“God, whoever did this has an arm on them.”
“Reid,” Yoonah whispers in an attempt to get the man under control. He looks down at the woman who called him, her arms crossed over her chest with a displeased look on her face. Reid shrugs, a passing look of confusion on his face as he kneels next to Hyojin’s crumbled body.
Reid pokes between the boy’s shoulder blades, grunting softly when the boy’s body moves slightly.
“He’s definitely dead.”
Yoonah sighs loudly, looking towards the living room, where the rest of the girls sat in various states of shock. Klara holds Chloe as close as she can, arm around her shoulders while the other hand holds tightly onto hers. Bliss and Sena sit on the same couch but on separate ends, both with vacant stares.
A hand is on Yoonah’s cheek. She jerks away with a small gasp before looking at Reid with knitted brows. Reid leaves his hand in the air near her face, looking at her with concern. It’s the first time he’s looked concerned since he got here despite seeing a dead body in a puddle of blood.
“Did he hit you?” Reid asks.
The fight happened so fast that Yoonah can barely remember it. Hyojin was unstoppable. He was like a monster from one of Yoonah’s nightmares, a rage that no one could stop. She remembers how hard his shove was; it sent her straight to the ground. Yoonah’s been thrown around before; she’s been hit before, but nothing compared to the rage that was Hyojin. When she dug her nails into his arm to rip him off of Klara, he swatted her away like an annoying fly buzzing near his ear.
She assumes that’s what Reid is referring to.
“He hit all of us,” Yoonah sighs as Reid leans down to look at her bruising cheek, “It doesn’t matter. He’s dead.”
Reid huffs, brushing his thumb over her cheek. Yoonah’s lips twitch as she holds back a flinch, staring at his face momentarily. She remembered what he looked like with blood and tears on his face. He looks so strong now, so cold, but Yoonah still knows him. She knows his eyes. They’re warm and filled with the light of twenty suns. Even with all he’s seen with those eyes, they still harbor that ardor.
Reid drops his hand, nodding with a grunt.
“Yeah…” He looks down at the body again before sighing and pulling his phone out. Yoonah knits her brows as he begins dialing a phone number.
“What are you doing?”
“Calling Roan.”
“Why?” Yoonah reaches to get the phone from his hand, but Reid simply turns away from her. It’s easy for him to dodge her attempts to grab the phone from his hand by how he towers over her.
“I can’t carry this thing on my own,” Reid tells her as if she’s ever actually assisted in getting rid of a body. She’s just cleaned the killers up afterward. A task that never required seeing a body or dealing with fresh blood, only dried.
“I’ll do it. Don’t drag another person into this!” Yoonah argues, reaching for his phone again, but Reid is quicker than her, putting his hand on her shoulder and holding her back at arm's length.
“You’re too small. He’ll probably be happy Hyojin’s dead anyway. Don’t worry so much.” If Yoonah weren’t so frazzled by what just occurred in her hallways, she would be scared at Reid’s callousness towards death and murder. Then she remembers all she knows about him, the times they’ve shared together in steamy bathrooms with Reid in the bathtub and Yoonah scrubbing at the blood stains on his back.
Roan shows up in ten minutes flat. Yoonah doesn’t know how he got here so fast.
Yoonah learns he’s more handsome in person, even with a look of shock on his face. Another man strolls in behind Roan with his hands in his pockets like this was a normal Saturday night affair, making Yoonah look at Reid in agitated confusion.
“Who the fuck is that?”
“I don’t know. Why would–”
“That’s Jihan,” Roan simply answers as Jihan kneels beside Hyojin’s lifeless body, rolling his from his stomach to his back with a small grunt. “He knows what he’s doing.”
Yoonah looks back into the living room to see Bliss cleaning the blood splatters off Sena’s face with a makeup wipe. She sees Chloe and Klara talking quietly, their eyes locked and fingers tightly intertwined. She sighs through her nose when Jihan huffs, looking up at Roan with a shrug.
“He got any family?”
“No,” Chloe’s voice suddenly rings out. All heads turn toward the girl who stands on the threshold of the kitchen and living room. “His mom died, and his dad disowned him. His grandma is dead, too. He had no one except maybe…” Chloe finds it hard to say the other man’s name, feeling bile rise in her throat at the mere thought of him. Roan watches her carefully, putting the pieces together for her.
“Daeul.” Chloe scowls when she hears the syllables of his name, glaring down at Hyojin’s body. She hates that she can see his face now. He looks as if he’s sleeping, making her sick to her stomach. Countless nights, she saw that face, watched that face, trying to figure out why he was the way he was, why he treated her the way he did, and feared that face. How someone so physically beautiful could be so evil was beyond her.
“He’s not going to be a problem, is he?” Jihan asks, trying to work this out logistically. Roan and Chloe shake their heads in unspoken unison.
“He’s a coward,” Roan deadpans. Chloe silently agrees. Jihan nods before sighing, pushing himself to stand and pointing to Reid.
“You know what to do.” And Reid does know what to do, moving like a robot when those words leave Jihan’s mouth.
Reid nods, his face unreadable as he walks towards the kitchen, Yoonah trailing behind him. She watches as he opens one of the cabinets, revealing an array of cleaning supplies. Yoonah's heart pounds in her chest, her mind racing with thoughts of what Reid is about to do. But she knows she can't let him carry this burden alone.
"Wait," Yoonah says, stepping forward and placing a hand on Reid's arm. He looks at her, his eyes searching hers for a moment before he sighs.
"I don't want you involved in this any further," Reid mutters, his voice low and filled with apprehension.
Yoonah shakes her head, determination burning in her gaze. "It’s a bit too late for that.” Reid’s gaze softens slightly at her words, knowing they’re true. Still, that doesn’t make it easier for either of them.
Reid gives her a long look before finally nodding. With a silent understanding, they gather the necessary supplies and make their way back to the lifeless body of Hyojin. Yoonah's heart pounds in her chest, a mix of fear and adrenaline fueling her every step. She has never witnessed such brutality before, and the weight of the situation presses down on her shoulders. But she refuses to let it consume her.
Reid sets down the cleaning supplies on the kitchen counter, his movements calculated and precise. Yoonah watches him closely, trying to mimic his calm demeanor despite the chaos swirling inside her mind. She takes a deep breath, steeling herself for what lies ahead.
Jihan does know what he’s doing. The way he expertly folds Hyojin’s body up and into a suitcase makes Yoonah queasy, unable to tear her gaze away from him as he does so. Chloe doesn’t look half as disturbed as Yoonah. When Yoonah looks at her to check on her, she’s blank. There’s nothing in her eyes or on her face. She just watches the man she once loved get folded up like a paper bird and stuffed into a suitcase.
“How are you going to get rid of him?” Chloe asks, voice still void of any emotion. Roan looks at Jihan, then at Chloe, then back at Jihan again, shrugging his shoulders slightly. He’s clearly not in charge of things like this often. Jihan glances at the suitcase and then at Chloe.
“We’re going to burn him then dump the ashes in the river.”
“Jesus Christ,” Yoonah whispers, running her hands through her hair to hold onto the roots tightly. Silently, she exits to the living room, needing the comfort of her sisters not the callousness of the men in their kitchen.
Chloe feels her jaw tighten at that, looking at the silver suitcase Hyojin was now stuffed in. For some reason, her eyes feel warm. She doesn’t feel much of anything right now. She doesn’t know why her body is telling her to cry. Instead she takes a deep breath, turning her gaze to Jihan, raising her brows.
“I want to come with you,” Chloe tells him. Roan shakes his head, arms crossing.
“No. No, you don’t-”
“You’re only saying that because you read what he did to me,” Chloe interjects bluntly, her eyes lifting from Jihan to Roan, who takes a deep breath and remains silent. Chloe runs her tongue over the underside of her molars, nodding.
“It was pretty nasty, wasn’t it?”
She’s met with silence. Chloe hates knowing that another person knows the details of what happened to her that night, especially when the details were put in such a clinical way on her report. Even though Chloe didn’t hate Jinhwa, she was happy when he died because that meant one less person knew what happened to her. Roan can’t even meet her eyes anymore, looking at the drying puddle of blood on the ground instead.
“I think I get the right to watch him burn…Right?” Jihan looks up at Roan at Chloe’s question, his eyes telling him he agrees with her. With a sigh through his nose, Roan nods, letting his arms drop to his side with a clap. Chloe forces a smile that doesn’t meet her eyes at him when he agrees, adverting her gaze back to the suitcase. She feels something begin to light in her chest the longer she looks at it, a small smile creeping on her lips.
Relief.

reader is female. kind of a second part to this but not really..? it could be read as a second part requested by an anon, i hope you enjoy it!

Tumblr media
Hongjoong:
You wake up to an empty bed and a loud clang in the kitchen. You reach over to the lamp beside you, blearily blinking away the sleep in your eyes as your ears pick up various giggling in the hallway. The digital clock beside the lamp read 2:30 am. It took you a couple of seconds to realize what was happening before you were jumping out of bed and storming towards the kitchen.
“Kim Hongjoong and Kim Junseo,” You grumble as you appear in the kitchen doorway.
The two loves of your life stopped what they were doing- which was currently mixing some espresso with a shot of some energy drink. You knew what this meant- your husband had no plan of sleeping yet and your son thought it would be a good idea to go along. But you, of course, weren’t having it.
“It was daddy’s idea,” The little boy said and pointed to his father the minute he saw your unamused expression.
“Yah, don’t sell me out like that-”
“It’s two-thirty in the morning. Go to sleep,” You lifted your finger before they could protest. “You need sleep, you’re still growing.” You tell your son before facing your husband. “And you, have been working overtime. Come on now misters- off to bed.”
The father and son pair decided to follow before you push them into bed. But as Junseo hops off the counter, he knocks the glass of espresso-energy drink cocktail down to the ground. Your body moved on its own accord before you could realize what happened, and grabbed the glass, spilling some of the content on the floor.
“Go to bed, I’ll clean this up.” You say when you come to your senses. “And please for the love of God, no more staying up.”
Tumblr media
Seonghwa:
It was a sunny day in the amusement park. You, Seonghwa, and Hyojin were by the large slides. And of course, Seonghwa was taking pictures of his two beautiful models, whether candid or planned.
“Again, again!” Hyonjin cheered when she reached the end of the slide, standing up and clapping her hands. “But let’s do the big ones!”
“Are you sure you can handle that sweetie?” Your husband asks her as he helps her off the slide, fixing her little dress and the bow in her hair. He smiles when she nods and tugs on his and your hands to lead you to the slide she wanted.
She had definitely gotten this enthusiasm from you. She was always so ready to jump into things and try them, even if it seemed scary. He always called her his brave little princess for that. Sometimes he feels like he’d get a heart attack from what she does but as long as he or you was there, it was fine.
You and Seonghwa stay at the end of the slide and wave up to her when she reaches the top. She waves back energetically before sitting on the small mat that was given to her to help go down the rather enormous slide. As Hyonjin scoots forward, she lets out an excited holler, her long tresses flowing behind her as she zooms down towards you.
Unfortunately, she tried to slow down her descent by sticking her feet to the sides. And of course, by the law of inertia, the sudden stop makes her fly forward. Her face could have planted into the ground if you hadn’t jumped forward and caught her in your arms.
You both tumbled to the ground and Seonghwa immediately rushes over to you, ushering his two princesses to the side. “Are you two okay?” He says as he looks over the both of you.
Hyonjin, oblivious as ever, only nodded. “Mommy caught me so I’m okay.”
“I’m a little shaken,” You admit but the smile never leaves your face. “Maybe a kiss from my prince and my baby would help me feel better.”
Hyonjin only giggled and placed a big, wet kiss on your cheek. You chuckled at the ticklish feeling before Seonghwa cups your chin, gently turning your head to face him. He lovingly strokes your cheek before leaning in to press a short but sweet peck to your lips.
Tumblr media
Yunho:
“Daddy look, it’s uncle Mingi!” Eun-jung, now nine years old, said from her spot on her father’s shoulder.
Yunho laughs as she indicates the giraffe in front of them. “Oh yeah, it does look like him.” He mused and handed her a short branch of leaves for her to feed to the creature.
Yunho turns to you while you were busy entertaining your son, Eun-sang. He was now three years old and can hold a conversation with people. It felt like only yesterday when his son was just born and his sister was begging to hold him.
“You enjoying the giraffes buddy?” Yunho asks his son.
“Mhmm! I wanna see something ewls too.” Eun-sang says.
“I’ll take him to see the koalas,” You tell Yunho. “Don’t give daddy a hard time, Eun-jung!”
“I won’t mommy,” She promises and waves goodbye to you.
You adjusted your hold on your son, lifting him up further, and started to walk to where the koala enclosure was. The two of you were so wrapped up in your conversation that you didn’t notice a couple of children running in your direction. Yunho’s eyes widened, realizing that the kids could barrel into you, making you fall.
“______, watch out!”
You turn at his voice, seeing the kids rushing at you. You jump to the side but you lose your footing, making you tumble to the ground. Your son grasps onto you but you swerve and fall onto your knees so that you don’t crush him under you. He looks up at you, wondering what had happened. “You okay mommy?” He asks and puts his small hand on your cheek
Your husband rushes to you, your daughter following alongside him and checking up on the both of you. Eun-jung, being the hands on older sister she was, took her brother from you while Yunho helped you up. “God, that was terrifying.” He admits and helps you brush off the dirt on your clothes. “But that was quick of you babe.”
“Mommy has Spider-Man refwekses.” Eun-sang giggles and you smirk up at your husband.
“HAH, I told you I had them too.”
Tumblr media
Yeosang:
You cooed down to your daughter, Haneul, as she lay on her back on the changing table. She smiles up at you, hands outstretched as you cleaned her up and started changing her diaper. You handed her the chicken stick rattle that Yeosang gave her the month she could start holding things to distract her.
“Oh, that’s stinky!” Ji-ho complains as he passes by his little sister’s room, dragging his toy behind him.
“You’ll be on diaper changing duty one day, mister!” You call out to your son in amusement as you finish up.
You only chuckle to yourself when he protests, making you shake your head. You hum to yourself as you throw away all the used materials. “Where’s her shorts?” You ask yourself and momentarily turn away to get it.
But what you didn’t realize was that Haneul grew bored of her rattle and became impatient of just laying there. She cooed as she started to roll over, thinking that it was just another flat surface to crawl all over. The second she fell off the edge of the changing table was the second you turned back around to put it on her.
Your eyes widened and it felt like the whole world slowed down. You lunged forward and caught your baby in time before she could hit the ground. The force of the impact made her cry, causing you to snap out of your stupor. You cradle her to you, gently hushing her and leaning her head against your shoulder.
“It’s okay baby, mommy’s here,” You coo to her and pull away to kiss her head. “You’re such a little troublemaker aren’t you?”
Tumblr media
San:
The sounds of giggles floated around the kitchen along with the clanging of cupboards. It was currently eight-thirty in the evening in the Choi household. Nari and Sooyun, both four and nine years old respectively, were in the kitchen, sneaking cookies from the cookie jar after managing to slip past their babysitter who was watching tv in the living room.
They were supposed to be asleep in their shared room and for a while they were. That was until the coast was clear and their babysitter returned to the living room. That meant to wake up from their fake sleep, grab some goodies from the kitchen, and head back into the room to snack on it.
Nari and Sooyun were now in their room, mouth, and teeth covered in chocolate while their little plastic cups were filled with strawberry milk. They giggled to themselves, high on success after sneaking past their babysitter. But that joy was short-lived when they heard the familiar rumble of the car’s engine in the driveway.
“Quick Nari!” Sooyun urges her sister and the two girls quickly cleaned up and disposed of their trash. They hastily taped the plastic bag full of Kisses Chocolates, thinking their parents wouldn’t find out, threw it in the fridge, and jumped into bed. The oldest girl turned off the lights and made sure things were in order before sleeping.
You and San come to check on your two angels after your little date night. But as soon you walked into the room, you knew something was off. You spot the little crumbs by the foot of Sooyun’s bed and the pink plastic cup that she had hastily shoved under it. You shake your head in amusement, walking over to pick it up as your husband kissed the two girls’ foreheads.
“Why do you have that?” San asks when he sees you with the cup. You say nothing, but nod your head towards your daughters. It took him a couple of seconds before he realized what had happened and he nodded in understanding.
“Oh well, I guess we won’t be going to the ice cream parlor tomorrow,” San sighs loudly, seeing the girls tense under their blankets. “I guess you and I will be the only ones to go. What do you say _____-”
“We’re sorry mommy!” Nari said, the first to cave in. She was sniffling as tears threatened to fall down her round cheeks. “Please take us to ice cream!”
Tumblr media
Mingi:
You chuckle as Young-soo bounces on the mattress, cupping his dad’s cheeks when his father leans over him. Mingi settles his son in the middle of the mattress again while you stay on the other side, ready to catch him in the next few seconds. Your husband flops down onto the edge of the mattress, making the two-year-old boy fly up in the air and squeal in delight.
“Hold on, I have to head to the bathroom,” You say as you get up.
“Don’t take too long babe,” Mingi says as he pulls his son towards him and tickles his stomach.
You assure him and jog to the bathroom, leaving the two boys alone. For a while, Mingi entertains Young-soo by blowing raspberries into his stomach or cheeks and by tickling his sides. Joyous giggles fill the air but the boy soon grows bored of just being tickled.
“Up, up!” He tells his dad, shaking the man’s much larger hand.
“Let’s wait for mommy bud, it’s not safe.” He tells his son. The boy, sensing that he didn’t get what he wanted, started to burst into tears. Mingi cringes at the sound, trying his best to hush him. Eventually, he caves in when none of his attempts seem to work.
“Alright, alright. Just this once. But don’t tell your mom.” He says as he settles his son on the center of the mattress again.
Once more, he launches his son into the air but the little boy twists, making him go off course. And he would’ve fallen to the floor if you didn’t enter in time to catch him. You grab Young-soo by the arm and leg and pull him to you. “Oh my God- Song Mingi.”
“Baby he wanted it!” He tried to protest, only to see his son make a funny face at him.
Tumblr media
Wooyoung:
“Good job kiddo,” Wooyoung says as he pats his son’s head.
Minjoon beams proudly up at his father, continuing with mixing the batter for their little cake meant for you. He wasn’t ashamed to admit that he took after his father’s cooking skills- in fact he always made sure to mention it to his friends. And because he wanted to level up his skills to be on par with his dad’s he always made sure to practice whenever he could.
Minjoon hums as he rocks back and forth on the bar stool behind the counter. Wooyoung hears the creaking noise of the chair’s wood and reaches out to still his son’s actions. He didn’t want to have the high chair incident repeat again.
“You can’t sit still, now can you buddy?” The man teases his son, only to receive a pout.
“I’m not going to fall dad,” Minjoon argues but follows nonetheless. He only pouted more when his dad ruffled his hair and went back to what he was doing.
Eventually the two fell into routine again, exchanging some father-son banter and helping each other around the kitchen. The two grew focused on what they were doing that Wooyoung didn’t notice that his son started to rock back and forth on the seat again.
You walk into the kitchen a little later, a gentle smile on your face. You were about to ask what the two were doing when Minjoon tilts a little too backward, making the chair tip over in that direction. You drop whatever you were holding at that moment and rush to catch him.
Your son falls with a choked yell, landing into your arms as you both topple to the floor from the impact. Wooyoung ran from his spot by the stove, turning it to low heat first- you didn’t want a fire to start, and over to you. “What happened??”
You look up from your spot on the floor, your arms protectively wrapped around Minjoon. “The little rascal fell,” You breathed. You look down to your son and kiss his hair, letting out a relieved chuckle. “You have got to stop doing that, buddy.”
Tumblr media
Jongho:
One of the perks of being an active family is that the kids are always entertained and you get to have fun at the same time. Exercise is just a bonus. Right now, you were in this bouncy house/parkour gym for people of all ages- a treat for your kids who managed to get high grades in class.
As of now, your twins were by a small area where some short wire-lines were set up for the zipline. It was the type of zipline where you hang by your hands, allowing you to jump into the pit filled with soft blue blocks. Jongho was on top with your son, Young-min, while you and your daughter, Young-soon, were at the foot of the zipline, cheering him on.
“Come on Young-min! You got this!” She encourages as she bounced around. She was always the more daring one between the two of them.
Jongho knelt by his son, cupping the back of his head. “You ready bud?” He asks gently.
The boy only nodded, both excitement and nerves filling his system. He brushes his sweaty palms against his pants and releases a curt sigh. His fingers then curled around the bars that the gym worker handed him, bouncing on the balls of his feet.
“You don’t have to do it if you’re scared-”
“No, dad-” Young-min answers firmly. “I got this.”
He exhales and pushes off, feeling the wind whip against his face as he zipped down. He could faintly hear his sister’s cheers as he raced to the bottom. Unfortunately, he doesn't let go on time. So when he hits the metal stopper at the bottom of the zipline, the force of the impact causes him to launch forward, throwing him out of his hold on the zipline and away from the safety pit below.
You instinctively reached out, your body reacting before you could register what was happening, and pulled him towards you; you’ve practically saved him from potentially face planting into the ground. He looks shaken up when you help him to the ground, eyes wide with adrenaline.
“Are you okay?” You ask him, a bit worriedly, as you look over him for any pulled muscles.
All anxiety melts away when he beams widley and throws his hand up in the air. “AGAIN!”

