can you make fluff alphabet for klaus mikaelson
Fluff alphabet - Klause mikaelson
A = Affection (how affectionate is he?) klaus is a big ball of affection when it comes to you. It’s actually quite funny to see the big bad klaus mikaelson all fluffy
B = body (what’s his favorite body part of yours) i think Klaus loves your stomach, because its a way he could always be touching you. Like he’ll have his hand on your stomach in public to make sure you don’t get separated
C = cuddle (how do they like to cuddle) clause loves holding you. So any way he could hold you would be his favorite.
D = dance (how do they dance with you) Klaus having lived through so many generations of dance would teach you any one you wanted to know, and he’s so elegant with it.
E = emotions (how do they process their emotions around you) Klaus prefers to be around you all times of the day, you keep his emotions at bay, but when he really needs it you just sit and listen to him rant as he paints or while you run your fingers through his hair
F = family (how is he around your family) he hates your family and they hate him all except your little brother/sister. So most of the time he’d just spend time with them and make sure so slightly spoil them, much to your dismay
G = gratitude (how great full are they for you) Klaus is so grateful for you, he loves how gentle you are with him, even knowing the beast he can be at times.
H = honesty (do they have secrets) funnily enough Klaus has no secrets from you, you’d known a lot about him before you’d even met him. They were mostly bad things, so he’d decided there was no point in hiding anything.
I = inspiration (do you change them in any way) you inspire Klaus to be a better person, not for himself but you. He’d hate himself if an enemy of his decided to go after you to get to him
J = jealousy (do they get jealous easily) yes. Klaus is the king of jealousy, he knows you love him but it doesn’t stop the nagging thought that maybe one day you’d have had too much of him and leave him stranded
K = kiss (where is their favorite place to kiss you) he loves to kiss your shoulders, seeing as your always standing in front of him like his queen and that’s the easiest accessible way to kiss you.
L = love confession (how did they confess their love for you) you had to force the confession out of him. You’d grown tired of his mind games, and told him that if he didnt fess up you’d leave him forever. That forced it right out of him.
M = marriage (does they want to get married) i don’t know, i think he would just so you’d have his last name, but other than that I don’t think he’d really care
N = nicknames (what do they call you) love, darling, Gorgeous, beautiful…
O = open (are they open about things) Klaus is very open with you about even his younger days, his family, and his father
P = patience (are they patient with you) Klaus is extremely patient with you, unless your trying to tick him off, then he plays right into your game
Q = quirks (random ability they have that beneficial to the relaxation ship) Klaus has so many abilities its unfair. The enhanced hearing/strength/speed/compelling plus his painting ability
R = romance (how romantic are they) again having lived through multiple generations, Klaus has seen his fair share of romance. So yes he is very romantic
S = security (do the provide safety for you) come on now. This is the original hybrid were talking about. Your more safe than the king of England
T = tender (how soft are they with you) Klaus is incredibly soft and cuddly. He loves you too much to even think about using the strength of a normal human let alone his vampire strength
U = upkeep (how clean are they) klaus is very clean, and extremely well kept. I mean his clothing choices should say it all
V = vulnerability (can they allow themselves to be vulnerable with you) he loves that he can be vulnerable with you, and not have to hide his feelings
W = wholesome (do they do little sweet things) Klaus would do anything for you if you’d ask. But he makes sure to keep up with the little things. Like bringing you flowers, or opening your doors, guiding you up/down stairs.
Y = yearning (how do they act when they yearn to be in your presence) he acts like a complete baby, you can’t count the amount of times Rebekah has called annoyed over Klaus’s whining
Z = zen (what makes them feel calm) klaus likes going to a nearby waterfall with you, listening to you talk and the water falling in the background gives him an unexplainable ammount of piece

I'd like to specify a request for good Thai shows that just finished. They're my favorite for many reasons, and I also enjoy getting to learn more Thai words.
Good 2023 Thai BL That Recently Finished (to Binge!)
(I actually held off answering this one until a few had ended this week because I didn't have many for 2023. It's not been great year for Thai BL so far IMHO. Now South Korea is KILLING it. So is Japan.. in a different way.)
Tumblr media
My School President
9/10
GMMTV gave us a classic high school set Thai BL with tropes like messy boys singing their feelings that made this one Love Sick for the modern age with all the gentle sweetness and pining ache, but none of the dated damaging tropes or issues.
Yes, we’ve seen it all before, but I still ADORED this. And there is a lot to be said for the classics being re-executed perfectly. Who let my BL be this wholesome and funny? This show was fantastic, it’s only flaw was the singing (and that’s my baggage).
My favourite GMMTV BL offering to date. And yes, I've watched them ALL. (YouTube)
Tumblr media
Step By Step
9/10
This was Thailand’s answer to The New Employee, and everything I loved about that show I loved about this one.
This was an office romance between stern boss and sweet subordinate that felt more authentic to an office environment than previous Thai BLs of this ilk. And that authenticity added tension to the narrative and character development (how novel). Now that might be because it has western source material, or it might be because it is actually kind of old-fashioned (it’s been years since I worked as an office grunt). I also really enjoyed the brothers’ relationship, and kinda wished they hadn’t attempted (and failed) to give said brother his own side BL.
(Gaga & YouTube & Viki)
Tumblr media
La Pluie
9/10
This BL takes to task the fated mates trope and what it means to have love chained intimately to predestination. It’s about how faith in destiny before choice diminishes the authenticity of emotion, relationships, and connection. This is a high concept to examine through the lens of a BL.
By activating + examining the soulmates trope this show is challenging a foundation of romance: the idea that there is one person meant to be your one romantic partner all your life. This means that we, as viewers, spend much of the show worried about it having a happy ending, and that’s the source of both its brilliance and tension: would the narrative have the strength to truly challenge its own romantic core?
But, ultimately, all this elevated complexity was executed in a somewhat shaky manner with the narrative derailing into some serious pacing issues and characters manipulated by miscommunication. However, with good chemistry and decent acting all around, plus some excellent high heat and representation of consent and a few other rare tropes, this one has to (like it’s sibling show My Ride) earn a 9/10.
I enjoyed it even as it made me think. (iQIYI)
Tumblr media
Make a Wish
8/10
PNR (from Sammon: Manner of Death & Triage) about a doctor who can see the dead and strikes a bargain with a wish-granting irreverent tree angel - naturally they fall in love.
Stars Fluke Natouch opposite not-Ohm, but who cares bc Fluke has chemistry with everybody. Once again the Thai afterlife is incredibly bureaucratic but I enjoyed the premise and the unfolding of the story (it’s not predictable but still satisfying and with nice little twist). I like that the doctor is just gay af and has a fag hag bestie and everything.
The cast is excellent but the comedic stylings are too overblown and tonally off. It had sad parts and did make me cry but is ultimately happy with a great sex scene, good smiley kisses, and all the agency. (grey)
Tumblr media
Moonlight Chicken
8/10
I enjoyed this complicated little show, even though it’s spectacularly messy gay with lots of shrapnel and authentic pain.
I thought EarthMix turned in their most compelling performance to date. But it was GeminiFourth who stole my heart.
That said, the most interesting central relationship was that of Jim & Li Ming, their father-son angst mixed with evident affection made me tear up.
This was more slice of life than it was BL, but it ended happily so I’m not mad at it. (YouTube)
Tumblr media
Never Let Me Go
8/10
Bodyguard romance where poor boy must watch over rich boy for family obligation reasons. Simple premise well executed with a few bumps that made it feel like it was trying to tackle too much (when it wasn’t).
Still, an enjoyable show that benefited from being handed to PondPhuwin who did a stellar job with their roles and chemistry. Is it going into permanent rewatch rotation? No, but a solid GMMTV offering. Of GMMTV passing out new series to established pairs this has been the most successful IMHO. PondPhuwin were about 10000x better in this than FUTS (and that's FUTS's fault, not theirs).
It's typically Thai in that its a bit bloated and has a confusing plot, but at least it HAD a plot and the central relationship is solid and loyal. Their Our Skyy 2 follow up is great. And very much adds to the cannon in a fun way rather than feeling superfluous - making this show ultimately 14 eps rather than the usual 12. (YouTube)
Tumblr media
Destiny Seeker
8/10
A darn near perfect pulp featuring 3 likable grumpy/sunshine pairings with uncomplicated iterations of enemies to lovers. At least one half of each does a decent amount of pining and there’s good chemistry, classic tropes, and communication rep. It’s fun and full of linguistic jokes.
Sublimely cheesy but a good rainy day offering with tons of rewatch potential. (WeTV)
Tumblr media
Bed Friend
8/10 (Triggers include: child abuse, attempted rape, family abuse)
Office frienamies transition a flaming hot one night stand into a f-buddy relationship that is built on a puppy/cat dynamic (and kinks into it at one point). Our puppy is loyal, smitten, and protective with endlessly longing eyes, while our cat is snarky, prickly, and deeply damaged (ALL THE TRIGGERS).
NetJames give lovely high-heat with excellent chemistry and tuned-in performances of surprising depth, unfortunately the story ultimately failed them. Had the show had the strength of its convictions and kept to a tighter, darker, harsher 8 eps it would have been the first high heat to earn a 10/10 from me, but once they fussed with it, it dropped to a solid 8/10.
Could have been great but was overworked. Still if high heat is your thing, this one will not let you down. (YouTube)
Tumblr media
Between Us
8/10
Featuring the hugely popular side characters from 2019′s Until We Meet Again, Win Team (played by Studio Wabi Sabi's most popular, and commercially viable, pair BounPrem - Long Khong, You Never Eat Alone, Seven Project, Even Sun), adaptation of the y-novel Hemp Rope.
It’s a serviceable series about hot swimmers flirting and dealing with family drama in a sweetly earnest manner, but ultimately it squanders the talent in play. I would’ve preferred a cleaner narrative arc, less angst and more plot, fewer couples, and a shorter series.
That said, there’s nothing objectively wrong, sub-standard, or off-putting about this show. And it has lots of consent and other good qualities.
It’s fine. Watch along here. (iQIYI)
This list dated July 16 2023, not responsible for anything that came after, that'll probably be in end of year wrap ups.

