i haven’t played p5/r in a while so forgive me that this entire thing is mostly off dome.

what i mean when i say “ryuji is the heart of the phantom thieves” is that i do genuinely believe that he is the glue that holds them together. without him, the group inarguably loses its charm, and would simply not function without him there. he’s outspoken, protective, and might be the only one who i feel has a genuine love toward every member of the group.

i need to replay to do a whole thinkpiece, but for now i do want to share the ryuji moments i remember the most, and why they are part of the concrete evidence that shows ryuji is the most important piece of the phantom thieves.

first of all:

such a casual dialogue that is amplified by a thousand simply because of ryuji’s unadulterated love for his friend… i am moved to tears by this interaction. i love him very much, and he is near and dear to the deepest parts of my heart.

secondly:

i admit im not in the know about a lot of persona fandom stuff, but i personally don’t see a lot of people talk about this? ignore joker on the right this ain’t about him. this is, i think, the first of many instances in which u notice how quickly ryuji jumps to defend his friends, namely his female friends, and it’s a huge part of him that draws me to his character.

since it’s atlus, it’s not hard to miss that ryuji is definitely victim to their “perverted male character” trope, but for me, the moments where ryuji is having genuine thought put behind his character, are the moments when he so intensely - and is usually the first to - defend the other phantom thieves.

another example:

the phantom thieves are each others biggest support system, as they’re a team, but ryuji is definitely the one we see show that off the most. i will not be going into details as this is all off the top of my head, but trust me i am thinking about his confidant and backstory as i write all of this out.

this has always been on my mind as well, because not a day goes by where i don’t think about how quickly ryuji reassures his friends, since they r the most important people to him in his life.

more and more:

a less serious one, but i do genuinely enjoy the thought of ryuji just bragging about his friends because of how cool he thinks they are. when i say ryuji is the most obvious about how much he loves them, i am deathly serious. that is his family.

was excited to include this as well, as it goes to show even people ryuji has only known for a month are still worth going to war for. ryuji holds such an affection for his friends that it’s like i don’t even have to say more. he is literally speaking for himself here. i will never understand how anyone could dislike someone so passionate for the happiness of their own friends?

lastly:

i am personally not a huge fan of the negative dynamic atlus likes to portray between ryuji and morgana a lot of the time, so this is why this frenzy(?) is one of my favorites in p5d. morgana is the character ryuji fights with the most, and yet when morgana is feeling dejected, ryuji is there to pick him back up. obviously i know this is how the dance works and whatnot, but u cannot lie and tell me ryuji making him happy again didn’t make u almost cry a bit… it’s okay, i did too…

conclusion:

this ryuji shit gets serious, be prepared to die behind it.

Steve had heard it all from his parents:

“Why don’t you have a girlfriend yet?”

“Just go out on a date, Steven.”

“You spend all damn day at that video store; you’re never gonna meet anyone that way.”

He normally shrugs it off, until his parents give him an ultimatum: get a girlfriend before the annual Harrington Family Reunion in two weeks, or don’t bother showing up at all.

“Twenty years old, and you barely passed high school, work a dead-end job, and don’t even have a girlfriend,” his father mutters, disgust marring his features. “You’re a disappointment.”

The insult reverberates around his skull all day: disappointment, disappointment, disappointment. It’s not the first time his father has hurled the term his way, and it likely won’t be the last, but the impact continues to sting.

It’s still gnawing at him when you walk in the door, sliding a VHS copy of The Shining across the counter with a bashful smile.

“Sorry, I know it’s a day late,” you apologize, already digging into your bag for change. “How much is the fee?”

Steve dismisses the notion with a wave. “Don’t worry about it,” he says, already checking the movie back into the system. “You, uh, went to Hawkins High, right?”

“Mhm,” you confirm, zipping up your purse and hitching it back up your shoulder, “class of ‘86.”

“‘85,” he chirps, clearing his throat to temper his enthusiasm. “Anyway, hope the movie was good.”

You nod and smile again; the gentle upturn of your lips has Steve melting. “It was. The book was better, though.”

And that’s when Steve finally places you: back in high school, you volunteered at the school library and, on more than one occasion, had helped him find a book for research projects. You were pretty then, and you’re even prettier now.

“I haven’t read the book,” he admits, embarrassed that he hasn’t read much of anything besides a comic book or two since graduation.

Your jaw drops. “Well, now you have to!” You grab your car keys from your back pocket. “I’ll swing by tomorrow with my copy, if that’s cool?”

“Y-Yeah, ‘s cool,” he stutters, giving his head a soft shake to shift the hair from his hazel eyes. He watches as you walk out of the store, the sway of your hips drawing him in.

He probably would have stared forever if Robin hadn’t cut in. “Hey, Dingus, you’re drooling.”

You stop by Family Video the next day to drop off the book. And then a few days after that, you go there again to grab another movie. Soon enough, you’re a regular customer.

“Can I ask you for a favor?” Steve blurts out from where he’s standing next to you as you peruse the horror section. “Feel free to say no, to tell me to fuck off, and I will. I will just…fuck right off.”

“Shoot.”

“Could you pretend to be my girlfriend at my family reunion next weekend? Nothing weird,” he rushes to add, not wanting to imply any unwanted contact. “Just hand holding, arm around your shoulder…no feels will be copped, I swear.”

You pinch your eyebrows, perplexed. “Is this the trade-off for having my late fee waived?” you tease, thumbing The Exorcist and tugging it from its spot on the shelf. “Because I’ll pay it.”

Steve laughs, shaking his head. “Nah, just tired of hearing my folks complain about me not having my life together. Figured if I showed up with a smart, pretty girl on my arm, they’d shut up for a little while.”

Your face burns at the compliments, both at the words and that King Steve is the one saying them. “What’s the dress code?”

You and Steve arrive in his Beemer, his hand already pressed to the small of your back as you walk into the restaurant. A room filled with Harringtons greet you as you enter the room, and your stomach flips as you wonder if you can pull this off.

“Showtime,” Steve murmurs in your ear, taking you around the room to meet his family. You’re suddenly self-conscious of where your black dress lands on your thighs and the cut of the neckline. Sure, Steve had approved it, but what did he know?

You note that he’s been gazing at you since he’d picked you up earlier, eyes drawn to you like a magnetic force. It’s part of the whole bit, you try and convince yourself, but something nags at you that Steve isn’t that good of an actor.

The conversations go as easily as they can; you spend the evening peppering in “facts” about your relationship that you and Steve had rehearsed over and over. Some of the details were truthful, like meeting at Family Video and bonding over horror movies. Other parts were much more embellished: relationship duration, your first date, the way Steve bragged that you were the most beautiful girl he’s ever laid eyes on.

It’s smooth sailing until Steve’s inebriated father stands up, clumsily clinking his knife to his wine glass. “I’d like to make a toast,” he slurs, swaying as he speaks, “to my son, Steve, and his girl! Never thought I’d see the day he’d land someone like her.”

