-eyed woman picked her up. "Hi little princess, I missed you," she cooed, and you smiled at the interaction. She looked at you and seemed to recall something, so she cleared her throat and came to a halt beside you, kissing you and saying, "Rhea, this is my wife, and Lilly is our daughter."She introduced you. "Y/n, this is Rhea. She asked for my help on a new project." She explained, and you nodded.
You offered your hand at Reah, and she shook it. "Nice to meet you, Mrs. Rhea; I hope she'll not bother you too much," you joked, and your wife punched your shoulder. "You know that doesn't hurt me, honey," you said, and Lena rolled her eyes.
"Mommy, I'm hungry." Lilly said.
"Oh, I think it's my clue to leave." The older brunette said,
"No, you can stay and eat with us." You offered.
"Oh no, I don't want to ruin a mother-daughter moment," she said, and she pocked the cheek of the little girl, who giggled,
"You don't ruin anything, Rhea." Lena said this time,
"Don't worry, there is someone who wait for me too," she said before walking to the door. "I'll see you soon, Lena." The three of you waved your hands, and she left.
"I like her," you said. "I just hope this new project will not take all your time."
The CEO kissed your cheek this time "I promise. Now let's go to eat."
~~~~~~
After your first meeting with Rhea, the woman was always here when you visited L-Corp. It was not really bothering, she was pretty good with your daughter, and Luly seems to like her too. You were waiting for your wife that night, and you were reading a bedtime story to your little princess when she said something that caught your attention: "Mama, Mrs. Rhea, look like you." You stopped reading the story and looked at her,
"What do you mean, princess?" you asked softly,
"Yeah, she looks like you, and she looks like Mike too." You frowned your brows; you hadn't met Mike, Kara's new friend, yet. Lilly and Lena liked to say you had some common point with him, but you didn't know him. "Do you think she's from Da-Dax..." She searched for the right word, and it was cute to look at.
"Daxam, baby girl. And I don't know; I almost forgot everything about it. It's been a while you know." She nodded, "Now it's time to sleep, little princess. Tomorrow we will go to the carnival with mommy," you said, and she was so excited.
You left her bedroom when you were sure she was sleeping. You looked at the time and noticed it was late, and Lena didn't reply to your texts or your calls. You thought for a moment before calling Alex. "Hey Alex," you said when she answered the phone,
"Hey Y/n, it's late. Aren't you supposed to sleep?" She worriedly asked.
You groan "You're such a mom." And she laughed "do you know where is Lena? I tried to call her, but she didn't reply, and she didn't reply to my texts. I'm starting to worry." You admitted and you heard her sighed
"Y/N, we have a problem," she said, and you started to worry about your wife "We think she has been trapped and kidnapped by Mike's mom. But don't worry, Kara is on it."
"Where are you?" A wave of rage begins to wash over you.Alex told you where she was, you called Jessy, and she took Lilly with her for the night before you almost flew to where your friends was. When you reached the older Danvers, she was in front of a portal. She told you Kara was on the other side, and you didn't hesitate to run after her.
On the ship, you found Kara, Mike, Rhea, and an angry Superman. "What the hell?" you yelled, and every gaze was on you. "why Clark look like he's in front of a bad guy?" you asked, and the black-haired Kryptonian walked to you before he was stopped by Kara. You looked at Rhea and said, "You. Where is my wife?" You asked
"What Lena is your wife?" Mon-el said, and you focused on him.
"I saw you somewhere," you said, and some flashes from your childhood started to run in your mind. "Mon-el?" you asked, and you tilted your head. "But how? You were supposed to be dead when Krypton fell on Daxam." You were more than confused. He was about to reply when Rhea attacked you with a dagger made of lead. Thanks to your training with Clark, you successfully dodged it and attacked her back.
"Who are you?" the man  asked you.
"I'm Y/n, princess of Daxam," you said, and the room froze at your confession.
"Wait, Y/n like--" your brother wanted to say something, but Rhea cut him off,
"It's impossible," she said."My daughter died, Krypton took me my daughter," she explained, and now everything makes sense—the familiar look, the fact that Lena and Lilly always say you look like both of them.
"Mother?" you asked, and you didn't trust what you said. All this time, you thought you were the only one who survived. "But how should you be dead, both of you?" you asked, as tears streamed down your cheeks. "Wait, if you're both alive, that's mean father and Abbie too." At your sentence, Rhea was hit by a wave of guilt. Mon-El looked at her and didn't say anything.
She shook her head, and you cried harder. "I'm sorry," she whispered. "I'm really sorry." She kept repeating it as if it would make you stop, but it didn't. And honestly, neither of them could make you feel better. You wanted to yell at them because they didn't protect Abbie, but an alarm stopped you.
"What is this?" you asked, and a guard ran to where you were before stopping and panting,
"My queen, the humans... They sent lead into the atmosphere." he announced, and the three of you widen your eyes
"What?" You said, but you didn't wait for any response before leaving the ship—thankfully, it was on top of the building. When your feet were definitely on the ground, you started to run. You had to find Lilly; she can't be exposed to the lead. Even if she was half human, she would be affected by the lead.
[North Pole, Fortress of Solitude, a few minutes earlier]
After Lena crossed the portal, Luke closed it. "What are you doing?" the young Luthor asked, but her mom didn't look at her.