I just finished watching all the available episodes of The Apothecary Diaries, and I have to say that it surprised me!
The premise of an apothecary working for the emperor's consorts and solving medical mysteries is already a gun one, but the execution really elevated the concept past entertaining romcom to genuinely fantastic storytelling. It's not revolutionary, but it's certainly deeply endearing, and I really enjoyed how it found a balance between lighthearted comedy and acknowledging the awful aspects of sex work and being a woman/lower class in a world where neither are valued. It doesn't explore the darker side in detail, at least not so far, but it still does a fantastic job in making the horrible parts feel like a real part of the setting while still making the choice to focus on the women's joy even when faced with hard situations. I guess I just appreciate these things being openly discussed without immediately having it be a psychological story about dealing with trauma?
The characters are also soo good, and while most lack depth (its been nine episodes, so for a cast this big, that can be excused), usually their schtick is strong enough that it can easily carry their appearances. You also get the sense that while a lot of these characters do fill out comedic roles/archetypes, there's a lot more going on beneath the surface. Their schtick is fun, but its not all they have, its just there to help the audience familiarize themselves and bond with the charcaters while their entire personality is unearthed. The entire cast is genuinely absolutely delightful and reasonable and feel incredibly real while also being really funny.
The romance portion is also really really fantastic. Both Maomao and Jinshi are hilarious little freaks, and their dynamic is so fun to watch. Maomao is such a good take on the cold, blunt, genius character, who is socially challenged but very far from frigid. She's practical and logical while also keeping a very strong emotional core founded in empathy and genuine care for the people around her. Her obsession with poison is also pulling triple duty, as it 1) serves to break her cold facade and provides comic relief in the form of an ongoing gag, 2) gives the reader a strong understanding of her guiding motives/desires, and 3)gives her role as a medical investigator narrative justification. Of course she'd know what was used to poison someone, that's her whole thing! Jinshi himself is a counterpart to Maomao's colder tendencies, being very clingy and emotional. This show is not afraid of making him a pathetic little obsessed man, and it's all the better for him. Unlike other possesive and obsessed male leads, Jinshi manages to mostly stay away from the creep factor by being so uttely pathetic and cringe that he never really comes across as an actual threat. Couple that with him actually being very respectful of Maomao, only engaging in light flirting, and how he never actually wants to change her (most rapey MLs try to break the FL out of their feisty charcater or demean her for it while showing her how they're more powerful), and Jinshi makes for a very good love interest that also feels like a very safe comfortable person, which I feel matches the tone of the show very well. He's also as much of a freak as Maomao ("she wants to crush me like a bug <3333🥰🥰🥰), so they're very well matched there, too. He's such a petty loser, and that makes him a stronger character.
The story seems to be ramping up, and while I don't think it'll ever lose the lighthearted tone, I'm excited about how it already seems to promise a more in-depth exploration of the world it's set up the scaffolding for. For what it's worth, I also think the show has done a very good job at making the world feel expansive and mysterious, while also balancing that wholesomeness, which for a show centered around sex workers is quite the feat.
Anyways, long story short, I think the nine episodes that are out so far are really great, and the story thrives through how utterly endering it is. I am charmed by the world and the characters and what the plot has promised us, and while I don't expect it to revolutionize anime or whatever, it's still a masterclass in narrative shorthand and the act of balancing its heavy themes, especially when it comes to the characters themselves. There's so many of them that are so fun and memorable that I didn't mention, but who absolutely deserve their own posts, and that's only nine episoded into a comedy show, which I think goes to show how strong of a start this series has. Overall, I'd rate the show so far an 8/10, and I'm really excited to see what will come from the next 15 episodes.