Your eyes remain glued to the floor, waiting for the moment to be over, but if the impromptu speech wasn’t awkward enough, one of Steve’s equally drunk uncles calls out, “Give her a kiss, Stevie!”

Steve shakes his head with an uncomfortable chuckle. “Nah, we’re not really into the public–”

“Aw, c’mon!” His boisterous voice echoes throughout the restaurant. “Kiss, kiss, kiss!” he chants, and soon enough, most of the family joins in.

“Shall we shut them up?” Steve mumbles, turning to you. “Y’don’t have to…”

“N-No, we can.” It’s not the most conventional first kiss, but then again, nothing about this arrangement is normal. “We can just…”

Steve’s hand is on your cheek, nose nudging against yours as your lips press together. This isn’t a simple peck; no, it’s far more involved, more intimate, than you had anticipated.

You melt into him a bit more, resting your own hand on his bicep until the kiss comes to an end. The men hoot and holler; the women exchange awws.

“Now that,” Steve’s dad guffaws, clapping a hand on his son’s back, “is the kiss of true love!”

You manage a small smile, wondering exactly what just happened. The kiss was the best of your life, and it was supposedly just for show.

Steve’s breath tickles your earlobe as he whispers, “he may be drunk, but he’s not wrong.” His cheeks are pink at the admission.

It’s certainly a conversation you’ll need to have later, but you can’t say you disagree. For now, your fingers intertwine with his, and you give them a quick squeeze.

Maybe it’s the wine, but you swear you love him back.

OK SO. the animations family.

first off i have to explain the QSMP a bit. the QSMP (nobody's really sure what the q stands for afaik) is a multilingual minecraft smp that first started in march 2023. the original server roster was 16 players, half of whom were hispanic and half who were english speakers. (this was bc quackity, the guy who came up with the server and did all the planning and stuff, is bilingual and wanted to unite his two communities). one of these original 16 was jaiden animations (this is important). on the first day of the server, these 16 members were stranded in a place called Quesadilla Island, which is controlled by a mysterious and sinister Federation (run by a weird little guy named Cucurucho)

okay, you know the trope of science projects where you get split up into pairs and have to take care of an egg together? they literally did that. All of the players were split into pairs of one spanish-speaker and one english-speaker, and tasked with taking care of an egg (actually a special NPC played by a server admin). the eggs started out with two lives each, and once those lives were out, the egg's gone for good, and your in-game child is dead. (this is a secret surprise tool that will help us later!)

one of these parenting pairs was jaiden animations and roier, and their egg's name was bobby. bobby was a rambunctious little fella- artistic, brave, very aggressive- and an absolute mama's boy. jaiden, roier, and bobby (aka the animations family) all got along very well, and tbh i need to go rewatch jaiden's vods of them bc they were so sweet together. jaiden changed her minecraft skin to match bobby's so they were both wearing overalls together.

(^ mentally i am here)

jaiden's character (or cubito, a word from the spanish speaking community that essentially means "minecraft roleplay character" that p much the whole community uses now bc its so damn cute) was aroace (just like jaiden in real life!), so she and q!roier were in a qpr co-parenting situation. and it was really sweet and i miss them. can you tell i miss them.

now, astute readers may have noticed that i use "was" for both jaiden and bobby. on may 17th, 2023, bobby lost his second life to a vindicator and was ruled permanently dead. roier was there at the time, I believe, but was unable to save bobby in time. when jaiden found out, she SCREAMED and it was like. you know in hamilton how when phillip dies eliza screams? it sounded like that. (she also chased after the sunset while saying "wait for me" over and over again, it was really heartbreaking and im still a little bit insane about this).

the next day, the whole server went on a journey to the dungeon bobby died in, to plead with cucurucho for his revival. cucurucho refused to bring bobby back permanently, but allowed jaiden and roier ten minutes to talk with him and say their goodbyes. bobby asked them to remember him every time they saw a sunset.

(^ the last time the whole animations family was together. this was 9.5 months ago).

neither q!jaiden nor q!roier ever really fully recovered from bobby's death (although id say jaiden was hit way harder due to not having a support system outside of roier and cucurucho, who took advantage of her grief to manipulate her). there are some other things that happened here, such as q!roier getting married to a cellbit, a brazilian player working as a double agent of sorts within the federation, and purgatory (all the players were teleported to an island, separated into three groups, and forced to fight one another. in the end the island got blown up by a nuke).

on sunday, cc!jaiden talked about her qsmp character, ultimately stating that she was taking a long break from the server, that she had given the admins permission to do whatever they want with her character's absence, and essentially announced that unless the admins stated otherwise, q!jaiden had died in the nuke explosion in purgatory, firmly destroying the animations family.

(to me, the saddest part is that, recently, new eggs were assigned to groups of childless players, and both jaiden and roier got the chance to raise new eggs, with jaiden being assigned to empanada and roier currently being pepito's sole active parent. and all q!jaiden wanted was to be a mom. she died never knowing she had a second chance to rebuild her family. i am no okay.)

in conclusion:

THE LOVE WAS THERE AND THERE WAS NOTHING THEY CAN DO. I AM CRYING IN REAL LIFE I MISS HER SO BAD. SHE'S WITH BOBBY NOW.

well since today is apparently a RANT POST kind of day, im gonna type up some thoughts ive had on vanitas ive wanted to get out of my system (i dont like him)

i realize expending energy on smth negative doesnt help anyone, but its the sort of thing ive had eating at my brain, and im hoping writing it down will allow me to stop thinking about it so much lol (luv having ocd alongside being autistic)

i do not understand the love for vanitas. i really dont.

and im not talking about fans who like him bc hes edgy sora. theyre villain fuckers. i get that.

i mean i dont understand how many people legitimately think hes a sympathetic character with more depth than just, like, being an asshole.

and before anyone says anything, yes, i know the bbs novel goes into his backstory, and makes it really tragic.

but kh3 did absolutely no job whatsover of incorporating any of that into his scenes in the game. he just comes off as the same big asshole that caused nothing but pain and suffering for the wayfinder trio in bbs

like all of the members of the real organization had some sort of redeeming moment before they died again, except for him. to me it felt like he just flipped off ven and sora and went, ‘haha fuck you guys i LOVE being darkness and i LOVE being evil see yall fucking later’, even as sora was trying to reach out to him

(yes i realize theres smth involving the translation of this scene, but im just gonna go off the english dub rn)

and. it sounds really petty. and a sign i might take shipping too seriously.

but i keep thinking about this shit because tumblr keeps recommending an artist on here that draws so/vani + vani/ku + so/ri/vani

and i cannot wrap my mind around those ships at ALL

even besides vanitas having soras face, why in gods name would a pure, sweet, innocent boy like him want to date just. the biggest douchebag??

and riku??? the one desperately in love with sora???? THAT riku??? dating a boy who looks like sora but is the exact opposite of him in terms of personality???????

its like. doing a disservice to both of their characters to have them involved with him IMO. like why would they ever. theyre so much better than him. they DESERVE better.

again. i know its just shipping and i know ppl are having fun. i recognize theyre not hurting anyone. and they often make up aus specifically to fit their ships. but i just.

i do not get it, man. vanitas sucks.