Stardrop (Part 1/?)
A drabble about Kitae, mostly from his mother’s point of view.
If anyone were to look at the twins, they might be able to notice similarities. It’s the moment they open their mouths that it’s different. Sieun is loud, boisterous, no fear. She lights up a room without effort. Kitae is different. He’s born a quiet baby, to the point Seunghee worries if something’s wrong with him. And perhaps his bond with his mother stems from there, from being protected a little more. Not that she didn’t protect Sieun, but it seemed that their little stardrop needed a little more encouragement. When he hits two and still isn’t flying while his sister is fully in flight, Seunghee brings this up to Illhoon. He should be flying by now. Determining that their child is flight delayed isn’t the problem to Seunghee as much as is the way Kitae’s little voice asks “Kikay no fly?”
But he does fly. It takes several times of practicing with Illhoon, but it’s not long before Kitae is flying next to his sister. She doesn’t worry about Kitae much in the flying department after that, but more in the emotional department. He’s a sweetheart, he’s clingy, he’s helpful to his friends. For a preschooler, at least. Entering the three-year-old class proves to be a bit of a bear. He’s a clingy child, hiding behind his mother’s legs while his twin sister excitedly runs into the room. It takes more time to pull him away, lots of reassurance, and a promise that “daddy’s going to pick you up later.” Which always seems to make Kitae light up.
The second week is when Kim Hyojin starts school, a bright boy and Lachlan and Byeol’s only child. He’s bright, talkative, babbling about the latest show he watched this morning during his breakfast and how he likes paw patrol. He takes one look at Kitae and makes the split second decision that Kitae is Hyojin’s best friend. “Kikay come! Paw Patwol!” By the end of the day when Illhoon and Lachlan pick their sons up, his teachers are talking about how Kitae and Hyojin were inseparable the entire day. It doesn’t change even through high school.
Seunghee watches her children grow up, as Sieun has her first heartbreaks and how Kitae is usually right behind to spend time with his sister. He’s so quiet still, even as a young man. His friends affectionately call him a homebody, and she notices that Kitae is usually at home with them. He knows how to cook, his room is pristine. Despite her urging, he always finds a reason to come home early to the point she wonders if he has social anxiety.
She teaches Kitae how to play guitar, watches him flourish as he learns. He proudly comes home with a fender guitar one day and tells her how he saved up all his money from doing tutoring sessions after school, and she wonders if she hadn’t been noticing or he’d told her and she hadn’t heard it. When Seunghee and Illhoon are called for a parent-teacher conference, they assume that Kitae’s done something wrong. When the teachers gush about him, she feels a swell of pride. He has top marks, he’s class president, he’s well liked despite how reserved he is. His teachers tell her and Illhoon that he came to defense of a female student and saved her life on his walk home from school the day before. Why hadn’t she known all this? This is what gets Kitae a trip to talk to a psychologist.
“He’s anxious, but so is any teenager who has a lot of stress on his shoulders.” The psychologist tells them. He’s quiet on the way home, reclusive when he ends up in his room later that day.

[kth] lavender honey ch. 8
note: this fanfic has multiple chapters, so please look forward to more!
lavender honey: kim taehyung x reader
genre: crack, fluff, college au, smut
word count: 3.6k words
>
lavender honey
ch 8: in which taehyung makes minji choose voilence, while jungkook makes her strip for him.
“My… my chances are rare, hyung. I might want to hold tight, the person I like, but... I can’t. Not when things are going well for her with the person she likes. I don’t want to be the person that ruins things for the one person I have the hardest time staying away from, you know?”
The person Taehyung likes?
You suddenly think about the time when you had come home and Namjoon was doing some revisions on a song Taehyung had written, about a girl. Back then, you thought he might have had too much strawberry milk and gotten emo enough to write some good shit for his assignment.
But hearing his words, you realize that he was genuine about what he was saying back then, and it makes your heart hurt a bit.
Who did Taehyung like?
Your heart hurts more as you listen to your brother’s sad little ‘oh’ in response.
Clearly, Namjoon isn’t the one you should be going to for advice.
Taehyung, for one, doesn’t seem to care.
“Like, what if Jin-hyung started dating a friend of yours? You would be sad, right, Hyung?”
“Well…. Yes, I would.”
“And if you find out that it’s someone close to you, that’s going to be even sadder, right?”
There is a moment of silence and you start to feel guilty about eavesdropping, so you decide to go downstairs to create some kind of ruckus so the two would know you were home and close the door, at the very least.
Before you’re able to go downstairs, you can hear Namjoon asking the very question bubbling in your head.
“The person you like is dating someone close to you?”
You’re not sure why, but you’re glad you didn’t wait to hear what he had to say.
---
“So. I need to survive another day with you, huh?”
Taehyung greets you the next day, and his words and actions don’t match at all, because he's holding out a cup of iced coffee for you as he takes his seat behind the library counter.
“I’m trying to finish the assignment we have due on Friday.”
“Oh? You still have a whole week for it, though.”
You open up a new tab on Google, trying to find more sites for citing purposes. “If it’s okay with you, I want to go collect the books on Friday after classes. We finish early on Fridays, remember?”
Taehyung raises an eyebrow, and it’s probably the gray shirt he has on that makes him look really, really attractively confused.
What in heckles is that even.
How does someone look attractive while they’re confused?
Library duty is kinda scary, it makes you find out more stuff about the male that you need to make points for the essay you’ll be collaborating with Seokjin; about all the other-worldly features of Kim Taehyung.
It’s either the shirt, or Minji is just extra horny today.
You decide that the former is a better option, so you go back to your laptop.
“We can go on Friday. We have to go to Daegu, Gwangju, and Busan too, right? We obviously can’t finish the entire trip in a day, so we have to stay the night-”
“Daegu.”
“Huh?”
“We’ll stay at Daegu. At my house.”
That’s kinda weird of him to say that out of nowhere, but you decide that he might just want the excuse to hang out with his family.
You give him an ok sign, and you find yourself smiling a little when you find him pulling out the same assignment sheet you’re working on, from his backpack, and then starting his own work as well.
A little before the borrowing time ends, students line up to take the books they are interested in, so you and Taehyung get a little busy. When the announcement for the end of the borrowing time is announced (in Taehyung’s ridiculously deep voice), you two decide to stay back at the library to finish your assignment before going home.
In fact, you are actually so immersed in finishing your task, that you don’t notice the time until someone taps your shoulder and you find Namjoon, a smiling Jungkook standing beside him.
“Hi, Noonim!”
Jungkook actually does try hard not to call you that when the others are around, but habits are habits, and you’re glad Namjoon and Taehyung don’t make a big deal out of it anymore.
“We’re all going out to eat, Hoseokie-hyung is giving a treat because it’s his birthday! We gotta eat as much meat as we can!” Jungkook announces happily, looking at you with a big grin. You give him a smile, glancing at Taehyung who has closed the lid of his laptop as soon as the two arrived.
“I think we’ve done a lot of work for one day, right? Let’s go?”
“What do you mean, for one day? I’ve finished my assignment.”
You stare at Taehyung in disbelief.
“The fuck?”
“Oh shit.” Namjoon says, making you glare at him. Only when you see Jungkook’s slightly bewildered face, do you realise you’ve probably cursed for the first time in front of the younger boy, and it makes your face heat up while you turn back to face Taehyung.
“How did you finish it so fast? And why are you staying here if you’re already done?”
“I’m an amazing guy, [Name]-ah. You need to give me a fuckton more of credit.” He has to say, cooly picking up his belongings and throwing them all into one big salad bowl (aka his hugeass backpack). “You weren’t done, so I was waiting for you.”
What?
While Namjoon and Jungkook head outside and Taehyung follows you after you pack your belongings, you ask him how long it has been since he’s finished his work.
“I think, 2 hours, maybe?”
“Why the fuck,” you hiss, “Did you not go home?!”
Taehyung looks a bit annoyed right about now, and you want to yell because how dare he have the audacity to look annoyed?!!!
“Like I said, I was waiting for you!” He yells, this time making Namjoon and Jungkook who are walking ahead of you also, to turn around to look at Taehyung. When he sees the two looking at him, Taehyung takes a deep breath and glances at you.
“Leave me alone and go with your little boyfriend.”
Then, he storms off, and Jungkook looks as blank as you feel like, and you don’t know how long you’d have stayed, watching Taehyung walk through the length of the hallway and disappear if Namjoon did not snap you out of your trance and asked you to hurry up.
Who pulled Kim Taehyung’s panties into a wad today?
---
Taehyung colors his hair black for the next day.
It’s so out of the blue, and the incessant way everyone makes a big deal out of it seems a bit understandable.
It really isn’t fair, how good the guy looks.
Yoongi hasn’t even finished that song he says he’s writing about a really stupidly attractive man, yet, and it isn’t fair because you really could use a listen to that song right about now.
Even while Jungkook - a really hot kid - sits right beside you, you can’t help but just stare in awe because honestly, there is nothing - human or extra-terrestrial creature included - that could beat the beauty and attractiveness that is Kim Taehyung.
Minji is shaking her head because a) How dare you say two words like  ‘hot kid’ that should never be even put together in the first place, b) Because Jungkook and you are dating, right? Or is it pre-dating? Does that exist? Wait a second-
“Noonim, I’m going with Jimin-hyung and Taetae-hyung to the arcade after classes are over,” he says, “Can we go on that date I mentioned tomorrow, instead?”
“What date?” Seokjin butts in out of nowhere, in the middle of taking a bite out of his grapefruit tart. “Is this why you asked me to stay out of the house until late at night tomorrow?!”
Seokjin, obviously, is a meathead, and a really dumb one, at that.
Multiple things happen at once.
The first one is Jungkook standing up from his seat so fast that he almost spills the bean sprout broth bowl on his tray.
The second one is all eyes turning to Seokjin, which in turn, makes the elder male’s ears turn bright red and him starting to mumble nonsense to himself like a lunatic.
The third one is Jungkook getting off from the bench and dragging Seokjin away from the lunch table, all while Hoseok, Hani, and Hyojin seem to be enjoying the entire ruckus.
Only when you glance at Namjoon do you remember that Jungkook had mentioned he has a roommate… and that roommate was Seokjin, himself.
“You’ve started doing what with Jungkookie now?”
“Shut up! He just asked me to go see his animations and paintings, what are you talking about, Namjoonie?!” You protest, eyes turning to Taehyung, who runs a hand through his hair, takes a final sip of his cola, and then heads out of the cafeteria - a pastel pink-haired Jimin running after him.
Namjoon blinks, and then continues to eat his food, much like Yoongi who sees and hears nothing because of the radio show he’s busily listening to while he gobbles up his lunch.
If only everyone was like Min Yoongi.
It’s ten minutes later when both Seokjin and Jungkook return, the younger one apologizing to you like crazy, even when Jimin comes back a while later, saying Taehyung had some assignment to complete beforehand.
“I don’t know about you guys, but didn’t I bet these two will get it on within a month?”
Apparently, Seokjin doesn’t know when to shut up, and you’re very glad Namjoon has already left by then and that Hoseok does the honor of punching the elder male in the back for spewing nonsense - which he claims is the truth.
This is going to be a long day.
---
You’re driving to college the next day with Namjoon only, for the first time in what feels like ages.
You’d been dreading questions about Jungkook that he might have, but it isn’t about the date you’ll be going on after classes today that worries Namjoon, but something else, entirely.
“My precious sister. We did promise that we would share our secrets with each other, did we not?”
“We did, my precious brother.” You play along, watching the little koala keychain hanging from the mirror inside the car.
“I am not going to question you about why or what you’re going to do with Jungkookie, that’s none of my business,” he starts. You shake your head, mouthing ‘It is, Namjoonie’, which makes your brother smile a little.
“Thank you. I’m not going to question it, because I know my sister well and I trust my little sister. What I’m only going to question is one thing. Are you sure of the choices you’ve made, till now?”
“What do you mean, Joonie?”
You watch as he scratches his head a little, not saying anything for a while as he steers along a few curves and stops at a red light.
“I’ve noticed that your thoughts have been wandering a lot recently.” He points out.
“I don’t get what you mean.”
“What I mean is, your mind seems like it’s always somewhere else, and that has not been the case when you first started going out with Jungkook.”
Has Namjoon been watching over you enough to notice that your mind always wanders all around the place, eventually landing on some stupid thought of Taehyung, in the end?
“It seems to me like you’re not really in love with Jungkookie, but someone else.”
You could swear you felt chills run down your spine because of the absolute bingo he had managed to make; Namjoon had a high IQ for a reason, that you realize then.
You manage to chuckle, shaking your head and waving it off. “That’s ridiculous, Joon-ah, I had a crush on Jungkook ever since we got introduced to each other by Jiminie.”
Namjoon doesn’t say anything, as if he doesn’t believe you - but this was the truth, even if your fraying thoughts only began much much later after that.
Perhaps it’s because you’ve arrived at the parking lot at college, that Namjoon decides to drop the subject, giving you a nod in response.
“Well. It turns out Kookie also liked you since back then. You’re my sister and I just want you to be happy, with whoever.”
It moves you, hearing that. You know that it must have been hard on Namjoon who not only finds out things easily, but over analyzes things he finds as well. It makes you smile, going around to Namjoon’s side of the car when he gets out after parking, and then giving him a big hug, right in the middle of the parking lot.
“Yah, Kim [Name]-ah, what are you doing?!”
“You don’t have to worry about Jinnie wondering if there’s something between us, he knows we’re siblings now!” You say, giving him a wave and running inside the campus before he can say anything else.
---
“And that’s the project I’m working on right now, Noonim!”
You can’t help but to give a big grin to the boy who looks very pleased with your positive reaction after he showed his animation work. Jungkook really wasn’t called the Golden Maknae for no reason, his animations were realistic and flawless, at least from your - a complete amateur’s - point of view. After you say this, Jungkook laughs, thanking you and saying that that is a very lovely compliment to receive considering most of the people who would consume whatever he produces would also be amateurs too, in the end.
His literal statement makes you laugh, and you enjoy the time with the male, your mind definitely not wandering as much as it did on your previous date. You’re glad it doesn’t, and you enjoy eating chocolate pudding and having the banana milk Jungkook prepared for you, while you go through all the lovely paintings and digital art the male had created.
“By the way, Noonim, can you take a seat over there?” He asks, pointing at the center of his bed. Minji has started to strip out of nowhere, and when you glance at Jungkook with wide eyes, you’re very surprised to see that he has taken a digital camera.
So he wants to take a picture of me sitting on the bed, not to start-
Okay, Minji, you need to get a toy or something because you’re being way too horny and there’s no other way we can calm you down.
You find yourself awkwardly waddling and taking a seat at the center of Jungkook’s bed - and gosh does it smell like a very boyish citrus over here - allowing the male to take a few pictures of you which he wanted.
“Okay, I got them. I can’t wait to start drawing you!!” He says, much like a little kid, and it makes your heart swell, holding your hand out towards him and watching him raise a surprised eyebrow, doe eyes wide while he slowly walks up to you. You can tell he is nervous by the way his ears have become a little red, and the fact that he had dimmed the lights and turned on a warm light for your picture does not help.
“Y-Yes?”
You give a smile, watching him place his camera on the side table carefully before he walks back, slowly intertwining your fingers. His nervousness shows in the way he looks down at your hands every three seconds, unable to keep eye contact for long. It’s so adorable that your heart becomes warm, mumbling a little ‘Jungoo?’ barely enough for him to hear.
“Yes, N-Noona?”
“Why did you ask Seokjinnie to not come for a while?”
Now, Jungkook refuses to look you in the eyes even for a second, his cheeks turning beet red.
“Jungoo?”
“I… I never get to hold your hand like this unless we’re on a date…”
You can’t help but to smile up at him, tugging at his hand so that he bends down a little, coming to face-level with you. Even before you put a hand on his face, you could tell that his cheeks were burning, and it makes your heart race because you simply can’t get over how adorable he is.
Jungkook closes his eyes and you kiss him on the nose, gently, and that makes him open his eyes a little startled.
When you end up bursting into a smile, despite the serious look on Jungkook’s face, it seems to make the boy less nervous, chuckling a little before he sits down beside you on the bed.
“What did you expect, Jungoo?”
“You enjoy teasing me a lot, don’t you, Noonim?”
“That’s what you get for calling me Noona.”
Jungkook bursts out laughing, shaking his head. “I shall not make that kind of mistake again.”
You find yourself smiling, and your heart has stopped racing, now feeling more comfortable around Jungkook. Even when he smiles and leans in to kiss you, you close your eyes, kissing him back, so, so comfortable that you don’t even notice until Jungkook leans away, that one of your legs have gone over his thigh and he is looking at you with wide eyes.
Holy shit . You’d always know Jungkook was a muscle-y kid because his jeans always fit him in all the right places, but it’s a different thing when you can actually physically feel that under your own thigh-
“You did lock the door, right?”
Jungkook looks baffled at your question, his jaw dropping open, but he still nods in response.
“No one else will come, right?”
The male closes his mouth, still very startled but nods again.
“Then we could do this a bit more, right?” You ask, and his response is faster this time, nodding once again, a hand going behind your neck and pulling your face to his. You can feel his tongue on your lips, and you part and let him in, suddenly feeling very uncomfortable sitting with one leg over his. It felt like Jungkook felt the same way - and this is where you learn about the mighty strength he has - when he wraps an arm around your waist, completely pulling you onto his lap.
Not only has Minji finished stripping by now, but she has also put on her finest lingerie now.
You’re actually very, VERY startled by this action, so much that you break away from the kiss, looking at Jungkook with wide eyes.
Suddenly feeling embarrassed, you look away from his eyes, a down at his neck. There is a sheen of sweat forming on his neck, and his white shirt has stuck to his skin a little by now.
Oh God save me.
“Noonim…”
“Mmm?”
“Should I let you go?”
The way he says that, the way he words it, sounds so, so sad and you wonder how you can tell him that you were simply embarrassed, nothing else.
And you can’t think of anything to say, so you close your eyes, grabbing his face and kissing him on the lips, heart racing at how brave you were feeling out of nowhere. Was it because this was Jungkook’s room, because you knew no one else would be around?
Or is it because it was Jungkook, both his hands hugging your back, pulling your body so close to his that it’s almost too embarrassing to bear, kissing you like this might be his last chance to do so?
Whatever it is, you find yourself opening your eyes, slowly pushing him back and watching the way his eyes go wide when he falls back down on his bed, pulling you along with him.
For a minute, neither of you do anything, and it looks like Jungkook took a minute to get over his initial surprise, because he wraps his arms - which are already around you - much tightly, rolling over so that he’s the one looking down at you while you look up at him.
And this is so much more embarrassing, because now you don’t even have anywhere else to look, because Jungkook is just so, so, so damn close, and you find yourself closing your eyes, not knowing what else to do.
“Noonim.”
“Mmhmm?”
“Look at me for a bit.” Jungkook whispers softly,  and you open your eyes, to see his face a little further away, eyes closed while he takes in deep breaths.
“Noonim. I like you so, so much.”