Tumblr media
stardust - @euphoricfilter (jjk x reader | fluff, smut, f2l)
summary: if jungkook would have known an unintentional orgasm would have led to this, then he would have begged you to work out with him sooner.
naur bby when i tell you i loved this from the first paragraph...
"If every living being’s foundation is made of stardust, scattered when born, then Jungkook thinks the two of you were made from the same star."
Tumblr media
and the way you continued the analogy throughout was pure literature gold (or should i say diamond teehee). its stuff like this that i read and im like damn, the moots are really out here posting fics that could easily be published best sellers for fucking free!! how lucky are we!!!
OOF AND THE PILLOW PRINCESS COMMENT HAD ME LOOKING AROUND THE ROOM BLUSHING BC HOW DOES HE KNOW ME LIKE THAT I FELT CALLED OUT LMAO
and the whole workout scene hits even better after his workout live like i legit was able to visual everything... and sex in the mirror will never not be top tier :')
i love this jungkook dearly. this is how i imagine irl jk yk? just that hopeless romantic vibe, feeling that he has someone on this earth that is meant for him and he's meant for them. thats encapsulated so beautifully in this fic. such beautiful writing, thank you for blessing us with this fucking masterpiece!!
Tumblr media
knee high socks - @minniesvenus (jjk x reader | smut, college au)
summary: after being obsessed with you and your knee high socks for forever, jungkook can't believe that you finally notice him.
okay so do you ever just hear a song or smell a smell that feels so incredibly nostalgic and fills your head with dreamy thoughts and stars and stuff... that's exactly how i felt while reading this! like i just kept thinking of the arctic monkeys song and the way you characterized jungkook's crush is just so authentic. its just that pure school crush feeling where you anticpate seeing this person and the more time you see them you pick up on little things and it makes you fall even deeper oof. there's just something so fimilair about the way you wrote this and it's probably one of the most realistic depictions i've seen of the natural progression of a crush like uGH THE FUCKING TALENT !!!
and it makes you root for him so much like i was internally cheering for him when she asked him to sit next to him. it was so fucking wholesome and sweet i screamed
Tumblr media
and then shit got unwholesome real quick whew
her giving him praise actually made me so happy though! like you definitely inspired me to write more of that bc its so refreshing and cute!! and the smut was saur naughty but so sweet bc she was just guiding him through the motions and once again it just felt so natural which is no easy feet!! like you really hit the nail on the head with this one and it will be added to my comfort fic list asap!! so so so lovely!!
Tumblr media
in the seom: love for dummies - @thvhoe (jjk x reader | smut, fluff, angst, fwb, college au, camping au)
summary: always the friend, never the girlfriend. jeon jungkook doesn't date. at least that's what he thought until he met you, a chemistry student who seemed to have it all—except for love. meeting at a mutual friends frat party, you hit it off right away. however, due to both of your stubbornness, it has never progressed beyond being friends with benefits. the annual camping trip with your friend group was supposed to be the turning point in your relationship with jungkook. but what happens when your best friend of 18 years unexpectedly comes back from busan and confesses to you, further complicating matters?
OoF WHAT A FUCKING OPENING SCENE LMAO!! i was horny from fucking JUMP!!! and kook juggling between pet names and not knowing what to call her made me giggle but always made me extremely soft like aw :') <3
and y/n really whipped that fuckboy into shape we love to see it!! he better buy gifts n work for the coochie!!! >:(
"Pookie🩶: Can't sleep. Send me a pic of your boobies?"
this had me cackling bc this behavior is saur... annoyingly endearing like he legit is a big baby and i love him lmao even though unholy he is extremely cute.
Tumblr media
^y/n and i both having immaculate taste and listening to ditto
and i am so thankful things turned out well for this pairing. i felt so sad for him like ugh the protectiveness and worry over her. he was generally just so wholesome throughout this entire fic. def a fav protrayal of jungkook. thank you so much for sharing this beautiful peice with us my love!

A list of my favorite whump and non-whump House MD fics
I've read some really great fics for House so I thought I'd share them here in case anyone wanted to read them (and really because I want to talk about them)
I'd say about half of these are Chase-centric and about half are general character stories
Bone Deep and Week One of Med School by julienwrites are hands down the two BEST House fics I've ever read and the best sickfics I've ever read. I dont know how this author writes so well its actual magic. Both are Chase sickfics set in season 7 and 6, respectively, and full of good sick whump and some very good wholesome comfort. I enjoy sickfic whump about as much as other types of whump but WOW these were INCREDIBLE!!!
Next up is Can't Change Anything by NAOA. There's some absolutely WONDERFUL emotional whump in this. Centered around Chase and his reaction to his stepmother being the team's newest patient. Wonderful character writing in this (I mean the characterization is frankly tremendous in all of them but in this one especially because of the emotional nature of the whump). Also typical House-being-an-asshole shenanigans written amazingly. Original trio fic.
Declare the Past, Diagnose the Present by andrealyn. Wow. Just WOW. General character fic that's slightly whumpy but moreso just very entertaining. Loooooooove the character dialogue in this! And the descriptions are awesome! Just a really well rounded impressive story. Original trio fic.
Let the Nerf-Bat Wars Begin by OldToadWoman is a really funny and entertaining fic set in season 6. Hilarious House and Wilson shenanigans and fantastic dynamics between the team (ironically, over their shared hatred for team building!). I think i was grinning the whole time reading this lol. Honestly one of the best non-angsty fics I've read. Highly recommend!
Self-Defense, or The One Where Foreman Teaches Chase How to Throw a Punch by ignaz. Lovely short fic with the original trio. Intended as pre-slash but can be read as platonic too. Not whump but slightly angsty and overall a good story :)
The Unwilling Host by jmtorres. A fantastic funny fluff fic about Thanksgiving at House's house. Very sweet found family dynamics between House, Wilson, Cuddy, and the original trio. Wonderful to read after all the canonical (and fanfictional) angst of this show! I loved reading this so much!
Aaaaaaand right back into whump! These Walls Are Suffocating Me by awkwardanxiousasexual is an amazing Chase centered whump fic about claustrophobia. A 5+1 fic set throughout his life with some magnificent descriptions of panic!!
Last but not least! Wonder, Wonder by A_Concerned_Citizen. Character studies of the original trio from Wilson's perspective. Mostly Chase centric. Some fantastic "missing scene" parts, and lovely internal Wilson thoughts!!

