really starting to think someone put the evil eye on me.....
#all 3 of my final lab exams went horribly#today i had an oral exam & my first train was canceled & the second one was 20 minutes late#i arrived 7 minutes late but i was thankfully still on time bc there was still another student in the exam room#my teacher obviously wasn't amused but she was still nice & i got a b which i'm satisfied with#but my teacher seems convinced that i can do much better like a b isn't a good grade?? let me live 😭#i guess i was still lucky bc i was there on time after all & got a good grade but it was soooo stressful i'm glad i didn't cry#and my mom made it so much worse when i told her my train wasn't coming she got all mad at me like it was my fault???#she kept saying i finally need to grow up like girl what does that have to do with the train being canceled? 😭#she stressed me out even more & she actually could've easily driven me to my exam bc i had still had over an hour to get there#but instead she kept berating me and making me feel even worse...#and i kept telling her i'm already stressed enough can't you tell me smth uplifting but she just kept being negative & condescending#it's a little frustrating how all my exams before the finals went so good but now that it really matters everything seems to be going south#but ultimately i just want to pass everything and never set foot into this school again i can't wait for all this to be over 😪#and sometimes i really think the girls i surround myself with at school want me to fail..#like i often miss school bc of mental problems & sometimes i feel like they're mad that i still do well in school??#idk maybe i'm reading too much into it but sometimes it really feels like they're waiting for my downfall#our 'friendship' is very superficial as well & i often feel left out from the group tbh#like last friday i stayed behind a little to talk to a girl & none of them waited for me even though we all go to the train station togethe#but they always wait for the other girls of the group..#i'm not taking this too personally bc i don't see them as good or close friends & i know once school is over i won't see them again anyways#but it does hurt a little bc i'm always the odd one out who struggles to make friends no matter where i am#either way..... please please please just let me pass all of my exams & let everything fall into place in my life 🧿🧿🧿#☁️

i read a paper today for uni that was written by i don't remember exactly who but one of the authors at least was a founder of google and they introduced google in the paper as this unfamiliar concept and they kept adding descriptors of what 'google' was to remind readers and it was surreal to read because it was only written in like, 1998 or something like that
i was born in 2000 and spent the first 10 years of my life barely aware of the world and i've had several moments over the past few years where i've gone oh wow. xyz really ISN'T that old. i've just never known anything different. i always struggled with this weird feeling in high school that the world was already well established and there was nothing new going on and i was born too late to make any new or valuable contributions anywhere. it turns out there's potential and growth everywhere and i just never had that reflected in my education. i never knew how recent some of the things i take for granted are. they never told us about new discoveries being made all the time. there's so much unknown and left to explore actually. i wish i'd known it earlier, but it always fills me with hope to learn it now.
sometimes the way things are just sucks. but sometimes a key piece of information was only discovered 20 years ago so there's actually still a lot of research and change going on. it's just not necessarily what you're reading in the news daily.
#this might be something that's only relevant to me also#because i grew up so so so so so so so SO unaware of the world it's ridiculous#i don't think i even properly conceived of the idea of countries until i was over the age of 10#i was a slow learner. i mean i still am. but mentally i feel like i was really behind as a kid#school was always like here's how things are. they're facts. that's it. they were never like here's what we don't know#i just assumed everything was already figured out#again. i'm not the smartest bulb around.#i am slow. but. maybe it's not just me lol#it gave me a weird amount of anxiety too. if everything is established and this bad thing or thing i don't like is around#then the world kind of sucks a little bit#nope! it's growing baby! i did not have the scope to see it#it's hard to release what i take for granted#but sometimes i happen to read something that casually mentions how recent something is#and i'm like what the fuck#what do you mean this was created in my lifetime?#idk. it makes me hopeful. things haven't stilled. i just need to keep learning to see how much things grow#if this only happened recently...there's so much potential for things to get better. it's still 'early' days#idk if this makes any sense#it's been a very helpful thing for my dumb ass to learn though

