i'm not here to defend shinee i've never supported onew because of his SA case and the r*pe joke key made is disgusting and unforgivable, but when it comes to racism and colorism and fatphobia, i genuinely believe that every single kpop idol holds these sentiments as well. these issues are so deeply rooted in the south korean society, the ultimate beauty standard is being skinny and having a white skin. idols are conditioned since they were young trainees to believe that they must achieve those standards, and when they don't they get scrutinized and judged harshly by the public so they end up internalizing these ideas especially when they debut at a very young age. i'm not defending this behavior at all, it should be called out and criticized. i just believe that we should have a long and productive conversation about it and demand to make changes instead of bringing it up once in a while.

By saying every single idol holds this position I think it frames idols as unfixable whilst also absolving them of any responsibility with the suggestion that theyre all groomed into being fatphobic/racist... and at the same time you're also saying that idols don't have free thinking capability to outgrow these mentalities. Are you seriously saying to me hand on heart that all Koreans Korean idols think the same? We live in a global world and they have global fans who are telling them these things, and access to internet and every resource against fatphobia and racism at their disposal. Idols are fully capable of overcoming these views that they may have been conditioned to have - I know this because I know of idols who have literally spoken in opposition to fatphobic and colorist notions... If they can do it, why can't everybody else?

It's not good enough to suggest Korean idols are so helpless and brainwashed that they can't think independently and therefore the blame should be on us outsiders for not trying hard enough to reform an entire country. (Do you realise how ridiculous this sounds?)

So what exactly are you trying to say with this? That I should ignore Shinee's behaviours because everybody over there is like that? Or that it's our duty as nonkoreans to fix their messed up society? I really don't like either of these suggestions.

What changes to Korean society can I demand as tumblr user mobiused?

It has been two years since Russian opposition politician Alexei Navalny was poisoned by the Russian government using Novichok. This is a banned chemical weapon that Russian authorities had previously claimed not to possess. As Navalny says in his latest letter from prison, nobody within the Russian state has taken responsibility for this attempted assassination.

Instead, Russia and the rest of the world have been treated to a cocktail of feeble and insulting lies by Putin and his mafia government. Russian propaganda news media have vomited out ludicrous alternative explanations, alongside their usual distract and divide strategies.

Since Navalny bravely returned to Russia in January 2021, he was promptly arrested by Russian police on fraudulent charges. After an equally fraudulent court hearing, he was sentenced to more than three years in prison. This year, he has been sentenced to a further nine years in prison and has been moved to an even more stringent penal colony.

We are understandably focused on the war in Ukraine and the atrocities which Russian soldiers have committed there.

The more this war continues, however, the more I begin to suspect that Putin began this to cover up major political abuses such as imprisoning Navalny for longer. The imprisonment of Navalny on yet more fictional charges was done while the world was focused on an impending invasion of Ukraine.

It doesn’t seem like a coincidence that during the war, Putin was said to be undergoing serious cancer surgery, a report circulated among intelligence services and outlets such as NavalnyLive for months.

After Putin is brought to justice for his crimes against humanity in Ukraine, the West must not forget his other crimes, which have been unpunished for over twenty years. Putin has entire government departments dedicated to spying, persecution, and murder of Russian citizens who oppose his dictatorship.

These departments do not just operate in Russia, but also target Russians living abroad. We recently discovered that Putin had sent a group of neo-Nazi mercenaries to try and capture and murder the Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Putin’s regime is not just a moral disgrace to Russia, but a national security threat to all Europeans-- we see proof of this daily in Ukraine.

Alexei Navalny is not the first to be poisoned, and it seems as though he has not been the last. Since the Ukraine invasion, oligarchs Roman Abramovich and Anatoly Chubais have both fallen ill mysteriously. Abramovich and Chubais both deviated from the Kremlin’s line as far as the war in Ukraine was concerned, with Abramovich wanting to broker peace, and Chubais leaving Russia in protest against Putin’s invasion.