off topic but after reading your micah yujin bf hcs (the minecraft one specifically) I imagined like after possibly YEARS you get married and after like irl marriage Micah prepares a server FOR ANOTHER MARRIAGE like its just u,him,ur and his friends vibing on a server (U DONT KNOW SHITT ABT WHAT OTHERS R PLANNING)
Then they decide to give u a task or a quest or smth idk and they prepare the wedding ceremony's place as u struggle, after coming back tho YOU COME ACROSS A WEDDING CEREMONY HALL (before there was something cheesy planned by Micah probably, idk like a tiny puzzle he prepared for you and as you go along you read the signs he wrote,THEY'RE ALL FUCKING SAPPY AND WHOLESOME)
U r now married both legally irl AND on minecraft,u bet he celebrates both of those events' dates even after YEARS AND YEARS
— minecraft wedding with micah hcs
micah has been planning this longer than you think. he's been laying down the steps while you were asleep or busy with work.
^ burying chests in places you've visited and made bases in—at world spawn, your first house, that one super big ravine that shocked the both of you, etc etc
as for the reasoning for sending you off on a quest,, it'd probably be something like, under the guise of getting all the achievements and needing resources. or he's literally just like, here's a quest for an incredible secret prize from me ;))
^ you going "oh do i get to marry you again?" as a joke and he laughs like "oh? you want to make it official again? renewing already?" but he can feel his heart rate increase
you end up reading his thoughts on different events both in the game and in real life. you know for someone who already had irl wedding vows, this guy sure has a Lot more to say.
^"this is the stuff i had to cut out so my vows wouldn't be 3 hours long." is somewhere in a book by the way. he's real for that!
( ^ still manages to write his mc vows with a book and quill. finishes the book after you say i do)
imagining there's signs at every location too with cheesy pickup lines that he's used on you in the past. the most iconic ones (the ones he genuinely spent time to think of and planned when to drop on you) plus the casual ones he'd drop throughout the day
he does something silly in a double chest like strategically placing flowers in a heart shape with diamonds/something special in the middle
micah downloads specific mods on both of your desktops to make sure that you can get the Perfect Experience
^ i'm thinking mrcrayfish's furniture mod and pam's harvestcraft kind of deal if those are still updated. i have no idea i haven't played minecraft in a Long time
you realize it looks familiar and like,, he definitely tried to mimic the original wedding venue in the game. it's actually kind of shocking how familiar it feels
I Know You Have Cats. there's a cat that's supposed to be skrunkly/skrunkly's long lost relative, um,,, skrinkly. for sure. every pet is in the audience!
micah setting up fireworks to go off, your friends shifting and throwing flowers at you, etc etc
^ has a big firework show during dinner at night. literally sprints around so he gets hungry and can eat cake
oh my god sorry but like,, you guys all being in a discord call singing and it's the vc lag would be funny. a memory for sure. but there's also those proximity based mic mod things (i watched sykkuno) which would definitely make it all more realistic!
makes a whole thing of crafting beds and putting them next to each other
makes sure there's a time slot somewhere for screenshots . there has to be a folder made and shared for screenshots of the wedding and it has a silly name i think.
^ would not hesitate to print the photos because he thinks they're cute and also a little silly. puts them with the real wedding photos and scatters them around your house
^ sorry but you having an irl wedding photo that's professional and gorgeous then a (still gorgeous) minecraft screenshot right next to it. shaders and everything like that is so perfect to me personally.

In what specific moments from Banana Fish & BNHA, that made you sure that Ash and Bakugou are special, that made them your favorite characters?
Agh, my boysssss! You had to dig deep in the asks for that specific lore. But, you must already know a little something to have honed in on these two characters specifically.
Generally, I love both of these characters for the same reason:
Enigmatic. They are introduced as brazen, arrogant and crude only to be exposed for their softness and complexity with time. They're onions (thank you Donkey from Shrek).
Intelligent nerds. Ash is literally prodigal and spends his time in the New York Library, nerd. Bakugo is quick-witted with an incredible battle sense and a grandpa bedtime, nerd.
Sarcasm. The above goes hand-in-hand with their intelligence but they're funny and flippant which makes them both abrasive but also entertaining. I love that they're both little shits.
Trauma. Both characters undergo trauma that is overlooked, to a degree, or minimized because of the nature of their character without allowing consideration for the fact that they may be rough around the edges as a response. The more you learn about their character, origin, motivations, it just endears you to them. Or at least that's what it did for me.
Bravado. In line with all the above, I think their overconfidence or the appearance of such also pushes them into corners where, even when scared or at a loss, they have no choice but push forward because its what people look to them for.
Redemption. Both of them carry burdens without a clear path forward but, ultimately, come around to doing what they think is the right thing for the people they care about. Even while battling their inner demons.
Kins.
⚠️ Spoiler warning for Banana Fish (anime) and MHA through chapter 410.

This scene, for starters.
Aslan Jade Callenreese
Arthur vs Ash, Final Showdown - At this point in the story, we've seen the things that Ash can and will do to protect his gang and we've come to understand that a 17 year old comes to be a fearsome gang leader by being as strong as he is ruthless, sometimes. But Eiji's introduction into his life creates a feeling of something he needs to protect and keep soft. I think what was compelling about the showdown with Arthur is how he was totally fine until he realized Eiji was there. It made him angry but, more likely, it made him fearful that Eiji would see in him the wretched person he believes himself to be. That fear is human and it shows he's not as stoic as he pushes himself to be.
Shooting at Cape Cod - Taking the story to Cape Cod was a choice. It was a temporary beat from the chaos of what would always follow them, as long as they still kept scratching at the mystery of what banana fish was. But Cape Cod also provided additional texture to Ash's character while beautifully illustrating how soft and carefree he could be before reality brings him back to himself. Showing Eiji to shoot and relaxing into the fun of it before being coldly reminded that he is who he is (not so much by Max but in realizing he was being perceived). Cape Cod is his origin and it is hideous and sad but, in the space of these moments, the trauma of it doesn't tarnish who he is. But it shows how and why he hides so much of himself.
Fear of Halloween - AGAIN, I love how you have this military trained (under Golzine's direction and Blanca's tutelage) who has undergone heinous trauma at the hands of pretty much every adult in his life. He grits his teeth and bares it, he pushes forward tempered by these horrible experiences but remains incredibly soft and vulnerable. His fear of Jack-o-Lanterns is just so unexpected and fodder for Eiji but I think it highlights something wholesome and sad in Ash.
Ash in Glasses. That's it, that's the justification.
Simply, Ash is a survivor and he deserved better than thinking he should crawl back to the library and die, discarded. I think the moments that endear him to me most are those unexpected bouts of vulnerability mixed into the facade he has to hold to simply survive in the life that a perfect storm of circumstances forged. Additionally, I think these moments are not just specific to Ash but typical of the chemical reaction between he and Eiji because it's Eiji who unlocks his vulnerability as the person who never wanted anything from him but for him to come home safe.

Katsuki Bakugo
Sludge Monster Villain - That desperate and pleading look that he shoots Midoriya is really the first glimpse of what's beneath all his bluster and it's the very moment that sets off Midoriya's hero origin story. It's also the first bit of trauma that just gets... glossed over in the story. See below for Useless Victory.
Sports Festival - The way he faces Uraraka earnestly (which is so grotesquely misconstrued by viewers) because of his general attitude and perception. I really need to wrap up all my Manga With Me chapters because most of the guys in Class 1A continue to overlook and underestimate the girls of Class 1A and 1B but Bakugo, quite earnestly, gives Uraraka the respect and consideration she deserves.
Useless Victory at the Sports Fest - Bakugo is so incredibly principled. He could take the easy win but, in his heart of hearts, if he couldn't beat Todoroki at his full strength, then he can never truly think that he bested Midoriya. He acts out in ways that are not understood by the readers or even the spectators in universe. Ultimately, they muzzle and shackle him echoing in the same way that the Sludge villain. The act shows the League of Villains and anyone else watching the best way to incapacitate him and also further likens him to a villain in the eyes of spectators who continue to vilify him.
The Little Ways He Cares - For the sake of not expounding too much, I thought to consolidate this into one bullet but really, Bakugo is like... so awkward. Like, he might want to connect with others but he has no idea how but I just know he thinks he's really doing something by being an enigmatic wall of fortitude.
1. Having Denki use his quirk to break the tension after the rescue crew got in trouble after saving him from the LOV and making it a point to pay Kirishima back. 2. The way he tries to be civil to Todoroki (because he's an eavesdropping little shit) 3. The way he subtly galvanizes Class 1A's effort for the school festival. 4. "When you guys are in danger, I will save you. When I'm in danger, you guys save me." 5. All of My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising 6. Being in Todoroki's room ahead of the war to face off against Dabi, even if he had no words to offer in consolation. 7. Telling Best Jeanist to look after everyone knowing he was about to sacrifice his life in the face off with Shigaraki
Character Growth Unencumbered by an Unreliable Narrator - As Midoriya begins to shelter his heart in later chapters, we start seeing more insight into Bakugo's true nature. His features soften, we see more of his Midoriya-centered thoughts, we comprehend the depth of his insecurities and how his past behavior was eating him up inside. There's a beautiful conclusion to his story as a hero, Kacchan Bakugo, with his fist held high. Paying homage to the man he looked up to (All Might and Midoriya), victorious in saving his idol and setting his childhood friend up to achieve certain victory. I can't wait to see how his story ends.