yell at me if i'm wrong but there's something i've noticed. in a lot of lgbt+ online spaces people get really mad if there's a non-passing trans woman (like hana from tokyo godfathers) and call them charicatures and transphobic (which they aren't, they're often just poor non-passing trans women but whatever) but these same spaces don't bat an eye whenever there's a non-passing trans man. it just feels these people's perception of trans men is just men lite TM. idk maybe i'm reading too much into it
I think it really depends on the spaces - I’ve seen that stuff in spaces dominated by people who are FtX/FtM. The lack of people who are MtX/MtF to give input and perspective really leads to them getting warped ideas about people who are MtX/MtF and their experiences.
People have an easier time accepting people like them than people who are different - so spaces that have a lot of people who are FtXs/FtM are gonna be more welcoming to people who are FtX/FtM - both passing and non-passing - than they are people who aren’t. Just how people are sometimes. Isolated groups online always get weird and unwelcoming like that in my experience. It’s weird and it sucks.
I usually stay away from those places online and stick to more mixed spaces that have equal amounts of people who are FtX/FtM and MtX/MtF bc those places are more normal about all types of trans people.

Makes a show of getting something down for you, probably overstretches himself and gets on his tip tops to sell the point (he, of course, not needing to do any of thst thanks to his height)

The "how to talk to short people" meme but hes on the incorrect side by crouching down to your height/j he doesnt mean anything rude by it..! Sometimes likes to mess with your tail by petting the fur when you guys cuddle inside the pillow fort! Honestly I can see him with a fidgeting habit, too, like jax! I'm a new 9-1-1 viewer (binge watched the first 6 seasons like two weeks before the new one came out and been watching season 7 as it comes out) and I'm so glad I found your blog because it annoys me how most of the conversation around the show is always about b*ddie and I really needed to find people who weren't b*ddie shippers. Like, I get why people ship it even if I don't particularly see it or agree with it but they're always trying to prove how this plot point or the other points at them becoming canon next episode and it's so annoying? Especially now that Tommy is in the picture because I think he's such a great LI for Buck and has so much endgame potential but they're all talking about him being a "stepping stone" for their ship and completely ignoring how this is a chance for him to be in a loving, stable relationship in the long run, something he absolutely deserves.
Honestly sometimes I feel like b*ddie shippers don't even care or like Eddie and Buck, they just want them to kiss onscreen and ignore their well written arcs just because they don't end up in them being canon (which honestly after seven seasons of the same clownery they should have learnt by now that maybe it's just not happening and that's okay! they're well thought out, fully fleshed characters that don't need to be involved romantically to have a satisfying storyline!)

it is unfortunate that the show has so many great characters and dynamics that get consistently drowned out by a single fanon ship. i get it if you're just here for b*ddie, but to make a big fuss over losing a single scene in another couple's big episode? when you still got something? sometimes you need a reality check that the show is actually about other people too
fandom is not about hunting for hints that your ship is going canon. like, i have never seen a fandom that seems to spend more time "proving" their ship is gonna go canon than actually, you know, doing fandom stuff. (i was not in spn/destiel, idk what nonsense went on there) we're supposed to ignore what the TPTB say while we play with our dolls because it doesn't matter, not ignore what they say because clearly they're lying and misdirecting and building up to do what they have have said, as explicitly as they can in tv world, won't be happening. this obsession with "going canon" is, frankly, weird in fandom.
my blood pressure goes up when i read the phrase "stepping stone". even if bucktommy doesn't last, they will never have been a stepping stone. one, because it is a relationship, and relationships can't be stepping stones, that is such a cynical way to look at things and really makes me wonder about some of these people's real life relationships (yeah i know it's fiction, but y'all take it too far in your vitriol for it not to be invading your personal lives) and two, because b*ddie is not happening, so it can't be a stepping stone to it.
they have done everything they can except saying "b*ddie isn't happening" because in tvland ambiguity is your best friend. but ryan calling eddie heterosexual twice is not ambiguous. and i've already said, but ignoring what ryan has said about the coming out scene because it doesn't fit your headcanon is extremely disrespectful. it is fiction, but it is fiction made by people drawing from real life experiences and y'all are shitting on that
and tommy does have such potential!! they like to shit on us for saying that, "oh he's only been there for 4 eps, we don't even know anything about him", and, ignoring that we actually do know some stuff about tommy, more than we've gotten for other LI's, that's why we say potential. we are looking at possible future storylines and seeing how tommy could fit. we are looking at what was lacking in prev LI's (not in a deficient way, just in a compatibility way) and seeing how tommy can fill the spaces they couldn't.
we're basing our theories of him at least sticking around for a bit, not on wardrobe hints and coded gazes and what actors post on their socials, but by what we've seen on-screen, what has been said in interviews in black&white no hidden meaning, and by simple knowledge of story pacing.