Definition of softy🌼|CAN I STEP IN : EP3" + more thoughts on character establishment for Sibling!Hyojin
youtube
Man this episode is really gold and exactly fits to what I can think off for Sibling!AU (should Hyojin is EFSJ by some source)
Main reason I did not include this kind of headcanons is because I tried to stay genderless so that my readers can be more flexible. Also cos my hcs are more to the essential parts. Like your sibling won't do bf type of actions right? So the video of the webdrama is just a reference to elaborate more for sibling au.
Like i established in the double Kim's household hc, He definitely gonna help you adjust your yourself new fam. Definitely going to be aware of needs of his side and your side of family.
Pasta thing is oblivious so I am gonna let it slide
But it did confirm a thing, even if others had a notion to do something but shy to initiate it, he will be the one to initiate (of course, after a proper observation and thoughts because let's not forget he is also a Taurus sun and Virgo moon)
So I dunno if the scriptwriter tried to include some real life aspect of Hyojin personality? Or its just pure coincidence. Cos Idk the characters all have a slight bit of their real life trait that's why they seems comfortable with their role.
(Sorry I am sensitive in this part because I studied some script and story writing in my uni days so,thinking deep about the behind the scenes is inevitable habit)
Like how Changyoon/Taejun might at first looks intimidating but then is a huge soft fluff hamster shark. And then Minkyun/In Guk might look like the carefree younger brother type exact similar role/vibe he has in ONF.
BTW seeing him interacting with Alex makes me wanna yell at him go get your self a girlfriend and find love of your life, cos you deserve to be happy. ONF deserves to be happy. End of the story and no arguments allowed.

WE FINALLY DID IT!
Tumblr media
Summary: Hyojin is called to the ceo's office, he has some news to share.
Characters: Kwon Hyojin, Rowan Kim, Kamlai Suwannarat, Moon Nayeon, Lee Sujin, Qian Chang Chang and Kim Gyuwook.
Warnings: Hyojin is quite anxious about the fact of getting called to meet the ceo and thinks about the worse.
June 11th, 2019, KQ's practice room.
❝Okay, let's rehearse!❞ Hyojin said with a smile in her face, clapping her hands. The monthly evaluation was close and, as always, they had to be more than great. The leader almost never pressures the other girls, though, being strict doesn't always work, so she wanted to give the best leadership in her point of view. But, of course, sometimes, she has to give a little push so they can get more focused.
It was asked for them to remix a famous girl group song and give our own sound to it. The six decided, after reaching an agreement, to do their version of Wonder Girl's So Hot, being Hyojin responsible for the rearrangement. She turned the speaker on, ready to press play and begin the song, but, before she could do that, one of the company's employees opened the door, making her immediately freeze.
❝Kwon Hyojin, could you please come to the ceo's office? Thank you.❞ the man said, waiting her outside.
For a second, the girl's heart got out of her body and came back, she was scared, how she was scared, she didn't know what to expect beside what she feared the most. She bowed to the staff and turned to her girls, who stared at her with a worried look. ❝I'll be back in some minutes. Rowan, could you lead the rehearsal while i'm away, please? Thank you.❞ the korean-american did a yes signal with her head. Hyojin, then, walked fast to the exit, with a lot of thoughts filling her head.
She could already imagine jokes in her head, the first trainee to join the company and the first one to leave, it was almost ironic. She thought, while following the staff to the ceo's office. Or maybe it was something less worse, something like the instructors think she did a horrible job in the remix, forget it, it was just as bad.
When they arrived, the staff opened the door to the office. ❝You can go first, i'll be right behind you.❞
That type of sympathy only made her more suspicious and nervous, as she entered the office, she looked around, the last time she visited there was to sign a trainee contract, and now, she didn't know what to expect.
But, this time, it was strangely more packed; in the couch in the right, EDEN, her producing teacher, was sitting, in the couch in the left side, there was the male staff from before, which was a unfamiliar face, by the way. And, looking at the center, there was Kim Gyuwook, the company's ceo.
And then, another plot twist came. While reading his expression, he didn't look angry, disappointed or cold. He actually looked, in some way... Proud?
What was happening? It was all that could go through her mind at the moment. Not understanding the situation she was in anymore. She didn't know if her inability to speak was due to fear or confusion. The ceo was looking at the red cd packaging she'd recognize anywhere, not because of the titles written in black marker and bad caligraphy. That red packaging was her signature, the way to identify her demos among the others, a trick she had since she entered the company.
❝Eden showed me some of the new songs you're working on.❞ the ceo said, with a tone in his voice that showed interest. Hyojin glanced at Eden, who just gave her a little smile and a look that said just wait and see.
The man analyzed her a little, then looked back at the demos in his table. ❝Latata is a unique song, in a good way.❞ Hyojin was damn surprised by that phrase. ❝You are really a gem, aren't you? All of you are, we trained you girls pretty well.❞
She glanced at Eden one more time, was this really what she was thinking it was or it was a illusion made by her dreams? She looked back at the ceo, who was trying to hold his amusement from her reaction. ❝I have a proposal for you six. A project, actually❞
He put a set of papers in the table, there was KQ GIRLZ written in capital letters in the middle, Hyojin didn't say a thing since she entered the room, she just didn't have words, but now, fortunately, it was from a good shock.
❝A predebut project following to debut, finally becoming idols as the six members of Artemis. Having Latata as your title track.❞ Hyojin felt like she was going to cry from happiness at any second, but she managed to hold it in front of the ceo. ❝The man you're seeing on your left will be the group's manager, Choi Byeom-Seok.❞
❝It's a pleasure to meet you, Hyojin. I look forward to working with you and the other girls.❞ The man said, extending his hand, which Hyojin excitingly shaked, before looking at the ceo one more time. ❝Please, get the other girls here so we can discuss contract terms, you can go now.❞ Gyuwook smiled.
❝Thank you so much to this oportunity, we promise to not disappoint you!❞ the leader bowed endlessly until she left the room, walking in fast steps to the practice room, while letting some tears of happiness out. Opening the door, the members stopped rehearsing on the spot, looking even more anxious with the view of Hyojin crying. But then, she left a incredibly loud scream of excitement. ❝We're debuting, all of us six, together!❞
❝This is not a prank, isn't it?❞ Sujin said, in shock, while Hyojin looked a her with a i swear to god i'm not lying expression.
And then, all of the members had all reactions at the same time. Jumping, screaming, crying, everything. Hyojin ran to them and started a group hug, all of them still shocked at the news.
They finally did it, they were one step away of their biggest dream being complete. And, now, they were hoping for only good things for the future.

mots démoniaques, 2 | excoriate
Tumblr media
▽ Pairing: Taehyung x Reader
▽ Genre:  [mythological!AU, demon!AU] | Angst, Eventual Smut, Romance
▽ Summary:  You can sense from miles away the sin that dances on his tongue, the words that he so loves to shape into sinister thoughts and morph into sickening outcomes aimed at tainting and wrecking all things mundane and innocent. Kim Taehyung - a voice of honey and features of a cherub - is nothing but a monster. He has lived millenniums, yet, he has never found such a fascinating creature as you are and polluting your very being has slowly become his entire life motive.
▽ Word Count: 5.456 words
▽ prompt word: excoriate
▽ AN: The Amanojaku is a small demon that finds its roots in the Japanese folklore. Everything besides his name and his power - aka the ability to instigate people into wickedness with his words - is entirely the fruit of my own imagination and doesn’t have anything to do with the original myth.
▽ ▽  WARNINGS: non-consensual acts are performed through the story  (not intercourse), use of alcohol, metaphors that allude to physical violence and pain, swear words.