Book Review 28 – Finna by Nino Cipri
Tumblr media
This was another slim book I picked up basically blind entirely so I had something fast on hand to read. Unfortunately, didn’t work out nearly so well for me as most of the other’s I’ve read. Which is a shame, because the fundamental idea behind it is incredible, or at least seemed like an excuse for a kind of ridiculous pulpy adventure that was just made for me.
So, the story’s about a pair of 20-something queer dead-enders working at a bigbox furniture story that is similar to but legally distinct from Ikea. The Monday after they broke up, they find themselves both working a shift at the same time. And, even more awkwardly, after a transient wormhole forms and a customer wanders into a parallel universe’s not!Ikea, the two of them are volunteered to go rescue the wold woman. From this follows adventures through wild and deadly alternate realities, self-discovery, realizing how much there is out in the world, post-breakup reconciliation, a moment of dramatic self-actualization-through-heroic-sacrifice, and so on and et cetera.
Now, there are good qualities to this book, but I will be honest that the weeks since I’ve read it have dulled my memory of everything except the petty annoyances. So this review is basically just going to be complaining about what I thought didn’t work or irked me out of all proportion to its significance. Okay? Okay.
So fundamentally this feels like this could have been a fun, cheesy absurd comedy about some #relatable millennials trapped in retail purgatory and all its kafkaesque upbeat cheer. Tragically it was written by someone whose memories or ideas of what that’s like were warped by too many years on twitter and around people being professionally writer for the book to ever really ring true (to me, at least).
Or, possibly better put, it felt like the book was trying to tell me what sort of story it was and what emotional journeys its characters were going on and what it was trying to satirize more than it ever followed through on any of it? Which is pretty unhelpfully vague as a complain, I’m aware.
More concretely, the emotional arc of the two leads just felt incredibly rushed – these did not feel like two people who had had a messy breakup after an incredible hurtful argument three days before! They were, at most, slightly awkward around each other, and inside of fifty pages they were friends again. Which was just deeply emotionally unsatisfying for what the back cover sold the book as, or for my own desire for my messy drama generally. More generally, they both theoretically have flaws, but you only know this because the narration keeps explicitly saying what they are and how they’re growing past them instead of them ever really, like, meaningfully fucking them over or causing them to be unsympathetic.
Our protagonist also just had an utter surfeit of self-knowledge – her internal monologue sometimes reads more like the author’s notes on the character’s passions, neuroses and flaws than anything anyone would actually think about themselves. Especially someone in her position. And all the therapy-speak just really made me grind my teeth (not least because whatever the book says, there’s no way she’d able to afford the regular therapist sessions she apparently has on regular retail wages. Which is a minor thing but a) it really does annoy me, and b) it feels telling.)
And, fundamentally, the book just kind of took itself too seriously? Or, more properly, given how utterly absurd the premise and most of the set-pieces were, it just wasn’t nearly funny enough. Or horrifying enough, if you wanted to go the other way – there’s the raw material for some decent creepypasta style horror there, but that would kind of undercut how wholesome and uplifting nad etc the narrative’s clearly supposed to be.
So yeah, ended up using some amazing conceits and occasionally great visuals to construct a pretty tepid adventure story around an emotional core that didn’t feel real to me. What a pity.

KNB: a scented story /part 2
I am really glad you liked this idea and thank you very much for the feedbacks and suggestions.
Today let's talk about some other nice guys, thank you so much for asking me for their profiles, they are wonderful characters and I am happy to be able to discuss them with you.
@fellow-deviant, @lamnwar, @0214letters, @officialparentofadrien
For GOM, Momoi, Teppei and Kagami I refer you to part 1
Tumblr media
🧡 Takao
He is the friend who always saves you, the one to whom you don't have to say anything and who understands you on the fly, the one who takes care of you without ever taking himself too seriously or even taking credit. Ironic, intelligent, charismatic and deeply good and protective, he is the playful version of Shin-chan, his perfect sidekick (and vice versa). When I think of him I think of a summer toast, mojitos, bare feet in the sand, the comfort of a hug around a campfire. My choice for him is a citrusy but non-trivial cologne, with the accent of mint and the warmth of liquor, let the party begin!
Guerlain Homme- Guerlain -> Mojito, citrus, ventiver
💜 Himuro
One of the most sensitive characters in the whole series, but also one of the most melancholic, in my opinion. He experiences the same discomfort as Taiga in the opposite way, in silence and almost caring for Musakibara, because he is a giver.
But then he tries to hide everything under a tough exterior, just like his little American brother. The image I associate with him is that of the praline, which has a chocolate shell on the outside protecting a smooth heart (it's a bit funny Himuro praline, I know). I think he would love a perfume a little smoky or with leather notes but with a warm heart, an alpha male fragrance, because like Taiga, he has to disguise himself and be brave.
A*Men Pure Havane -Thierry Mugler -> tobacco, honey, cocoa, amber
💙 Kasamatsu
Yukio is sexy. He can't help it, he can act tough all he wants, but in my opinion there isn't a girl at Kaijo who hasn't given it a thought. Reflective, deep, committed but always in for a good laugh, a born leader but also someone who doesn't want to make others worry, and in my opinion he suffers a lot on his own, as I said here. He plays the guitar so I know he's incredibly romantic as well, wothout losing his rocker guy appeal. He reminds me of the beauty in the everyday things, a ray of sun hitting the room and creating a magic setting, a unexpected kiss, a tight hug. I think he'd love something clean, direct but wholesome like this one where the fresh bergamot meets the sparkling pepper and the soothing woods.
Hero- Burberry -> bergamot, pepper, juniper, cedar wood
🤍 Mayuzumi
Enigmatic, shy, seemingly disinterested in what is said about him or to him but actually very careful that no one underestimates him or treats him without respect. He has little presence, but in a different way from Tetsu, a little more passive if I may say so. I associate him with the sea in winter, partly because of its colors, partly because like the sea he seems still but in reality he is always moving. I chose a scent I know well because I use, which smells like saltiness on a cold day.
Sel de Ventiver- The Different Company -> Cardamom, ylang-ylang, iris, salt, bourbon ventiver
Hope you'll love this as well!
Lots of love,
V.

