did anyone else have a isekai webcomic phase or was it just me ajsbdbdbdb anyways
Isekai AU where you are a sibling of sin or something and you are sent back into time and reincarnated in place of Sister Imperator around the time when Copia is still very young, maybe only a few years old.
Primo isn’t Papa just yet, but he’s being trained/prepared for it. Nihil is obviously a shitty dad and none of them have their mothers around— so you decide to say ‘Fuck It’ and decide to become their parental figure.
At first Primo and Secondo are suspicious— Terzo is still a little too young to understand what’s going on, aside from taking the brunt of Nihil’s anger (so he soaks up your love and attention like a sponge, especially when you talk back to Nihil and stop his shitty behavior right that instance). But then you send Nihil’s ass to therapy or some reform thing (or you can just straight up get rid of him), and suddenly you’re in charge of their educations and lives and you are,,,,, so kind and understanding. The boys finally experience gentle parenting and both Primo and Secondo start to see you as their foster parent and adore you dearly just as much as Terzo and baby Copia.
Just…. Imagine walking around the abbey with little baby Copia all happy and cooing in your arms, Terzo trailing behind you and clinging to your robe or jacket, and both Primo and Secondo looking regal as they were taught to be, but protectively lingering by you and occasionally approaching and asking for approval or help— beaming when they receive encouragement and not reprimanded.
And hear me out— this means:
Primo still gets to retire when he wants but he stays to nurture and advise his younger siblings. He begins a garden at the abbey not out of needing something to relieve stress or distract himself, but rather out of love. Out of a passionate love of nature, of creating life, of watching things grow.
Secondo probably has a longer run and has healthier coping skills. He’s still a bit of a party kid— the thrill is just too good to resist, but he’s no longer doing drugs and drinking until he blacks out. He knows how to balance things now, knows how to properly channel and process his emotions in a healthy way. Actively challenging the harmful mindset of toxic masculinity drilled into him as a child from Nihil.
Terzo gets a longer run and also never gets dragged off stage. He no longer sleeps around to cope, stops using sex in order to just feel something. Because he doesn’t need to— he feels alive just being with those he loves and those that love him for who he is. He’s still a huge flirt and tease, still mingles amongst ghouls and siblings of sin, but it’s so much healthier and full of deep bonds of companionship and friendship. Doesn’t feel like he has to prove himself as Papa in order to receive love.
Copia grows up with three older brothers who adore and protect him. He’s still awkward and anxious (but it’s just the autism, not the trauma ✨) but he has a support system to lean on now. He’s not alone anymore. He’ll become Papa when Terzo is ready to give up the mantle— and when he, himself, is ready. It’s not suddenly thrust upon him with high expectations and there is no tragedy that lies in its wake. When he becomes Papa, you and all his brothers throw a little party and his rats are invited. It becomes and stays one of his favorite days ever.
and in case you decide to run the ‘send Nihil off to get help’ route:
He’s livid and definitely resists but you threaten to leave for good if he doesn’t get help and therapy.
It’s an in-patient stay and you visit him every weekend. Alone at first, but as he begins to improve, you’ll start bringing the boys with you.

i do unironically think the best artists of our generation are posting to get 20 notes and 3 reblogs btw. that fanfic with like 45 kudos is some of the best stuff ever written. those OCs you carry around have some of the richest backstories and worldbuilding someone has ever seen. please do not think that reaching only a few people when you post means your art isn't worth celebrating.