(its worth mentioning i am bitter also bc i always see ppl call xion [my fav female character and like second or third fav character overall] the most pointless/shoehorned character in kh. and i just wanna be like. excuse me, have you SEEN vanitas???)

Hi so long story short shipping jesslupe and the way its made me imagine my butch4butch dreams for the first time is making me realize i for sure want to get sober bc ive been numbing out bc i haven’t been being myself and i wanna explore being my #trueself while im actually mentally present for it but addiction is a thing sooooooo im going to rehab later this week

And i decided im gonna become a contributing fandom member fucking finally while im there lol

My resources are limited i will not have internet access for a while

But theres still so much i can do music, writing, art stuffs

So im gonna keep a running list of things i wanna try to work on while im there and im posting it to hold myself accountable

Plus representation fucking matters and my story as a jewish queerio child of queer mamas and person who’s been put away in the psych system and stuff like that is super valid and matters

Idk im rly nervous about going to rehab sorry im being a nerd lol just tryna psych myself up

But some things i would looove to work on are:

-drawings! And paintings! I rly just wanna try to art, i need to find pics probably and print them out for reference bc i wont have internet there lmfao *shows up to rehab with a giant stack of pictures of girls playing baseball nbd*

-a friends to lovers fic idk what genre yet but i just wanna ok

-a song about how jesslupe has awakened this ferocious butch4butch energy in me lmao nobody can stop me

-a fantasy au fic! Idk what yet maybe crossover maybe just witchy vibes but something spoopy and fun :))

-a fic with a song in it that im gonna write that one if them writes about the other in the ficverse NOBODY CAN STOP ME FROM BEING THE EMO BITCH I AM DEEP DOWN🖤

-i kind of want to write a fic about them meeting in a psychiatric setting is that so fucked???😬 like i dont wanna inflict that on u all but i feel like it could be rly healing to write idk if i will publish this one lol

-fic where someone is coaching someone else on how to flirt with girls, with the obvious undercurrent that they are both in fact girls and so maybe theyre actually just flirting with each other? this is inspired by my bff and ex who i was talking with the other day and had this dynamic with and we were laughing about it and i was like lmao im writing a jesslupe fic about this so now i have to so i can show her😊

-pwp idk what yet but if im gonna dive in might as well be on the deep end amiright🤷🏻

-gender stuff of any and all mediums just like all the butch/enby feels are gonna get artified

-a personal essay about aloto and my experience watching it with my mamas and realizing so much about my own queer identity but also still having so many questions

I really really do think Jimin got great taste in songs and some may say that its JK's signature to use lyrics as a way to connect to the fan. But I do think this is a similae trait that Jimin has... Maybe once you get along so long, you pick up each other traits / habits?

Just watched Jimin's W behind the scene. While it leaves me wanting for more because I do think that its highly curated by Jimin... I came away with a gold mine. He made a song recommendation Honne.

And can I just say Wow. Maybe his raw feelings are expressed to his choice of songs or movies. You just need to dig deeper and be more proactive about it. It just makes me think again that Jimin is all abt layers. He makes you work for it and if you are attentive enough, smart enough then you will find meanings in his words and gestures. I know there is a well known saying that he has the tendency to say things just enough while not revealing any information. But if you read between the lines and care to dig deeper you will find gold mines.

Ok lets start with his song recommendation by Honne. Went off to my Spotify and immediately played Honne's songs and can I just say wow - Jimin really is a romantic and soft person. Two songs somehow clicked in my mind after listening to Honne: 1) Location Unknown and 2) Day One.

Location Unknown. The first I think kinda resembles his activities after the group hiatus where Jimin is busy with his own stuff (read: preparing for his solo album). In "location unknown" he expressed that hes away right now but he will be back and hes hoping his loved ones will wait for him. & lyrics below just resonates so deeply with regards to his activities and maybe his precious relationship.

Note that somewhere in the W interview he also revealed that during the making of his solo album that he felt lost and he went to the members to look for comfort. Doesn't the above lyrics somewhat give more colors to the things he said verbally?

Day One. Somehow when I listen to this song I feel hes relating to his members. The love of his life and arguably his most solid support system. You need to go back to what he said during Festa 2020 when he said that he wants to continue the days of them being the 7 together. Also when he said during Festa 2022 when he said he views himself as Jimin of BTS and not comfortable of viewing himself as a single unit. And somehow the lyrics below feels like a tribute to the members and army to a certain extent. Read lyrics below and tell me if as army you dont feel touched.

Maybe im bias. And I do admit I worship the ground that Jimin walks on. But I decide to be unapologetic about it because I value myself enough to know that I got great vision and taste. And Jimin really is striking all the Ts and dotting the Is in the inspirational box.

Another is movie recommendation: Reborn Rich. The remarks Jimin made here is that he made that recommendation because everyone is watching it. & it seems that the main character (MC) is having a hard time. But after watching a few episodes of Reborn Rich, I do draw some parallels to Jimin in a certain way. The MC comes from an unpriviledge background where he was basically being looked down but manage to use his knowledge and brain to turn the situation around to those whom oppress the MC. So far rings a bell to the BangTan story in the early days and their current success? Remember in one of the Festa, Jimin also said he made his own way. A similar plot unfolds in the "Reborn Rich". MC do have key characters whom will help him along the way. No spoilers but the ending also shows how Jimin values family relationship.

The key with him (not that Im professing that I know him) is to dig deeper and read btw the lines. And I swear even if those are your own inferences, Jimin is a gift that keeps giving. You will find meanings, good ones, in what he chooses to share.

How to Lose a Couple Guys

Part 1

The Maknae line is chatting over break one day pondering their colleagues. When it comes to you they come to the unsurprising conclusion that they all find you attractive. And so, despite your no co-workers rule, they make a bet to see who can win your heart.

Smut will be in the 3rd part, Big dick, Rough, Mirror sex

“Thanks again for getting me the job guys,” Jungkook said over coffee in the breakroom.

“Not a problem. Couldn’t leave our little bro without a job.” Jimin shrugged.

“Plus it’ll be a lot more fun around the office with you to boss around,” Taehyung grins.

They each sip their drinks and take in the office around them. Everyone is busy chatting with clients or other members of staff. Everyone except you. Sat at your desk typing away you had completely blocked out the world around you to catch up on work.

“What’s her deal?” Jungkook asks pointing his mug in your direction.

“Y/N? I don’t really know; she won’t talk to anyone.” Tae responds.