Next Goal Wins Movie Review
Dutch coach Thomas Rongen attempts the nearly impossible task of turning the American Samoa soccer team from perennial losers into winners.
After years of delay, Taika Waititi’s latest film, Next Goal Wins, is finally having its wide release after its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September, in which it received mixed reviews, just like Jojo Rabbit. But those reviews didn’t deter me as I enjoy Waititi’s unique comedic style with his meta commentary and humor. However, I am left disappointed with Next Goal Wins. Yes, it is an entertaining comedy primarily due to its classic underdog story and the ensemble's performance. Still, there is so much left to be desired as Next Goal Wins is an amalgamation of Waitit’s worst qualities as a filmmaker.
As previously stated, I love Waititi’s comedic style, but here he and co-writer Iain Morris can’t help but throw in a joke every five seconds into the screenplay. These jokes ruin many serious scenes that would have been incredibly compelling if the jokes didn’t force themselves into the room. Moreover, it becomes incredibly tiring to see the same five jokes being repeated over and over again. It was funny the first time, but after a while, it got old very quickly. It’s similar to the screaming Goats joke seen in Thor: Love and Thunder. Waititi needed to pull the reins back and allow the story to flow naturally. He has proven previously in Jojo Rabbit and in The Hunt for the Wilderpeople that he knows when to be serious in tone and not put in a joke. I am wondering where that person is right now.
However, that is not the end of Next Goal Wins problems. The biggest problem that plagues this movie is its narrative focus. It’s a mash-up between the classic “fish-out-of-water” and “sports underdog”, that follows these narratives almost beat per beat. However, with these two story tropes, the narrative clashes as it can’t decide who to focus on. Thus causing the characters, their relationships, and their struggles to feel shallow and emotionally manipulative. If it had focused on one of the three points of view it introduces, the coach, the team, or their relationship, this feature would have been much more engaging and impactful. However, because it is a mix between these three, it movie never feels like it has a central focus.
But the movie's biggest crime is that it’s acting a lot smarter than what it actually is. It states in the very beginning that it’s going to subvert the white savior trope that is common in many sports films. However, it falls right into the trope it sets to subvert because that is what happened in real life. When American Samoa brought in Thomas Rongan to coach their team, he changed their team forever in his single year. He gave them the guidance and knowledge they needed to change their team around, as well as providing him wisdom he desperately needed. Yet, the movie underscores his influence as all the team needed was to have fun to win in the movie. This could have worked if the team was shown to be somewhat organized before Rongan’s arrival, but instead, they are shown as comically disorganized. Thus when they finally get the speech telling them to have “fun”, and they become an entirely different team, it's incredibly unearned. This could have worked if it had been properly set up like in Ted Lasso, where the team and the coach both needed each other to achieve their goals. That would have been more wholesome and closer to reality.
With all of that stated, the movie is still very enjoyable and this is primarily due to the performances from the ensemble. Michael Fassbender breaks his dramatic and dark type casting in this oddball comedy. For the most part, his comedic timing works for me even though he does feel out of place at moments. But when it comes to the dramatic parts, he delivers the goods. Oscar Nightley does bring in some great comedic moments and has some great chemistry with the ensemble. However, the biggest standout was Kaimana playing Jaiyah Saelua, the first non-binary trans-woman on a FIFA team. She is the emotional heart of this film and should have been the movie's main focus as she has a very interesting conflict. Her conflict is a very relevant one with trans athletes on whether they continue to take hormones to feel like themselves or stop taking hormones so they can continue to play the sport they love. It’s a fascinating conflict that I wish was explored more. This was a massive missed opportunity and is especially shocking coming from self-proclaimed gay icon, Taika Waititi.
Overall, Next Goal Wins is an entertaining classic underdog tale that is heavily reliant on its feel-good story and the performance of the ensemble. But, this movie could have been so much better if there had been several more rewrites to help focus the script's narrative. As well as Taika recognizes that he needs to stop forcing humor into these stories and let them flow naturally again. He has proven it before and I know that he is better than this. Hopefully, with his next feature film, he will finally learn how to do his unique comedy right again.
My Rating: C+

Flesh and Blood
Intial reaction:
Tumblr media
More coherent reactions to follow 🤣
I really loved seeing a little bit of Beau on his day off, literally the cutest 🥺💟
Something I really love is the small moments they have to show how much he cares about protecting and helping people. It isn't just about the mystery or the case, at the core, it's about people. The way he got so mad that someone got stabbed, he took that personally, and that's just another reason I love him, it shows how much he's really concerned and caring about everyone. And this, this is his town now, and he's going to do everything in his power to protect its residents 🥺💘
I also loved seeing him take charge. He came in, so immediately organizing the operation, and it was a subtle thing, but how smoothly things ran, I just love seeing more of how effectively he's been running the department. Clearly, he was on his way to places before the Event™️ in Texas took place, he is incredibly good at his job 💯
Another thing that was done particularly well was the chase scene, I absolutely love how they combined an action scene, with Beau on a motorcycle, with him using his observational and investigative skills, to catch the perpetrator. I love a multitalented Sheriff 💘🥰😌👏🏻
Another thing that struck me. The moment in the bar when he says "All relationships have to be a two-way street. Even blood. Maybe especially blood." Babe- 💔😭 Please let this be the moment Beau starts to realize he doesn't have to run after people who don't care, that if they want to be his family, they have to put effort in too.
Every episode I think I love him as much as I could, and then every next episode, I love him even more ♥️ He's so kind and caring, thoughtful and funny, intelligent and competent, and the handsomest man to have ever walked on the face of this earth. That's it, it's over for the girlies. It's me, I'm girlies (but, dare one hope, it's also Jenny Hoyt?) 💘
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Let's talk about Beau and Jenny this episode. I have so many thoughts and feelings!
Jenny's cute little smile when Beau called her, it was subtle but it was there and it made me so happy 🥺💕 (before she found out there was trouble 😱)
One of my favourite moments, the way Beau told Jenny that it was going to be okay is so sweet 🥺 And how he manages to make her smile when she's sick with worry says so much, as does the fact that she let her walls down enough to ask him for reassurance and comfort, even if indirectly, asked him to tell her that the deputy would be okay 💓
Their hug was so beautiful and wholesome (and also, a little bit intense 👀) 💘🥺 How he leaned down and enveloped her in his arms, his sturdy support, how she clung to him and her little smile, and how his arms stayed around her and lingered, a moment longer of support, his hand trailing down her arm before letting go 🥰😌 (as if he didn't want to let go). Let them be together already! My heart literally skipped a beat that scene, they are everything 🥺💘
These two would've just stood there holding on to each other if Madge hadn't shown up, and I just love that for them and I love that for us 🤗🤣
Madge @ Beau and Jenny:
Tumblr media
You know what else I want? A scene of the other police officers at the precinct like, taking bets, slipping money in the hallways, putting down money on how long before these two get together, because everyone can see there's something there 🥺💝🤣👌🏻
You guys know what the cutest thing is? How ever since Beau has been in the picture, his vocab rubbed off on Jenny, and now she calls the deputy "Pop" too ☺️
Beau and Jenny pranking Deputy Pot Pie together, can they get any cuter?! 🤗🥺 And I adore how in sync and in touch with each other they are. She literally started a mini prank, unplanned, and he just caught on and went with it 🥺💖
The way Beau is looking at Jenny just before asking her if she's okay, you cannot tell me he isn't feeling something tugging at his heartstrings 💓 Complete and utter adoration is the only way I have to describe how Beau is looking at Jenny here 🥰🥺💕💖
Tumblr media
Another thing I loved and is so soft is how Beau is so aware of Jenny and her emotional landscape, that he asks her how she's doing, even though it means a certain level of vulnerability, for her sake 🥺 And I love that Jenny let Beau in, shared her feelings, and he knew exactly what she needed in that moment, a lighthearted joke about robbing a bank, to ease the tension, before genuinely reassuring her 🥺💟
I feel so terrible, she's been hurt so many times over and over again, and this latest time, it's her mother again 😭💔 But I also love that this is something that's being explored, and I love that she's allowed to have feelings without being seen as weak, that she can be a badass, take down the bad guys, be a fighter, and still be shown to have feelings, show vulnerability and let people in, that neither cancels out the other, that feeling isn't seen as synonymous with being weak. This is how you show female characters who are strong and caring and wonderful and real. And so very human.
"I hate it when you do that," said she, with the utmost love in her eyes 🥺💖
Tumblr media
And him stuttering at her compliment 💝 They're so sweet and perfect, they belong together 🥺
We saw Jenny teasing Cassie about Cormac, now girls' night where Cassie returns the favour and interrogates Jenny about Beau happening W H E N ?
Speaking of which.... Cassie and Cormac's chemistry just gets more and more intense, and I'm so excited to see where things are going to go!
And Mark, poor backpacker. He didn't just get run off the hill and then spend a day in agony, before finally it ended. That all happened, and then his body got buried, unmarked in the forest and then dug up again, and then randomly left out for the vultures 😭
At the campsite, Donno & Tonya going undercover for their illegal activities, *chef's kiss*. I love that I first got my Sheriffs OTP undercover and all over each other "for the op", and now I'm getting my other ship also undercover, bickering like an actual married couple 🤣
Carla and Emily flaunt Avery's money in front of Beau to embarrass him, is what I've gathered from the motorcycle scene 😒 And the fact that he feels like the only way he can be worthy to his daughter and make her happy is by buying her expensive gifts shows exactly how much she loves him 😒 And can Emily [Insert Avery's undisclosed last name here] get any more obnoxious? It's looking like an exponential growth, with no limit in sight. And her mother 🤦🏻‍♀️ "We can call Beau". Um, go away, Carla 🙄 You already left him and broke his heart, leave him alone now. And she really said, let's possibly sacrifice Beau in order to satisfy Emily's curiosity about where Paige is. Truly, I cannot stand this woman 😒
Walter and Paige, I have to be honest, I think it could be an interesting and very, very creepy and very appropriately messed up situation to throw Stockholm Syndrome into the mix 🤔👀
Sunny, last episode, I really thought she'd one day end up killing Buck. Now, I don't know, it might end up being Walter. But, it might also end up being Sunny and Walt killing Buck together. Mommy and Me killing team 😱🔪
Here's to flesh and blood then 🥂 And maybe here's also to recognizing that sometimes, it can be your downfall 😥😨