"We needed to get away, and we did. Now what happens to them? That's not our problem." Lillian said nonchalantly, "But we have another problem." She said, and her daughter tilted her head with confusion, "ThisRhea sent all her army to conquer us, but we can stop her." Her voice was cold and calm, but she was a little worried, even if she didn't let it show. She is attached to Lilly, and she can't imagine what they could do to her.
"And what are your plan?"Lena asked coldly.
"We know they're weak against lead; it's their kryptonite." She took a little box "Lex had planned to use this to diffuse kryptonite in the atmosphere to kill Superman, but if you change it, it could diffuse lead." She informed her,
"And why would I do that?" The CEO scuffed,
"Because we both know you have a reason who is 4 years old and could be in danger if they found her." Lillian said,
"But my wife is a daxamite too." Lena reminded her,
"Yeah, I know, and I have something that could help her not be affected." She said casually, "So?"
Lena examined her mother and the cyborg beside her "deal."She said it quietly but enough to be heard by her mom, who now had a smile on her face.
Only a few minutes later, your genius wife finished the modification and activated the device.
[National City, present]
You knocked on the door of Jessy's apartment, she opened quickly and inspected you before leading you to her sofa. "What happened to you? Where is Lena?" she asked, afraid of your condition.
"Someone diffuses lead in the—" you coughed, "atmosphere," you finished, coughing.
"Wait who? And why?" Your sister asked,
"I don't know, but I need to contact Lena. Lilly will be affected by the lead, and she's the only one who could help us." You declared, Jess wanted to say something, but her phone rang; it was Lena.
"Lena, where are you?... what? Yeah, she's with me ... Right now? Okay, she's with me too, in my apartment... Yeah see you soon." she hangs on and turned to you "it was Lena she's in her way to come here. She'll be here soon. You should rest. I'll bring you water," she said as she walked to the kitchen.
You walked to Jessy's room and opened the door. You saw Lilly. She was sleeping, but suddenly she started to cough and was now awake. You took her in your arms and made your way back to the living room. Jessy came back and gave you both a glass of water. It's been more than twenty years now since you were on earth, so you knew you could stay a little longer, but you were worried for Lilly. Fortunately, Lena didn't make you wait too long.
You heard a knock on the door, and your big sis opened it. She smiled when she saw Lena, but her smile disappeared when she saw the woman behind her. "Oh Lillian, what a surprise." she said coldly, but let them step inside.
When you saw the familiar green eyes you were relieved and then you saw your mother-in-law, you suppressed a caught "Mother-in-law." you greeted her
"Daughter-in-law" She greeted you back, "You seemed more alive the last time I saw you," she joked, and you chuckled,
"Granny Lillian." Lilly greeted her, and the older Luthor's heart almost dropped when she heard the voice of her granddaughter.
"Hey princess, did you catch a cold?" Lena asked when she noticed her daughter's condition.
"No, someone diffused lead in the atmosphere," you replied, and the youngest Luthor coughed against your chest. "Hey, it's okay, Princess," you ran your hand through her hair. "Mommy is here; she'll find a way to help you." you whispered loudly against her temple.
Lena covered her mouth with her hands. It couldn't be real. Her baby girl shouldn't be affected by the lead, she's human too. Lillian noticed and decided to speak, "We have something that could help her." She informed you.
You didn't have to think too long about it, you understood they couldn't save both of you. "Hey princess, do you want to show the gift uncle Mike gave you to your granny?" You asked softly, and she nodded before getting up and walking to her bedroom. You started to walk to the kitchen and made eye contact with your wife. She got the hint and followed you.
"I'm sorry," she barely said between sobs.
"Hey, darling... *cough*... it's okay. You'll help Lilly, and I'm sure you'll find a solution for me after that." You kissed her forehead gently.
"I was not talking about this," she admitted. You didn't say anything; you just studied her eyes.
"It was you?" You asked her, and she nodded. She was crying harder, and you locked her between your arms. She could hear your heartbeats, but they were so ecstatic she couldn't feel safe, "I know why you did that." You whispered, and you ran a hand through her hair, "I'm not angry or anything, Lena. Just promise me you'll do anything to heal Lilly." She gently drew back and locked her gaze on yours.You only saw sadness and fear in her eyes, and it was killing you.
"I promise. But we have to do something for you." She replied, and you smiled softly.
"It's okay, my queen; I'm sure Superman and Supergirl won't mind if I stay in the fortress for a while." You tried to reassure her, or you. You didn't really know, but you can't let her feel bad for something she couldn't control. "I'm okay, Lena, I promise."
Jessy came in the kitchen, and you looked at her. "Lilly is feeling better now." She informed you, and Lena was relieved. You wanted to rush to your baby girl and take her in your arms, but you fell to the ground.
When you awoke, you were in the fortress. You could feel the lead in your lungs, but the pain slowly went away. You looked around and noticed a floating robot."Good morning, Mrs. Y/l/n-Luthor, I'm Kelex," he said.
"Oh, nice to meet you, Kelex." You looked around. "We are in the fortress, right?" you asked.
"That's right. Supergirl brought you here after you collapsed in your sister's apartment," he explained.
"Oh," was all you could say."Do you know where the others are?" you asked.
"They were back in National City. But you can't see them right now." he said, and you looked confused. "The atmosphere is not totally free of lead. You must stay here, safe," he explained.
"Do you know until when?" you asked, a little saddened by the revelation.
"We don't know, but don't worry, I'll let Mrs. Luthor and Kara know you're awake. They could come to see you during your time here." he said, and you nodded.
"Okay, it'll be fun. At least, I hope," you muttered.