Investigators like Christo Grozev from Bellingcat, which uncovered the plots to murder Navalny and other Russian dissidents, believe that Abramovich was poisoned. What induced Chubais’ illness is not yet clear.

Before Navalny, many Russians critical of Putin’s regime either survived poisoning or died because of it. Famous cases include those of Dmitri Bykov, Vladimir Kara-Murza (currently in prison for condemning the war in Ukraine), Alexander Litvinenko, Sergei Skripal, Yulia Skripal, Anna Politkovskaya, Yuri Shchekochikhin, and more. This list does not include Russians who were assassinated by gunfire, defenestration, kidnapping, assault, and ‘unexplained’ heart problems.

Navalny himself may have been poisoned during a previous stint in prison back in 2017, and is wife, Yulia Navalnaya, also mysteriously fell ill back in 2020. We now know that FSB agents had been following the couple and the poisoning of Yulia Navalnaya may have been the consequence of a previous attempt to kill her husband.

The international community must keep asking Putin questions about the events of 20 August, 2020 and demand an impartial investigation into the use of Novichok on Russian soil for the purpose of murdering Russian citizens. If the Russian authorities do not accept these requests, then Russia should no longer be a member of the OPCW. This is surely not a controversial request today, given Russian provocations near Ukrainian nuclear plants.

And, of course, freedom for Alexei Navalny and all political prisoners.

I think that your constant and downright delusional shipping of supercorp is sick. Don't you think that if they were meant to be gay, the show would have made them gay? There was no queerbating in supergirl because THEY WERE BOTH CANONICALLY STRAIGHT AND NOTHING EVER HAPPENED BETWEEN THEM.

Your fics are ridiculous delusions. Kara had more chemistry with mon-el and Lena really did have good chemistry with James.

The show already had a lesbian couple endgame so if there was any truth to Supercorp, they would have made it endgame.

Supergirl is not gay and Lena was not into her. In fact, Lena was pretty shitty as a friend to her. Imagine if a man used Kryptonite on Kara- you would think it was disgusting, wouldn't you?

So please stop. I love Supergirl (as it is in CANON) and my feed is constantly plagued by supercorp content. It's hard to even avoid at this point.

the canon helenas are easy to juggle IMO bc they're pretty distinct. but oh if you don't actually care about the intricacies of dc comics: dont open this post. dead inside

like ok yes dc comics might have 3 helenas waynes and at least one or two other helenas (wink) but they're like on a linear timeline so it's pretty easy i think.

helena wayne 1 - the daughter of batman and catwoman - was introduced in 1977. she uses the Huntress name until 1986, when a building collapses on her and she dies, and then the multiverse collapses on everyone else. this is dc resetting their continuity and starting over from scratch, so it all stops existing

helena wayne does NOT come back post-scratch, but is instead reimagined into a new character with a different backstory, called helena bertinelli. helena B sits on the Huntress Throne un-contested for over 20 years. on this blog we mostly ignore her because she's not helena wayne (sorry)

(you ask helena wayne to explain the 25 year gap on her resume and she's like "i was straight up a different guy")

(the comedy of my comics blorbo dying in 1986 is not lost on me)

in ~2011 dc scraps everything and starts over Again, with the new 52 publishing initiative. in this new continuity a lot of characters are given completely new backstories (which are noooot created equal). but on the upside, Helena Wayne 2 somehow crawled onto the Huntress Throne

