Imagine Crowley is captured.

Imagine Metatron wants to kill him.

Imagine Aziraphale only finding out because he can suddenly feel Crowley is close, so he has to be in Heaven but where?

So he goes looking for him. Quickly. He’s worried. Something doesn’t feel right. There is something very wrong. He’s panicking.

He finally finds Crowley, being held down by archangels, and he’s trashing trying to escape them, wounds on his body bleeding on the floor.

Metatron is standing over him with Aziraphale’s flaming sword.

And Aziraphale screams what are you doing to him?!

And other angels grab him to stop him from trying to go between Metatron and Crowley.

Leave him alone!

Now it’s Aziraphale trashing, trying to push them away as they’re pulling him away from Crowley.

He stops terrified seeing them pulling Crowley into a kneeling position, Metatron nearly pressing the sword to the side of Crowley’s neck. He’s shaking from the pain, as still as possible to avoid the sword actually touching him, but it’s already burning his skin.

Aziraphale realises that they’re hurting him with his sword. They’re trying to kill him with his sword.

And then he sees Metatron taking a swing and Aziraphale screams.

NO!

Crowley opens his eyes because he’s not sure if he died or… he wasn’t dead. Metatron is starring at him terrified. Crowley is still kneeling. The sword is an inch away from Crowley’s heart. Frozen in place. The fire was out.

Crowley looks to the side and Aziraphale is kneeling, and there is a white glow surrounding him, his halo shining bright over his head.

Is he so bright that it makes Heaven suddenly look grey or he took all its power to save him?

There were tears in Aziraphale’s eyes but not from regret. He was angry. He was so angry and betrayed. So terrified for Crowley.

You are going to fall for this!

Crowley could hear Metatron’s sneer towards Aziraphale but the angel and demon were still looking at each other, eyes locked. Crowley felt anger building in him at Metatron’s words, but he was so exhausted and hurt…

And then he felt energy coming back to him and he knew it was Aziraphale.

You fool!

Metatron shouted at Aziraphale and Crowley felt more than anger, something breaking in him too.

You see, demons could do very little while in Heaven, any demonic move impossible.

But Aziraphale just cut Heaven’s power off.

And Crowley felt all his demonic powers awakening and rushing into him all at once.

He saw Metatron taking a step back and Crowley smiled. It’s a smile Aziraphale would have been terrified of normally.

Aziraphale has never seen Crowley’s true demonic form before.

And here he is, right in front of him, in Heaven out of all places, eyes turning red and looking at Metatron, dark shadows surrounding him, there is a sneer and a hiss in the air that feels like it’s coming from everywhere, but it’s Crowley and suddenly his black wings appear, bigger than ever, throwing the archangels away from him harshly.

And Aziraphale thinks he looks like the devil.

No. You are going to fall today.

And Aziraphale swears Crowley’s lips have not moved yet they heard the terrifying voice, and Aziraphale gasps shocked because Crowley is standing up, his wings putting them all in darkness and Metatron’s wings start burning.

He screams and Aziraphale has never seen anyone fall but it’s terrifying and Metatron disappears after a long, painful moment.

Aziraphale can feel the power snapping again and he stumbles because he can’t hold it anymore and the bright whiteness hits him and Crowley.

At once he sees Crowley’s wings disappearing, as well as the darkness surrounding him and the red colour from his eyes, and Aziraphale catches him in his arms as he collapses.

Crowley…!

ok i want to talk about aziraphale’s reaction to The Kiss. (yes i’m talking about The Kiss again, it lives rent free in my head)

he looks both desperately confused and angry. he’s upset in ways he can’t fully express to crowley or honestly, even to himself.

and i think what’s happening here is that azi can’t handle the fact that crowley’s actually leaving.

because crowley always comes back. after the bandstand breakup, he comes back. after saying he won’t help hide gabriel jim, he comes back. in multiple minisodes where they say they don’t need each other or it’s been decades apart, crowley always comes back.

and this is the crux of the issue, crowley is always the one to come back. crowley goes back to the bookshop, crowley shows up to save aziraphale in azi’s damsel in distress moments. crowley is always the one coming back. never aziraphale.

yes of course azi loves crowley. i think, in some ways, he understands that love more than crowley does for most of the story (even if it’s HEAVILY repressed, and that’s on religious trauma). but azi never does the coming back. he does the waiting. he waits for crowley to realize he was wrong. he waits for crowley to save him (because saving azi makes him so happy).

i think. maybe just a little. aziraphale thought that crowley’s Kiss was him coming back. that it was crowley realizing he was wrong and that he should come back. (also, just throwing this out there. AZI KISSED BACK. AZI HELD CROWLEY AS CLOSE AS HE COULD. HE LEANED INTO IT.) but The Kiss wasn’t crowley coming back. it was a last goodbye. a last “we could’ve been Us. do you see what we’re losing? DO YOU?!”