“She won’t talk to you… She talks to everyone else, she just can’t stand you.” Jimin points out, just as another colleague walks up and proves his point. They watch as you lift your eyes away from your desktop to talk to the woman in front of you, laughing at a joke. The other woman walks away, and you go back to what you were doing.

“She’s pretty.” Jungkook sighs more to himself than anyone else.

“Good luck with that. She had a pretty hard and fast rule about not dating anyone she works with the entire time she’s been here. And trust me people have tried.” Jimin grumbles the last part

“Meaning you got turned down more than once?” Jungkook says making Taehyung laugh.

“Only once!.. I wasn’t brave enough to try again.” The blonde suddenly finds his coffee fascinating, unable to look at his companions.

“I bet she wouldn’t turn me down,” Tae gloats with unearned confidence.

“I thought Jimin just said she hated you…”

“She doesn’t hate me; I reckon she’s just a little shy, plus I’ve never seen her hold a conversation with Jimin either…” The eldest’s ears perk back up at that comment. He doesn’t even speak. He stands from his chair grabs a bottle of soda from the fridge and swans off to your desk flashing a smile at the other boys.

Taehyung and Jungkook look on as Jimin sets the soda down on your desk. The break room is too far away from your desk for them to overhear your conversation, but they can quite clearly see the way you smile at the drink. To prove his point Jimin hangs around for a little while, trying to make you laugh (and succeeding). He then returns to a mildly star struck Jungkook and a very grumbly Tae.

“Well if I took her a present she’d be nice to me too…” He pouts.

“Wanna bet?” Jimin asks staring him down.

“What if I did? What if we all made a little bet? See who she says yes to a date with first? Even better, see who she kisses first, a date is nothing.” Taehyung challenges back, briefly breaking the eye contact to include Jungkook.

“You’re on!” the oldest responds as Kookie nods in agreement. And that’s how this all started…

“Flowers for Y/N?” The delivery man calls from the front desk. Your head perks up in confusion. The man is sent in your direction with the biggest bouquet of your favourite flowers that you have ever seen. You thank the man as he places them on your desk, cheeks reddening as more people in the office turn to stare at you.

You rifle through the petals to try and find a card attached to the absurd decoration. You can’t help but smell the Osmanthus and lavender that’s been buried in the middle as you disturb the pollen. You feel a little bad for anyone in the office with hay fever...

You look up to find Jimin grinning at you from the HR office across the room. Rather than drawing more attention to yourself by getting up to go and see him you open the works IM system to find a message from Jimin already waiting for you

J- Did you get the flowers?

Y- You saw them arrive...

Y- I thought the survey last week was to get to know the staff better for secret Santa…

J- It was… what? I can’t send one of my favourite colleagues a little present to show how much the company appreciates them?

Y – This feels like a gross misuse of your HR powers.

J- Do you not like them? I can send them back if you like? Get you a bigger bunch.

You can see him smiling at himself for that one, knowing there’s no way you’d accept more, at least not yet.

Y – No these are lovely.

J – Then just enjoy them and say ‘thank you Jimin’

You grumble to yourself and roll your eyes before responding again.

Y- Thank You, Jimin.

You close the file and return to your work. The amount of attention you’d been getting lately was very flattering, but it was definitely starting to get suspicious.

All week the new intern, Jungkook, had been hovering around ready to do anything for you at the drop of a hat. He even brought you Starbucks every morning on his way in, complete with a muffin. He says it’s because he knows you forget to eat some days. It’s lovely but really out of nowhere.

Then there is Taehyung. The biggest pain in your ass. He has gone from being the most annoying man in the office with his loud laugh, barely skating by work, and extravagant presentations to quiet as a mouse and extremely helpful. The change was unsettling and aggravating at first as he wheeled his chair over to your desk and offered you help on your presenting skills, but you do have to admit, going through it with him before meetings has definitely made you more confident.

Finally, Jimin has been the most accommodating HR manager in the world. He submitted all of your holidays with no issues, calls you in for mental checks (fancy speak for a gossip), and of course there are the little presents. The flowers were just the latest. It started with the best slice of cake from someone’s birthday, then there was juice on your desk after the meeting, after that there was a box of chocolates. Each one came with a little note ranging from friendly to suggestive.

If you didn’t know any better you’d say you had some romantic admirers… But you do know better. One of the copy girls had overheard the men make their little bet over who could win your affection and scurried over to tell you immediately. If they were going to try to play with your emotions, you were going to milk it for all it was worth.

Each time you were sure one of them was going to ask you out, (their eyes lidded, bodies leaning towards yours, clearly distracted) you changed the topic. Left them confused and floundering to recover from the almost intimate moment.

It was extremely funny to those of you in the know. Other betting pools had sprung up around the office. One took money on who you were going to let win, if anyone. Another asked how far each man would go. A third was taking chances on how long it would take the men to figure out you were fucking with them right back.

However, only a week in and Jimin had already decided to spend somewhere around £100 on some flowers… It was getting to be a little much for a prank. And so the next time you found yourself alone with each of the boys you allowed them to ask you out, you were just very careful to make sure they wouldn’t cross paths with the others until after you’d said yes to each one.

ive been wanting to ramble bout this for years (like since 2019 HAHA) but i held off on it because i figured the fandom phenomenon i was seeing was gonna be a one off thing. something thatd fade with time.

it wasnt. it's still here and so i wanna articulate what i think about

the fast food-ification of fandom

here’s the thing about fandom right now; we operate on social media platforms that are inherently fast paced. social media platforms these days prioritize new and popular content, but more than that, it creates an audience that is always searching for new content very, very quickly.

tumblr is a bit of a lesser evil, in terms of contributing to this (still does, tho, dont think im exempting hellsite derogatory, LMAO). but twitter, imo, is a hellscape with a system that hammers this in so so much: the lack of an explorable archive, no account specific tag search mechanism, a timeline algorithm that shows an account's followers the popular tweets first instead of chronologically and oftentimes even if you follow that account you will not be able to see all the tweets that account makes lest you go to the profile specifically. twitter is built for "new new new!" and it's not its fault, i guess, cuz it was not designed with fandom interaction in mind. still, it's become a very popular fandom platform and the "new new new!" mindset the system promotes ends up seeping into the members of fandom itself.

and there’s nothing wrong with wanting new content. but the problem here, i think, is the speed at which we consume fanwork. and the lack of memory for fanwork thats already been made.

fanwork consumption feels like it's going 100000000 mph with these kinds of systems and thanks to the lack of a navigate-able archive or tagging system, it's nigh impossible to find something from even last week. an incredible piece of fanart or fanfic or any fanwork gets attention for 3 days tops before it's lost and very very difficult to find. things are so fast and it's harder to remember them now.