“Still upset about Monday, I take it?”
Nausea fills your stomach as you toss and turn in the tangled mess that were once your bed sheets. His voice of honey keeps ringing in your ears even hours after his disappearance.
Rationally, you are aware that Taehyung is nowhere to be seen, probably miles and miles away from your apartment doing God-knows-what to corrupt innocent souls of fellow human beings. Your heart, though, refuses to calm down and so does the rest of your body, tense and shivering in the darkness of the room.
You have been playing this game of turning on and off the light for literal hours and the deepest part of you, the most pride-filled one, refuses to turn it on again and succumb to this nonsensical fear lodged inside your chest.
With one simple question, Taehyung has stirred awake the memories you so hardly tried to repress in the past few days. You have tried to forget, to let go and move on, to put this behind you just like many other things in your past but, alas, it has all been in vain. It took him only a second to break down the walls you had so carefully rebuild around yourself and throw you back into those atrocious moments.
Your mind drifts to last Monday night for the hundredth time tonight and, before you can stop yourself, you are re-living every dreadful instant of it.
The bracelets around your wrists tingle as you walk through the apartment, desperately searching for your car keys before you are far too late to the dinner for it to be acceptable.
The night is pretty chill and the breeze evokes goosebumps on your skin as you practically run to your car whilst hugging yourself in a vain attempt to keep yourself warm.
Admittedly, you did choose a dress far too short and far too light for the current weather but it does hug your curves to perfection and that was a compromise you just had to make.
A few years have passed since you were still in college, trying to jungle yourself between exams and a part-time job and a very demanding boyfriend. Many things have changed since then, including you.
Something that hasn’t changed, though, is your need to impress the people around you, especially the ones you do care about.
Tonight it is one of those nights where you wish to prove yourself not only to those people but, most importantly, to yourself.
Many things that could have gone wrong since college did, in fact, go horribly but your job tonight is to show them all that, despite it all, you still came out not only alive but victorious.
Despite your doubts, you manage to arrive at the restaurant perfectly in time and with a deep smile stretched on your face, you enter the restaurant to greet your former friends from college.
It is odd to realize that you need a few long seconds to associate their names with their faces; it is also weird to have a hard time recognizing some of them now as if a lifetime has passed since the last time you’ve seen each other. In a certain way, it has.
Those people, those faces that were once familiar and as dear to you as your own family almost feel like strangers now and it makes your heart squeeze in sadness. How volatile are human beings and their feelings for each other? You would have easily given your life for some of these people back then and now... Now you don’t even know how’s their life like.
You do not voice out any of those thoughts though, in fact, you act as if not a single day has passed since graduation, as if you all had been talking not too many hours ago about the most random things.
You rejoice in how those faces light up in recognition as you approach them, you relish in the sound of their voices and the feeling of arms engulfing you in a brief embrace. It is warm and it almost feels like homecoming.
Your heart swells as your old best friends fill you in on their lives, as they show you pictures of little kids you had no idea existed prior to tonight and even though a little part of you envies them, you are quite happy for the way their life turned out.
You do notice that they’re all very careful not to pry into your life. His name never gets mentioned in those conversations and you are immensely grateful for it. You all know this was supposed to be you: happy and married with a cute pair of kids running around the house. There had been a time when everyone expected you to be the first one to achieve the dream life—well, your version of it at least—and succeed in every aspect of it. Of course, back then, nobody had any idea of how surprising and cruel life could be.
You can see in their eyes the hint of curiosity that sparkles there, the hesitation into asking what they all want to know and hear from you: what truly happened? But you cannot tell them. You can’t tell the truth and you don’t even want to, not that they’d believe you even if you decided to, of course.
Hyojin opens her mouth after a few seconds of silence and you can already anticipate the question that will roll off of her tongue. She was always the bravest and most curious one of your group, after all.
The question, though, remains stuck in her throat as the man of the hour approaches your table, a little grin spread on his gorgeous face.
“Taehyung...” you whisper out his name before you even realize it and when you do, your cheeks seem to catch on fire alongside with the rest of your body.
Of course, he’d show up. How could he ever miss the occasion to be the center of attention and torture you, all at the same time?
A part of you suspected it, a part of you hoped to be wrong and even though you’d never admit it out loud, a part of you even wished for him to be here tonight. Why? Because that tiny part of you still had feelings for the monster standing before your very eyes. Even after all he had done, a sick and twisted part of your heart still wanted to beat only for him.
Your eyes are glued on him as he takes the last final steps to your table and takes the seat right across from you, feigning an innocence that does not belong on his face in the slightest.
You can sense the eyes of your former friends on the both of you as you greet each other and it takes all of your best effort to not look at any of them and break the facade of the unfazed ex-girlfriend.
The air is tense all around you even after everyone at the table resumes their conversations and goosebumps gather on your skin every single-damned-time Taehyung even hums in response to someone else. His proximity, the way his eyes land on you every now and then, the fear that clutches your heart every time he opens his mouth are almost too much to endure but you do push through and that is your first mistake.
You should have left before it all went downhills, before it became too much for you to handle without a little help, before you allowed some of your walls to come crumbling down. But you don’t leave, even if your heart is begging you to do so and that is simply because you are stubborn, and pride. Oh, so fucking full of pride.
The drink suddenly clutched in your right hand feels heavy and doubt fills your mind as you recall how much easier is to fall for Taehyung’s spell once your mind is already hazed by alcohol but even still, you gulp it down quickly hoping that the burn will ease up your nerves a little bit.
If someone would ask you right then and there what you had been talking about for the last couple of hours, you would have no idea. You know you have been talking the whole time, feigning interest in listening to your former friend’s stories and anecdotes from a life distant light years from your own, but you do not retain a single word that has been said to you or that left your mouth, for that matter.
Your mind is too focused on Taehyung and the effort of not focusing on him to allow anything else to settle in.
It is then that you make your second mistake. A few drinks have passed and gone down your throat in the meantime and you’re already feeling a little bit unsteady on your legs as you stand up. That should have been your cue sign to leave and retire to the safety of your own four walls.
Instead, when the guys suggest bringing the dinner party to a club you all-too-quickly jump on the ‘yes’ wagon and tag along with them.
It doesn’t even properly register in your mind that this is definitely not a good idea and, most importantly, you fail to notice the fact that most of the girls have declined the offer—most of them out of obligation towards their kids more than anything else, really.
Also at that point in time, you fail to catch on the fact that Taehyung, the wicked demon you’ve come to know and hate in the past few years, has let slip through his hands the chance to coax these girls into going anyway. It is what he does best, after all: induce people into wicked things they wouldn’t normally do, stir up drama and bring pain to lowly humans, slowly bringing their souls into eternal damnation.
That should have been your red flag. If Taehyung could pass up an opportunity as succulent as that one it could only mean he had a far worse scheme up his sleeves. And of course, the center of that scheme had to be you: his favorite prey.
At first, nothing is out of the ordinary: people yelling at each other over the music, a few drinks being passed by between old friends, a few dances down the dance floor.
You let your guard down completely during this time frame, relaxed by the fact that even though your nemesis is standing there, barely a few inches away from you, everything is going smoothly.
It is exactly in this moment, as you sip on your Moscow Mule, that everything starts crumbling down.
You hadn’t noticed prior to this very second that the rest of your company had all went down to the dance floor or the bar to get another drink leaving you alone with Taehyung.
You’re made aware of his proximity the moment he takes a step forward and his body heat seems to radiate and engulf your entire frame.
His breath feels hot against your skin as he whispers right above your ear:
“Good evening, sweets.”
He chuckles as he quickly takes notice of the goosebumps that spread on your skin like fire and you hate how easy it is for him to read your body. If only you could do the same with him, if only you could peep behind those black as coal eyes and that smirking mouth, you could bring him down to his knees as easily as he can with you. But of course, it is only wishful thinking.
“What do you want?” Your words slice like knives in your mind but they come out in a confused slur when you pronounce them, retaining nothing of the angry or unfazed tone you wanted to deliver.
He laughs at your question and takes another step forward, successfully pressing his lean body on your back. If you had thought his proximity had made you warmer before, now you were feeling feverish hot. It felt almost as if he was awakening a dormant volcano in the pit of your stomach.
“I’m a little bit bored, aren’t you?”
A shiver shakes your frame as those words leave his mouth. The implications laced between them makes the question feel like a bucket of ice cold water over your flushed body. It renders even the gesture of gulping down the remaining of your drink without dropping the glass in your hand a great effort. Oh, how much you hate the ascendant Taehyung has on you and your feeble heart.
“Not particularly, no.” Your words are strained as you push them out, your heart beating fast in your chest as you desperately try to gain back some control, build up back those walls you let slip somewhere down the line. You are supposed to know better than this, you are supposed to know not to let your guard down around him but oh, you simply never learn your lessons right when they are about Kim Taehyung.
You’d never admit it out loud but even to this day, you still yearn for his touch, the feeling of his hands all over you and in your current intoxicated state, resisting him feels like a greater mountain to climb than you are possibly able to.
One of his arms circles your back as he slowly turns you around, forcing you to truly face him for the first time tonight. His free hand comes to your face then, his slender fingers pulling your chin upwards so you cannot escape the depth of his coal stare.
“Oh, but I think you are a little bit bored, standing here all alone, sipping on your drink.”
His words feel like warm honey on the tip of your tongue, melting as you gulp it down and scorching your very core and you know this feeling, you know oh-too-well what it means but you cannot fight it. Especially not when you’re not even sober, to begin with.
“Maybe you’re right,” you whisper, your body aching as you try to pull at your own consciousness and not slip into his words, the wickedness they are about to suggest.
“I think we should make it a little bit more entertaining for all of us here, what do you think, love?”
The endearing name makes your heart tumble in your chest and even though a little part of you hates him for it, the rest of you is so far gone there is simply no hope to see Taehyung for the monster that he is at this point. No, now, he is your God and you will inevitably end up doing whatever he wants you to do. You’re nothing but a puppet in his hands and there was a time when that felt great and it seemed like that was what loves was to be about. But it is not love and it is not great. It’s control that results in pain and heartbreak.
“How?”
Your voice is barely above a whisper and it would equal to silence to human ears in the loudness of the club but to the demon standing in front of you it is loud and clear and, most importantly, it is music to his ears.
His smirk sends a shiver down your spine for all the wrong reasons. There should be fear and dread there but, instead, the feelings have been swapped with expectation and adoration.
“I love your dress,” he says, whispering right in your ear and you shiver at the sensation, licking your lips automatically, still unaware that at some point they went completely dry, “Did you wear it for me?”
“Maybe”, you concede and in the morning you’ll remember this not even being a lie or your attempt to please him. It is nothing but the truth and it doesn’t matter how much you hate yourself for feeling like this or worse, for saying it out loud. The hate cannot erase the fact that you have picked your dress for him, just in case he really showed up.
He smiles and caresses your cheek with affection, his eyes shining once you lean into his touch and inhale deeply, trying to impress the smell of him in your senses.
“Then what do you say about making a show out of it?” He suggests after a few seconds and you open the eyes you hadn’t realized you had closed to peer into his.
“What do you want me to do?” You whimper out eagerly, your heart beating fast in your chest as you wait for his instructions.
He hums, pensive, and even in the state you’re in you can tell it is all an act to keep you waiting, make your heart throb a little bit longer waiting for him to open up his mouth again.
“I’d love for you to show them all what they are missing on,” he finally says, making you twirl around so he can take a good look at you in your form-fitting dress.
By instincts, you know exactly what he means, or maybe that is how his power works, maybe his thoughts really slip into your mind and turn into your very own. Maybe he doesn’t even need to speak those words out loud in the first place and all he needs to do is think them and your soul will be wrapped around his little finger.
You do not know how it works, really, what you do know is that it works every single time and before you know it, you start swaying your hips as you walk to the dance floor, careful not to bump into anyone that could stop you to try and dance with you. Tonight you are to be looked at, not to be touched.
You realize in that moment that the club choice was made by Taehyung and for a very purposeful reason: the club has four big illuminated platforms across the dance floor with a few dancers lined up there to keep people moving and having fun by putting up a show and that, that is your destination.
With no hesitation in your movements nor inside your heart and mind, you reach the platform right at the center of the club and smile up at the male dancer performing on it.
“Can I come up?” You say as loud as you can, mimicking your words with your hands to get your point across.
The look of stupor that falls on his objectively handsome face his fuel to the fire burning in your heart and once he extends his arms towards you, helping you up on the stage, you are far too lost in the excitement and adrenaline rush to realize the depth of what you’re about to do.
The male dancer introduces himself as J-Hope—which you assume to be his stage name—and you smile at him in response, swaying your body towards him as seductively as you possibly can.
“Well, nice to meet you, J-Hope,” you purr in his ear and relish in the way he evidently gulps down, taken aback by your shamelessness, “Let’s dance the night away, shall we?”
He doesn’t need you to ask him twice before his hands are carefully wrapped around your hips, guiding your movements to match the upbeat tempo.
You can’t see yourself in those people’s eyes but you know you are giving them quite the show. The dance feels sensual as you press your body onto the dancer’s and your chest seems to constrict a little bit further every single time the space between your bodies thins out to almost nothing at all.
His touches remain professional and purposefully driven by the desire to give a good performance rather than to seduce you but on your part, the effort is quite the opposite.
You do want him to put his hands on you, you do want him to kiss you and scorch your lips with his passion for everyone to see. What you want is to be desired, stripped naked and claimed right in front of everyone. That is the fantasy you’re aiming for, that is what would truly excite him.
You find his eyes in the crowd and for the first time you notice how many people have gathered there to watch you and the dancer behind your back.
This feeling of being watched, envied, desired or even judged by so many people is inebriating and it’s with this feeling swelling in your heart that you decide your next move.
You turn around to face the young dancer, startling him again for the third time tonight, and with a wicked smirk, you start twerking your ass for your public, not caring a single bit of the fact that your dress is riding up, exposing your butt cheeks to all of them.
You are barely aware of the phones that are being drawn out of pockets to record the scene, of the people’s eyes glued on you as they talk to each other about what they are witnessing or even of J-Hope, trying to salvage the situation before he is forced to call security and simply kick you out of the club.
The drawing point for him must be the instant you pull the dress up from your frame and kick it somewhere far away in the club, remaining in nothing but your underwear.
Almost as if you came prepared for the night, you sport a black laced set that barely covers the most important parts and the approval of the crowd comes in the form of whistles and excited screams that only seem to fuel you all the more.
You turn around for all of them to see, swaying your hips and spreading your legs to give them all a show they didn’t know they needed tonight.
With a glance to the crowd you notice your former-friends there as well, staring at you as if they don’t even know who you are and when that should make you realize what you are doing or at least make you feel shame for all of it, in that state of mind it only turns you bolder, more desperate to imprint this show in their memory for the rest of their lives. Be remembered by all of them, be the one they’d talk about from time to time even when they are old, recalling back to the days when they were young and wild. You want to be immortal for all of them.
With that thought recurring in your mind like a mantra, your bra falls off from you and you’re about to remove your panties and salute the last bit of self-preservation when the security finally reaches you and brings you off the platform.
The events of the night seem to become fuzzy at this point, maybe too chaotic for your own mind to process or maybe it is the demon’s power radiating all around you to control every single living creature inside the club.
You do know that you walk out of that club wrapped up in a coat that is not your own without the report for public indecency you deserve. Not even a strong warning or a fee to pay for it and you do know, that is all Taehyung’s doing.
It is him that walks you home, carefully guiding your steps so that you don’t fall and hurt yourself in the process.
It is also him that tugs you in your bed-sheets and lulls you to sleep, thanking you for the great show you gave him.
Tumblr media
Your eyes open and it is already Tuesday afternoon when you do so, at least according to your phone lying next to you.
Morning comes with your sobriety and the feeling of your head being split open by an unknown force.
Your eyes close right after you dare to look at your phone screen, the white light almost burning your retinas after so many hours of pure darkness. When you try to open them again you feel them pulse as they catch up on the light filtering through your windows and you grimace loudly, closing them for a few seconds once again.
When you are pretty much awake and ready to open them you quickly notice how sore your body feels, how bad your mouth tastes and, a few seconds later, your memories slowly start resurfacing in your consciousness.
You spring up from your bed as soon as the recollection of last night comes to you with the force of a tsunami. Your head spins with the sudden movement, the air gets kicked out of your lungs and for a moment you fear you may collapse. Maybe that would have been a gift from God: to indulge some more time in unconsciousness and forget yesterday ever happened.
You phone chimes from the bed right as you ponder the idea of simply returning back to sleep and postpone the inevitable, signaling you the income of a new text. With dread, you pick it to see who is it from and you are instantly met with hundreds of notifications sent to your number from last night up to this very moment.
Your eyes scan through the text messages quickly, deeming anything that doesn’t have to do with last night unimportant and a sigh of relief is about to escape your mouth when you dismally reach what you were dreading to find. A video.
One of your former-friends has created a group chat for your college group from last night and sent the video of you dancing and undressing yourself on the platform of that stupid club with a string of text attached to it. ‘Thank you for the great performance, ______ .”
Your steps are quick in the apartment as you rush to the bathroom, barely making it on time for your puke to hit the toilet bowl and not make a mess of the rest of the room, which would have really been the icing on the cake.
You cannot believe you did that. No, that he made you do that. And that there is one video proof of it. Hell, probably a lot more than a single one of them. And they’re probably online as well, available for every single person that wants to see it—and probably masturbate to it.
A new wave of nausea hits you at the thought and you spend the next hour crouched on the bathroom floor, your head propped up on your hand as your stomach churns and revolts every few minutes.
You feel gross, your body feels gross, even your soul feels gross.
You crawl inside your shower and let the water wash over you, scorching hot. All the sweat and the smell of vomit and alcohol get replaced by the feeling of being clean and fresh and perfumed but the water cannot erase how dirty you feel on the inside.
You have been scrubbing your skin for almost an hour now, trying to get rid of that feeling lodged inside your heart but you know, even if you could successfully excoriate your skin or even remove it from around your bones, the feeling of being soiled and disgusting would not withdraw from your soul.
It is after you realize this, after your skin has turned hot and sensitive to the touch, after these hours of pure misery and self-pity that you finally break apart.
The tears and the sobs erupt from you like a waterfall and not even the sound of the shower can successfully cover the one of your mourning.
The things you’ve said and done under the control of Taehyung’s words are simply one too many today and too much for you to handle them anymore. Last night was just another stone to the mountain of things he has made you do and that now you regret.
It’s in one of the darkest hours of your life, at the peak of your heartache, that he appears again in front of you.
You’re still wet from the shower, your face swollen from all the crying, and you have just stepped out of the bathroom in nothing but a bathrobe when you notice him sitting on your bed, his face neutral as he watches you.
“You,” you grit your teeth, bile filling your windpipe, almost strangling you from within, “You fucking son of a bitch!”
The scream that erupts from you scratches your throat and brings tears to your eyes but you do not relent.
Looking as fury itself, you launch yourself at him, nails pointing out to scratch every inch of his skin you can possibly touch. You want to rip him to shreds just like he has done with your whole existence, with your mind and soul. You just want, no, need revenge.
You land a hit to his face, a kick on his stomach and a spit right in his eye and some scratches all over the exposed skin of his head and neck before he manages to grab both of your wrists, reverse your positions and trap you down on the bed by straddling your hips with his own.
“Let me go, you bastard!” You squirm under his grasp trying to bite his arms and kick his legs with your knees but to no avail.
“I didn’t know you had all of this in you, sweets.”
His words sound taunting to you, working as fuel for your hatred and resentment for everything he has ever done or said to you ever since you’ve known him. This monster trapping you under his body was a man you once loved and now, now looking at him hurts like your body is being ripped apart by feral beasts.
“I hate you.” You say through gritted teeth, your words coming out as slaps across his face.
You notice the slight shift in his eyes, the semblance of an emotion hidden in his irises but he erases it far too quickly for you to be able to name it. But you hang up on it, seeing a tiny crack on his facade to aim at until he breaks apart just like you did, because of him.
“Do you hear me? I fucking hate you! You’re a monster and I will never forgive you. I HATE YOU!”
Your scream scratches your throat anew but it is not the cause for the tears gathering in your eyes. It’s the words you speak out loud and the way his eyes shift again for a split of a second, letting his regret and pain flash through those impossible eyes.
It’s the fact that they seem to turn into black pools as quickly as you recognize those feelings behind them, it’s the fact that his face is as immobile as ever and the fact that he disappears just like smoke once the words have settled in.
You don’t know why it feels even worse for him to be gone, you don’t understand how you can hate him and still yearn so much for him at the same time and as you lie in bed in the same position he has left you for hours, staring at the ceiling without knowing what to do with yourself and the confusing feelings swirling inside your chest, that you break apart once again.
You love him. No, you hate him. You will never forgive him, not this time. But even so, you will never truly forget him and that’s what’s really sad.

kdrama recs (◕‿◕✿)
Descendants of the Sun: This drama is about how the lives of a soldier (Yoo Shijin) and a doctor (Kang Moyeon) got intertwined several times. Even the supporting characters (Seo Daeyoung and Yoon Myeongju) had a fiery chemistry that tops a bunch of other Kdrama couples. Their songs (Gummy - You Are My Everything and Davichi - This Love) also makes the scenes ESPECIALLY cute and I burst from feels.
♡ Encounter: I just finished this one last week and it was craaaazy good omg. Despite the age gap in this drama, I felt that the main couple had one of the best chemistry out of most kdramas I’ve seen. So it’s about a tough and cold CEO (Cha Soohyun) who goes to Cuba for a business trip and meets a free-spirited and fun loving man (Kim Jinhyuk) who is at Cuba for a month long trip he worked really hard for a year at part-time jobs and saved up for. They have a fateful encounter in Cuba, and when they both go back to Korea, Jinhyuk finds out he receives the hotel job he applied for before he went to Cuba, and Soohyun just so happens to be the hotel’s CEO.
♡ IRIS: This drama is definitely one of my favorite dramas of all time. Kim Taehee is my favorite Korean actress of all time, and I loved her with Lee Byunghun. This drama is about a terrorist organization called IRIS, and how the NSS (similar to the CIA but in South Korea) is fighting to take it down. The action scenes are absolutely epic and tragic as well. This is definitely a must watch if you are into action.
♡ City Hunter: Ahh Lee Minho and Park Minyoung are definitely some of my favorite actors/actresses as well and they did an excellent job in this one. This drama is about how a son (Lee Yoonsung) plots revenge for the death of his military father which the government planned in secret. However, struggles arise as he falls in love with a bodyguard (Kim Nana) for people in political power.
It's Okay, That's Love: Gong Hyojin is yet ANOTHER one of my favorites haha. This drama is about a psychiatrist (Ji Haesoo) who struggles with the feeling of love, as she experienced her mother cheating on her father as a young child. She then meets a famous author (Jang Jaeyeol) who struggles with several issues from his past. They learn to overcome their issues together in this bittersweet drama.
Strong Woman Do Bong Soon: This drama is about a girl (Do Bong Soon) who inherits a superpower from her mother that gives her incredible strength. Her dream is to create a video game with herself as the main character. She has been hiding her power for her whole life, for the fear of being exposed, but circumstances caused her to accidentally use her power to fight a gang. A CEO (Ahn Minhyuk) of a game company nearby just so happens to see her strength and he hired her as a bodyguard.
♡ Legend of the Blue Sea: This drama is also one of my favorites of all time, close to IRIS. Jun Jihyun is another one of my favorite actresses, and Lee Minho is my favorite actor. It focuses on the life of a mermaid (Shim Cheong) who has legs when she walks on land, and when she goes back into the ocean, she has a tail. She meets a con artist (Heo Joonjae) while he is on a trip to Europe and begins to fall for him. Little did they know, their lives mirror the previous lives they had from the Joseon era. This drama definitely has the best storytelling/backstory out of all the dramas that I have ever watched.
Personal Taste: A classic! This is about a furniture designer (Park Kae-in) who has a tragic childhood and is very distant from her father. An architect, (Jeon Jinho), tries to befriend Kae-in in order to win a contest. He pretends to be gay in order to be Kae-in’s housemate and things get really intense.