Every day for the past month or two, you've started noticing you and Price don't have that much in common, he's way more experienced in life and everything new to you is old news to him. Stressing over your thoughts as you're standing over your dining room table and attempting doing a puzzle, you don't notice Price until his arms wrap around your waist. "Any closer to finishing this yet?" His remarks at your previous attempts of finishing a puzzle make you laugh a bit, turning your head back to the task at hand.

Price slides his hand underneath your smaller hand, wrapping his digits with yours as he brings your hand up to his lips to kiss it, the beard and moustache he's so proud of tickling your knuckles.
"What's taking your attention, my love?" His soothing voice is like velvet in your ears, and you gnaw at the inside of your cheek just slightly, thinking if now is really a great time to start mentioning your insecurities.
"It's stupid, really don't worry -" he cuts you off "No no honey, it's clearly bothering you, so it must be important, even a bit, hm?" His words make you sigh. You take a seat, still fiddling with a puzzle piece between your fingers. He lets go of your hand, and instinctively, you pull it back to yourself and use it to assist your other hand at studying the puzzle piece. He takes a seat beside you and scoots the chair closer to yours. "I've just been thinking-" you hold a quick pause, "Of our age gap. Sometimes I feel like you'd be better off with a woman..that's actually your age." Your voice goes quieter the longer you talk. "And maybe some day you'll realize that and leave me.." Looking down, you've stopped moving the puzzle piece around and now just look at the part of a flower on it.
He seems a little dumbfounded, mouth opening and closing in his search for words, and after a couple of useless seconds of searching, he lets out a chuckle. Lifting your head, you see him smiling down at you, his smile lines creased up. "Oh, I see, my dear.. I can assure you that's not the case here. Never has been." Now it's your time to look dumbfounded as you mutter out excuses.
His rough hands move to cradle your head as his thumb tips find their places on your cheekbones, caressing them down in a soothing motion, he hushes you. His eyes locking onto yours, his face is relaxed and a little entertained. "What would make you think of such things?" You completely melt against his hands, leaning your face into his touch, looking for your words. "Sometimes I just feel like we don't have a lot of stuff in common..and when something is new and exciting for me- I'm scared it's boring and repetetive for you.." You close your eyes and tilt your head down, letting your hair droop over your face. Price smiles at you, brushing your hair back behind your ear and lifting your chin. "Oh I promise you, seeing you get excited over something is not boring.." Your eyes flutter open and they meet with his. Before you can start questioning him, he slides his thumb from your cheek onto your lips. You look at him as you place a soft kiss to the tip of his thumb, giving him a small smile.
"I've never felt like our relationship is complicated in that matter, we still love each other..And I don't think having things in common is necessary to that.." You start to blush at his comforting words. This is something you're really starting to wish you would have opened up earlier for conversation. But the important thing is that now he's aware and you're feeling reassured.
"Are we on the same page now dear?" His voice is quiet when he asks, giving him a nod and a "Yeah~..." as an answer. He pulls you in gently by your face, lips pressing into yours. You kiss him back, the scent of tobacco in his breath and the bitter taste on his lips is something you've started to like. You wrap your arms around his neck, running your fingers through his soft hair. The seconds go by fast, too fast as he stops the kiss. Eyes opening to meet yours, he gives you an other reassuring smile, making you blush and avert your gaze back to the puzzle.
"The piece goes here darling.." he points to a spot in the low left corner of the puzzle and you give him a sarcastic 'I knew it' as you place the piece to its respected place.

