for isac can idols dress up for events like archery ? like how btob did
Yes, they may dress up for the archery! Both gymnastics and aerobics require different attires as well, but for the rest of the event, they should keep their uniforms.

For trainee evals this month, would the 'preparation' thread just be general training then as there isn't really an evaluation to be preparing for?
The preparation thread could be about their reaction to this month’s evaluation, discussing or planning what they want to do or even the d-day before the actual activity.

Are you brave enough to explore a haunted cinema?
As the light dims, your favorite theater chain in Seoul will host a spine-tingling film screening this Halloween in one of their buildings in Gangnam. For three nights (from October 30th to November 1st) starting at 8 pm and going until midnight, the cinema will get in an all-around spooky atmosphere and not only feature 15 classic and newer horror movies over the weekend, but also offer other activities in different rooms including scavenger hunt, themed crafts and photo booths. Visitors are encouraged to gear up as goblins, ghouls or their preferred characters to celebrate with them!
Besides the usual popcorn and nachos that will gain a special touch to suit the tematic, an immersive dining experience will also be available for those joining the event. The screening rooms will turn into eerie woodlands with hanging foliage, trees and smoke, so sit back, get as comfortable as you can and indulge the flicks that will have you screaming. The rest of the building and activity rooms should take you to a thrilling experience in a haunted cinema.
Upon arrival, every person will receive a sheet with items to find in case they want to join the scavenger hunt. Keep your eyes open for porcelain dolls, masks, Ouija board and more objects straight from the movies! These will be well hidden in the decoration and participants should photograph them with their phone as a proof they collected everything. If they manage to tick all the boxes, they can exchange it for movie tickets, dinner vouchers and other prizes.
While walking around the building and enjoying the spooky activities is completely free and people of all ages are welcome, those who desire to watch one of the movies should reserve their tickets in advance as the seats are limited and make sure the movie is suitable for their age. Tickets for his interactive movie experience featuring trivia with prizes after the movie cost 15,000 KRW and have a first-come, first served basis.
Get in your best costume for a ghoulishly awesome day!
* Both trainees and rookies are allowed to attend this event (including private/project HEARTZ members)!
AND HERE GOES A LITTLE REMINDER: Halloween is a lot of fun, but some aspects of it can be triggering to our members. We kindly ask everyone to look into this post and use trigger warnings when needed, especially in SNS posts and edits so everyone can have a good time and enjoy the event!
To earn +3 POINTS TO DISTRIBUTE AS YOU WISH, write a four-post thread or a 250+ words solo about your muse enjoying one of the activities. For extra +2 CREATIVITY POINTS, post a gifset or edit of your muse’s costume. Any reason to get spooky and rock the most extravagant costumes is a good one. This year, Samsung Group’s directors decided to reward their idols (from both seniors and rookie groups) for their hard work through preparation and promotions with an exclusive Halloween party named “Samsung Wonderland” that will take place on October 31st, Thursday, at Lotte Hotel starting at 8 p.m. It was announced today that artists of all five companies will come together to have fun, relax and show off their epic costumes.
Every idol received an official invitation for the special night through their managers on the 7th and were reminded this is also an event to promote the companies and groups, so it’s recommended that everyone attends the party as photos and clips of the night will be uploaded on the event’s official SNS. Idols will arrive with their managers and are free to enjoy the night, but should keep in mind media outlets, CEOs, sponsors, and other VIP guests will be among the attendees as well, so their behavior shouldn’t tarnish the company’s and their own image.
Rumors say that besides the fancy dinner and regular celebrations, Samsung will be holding a costume contest and the Best Dressed (read as the most creative) will receive a special prize at the end of the night, so save the date, pick your character and go all out in your costume!
* This event is restricted to idols!
To earn +2 POINTS TO DISTRIBUTE AS YOU WISH, write a four-post thread or a 250+ words solo about your muse enjoying the Halloween party. For extra +2 CREATIVITY POINTS, post a gifset or edit of your muse’s costume. Please tag all your posts related to the event with #rkwonderland20 and have them up by midnight EST at the end of October 31st, Saturday. Threads may be continued after the deadline, but after October 31st points can no longer be collected. Have fun!