swerve to another point: the trend of silence

im gonna bash on twitter again (SORRY KJSFBSD, like, i do have a twitter btw so im speaking from experience. i'd like to make it clear im not bashing ppl who do like/use twitter, im waving my hands frustratedly at twitter's systems) cuz tweet wc limits make it so that literally not much can be said! additionally, to add comments in QRT takes attention/notifs away from original poster, so if u QRT an art with praise, OP will see that! but if ppl reply more praise to the art on that QRT, OP will not get notified so that praise might as well have been yelled to the void

im a passionate believer that if youve got something nice to say about a fanwork and/or the creator of that fanwork, say it on their turf so they can see it. twitter makes it easier for this to not happen. positive attention and feedback matters so so much to creators and im p sure im not alone in saying that i cherish each and every comment (be it on ao3 or tumblr tags/comments or asks) ive ever gotten

and like, i know the argument to that is "make fanwork for yourself! dont make it for attention, do it cuz you enjoy it!" and "for every feedback you dont get, theres many lurkers who value and love what you do!"

i agree with that first thing very much but only the bit that says "do it cuz you enjoy it!" cuz yea! fandom is about having fun! but also like...isnt the point of fandom the fact that it's not just you alone, but you in a community?

a big draw of fandom, for me, is that it's likeminded deranged nerds all obsessed about the same thing. these are people on similar wavelengths and theyre people PLURAL. do fanwork cuz you enjoy it but the implication that a fancreator should be happy in isolation doesnt make sense cuz thats not what fandom is about.

and as for "there are lurkers who silently enjoy what you make" well...why?

why not say something when youve got something nice to say?

be it fanart or fanfic or fanmeta or anything, if the thought already pops up in your head, why not say it somewhere the creator can see it?

i totally understand if youre shy or if it's difficult to put into words whatever your thoughts are, like, huge mood. but also fandom becomes an infinitely funner space to be in when people are saying things

even a comment thats something simple and short makes the current landscape of fast paced churning out of fanworks feel less like we’re shouting in a forest alone, and more like we’re shouting in a forest and somebody yelled “I LOVED THIS” back. it’s really nice.

this is not a criticism towards anybody, but instead just kinda like, an inquiry to how we consume and interact with fanwork, these days. it’s really fast. like, so fast. tags update daily with new things every single day, every second, and it’s easy to just look and look and not say a thing. and that ease of fanwork consumption also makes it easy to forget just how hard it is to make things. how hard it is to make anything at all.

so much heart and effort is put into every work in fandom, and ive always seen fandom as a space for unapologetic enjoyment and community. treating fandom like a fast-food transaction where u get a thing in 5 minutes and drive off is...well, i dunno. but for me, among many things, it makes us forget just how much heart and effort is in all things.

i LOVED the ability to make it clear the MC has abandonmemt issues in how they respond to their grandfather!!!

my MC is sweet, nice, and shy though she tries to be friendly and dresses colorfully-- and i just loved the dissonance between that and her going "He wanted to take care of a dog but not me?"/"So he spent hours drawing me but refused to get into contact?" quite bitterly. i end up getting too into my character's heads, personally, (it feels like method acting but im not a good actor) and started tearing up at all the mentions the grandfather dropped about his grandkid, and by the time we got to the broken arm and i saw the blue ribbon story i just imagined my MC slamming the book closed bc she needed a minute and going "Don't write about me as if you actually cared about what happened to me" and i needed to take a minute away from the game to not cry further (i dont even have anyone in my life who left me or died like this, its not like this was a sensitive topic for me-- tho my ESA did come hurrying along and complaining loudly that i was crying and obviously in need of cuddles)

like i am FULLY engrossed in these potential abandonment issues; i think theyre so interesting and very well-written ♡ thank you for giving us some parental bitterness as a treat lmao

(also, i forget if this was mentioned in the beginning, but after grandpa gave the MC up, did he MC move in with other family members or were they put into the foster care system??)

woul it be spoilery to ask how the ROs face against loving a MC with abandonment issues?? if its spoilery to ask about how they react when its @grandpa specifically, may i ask how they fare when it affects their relationship??? like, MC is having a bad brain day and feels all sensitive and raw, and so they tearily asks the RO not to leave them to go out yet-- or the RO and the MC getting briefly seperated and the RO spots MC before the MC spots the RO, and so the RO sees MC's terrified and betrayed and kinda 'No no no no not again' expression like they've been ditched which does fade into pure (and a lil bit teary eyed) relief when MC does see the RO?? or any scenario youd wanna answer about concerning how parental abandonment issues emerge in a romantic relationship? if thats spoilers too, thats totally fine too ♡♡♡ i hope you have a great day!! and thank you again for the wicked customization, again, im absolutely adoring the ability to customize how the MC reacts to their relationship with their grandfather, youve polisher this excellently ♡

Thank you for your kind words and I really enjoyed learning more about your MC, especially how the events in the update impacted both you and them.

The dissonance you mention is really interesting to read about--how your MC's reactions to their grandfather clashes or seem different than their typical kind/shy personality. Writing those choices into the game were important to me to give you all options to tailor the relationship; the choices you mentioned are contrasted by a more unfazed route or a MC who is possibly more forgiving (?) or trying to keep their grandfather in a positive light (e.g. the give an uncertain smile. 'the drawing is kind of...sweet?' choice), etc. There will be more choices as we go relating to him with what you learn presenting opportunities for you to change your opinion, stick to it, and so forth. I'm so glad you like that variety! :D

Hmm, I think I published an ask that alluded to that answer. Your time outside of Fernweh is not something I will get too specific about to allow for rp-ing. I will be mentioning childhood things and what happened right after the departure, but I will have to be vague for right now.

You are asking some really amazing questions and are thinking so deeply about the story! 😊 I am sorry to say that it is a bit spoilery to touch on those issues that may eventually come into play, or at least there may be options that allow you to touch on them. Someone told me that there were 2 satanic temples and one of them was kind of wack but the other was cool

omg thank you for giving me an excuse to talk about this!! also sorry in advance for the long ass two part explanation but satanism is definitely becoming a new hyperfixation for me and you asked for it soooo (TL;DR at the end for your reading leisure).

ok so the two most well known satanic organizations are the satanic temple and the church of satan and most likely these r the ones you were told about. like I said I actually ended up having to cut this post into two parts because it ended up being so long so here's part one:

1.) the satanic temple

the satanic temple was founded in 2012 by lucien greaves and another guy who doesn't matter (jk his name is malcolm jarry and he's actually a musician but he's not really associated with the temple anymore) and they're probably the "cool" church out of the two. this is the one that's always doing all that cool pro-choice and pro separation of church and state activism you're always hearing about, as well as famously performing a pink mass to posthumously turn the dead mother of the founder of the westboro baptist church into a lesbian for eternity. While in general I agree with a lot of the positions that the satanic temple holds, and i think their activism and the way they intentionally try to make fundies mad is very cool, i have a few issues with them.