Rowling isn't denying holocaust. She just pointed out that burning of transgender health books is a lie as that form of cosmetic surgery didn't exist. But of course you knew that already, didn't you?
I was thinking I'd probably see one of you! You're wrong :) Let's review the history a bit, shall we?
In this case, what we're talking about is the Institut für Sexualwissenschaft, or in English, The Institute of Sexology. This Institute was founded and headed by a gay Jewish sexologist named Magnus Hirschfeld. It was founded in July of 1919 as the first sexology research clinic in the world, and was run as a private, non-profit clinic. Hirschfeld and the researchers who worked there would give out consultations, medical advice, and even treatments for free to their poorer clientele, as well as give thousands of lectures and build a unique library full of books on gender, sexuality, and eroticism. Of course, being a gay man, Hirschfeld focused a lot on the gay community and proving that homosexuality was natural and could not be "cured".
Hirschfeld was unique in his time because he believed that nobody's gender was either one or the other. Rather, he contended that everyone is a mixture of both male and female, with every individual having their own unique mix of traits.
This leads into the Institute's work with transgender patients. Hirschfeld was actually the one to coin the term "transsexual" in 1923, though this word didn't become popular phrasing until 30 years later when Harry Benjamin began expanding his research (I'll just be shortening it to trans for this brief overview.) For the Institute, their revolutionary work with gay men eventually began to attract other members of the LGBTA+, including of course trans people.
Contrary to what Anon says, sex reassignment surgery was first tested in 1912. It'd already being used on humans throughout Europe during the 1920's by the time a doctor at the Institute named Ludwig Levy-Lenz began performing it on patients in 1931. Hirschfeld was at first opposed, but he came around quickly because it lowered the rate of suicide among their trans patients. Not only was reassignment performed at the Institute, but both facial feminization and facial masculization surgery were also done.
The Institute employed some of these patients, gave them therapy to help with other issues, even gave some of the mentioned surgeries for free to this who could not afford it! They spoke out on their behalf to the public, even getting Berlin police to help them create "transvestite passes" to allow people to dress however they wanted without the threat of being arrested. They worked together to fight the law, including trying to strike down Paragraph 175, which made it illegal to be homosexual. The picture below is from their holiday party, Magnus Hirschfeld being the gentleman on the right with the fabulous mustache. Many of the other people in this photo are transgender.

[Image ID: A black and white photo of a group of people. Some are smiling at the camera, others have serious expressions. Either way, they all seem to be happy. On the right side, an older gentleman in glasses- Magnus Hirschfeld- is sitting. He has short hair and a bushy mustache. He is resting one hand on the shoulder of the person in front of him. His other hand is being held by a person to his left. Another person to his right is holding his shoulder.]
There was always push back against the Institute, especially from conservatives who saw all of this as a bad thing. But conservatism can't stop progress without destroying it. They weren't willing to go that far for a good while. It all ended in March of 1933, when a new Chancellor was elected. The Nazis did not like homosexuals for several reasons. Chief among them, we break the boundaries of "normal" society. Shortly after the election, on May 6th, the book burnings began. The Jewish, gay, and obviously liberal Magnus Hirschfeld and his library of boundary-breaking literature was one of the very first targets. Thankfully, Hirschfeld was spared by virtue of being in Paris at the time (he would die in 1935, before the Nazis were able to invade France). His library wasn't so lucky.
This famous picture of the book burnings was taken after the Institute of Sexology had been raided. That's their books. Literature on so much about sexuality, eroticism, and gender, yes including their new work on trans people. This is the trans community's Alexandria. We're incredibly lucky that enough of it survived for Harry Benjamin and everyone who came after him was able to build on the Institute's work.

[Image ID: A black and white photo of the May Nazi book burning of the Institute of Sexology's library. A soldier, back facing the camera, is throwing a stack of books into the fire. In the background of the right side, a crowd is watching.]
As the Holocaust went on, the homosexuals of Germany became a targeted group. This did include transgender people, no matter what you say. To deny this reality is Holocaust denial. JK Rowling and everyone else who tries to pretend like this isn't reality is participating in that evil. You're agreeing with the Nazis.
But of course, you knew that already, didn't you?
Edit: Added image IDs. I apologize to those using screen readers for forgetting them. Please reblog this version instead.

There's a version of the "don't go grocery shopping while hungry" rule specifically for writers where you should never under any circumstances be allowed to touch your draft within 3 hours of reading a really good story. Because sometimes when you read something great your head goes "fuck this is so much better than my stuff I should make that more like THIS instead!" Look at me. That's the devil talking and you should close the document NOW.