are there any magic things you do really frequently? whats the schedule/how did it end up that way?
Actually, not many! I've struggled with finding a routine and being consistent in my craft for most of the time I've been practicing, and only within the past six months have I truly found the sudden ability to consistently do things. I do have a few, though.
Cards! I work with my tarot/Oracle cards pretty often now. This is just whenever I feel like it, but it results in doing nearly daily. Even just doing one card because I want insight on something random, or if I'm anxious about something I immediately grab my cards. Since yesterday I've been doing a ton of free readings, so I've been doing even more card work than usual.
I regularly just grab a crystal and sit with it. This isn't something I have to think about much, so it's easy. I've spent time laying with black kyanite just watching tv on my before because I needed intense grounding. My birth chart is over 50% earth so I was bound to work with crystals lol.
I just sort of... Chat with my deities and guides? Idk how often others experience more "direct" communication, just vibes/thoughts from your deities, but I do sometimes. I struggle to trust my intuition, but the more I learn to trust the more I get. Loki sometimes offers outright running commentary on things- they're definitely the loudest. Loki likes to watch one of my comfort animes with me, which confused the hell outta me the first time.
I wear witchy jewelry! I have three necklaces I wear daily. One protection symbol from my brother, another protection symbol from a personal guide of mine, and one bird necklace from Loki! I also carry crystals- different ones depending on how I feel. Maybe I'll start a daily crystal post of what I'm carrying on me to help me remember to take them out of my damn pockets.
Oh also I have a little crystal spell under my pillow for good sleep/the appropriate amount of sleep because I tend to sleep too much or too little. Also protection from Hades, he wanted an obsidian of his in there to involve his protection specifically. I try to charge it often.
I'll reblog this later with my favorite resources on day-to-day simple witchcraft, to give something that can be applied! Right now I'm a bit tired so I'm not hunting them down yet.

FEM! TRAFALGAR LAW HEADCANONS BECAUSE I LOVE WOMEN
a/n : sometimes i just wish law was actually written as a girl cuz DAMN
first off, CLOTHES SHE'D WEAR!!
i'm getting major streetwear/chola style vibes from fem! law
like i mean ripped up baggy jeans, croptops, hoodies, oversized t-shirts, sports bras, long clickity clackity nails (if she really wanted to but very occasionally), and of course (his? her?) their hat
she got her earrings done when she was too little to remember so it's just annoying to have to redo them every so often
i have no clue who'd do her tattoos since she most definitely wouldn't trust some sketchy guy to do them
maybe herself but i don't think that's it either
and whenever you ask her, she makes up a different story (like that one blond guy in "ratatouille" who has a criminal record)
"woke up with it" "they're stick n pokes" "this guy i knew who would only wear bucket hats" and of course "nunya"
she is half german and half mexican (may or may not be self projection with the mexican part)
i get HUGE ymir from aot vibes with fem! law
she appears rude, hardheaded, and pessimistic, but she really does care about others and does have some hope in her (wishing her crew likes her horrendous hawaiian shirts)
her music taste is rock, rap, indie dream pop (tv girl), and then sad spanish songs that slap way too hard (i'm thinking "no me queda mas" by selena, a bunch of vicente fernandez songs my mom loves to play at full volume, and "amor eterno" by rocio durcal)

i think the type of person she needs as a partner would have to be okay with silence, they have to be outgoing and fun but mature with intense situations, and yeah