first of all, they are basically an athiest activist group in a satanist hat. They espouse basically zero spiritual beliefs related to actual satanism and are described on wikipedia as a "nontheistic religion". on their website they generally use a horribly patronising "we're not one of those silly superstitious religions that actually believes in our diety" tone in regards to religion which I honestly find so gross. I understand that they use satanism specifically to draw attention to themselves and draw the ire of fundamentalist christians, and as I said I can definitely respect that. however I personally am not an athiest and I think its kind of dumb to do all that just to be a bunch of basic ass athiests who happen to have a shared value system at the end of the day, especially since there are a lot of other very real religions that actually have pro life and anti child abuse messages that are already part of their religious teachings. So, i'm not necessarily going to get mad at anyone for being a member of this particular satanist group but i'm not a big fan.

my second issue is named lucien greaves. he's the one of the two founders who's the most publicly associated with the temple and acts as its spokesperson. he is a very controversial figure. I don't really have much else to elaborate on except that I just kind of think he's a dick. I already hinted at this a little bit in this post but the fact that the satanic temple was founded so recently by someone I like so little means that I, personally, can't in good faith separate the ideology of the temple from greaves' own shittiness (for example, based on the way he talks in interviews im pretty sure a lot of the anti-spiritualism sentiment comes from him). remember the pink mass I mentioned earlier? well, if you clicked that link you'd know that during the ceremony (which otherwise included two same-sex couples kissing over the grave which is fine and harmless obviously) greaves took out his penis and laid it on top of the gravestone???????? Pretty much every article and video i've seen mention this part has treated it like a funny haha moment but to me it comes off as......incredibly unnecessary and disrespectful overkill. So, yeah, I don't like him much, but once again I don't really fault anyone who decides to support the temple for activism reasons.

LoSH S2 discussion

I love Legion of Superheroes. And i love season 2, but that doesn’t mean I don’t think about how it could have been improved. In terms of quality, it varies more than season 1. Some parts are top tier while others… eh.

Season 2 is darker than season 1. And there’s the inherent stigmatism that darker means better. But it’s not true.

A horror schlock film is not inherently better than an animated film.

I don’t blame the staff on all its shortcomings. Kids WB was on its deathbed, so they probably had less time to work and iron out ideas. And executive meddling.

The second season had a lot of good elements, but there are things that weighed it down. I am here to discuss how to improve said things.

Heads up: ended up editing part of this post after rewatching the episodes.

This first bit is more of a personal preference, but instead of the 41st century, maybe move the original source of conflict to a farther region of space, one that the UP doesn’t interact with, and has been growing in terms of turmoil until they finally resort to bringing the Legion over. In other words, it has just been put aside by everyone else to the last minute.

Parallel to Brainy’s relationship to Brainiac. He doesn’t want to deal with it. He never brings it up. But maybe if he did, he wouldn’t have gotten corrupted.

This place still has plenty of old documentation of the original age of superman, so Kell is disillusioned with the ideal glory days. Keep Kell Edgy.

Kell’s home and K3NT still gets destroyed - reflects Krypton’s own destruction.

SPEAKING OF KELL:

Make his story more apparent that it’s one realizing that kindness is not an inherent weakness. And neither is being soft. He was raised for fighting and killing Imperiex, and was taught to think that they were weaknesses. Have him realize his identity can be beyond the Clone of Superman made to kill Imperiex. Or rather, have him react more to realizing that he’s moving beyond his given identity.

To clarify; they do address his development in the show a few times, but I want more continuous development instead of the rapid nods we get. Have him try to interact in a more humane way with others. Especially with other members of the Legion. Where they have to take a double take in seeing him acting not that edgy. Maybe offer more flashback of him fighting Imperiex in comparison, and how he treated allies then.

Also put K3NT’s story under the microscope. I doubt Imperiex just came out of nowhere with his attacks. Plus the fact they went far enough to send a hitman after a fucking child? That screams yikes and maybe we need to double check the story.

And an overall issue to be addressed is what rights do robots have and what conditions need to be met? Because let’s face it, we make robots to do complex work for us. But Colu is a culture where the main people ARE robots. Like in Transformers. What line do we draw between non-sentient robots vs the sentient ones in the 31st century? And what about cyborgs/people who give up their original bodies for robotic ones?

Plus Imperiex himself came to be because of the perfected combination of organic tissue and robotics. This topic of robots and individuality/personhood could have been a fun topic to explore.

Don’t sideline the girls. Leave TG alone.

Don’t put SG in a coma for nearly the whole season - seriously it’s the reason why the guys make one bad decision after the other. Although with that said, it’s because she’s not around we got the majority of s2 plots. She’s the goddamn mom of the squad. Just make her busier and unable to keep an eye on her idiot boys for the plots based on bad decisions to happen.

Or have her deal with after-effects of what Esper did to her. Maybe after a whole season of being the emotional support character, have her be the one in need of emotional support or not being able to help directly, especially when the group needs emotional support. Emotional support paradox.

Maybe don’t make Cosmic Boy appear as much as a dick in the episodes where he does show up. He’s trying to hold this goddamn team together, and there’s a goddamn tyrant trying to conquer the galaxy. HE’S FUCKING TIRED AND STRESSED. AND IM SURE THERE ARE A BUNCH OF JERKS WHO WANT TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THAT TO DISSOLVE THE LEGION. Better yet, throw in some more backstory with him and his little brother Pol!

And in regards to Imperiex… The dude has a lot of potential. I like his voice actor, Phil Morris. The guy voiced Dr. Sweets from Atlantis.

But his writing needs help.

In the original DC comics, he’s the embodiment of Entropy. Anyone who’s seen Madoka is probably familiar with what that is. But if you're not, here’s a definition: “ the measure of a system’s thermal energy per unit temperature that is unavailable for doing useful work...” He’s the embodiment of that energy that cannot be used for anything. And Entropy grows over time.

Another definition of what Entropy is “lack of order or predictability; gradual decline into disorder.”

In the comics, he’s more of a cosmic being as a result of him being an embodiment of unusable energy. He’s been in existence since, well, the beginning. He had destroyed the universe and recreated it multiple times. Okay, so that lines up with how the show portrays him. And technically, he does get the universe to reset itself in the 41st century when he alters the 31st century enough.

But I personally feel that making him a cosmic being is kinda… meh?

I personally prefer more personal villains most of the time. Don’t get me wrong, an Eldritch being done right makes a great character, but I can’t see Imperiex as one. At least not LoSH’s version.

Plus I like it when the protagonist sees the villain has a point and has changed as a result for the better.

You know, over a year ago, I used to think that it was impossible to make a tyrannical villain who’s presented as real evil seem complex.

And then… I was introduced to TFP Megatron.

Now for you LoSH fans who haven’t watched Transformers Prime, Megatron was once Megatronus. A low caste member who worked in the mines and Gladiator games. He wanted to fix the growing corruption of Cybertron. To make things better.

But his worse personality traits took over, and he lost that good motivation. Now he’s just fighting to win and defeat Optimus Prime.