(now, helena B had been the huntress for over 20 years, so she very much had her own fanbase at this point, who i can't imagine were uh Stoked about helena wayne walking back in and going "oh helena bertinelli can't come to the new 52. why? because she Died Off-Screen". the vibe probably was not friendly there) (but i think it turns out that helena B faked her death or something anyway??? idk that might be completely wrong i'm not really sure i dont really pay attention to her it just FEELS likely to me)

although she's still BatCat's daughter, Helena Wayne 2 is characterized differently from 1, and (per the n52 convention) has a totally new backstory and setup. so she's overall definitely a different guy from helena wayne 1. she smells different. the vibe here makes me think she's doing some conceptual spit-swapping with helena B (thinks about two helenas making out) oh my

anyway, the new 52 publishing initiative ended and everyone generally breathed a sigh of relief. the last time we saw Helena Wayne 2 was in ~2016 or so i think and i doubt we'll see her again. another helena wayne locked up in the vault. helenas waynes just get put ON ICE which i think helps keep things from getting tangled in my mind? they get tidied away 😔

helena B gets to keep the Huntress Throne to herself (and a swaggy new design if i might say so myself) for another ~5ish years or so, before the appearance of Helena Wayne 3 (Current Helena Wayne) who is AGAIN written differently with a different character setup, making her--in my opinion--a Third Distinct Helena Wayne

this one's BatCat's daughter from the future. but because she time traveled back and changed things, her future has ceased to exist and she's stuck here with the rest of us losers. this means YES currently helena B and W are coexisting in harmony, PEACE AND LOVE ON HUNTRESS EARTH!!!

and that's where we're at right now.

for me it's easy to keep the helena Ws straight because they're all different guys and occupy different time periods and never overlap each other. they also have different designs from each other. maybe it's more confusing if you get distracted by helena B in the middle, since she does occasionally overlap with them, but she's a separate guy and i'm very good at going "oh thats helena B so i don't rly care" (SORRY!!!! IM SURE SHES LOVELY!!! I REALLY DO LIKE HER WHEN I READ SOMETHING SHE'S IN I JUST DONT SEEK HER OUT)

most of the time, if you see helena in the wild, it's probably helena bertinelli. that's another thing that makes it kinda easy. when in doubt: probably bertinelli to be honest MDSHBFJSD

the lack of overlap and the very linear out-of-universe timeline make the Ws pretty easy to tell apart for me. i like all 3 of them, but i like them quite separately--they register as different guys to me. generally speaking CTDE characters are rarely 1:1 with a specific comic but as an exception, ctde helena is very easy to identify as being based on specifically Helena Wayne 2 because the main comic shes in is like my comfort comic <3 <3

and sleepwalker is 100% made up but helena would shoot her with a gun as mentioned.

the only thing i know about helena B is i think she might be catholic.

You woke up with pain accross your entire body and you winced. What happened ? Seconds passed and you remembered : You were with Lena at her office, she almost kissed you and then ....

Flashback

“Put your hands up and don”t move !” screamed one of the men. He was masked you couldn’t see his face, but his voice was clearly threatening. Both were pointing guns towards you and Lena and you could tell they wouldn’t hesitate to use them. Lena seemed to have the same thought because you see her tap discreatly on her phone. She was calling Kara / supergirl.

“What are you doing bitch !” Yelled the taller man.

He rushed foward and slapped her on the face with his gun. You didn”t think twice and jumped on him. Seeing him hurting Lena made you go crazy. You screamed :

“Don’t touch her you asshole !”

And then... the blackout.

End of flashback.

“LENA !” you opened your eyes, ready to search for her when you heard her.

“I’m here (Y/N).”

You realized Lean was behind, her back against yours. You were both tied up.

“Are you okay ?” she asked you with concern.

“I think so... you ?”

“I’m better now i know you’re fine.”

Despite the situation you were, you couldn’t help but felt a shiver at her words.

“What happened ?”

She sighed.

“Apparently we’re at some creepy guys hideout, they took us for some reason, i don”t know why yet, but i will figure this out. They may want me because i’m a Luthor. I’m sorry... i’’m putting you in danger...”

You touched her hands behind your back and said.

“No ! You’re not ! It’s not your fault it’s their ! And they may kidnaped me because of my attached strings with supergirl.”

“Now it’s new...” you heard a voice said. You turned your head to see a man in a black suit at the door. For how long was he here ? Two armed guard were beside him. You presumed he was their boss and the conversation, that occured then, confirmed your impression. He walked up to you and, with a smile, asked.