the ahs seasons and what i think of them:
murder house - when u think of ahs u think murder house. its a classic. some of the most iconic characters, even now. one of my comfort seasons for sure. as much as i love it, its not my favourite. it as amazing tho
asylum - wHEN I TELL U THIS SEASON IS LIKE A FUCKING DRUG I MEAN IT!! its at the top of my list, best season. again has some super iconic characters. for me, as much as it weirded me out, i kinda liked the alien plot. was it the best choice for a side plot??? probably not but it was kinda fun
coven - this is hands down the most iconic season of ahs. its also up there with murder house for the “when i think of ahs i think of this”. again, iconic characters. it has a good plot, good ships, great characters. its an awesome season and i get why people claim it as they’re favourite. but watching this coming off of asylum was hard. bc asylum was AMAZING and this to me was just great. still love it tho
freak show - im gonna be honest, im still not done. it was alright. i liked it more towards the end (i have less then half an ep left) but it was pretty meh. the pepper ep got me in my feels tho. she was by far the best character that season along with dessie. it was decent, not my favourite
hotel - loved it. binged it in like a day. and i loved it. this is the season with the best soundtrack and setting. the hotel was gorgeous i wanna fuckin live there. the plot threw me off a little here and there but ultimately, great season. loved jpm SO MUCH!! best boi fr. and liz and tristan r one of my all time favourite couples of the whole show. it was really good i enjoyed it a tone
roanoke - imma be honest, it started out slow. but like mid episode 4 i think was when it started to get GOOD!! it was definitely the scariest of all of the seasons. but the cinematography was beautiful and the acting was spot on. it was beautiful and if im being brutally honest, was low key scared of the “murder” thing. like i would go down into my basement and yell “mY NAME STARTS WITH A T MOTHERFUCKERS!” but yeah, amazing season and super underrated
cult - FUCK EVERYTHING I SAID ABT ASYLUM BEING THE BEST! cult had me scared, in my feelings, blown the FUCK away by the acting. like holy shit. it was incredible. there were a couple of “oof i dont like that” parts (mainly with kai) but other than that, it was fucking amazing. i was sad finishing it. it made me like pace around the room, yell my ass off at the tv, and i was like ranting abt to my friends who had no idea what the fuck i was saying. outstanding season. but ill forever be pissed that evan didnt win an emmy for kai
apocolypse - its up there with the most iconic. like micheal langdon as a whole is just iconic. the idea of incorporating all of the seasons in that universe together was really interesting. its a solid season with good plot and i really enjoyed it. but i gotta say, my favourite part is that they made madison less of a bitch. dont really have much to say abt this season other then the fact that its iconic and that the gallangdon fandom is dying and we need more stans
1984 - i actually liked it a lot. was kinda bummed that there was no sarah or evan but now that ive finished it, i dont think they would have fit. i think its kinda underrated. it was funny and sad and honestly kinda wholesome. i am pissed with the brooke and montana queer baiting but im a marvel fan so im hella used to it. brooke thompson is the loml tho she is bestest i love her sm actual badass. also jingles needs a hug. big time. and that scene when bobby finally met his dad and they had a really nice moment (i was in tears) but then MARGRET DECIDED TO REVIVE AND STAB JINGLES IN THE HEAD!!! but it was a great watch!!

🧸🔥 for all the ROs please?
🧸 : Into public displays of affection or are they more reserved?
nasiphe will barely show affection during the first stages of a relationship in private, much less in public. you could never get her to actually be affectionate with you around other people.
faelyn will be pretty shameless in public and doesn't really care who watches you because they want everyone to know how much they love you. they think its sweet to show you off
elsare will do small things like holding your hand or maybe a kiss on the cheek, but nothing more than that, they don't want the eyes of the public on you two more than they already are
levias is completely and utterly unfazed by attention from others, he would put multiple posters outside his tavern advertising his love for you if you let him
🔥 : What’s a surefire way to make your OC get flustered?
nasiphe isn't flustered easily, but pretty much any incredibly genuine verbal expression of love will make her do a double-take, even telling her you're proud of her offhandedly might catch her off guard for a split second. you might only get a small 'thanks' out of her, though
faelyn will eternally appreciate any and all compliments on their music from you, because it's something so close to their heart and any appreciation of it feels even more special coming from you than it does coming from a crowd of people listening from the sidelines
elsare will get flustered by anything, so much so, in fact, that some people might think you're a couple before you even are. they usually just laugh it off afterwards, but their initial reaction to any of your (or anyone else's) advances are usually pretty funny
levias literally cannot be flustered unless you're somebody who never responds to his advances, and then suddenly start flirting back , or if you do something so sweet or wholesome that he just can't believe you're real, an unexpected purity compared to what hes used to

