Round three of someone making Dick feel guilty for not becoming Batman!

Dick looks so good covered in blood and getting trash-talked by his enemies

I actually like Damian's white suit, I think it looks cool, but it's very impractical for getting out bloodstains when your father's dead adopted son shoots you in the chest as part of his getaway plan.

I really sympathize with Dick, younger brothers are always causing problems! (This is a joke because I'm pretty sure Dick doesn't even consider either of them his brother at this point. He thinks Damian is an annoying kid he got stuck with and Jason is a homicidal maniac, so. Do with that what you will.)

Baby, you are so unwell. You are just like Bruce and you are trying so hard not to be but everyone is pushing you to be him anyway. Dick's got a big fear of failure (and can you blame him with a perfectionist like Batman for a mentor?) and here he's feeling like he's failing Damian, he's failing Gotham, and he's failing Bruce.

So unwell! The savior complex is strong in you. The guilt is going to eat you alive and I am here for it. I love to see my blorbos suffer.

Bloody hell I love the guy but stephen mulhern certainly has his fingers in a lot of pies rn 😂 Can't believe he's doing dancing on ice tbh. Not into it myself but my mum forces me too watch it as well as strictly aha

February Book Reviews: In For A Penny by Rose Lerner

Read this because I've liked Lerner's books in the past and it's free on hoopla. When Nev's father dies suddenly, Nev's left with his unexpectedly large debts. In best Regency hero tradition, he has no other choice than to marry the rich heiress he met briefly only one day earlier, in a desperate attempt to repair his finances.

This is, of course, very far from an original plot. But Lerner does manage to put a unique sparkle on it. It helps that Nev is mostly frivolous and impractical at first, rather than a serious gambler or worse. I also like that while the heiress Penelope is trained for accounting, neither of them are really prepared to run a large estate, which prevents that plot thread from being neatly and unrealistically tidied up. In fact, the second half of the book has an unusually large number of plotlines, many of them political.

If not as good as her later books, this definitely stands out from the usual crowd of Regencies for its decent research and more detailed plot.