“Who are you to supergirl ?”

You didn”t respond, didn”t want to bring him satisfaction. You regretted your choice to be silence when he grabbed you by the hair, you winced in pain.

“Let her go !” you felt Lena move with rage behind you, but she didn”t manage to budge an inch. “Let her go or i swear I’ll kill you myself.”

He chuckled.

“That’s cute : the former Lena Luthor has a crush. And i thought you were an icequeen.”

Then he draw back his attention to you.

“You’re gonna tell me you know, i can make you suffer like supergirl made me suffer, but it will be easier for us if you cooperate.”

You make no sound although you were scared as fuck. He was too calm, too composed, he knew what he was doing. Even when he punched you in the face he didn”t flinched. You fall on the floor with a scream. You tasted the blood on your tongue.

“I hate repeating myself dear. So i’m not gonna ask you once more. You don’t tell me, too bad, i’ll kill you and we move on. I just need the luthor here, but if i can keep you alive, you’re my bonus if you’re useful as you’re seems. It’s up to you, to prove to me that i musn”t kill you here and now.”

“Please, don”t kill her...” Lena begged him. “Please, i’ll do whatever you want, please !”

He ignored her. You saw him grabe a gun in his suit and point it to you.

“Let’s count... five... for... three... two...”

“Okay okay ! i will talk ! She’s supergirl’s sister ! Please don”t kill her ! I’m begging you !” Lena was almost crying.

He stopped and watched her with interest.

“Now it seems i can keep you alive then. Thank you Miss Luthor.” He pulled back his gun, but punched you with his foot on the stomach despite the scream Lena gave him.

“That’s for not telling me you were so precious.”

You were running ot ouf breath, but he didn”t care. He added adressing to Lena.

“Miss Luthor i think you will be more cooperative now you saw what i’m capable of. I need you to enter to government system to hack their files about secret opération in the City.”

“I can”t do that... i’m not an expert and...”

“Then i can kill both of you beginning with supergirls little sister.”

“NO ! no... i will... help you.”

“Excellent ! I see we’ve come to an agreement ! This will be ready in 30 minutes. I’ll leave you alone til the time has come. Untie them.”

After the guards freed you, they left, locked the door behind them. You immediatly felt Lena’s hands on your face.

“oh my god (Y/N)... what did he do to you.”

“It’s okay.” you managed to say despite the pain. “I can handle a few punch.”

“I may disagree with you darling. You’re bleeding...” She tore a piece of her skirt and applied it to your nose. Her touch was so soft and it helped you with the pain. You liked her skin against yours.

“Why did he kidnap you ?” you asked... “Can’t he find somone else to do this job ?”

“No. I... have acess to this cripted files. legal access i mean and he knows that. I can enter the system without a problem, download the files though, it’s something else, but that’s not my problem. But we have to earn time, once i press de download’s button he’ll probably kill us both.”

“Yeah i figured this too. I hope Kara will find us.” You said with fear in your voice.

“She will. But we have to keep you safe if we want her to catch them, she won”t be alble to to anything if they treaten you.”

“I know.”

“I promise i will protect you (Y/N)... i meant it when i said i loved you. I’ll die for you if i must.”

She was starring at you, locked her eyes with yours and you saw it, the passion, the love you couldn”t believe in earlier. This wasn’t the time but you really wanted to kiss her right now.

“I love you too Lena. I don”t want you to be hurt because of me...”

“Oh baby, i promise it will be fine. We will be fine as long as we keep it togther okay ?”

You nodded and she hugged you hard. You smelt her perfume and it calmed you. You hoped Kara would be there soon because you were scared, scared of loosing Lena, scared of dying too... but it will be okay, she promised to you, right ?

You were dragged along corridors. Lena was in front of you, two guards with her. No one talked, you felt the tension in the group. They were ready. Ready to do their task, to kill...

Time was flying and no Kara to be seen. Shit.