It all starts with a drone shot of Seoul Arts High School, followed by the School of Performing Arts, and then Hanlim Multi Art High School. Unlike the previews seasons, these were the locations where the first round of auditions took place for the fifth season of the Mnet Global Auditions. Different news articles appear on top of the images talking about how this season is expected to be the biggest of them all and with a new format that’ll bring bag some highlights from the previews seasons as well. It’s right after that they show what appears to be an infinity of people confirming their presence inside the three different schools. Flashes of hopefuls auditioning go by the screen — singers, dancers, rappers — but it’s sped up, and when you can’t distinguish their faces any longer, the screen turns black.
There is color again when a new building is revealed. It is, actually, the old building home of the preview auditions, the CJ&M Building. The difference is that it is empty now with the lack of hopefuls standing right outside the door. Next is the image of an empty meeting room, and the public could already make their correct assumptions of who would be walking inside.
One by one, the CEOs of the Big 5 entertainment companies make their way inside the room. The image freezes when they walk inside so that they can be properly introduced with their name written below them in a pretty font. They’re Hyun Bin, who is in charge of Nova, So Jisub, who is in charge of Royal, Katie Lee, who is in charge of KT, Tiger JK, who is in charge of TRC, and Baek Jiyoung, who is in charge of Sphere. Each of them has their own seat at the table, and once the exciting song playing in the background fades away, the people are able to listen to the silence in the room.
“It’s a new season already.” Tiger JK comments, rotating his chair so he can look at all of the other CEOs. “That’s right.” Katie Lee replies with one of her sly smiles. “How many auditions will we have to watch today?” It’s Baek Jiyoung who asks, but all five of them are paying attention. One of the staff members notifies them there will be 100 contestants for them to get to know, and while some of them aren’t too obvious, the CEOs don’t appear too happy with this information. “Let’s get it over with then.” Hyun Bin hits the end of his pen against the table so that its end will pop off and then opens the file they were given.
Just as quickly, the scenes from the auditions return until they’re back to the schools, observing who will be the first one to appear. “Yo!” An excited man exclaims. It’s LEE HOHYEON giving the camera a grin. “My name is Lee Hohyeon,” as he spoke, he tapped the tag with his name on it. “It’s right here in case you forget it.” So Jisub slight shakes his head. “Did he just say ‘Yo’? Is this really how we’ll start this?” Followed by him, it’s KIM SEUNGMIN, who appears imitating different animals, including a pig, a cow, and a horse. “Oh my god, sorry, that was so embarrassing. I’ll just move onto the yo-yo.” While the boy prepares for his yo-yo tricks, Hyun Bin laughs a bit. “Does that mean the yo-yo isn’t supposed to be embarrassing?”
This is followed by a brief cut of their main skill performances, the first a rapper, and the second a singer. The CEOs who had commented before simply nod their head. They show a dancer next, LEE CHAERYEONG, who dances fiercely to her chosen song. After she’s done, the girl opens a smile. “She’s good,” Jiyoung says and the others nod in agreement. “Hello, I’m CHOI YOONA. I’m going to be performing a song I wrote.” So Jisub settles back on his chair. “She does look like a singer, doesn’t she?” Except, the girl starts to rap. Tiger JK chuckles in his seat. “I like her.” Hyun Bin looks at him for confirmation. “Do you?” And the other nods while his eyes keep focused on the screen.
“Hello, my name is JEON HEEJIN. Thank you for seeing me today.” She’s a singer, and her tone is clear. Katie Lee can’t hold herself but to exclaim. “The girls really are better this season, aren’t they?” A few other short clips are shown of HWANG YEJI, JO YURI, and ZHOU JIEQIONG. It’s the time to show a few of the more impressive boys. KIM HYOJIN is the selected singer between them, filling the small meeting room with his voice and the emotional song. PARK WOOJIN goes strong with his dance routine, showing a bit of a flip in the mood of the room. When his performance is cut, they show SEO CHANGBIN who raps along to his chosen song. “He modified the lyrics.” Hyun Bin points out, which then cuts to So Jisub saying something to Katie Lee. “Don’t you think the boys are doing pretty well, too?” The woman shakes her head slightly. “No.” And so the man nods without wanting to push on. “Okay.”
Some other shorter clips are aired as well of CHWE HANSOL, TAKADA KENTA, and YOON JEONGHAN. They let go of the interesting performances back to the parts that could make people question their decisions. “Why would he do that?” Baek Jiyoung asks while KANG HYUNGGU is showing putting a piece of lemon inside his mouth. The boy chews it apparently without a bother, but anyone who attempted such thing before would remember their regret. A cute girl appears on the screen saying something in japanese as her special skill. “Isn’t she japanese?” Tiger JK questions it, looking down at the file with KATO KOKORO’s name on it. “Why would speaking in your mother language be a special skill?”
There are a few more cuts of people’s chosen skills. KIM SEUNGHUN says he can kick the jegi 30 times without dropping it as it shows on his form, but after two kicks the object falls on the floor followed by the boy, who falls along with an accidental leg split. “Tada!” YANG JEONGIN exclaims as he reveals his hands had tiny clothes in them and then proceeds to dance but only with his fingers. KIM YEWON pulls a pack of tarot cards from inside her sleeve and then takes out the first card. “The Hanged Man.” She says and when they show the CEOs once again, they appear to be at a loss.
What follows is RYU HWAYOUNG and LEE NAKYUNG, both playing the piano. KIM WOOJIN, LEE JENO, and HUANG GUANHENG decide to go with a guitar. When SHIN YUNA appears, Hyun Bin widens his eyes slightly with the change of pace. “It’s not just a guitar now. It’s also electric.”
“Is this the last one?” Baek Jiyoung asks and one of the staff members confirms it. All of the CEOs exclaim at the same time. After 99 hopefuls, it was finally time to bring this meeting to an end. “Please show us a good one.” Katie Lee requests and so a boy appears on the screen. “Good morning!” He says with a peppy voice. When the song starts playing, he looks up with a grin. During the choreography, the boy shoots a heart at the camera. The lyrics are fitting for a show like this, and when he sings ‘hey you, hey you, hey pick me’, Katie Lee turns to Jiyoung to ask for his name. “It’s LEE SUWOONG.” When the song ends, he kisses his fingers and throws out a final heart.
The staff members are the one who starts clapping in commemoration of the end of this recording. Slowly, the CEOs get the energy to clap as well. “But they don’t even know what’ll happen, right?” Jisub asks and Tiger JK nods in return before speaking. “We don’t even know what’ll happen.” And the start of his laughter is cut because while this is done, the episode still has a lot to show.
So the screen shows something else now. It’s a brand new set, prepared for this special season. Words announce that from all the people who signed up, only 100 will be able to take on this stage today, but not all of them will leave as MGA contestants. The seating is divided with 50 on each side of the stage, and as the hopefuls arrive, they start to choose where to seat. Some come and sit together, while others are taking on this new adventure by themselves.
One of the contestants is shown in his interview, one of the new features of the show. He tilts his head, mouthing a big and silent ‘woah’. “Am I really here?” It’s KIM SEUNGHUN who speaks, and they split the screen into two to compare his true expression when walking inside and his attempt at imitating it. “That’s what I asked myself.” It’s a girl next, MIYAWAKI SAKURA. “I just remember this feeling of delirium. It’s definitely exciting to be here.” The editing team makes sure to show her entering in the set as well to show off how people were impressed by it. Except for one person, it seems. “Ah, isn’t it a bit much?” JO YURI asks, clicking her tongue and shaking her head.
Two boys are shown walking in together, KIM YUGYEOM and KANG HYUNGGU. They part ways when they get to the stage, though, one heading to the right side and the other to the left. “We agreed to sit on the right side of the stage.” Hyunggu, the one who went to the right, says during his interview. “When I sat down he was nowhere to be found?” When Yugyeom realizes his mistakes, the boy runs over to the place he had agreed to go. “It was so dumb.”
The camera then shows more people arriving. This time, those who had watched the show before may recognize some of them. JANG MOONBOK, SOHN YOUNGJAE, and WANG JACKSON are shown as examples of previews contestants who were the show another shot. “I don’t really understand what all these previous contestants are doing here.” It’s only a voice-over for the time being before they show you a girl you’ve probably never seen before. “I think… there are other people who could be using this opportunity, you know?” LEE NAKYUNG shares her piece of mind before the scene shakes and changes.
It shows KANG DANIEL walking inside, this time together with four other men. When the scene changes again, it’s to a previous setting. “I’m Kang Daniel. SNU student, former MGA contestant, and much more.” He smiles to the camera back on the first round of auditions. “What brought you back to the MGAs?” They ask him. “Can I say unfinished business?” The boy laughs. “Last time, it was just me and Sungwoon, but this year we’re bringing along some friends: the rest of our band, Empty Enigma.” The editing team shows scenes of the boy in the previews season, followed by the intense sound of what people usually associate with a metal band.
“We all performed under stage names and didn’t tell a soul who the people behind the band were. We still haven’t, really, until now. This is our grand reveal. This is our grand reveal. Surprise!” He throws his hands up for a moment. The one who appears next is the one in the same situation as him. “My major is crop science and biotechnology.” HA SUNGWOON says the words with easy and it doesn’t take too long for it to be compared to his speech from the previous season which was weirdly close to what the said. “What bring you back to the show?” They ask him as well. “I was eliminated?” He replies and tries to hold back a laugh. The screen continues split, and when the past shows his height being crossed out from 170cm to 167, this year he decided to go with 167.5cm instead.
The five men are sat down now all next to each other on their chairs. TAKADA KENTA, the one sitting in the middle, is the one to speak. “Oh my god, it’s Joohyun!” The camera zooms in on another previews contestant, BAE JOOHYUN. Kenta places a hand over his chest. “Ah, I’m starstruck!” And the editing team makes sure to place two arrows over the heads of the people sitting beside him, the two previous MGA contestants just like the girl herself. Unlike the other two, it’s already her third time on the show. She takes a seat close to them.
While the people keep arriving, Joohyun leans forward to talk to Daniel. “It’s going to be MGA8 by the time this is over.” He laughs. “MGA10. You gonna be on that one too?” And she pushes him. As it seems, previous contestants are not where the line stops. The next person to arrive is none other than CHOI MINHO, previously known as ROMEO, the ex-member of Sphere’s latest boy group, CONVEX. Scenes of their debut music video appear on the screen, followed by the news of the member’s departure. While rumors said it was because of a dating scandal, the official news only said it was due to personal reasons.
The camera shows some of the other people’s surprised expressions as he walks in, but, during his interview, the man doesn’t appear to be too worried or too serious. “I gotta say it feels a lot different from the last time I was doing this.” For those who forgot, and for those who didn’t watch, they show a few scenes of the man on the second season. “I gotta ask though… with all these chairs… any chance of playing musical chairs later?”
Finally, all of the hopefuls have arrived, and it’s time for the only 5 remaining seats to be taken. Instead, we return to the initial room, the small one with five people in it. “But they don’t even know what’ll happen, right?” So Jisub asks, except now Katie Lee who speaks right after. “So they don’t know we’ll be the judges?”
There’s an exciting song playing and, slowly, one by one the CEOs make their way onto their seats, the 100 hopefuls cheering for their entrance. The camera zooms in on KIM MYUNGSOO who has his jaw dropped, followed by NAM JOOHYUK who sports a similar expression. “I thought I was nervous before they walked in?” CHONG TINGYAN comments during her interview. “It got so much more intense! I noticed Hyun Bin-ssi looked really handsome.”
It’s CHOI YEWON who’s on the screen now. “Can I say my heart stopped? They were all so impressive, especially Hyun Bin oppa. I couldn’t take my eyes off of him.” Suddenly, it’s a relay of compliments. “Hyun Bin is as handsome as ever? How is that even possible?” HWANG YEJI says before it changes to someone else. “Hyun Bin is so handsome!” It’s KIM SEUNGHUN, the male representative in this Hyun Bin fan club. “This is not nice to say, but I hope they never film me next to him.” The popular CEO is shown seated, hearts floating around his head after all this show of affection.
The crowd is calmed again, and the camera focuses on Katie Lee this time, the one sitting in the center of the five. “Welcome, all, to the first episode of the Mnet Global Audition Season 5.” She pauses briefly for applause before continuing. “You’ll each have the chance to perform once on the stage in order to impress us, the judges, and secure your spot on the show. I wish you the best of luck and let us start.”
A girl makes her way to the center of the stage. She’s about to become the first performance to be aired on this season. “Hello, lovely CEOs,” she greets. “I’m JO YURI, and I’m… very excited to get to perform in front of all of you today. I hope you enjoy.” Heavy drums and brass come through the sound system, starting off the season with a big impact. It’s a song straight from a musical, declaring that anything the people were going to show after her, she could do better. She holds a long note and the CEOs look content. As one of the examples shown before between the talented girls of the season, Yuri puts what she’s worth to be judged.
“Hello, I’m SHIN RYUJIN. I will dance and rap for you today.” It’s another girl next, and if the song she’s chosen isn’t known to most, it is most certainly known by one of the judges. Choosing one of Tiger JK’s songs to perform in front of him is risky, but it’s not like she could have known. She’s followed by LEE JAEYOON, who shows off his vocals, followed by KIM WOOJIN, who sings and plays his electric guitar at the same time. MYOUI MINA also chooses to sing, as well as CHOU TZUYU.
JUNG EUNJI makes her way to the stage. “I did debut, but it didn’t go well.” She says during her first interview and lets out a laugh. “You probably haven’t even heard of the group’s name, it was so bad. We never made it to music shows. I thought it was over after that, but a friend convinced me to give it another shot. So here I am.” She shrugs, and suddenly we’ve returned to the stage. Now, she only keeps her head down for a moment before her chin raises high, a powerful walk to kickstart her powerful performance.
It’s a tough act to follow, and the next performances pass by quickly. There’s HUANG GUANHENG, KIM SEOKJIN, and the tarot card reader, KIM YEWON. Soon, comes LEE CHAERYEONG, one of the people the CEOs had their eye on previously. She dances excitedly to one of the more complex girl group songs. There isn’t too much time for the performance to get boring because, out of nowhere, the song changes into a new one by a boy group, giving her a new and intense concept.
“Hello!” A new hopeful wiggles her fingers in a greeting smile youthful and bright. “My name is HEO YOORIM.” Baek Jiyoung turns to the man beside her, Tiger JK, to comment something while the girl gets ready. “She’s tall, isn’t she?” And the other can’t help but agree. Written on her profile is 174cm, the tallest girl in the competition. She performs a mashup of two powerful songs, showing what she got. YOON JEONGHAN takes on the stage next. He chose a powerful ballad, and while it contrasts with the other performances so far, it’s a good change of pace between some of the kids who tried to appear cool.
Next is a man who introduces himself as KANG YEOSANG. “I prepared a song written about a good friend of mine. Thank you.” He starts by singing the emotional song done by himself, but, once the first few verses are over, he shows that he can rap as well. There’s a serious expression on his face when he’s done which quickly shifts into a grin a few seconds later. The rest of the contestants clap, and the camera zooms on KIM SIHYEON while she wipes her eyes and cheers for the boy she had been sitting beside.
A few other performances go by. “Why does it feel like the last five people couldn’t do anything right?” Hyun Bin asks while there’s a collage of dancers tripping and singer forgetting their lyrics or missing a note. There’s a tired look on the CEO faces, as anyone should be feeling having to sit there for so long. “Please, send us some help.” Baek Jiyoung exclaims just in time for the next performance.
“Hello! I’m SONG YUQI,” she says with a smile. “I hope I can make you smile today!” And she does so. Her song choice is an old american hip hop hit but it’s exactly what was needed to bring the mood back up. If that wasn’t enough, the one who comes next will certainly cheer you up. CHOI YEWON decided to prepare a cheer routine for her performance. While she does her neat gestures and tricks, the lyrics are dedicated to her dream company, Nova. “Who’s gonna make Yewon a star? Nova!” It’s enough to make the CEO of the company grin. A small flashback reminds the public of Yewon being one of the people who complimented Hyun Bin at the start of the show, so she should be happy with such achievement.
It’s a boy’s turn now, his name announced once, but after no response, they say it again. “WATANABE HARUTO.” Someone raises a hand from the seats, exclaiming “Ah, over here.” The screen takes you back in time to when people are still arriving at their seats and the camera pays attention to the boy when he says “I can do it” in japanese. He leans forward, doing something to his feet, but the camera isn’t able to capture it until it’s his time to perform. The boy struggles to get down the stairs because he’s wearing skates on his feet. “This is one of my old routines.” When the song starts to play, he shows impressive skills as he controls the skates almost perfectly. It’s truly not until he’s done that things go downhill.
Haruto kept bowing and waving while he returned to his seat, but the boy wasn’t nearly paying enough attention to where he was going. So, the boy falls off the stage, and all the eyes on the move in his direction to see what’s going on. “Is he ok?!” JANG MOONBOK asks from his seat before the screen shows some other people laughing at the situation, such as KIM SEOKJIN and LEE HOHYEON. “Didn’t he fall on his first audition, too?” So Jisub points out and it was true. The editing team makes sure to show the public as the boy trips simply by walking before. “I’m okay!” He says in the present, and successfully makes his way to his seat.
This leads to a new montage, highlighting some of the trips and other situations of the day. They show IM YOONA as she falls on her way to the stage instead of after she was done. HA SUNGWOON appears to struggle as he takes a keyboard he brought from home all the way to his chosen seat. It’s CHOI YENA who wins the prize, however. She does trip, but once her arms are moving forward to catch herself, the girl turns it into a somersault and lands safely on the stage. “Good day, y’all! My name is Choi Yena and I’m here to entertain!” The girl came prepared with a dance routine, all while she sang along to the English lyrics. It’s a toll on her voice at some points, but her role there was to entertain.
KIM HYOJIN walks over to the center of the stage, this time without anyone falling. “Ah, hello, I’m 21 years old Kim Hyojin,” and he holds up two fingers on one hand and one finger on the other with a soft smile. He appears next seated so he can play more properly play the guitar and his girl group song mixed with the american song lives up to the expectations. Who comes next is JEON HEEJIN who, just like Hyojin, had been used as an example before. “I’ll be singing for you today. I hope you enjoy.” She chooses to play the guitar as well, singing along to a sweet song.
A few more performances pass by briefly, including the ones by LEE KIKWANG, KIM SEUNGMIN, LEE JENO, and LEE COCO. One of the people who were already shown comes next, KIM SIHYEON. “Hi, do you see me? I’m Sia Kim!” She tries to make a play in words. “Hopefully today, I’ll be able to show you something different than what you’ve seen of me.” The chosen song is strong and energetic, and the girl sings in confidently. “I wanted to show a different part of myself,” Sihyeon says during her interview. “I hope the CEOs can see that.” LEE SEOYEON appears after, singing a song herself. She puts a lot of effort in her singing, and overall delivers a solid performance.
Coming next, it’s a foreigner with a cute appearance. “MIYAWAKI SAKURA. From Australia!” She says excitedly. While she starts her song by singing, the girl surprising delivers the rap portion which is most of it. She takes a bow when she’s down and waves at the CEOs and other contestants before leaving. It’s a good wake-up call not to judge a book by its cover, something they had already done before. “Hello, I’m CHOI YOONA.” Says the, now, known rapper. “The piece I’m going to perform for you today is a little something I wrote and produced. I hope you enjoy.” The lyrics are what is expected for a show like this, and the beat keeps you moving while you listen to it. “Thank you, again.” The girl says before leaving, her role there asserted.
The one who stands on stage now is another rapper, this time one you’ve actually seen before. “Hello, I am JANG MOONBOK! I hope I’ll leave a better impression on everyone this year.” The scene changes back to the first round of auditions during the boy’s interview. “It was very embarrassing to be eliminated when I was. I want to showcase how much I have improved since then.” He performs a song made by himself, moving across the stage as he does so. SOHN YOUNGJAE goes next, nodding to each CEO before introducing himself. He shows off a dance performance, trying to renew the image of him
“Hi, I’m KANG DANIEL.” Says the next contestant with a smile. “You may remember me. If not, hopefully, you will from now on,” and he leans away from the mic to adjust it, quickly returning once he realizes something. “For good reasons, I hope.” He laughs before introducing his original song. Daniel plays his guitar while he sings meaningful lyrics. The performance order goes on with the rest of the band, this time showing the other famous member. “Hello, my name is HA SUNGWOON. I didn’t think we would meet again so soon.” The same keyboard he had struggled to bring is assembled in front of him, and the boy uses it to assist his performance.
There are three others to still truly reveal themselves. They show TAKADA KENTA first, and as most aspiring dancers think like, he chooses to perform a Jun song. HWANG MINHYUN is the fourth, singing and dancing to a popular song, and even sparing some time to shoot a heart at the female judges. It’s the fifth one that may ring a new bell from the showcased hopefuls at the start. “Hello, I’m PARK WOOJIN,” he bows. “Please enjoy my performance.” He gets to not only show off his dancing skills but that he can sing as well. They clap as he leaves, completing the band pack.
Some more hopefuls get their brief spotlight such as RYU HWAYOUNG, KATO KOKORO, and CHONG TINGYAN, followed by KIM HYUNJUNG, YANG JEONGIN, and MOON TAEIL. A girl takes the center stage, a coat covering the outfit she’s wearing below it. “Hello! My name is LEE NAKYUNG! Thank you for having me here.” She bows down to the judges and before she signalizes that she’s ready, she takes off her coat, throwing it to the side. Beneath it is a red sequin dress, one that matches the theme of her song. She dances energetically throughout the song, sings along to the lyrics and only stopping for the dance break. The ending pose is the same as the start and the girl needs to shamely walk over to pick up her coat before returning to her seat.
“Hello, I’m KIM YUGYEOM.” The next performer introduces himself. He’s a dancer and shows an exciting and upbeat routine. His friend goes next, KANG HYUNGGU, and he’s a dancer as well. It’s a different vibe, but still exciting and upbeat following his chosen popular song. After him comes SHIN YUNA, this time with something rather unique. “I’ll be performing ‘Baby Shark’. Are you ready to be dazzled?” And that is exactly what she does, albeit a trap remix of the original children song. She’s a dancer like the two before her, and, after she’s done, Hyunggu appears again during his interview. “Can I be frank?” He starts. “I wouldn’t say it was terrible, but I hated it. And… it was terrible.” It’s the girl’s turn now, about to receive the news of the comment. “So we got a quote from your cousin, Kang Hyunggu, and he said that he hated your performance.” Yuna automatically looks annoyed. “Hyunggu oppa said that? He says that I was terrible. He should recheck his prescription because his performance wasn’t all that either.”
DO KYUNGSOO takes over the stage now, violin in hand. “I hope you enjoy the song.” The first portion of the song is played on the instrument, and then, for the rest, he settles his violin aside and sings to the lyrics of the song. “Thank you,” he said after his performance was finished. “For being my audience.” Then, with another bow, he leaves the stage. Another few performances pass by starring BANG CHAN, LEE JINKYUNG, and HAN JISUNG. The next one up is a girl, the one most commonly known on the show.
It’s BAE JOOHYUN, who uses her bass like she did the previous season to perform her song of choice. If she’s the one known, then the one who comes next could be considered a celebrity and, well, once he was. “I’m gonna bring you with me on a journey I took a few years ago. Since we’re gonna dive right into my personal life, I’m gonna make myself at home.” CHOI MINHO opens an antique chest, clothes spilling off of it. He moves along to the song, simple things that go along with the song. After he’s done, the man sits in front of the camera for his interview. “I just wanna let the people know it’s a song about my past. I promise I’m not lonely anymore.” He laughs.
“I’m LEE SUWOONG.” The boy greets, both of his hands clasping at the microphone. “It’s the ‘ei ei’ kid.” Tiger JK makes sure to comment while the boy bows to the judges. At first, his performance appears normal, but in only a few second his chosen song turns into a trot version of itself, gaining a few surprised looks from the audience as well as some more grins from the CEOs. “Hope everyone enjoyed it!” He says excitedly before leaving the stage. “He’s something else.” Baek Jiyoung comments as he leaves.
PARK JINYOUNG goes next. He chooses to perform a song originally performed by a girl, but he still makes it work. He’s not the only one to do so. JUNG HOSEOK decides to go with the debut song Royal’s latest girl group instead of a soloist. On the opposite side of the same coin, YU SUA decides to perform a song by a boy group. NA JAEMIN introduces himself before his performance, a cover of one of the many hit songs by Brave Girls, but rearrange on his own style.
Next, YOO TAEYANG appears, introducing himself briefly. “Hello, my name is Yoo Taeyang and I’ll dance for you today.” It’s about the third Bruno Mars song so far, but it never seems to be enough. “Hi I’m KIM SEUNGHUN and I’ll be singing a song I rearranged for you today, so please watch me well.” It’s one of the songs originally sung by Raehwan, and since the boy decided to only sing for his performance, he managed to show his skills well.
A man takes on the stage, KIM MYUNGSOO, and he chooses to use his guitar for the performance, tapping the instrument on the off-beats to create a steady rhythm. “Hello, I’m SEO CHANGBIN from Seoul. Usually… hm… I seem like a quiet person,” he pauses for a moment. “But if you open your ears wide I think you’ll be able to see past that.” Unlike the image he described, the boy puts on a good performance with an exciting song as his choice to rap.
PARK JUNHEE chooses a recent american song, charming people with his voice. “It’s true. I’m a sucker for you.” He ends his performance with a wink at the judges and a grunt can be captured from Katie Lee’s microphone. SON HYEJOO chooses to introduce herself in korean before doing it again in japanese, explaining that she was born in the foreign country. It doesn’t take too long for her bubbly personality to disappear and a new, stronger image taking over her as the young girl shows that her strongest skill is rapping. KIM MINKYUNG goes next, and this time the girl keeps up with the image. She puts on a tiara with little LED lights spelling ‘princess’ on her head.
“I’m NAM JOOHYUK, born in London and raised from around this neighborhood.” The man introduces himself with charm, and his song choice is a nice one to listen after all the ups and downs from the day. I'm CHWE HANSOL’s turn next. “The song I’ve prepared is a song that I wrote and composed. Please listen to it kindly.” It goes along well with the previous song, and people at home can enjoy it as it deserves. The next person to be called receives a couple of widened eyes. The boy, WONG YUKHEI, had decided to attend his audition with a crop top and fishnets that could be seen up to his waist above the ripped pants he was wearing.
The starting position is laying down on the floor. “Is this supposed to be a sexy performance?” Hyun Bin asks and the man beside him, So Jisub, replies to him as soon as the song starts. “Ah, I think it is.” The original song performed by the famous now-soloist makes everyone look at the boy performing, sirens playing across the set. Next up is a girl, KIM JUNGEUN, who dances with an attitude to the american song. At some point in the choreography, she lets her hair out of its bun which adds some next-level effect.
Leaning closer to the end of the episode, one of the last girls is ZHOU JIEQIONG. “I prepared something today that’s hopefully a little different, so hopefully you’ll like.” She had chosen to show a ballet performance, and most probably believe that would be the sole idea of her performance, but before long the girl starts to change into different styles, kicking her pointe shoes out of the way. By the time she’s done, more than one person was impressed. “Hey man, I’m Jooyong,” KIM JOOYONG starts casually, hand raising up to match his greeting. “I… want to take you on this musical journey.” It’s a smooth smashup that allows the man to keep up with his image as well as show off his skills.
WANG JACKSON decides to use his guitar for his performance, playing along to a pop song except with an acoustic version. LEE HOHYEON decides to go with the original song as it is, dancing to one of the more recent songs of the year. To finish it all off, there’s HWANG YEJI, one of the dancers mentioned previously. “Thank you for your time,” she says kindly before the start of her performance. It’s a song you wouldn’t normally expect from such a cute girl like her, but she has a charisma to herself that leaves some impressed.
There is text on the screen that notifies the public that, indeed, that was the last of them. The camera pans over some of the hopefuls faces to show the sight of nervousness before Tiger JK takes the microphone for the next announcement and exactly the one they were all dreading. “This may be only the first episode of the show, but we notified all of you that after the performances were done, there would be an elimination.” Some decide to shift in their seat, but the CEO doesn’t change much his expression.
“There are 100 total people here who performed today in hopes of continuing their journey on this season of the Mnet Global Auditions. Right now, it’ll be the first time we’ll reveal exactly how many of you will move on.” The man takes another break so that the heavy air may become even heavier, and whoever was nervous could possibly start feeling dizzy by now. “From the 100 constants here, only 50 of you will move on to the rest of the competition.”
There’s a loud reaction from the people in front of him and Tiger JK settles down his microphone so that So Jisub may proceed. “We’ll reveal who will be continuing on the show right now.”