obviously there was a lot going through his (and crowley’s) minds. a lot of emotions, a lot of pent up anger and frustration, a lot of everything honestly.

but i think part of azi’s anger and sadness post Kiss is because he genuinely thought crowley would come back. because crowley ALWAYS comes back. azi can’t admit that he’s wrong (and if i’m being honest, i don’t think either of them is really wrong per say but that’s a topic for another day)

and the thing is. crowley didn’t come back but he didn’t leave either. yes he walked out of the bookshop but he stood there waiting for azi right up until he was sure azi was actually gone.

for once he gave azi the chance to come back.

crowley didn’t hide in his car. he didn’t drive off before aziraphale could say something else. he stood outside the bentley in clear view. crowley wanted azi to be the one to come back for once. he would’ve been so elated if azi had come back and gotten in the bentley. but azi didn’t. because azi doesn’t do the coming back… at least not yet.

i've seen a lot of people talking about how it was out of character for aziraphale to decide to return to heaven, but i really don't think it is. you know the whole thing about how a flaw is just a base character trait exaggerated until it becomes harmful? this is that!

think about it. aziraphale knows what he likes and he likes what he knows. he found a waistcoat he was fond of and he wore it for two hundred years. he instinctively cleaves to what's familiar, and his natural optimism (if i'm in charge i can fix things!) together with a fondness for the status quo (everything will be just like it was!) and a fear of the unknown (if i strike out alone with crowley, what will happen?) are combined here to disastrous effect. set that against crowley's experimental, freewheeling, anti-authoritarian tendencies, and the fact that neither of them ever actually fucking Communicate with each other, and you've got a perfect storm on your hands.

aziraphale is stubborn and inflexible - that's partly his base personality and partly heaven's influence, and it's not a bad thing on its own. there's nothing wrong with always wearing the same clothes and eating at the same restaurant and listening to the music you already know you like. but isolate that trait and take it to its logical extreme, and yeah, of course it was always going to lead down this road. the way things stand, it couldn't have happened any other way.

I’m trying to think about Silver’s curse, but it always turns back to “blame everything on Crowley hour” axjxjsuwbz. Reflexes, my bad.

But I read a theory that Silver might be the son of the Dawn Knight and Princess Leia, which is why the Silver Owl guards were so surprised and almost recognized him. There’s so much time and curse shenanigans that I think it’s totally plausible. After all, sleeping curses can last way longer than a normal human life span.

But if it’s a type of curse that no medical mage can even figure out or detect, it must have been caused by some seriously powerful magic. Book 7 is introducing a lot of new characters, so I’m not positive on who could be the caster. At the moment, I’m guessing it’s someone from the Draconia family. Something happened to Mallenoa, and who knows where Levan/Revan is (*cough* NRC).

If Mallenoa was killed by the Silver Owls, or specifically the Dawn Knight, it would make sense that someone would come back for revenge and curse that child of the knight. Since Silver was just found as a baby in the middle of no where, perhaps he was already under the sleeping curse for a very long time, preventing him from aging until Lilia found him. This, or I could totally see the caster cursing ALL of the Dawn Knight’s descendants to be like this, but the ring that seems to be connected to Silver may suggest otherwise 🤔

So far, my two candidates for the curse are either Mallenoa or Levan, who seem to be on another level of magic, especially Mallenoa. Perhaps before she was killed, she cursed the Dawn Knight’s descendants. Or perhaps after she was killed, Levan went for revenge and placed the curse himself.

There’s also the question on why Silver was accepted as a student to NRC in the first place 🤔 Kalim is there because of money lmao, and Rook is…Rook. But Silver’s circumstances are just odd. I’m not sure if the Dark Mirror would personally select someone like Silver, unless Crowley made another back door deal to let him in. As seen with Kalim and Rook, Crowley has overridden the Dark Mirror’s authority before, and it’s interesting how these two characters are part of the “light magic trio” that includes Silver.

Am I the only one who thinks “you go too fast for me Crowley” was meant literally?

idk it makes so much sense to me that Aziraphale just didn’t feel like going 90mph and maybe wasn’t in a great mood cus y’know he basically just gave Crowley a suicide pill so he said that and meant it literally.

But maybe Crowley interpreted it the other way and like imagine how funny it would be if in s3 they have a conversation about that interaction and Crowley confronts him on what you go too fast for me was about cus he’s been fixated on it for like 60 years and Aziraphale’s all confused lmao.

but then again I guess interpreting it the other way would also make sense especially with that one scene that got cut (I don’t have the photo but it’s the one with the Halo symbolism)