But despite the change of goals and ideals, he doesn’t want to simply abandon his relationship with Optimus. He and Optimus, or as he used to be called, Orion, were fighting for the betterment of society. And they meant something to each other. Megatron doesn’t want to just get it over with. He wants fanfare for his victory over Optimus. And he doesn’t want anyone else to rob him off that. But he isn’t opposed to getting Optimus/Orion back on his side. It’s because of this you can still argue that there is a remaining shred of good in him.

They were the best young lovers anD NO I AM NOT CRYING OVER THEM!

Also, the fact we know he was part of a minority group in the form of the lower cast that was enslaved can make us sympathize with Megatronus of the past, as well as understand how he came to be.

It doesn’t mean we forgive him for his actions - and he has done a lot of shitty things. And I mean a lot.

But his history is more understandable. TFP Megatron’s a fall from grace.

OK I’m done dissecting TFP Meg’s writing.

We know Imperiex was a slave, and was originally organic, who’s from a society where his purpose is literally just to fight, and was gradually stripped of his original body. He was originally stripped of any agency before then though.

But he says this was a good thing. Calling his original body a weakness. And refers to his old self as a pathetic slave.

He gave up whatever softness he had.

Also, this is where K3NT’s story needs to be reexamined. Imperiex was made during what K3NT described as “A Time of Extended Prosperity”. That time had freaking slaves. And K3NT says that when Imperiex did rise up, they were unprepared. So… they were prosperous, but lacked defense to prevent anything like that happening? Or perhaps those who were in charge were that unpopular that it was easy for Imperiex to start the war.

What made him decide conquering the galaxy was the next thing to do after he had every bit of his original self stripped away? Why go as far as destroy it?

What I’m trying to say is that they could borrow a few pages from the Megatron book. Maybe he was once trying to better the society he was part of, but he decides to play the violent card at some point. And somewhere along that strategy, he starts to lose sight of the initial goal. With that, being the victor and in control becomes the main one.

Or perhaps he has grown cynical of the galaxy as it is and decides it just needs to go all together, and then start from scratch.

Like the second definition of Entropy, he gradually declines in predictability and descends into disorder.

Maybe to juxtaposition the fact that Brainiac became the main threat at the end, make him the opposite or foil to him. Rationality or logic do not serve as first-or-second influences to decisions under pressure. Emotions and his own perceived ideas do.

Speaking of Brainiac, maybe offer more of the OG Brainiac. Give us more of that smooth-voiced Corey Burton.

Or TFA Megatron.

I’m sorry I have fallen for the shady-business-mafia-boss-but-morally-grey robot.

Also, the members of the legion that only get one episode focus? Give them more screen time. You can’t just introduce superman’s new adopted son Karate Kid and just not bring him for another speaking role again!

Actually, that brings me to another point.

As @spandexinspace pointed out, his episode is not the best, and is arguably the worst written of the whole series. Things that are issues do get brushed off to the side.

So a proposal on potential rewrite:

First, have the legion look over its current rules and what exceptions/changes they need to make.

Explore the subject of kids having to participate in these fights.

To clarify, kid shows are meant to be escapism for kids.

Shocking, I know.

So it makes sense that some characters would be the same age as the viewers.

But while this is good representation, as you get older, you find yourself going “WHY WOULD THE ADULTS LET THEM ENDANGER THEMSELVES?!”

Kids having to fight at that age does have consequences. Batman Beyond certainly addressed it. So did Steven Universe Future.

Steven ended up being responsible for so much, that when he no longer needed to take care of things, he was unsure of who he was. And then there’s the fact he ended up with PTSD because of him having to fight so much. Then you have the fact that Greg and Rose never intended to raise him like their caretakers did... but as good as their intentions were, they still caused damage. Rose for… all the gem stuff. And look, Greg is a great dad, but not enforcing anything for Steven when he’s growing up still has it’s cost.

With Batman, he’s obviously going to do his damn best to keep kids safe, including the Robins. But sometimes, it’s not enough. He wasn’t able to keep Tim safe in the event with the Joker in Batman Beyond. Where he was held captive and tortured.

But the Batkids are never expected to resolve this stuff by themselves. Because Batman knows how much you can get screwed up as a kid. He fucking cares.

And to be fair, in most continuities I’m aware of, the other sidekicks came out pretty okay overall.

Except Jason Todd.

So my proposal?

Have Val originally with Grimbor, as a sort of Protege. But have the legion capture him, only to go “uhhh this is a child with no powers”. And Superman, being the good, wholesome paragon we all love, takes him under his wing.

In all honesty, I want Superman pulling a batdad for Karate Kid in his intro episode the whole time. That was the best part of the episode for me.

Plus after the events of “Cry Wolf”, the Legion should examine the no-killing rule. Because they do need to kill Imperiex to save the universe. But that goes against the code. But they can argue it’s a necessity. But Mar Londo is also a monster. He’s the everyday monster some of us have grown up with.

When do you need to make exceptions to kill someone?

And my final main suggestion:

Add more Mekt.

What the heck were you guys expecting? You all KNOW me by now. I LOVE MY GARBAGE BOY.

Joking aside, here’s what I would do.

Have the Chained Lightning episode pushed back, but have Mekt with Imperiex earlier. Most of us would yell “Why the heck would you join the guy whose main goal is to destroy the galaxy?!” But this is one of the easiest things to address.

Explore more of his past. Use the comic sources with him being outcast for being a solo on Winath. With that in mind, him deciding to side with Imperiex can make sense.

Why try protecting something that has done nothing but hurt you?

There’s actually a pretty good reason why he would side with Imperiex, as seen in Champions and Lightning Storm. As for why Imperiex would bother with Mekt? That’s a little harder to answer. He knows that Mekt has a soft spot for his brother, and in turn sister, which proves to be the reason why the Tachyon Cannon fails. You’d think Imperiex would remove a huge fatality.

But he doesn’t.

Maybe he could hold another type of value for Mekt. Perhaps... nostalgia?

I’m still sold on the idea that they were sleeping together.