The man announces each name in alphabetical order, so if your letter had already passed, you’d know you didn’t make it. Instead of having to hear the CEO say each of the names one by one, the show was edited so that an edit of all the confirmed contestant appeared on the screen while So Jisub’s voice was used as a voice-over, explaining what would be the first real challenge of the season.
And now, let’s see what’s in store for our second episode!
After the tiring first episode, the first challenge in store for the contestants will be one that’ll be sure to only leave those worthy of their spots in the competition. All 50 of them will be divided into three groups and fight in a battle of skill between singers, dancers, and rappers. They’ll each have a limit of 2 minutes to display a performance of their choice involving only their main skill. The groups were divided by what contestants wrote in their form, but this is the time to change if they’d like to.
Eliminations will be made appropriately. There are more singers than dancers, and more dancers than rappers, meaning eliminations will be balanced to fit this ratio. If a contestant believes they may have a better chance at a skill differently to the one they listed, they may ask to change categories. IC, they would have needed to make their decision until before they left the set for the recording of the first episode, but OOC you may have until midnight of tomorrow, June 30th, to submit your change request to rkevent. In case you’d like to stay in the same category, you do not need to notify us.
All contestants are supposed to make their own way to the recording studio prepared specially for this episode. The set will be the same as before and will look something close to this. On each side, 25 chairs will be prepared for the contestants to sit on and watch each other’s performances. Just because most eyes will be on the performance doesn’t mean no one will be paying attention to you. A set of cameras will have their lenses ready to capture any sort of interesting reaction from those watching (beware of the evil editing) while a couple more will allow different angles of the main performance to be captured.
Sitting on the higher ground, much more comfortable chairs are lined in front of the stage — five in total. This is where the CEOs of each big company will be sitting to make sure only the most captivating contestants will continue their journey to make this the best season yet.
The start couldn’t have been more exciting. Welcome, everyone, to the MGA Season 5!
Tune in next Saturday, the 6th, for our second episode!
MGA Season 5 episode two preview: From 100 to 50, the contestants must now prove they have the skill to make it to the end. They’ll be judged based solely on their main skill, and those who do not make it to the CEOs expectations will be eliminated from the show! Did your favorite make it through the first episode? Who will make it until the end? Keep watching to find out!
[ None of the performances were aired in their entirety. Cuts from the show itself were uploaded to Mnet's Official Youtube Channel, but the full performances cannot be found else. ]
If you made it this far, either if you were eliminated on this episode or you’re continuing on this journey, you may add +3 POINTS IN A PERFORMANCE SKILL to your points tally. Make sure to link back to this post for verification.
Contestants have until midnight EST at the end of Friday, the 5th, to post their 200+ words solos about the skills challenge in front of the CEOs. Please tag all related posts with #rkmga5 and #rkmga5skill. They’ll have two minutes to perform their chosen skill to capture the attention of the CEOs (as long as it doesn’t break any laws). Good luck!
After the last performance is done, the CEOs will leave to discuss their thoughts privately. While this happens, the contestants will be taken one by one into a small room to be interviewed on their thoughts of the current state of things. They will be asked a variety of questions and some may be included in the list found below! Feel free to come up with your own questions if you think they can be fitting.
What did you think of the results last week?
Who do you think is the best under each skill?
How do you think you did?
Were there any performances you liked?
Were there any performances you didn’t like?
What did you think of ___’s performance?
Is there anyone you are certain will move onto the next phase of the MGAs?
Is there anyone you are certain will be eliminated today?
Once they’re done, they’ll be taken back to their seat to wait, or may go to the bathroom if needed.
You may write an extra 200+ words solo about your muse’s interview, as explained above, to also be posted until midnight EST at the end of Friday, the 5th. For doing so, you may earn +2 CHARISMA OR CREATIVITY POINTS and these can be added to your points tally as soon as it is posted. Please tag all related posts with #rkmga5 and #rkmga5skill. Please link this post as verification.