LOVE LOVE LOVES cringy 70s/80s/90s movies (think "grease", "the princess bride", "pretty in pink", "10 things i hate about you", etc.)
she doesn't know why. she hates the dumb stereotypes and all that stuff, but she just can't help it! she's so real for it too
idk why but i feel like she'd LOVE spiderman???? like as an obsession?
she is pretty normal about the live action movies, it's just SPIDERVERSE THAT MAKES HER GO CRAZY
she also wants to be good at art but never has motivation to do it
she def has an upside down smile (that what it's called? i think of it more as a "oh that's cringy look and stare y'all" smile)
is she scrawny? muscular? i can't decide honestly. like yeah guy law has some brawn, but he is still a pretty lanky guy, so that's why i see fem! law as a lanky chick. but i love muscular women... goddamn she is just lanky. she obviously has some meat on her bones, but not much.
that being said, i don't think she's very curvaceous either (let's pretend oda didn't draw her the way he did). she is no doubt an a cup, and while her butt is fairly larger, she's still pretty flat.
she also only ever wears sports bras since she thinks regular bras are uncomfy and a hassle.
for a va to replace masc! law's, i would say for japanese romi park. for english, i'd say either trina nushimura or elizabeth maxwell.
for one piece live action, i would want like zendaya as fem! law 😭 aye anything for queen zendaya
only bepo knows this, but she wears socks and sandals on sundays no fail.
has a tattoo somewhere of bepo's name inside a heart with an arrow through it (think those tattoos that tough guys get, with instead of bepo, "mom" is what's written)
fem! law still wears ugly ass hawaiian shirts, don't get it mixed up ✊

i started putting this in the tags of another post and then it was too much so here we are but;
i think one of the big problems with fic recs on tiktok is that fanfic authors have no control over how their fics are being presented or what other media they're being put in conversation with
and this sometimes results in people reading the fics that were recommended and feeling they did not get the story they were promised. And when this happens the person they get mad at is not the person who recommended the fic but the author. it takes on this very transactional tone of "i did not get the service i was promised" or "you sold this to me using false advertising" which is a) yet another way fanfiction is being packaged and understood as a commodity and b) is not what happened, fanfic authors have no control over how other people present their fics to you or how the fandom has decided to talk about their fics etc. etc. etc.
another thing that fic recs tend to do, is come in list formats, very "top five fics you have to read" or "the best wolfstar fics" or "my favourite fics ranked in order" which creates a hierarchy that should just not exist in fandom. at least in my personal opinion. and lots of times, even if the video itself is respectful, the comment sections are not. and they will tear down the fics on the list that they feel like don't deserve to be there or should have been ranked lower etc. etc. which i think is just like, idk, in bad taste?? and fostering conversations and attitudes i don't think belong in this space. and not for nothing, but i personally hate it when people compare me and my friends and like, pit us against one another? like i know i'm being a baby but i can't help it. it feels awful and it makes me anxious.
so it's like, yes, of course, i love it when people recommend my stories because it's so lovely and flattering and makes this feel like a big book club. but the flip side of that is i hate it when people present my stories as products that you "just have to buy" or make promises about them that i have never made, or use them to put down other fics. which i fear is almost an inevitable part of recommending fics on tiktok where the rec video itself is content that they are trying to sell, to get views and likes, so they need a hook, they need something to make it interesting, and fanfic authors a lot of the time i think, end up being the victims of that.
which isn't me saying that no one should recommend fics on tiktok. or that people who do are somehow doing something wrong. cause i dont think either of those statements are true. but i do think that these are things that the people making these videos aren't necessarily considering, and that maybe, it would be good if they did????? I DON"T KNOW I DIDN"T REALLY COME UP WITH A CONCLUDING ARGUMENT I"M SO SORRY