Also, give us a conclusive answer on where Mekt stands with the LSV. In the comics, he was the leader, but that role was given to Tyr in the cartoon more or less.

basic summary: my name is dyke/eyez/circus/mask/whatever you wanna call me, im a minor, im nd and a qpoc, i use any pronouns but he/him (and dont like masc terms, including bro, dude, guy, lad, stuff like that), and im apart of a system.

request ; Hey! Would you consider making headcanons for being Polly's lost daughter and how she would react to the daughter just appearing one day telling her that they just told Polly that she's dead to keep her away? And how Polly would react and treat her afterwards + how the rest of the family would? 💜

i think this is a genius idea tbh; mainly because i refuse to believe in a world where Anna Gray isn't alive. I just need Polly to be happy? i don't think thats asking too much. So yer, thank you for this - you've fuelled my domestic fantasy where Polly has a full family and is never sad again. This one also hits hard for me because my mum was adopted as a baby, and I've always grown up wondering who my biological grandma is - so however you are and wherever you are granny i hope youre rocking on and having a good old time!

especially when you heard that the Tommy Shelby of Small Heath was the one putting feelers out for you

but being brought up in the care system (or lack there of it) had made your mind somewhat deviant and street smart

you also knew quite a few undesirable members of society, some of which had a level of power

it wasn't hard for them to formulate a fake paper trail

and just like that, Anna Gray was officially dead

you stayed in Australia but never felt settled again after that

as you got older, became an adult, the earlier anger turned into hurt

why had she left you?

why did she want you back?

i feel like these emotions would brew for a while but it would take a personal event to make you finally snap and want to go find Polly

you’ve always been careful with sleeping with men and not becoming a mum yourself so young but like you end up a month late for your period and are convinced you’re pregnant

queue storm of Angst

never feeling so close to understanding your mums decision as this

you go to the doctors and you aren't, but it sticks with you

or maybe its just when you have to leave your new family and move out alone, you realise how hard it is to be by yourself in the big city and also how much you need family

you go to Birmingham a month later

youre SHIT scared

and not just because youre well aware of the status your mothers family has

massive fear of rejection

youre well aware of the time thats passed in-between her looking for you and you actually showing up

what if she doesn't want to see you anymore?

what if she does but youre just not what she expected and she doesn't want to know you?

standing on her doorstep for like a good half hour before knocking

which alerts the boys that something fishy is going on

her coming to the door and you just standing there like a lemon with no clue what to say even though you've been literally planning this moment for as long as you can remember

finally getting the words out and making Polly the speechless one

she definitely doesn't fully believe you

she wants too, with her whole heart, but she doesn't think its possible for you to be alive so she thinks its some sick joke by one of their enemies

she definitely slaps you

you slap her back obviously

she's crying and shouting and you’re crying and shouting

everyones confused

Tommy and John coming out to break up whatever going on

“who Tommy?! who would send some whore and have them to pretend to be my Anna?”

“Oh IM the whore? who left who? i can't believe i even bothered coming all this way, all you've ever been is a disappointment, i wish i was dead so i never had to meet you “

Tommy and John feeling like they are watching Polly fight with Polly

“Pol, its her”

“How! How can i be her Tom?!”

ending up inside with Polly

the lads being nervous to leave you two together just incase you fight again but her sending them away

as soon as you start talking instead of shouting, she can take a proper look at you

and bOY do you look like her

it makes her feel warm and violently sick all in one

she probably actually has to excuse herself to vomit

she just needs to hold you

its a bit uncomfortable and awkward at first but then it all hits you at once and you can't stop yourself from sobbing

she's sobbing too

fuck me man everyones sobbing tbh

just sitting like that for hours, until you have no more tears to cry

“well lass, you’re far too skinny”

feeding you

drawing you a bath

putting the fire on for you

making sure she sets up a bed for you so you’re comfortable and i don't mean calling the maid in to do it, she wants to do it by hand so she knows its perfect

it taking a long time for you to trust her fully

but Polly literally doing everything she can to show you she will always regret losing you that day

finding out it wasn't her fault

“I didn't want to lose you, you or Michael, they took you away but i never ever stopped loving you. I thought about you every morning when i woke up and every night before i went to sleep, even after i thought you were gone’

meeting the boys properly

Tommy is cautious of you at first, not wanting to see Polly hurt but he grows to trust you and love you in his own nonchalant way

John and you being a comedy double act, you get his respect from day one for straight up fighting Polly fucking Gray in the street, and everyone else enjoys seeing him be torn apart by your humour

Arthur sees you as his little sister, would protect you with him whole life

Michael doesn't really remember you that well, but you grow to become siblings again

Ada has you over for sleepovers at least once a week, and youre even trusted to look after little Karl for her, she loves you and is the big sister you never thought you needed, but she also respects you for what you've been through and is always checking in and making sure youre okay and reminding you that youre part of a family now

Finn is probably the first ti accept you because its Finn guys, what an angel we STAN

it definitely takes a while, but youre glad of the day you stepped foot on Polly doorstep

and none of them can imagine life without you now.

Here is my respond to Jimin.

Hi Jiminshi,

Thank you for dropping FACE.

I just want to express my deepest gratitude.

I know that Im writing this in English and I apologize beforehand as English is not your mother tongue or first language. One of these days I swear I will sign up for a Korean language class.

However, I dont want to use google to translate what I want to say to you as it might get lost in translation.

In this letter to you, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to you for you just being you.

You have been a source of inspiration for me to become my better self (every day), warm blanket when I feel cold and lonely, bright moon in the star when I feel like my life is an endless long tunnel.

Seeing you grow as a person and as an artist, from the boy next door is so heart warming and again inspirational; truly cant find another word for it.

I find extreme comfort in the way you communicate with army. The way you deliver your message in such careful wordings and soft, warm undertone... Just gets my defense down every time.

I may not be the army who says "I hate myself" during one of your live... but some days when its really challenging for me to get out of bed... and when most relationships are based off profit and numbers - I hate myself. I hate myself for taking things too personally when people discounted me... and when I sometimes in return unintentionally treat others in the same way (conditional response).

But seeing you, watching you, with members, with fans, with staff, with peers... I really am inspired to be a good human like what you have always advocate... through your actions, your words and even your attire.

I love how you can be so unserious. You are always ready to laugh at yourself ... Following you, I suspect that this state of mind may also have been a journey filled with ups and down. But I think you have transform so beautifully that you can control your response to people with negative vibes without cutting them off. I tend to do the latter rather than the first as its quick, easy and painless. Love that in your laughter, you always stick to the highest standard for your work or should I say art. Work is too mundane of a word to describe what you put out to the world.

You are a role model to many. To the young, old, men, women, children...

I know this is a parasocial relationship and I should not depend on you to be my emotional crutch... As you have said to aforementioned army who hates him or herself : "Still, I wish you would not be so hard on yourself as you only have yourself" but its hard not to draw strength from you. Please let me draw strength from you until one day I can stand on my own.

So in return ... From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank you for being you, thank your parents for bringing you to this world, thank God for making you such an inspiration and history maker that you leaves prints on my life; a much welcome one. Thank the BTS members for being such a good friend / family / support system so that you glow up to be the person you are now (the ingredients are already there tho'). Thank you for the album as well as it gives me strength nowadays to wake up and fight for another day. The story your songs are communicating or should I say the stories behind your album is so relatable even to ordinary fans like me.

These words may have been voice out by others... it may have been redundant... Its not poetic or a rhyme. but its my sincere, unfiltered appreciation for you as the best human I have known. I am not good at expressing my feelings or appreciation through a more meaningful channel like art but I hope these words reach you. So that you can also draw strength from armies if you are feeling down.