there’s no good way to describe how he feels at that very moment other than absolutely devastated.
it’s okay if they’re not called to be at the very top, hyojin thinks -- no, he dares to think -- but then they start announcing the people at the bottom without even touching the middle. it sends him straight into fear, because there’s an ugly premonition building inside of him, telling him that something was going to go sideways right about now, and he dreads the possibility of them being named. yugyeom, joohyuk, jackson. hansol, jungeun, kenta.
the judges announce their respective eliminations, sending home two out of the six, and hyojin braces himself. there’s no way they would have gotten lower, would they? would they? that’s already six out of ten duos done. all he wants, no, all he needs is for them to be one of those two who hadn’t been named. #4 or #5. #4 or #5, please --
“kim hyojin.”
he loses his breath at that, exhaling sharply without even realizing that he had been breathing in, because that’s his name. that’s his name, and at this very moment, he wished it wasn’t. it feels like a sin to think that when his mother had spent months thinking of what to name him, to carefully put together his name and taking the time to go to a fortune teller to increase his fortuity.
( looks like his luck has run out. )
he’s limp in his seat as they name eric and taeyang as well, unable to meet their gazes. he knows it’s him. he knows, also, that it’s absolutely his fault that they’re there. if he had been a better dancer, or had not been in their trio at all, maybe they would have been at the top. maybe they would have won. instead, he’s getting ready to hear jisub call his name, to tell him that his dancing wasn’t good enough, their stage was impressive and vibrant but he was the only one who didn’t make it so.
instead, he hears a name that isn’t his. it starts with a yoo and ends with a --
“hyung,” he breathes it out weakly, eyes wide and shining with hurt as he turns to taeyang next to him, trying his best not to look back at eric, who he was sure was probably glaring at him. there’s thousands of thoughts flying through his head -- he’s sorry, god, he’s so sorry, but he’s also guilty, and then he’s mad, at himself, at this matchup, at everything, because he shouldn’t have been put with them but he still was, and now this is nothing but a loser’s game where either he loses himself or loses another. this man taught him how to dance, and even as the stronger vocalist, it hurts hyojin realizing this.
he doesn’t know what to say except for sorry, but it’s weak and falls flat and he can only choke it out ever so quietly, falling deaf on their ears. he’s so sorry.
it tastes bitter and cruel on his tongue as he sits through the last few eliminations, none of them as emotional or shocking as this one to the teams, but he can’t stop thinking about his teammate next to him, and the other on his other side, and how he let them down. he doesn’t even feel like he has the right to enjoy the new challenge that’s presented to them, to be in awe at the fact that they were going to be coached by famous idols and trainees who had competed in previous seasons of the show.
all he can do is look at the judges, wondering, why him? not just why did they eliminate taeyang, but why did they keep him?
( the answer is simple: because the dance was made easier for someone like hyojin, at the cost of taeyang. it’s a scale, not a tower. adding more to one side takes away from the other. )
coaches... voting...
he catches that the supposed mentors had voted for who would be put into their teams to represent each company, but he’s still caught up on the fact that taeyang was gone. he was out. maybe they’d call his name instead of hyojin’s for the teams. but sphere passes by, and then nova, and then trc, and then kt, and then he hears royal, the name making his chest tighten because that was exactly what he had put on his application when applying for this show; it was, in his mind, the best option for him if he wanted to keep on singing and for people to keep on hearing him. but why did it have to be this way?
surely enough, the people are expected. kyungsoo, then heejin, and then... him. not taeyang, him.
this was the reality. this was the crime he’s committed.
❀ INTERACTIONS ; FRIDAY
he’s tense on the first day, more so than he would have been had it not been for yesterday’s awful events. stepping foot into royal does much to alleviate his stress and the guilt that still hovered behind him everywhere he went, but it doesn’t change the fact that he now bears the weight of someone else’s elimination on him. the previous weeks, he had either been solo or tied to his partner, meaning that it would either be both or none, but the fact that they lost a member this time and didn’t have to is what gets him.
“hi, i’m kim hyojin. please take good care of me, i’ll work hard!”
he tries to greet everyone with a bright smile and a polite bow as always, but it’s obvious how his thoughts weigh him down, especially considering that he’s having a hard time looking eric in the eyes, even more so than before.
even with this burden, though, it doesn’t stop him from finally getting starstruck when in front of the coaches, which included both the leader of luxe and one of its well known dancers, as well as won, a former mga finalist. he can’t stop his gaze from constantly wandering between them, his hands folded neatly in front of him as he stands respectfully, nodding along to their words attentively and with curious eyes, shyly avoiding ella’s glance whenever her eyes got close to his. despite this, he takes their words and advice to heart, and as the team starts to settle on their song, he finds himself slowly warming up.
( this time, he won’t talk about his dancing. this time, he can’t let them suffer because he’s lacking. )
instead, he listens attentively to the ideas thrown around, adding some of his own into the mix like mamamoo or got7, nodding thoughtfully despite being a bit reserved, especially with eric in the group. they eventually decide on shangri-la, a song with a backing track that makes heavy use of traditional sounds and instruments, and also conveyed a sense of elegance and chicness through use of fans. fortunately, because not all of the members are dancers -- and also because royal isn’t exactly the most dance oriented company -- they decide to water down some parts after realizing that not everyone can do it in sync, making it simpler.
at the same time, though, hyojin knows that he has a long way to go, and tries to follow along as closely as he can. he’s sparing in his questions unless it’s to a coach like ella, because he knows he can’t take away too much from the other contestants’ practice time.
as the night grows darker and later, hyojin finds himself one of the only ones left in the studio, still practicing and even trying to learn ahead in the dance, watching the video over and over again and recording himself before monitoring. it’s with this strategy that he hopes to stay ahead without burdening anyone, and certainly without making them sacrifice their time and efforts, and he gives a little wave to the camera before he leaves for the night, turning off the studio lights.
❀ SATURDAY ;
line distribution takes a turn for the worse as parts are doled out -- surprisingly enough, hyojin, heejin, and eric don’t have too hard of a time figuring out who does what, as heejin got the high notes and the main vocal position, and hyojin the beginning and ending of the song, as well as part of the chorus as the secondary main vocal. eric seemed fine enough with the rap part, and even though hyojin volunteers to collaborate with him to help increase his rapping experience, the other seems terribly cold about it.
trying his best not to take it to heart, hyojin instead finds himself witness to kyungsoo and suwoong’s conflict over the song’s killing part -- also known as the part where the stand ins for n and ravi harmonize, resting their heads on each other’s shoulders. he has to admit, it’s a pretty and enchanting part, and he understands why it’d be so heavily contended -- at the same time, though, he’s surprised at the fact that they seemed so hostile. the day before, they seemed to be fine, even playing around with the cameras.
nevertheless, the issue is resolved when kyungsoo’s height and singing skill seems to fit the bill for the coaches, who ultimately give him the part, and hyojin sighs a breath of relief at the peaceful resolution. the tension still remains, though, with eric even chillier at hyojin than yesterday, and it troubles deeply him as he watches the younger brush by him while he goes to cheri for some advice.
“coach cheri-ssi.” clearing his throat shyly, waiting for the woman to notice him, hyojin asks, “could you tell me if i’m doing this part right? the expression is a little complex at this line.” singing the opening line sweetly, he waits and listens for her feedback, retrying a few times before capturing the right mood. it’s sensual, but not too sensual; a mix of mystic and lovely, making for a hard execution but an impressive one if done correctly.
consequently, with her kind words and patience, he finds himself relaxing after realizing that he’s been tensing up this whole time, and when asked why he seemed to be so uneasy, he ends up spilling his troubles with the team to her, telling her about how taeyang had gotten eliminated and he’s fairly sure eric is upset about it, as the former had taken so much time to teach him how to dance.
she responds by saying that the judges’ decision was not his fault, soothing him with warm but reasonable words, telling him that he shouldn’t think so negatively of himself as a burden. this comforts him greatly, almost to the point of tears, but he wipes away at his eyes before they can form fully, and nods. he doesn’t exactly think that he can go on as normal after this, especially when he hasn’t talked to eric or taeyang about it, but maybe now he could consider gaining the courage to approach them.
practice goes by a little troubled, with suwoong constantly dropping his fan on heejin and hitting the poor girl, much to hyojin’s dismay -- he asks her if she’s all right more than just a few times, but it seems to just be a rampant case of butterfingers rather than malicious intent on the former’s part.
he stays late again, focusing more on the chorus this time, going through each move slowly and pretending to hold a fan ( they had yet to arrive for the team ) the whole time, feeling his body start to ache at the intense dance. unlike last time, with the simple choreography, this was only slightly modified, meaning that most of the elements remained the same. not only that, but there was now also a dance break, meaning that hyojin would seriously have to pick up the pace.
he can’t remember the last time he’s picked up a guitar or played the keyboard, and, honestly, his bones and limbs are hurting so much nowadays that he doesn’t even recall the feeling anymore. he’s too tired to even try to talk to the camera anymore like he did last week, instead resting on the floor, sprawled out, sometimes flashing a tired smile or peace sign at the camera from time to time, or trying to move his lips up into a smile in the mirror despite the bags starting to appear under his eyes. he knows kyungsoo is probably struggling the same, coming in early on weekends instead of staying as late.
with this in mind, he still powers through, taking breaks only if needed and not complaining.
❀ SUNDAY ;
kyungsoo’s words are harsh, and they cut through the air smoothly like a fine-sharpened knife. hyojin’s eyes are wide as he sees the shorter male storm out of the studio after saying his final words to suwoong, having overheard the whole fight but knowing better than to butt in between them when clearly this was their own battle.
it doesn’t stop him, though, from also dropping his fan ( that had arrived that morning ) and going out after kyungsoo, leaving the rest of his teammates standing, shocked, in the practice room. there’s a slight panic to him as he tries to scour the building, before realizing that royal’s hallways are winding and confusing, and that kyungsoo was nowhere to be found. after looking in a few other rooms and even finding the backdoor exit, hyojin realizes that he’s lost the male. but instead of going back to the studio, he decides to exit the building, knowing that suwoong undoubtedly had yet to calm down, and that, knowing kyungsoo, he probably wouldn’t be getting lunch anytime soon.
by the time he comes back with two sandwiches in his hands, along with two drinks, hyojin finds that the studio is empty except for kyungsoo, who looks as quiet and grim as ever. hyojin himself is a little less frazzled at the sudden outburst from before, and is visibly glad to see that the singer had come back, making his way over almost a little too eagerly with the extra meal.
“here, 'soo. i got one for you -- you’ve been working hard.”
it’d be a lie if hyojin said he didn’t know why suwoong and kyungsoo had fought -- quite simply, as someone who also had difficulties dancing, hyojin had noticed how suwoong always seemed to tell them to start again, even occasionally teasing kyungsoo, who seemed increasingly more irritated and less amused. push would come to shove and increase tensions instead of resolving them, hence leading to this situation.
sitting next to kyungsoo as he opens his sandwich, taking a little bite, hyojin glances at his friend, concern clear in his eyes. “i know suwoong hyung has been a little tough lately, but let’s hang in there, okay?” trying his best to convey his worries, hyojin ends up saying it in order to convince kyungsoo to take the dancer a little less seriously, “i’m sure he doesn’t mean any harm, so let’s both try to be a little more understanding.”
with that, he pats the male’s shoulder, and they eat together in silence.
the moment the rest of the team comes back, hyojin can’t help but notice the unsettling feeling that was starting to pervade the room. although he greets suwoong brightly, the other male seems a little bit colder than usual, and with eric following in behind him, the dots connect and hyojin feels his chest tighten. he knows he deserves it ( no, he doesn’t -- that’s what cheri told him to keep in mind, but it’s hard ), but it still hurts the same, especially with how nice and energetic suwoong had been towards him for the first few days. it feels like the more he tries, the more he’s shunned, but there’s no option for him to leave or give up.
regardless, hyojin still catches him when they’re alone, trying to bring up the conflict with kyungsoo, albeit nervously at first. “hyung... earlier this morning... i noticed you and ‘soo seemed to have some difficulties?” when the other male doesn’t respond, expression only growing colder, he continues, voice still strong despite his confidence faltering inwardly, “i was just thinking... maybe it’d be a little nicer if you complimented him more, or were a little more lenient. i know i shouldn’t be saying this when i’m not as good at dancing, but it’s discouraging to have mistakes constantly be picked at, and in some cases, frustrating. i don’t think it’ll help a lot with teaching someone in the end, but it’s just my perspective. you’re the best dancer out of all of us, so i’m sure you’ll make the right call in the end.”
laughing awkwardly, he notices the look on suwoong’s face, foreign and almost hostile, before asking quietly, “have i done sometihng wrong?”
when suwoong explains what hyojin had been fearing, he visibly falters. ah, taeyang was his best friend. how much collateral damage had he caused?
( none. it’s not his fault that was how the elimination was decided, but he can’t quite seem to convince himself of that. )
they end up talking for a while after that, hyojin explaining how he had felt guilty about it and how he was working extra hard to make up for taeyang’s elimination, explaining that he was both fortunate to have such an understanding teammate but also be allowed to survive. he didn’t plan on letting it go to waste anytime soon, and this seems to please suwoong, who seems to have loosened up ever so slightly.
when they finally split up, hyojin approaches eric again carefully to confirm their collaboration, and they decide, albeit one-sidedly, to go perform in hongdae on tuesday to promote the team and practice. he goes home that day after the same hard practice, this time finally sending a text to taeyang before sleeping.
❀ MONDAY - WEDNESDAY ;
he wakes up to a warm and frankly far too kind response from taeyang, who encourages and comforts him instead of the other way around. this relieves hyojin, more than he can ever admit, and for the first time, he walks into the studio with a smile blooming on his face, no longer withering away with every passing day and cold interaction with some of his teammates.
suwoong and kyungsoo also come in with food, and after everyone thanks them and enjoys it, hyojin gently suggests that they all sit down and have a heart-to-heart in the studio, talking about their worries. he, for one, brings up the tensions with eric, telling the younger how he’s been feeling.
“truthfully, it’s been hard keeping it to myself all these days. i didn’t know what to say to make it better, or how to properly apologize and decrease the tension. i had a hard time looking any of you in the eyes, because i spent all of my time when i wasn’t practicing wondering, should taeyang hyung be here in my place instead? do i really deserve this?” trying not to tear up, he pauses, licking his lips as he tries to look at eric and suwoong confidently, sitting criss cross on the studio floor in a circle with everyone else, “but eric... suwoong hyung... i promise you that i’ll work as hard as i can to make sure taeyang wasn’t eliminated for nothing. i won’t be a burden this time, i promise.”
with that, the conflict seems to be resolved, suwoong comforting him again, and eric seeming a lot more relaxed, even friendly. during practice time this time around, hyojin opens up a little more, his brightness back and still burning even late at night, where he finally practices effortlessly without looking like the world was on his shoulders.
before he heads out for the night before his collaboration with eric, he sits with the camera again for the first time that week, a genuinely happy smile on his face despite his weary bones and soul.
“tomorrow is busking day! i’ll finally get to collaborate with eric, even though i can’t bring you along, camera-ssi... it’s okay, i can show a recording later, if you want! sleep well. i’ll see you tomorrow!” giving it a little wave and a pat, hyojin finally heads out of the studio.
two days later, after his collaboration with eric in hongdae, in which suwoong had tagged along and they attracted a rather large crowd, hyojin and his team present fans with letters on them to the coaches -- won, ella, and cheri. during the process, though, he finds himself bowing deeply to his teammates in apology, a little flustered at how long his messages appeared in comparison to theirs.
“sorry! i must have written too much, otherwise you would have had space to write more.”
regardless, it’s laughed off, and they finish up their performance with some more ideas, like stage lighting and even a team name. with the team atmosphere finally comfortable and good after a grueling week, he feels like they’re going to burn up the stage together.
❀ ON THE STAGE ;
the robes are a little heavy despite him being used to wearing them a few times now, and he nervously fingers his red-tinted fan as they sit in the waiting room with all the others, watching performances. he’s so nervous, in fact, that even though he applauds the others during each stage, he can’t help but think about theirs, and the fact that they were going to be the last performance of the night.
( he really hopes -- no, he’s confident -- that they’ve saved the best for last. )
as they get onstage, hyojin responds to suwoong’s question before they reach backstage with a firm “yes” despite his stomach feeling like jelly,  the screams becoming louder at their appearance when they finally see the audience. at the attention and the bright lights hyojin grows shy and steps a little closer to suwoong, his cheeks growing warm when he thinks that he might hear his name somewhere in there.
they introduce themselves as youth over flowers, with hyojin’s own tagline being, “i’m kim hyojin, the lovely pink hydrangea who will fill your hearts with emotion.” at suwoong’s cheesy ending line, they then get into their positions, starting the song.
흐드러져 피는 꽃 바람마저 달콤한 이곳은 꿈 gorgeously blossoming flowers even the wind is sweet in this dream like place
as the instrumental begins, the lights dim and the stage fills with fog. the dance starts with an elegant wave of their fans, and hyojin starts in a sitting position, opening his with a flourish. at his line, he starts in the center with his knees on the ground, his expression charismatic and alluring as he sings sweetly. much like honey that attracted bees, he hoped to grasp the attention of the audience and the judges as well, showing off his ability to adapt to such a sexy and elegant performance.
the next member follows, then heejin -- hyojin stands on the outside of the circle, before completing more elegant moves next to her, getting into line with the others. as they expand outwards, he takes the center for the chorus.
덧칠해 좀 더 짙게 이 밤 깊이 번져가고 있어 벗어날 수 없게 눈 감고 내 안의 널 또 찾잖아 paint it on a little thicker this night is deeply spreading so i can’t escape i’m closing my eyes and looking for you inside of me
having practiced tirelessly to perfect his movements, hyojin does the chorus with confidence and pays close attention to his expressions as he performs, moving his arm smoothly in a pseudo-body roll, then freestyling for the next two lines, looping his arm in a circular movement over his head gracefully, singing stably into the microphone.
he gives a sideway glance to the audience, lips slightly parted and eyes blazing, making good use of the gentle curve of his eyes and disposition to give off an almost feminine but powerful aura, strong but sweet. it asserts his presence, allowing him to shine until his part ends, letting heejin take over.
he dances in time, arms and legs moving around elegantly in the hanbok, blending in well until it was time for the chorus again.
덧칠해 좀 더 짙게 이 밤 깊이 번져가고 있어 벗어날 수 없게 눈 감고 내 안의 널 또 찾잖아 paint it on a little thicker this night is deeply spreading so i can’t escape i’m closing my eyes and looking for you inside of me
repeating the moves, he does the second part a little differently this time, a little more alluring than before with a sweet curve of his lips, blinking slowly and eyes shining half moons as he sings powerfully and stably, as if pulling them in more and more with his words, capturing every last drop of their attention.
as they go into the bridge, hyojin goes down to the ground before lifting himself up to sing.
너로 물든 색이 아련하고 눈부시게 빛나 gets filled up with your colour
softly but coaxingly, he sings, walking around his members to the center gracefully, flicking his wrist and opening the fan so that it obscured the bottom half of his face teasingly. with that, he steps to the side for kyungsoo to take over, singing the killing part.
with that, the dance break begins, and hyojin follows along on the outer wings easily -- it’s moody but not too technical; instead of having tons of moves crammed in, it’s just a few charismatic ones that just need to be executed gracefully and mindfully. opening his fan in time with the others, he does a spin while suwoong jumps in the center, the middle switching to eric.
taking the fan and hiding his face, hyojin leans over to the side, eyes piercing the camera with a blazing expression, tearing away the thinly veiled expression of sensuality that he had worn before for the break, lifting his finger into a “sh” position. as the dance break ends, heejin goes into her high note, and the chorus continues, this time hyojin dancing normally on the side instead of the center.
다시 눈을 뜨면 내게만 스며들어 when i open my eyes again you only come into me
ending on a final, graceful high note, hyojin takes the last two lines at the center with his now completely exposed, charismatic expression, ending the dance as each row of members turned around, leaving him still facing forward before he turns, too, flicking his fan to the side of his face and looking to the opposite direction gracefully.
at that, the cheers rise to meet them, and they slowly turn back around, bowing before getting offstage.
even though his heart is pumping, hyojin finds himself happily hugging suwoong as they get off, relieved at how well it went. it had been a hard week, but they had done it.
( maybe now he could rest in peace. )

i just need to know which one of these possible ceos will care for pushing daisies and kick hyojin and daeul's nasty asses out of the company
Tumblr media
— NEUTRAL EVIL ; CHO JIHAN
Tumblr media
Dressing in a classy black turtle neck and slacks, Jihan stands in front of a white-lit background with a kind smile. "My plan for Angelico is to focus on the future," Jihan explains, the screen behind him fading into a video compilation of trainees practicing and Lunarix performing on music shows.
"For so long, Angelico has been hung up on the past but with me in charge, I will only focus on the future. I have plans for a new boy group with a cyber and futurism concept, consisting of seven boys." As he explains the concept a mood board fades in behind him, showing the chromatic and futuristic concept in action.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Cicada in its current form offers the company very little so I would implement a rebranding, replacing members that are no longer useful to the brand. Pushing Daisies, while I think is great for our western endeavors, I don't find that interesting. I wouldn't cut them but their sells domestically would have to rise for me to back them fully." With that, Jihan finishes his presentation, giving a polite smile and a small bow.
— LAWFUL EVIL ; KIM HAYUL
Tumblr media
Hayul sits at a neatly organized desk, hands sitting atop the wood interwoven. She's in a white blouse with her hair pinned back, giving her a professional but delicate look.
"When I'm appointed CEO, I plan to put full efforts into Pushing Daisies and cater towards a Western market. I feel Angelico has been missing out on the vital Western markets. Pushing Daisies is currently our most successful act in the West, we need to utilize that!" Hayul speaks with confidence and power, demanding the space without even trying.
"Cicada needs a rebrand," Hayul laments with faux grief, "They simply cost too much to continue going. Already being down a member, I plan to cut several members and replace them with trainees, making it a five-member lineup." She isn't as interested in Cicada as she is Pushing Daises but she has a plan for them.
"My focus will be on the co-ed groups Rejects and Pushing Daisies as they make Angelico unique. That is our biggest goal: Uniqueness." The woman puts her fists up in a "fighting!" motion, smiling genuinely.
— CHAOTIC GOOD ; SON ROAN
Tumblr media
"Alright," The man, dressed in a black shirt and matching joggers, hits the posterboard with current Angelico groups on it to get the viewers' attention.
"You want Cicada gone. I want Cicada gone. Boom—" Roan rips off the sticker of Cicada off the board and tosses them aside. "They're gone. They don't have a producer anyways and are a member down. Plus, they're expensive as hell. We don't need them. What we need is a new boy group," Roan explains, flipping the board over to show faces of trainees and aesthetics he has in mind for the group.
"I'm thinking six members and with a dark vampire concept that's, like, vague enough for fan theories and shit like that. These are the potential candidates," Roan says as he points to the six boys in the center of the board.
Tumblr media
"And everything around it is, like, the concept I'm thinking of," Roan explains as he moves his hand in a circle around the board with a slow nod. "I think it looks pretty sick."
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"And then," Roan flips the board back over to move Lunarix in the center of the board. "I'm putting full effort into making Lunarix the new face of Angelico. They're the only ones who can do it as of right now so they'll get full backing. Pushing daisies," Roan shrugs when he mentions the group, plucking their sticker off the board and placing below Lunarix with another shrug. He clearly doesn't look interested in them or seems to have put any thought into them.
"I'll give them comebacks. I like Elliot and Zasha enough," The man decides with a nod. "I'll put more effort into Rejects, however, because I think they're neat." With that statement, he slaps the Rejects sticker on top of the Pushing Daisies one. He gives his board a proud smile, nodding at it before looking at the viewer.
"And that is my plan for Angelico. Thank you!"

         ✧ ✧ ✧  ━━━━━━━  & MGA SEASON 5 CALLBACKS ,                                                INTERVIEW —
he’d come into this competition not knowing what to expect. he hadn’t watched any of the previous seasons, and while he knew it was a talent competition, he didn’t know much else about it. the singing and the dancing was a given, and even the appearance of the ceos seemed expected given the fact that the fate  of their companies depended on the trainees they choose to groom for the future, but it never even crossed his mind that they’d care so much about the thoughts of the contestants on the show. based on how much time the auditions alone would take up, even if they chose a select few, he figured there’d be enough to fill up even several episodes if they liked; he didn’t think they’d need footage like this to fill up time.
but, hey, what does he know about show business?
it seems like such a long time until they call his name since all the performances are done now and he has little else to do to take up his time other than talk to his cousin and try to talk to his brother, so by the time he’s called up, he’s surprisingly pretty pumped about it.
he enters the room and settles into the seat, shaking his bottom just a bit to get that feel of having been sat in it for hours. he rests his hands on the armrest and allows his lips to bloom into a full blown grin, ready for whatever questions they throw at him.
how did you feel when you received the news of the callback?
“i was like, i knew it!” he lies through his teeth, laughter following soon after, betraying that false sense of confidence. “actually, i was pretty surprised. there were so many people at the auditions that i wasn’t sure i would stand out among so many of them, so thanks for giving me the chance to show more of what i have! hopefully i’ve shown enough to make you want to see even more. we’ve only scratched the surface, baby!”
what did you think when the judges were revealed?
he leans back in his seat, his lups forming into a circle as he blows air out of his mouth, his head shaking. sure, it hadn’t really been a surprise to see them there, but that didn’t mean it didn’t make an impact. he immediately felt small in front of them, like a mere mortal before gods. “they felt fucking powerful,” he says, uttering the first words that crosses his mind, belatedly realizing he probably shouldn’t be cursing on television. his hand immediately jumps off to cover his mouth, eyes wide in shock at himself.
“i mean...f--cking powerful,” he repeats, this time censoring himself. “kind of like an ‘i am not worthy’ moment, ya feel me?”
how do you think you did?
his lips purse, expression turning pensive. he’s silent for a few moments as he mentally goes through his performance again. sure, there had been some mistakes---a shaky start due to nerves, a lack of technique toward the end---but overall, he thinks he did pretty well. “you know what? i did decent.”
kim seungmin is your brother, right? how do you think he did?
his expression immediately lights up the second his brother’s name is mentioned. he sits up straighter in his seat, at rapt and full attention, grin so wide his teeth are bared for all to see. “yes he is!” he replies enthusiastically, a proud glow emanating off of him. “he did amazing! perfect! great! i mean, you watched it, right? you saw it. he did really well.” yeah, okay, he might be slightly biased, but that’s to be expected. “isn’t he so cute?”
besides your brother’s, are there any other performances that stood out to you?
“kim hyojin!” he’s quick to answer with a smile. of course, he can’t forget to mention his cousin and roommate. “he was really good, right?” he pauses to try and remember other performances who aren’t his family, ones that stood out among the literal hundred others he’s seen. “oh, that one girl who danced to partition...i can’t remember her name, but it was different than the usual choreography that you see for that song, you know what i mean? and her dancing was phenomenal. uh, and that one guy who did that trot rendition of that one boy group song. had a lot of fun with that one.”
he pauses again, trying to remember even more because he wants to give credit where credit is due. “that one rapper, i think his name was yeosang or something like that. that song he chose was really good, and man, his rapping was smooth af.” his lips purse in order not to burst into laughter as he recalls another performance, one that stands out for...other reasons. yes, he’d said he was okay, but he didn’t want to appear mean-spirited for bursting out into laughter. “that one kid who roller skated was really interesting. he looked really cool.” until he fell off the stage....but he probably shouldn’t say that out loud. instead, he gives a thumbs up at the camera accompanied by a grin as a show of support and solidarity for the boy.
“oh, oh!!” he says, pepping up as he remembers one contestant in particular. “choi minho is also really cool! he’s got like....” he pauses, forgetting how to say what he wants to say for a moment in both his learned languages. “star quality.” before he can stop himself, his rambling continues, “and he’s got these man tiddiez...can’t take your eyes off of ‘em!”
yeah, probably should have left that one in his head, too.
any final thoughts?
still trying to recover from his slip-up, he chuckles in embarrassment, trying to regain composure. “i’m just really thankful for this opportunity,” he says finally, genuine and sincere. “i’ve already learned a few things about myself, and i’m hoping i can continue on this journey so i can learn even more.”