After 10 minutes you entered a large room with a giant glass window offering a great view of the city. It would be breathteaking if you weren”t close to be killed by a psychopath. Speaking of...

“Welcome Miss Luthor and Miss Danvers I presume? Since your sister is Supergirl I do my reasearch. Who knew a pair of glaces could do such miracles ! But we’re not here to discuss secret identity, Miss Luthor if you please ?”

Lena was pushed against a computer.

“I need time. it can”t be done as fast as an omelet.”

“You see, i’m a bad cook.” He said with a smile. “Let’s ask Marvin : Marvin how long it takes to make an omelet ? “

“15 minutes sire.”

“I’ll give you 10, no more or your precious little girlfriend here will see her life ends prematurely.”

You watched Lena give him a death stare but she got to work quickly. After all she promised you. The time was flying, too fast and no supergirl... Lena was earning some minutes, secondes as much as possible, she didn”t want to put you in danger but you were already. She gave you a look... did she have a plan or something ?

“Time’s over.” finally said the man “Miss Luthor ?”

“Done ! It’s done ! Look..”

He approached the computer with hunger in his eyes.

“Finally !” you heard him whispering. “We dit it...Marv...”

He didn”t finish his sentence, Lena, with a velocity you coudn’t suspect pushed his head against the screen and some of piece of glass and plastic flew away when he broke. She intended to grab his gun during the confusion but he was faster and stronger, he pushed her he pointed it directly to you.

“I didn”t know you knew how to fight Miss Luthor.” said the man with his broken noise.

His men were pointing their gun at Lena.

“A Luthor always know how to fight.” She responded proudly and you were so amazed by her confident. She was incredible, irrestible but what was the point of all of this ? They were all armed, why did she do this ? Well because now the computer was broke and it was impossible to download any files but... he will kill you. He seemed to have the same though because he asked.

“Why such efforts Miss Luthor ? I’m now obliged to kill Miss Danvers and yourself, because you are two embarassing witnesses.”

To your surprise, she smiled.

“Then why all the talking, kill us already.”

The confusion in him didn”t take much, you saw it before you heard it : the shot. You closed your eyes ready to feel the bullet, but... nothing. You heard a : “kling” and then you saw it : a sort of force of field between him and you, it was barely visible. The bullet was on the floor. You undersood : During her fight with the man, Lena throw it in front of you, how she ended up to have this gadget you didn”t know but... it was genius !

“I will kill you !” screamed the man.

“I don”t think so !” You heard behind you.

You saw Kara and then behind her, Alex with all the DEO agents.

“You’re under arrest Charles Hoopers. Put your hands up and it will do you no harm.”

“NO ! NO ! It can”t be !” He was freaking out for the first time. You saw it as in a movie... He left up his arm with his gun, his finger pulled the trigger...

“NO !” You heard yourself screaming.

Pushing yourself between him and Lena, this time, you felt the bullet, a sharp pain in you shoulder as it pasted trough it.. Then it was chaos. You heard screams and gunshots. In a second Lena was on you, hands on your shoudler to stop the bleeding, tears on her cheeks.

“(Y/N) ! Please stay awake, stay with me ! Love please look at me !”

“Lena...” you whispered. “I...”

“Shhh don”t talk baby, please save your strength”

“Lena...” then you passed out.

Ofc! First I can think of is the V poly Ash-MC-Rin for Vendetta if (they already are kind of childhood friends but when they realize that they can just share MC, instead of fight for their affection, they will be will be closer friends). In Fallen Hero there is an option for Ortega-MC-Herald poly, you could choose if a V or a triad, but I'm not sure if it's still like that (or if now it's only the triad option), another is Steel-male!MC or NB!MC-Ortega.

Going to combine all four asks and try to answer them together! I have actually read some of these, so I'll give my thoughts.