One of the best and fastest ways to achieve good results in whatever career you choose to pursue is watching your seniors closely and experiencing things by yourself, that’s why trainees often monitor their performances as an exercise and go through different types of assessments every month. However, some experiences are restricted to those who already passed the trainee stage and became idols, which doesn’t necessarily mean that those still working for it have to wait until the day their dreams come true for a taste.
This month, while their seniors are preparing for ISAC and their other many activities, trainees will continue working hard and honing their skills through workshops and daily lessons with their coach, but instead of preparing a stage to perform at the end of the month, they will be given the chance to join the sports event. Before they get too excited, this is not some recreational nor P.E. time! Trainees will be there to volunteer and help the staff working for the event as well as support their seniors in different ways.
When a company coach approaches them to talk about it, trainees will be informed they can choose one of the four activities to help during the event. In case the said activity doesn’t require their help for the entirety of the event, they are allowed to join the fans and watch the games. They will be only attending ISAC recording on the first day, October 24th.
After the recording is over and both idols and fans are gone, trainees of the Big Five companies who volunteered to help have the chance to play the same games their seniors did and have some fun/experience the event in a different way as a reward for their hard work. They should choose up to three sports they would like to try and form teams with other trainees (different companies are allowed) for an amicable competition before they all head back to their companies and are finally free to go home.
Find more about the tasks below the cut.
In order to collect +2 POINTS TO DISTRIBUTE AS YOU WISH and +2 DEBUT POINTS, write one 250+ words solo or a four-post thread with another trainee involving the preparations for this month’s evaluation. For +3 POINTS TO DISTRIBUTE AS YOU WISH, +2 DEBUT POINTS and +1WK OF RELEVANT ACHIEVEMENT, write one 300+ words solo about your muse volunteering or playing the games. Please tag all your posts with #rkoct20eval and have them up by midnight EST at the end of Saturday, October 31st. Threads may be continued after the deadline, but points can only be collected if the requirements are met before it.

Food: To keep the loyal fans energized and fed, the companies prepare delicious snacks and lunch boxes for them. Trainees who choose to help with the food will be responsible for helping prepare the boxes for their sunbaes’ fans at the company, decorating it with stickers and handing them out to the fans through the day. They won’t be preparing any food and will get to enjoy the meals during the breaks.
Cheer: Filming the two-days competition is tiring for everyone, so it’s important to keep the energy up.  After setting up large banners prepared by the fans to support the idols, they will be watching the whole event and cheering up not only the idols but the fans watching. Either they come up with fanchants, little games to pass time or small events to keep everyone entertained, it’s up to their creativity.
SNS: Behind the scenes of a beloved event should be recorded and shared with fans around the world who couldn’t watch the event live. For this, some trainees will be helping to take pictures and record bts videos of their seniors. The content will be filtered by a company’s editor and posted later on their social media.
Test: To make sure everything is working properly for the competition, some trainees should arrive earlier on the 24th to test the stations, which means they will get to play before the show starts and inform the staff in case there’s anything wrong with equipments so they don’t waste time during the recording.

It’s time for your favorite idols to show off their athletic sides!
Idol Star Athletics Championships (ISAC), the biannual show that gathers many debuted K-Pop idols (from rookies to seniors in the industry) playing various sports and gives them the chance to have fun with members of other groups and their fans, is going to be recorded on the weekend of October 24th and 25th at Goyang Stadium in South Korea. The airing date has yet to be announced, it’s expected to be aired in November.
This year a total of 231 participants will be contesting in seven different fields, including short track (60m), 400m relay, wrestling, archery, bowling, aerobics, rhythmic gymnastics and e-Sports. Sun Hyukmoo, Unit Black's Oh Jinseok, K.ARMA’s Kil have been selected as the MCs for the event. In addition to the MCs, Convex’s Seonghwa and Eclipse’s Jennie will be on the ground giving reports and talking to the competitors. As “corner” MCs, NSG U’s Aron and AND*ROMA Sora will be reporting on special events.
For those who can’t wait to watch the show next month or wait for updates on SNS, fans of the participating groups are invited to be part of the audience and enjoy some fun time with their favorite idols. Seats are limited and each group gets a certain amount of tickets for their fans. To secure a spot at the event they must sign up through their official websites/fanclubs and arrive promptly.
Idols should arrive at 8:30AM with comfortable clothes. They will pose for the fans waiting for them then get in the gymnasium to get changed into uniforms provided for them and pin a tag with their names. After that, they will move to the red carpet to pose for the press in front of a backdrop as usual. There’s no fixed order and the first groups to arrive will be the first photographed and the first to enter the gymnasium for the recording. Fans are allowed to enter at 10AM to find their seats (they should sit in their favorite group’s area). The games are set to start at 10:30AM and will happen through the day until 8PM. Recordings will resume on the following day with the same schedule.
Although it’s not a concert, make sure to bring your lightsticks and slogans and prepare for a whole day with your favorite idols -- rumors say they even prepared delicious meals for the fans! Keep your eyes open not to miss any moment because it’s the perfect opportunity for any new friendships being formed or perhaps even something juicy like rivals and secret couples.
*Trainees participation at ISAC will come in a different post.