MGA5 CALLBACK PERFORMANCE Singing Let Me Love You Mashup by Kiana Lede ; ( 0:10 - 2:05 )
Honestly, if anybody ever told Seungmin he’d make it for the MGAs callback, he would’ve just laughed it off and acted like it was nothing. Of course, that was merely joking around. The fact that it became a reality was a little disconcerting. He received the notification of the next step via e-mail and he just couldn’t believe his eyes.
He had so many people to tell, but he didn’t want to jinx anything whatsoever so he kept it to himself. In this short time frame, Seungmin mentally prepared and practiced with his whole heart on the line. With the address given to them for the recording, Seungmin traveled to the location. Since Seungmin and Changbin are roommates, they decided to go together.
“Binnie… this is so crazy. I can’t believe we’re really doing this. Like actually doing the MGAs. It’s insane.” He held onto his roommate’s hand as he found their way to the studio where the recording would take place.
Immediately upon arrival, Seungmin ran into Jeongin and excitedly dragged him over to everyone else including Jisung and Chan which they sat amongst each other. “This is so nerve-wracking, Innie… I hope we do well today.” He gripped the younger’s hand and squeezed for a little bit of reassurance -- more for himself than anything.
Seungmin quietly watches as other contestants pile into the studio and find themselves a seat among the hundred of chairs available. He notices a presence next to him sit down but doesn’t make much of it. It’s not until the voice speaks up. “Man, I’m nervous, how about you?”
Seungmin doesn’t even think twice before an automatic reply leaves his mouth. “Ugh, honestly, same.” He pauses for another second before he turns his head and that’s when it hits him like a goddamn train by letting out an audible gasp. His brother with the widest shit-eating grin on his face looking at him. Staring at him. Sitting right next to him. His mouth hangs slightly open and Seungmin is just absolutely shocked that his eyes widen considerably.
“Why are you here? Does mom know you’re doing this?” He starts blinking rapidly because he’s just so confused. Why was his brother here of all places? At auditions for the MGAs? It’s shaking him a lot just to see the older.
Seungmin blinks and looks to the other side of Jooyoung and finds his cousin, Hyojin, sitting near them too. Wow, it’s like a family reunion. “H-hyojin hyung? You’re auditioning for the MGAs too?” Shaking his head, he turns back to Jooyoung.
“Hyung… since when did you even like to perform? Do you sing or something?” Seungmin’s expression of confusion and shock slowly leaves his face as it turns colder. “Why didn’t you tell me you were auditioning? Nevermind, it’s not like you tell me anything anyways.”
Seungmin bites out that last harsh statement before turning away. The awkward silence between them is almost unbearable and he feels bad so he sighs before uttering one last thing to Jooyoung. “Good luck…”
For the rest of the waiting time, Seungmin faces towards Jeongin and Jisung and smiles as much as he can in hopes they don’t ask him anything. It’s hard pretending but he can’t let his brother being here affect him and his performance.
Finally, after all the contestants are settled and nestled into their respective seats, they reveal the judges who turn out to be the 5 CEOs of the big companies out right now. Seungmin stared in awe and clapped on cue, of course. He’s not surprised to see them considering they were here last season, but it’s nice. Although, since they’re the judges for this, it makes the performances seem scarier than normal. Something about this either being his last performance on stage or the beginning really unsettled Seungmin’s stomach. Naturally, he tries to will the nervous feelings down but he can’t really help it.
After the hundred of them give their performances, the CEOs will convene together to discuss who moves on and who doesn’t. Seungmin’s afraid of not making it. He’s afraid that his friends will get to hop to the next level and he’ll be left behind. This was different from last year when he managed to score an audience pass to watch some performances for MGA4. He dreamt about standing on stage and now that it’s so close and within reach, he’ll do whatever it takes to make it.
Seungmin exhales deeply and unclenches the fists that rested on his lap. He couldn’t let this get to him. Not now of all days. He had to relax or else his downfall will come sooner than later. One by one, contestants will be called to stand on stage and perform in front of everyone. Thankfully, he’s not called first and he watches with rapt attention at each contestant’s performance. Some are really eye-catching for sure and some he was okay with. There wasn’t anybody truly bad. Not like he could judge anyways. His performance might not be the best either.
Up next is a girl that catches Seungmin’s immediate attention. She’s pretty and looks mean -- like she could step on you and you would end up apologizing for getting in her way. Da-dum, da-dum. Seungmin flushes and clears his throat to will away the brush. Goddamn, this wasn’t some dating show for goodness sake. He’s so enarmored already and watching her performance that Seungmin notices when she turns to face the other contestants. He swears she winked at him. Him of all people. Or at least in his general direction. Either way, Seungmin flushed again and tried to watch the rest of it without embarrassing himself.
A couple more people went and it finally became Seungmin’s turn. With a smile towards his friends, his feet brought him on stage before the judges or the CEOs rather. Being requested to introduce himself, Seungmin smiled politely as his eyes crinkled with mirth. Bowing towards them, he stood back up straight and beamed.
“Hello and what’s up! I’m 18 year old Kim Seungmin from Seoul.” He points to his red hair and laughs. “Just like my red hair, I hope to show you all my firery passion on this very stage.”
He was ready to get into position until he heard some cheering and hooting from the contestant section and he knows Jooyoung’s voice more than anything and he flushed only slightly before trying to ignore it and focus on his performance.
With a nod of his head and the microphone in hand, he got into position. He quickly looked towards the direction of his friends briefly and wished they could hold his hand or something. He even glanced over at his brother, Jooyoung, and was surprised to see the older with the utmost attention on him. It made him feel shy but maybe just a tad braver. He wanted to show Jooyoung what he was capable of and what he had missed out on for the years he was gone.
Taking a deep breath again, Seungmin let the music filter in before lifting up the microphone to his lips and started singing.
I used to believe We were burnin' on the edge of somethin' beautiful Somethin' beautiful Sellin' a dream Smoke and mirrors keep us waiting on a miracle On a miracle Say, go through the darkest of days Heaven's a heartbreak away Never let me down, never let me down
It’s an English song because Seungmin feels very comfortable doing a cover like that. It’s actually a mashup of Justin Bieber’s Let Me Love you, Mario’s Let Me Love You and Ne-Yo’s Let Me Love You. Overall, it’s a slower mashup rendition of the three faster paced songs. But Seungmin likes to think that it matches quite nicely with a slower tempo. He’s not here to play any games.
Don't you give up, nah-nah-nah I won't give up, nah-nah-nah Let me love you Let me
Seungmin doesn’t move around much on stage. His performance wasn’t meant to be that flashy or showy. He wanted to showcase his vocals off more than anything.
Should let me love you Let me be the one to Give you everything you want and need The good love and protection Make me your selection Show you the way love's supposed to be
One hand on the mic and the other hand resting where his heart is and singing with his whole damn chest. Seungmin needed to bare everything out. In front of himself, his brother, his friends, the CEOs. He didn’t want to be that same shy boy who was terrified of standing on stage. He was different now. He knew he had what it took to be an MGA winner. He just had to make it.
Girl let me love you And I will love you Until you learn to love yourself Girl let me love you I know you are trouble Don't be afraid, girl let me help
Seungmin locked eyes with each and every CEO glancing at them briefly before looking elsewhere. Lifting his hand off his chest, he brought it up so he was holding the microphone with both hands.
Much as you blame yourself, you can't be blamed for the way that you feel
Surprisingly enough, Seungmin’s voice is a lot more melodic and honey-like than he originally lets on. He looks like a handsome and dandy kind of boy but doesn’t seem like he offers much. But when he sings, it’s a different side of him that people ought to know and hear. He wants to let his voice be heard as much as possible.
Girl let me love you And I will love you Until you learn to love yourself Don't you give up, nah-nah-nah I won't give up, nah-nah-nah Let me love you
The end of the song slowed down once again but he sang in such a gently sweet voice that matched with the aesthetic of the song. Maybe his voice wasn’t as good as other people’s choices. It was slower and you had to really be able to command the attention of everyone in the room. He wanted that more than anything. When he sang the last line, Seungmin slowly let down the mic from his lips and exhaled out in relief that that part was over. It all rest in the CEOs hands now.
Quickly bowing profusely at the CEOs and thanking them for listening and watching his performance, Seungmin managed his way back to his seat. He grabbed onto Jisung’s hand first and squeezed tight before making it back to his seat. He shut his eyes closed and immediately his hand found Jeongin’s to hold in the meantime. It was certainly an experience and he couldn’t help it how his hands were shaking considerably now. He’s thankful to have stayed strong during his performance but now he could maybe breathe just a little more and get the jitters out of him.

-Y/N’s P.O.V-
I crossed my arms and leaned back as I tapped my foot impatiently, “What the hell is taking him so long?”
“Relax he'll be here.” Niko said but even he didn't look to sure.
These meetings were always a toss up. Though he contacted Juzo and told him where to meet he told him if he didn't arrive within an hour to get out of there. We were already coming up to forty five minutes and Kyungsoo was still a no show. As the minutes ticked by my worries grew. I started to become paranoid, thinking back to the dream I had just a few days ago. Just as Niko was about to call it there were two knocks on the door, indicating that Kyungsoo was finally here. Niko being overly cautious called out to him, wanting to make sure it was really him.
“Open the door jackass.”
At those words we all let a smile grace our faces, Niko finally opening the door and letting Kyungsoo in.  Kyungsoo didn’t bother with greeting any of the others, coming over to me without wasting a second, enveloping me in his arms. I let out a soft laugh, hugging him back just as tightly.
“I missed you…” He said in a low voice, only audible to my ears.
“Me too. God, I still hate you for agreeing to this.” I said, pulling back from the hug.
He let out a chuckle, bringing his hands up to cup my face, “I still don’t regret it.”
I rolled my eyes at him but before I could say anything else Chanyeol chimed in, “Wow, this is touching really, I almost shed a tear but we have other pressing matters to attend to. Once we get those out of the way we’ll leave and you can have your fun with him for a few minutes.”
“You know if you weren’t my temporary partner I would’ve decked you in the face by now Park.” I said but detached myself from Kyungsoo anyway.
“I’d love to see you try sweetheart.” He said with a challenging grin.
Kyungsoo narrowed his eyes at the man before speaking, his words directed to everyone in the room, “You all need to get ready, they’re getting ready to hit a few small backs within the upcoming weeks. It’ll all lead up to them striking at the Shinhan Bank.”
“That’s the second largest bank in the country…” Juzo said, not believing that they’d actually rob a bank that big.
“Their security is tight...how--how would they get passed it?” I asked, thinking about all the measures that bank takes to protect it’s money and their customers.
“They’ve got one hell of a hacker…”
“Kim Jongdae.” I said, coming to the realization and cursing myself for being right as I watch Kyungsoo nod.
“So then that means those other three are also apart of their crew.” Niko said, sitting down as he processed all this new information.
“What other three?” Kyungsoo asked, looking over at me for an answer.
“Kim Minseok, Byun Baekhyun, and Oh Sehun.”
The look in Kyungsoo’s eyes that followed after I listed their names was one I had never seen before but he masked it quickly. I paid it no mind as my attention was quickly drawn over to Chanyeol as he spoke up.
“When are they hitting the first bank?”
“Tomorrow.”
-
I put my vest onto my desk, placing my pistol in it’s holster on my side as I leaned my twelve gauge shotgun against the desk. I looked down at my vest blankly, my mind elsewhere. The noise of the others getting ready was drowned out and before I could get too caught up in my thoughts I felt a hand on my shoulder. I followed the arm the hand belonged to, meeting Chanyeol’s eyes.
“Everything will be fine and go according to plan. Don’t think too hard, I can see the fumes coming out of your ears.”
He grinned when I went to punch him in the stomach but he moved away before I could. He went back to his own desk, leaving me to my thoughts once more. I thought of all the possible outcomes, Kyungsoo telling us only half of the group would attack, the others would be preoccupied with something else, though he wasn’t sure what that would be. Kyungsoo said he wasn’t one of the ones picked to go to today’s attack but did say it would be led by Sooyoung. Kyungsoo had wanted me to stay behind in the precinct while the others went and though I told him I’d try my best to convince the chief to let me stay behind a conversation like that never met the chief’s ears. I was never one to back out of a mission and I wasn’t going to start now, not even Kyungsoo could stop me. I didn’t come this far and build up my reputation to what it was now to back out of any little mission. It wasn’t fair to the others that were out risking their lives.
With a resolute sigh I grabbed my vest, putting it on carefully. I made sure it was on properly before adjusting the straps so it wouldn’t move when I did. I could hear the others begin to file out as I grabbed my knife and placed it in its rightful place on my thigh, grabbing my shotgun and followed after them. On the way to the van Chanyeol caught up with me, his own rifle hanging from his shoulder as he checked his pistol.
“Ready to get down to business?” He asked, a giddy smile on his face.
I cracked my neck before climbing into the van, Chanyeol sitting across from me, “As ready as I’ll ever be.”
Just as I said that the driver turned on the engine and we were off. With a heavy sigh I leaned my head back, closing my eyes shut to get into my job. I removed everything from my mind, letting my brain focus on the mission at hand and only that, even Kyungsoo was removed from my mind. Once at the bank we had to focus on getting out all the civilians that happened to be there, Niko and Juzo set up as fake security this morning to make sure nothing too extreme happened before we got there.
“I forget how serious you get before doing an assignment so big.” Chanyeol said, his voice breaking me out of the trance I was in.
“I do take my job seriously y’know.” I said, not even bothering to open my eyes to look at him.
“No matter how corrupt the system is?” He asked, referring back to the conversation we had a few days ago.
At those words I finally opened my eyes, looking over at him with a firm look in my eyes, “If I can save those that are innocent I will, corrupt system or not.”
He smirked at my words before looking away and out the windows of the back door. I gave a heavy sigh, pinching the bridge of my nose with my index finger and thumb. Minutes later and we had arrived, hearing the alarms in the bank go off seconds later. With a single word from me Chanyeol opened the doors. I had already assigned everyone their position, seeing two groups of three run up the side of the bank. Chanyeol gave a whistle, letting me know I was all clear to enter through the front with my group. I brought my shotgun up to my line of vision, making sure to look around me with each step I took. I signalled for Hyojin to open the door, Jun going in first. The moment we set foot inside the bank  two canisters were thrown in front of us, ones I recognized immediately.
“Masks on!” I shouted, barely managing to put my own mask on before the canisters let out the gas they contained though Jun wasn’t so lucky.
He was a little too slow, the gas getting to him quicker than it did Hyojin and I since he was the closest to is. Within seconds of inhaling the smoke he collapsed to his knees, using his arms to keep him upright as he began to cough violently. With my shotgun still up I looked around cautiously and made my way over to him. I grabbed onto the back of his vest and dragged him back, handing him over to Hyojin so she could take him outside and he could get the medical attention he needed. By the way he was coughing and crying out of his eyes I knew that one of the canisters was tear gas. I was about to go ahead on my own but before I could I heard Chanyeol’s voice come in through my earpiece.
“What the hell do you think you’re doing Y/N?” He asked, his voice stern.
“Continuing with the mission. I can’t sit around and wait for the others to come in. Have you gotten in touch with Juzo and Niko?”
There was a pause on his end before he replied with a stern no. I let out a curse, calling out to Jungho who was back at the office helping us out from there.
“What is it?”
“Think you can help me out with some infrared here?” I asked, knowing he could get into the camera feeds no problem.
I could almost hear the smile on his lips as I heard the sound of his fingers typing away, “Keep going straight, no one is showing up on the screens so you’re all clear.”
I followed what he said, keeping my finger on the trigger, “Any signs of Niko and Juzo?”
“Nothing. Once inside the main part of the bank the cameras are down. It’d take me a few minutes to get through the firewall they set up and we don’t have that kind of time,” There was a pause on his end before I heard him yell out my name.
Before I could react I felt a kick being delivered to my back. I stumbled forward, falling to the ground. I turned onto my back quickly, aiming my gun at whoever kicked at my back but I saw no one. I called out to Jungho, hearing nothing from his end for a second before he finally spoke.
“To your right.”
Without wasting another second I turned my body towards that direction, firing.
“Your left!”
I pulled back the mechanism that released the used shell and fired once more, knowing I missed again. I was unable to fire off another round, my shotgun kicked out of my hands. I felt a weight straddle my waist, hands coming up to my mask as they tried to pull it off my face but I refused to let them win. I fought against them, managing to push them off of me after just a few seconds. I heard them groan as I rolled over, and got on top of them. I could see a pair of eyes glaring right back at me through the mask. I recognized them instantly, the cat like eyes belonging to Sooyoung.
“Don’t underestimate me.” I told her through gritted teeth, successfully pulling off her mask as I delivered a swift punch to her face.
She managed to push me off of her, rising to her feet as she pulled out a knife. I pulled out my own knife, taking off my mask as I noticed the smoke had cleared, giving her a smirk when I noticed the angered look in her eyes. Without a word she lunged at me, missing as I dodged her attack, punching her straight in the jaw once more. She cursed loudly, swinging her knife once more but this time she managed to get to me. Her knife dug deep into my thigh, a groan getting caught in my throat. Before I could react she managed to do the same to me other leg, my legs giving out for a few seconds as I sank to my knees.
“You’re not as tough as you think you are.” She sneered out, taking a step closer to me.
I smirked at seeing her do so, giving me the opening I wanted. I got to my feet within seconds, taking a step forward and swinging at her. My knife cut across her stomach, Sooyoung stumbling back in shock. She looked down at the open wound on her stomach, the anger in her eyes as clear as day.
“Oh yeah? I’d like to beg to differ.”
“You sure talk big what that damn vest of yours on all the time. Why not give it a go without it, huh? Or are you too scared to fight without your safety net?”
I clenched my jaw at her words, Chanyeol’s voice coming in through the earpiece, “Don’t you dare take off your fucking vest, Y/N. I’ll go in there and shoot you myself if you take it off,” He all but growled out these words but they went in one ear and out the other.
I said nothing as I took out my earpiece before taking off my vest, seeing the surprise on her face, “Come on then.”
I gave her a taunting smirk, watching the anger swirling in her eyes. She let out a frustrated cry, swinging at my with her knife once more. I easily dodged it, thought I couldn’t say the same about the kick to the stomach she delivered. I lost my footing, stumbling back as I let out a low groan, the air being knocked out of me but I refused to hit the ground for a third time. She came at me relentlessly, only giving me enough time to block all her attacks. I wasn’t able to get a hit in, that is until I began to notice how she slowed down. Her stamina was running low. I dodged her attacked, raising the hand I had the knife in up, ready to plunge the blade into her shoulder but before it could make it to her shoulder she brought her own arm up, the blade lodging itself into her forearm instead. I looked at her wide eyed only to see a wicked grin spread across her face.
“Junmyeon sends his regards.” She said with a crazed look in her eyes.
The breath left my lips at the next thing I felt, grimacing at the pain. I looked down to see she had stabbed me in the stomach with her own knife. I clenched my jaw, tasting blood on my tongue as I staggered back. I could feel my energy beginning to give out but I wasn’t about to let escape for a second time. The look on her face said she had won and I was hellbent on being the one to take that look of her face. With groan I pulled her knife from my stomach, seeing the shock in her eyes. Before she could do or say anything I stabbed her through the chest, my eyes boring into hers.
“I would’ve liked to send something back to this Junmyeon fellow but I’m afraid he won’t be able to hear it.” I said in a low voice, watching her dead body hit the ground.
I took a step back, my legs feeling like jelly as they gave out. My knees hit the floor harshly, the blood loss finally getting to me. I fell forward and just before my upper body hit the ground beneath me I gave into the darkness that enveloped me.