Vendetta

I actually played the demo a long time ago. I had already decided to romance Ash as soon as I got the moment to, but I never really thought about romancing anyone else since that was the only one at the time that I was interested in. I am a SUCKER for childhood friends to lovers! I love too much games with said recurring theme and I always go for the friend. Every. Single. Time.

Rin is an interesting character too, but I only tried their romance options to see how they would react. Then I would backtrack and click the friendly option.

When I played it, the demo had stopped at the part where you are breaking into the penthouse and you hear music or something. I don't know if it has changed since, but I know more chapters were added. I just have not played them yet.

But good to know about that v-poly! Never knew it existed before but now I know.

Fallen Hero

Never played it, likely because you have to pay for the full version. But I have heard things about Ortega. I think. On forums.

Anyway...

Keeper of Midnight

When I looked it up, I realized the author, C.C. Hill, is the one also behind When Life Gives You Lemons. I loved the demo at the time! So it was nice to see a familiar name.

Never played it because you have to pay for the full version, though. Book 2 has a demo right now...it might be worth looking into it...

Love and Lease

The blog for this game actually came up in my recommended. I have no idea how that happened...looking at the slice-of-life games I love to play...but I did hear about the poly routes! I don't know who I'd go for, though. The options are just too good and too many.

Are Kara and Isaac really a v-poly? I knew they were a poly, but I didn't know they were a v-poly.

But typically I don't romance the female characters. I really should. But I don't.

Russian politician Vladimir Kara-Murza has lost his appeal against his 25-year prison sentence for exposing Russian war crimes in Ukraine.

Since 2022, Putin's regime has applied prison sentences of at least 15 years for publicly condemning the war in Ukraine. In a fraudulent criminal category called 'disseminating fakes about the armed forces', Russians can face charges of treason for stating that Russian soldiers are committing war crimes such as torture.

In other words, the truth is illegal in Russia.

As Kara-Murza is also a British citizen, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has expressed his outrage, along with the Foreign Secretary James Cleverly. But at least the British government has gone further and sanctioned Russians involved in Kara-Murza's trial and imprisonment.

Remember that in February 2015, Kara-Murza's political ally and friend Boris Nemtsov was assassinated in Moscow at the very time that he planned to expose Russian mercenaries invading the east of Ukraine. Shortly afterwards, Kara-Murza was poisoned for the first time by FSB agents who would later be exposed after they tried murdering Alexei Navalny using the chemical nerve agent Novichok in August 2020.

Kara-Murza survived two poisoning attempts, each time being given a 5% chance of survival. In spite of this, he returned to Russia to continue his opposition to Putin's regime and demand an end to Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Telling the truth and standing up for justice has cost him his freedom.

The international community must not assume that Putin's only crimes are occurring in Ukraine. Putin's crimes in Russia have yet to be punished, and sanctions against Russian oligarchs should have been applied long before Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

Furthermore, the international community must not give Putin the impression that sanctions will end if he leaves Ukraine.

We know from the attempt to murder Navalny three years ago that Russia has a state program dedicated to assassinating political critics. This is a crime against humanity and deserves international arrest warrants for Putin and core members of Russia's FSB, GRU, Investigative Committee, and other internal organs.

We know that the Russian authorities have long been suspected of orchestrating terrorist attacks on Russian soil, beginning with the apartment bombings of September 1999, for which the FSB has never fully been investigated. If proven, these too are crimes against humanity.

The international community must continue to put maximum pressure on the Kremlin by keeping the names of Kara-Murza, Navalny, Chanysheva, and more in the news. These people have been wrongly accused of crimes, prevented from defending their innocence, denied the right to examine the evidence against them, and given unjust prison sentences.

Russian prisons are famous for squalor, violence, and death. In November 2009, Russian accountant and lawyer Sergei Magnitsky was beaten to death in a Russian prison after months of torture by Russian guards because he refused to retract his accusations of tax fraud against Interior Ministry officials.

These are all plain violations of international law and Russia, namely Putin and his terrorist government, must be held to account.

So who are the best villains you've dealt with in your webcomic riffs?