sometimes we just need someone to pay enough attention.
for the longest time i had been trying to read The Lord of The Rings. everyone had sung the praises for it, over and over. i'd seen clips of the movie and it seemed like it could be fun, but actually reading it was fucking horrible.
my parents had the omnibus - all the books squished into one big tome - and in the 4th grade i started sort of an annual tradition: i would start trying to read TLR and get frustrated after about a month and put it back down. at first i figured i was just too young for it, and that it would eventually make sense.
but every time i came back to it, i would find myself having the exact same experience: it was confusing, weird, and dry as a fucking bone. i couldn't figure it out. how had everyone else on earth read this book and enjoyed it? how had they made movies out of this thing? it was, like, barely coherent. i would see it on "classics" list and on every fantasy/sci-fi list and everyone said i should read it; but i figured that it was like my opinion of great expectations - just because it's a classic doesn't mean i'm going to like experiencing it.
at 20, i began the process of forcing myself through it. if i had to treat the experience like a self-inflicted textbook, i would - but i was going to read it.
my mom came across me taking notes at our kitchen table. i was on the last few pages of the first book in the omnibus, and i was dreading moving on to the next. she smiled down at me. only you would take notes on creative writing. then she sat down and her brow wrinkled. wait. why are you taking notes on this?
i said the thing i always said - it's boring, and i forget what's happening in it because it's so weird, and dense. and strange.
she nodded a little, and started to stand up. and then sat back down and said - wait, will you show me the book?
i was happy to hand it over, annoyed with the fact i'd barely made a dent in the monster of a thing. she pulled it to herself, pushing her glasses up so she could read the tiny writing. for a moment, she was silent, and then she let out a cackle. she wouldn't stop laughing. oh my god. i cannot wait to tell your father.
i was immediately defensive. okay, maybe i'm stupid but i've been trying to read this since the 4th grade and -
she shook her head. raquel, this is the Silmarillion. you've been reading the Silmarillion, not the lord of the rings.
anyway, it turns out that the hobbit and lord of the rings series are all super good and i understand why they're recommended reading. but good lord (of the rings), i wish somebody had just asked - wait. this kind of thing is right up your alley. you love fantasy. it sounds like something might be wrong. why do you think it's so boring?

7 people who look exactly like you
So! I don't usually do the Soulmate stuff, but this is close enough that I think it works.
Studies tell that there are 7 People in the world who look almost exactly like you. These 7 people are actually linked, in that anything that happened to one Body is shown on all of the other Bodies.
If one of them gets a Tattoo, it will show up on everyone else.
If one of them puts on Makeup, it shows up on the others.
If one of them gets injured or scarred, it visibly shows up like a picture on their skin but doesn't cause actual harm.
(Note: They look similar because of the link, not the other way around. The Link is the Cause, the Appearance is the Effect.)
After a few years if searching, and more than a little coincidence, Bruce Wayne managed to adopt almost all of these People.
He is 1, Dick is 2, Jason is 3, Tim is 4, Damian is 5, and Cass is 6 because it works across Gender as well.
The Batfam doesn't know who their 7th is, but have never really had time to focus on finding them.
Then one day, a Lichtenburg Scar shows up on all of their bodies. Their Hair turns Pure White, and their eyes turn Lazarus Green for a few minutes.
Now they really need to find their 7th. They must have come in contact with a Lazarus Pit.
Over the next few months as they try fruitless to find the 7th, they notice other things.
Their Hair and Eyes change regularly, sometimes marks depicting lethal wounds appear on their bodies and close up instantly, one time they even saw a mark depicting them getting Cut in Half and they rejoined instantly.
A few times their Eyes turn Bright Blue, once they were stuck as Red for a full week, once they even had green Vine-Like cracks around their Body.
They ask themselves, what the hell is their 7th doing!?
...
Meanwhile, Danny is just trying to be a Hero, completely unaware that his 7 Lookalikes are desperately searching for him.
The Blue Eyes are him using his Ice Powers, the Red Eyes was when he got taken over by Freakshow, and the Vine-like Cracks were when the Town was taken over by Undergrowth.
He doesn't actually realize that his 7 Lookalikes would see all of this on their own Bodies, he never really thought about that.
Sure sometimes his eyes would become Green before he became a Ghost, and the images of injuries would appear often on his body, but he thought that it was just spread out across all of them (it was, he doesn't realize the true number of injuries he has gotten depicted on his body), but he thought that was just normal stuff.
Thats basically it.
Thoughts?

hiii im sure you’ve answered this before but in regards to your twst x Pokémon, how do you choose which Pokémon go give to the cast?? really curious since your choices are unique :O
unique in a good way, I hope? 😅 (jk jk I haven't come across too many pokemon AUs, so I was going in without preconceptions, I guess!) I was sorta aiming somewhere between doing, like, a full AU with internal consistency and everything, and just picking entirely based on theme/character, so maybe that's why! basically I just set some arbitrary rules (no legendaries/no repeats/evo stages based on year) and then went on ~vibes~. a couple were also suggestions (thank you guys!) and last-minute decisions, so it was a bit of a delightful mess of ideas!
my one regret is that I should have given Riddle a Togedemaru after all. ...you know what, he can have one now, why not