Television Rules
Alright, so let me spill the beans on what's been bothering me lately. Recently, I've been feeling incredibly annoyed with my family and their complete infatuation with those dark, high-end TV shows that are clearly not suitable for kids. It's reached a point where their obsession has transformed them into TV snobs, and quite frankly, I've had enough of it. Their fixation on these dark shows has created a divide between us, as I find myself unable to relate to their conversations. It's disheartening to see their enthusiasm for something that I find unsettling and unsuitable for our family dynamic. I yearn for the days when we would gather around the TV to watch light-hearted sitcoms or engage in meaningful conversations that didn't revolve around fictional characters. It's become increasingly clear to me that this obsession with high-end TV shows is taking a toll on our family's relationships and overall well-being.
I mean, here I am, just trying to enjoy some innocent animated kids' shows, and they're giving me grief for it. Yeah, I might be a grown-up lad, but I've got my reasons. You see, I reckon watching those cartoons actually does some good for my artistic skills. It's like an autistic thing for me, in a way. And I've had enough of them acting like I'm doing something wrong. I've always been fascinated by the stunning animation techniques and the attention to detail in these kids' shows. The intricate plotlines and character developments often inspire me to think outside the box and push my own artistic boundaries. In a way, it's like a form of visual storytelling that ignites my imagination and fuels my creativity. So, why should I be judged or ridiculed for finding inspiration and solace in something that brings me joy and enhances my artistic skills?
They keep harping on about how adults shouldn't be watching cartoons. Well, if they're so quick to forget, it's adults who made those cartoons in the first place. Adults who dismiss the value of cartoons fail to recognise the immense talent and artistry that goes into creating these animated masterpieces. Cartoons are not just mindless entertainment; they possess complex themes, nuanced storytelling, and stunning visuals that captivate audiences of all ages. By appreciating and finding inspiration in cartoons, I am embracing a medium that has the power to transcend age barriers and ignite the imagination of anyone willing to open their mind to its wonders. It's like they've forgotten that creativity isn't confined to age, mate. But nah, they're too wrapped up in their bleak dramas and twisted mysteries to see the bigger picture.
And don't even get me started on Netflix. Every time I try to use the kids' account, they're all like, "Oi, that's for your younger cousins!" Like, give me a break. The grown-up version of Netflix is just a cesspool of grim tales and mind-boggling mysteries that I've had my fill of. So for me, there is nothing good to be watched in Netflix. So, I ain't budging on this one. If they want to judge me for sticking to the kids' account, then let 'em. I couldn't care less. At least with the kids' account, I know what to expect - bright colours, funny characters, and wholesome storylines. It's a breath of fresh air compared to the dark and twisted shows that dominate the adult section. Besides, who says cartoons are just for kids? I find them entertaining and lighthearted, a perfect escape from the harsh realities of the world. So, while others may scoff at my choice, I'll continue to enjoy my favourite animated shows on the kids' account, without a care in the world.
But here's the kicker. When I've got my own place someday, mark my words, I'm laying down some ground rules when it comes to TV time. It's going to be a whole different ball game under my roof. First off, no more of those overly premium, doom-and-gloom shows. None of that rubbish. Instead, we're sticking to the good stuff – kids' shows, educational bits, religious content, and lifestyle channels. Oh, and if they're hankering to watch something that ain't exactly for kids, they gotta come to me first. I want to create a positive and family-friendly environment in my home, and that starts with the television. I believe that exposing children to educational and age-appropriate content will not only entertain them but also stimulate their minds. Additionally, I want to ensure that any media they consume aligns with our family values and beliefs. By having them ask for permission to watch more mature shows, I can monitor what they are exposed to and have meaningful discussions about it.
Yeah, you heard me right. They'll need my permission. I'm gonna be the TV gatekeeper, examining the content and deciding whether it's fit for our screens or not. And let me tell you, I've got high standards. The shows I'll approve of? They gotta be light-hearted, family-oriented, a bit comedic, maybe even historical or educational, and definitely uplifting for the spirit. If they can't meet these simple criteria, they're out. I strongly believe that as the TV gatekeeper, it is my duty to ensure that my family is exposed to quality content that aligns with our values and promotes positive messaging. I want to foster a wholesome and enriching environment, where we can enjoy shows that not only entertain but also educate. By carefully examining each programme and selecting ones that meet these criteria, I can guarantee that our TV time will be both enjoyable and worthwhile. With my high standards, I am confident that our family's television experience will be nothing short of exceptional.
In terms of channel selection, I prefer to keep the options limited to a few specific categories. Firstly, I opt for kids' channels to ensure that the content remains suitable and engaging for younger viewers. Additionally, I am inclined towards educational channels as they provide informative and thought-provoking content that helps me broaden my knowledge. Furthermore, religious channels are important to me as they allow me to stay connected with my faith and engage in spiritual content. Lastly, lifestyle channels appeal to me as they offer a range of programmes related to health, wellness, fashion, and overall personal growth. These channels not only entertain me but also inspire me to lead a healthier and more fulfilling life. Moreover, lifestyle channels often feature experts who provide valuable tips and advice on various aspects of life, making them a valuable resource for self-improvement.
In order to maintain control over what is being watched in my space, I have established clear rules for the television. If anyone dares to disobey these rules, they will face consequences. For instance, if someone chooses to watch a violent movie without my permission, they will be immediately disconnected from the Wi-Fi for the entire duration of their stay. They are still free to watch whatever they desire on their personal mobile gadgets. This strict policy is in place to protect any young children who may be present from being exposed to any negative or disturbing content that could potentially influence them negatively. If they think this rule is too strict, I give them freedom to leave, but they will be considered as persona-non-grata in my household. By implementing this strict policy, I aim to create a positive and nurturing environment for them. I understand that some guests may find this rule challenging, but it is essential for maintaining a harmonious atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable and protected.
Oh, and just for a bit of extra mischief, I'm gonna hide Netflix in the TV settings and slap on some good ol' Christian-oriented Pureflix instead. That'll teach 'em a lesson about assuming things, won't it? So, there you have it, my grand plan to bring some sanity back to our telly time. It's all about maintaining a positive vibe and making sure our visitors' kiddos don't get scarred for life by the gloom and doom that's all too common these days. I believe it is important to further enhance the positive atmosphere of our television experience. By incorporating more uplifting and family-friendly shows and movies into our selection, we can ensure that our visitors' children are not exposed to the negativity and darkness that often pervades our screens. It's about creating a space where everyone feels comfortable and entertained, while also instilling valuable morals and lessons through Christian-oriented content.
In the end, I reckon it's about time someone stepped up and put a bit of order into our TV habits. Sure, we all like a good show now and then, but it shouldn't come at the cost of our overall well-being or the innocence of the little ones. Call me the TV sheriff if you will, but I'm determined to keep our home screen a source of joy, laughter, and a bit of education. It might ruffle a few feathers, but I'm willing to stand my ground for what I believe is right – a television time that's positive, inclusive, and a little cheeky at times. By curating a selection of programmes that promote kindness, empathy, and diversity, we can create a space where everyone feels represented and uplifted. Let's make our living room a sanctuary of positivity, where laughter is contagious and learning is disguised as fun. Together, we can redefine what it means to have a good show and create a TV experience that brings us closer as a family.