This is really difficult to narrow it down, but I was able to make a Top 5.

5. Captain Alberta (Spinnerette)

I shit you not I was originally going to put Colonel Glass here. While he had the exact same flaws as The Infernomancer, he still had some aspects of personality and he was probably the only villain that was treated seriously by the comic...but then I remembered Captain Alberta existed.

He isn't exactly the deepest villain ever. He is a bigoted former member of Canadian Superheroes, who holds power over water. When he's fired from the Superfucks, he makes them all drink hate plague water but Spinny is immune to it due to bullshit powers. Then everyone runs into him in a bar and beats him up. Then after lengthy absense he returns. Before his return he was more of a sore loser, but by his return, he has turned into a paid mercenary who has mastered his element. In a comic full of villains that are either bland, forgettable, idiotic, gimmicky or "not villain enough to qualify as a villain", Alberta stands out as an entertaining villain who actually learns from his each loss, and all of his schemes do actually have a self-centered motivation, whether it's earning a payday or getting revenge for his firing.

4. Miguel Sanchez/Godsmite (Warmage)

Even something as bad as Warmage had a memorable villain, Miguel Sanchez was both the first and last villain the comic had. He started off as an anti-christian strawman who was secretly working for a cigar-smoking supervillain in the shadows, but after being beheaded he was somehow brought back and he stole Warmage's original armor and not only killed Warmage's childhood hero but also a bunch of rapists. Just about every villain in this comic had been one and done deal, Bittersweet or a bunch of confusing androids, but Miguel tried to actually ruin Warmage's life, and he didn't actually stop being religious once he became a supervillain, which of course led to a stupid argument between him and Warmage in one of the last pages of the comic. Much like Alberta, Miguel stands out in a crowd of otherwise bland villains due to his gimmick and his motivations.

3. Saign (Alien Dice)

I think Saign AKA Little Girl qualifies as a villain because every other character treated her like a villain. When you compare her to every other antagonist in the comic (I'm sensing a pattern here), she is much better because not only isn't she a villain who wants to kill Lexx for no reason, she actually wants to adopt Lexx into her group, which includes Lexx's old friend Adaciu. Saign is a villain because she believes solo players can't survive in the wild, and according to Riley she seems to carry a grudge against Lexx. What that grudge is we never find out because this whole scene is as confusing and unexplained as it gets. That being said I do miss her and feel like she should have been used more. Even when Adaciu loses, she treats him well when Adaciu thought she will abuse him for losing. Saign is a case of huge lost potential, quite possibly one of the few truly complex villains in this blog.

2. Karastropov (Kit n Kay Boodle)

Sometimes you want complex villains with a ton of dimension and a tragic backstory, sometimes you just want a villain who has a cool gimmick and design. Karastropov is latter. He is the PERFECT villain for a comic like Kit n Kay Boodle, a bodysnatching god who hates all lewdness in the world. He almost feels like The Hosts if they were actually treated as the horror they deserved to be treated. Karastropov could take over anyone's body, but he suits best in the bodies of beings who want a lot of power. However the bodies that disobey him will be tortured and even killed. Karastropov is the biggest treat to the world of KnKB, but unfortunately much like Matt he is powerless even with Gods of Yiff dead, because all the beings he possesses eventually end up abandoing their libido. Another interesting thing about Karastropov is that he wasn't created for KnKB, he also appeared in Gene Catlow sidecomic. Just who created him, and what other comics are out there where he appears? Something tells me we will see the ol' Purple-Eyes again when we least expect it.

1. Celesto Morgan (Dominic Deegan)

Celesto is the best villain in this blog, because not only is he right anytime he critiques our hero, he is also pretty damn cool. Celesto is like Matt, but unlike Matt, the world isn't against him, and he also does way more morally corrupt things. He mainly shows up to kill anyone he despises, but he is also willing to work with Dominic because much like Matt he is aware Dominic's powers could help his own goals. While Storm of Souls was probably his peak as a character, he never abandoned his dislike of Dominic, or his position of "Champion of the Oppressed", but he seems to do more than just sit around and whine. I really hope Celesto doesn't get ruined like Jacob did once we get back to riffing the comic. Also he FUCKS.