RKISAC20 UPDATE!
Since some muns approached us about finding it difficult to discuss details of rkisac20 with the group due to the lack of response/activity, we decided to change the way we’re selecting the teams and contenders for solo sports. Instead, submit your muse’s choices individually in order of preference to rkevent blog until midnight EST on September 30th, Wednesday. Feel free to add notes in case you don’t want to be included in a certain category or is okay being added in others in case the team needs more people to compete, remembering that the groups don’t need to compete in every category.
We’ll do it in a way to include everyone that shows interest and make things fair! The line-up will be revealed next month with the event’s details.
In case a group has managed to come with a consensus with all the group members they may send a list with each sports contestants as explained in the previous post.
And answering the question, while NSG members will take part in the event and should sign up for the sports, Heartz will not.

hi! can you clarify about the number of people necessary to sign up for a sport in isac? for example, can multiple members from one group sign up for gymnastics or is it just one person? do we absolutely have to have 2 people for bowling? how does this work?
The number of members necessary to sign up for a certain sport is specified here next to each category. For some sports (400m relay, wrestling, archery, bowling, aerobics), all the spots available should be filled for them to compete. Gymnastics is just one person per group. However, 60m race and PUBG allow more than one member, but the spots don’t need to be filled.

Note
can an idol take part in more than one event for isac?
Yes, they may take part in how many sports they wish!

Note
for isac would one member of the group submit what the members want to do? or do individual members submit what they're wanting to do?
Either way works! Just make sure you discussed it with your group and everyone agrees with it before submitting your choices to the blog so it’s fair and everyone can have fun!

In the morning of September 16th, all debuted groups are approached by their managers to discuss their appearance at the upcoming Idol Star Athletics Championships (ISAC) 2020, set to be recorded next month. After explaining a bit about the annual sports event that they all should know about already, they are presented with the categories for this year’s competition and are instructed to submit their choices through their managers so they can confirm everything with the broadcast station and schedule lessons for the big day. After making their choice, the idols will receive weekly lessons of their chosen sports to increase the chances of winning and getting more screen time.
You can find the categories below:
60m race (max. 2 per group)
400m relay (4 per group)
Wrestling (3 per group)
Archery (3 per group)
Bowling (2 per group)
Rhythmic gymnastics (1 per group - women)
Aerobics (5 per group - men)
PUBG (max. 4 per group)
Some of the categories are disputed in teams, so make sure to discuss this with your group before submitting them as they should be complete, just like deciding who will compete in the solo sports. It’s not obligatory to participate in all the categories and they can compete in more than one, but every group should join at least one of the sports to take part in the event. Submit your choices to rkevent blog until midnight EST on September 30th, Wednesday.

Knowing yourself and having a more objective understanding of your talents, potentials, fears and tendencies when dealing with certain events is important not only to grow but to be able to translate and comprehend your emotions, which is also the key for expressing yourself better, something artists do a lot through their songs, performances and writing. Whether their music or art in general is personal or talks about a random theme, idols should have the ability to embody the concept and find a way to connect and relate to it.
This month, trainees are gathered by their coaches in small practice rooms and told to look into themselves and their personalities for their monthly evaluation, because the song they will be performing at the end of the month should represent or connect to their zodiac sign in a way. Every sign is associated with positive and negative traits that one might embody or not. On the other hand, some people might not fit some of the stereotypes for their sign. However they feel about it, the idea is picking one of the characteristics and finding a track with the same message or vibe (reference).
On September 30th, trainees will reveal their zodiac sign and perform the chosen song in front of a small panel of coaches in one of Seocho’s practice rooms. For this month’s performances, they are told to either sing or rap live as usual while dancing is optional. Group performances are allowed, but there’s one rule: only people who share the same zodiac sign can form a group, so if you choose to not perform solo, the team has to be formed only by libras, capricorns and so on, depending on your muse’s sign. If you’d like, Chinese zodiac is also allowed and has to follow the same rules.
In order to collect +2 POINTS TO DISTRIBUTE AS YOU WISH and +2 DEBUT POINTS, write one 250+ words solo or a four-post thread with another trainee involving the preparations for this month’s evaluation. For +3 POINTS TO DISTRIBUTE AS YOU WISH, +2 DEBUT POINTS and +1WK OF RELEVANT ACHIEVEMENT, write one 300+ words solo about your muse’s performance for this month’s evaluation. Please tag all your posts with #rksep20eval and have them up by midnight EST at the end of Wednesday, September 30th. Until they officially debut under a sub-unit which will be coming soon to the 1/3 girls!

Hello, the heartz eval links the red summer vacation for the first part of "the Carol", but the release post only links the Carol, was that scratched, or is it still both? (since only those looking at the eval would even know)
It’s still the same idea, using both the original MV and the Red Velvet video! We used the ‘The Carol’ MV on the post itself so people can also be linked to the song.