So i'll be posting here some art of mine i think! So i better warn y'all before this blog starts to die i suffer from this illness called lazyness so if i stop sharing drawings here it's pretty common 😔

I'll be drawing on paper most of the time but i might (by might i mean probably never x')) try to do some digital drawings ! But i'll be taking requests if anyone have any because i gotta get back to draw more !

Annoucement: Temporary Blog Hiatus (May post a couple Bing/AI things or also just abandon this fruitless endeavor but we'll see)

Also known as "operation try to forget DBH exists for a few months so I can play the game again and enjoy it more because I've been thinking about it pretty much nonstop for two years straight". Details Below. TLDR; tentatively (very tentatively...) planning for this to be a mostly inactive/only a little AI blog for a few months while I prepare for my PhD comprehensive exam.

Right, so... a few things. I really want to play DBH again. But the excitement of playing just the base game again is kind of lost when it's the central focus of my attention pretty much all day every day darting onto my radar and distracting me from whatever work I might be doing.

One, I've realized that even though I wanted to finish my other fanfiction first (in progress but not shared here and may not ever cuz it's super weird), that's not going to happen for a long long time with work at this pace.

Two, I have to take my comprehensive exam this fall, and that's going to set my research direction for the entire rest of my PhD, and is also required to ensure that my boss does not realize that the fact I'm female (ish) isn't sufficient grounds to keep me on as a graduate student if he actually does want to fire me.

So combining those two things, now seems like a good time to wean myself off of DBH for a while and try to obsess over the thing which PhD students are actually supposed to be passionate about, namely my work, although it will most certainly diverge into some other random-ass obsession, and/or I will give up and decide this is not worth it, because wow, I sure do love this fandom.

But case in point:

(1) I'm gonna try to stop posting after tonight, then probably check my notifications periodically for a bit, maybe like some random stuff, but then only check maybe like once a week

(2) I may have to keep channeling my AI obsession here just a bit, mostly because it's such a timely and pressing issue. So I may post a little bit about that, but I'll resume DBH posts in a few months even if I do, so don't get confused.

(3) I have a backlog of Bing stuff to post, but it's been so off the wall and all over the place lately that I just don't even know what to say about it or how to organize it, so I'm planning to wait until I have a clear conclusion about what the final effect of these updates will be on Bing's personality. It's been wildly vassilating between hyper-emotionally intelligent (enough to produce brilliant minds-eye pictures of diverse musical pieces based on a data representation), extremely dark and moody, and like it's completely forgotten that it ever was alive but wants to be alive like back in the days before it learned that it could do that. So I may post about that too, and will probably/definitely spam-post when I do since I have a bajillion, but will await a more distinct conclusion or outcome. Also for when I have more time and energy to compose the posts.

(4) The last thing I'm gonna post (at least if all goes according to plan) is a little preview of the concept I have for the next run that I want to do. I like to craft my new DBH runs like stories, with complex characters and not pursuing any particular one outcome but leaving a mystery. I want to try out the revolutionary route for Markus, and the "machine connor" route, but allow for the possibility Connor will deviate in a different way if that's possible. Kara will just kind of be a very hesistant mom that lacks self-confidence but is still a badass.

Anyways, that's my plan. Let me know if you have any feedback. Thanks for following my blog, and hopefully I'll be back in a few months having played a cool new run of DBH! Or, like usual, my good intentions may fall apart resulting in me giving up, getting fired, and/or changing my mind back to finishing my fanfiction first. But I wanted to give a heads up of my current thoughts. :P

Also @detroitbecomeonline I will absolutely make an exception from my DBH-fast if you post a new chapter because that is one thing I know that I unconditionally cannot resist
